She took Chase's phone putting her number in it, as chaos began to erupt. Someone had come up and grabbed Chase, and he had run off she assumed to deal with his siblings. She was at least lucky that Mads was a big goof ball, and she didn't have to deal with breaking up fights. She wouldn't be able to breakup a fight between two guys anyways, so she thought, she hadn't had to test her skills anyways.

She could hear screaming coming from the room around the corner, taking a few short steps in that direction, everyone had gathered around, the blonde Mads had been talking to, and the dark haired boy that joined them on the dance floor. She knew it had to be time to leave, and even though Chase was dealing with a whole lot of drama, she came up beside him tapped him on his forearm, and silently gave him his phone back. She ran off to find Mads.

Her phone buzzed, looking down on it she saw Drake's twitter post.
"Oh fucking hell" She said pushing her self off of her chair, and stormed towards all the commotion. She should of figured it was Mason doing, most party fights were from him hooking up with some beefy guys girlfriend. But before she didn't even make it to the kitchen before she ran square into his chest. "Really. Alaska." She said looking up towards him. "Alright Mason, I think you're drunk enough... Lets go get some food." As she started walking towards the door.

"Well that game ended rather quickly" He looked over at Scarlet, completely oblivious to the fight going on. He wasn't sure why Ryder had run off, and then Ash followed. "I think I'd call that a draw?" He made his way over to her, "So where did you move from?" Scarlet didn't even have a chance to answer when Rae came up "Hey, we're leaving now" He ignored Rae's attempt to leave, usually it was just her anxiety that made her want to leave the parties early. "Hey Rae, this is Scarlet she's new here too. Scarlet, my sister Rae."

Rae just grabbed her brothers arm, "The party is over big shot, we're going home."

"Waaaitttt" He said pulling himself back over to Scarlet and handing her his phone. "Put your number in it, and maybe we can meet up on Monday at school, I mean I don't really know my way around, but I can still show you some places" He let his sister drag him away after Scarlet handed him his phone back. "See you around Scar!"

Rae started to think about the boy she had met earlier that night, till all the chaos erupted, a small smile crept its way onto her face, thinking about eating lunch on Monday with Chase.

Chase

After the shit show that was his younger siblings, Chase had spent most of the weekend avoiding them both at all costs. He'd felt bad for his little sister, even if it had been her own shitty decision, and had brought her an assortment of feel better snacks, though he noticed she hadn't really eaten them. Even if he was better at dealing with girl's than Ryder he still didn't know how to help her, though he'd encouraged Ryder to apologize and received a glare in response.

School on Monday was a relief and a concern, Ryder would be in the same place as Alaska and Mason for the first time (assuming he showed up) and his younger brother was unpredictable. The fact that he hadn't murdered Mason on the spot was a miracle, and probably had something to do with Ash bless her soul, but that didn't mean he wouldn't change his mind.

On the bright side, he'd been texting Rae a lot over the weekend and they'd planned to meet up for lunch, which was a welcome distraction from what was going on at home. Speaking of the brunette, he spotted her at her locker as he headed to his first class, smiling brightly as he walked up to her.

"Hey, sorry about all the commotion Saturday. I promise our lunch will go uninterrupted." He said, hoping he could fulfill that promise.

Alaska

giphy.gif

Staying the night with Ash had been rather awkward, but it was better than going home. This sleepover was much different than the last one they'd had, both girls getting ready for bed in silence and almost immediately passing out. She'd left almost immediately after waking up after placing a sticky note on the beside thanking Ash for her hospitality, not wanting to over stay her welcome more than she already had. Not wanting to wake her up or call her brothers, she decided walking home was her best option since the West's only lived maybe fifteen minute from them. It was only a little after seven when she snuck through the front door as quietly as possible, hoping not one was awake yet.

"Where have you been?" Her mother's voice called from the kitchen, anger clear in her tone. Alaska swore under her breath, hanging her head as she walked towards the lecture she knew she would be getting. "You disgrace this family by punching your brother in front of the whole school, and as if that isn't enough he gets into another fight for you and you stay out all night avoiding him?" Mrs. Vaughn practically yelled, her voice shaky as she glared up from the kitchen table at her daughter. Alaska stood silently, knowing nothing she would say would stop her mother's anger. "Your father would be ashamed of you. You're grounded, you go to school ad practice and right back home."

The brunette just nodded, turning away from her mother before she could start crying again and heading upstairs to the bathroom. Once inside she locked the door behind her, digging through her makeup drawer to find the blade that was hidden beneath it all. She hesitated as she looked in the mirror, wondering if maybe this time she was strong enough to deal with her emotions the healthy way, but the guilt was so overwhelming she couldn't handle it and dragged the sharp edge across her sensitive skin. Once, then twice, then a few more times until she couldn't take anymore.

Alaska hated herself, and so did everyone else. She knew her brothers resented her for causing so much trouble for them all the time, and now her only true friend hated her as well. She had nothing and no one.

When she was done she wiped the crimson droplets off of the sink and cleaned the blade before putting it back in its hiding spot, feeling better and worse at the same time. She walked into her bed room with heavy feet, emotionally exhausted and pretty hungover. Luna was laying on her bed when she came in, the small girl snuggling up against her dog before finally falling into a deep sleep.

Monday was horrible. Alaska hadn't seen anyone except Chase since she'd left Ash's house, and she knew everyone was going to have something to say about what happened with Mason. Usually, she would've just punched the first person to open their mouth and set an example for everyone else, but she was so tired she couldn't find the anger to care. She kept her head down as she walked to her locker, feeling the weight of everyone's gaze on her back. God, she missed Drake. If anyone could make her feel better it was her best friend, but she'd been too afraid to even apologize, worried that he'd tell her he didn't want to be friends anymore.

She stopped dead in her tracks as she noticed the bright red sharpie on her locker, the word Slut scrawled out in big block letters. It shouldn't have hurt her but it did, and she punched the metal, even though she knew a little dent wouldn't stop everyone from seeing what was written there. She needed to get out, avoiding everyone who tried to stop her as she found the nearest bathroom to hide in.

Ryder

tumblr_pduh37nPDS1sa52c7o5_540.gif

Monday was a bad day already. Within moments of arriving at school he felt the anger from Saturday working its way to the surface as he felt several eyes on him. He wished he'd bashed Mason's face in, and maybe given the chance today he might do just that. The weekend hadn't lessened his anger, in fact it had only made him more upset. Home had become a prison, all three Vaughn siblings either stayed locked in their rooms or spent extra time at the rink. Ryder spent most of Sunday with Ash, wanting to get his mind off of it all. She'd been so proud of him for not punching Mason it almost made him not want to.

He was on his way to find Ash when he spotted Alaska standing in front of her locker, watching as she turned to walk away and almost bumped into her. The look in her eyes was murderous and broken all at once, and he wondered what could have possibly happened this time.

"Hey where are you going?" He called as she pushed past him and down the hallway. Looking back at her locker he was what had upset her, clenching his fists as he read what was written. Alaska had made a dumb decision, but she didn't deserve that. No one did.

His little sister had disappeared before he could stop her, and he sighed as he realized maybe he did need to apologize to her. "Whoever did this is going to wish they'd never been born." He announced, to no one in particular. Maybe Ash could help out with this, so he set off to find the blonde with intent.

'Hey!" He called, jogging up to her locker and giving her a small smile.

Mason
tumblr_inline_pav9pyUxwK1rw8cq9_250.gif

When he woke up the following morning, Mason had had almost no recollection of what had happened the previous night. All that he had remembered at first was yelling, slapping, and then sleeping with someone and when he looked over and saw Carter, panic immediately washed over him. Here he had tried to drown his feelings in alcohol but instead, he'd slept with his only friend. Carter woke up soon after while he was panicking, loudly informed he was a dumb ass and that it had been Alaska, and then Mason had felt even worse. He had promised Drake that Alaska was off limits, and now he'd just broken that.

Soon after, he had left Carter's and checked his phone to see way too much drama -- plus a text from Bryan saying that Drake was passed out on his kitchen floor and wouldn't move. So Mason headed over there, his heart dropping when he found Drake. He'd woken up his brother who barely even looked at him, and then the two had headed home. Drake had crawled into bed and hadn't moved all weekend, and Mason felt even worse for not being there to stop him from drinking as much as he had. It seemed like every time his brother tried to get better, some party happened, he drank, and he slipped right back into depression.

On Sunday, Mason had gone to visit Ari and at least that had lifted his spirits. There was nothing like having the little girl loudly yell "Daddy!" repeatedly as she threw her arms around him, giving him a tight hug and reminding him that no matter how much he fucked up at school, Ari would still love him... and then he realized that he couldn't keep doing what he was doing. He'd already told Carter that, and then he'd turned around and slept with Alaska. But playing with little Ari, thinking about what the future would hold and when she'd be with him all the time again, and how much looking at her reminded him of Adriane.... Well, he couldn't be another relationship like that, or be bringing home random girls. He wanted Ari to have some kind of stability, to not get attached to girls who wouldn't stay around -- he didn't want Ari growing up how he had, and that was enough for him to know he needed to do something.

On Monday morning, he had pulled Drake out of bed, nagging him until he managed to get ready and then the two had headed to school. Upon arriving, Drake had gone his own way and Mason had headed towards his locker. He tried to ignore the stares of everyone as he made his way through, but it was increasingly hard, especially when they started whispering. Mason was also waiting for Ryder to come out of somewhere and punch him, although he knew he wouldn't fight back. Why would he? At this point, he deserved it.

------------------------------------

Drake
giphy.gif

He'd had no idea of what he'd done until Bryan kicked him away the next morning, and he checked his phone to see the Tweet that he had sent. Instant guilt had washed over Drake and then he had proceeded to lay on the kitchen floor until Mason came over and helped him home. No words were spoken between the brothers. Everything felt so... difficult to do. He'd gotten out of the taxi, staring up at the stairs to their apartment, his arms hanging limply by his sides before he followed Mason up the stairs, to his room, and then crawled under his blankets. All the energy was sapped from him, just like that.

Drake had laid like that until Mason announced that he was going to visit Ari, then he had moved enough to pull the bag of pain pills out from his night stand. He'd laid there, staring at the bag in silence while contemplating just taking them all and being done with the rollercoaster of emotions, and how he'd just ruined not only Mason's life but Alaska's. God... that was the worst part of this -- who knew what Alaska was going through? Drake wasn't even upset about the whole sleeping with each other. Mason had slept with every girl that had been interested in Drake, every date he'd been on, and every female friend he'd had. It was nothing new to him, but knowing that Alaska was going to have to face the rage of the school and Ryder killed him. And finally, he shoved the bag back into the night stand. He couldn't end it all, not when Alaska would need him after this mistake.

Monday morning came and Drake hadn't wanted to go to school, but he'd already missed so much from the last time that Mason dragged him out of bed to the floor, then to the bath tub where he'd turned the shower on him. For a moment, Drake still hadn't moved and just let the water run over the dress clothes and the loose tie he still hadn't removed. But finally, he had gotten up, peeled the clothes from his body, sank to the tub floor, cried, then gotten out and dressed.

Together, the brothers walked to school, but each step felt like a marathon. It was weird since just last week, he'd been running a couple miles before Mason was even awake -- and now he didn't even have the energy to walk to school. So by time they got there, he felt as if he'd just walked from Canada or something. He didn't spend much time grabbing his things from his locker, then he'd walked past Alaska's locker but didn't see her. All he saw was the word "slut" painted across her locker, and if didn't already feel so numb, he would've felt sad, angry at himself, anger at whoever did it.

Finally, he made his way to his first class where he sat down at his desk, folded his arms on the table, and then buried his head in an attempt to shut out the whole world.

Ash
3ae39b16c9de6111c969c7b278988876.gif

She'd been very surprised that Ryder hadn't killed Mason, but also proud. Although it had been at a party, with no chance of getting suspended, so... Ash would've said just punch him. Anyway, she had taken Alaska home with her, although it had been awkward, and was kind of relieved that she was gone when Ash had woken up the next morning. Her weekend went by fairly uneventful, with the only good thing getting to be hanging out with Ryder on Sunday -- and she had made a point to tell him how happy she was that he hadn't killed Mason. Alaska was able to make her own decisions, even if it was a stupid one.

Monday came far too soon. Ash was at her locker, getting her books and listening to the gossip going on around her when Ryder came up. Instantly, her face lit up in a bright smile at the arrival of her not boyfriend. "Hey," she said, and then her smile faded as she asked; "How's Alaska?" All weekend, she'd been worried about Alaska and worried with what would happen when Monday came around. The school could be ruthless, especially with something like this.

After all, Ash had dealt with her own things after the whole sleeping with Ryder thing. All the cat calls and slut jokes had been terrible to deal with but just as quickly as they had started, they had faded into nothing. And if anyone could deal with all the bullying of high schoolers, it would be Alaska. She was strong, and she had friends to help her though it... right?

Neck Tie
funny-alarm-clock-animated-gif-5.gif

Among the vast myriad of inventions to have graced the grand history of our human species, none is so universally despised than the humble, two-legged alarm clock.

Tick. . . Tick. . . Tick. . .

So moved the hand of the clock, slapping itself onto the nearest number with a cold, calculating precision. And with it moved Time itself. Time memorial and immemorial. Time. . . foreseeing that soft dim which rose behind the curtains, peering first through maple leaves and branches then through the glass and the filaments, scattering into a room once dark, now slowly rejuvenated in the quiet rhythm of dawn. And so up and up traversed this warm modest light, upon its divinely ordained trajectory, to reveal in its creepage every mote of floating and constellating dust. Till its sacred illumination strained upon every piece of furniture, beginning with those beechwood legs which touched the carpet, and hugging the bedposts like sprouting vines in its upward soar, with an eye upon its grandest prize. . .

So moved the hand of the clock, ticking away at the mercy of its mindless mechanism, within which microscopic wheels turned upon macroscopic wheels, each rotation bringing the atoms closer into unkind orbit. Meanwhile the light of day carried on its relentless ascent, until it had mounted upon the clouds the sun as if upon the pedestal. . . Back in the room, darkness was finally banished. The cold of night supplanted with the warmth of hopeful rays now stretched upon the face of a sleeping youth, half-clad in blankets, whose head rested on a soft, fluffy pillow. The sunlight turning gold his pale, innocent features.

His eyes flickered in his sleep. The morning falling upon him with feathery gentleness, soft as a mother’s touch. In the boy’s dream, sheep and their lambs safely graze beside the bank of a tranquil stream. Beyond the sparkling ripples on sunlit waters, an endless countryside stretching yonder into plains and valleys infinite. And yet. . . in this calm Eden lurked a treacherous monster: Satan himself, first in rank among the fallen angels. Only this time disguised not as a slithering serpent, but as a creature far more vile and far more contemptible: The humble, two-legged alarm clock.

So spake the grisly terror, and in shape,
So speaking and so threatening, grew tenfold
More dreadful and deform. . .

Tick. . . Tick. . . Tick. . .

And finally. . .

It rang.

Chaos, unleashed. Hells, ruptured. Heavens, divided.

The boy flew out of his bed like a shot from the cannon.

Into the dark abyss between bed and bedside table he went, with a crashing noise. The metallic end of the alarm clock landing flat on his forehead as he cried in horror and pain.

Rise and shine, Neck Tie.

She had just closed her locker when Chase came over to her, she wasn't good at this whole flirting thing, but Phoenix had been coaching her all weekend with her responses. She bit her lip leaning back against her locker. Wishing that Kerry could be in her head to help her out, but she was going to have to do this alone eventually. He couldn't follow her around everywhere they went.

"You don't have to keep apologizing" A grin emerged, she looked down at her feet adjusting her backpack on her shoulder. "Are you so sure about that, I mean, cafeterias seem to be the center of all fights here." Attempting to make a light joke, her and Mads first day here someone that she now knew as Chase's brother Ryder had chucked another kid into a table. "I am looking forward to it however..." She looked back up at him, and into his eyes. "even if there is drama."

Carter
tumblr_n8kw9vNaEH1tcj68yo3_250.gif

When Carter came to school Monday morning she hadn't been prepared for what she saw written on Alaska's locker, this was the girl who had a rough night herself, and who hadn't slept with Mason a this point. She turned around in the very crowded hallway, "Everyone, listen up." She pointed over at the locker that had 'Slut' written across it. "I don't know who the FUCK, thought that they would get away with this, but almost all of you have fucked Mason at some point. And if you feel like outing Alaska on it, you're in for it." She stormed off to go find Alaska, because no one deserved to be treated like this. Making a mental note to clean off the locker later. Making her way to the girls bathroom. She found Alaska hiding in the nearest one. Throwing her messenger bag on the ground and turning around and closing the door.

You could see how furious Carter was, and they weren't alone in the bathroom, she banged on the stall door. "You out" She hurried the random girl out of the bathroom refusing to let her wash her hands. She locked the door when it was just her and Alaska in there.

Sawyer
Okay so maybe last night hadn't had the best outcomes for everyone but Sawyer had definitely had a good night. After everything with Grace sue was practically walking on air by the time she got home. She was very, very drunk and her father was more than a little mad, but she couldn't have cared any less. At that point she felt like she was in a fucking movie and she never wanted it to end. But it did the second her head hit her pillow and she passed out in full clothing. When the morning rolled around she was rolled over on her stomach with one arm pinned under her stomach and the other splayed across the bed. Her hair was sticking to her face in multiple places. She was also going to be late if she didn't hurry the fuck up.

Hungover, and dressed like she was ready to go back to bed, Sawyer pulled up to the school and shuffled as slowly as possible to the doors. Her eyes were halfway closed and her hair was a mess pulled into a ponytail. She looked like she'd just been thrown through the ringer and then through a car wash. A hand was on her forehead trying to ease the throbbing pulsing through it. A flash of red caught her eye as she was passing by a locker and gave her pause. When she was able to make out what it said and her sluggish brain put two and two together all she saw was red. That was very much Alaska's locker and that was very much the word 'slut' written in red marker. Sawyer was now fully awake and had steam coming from her ears.

"I swear to fucking god somebody is going to die!" Sawyer turned on her heel and marched, fuming like a steam train, until she caught sight of Ryder talking to Ash and her direction changed once again.

"You saw what some punk with a death wish wrote on Alaska's locker, right? This ain't gonna fucking fly I'm gonna rip someone's head off."

Ryder

giphy.gif

Ryder couldn't help but frown at Ash's question, clearly she hadn't seen the locker yet. While he knew the girls weren't close, Ash had been the one to take his sister in when she hadn't wanted to go home, and she always seemed to know what to do. Even though he'd grown up attached at the hip with his twin he never knew how to comfort her, his family wasn't exactly the loving, comforting type.

"Well, some asshole wrote slut across her locker so I'm betting probably not good." He sighed, leaning against the locker beside hers. "I'm pretty sure beating up Mason would make her feel worse, and I don't know what else to do. Do you think I should apologize to her?" Chase had suggested it yesterday, but apologizing was always his answer to everything. What he'd said to his sister had been a little harsh, even if it may have been true. He knew she was still upset over what happened with Kanen, it was shocking she'd ever sleep with Mason, which meant there was definitely something not right with her.

Sawyer came barreling through the hall so fast that he almost flinched, though he'd never admit the shorter girl scared him just a little bit. Alaska may have been fighty, but she had nothing on her teammate.

"Yes, I saw. I'm gonna crack some skulls today." Ryder replied, clenching his jaw as he realized how hard it was going to be to figure out who the vandal was. There were so many people who could've done it, Mason had slept with half the school and any girl could've just been jealous, then there were they guys Alaska had turned down or punched. Yeah, it was a long list.

Chase

giphy.gif

Chase was relieved that his insane siblings hadn't scared Rae away yet, he'd never brought a girl home for that exact reason. It seemed no matter how hard he tried the twins found a way to drag him into their drama. Maybe they wouldn't scare this one away if they hadn't already.

"You've got a point there. I'll make sure it's the best lunch of your life, even if tables are broken." He joked, giving her a bright smile as he watched her close her locker.

"Want me to carry these?" Chase offered, taking the heavy textbooks from her hands and piling them on top of his. Okay, so maybe it was a little heavier than he expected, but he wasn't going to back down in front of a pretty girl, and it was the gentlemanly thing to do.

Alaska

giphy.gif

Alaska flinched when Carter stormed into the bathroom, throwing her bag to the floor with a thud and screaming at some girl to get out. If Carter was here to yell at her just like everyone else she thought she might die. There was only so much anger directed at her that she could take, it felt like all of Westbrook thought she was the worst person to ever walk these halls. Here she was, thinking she was just beginning to make friends. Now Drake and Carter were mad at her, and she was sure Raven would be upset too. Even her own brother had yelled at her.

"If your here to yell at me, just do it." She sighed, not bothering to hide the tear on her face. Everyone knew she was a wreck, there was no point in hiding it.

Scarlet
sssccar.gif

The night ended without much warning. In the blink of an eye, half the beer pong participants had practically dissipated into thin air. Finishing her beer, she didn't miss the commotion going on inside, but was definitely too distracted by the boy walking up to her. Scarlet set down her empty bottle and opened her mouth to speak when a stranger walked up to Madison. Scar glanced to the girl, unsure of how to approach the sudden interruption. Each new person she came in contact with was just as stunning as the next, so she was conflicted with being confused and attracted at the same time. It reminded her of her mother's pageants when she was little, with beautiful women running around in dresses and hair curlers. Maybe that's why she had so many crushes on girls. Blinking a few times, Scar was informed that this was Madison's sister. For some reason, she was relieved in more ways than one.

As quickly as he handed her the phone, she put in her number and handed it back to him. The two siblings were in a rush, and she wasn't about to hold them up. With but a small wave and slight smile, she said goodbye. With a sigh, she slid out the side gate and went home to the empty house next door. Weird. Usually she's home by now. But she was buzzed and she didn't care anymore.

~Monday~

First day back in real high school and already, Scarlet wanted to stay home. The only reason she managed to get up that morning was the fact that she couldn't go to sleep from the nervous jitters in her stomach: she would get to see Madison. At least he was new around, too.

Scarlet had woken far too early and had too much time to spare, so she opted for walking to school that morning. After many pieces of paper and being rushed through her numerous classes and classroom numbers, the girl was still lost as she stood before her locker. The one a few feet away had the word SLUT written over it. Well, that's fucked up. Scarlet frowned to herself before pulling out her phone and sending a text to Madison summarizing that she had no idea what she was doing and would love some help - or just some company.

June

Her mind still spun from this weekend. All she remembered was the moment she got home, she wanted to pick a fight with her father. Yelling and yelling before the next day where June just felt the hangover full force. She honestly thought she was going die by amount of puking she did. She was slightly thankful for Grace. She helped hold her hair back and that was kind of her.

She remembered laying in bed. Watching her window and not even moving. She seemed stuck in the bed and that damn camera. Whenever she looked at it she remembered the moment he asked her to homecoming. Then, she remembered their kiss. Then, she remembered pouring her heart out about Ruby to him. Then, she remembered his soft hug. She seemed to cry for days it would seem. Her body seemed to pull tears out from everywhere. It just felt so cold.

Monday came around and June felt as horrible as she looked probably. She kept her head low as she walked, feeling lighter with her camera. She might just abandon photography all together while she was at it. “Slut.” She heard someone say. She raised her head and saw a group onlooking a locker. She had heard a commotion before, but now she knew what.

This had to be Alaska’s locker. She took one look at it before walking off and into the storage closet Mason had showed her. She hated being there, but she wanted to clean that disgusting word off. Alaska was a person at the end of the day. She wasn’t the girl who slept with Mason. She wasn’t going to hate her. Besides, she doesn’t know the whole story. Regardless, no one should be called a slut for any reason.

She grabbed the supplies and paused as she looked at the group. She needed to do this quickly so they would stop making fun of it. She looked around and her eyes landed on a certain Stu. He seemed nice enough to help her, even though she left rudely the last time they talked. She walked over and tapped his shoulder. “Hey. Do you think you can help me clean Alaska’s locker? Like right now?” She didn’t even wait for him to respond before she grabbed his arm and dragged him over to the locker. “Block the words with your body as best as you can. I’ll start on this side, you start there.” She instructed him before putting the bucket between them. Then, she went to work on cleaning it up.

She sighed, it was tough to see this poor girl so broken over a stupid mistake. So many people had made the mistake of sleeping with Mason, she wasn't sure why now it was a problem for someone. "I'm not here to yell at you." She started making her way over to her, "You don't deserve this what so ever. Sleeping with Mason doesn't make you a slut." She saw the tear stream down her face and went into a stall emerging with a ball of toilet paper.

"If anyone is a slut here at this school, its me and Mason, let be honest." She smirked trying to lighten the mood but quickly realized that it wasn't the time. She closed the space that was between them, reaching down and picking her up by the wrists, she drew the girl into a hug. She noticed the fresh cuts on her wrist, but chose to not draw any attention to it. She'd bring it up later, maybe when she was in a better space.

She drew back for a moment, holding her close still. "You do not deserve this." She repeated. Using her thumb to wipe away a stray tear. "I'm going to find whoever did this, and they are going to wish they were never born." She hooked her arm through Alaska's taking her over to the sink. "Let's get you cleaned up, and show everyone they can't tear you down. And if they try, they'll have to deal with me."

Mads felt his phone buzz in his pocket, pulling it out he smirked seeing it was Scarlet. He didn't really get the first day nerves but he was happy she was texting him for guidance. 'Where are you? I'll come rescue from the first day awkwardness' He chuckled to himself. He couldn't wait to see her again, he could feel butterflies in his stomach. Maybe he wasn't always as confident as he thought.

She tried to hide her giant smile when he took her books, "So gentlemanly, you sure you can handle it there" She attempted to flirt while still being her sassy self. She was attempting to take Kerry's advice and be more open. She could be pretty witty when she allowed herself to say what she thought.

"I'm going to hold you to that lunch promise." She hadn't looked away from Chase, she was starting to feel really comfortable around him. He was so sweet, she took a step away from the locker, actually wanting to make her way to a class for once, rather than hiding in the library.

In that moment she noticed a red head cleaning off a locker, "Um.. Chase. Who's locker is that?" She felt horrible, who would write such a thing, she couldn't believe someone would write something like that in such a public place. "This. This is why I hate Highschool." Not knowing it was his sister's locker.

The night of the party was just.. not worth it to relive or think about, she called Nancy to pick her up and she went home, ignoring how upset Nancy was that Raven was basically plastered drunk. She was done with everyone, there was too much drama and everything that seemed to follow them all, it was like every single thing just managed get on her nerves. What, Because of a girl? Fuck it, fuck her. Raven didn’t need anyone. She made a promise to herself to not care anymore. If June ever wanted to talk she could, doesn’t mean Raven will reply.

Monday morning, came by far too quickly. It was clear she was hungover, and obviously it wasn’t because of the party the other day. Realizing what Mason said a few weeks back made sense, seemed to be like being nice got you nowhere. Pushing past a jock who’d told her to watch where she was going and she replied with giving him a finger. She glanced over at Alaska’s locker and rolled her eyes, slut shaming, really? If someone was gonna do that at all it should be Mason’s locker, and Raven wasn’t exactly against the idea of doing it herself. Narrowly avoiding a girl as she basically ran out of the bathroom.

Pushing to open the door to the bathroom and sighing heavily when it was locked, knocking harshly on the door. “Alright c’mon.” Raven said trying to get them to open the door. Rubbing the headache that was trying to get through to her while she waited.“If you’re the one who made the girl leave, you can attempt but we both know you can’t scare me off carrot-top.” Raven walked to the sink and pulled out her bag, taking off her sunglasses and began to redo the makeup that smeared from last night, partying on school night? It wasn’t new to her. Wasn’t especially hard to do living in her neighborhood either. Applying eyeliner with careful precision. “Alright, Alaska, listen. Mason’s a first-class asshole. It was stupid you slept with him.” She shrugged. Not bothering to turn around, “We all do things we regret. Who gives a shit?“

“Man up and get over it.” Raven wasn’t saying it this was just.. her way of making Alaska feel better. Major mistake to sleep with Mason, but that didn’t mean she didn’t have to suffer for it. “So what if someone wrote on your locker? Do you know how many times people called me a slut?” Shrugging uncaringly. Raven sighed, putting the eyeliner down and turning to look at her. “Nobody hates you. Who can hate that face, huh?” Despite everything, Raven couldn’t be bitchy to someone who didn’t deserve it. Even though she desperately couldn’t believe she slept with Mason.. what was Raven really gonna do about it?

Grace

Grace dropped off Sawyer and went home with June, after everything that happened she felt way worse than just sorry for June, holding her hair back that night when she threw up. She was hurting and it was easy to see. Other than that part of the night. Homecoming was bad for most people, and maybe it sounds selfish, but for Grace it was great. Thinking about Sawyer that night she fell asleep with a smile on her face, and get this. Her mother actually asked how it was the next morning, were they actually making up now? Who knows. A start’s a start right?

The following week went by quickly, most nights were spent with Sawyer on the phone. Kate and David weren’t too happy with the fact that June came home drunk the other night. So Grace didn’t think it was a good idea to go meet Sawyer anywhere, however that didn’t mean they couldn’t talk and exchange ‘i love you’s’ to each-other, walking into school feeling optimistic about the day ahead, she frowned when she saw Alaska’s locker. Poor girl, wasn’t cool of people to do-so to her, just because her and Mason were a thing.. she shook her head in disbelief at the actions of people while putting her books in her locker.

Neck Tie

DnEQw7v.gif

You know those mornings when you just had to drag yourself just to get out of bed and can’t keep your eyes from drooping every so and so seconds? Well this was one of those mornings. He’d stayed up so late last night playing Minecraft that Dad had to chase him to bed, because he was screaming something about digging into lava with a stack of diamonds at hand. His neck was still aching from that unceremonious fall this morning when his alarm clock rang. He just wanted to go back to his pillow.

So he was plodding down the hallway looking like a starved zombie when a voice stopped him in his tracks. He froze like a deer in the headlights when he saw who it was. June. He thought she might have still been mad at her for some unknown crime he'd committed. So when Neck Tie was presented with a chance to make right his wrongs, he quickly nodded and smiled, ‘Okay.’

The boy dropped everything he was carrying, and picked up a brush from the bucket. That was when he saw the word on the locker that June had been trying to hide. Even if he didn’t know Alaska, it was terrible that someone would write such a thing on her locker. The bullies of Westbrook were the worst, and Neck Tie had had his fair share of run-ins with them. He grunted as he got to work on the letter T. And you could tell how all this was affecting him at a personal level, the way he was scrubbing so hard to get the word out, even though nothing was really coming off. Whoever wrote it must have deliberately used a permanent marker.

He glanced at June as they were busy cleaning both ends of the locker. 'Are you mad at me? I kinda thought you might be. I'm sorry. . . if I said something. . .' He suddenly didn't know what he was saying, it felt so awkward. He turned back and faced the word 'Slut' and got back to work.

June pressed the rag down hard and found they were somewhat making progress. They should ban permanent markers if it was this hard to scrub off. She decided to also use a brush along with a rag. She glanced over at Stu as he talked, she bit her lip when he apologized to her. “No, don’t apologize to me.” She said dropping her hands for a moment to rest them. “I wasn’t entirely there when we talked. But either way, I’m sorry I left.” She said looking over at him. “The whole Mason thing threw me through the wringer, but that shouldn’t excuse myself for being a terrible person to you or anyone.” She raised her hands again as she found most of the ‘S’ disappearing. “God, someone needs to ban permenant markets from existing. Thank you for helping me with this too. How’s your side looking?”

The weekend passed pretty uneventfully for the Ollila twins after they got a ride home from Phoenix, going inside sneakily. Their parents hadn't expected them home before they went to bed, and the pair didn't want to wake them, especially since it was pretty obvious that Aaron had been drinking, and neither was sure how their parents would react.

Their mom and dad were unpredictable like that.

The next day had been a raging headache for the both of them, though for different reasons. Aaron wouldn't stop complaining about having to return home so early, and Mom had a lot to say to Casper, as per usual.

By Sunday, Casper couldn't wait to return to school, and neither could Aaron, though he'd never admit it.

~`*`~

Aaron Ollila

Aaron didn't sleep well. It was a fact he had come to accept, though that didn't make him any less sour over it, though he was sour over practically everything about his life. Or maybe he was just a sour person. It was one of those two.

That wasn't the point.

The point was he was already snappy when he remembered he had school today. He sighed, getting dressed before heading downstairs, eating some cereal without a word to his mother before going back upstairs, grabbing his backpack, then heading back downstairs again to put on his shoes.

Casper finally came downstairs, and Aaron waited impatiently for him to pack breakfast before leaving with his mother.

The car ride was quiet, despite Susan's aborted attempts at some kind of conversation. A few short responses from Aaron were enough to shut her down, and Aaron got out of the car as soon as he could, heading inside.

Now, Aaron was not caught up on the drama, and hadn't memorized anyone's lockers, so he didn't really think anything particularly special of the slut written on a locker. Sure, whoever did it shouldn't have, but surely there was worse shit to have happen to you, right?

He just went to his own locker, opening it and preparing for first period.

Casper Ollila

Casper's bed was a pile of stuffed animals of varying shapes and sizes, which may have been childish but was also key to Casper's ability to sleep. He just didn't feel safe when he wasn't encased in the things, arms wrapped tightly around Ander.

Of course, this made getting out of bed a hassle, especially if he didnt want to knock anything off his nightstand. He had to get up, though, because if he wasn't out of bed by the time his mom came in, he'd probably get an earful for it.

With a couple of rolls and shimmies, Casper got out of the bed with (most of) the stuffed animals still on his bed. He smiled, feeling pretty accomplished for once, and got dressed before packing his bag. His mom finally came into his room, reminding him to go take his medication, and so he did before heading downstairs and packing up some breakfast, withering a bit under his brother's gaze before putting on his shoes and leaving with his mom. He looked out the window the entire ride, allowing the sparse talk to wash over him as he drifted away, daydreaming.

Eventually, they arrived at school, and he didn't even notice until he was jolted out of his thoughts by his mother snapping at him, with a hurried apology as loud as he could manage, he got out of the car, heading inside... and immediately asking what he should do.

And then he saw a crowd. Obviously, he should see what was going on. He saw two people cleaning a locker off, and, curious, watched.

Chase

OpulentPowerlessBunting-small.gif

"Of course I can!" He reassured, though in all honesty he wasn't sure he could. At least he was getting his workout in for the day, and he was making himself look good for Rae. Girls liked strong, thoughtful guys, right?

"I'll show you the wonders of the Westbrook cafeteria." There was always something interesting happening at lunch, even if it wasn't a fist fight there was always arguments and couples getting yelled at for making out. It was the only part of the school day when Chase could stop worrying about keeping his grades up and just relax. The Vaughn's were very serious about their children's academics, he was already worried about the B in Geometry.

"That's...that's my sisters locker..." Chase stopped walking and stared at the locker, for once understanding why Ryder had felt the need to punch someone for Alaska. At that moment Chase was more than ready to fight. While he didn't always like the decisions she made, she was still his baby sister and he was going to protect her from as much as pain as he could.

It was nice to see June and a small freshmen who looked vaguely familiar cleaning off the locker, at least some people didn't suck. "Do you know who did this? Or where Alaska is?" He asked, looking around for the small brunette.

Alaska

SRDk1JD.gif

The tears finally stopped crying as Carter took her into a tight hug, relieved that she didn't feel the need to yell at her too. Maybe not everyone hated her. While she disagreed with Carter, she wasn't going to say anything about it. She was most definitely acting like a slut rebounding on Mason after Kanen, especially since he had taken June to homecoming. God, she hadn't even thought about June. She'd ruined their relationship for sure, all because she was sad and selfish and needed to use Mason to feel something.

"You're a good friend, Carter." Alaska smiled weakly, letting the red-head lead her to the sink to clean the tears off of her face and reapply some of the makeup she'd brought with her in her bag. She almost started tearing up again as Raven called through the door, but she was tired of being weak so she bit her lip until she could compose herself.

She abandoned her makeup to go unlock the bathroom door and let the brunette it, assessing her reaction before she stepped back to let her in. "Thanks...I think?" She said, not sure whether to take Raven's pep talk as an insult or a compliment. Raven's word's were more than true, and she knew she couldn't let this keep getting to her. usually, Alaska wouldn't have cared so much, but Ryder had never spoken to her like that or looked at her with so much anger in his eyes. To top it off Drake wasn't speaking to her either, and Alaska had realized maybe she wasn't as tough as she thought she was without her friends.

Neck Tie

DnEQw7v.gif

Neck Tie didn’t know what ‘Mason thing’ she meant. What happened between her and Mason? It couldn’t have been good, whatever happened.

But he wasn’t getting nosy. The most important thing was that June wasn’t mad at him anymore. ‘It’s OK,’ he answered brightly. ‘Oh. . . You know how I dropped my phone when we were talking? Yeah, I actually broke the screen.’ He wasn’t going to linger on the topic of Mason if she didn’t want to talk about it.

‘It’s not really. . . coming. . . off. . .’ He was doing his best and the T had kind of faded a bit. ‘Oh! Once I was taking a nap on the sofa. . . and my brother, um, Josh, he drew on my face with a marker. Whiskers and all. . . And it was a permanent marker, and I was a stupid cat for a whole day!’ he told her.

Neck Tie quickly spun around when a taller dark-haired boy asked for Alaska. His smile dropped. He stayed quiet though, half hiding the letters behind him from the other kids who were looking their way, half waiting for June to answer the boy’s question.

June nodded then stopped nodding as she realized what he said. “You broke your phone?” Did he even know about the Mason ordeal then? Wait, that’s not even important. “I’m sorry that your phone broke.” She said, she hoped he had money to repair it. She would die if she ever broke her phone, probably would help save her from drama however.

She went back to scrubbing when Stu told the story about his brother putting whiskers on him. She couldn’t help, but crack a small smile at the story. It felt weird to smile even a bit. But, it was appreciated. She paused when she saw two people step behind them. She frowned a bit when she realized it was Chase and another girl she hadn’t really seen before. She was quick to answer him. “No. I think someone did it over the weekend or something. It’s hard to get off. I... don’t know where Alaska is. But, if you see her, make sure she’s alright.” She told him. She didn’t doubt that he wouldn’t. But, maybe it was for herself. She didn’t know. All she knew was this was going to take more people to get off. “Hey!” She said adressing the people watching. “Instead of watching, why don’t you help?” She waited for people to step forward, however no one did. She rolled her eyes and pointed to a random guy. “Hey you, come help us.” She threw him a rag then went back to scrubbing.

"Apologizing wouldn't hurt," Ash said slowly, thinking over her words carefully. "I mean right now it's going to feel like the whole school is against her, the last thing she needs is you against her, too. But just apologizing isn't going to make everything better until the rumors die down." At least, that's how she'd felt. And people had kept teasing her, trying to get under her skin, until finally she had stopped caring and ignored the hurtful words. Or had Ryder punch the dudes.

And then Sawyer came up in a flurry of violence, mentioning what Ryder had. Right. There was the whole slut thing written on her locker, which was just a super low blow for whoever had done it. "I don't usually like to condone, uh, violence but for this... please hurt them." She said, wincing as she said it. Ash hated the whole slut shaming thing.

"But don't punch people unless you're sure. It'll just make things worse for Alaska." Ash warned, glaring first at Sawyer and then up at Ryder. "I swear to god if you get suspended again, Ryder."

Scarlet
scertyscar.gif

More people were around the graffiti'ed locker, and she was beginning to feel uncomfortable with her space being somewhat intruded on. It was only when she was intoxicated did Scarlet like people in her bubble - that and if she liked them. Getting out of the way of the other early morning, zombified students, Scarlet made her own way down the hall and tried to recognize any of the classroom numbers. None looked all that familiar to her, and she was beginning to get a little flustered until her phone gave a buzz. Her mood shifted, and she smiled to herself. She looked down at her phone, reading Mads' message to her and pushed through a large door that she definitely thought would lead to another hallway. Scarlet hadn't been looking up to read the large GYMNASIUM sign that stood right behind her.

She exhaled a soft laugh and moved her thumbs to type when she hit a rather solid barrier. Thankfully, the girl hadn't been walking so fast, or else there would have been a good chance that she would be hurting a little. Instead, she was startled and dropped her phone, backing up just enough to see what she had run into. Or who she had run into.

Scarlet blinked a few times, now mortified as her jaw and cheeks turned pink and became hot to the touch. Oh, nice one, Scar. Try paying attention to the real world. Dummy. "Madison." His name fell from her mouth like a feather. She smiled awkwardly, embarrassed dimples forming in her cheeks. "I'm so sorry."

Looking around, she rose her eyebrows in surprise. "This wasn't where I was trying to go," She admitted, looking back up at Mads. But I'm glad I'm here. How does someone get even more attractive after just a weekend? "Are you okay?"

For a while, he just watched the pair scrub, spacing off a bit until another guy approached the two cleaning.

Oh, Casper thought to himself, This is Alaska's locker. He wondered what had happened, as he hadn't seen enough of the locker to piece the word on the locker together yet. Something inside him wanted to help, but even when the girl asked for helpers, all he did was nervously begin to chew his fingers.

It appeared he didn't have to worry after all, however, as he ended up being called out on his own anyways. His eyes widened as the rag was tossed to him, failing to catch it as he got his fingers out of his mouth, scraping them against his teeth. He reached down, picking it up before setting his bag next to the locker and beginning to help the pair scrub, quietly settling to the right, scrubbing with his left hand as hard as he could, though that wasn't particularly hard at all.

He felt something bump into him from behind, or rather someone, seemed like he tended to meet girls accidentally in the gymnasium. "Oh hey!" A slight blush crept on to his face, he wasn't expecting to see her so soon after texting her. "I'm glad this is where you ended up though, like you were meant to get lost" Why did you say that. You're so stupid. Mads rarely felt so unconfident, but he was trying really hard to not make a fool out of himself for once in his life.

"Uh sorry.. That was weird." He forced out a slight laugh. "Where were you trying to find?" Not that he really knew his way around the school his self, but getting lost with Scarlet didn't seem like the worst thing in the world. He rocked back on his heals sticking his hands in his pockets. "So how was the rest of your weekend"

Neck Tie

The more the crowd gathered around them, the more eager Neck Tie was to get the stupid T off the locker so that, at the very least, the word would no longer read ‘Slut’. They were in a bit of a race against the clock though. From the other side, June had nearly gotten the S completely off. Luckily, she had also enlisted the help of a new person, a kid of an unimposing height whose eyes looked even droopier than his own. And that was saying something. Neck Tie was very sleepy today.

Now both were tending to the same letter on the locker. Neck Tie passed the new kid a small wave with the brush as they settled into the same rhythm of scrubbing the metal. Then Neck Tie paused for a breather, wiping the sweat off his brows and forehead, and then covered a yawn. He realised the new kid was really quiet; he hadn’t really said a thing since he joined them. ‘Hey, I’m Neck Tie, by the way,’ he said, ‘What’s your name?’

Raven didn’t acknowledge the questioning way she’d said thank you, she just returned to fixing her makeup. “You’re welcome.” Wiping an edge that was smudged, seemingly content with how she looked. Looking between two of the girls. “Right, so now that..this.” Waving a hand for emphasis. “Is over.“ good on Alaska she decided not to shed anymore tears over something so meaningless.

“I should be going.” Raven looked at herself in the mirror for a last time. “Wendy, little bird.” Tiiting her head towards each of the girls, and turning to leave. “No crying.” Pointed a finger towards Alaska as she backed up out of the bathroom. Raven begrudgingly continued walking her way to where-ever she was needed next.

Making her way down the hall when she passed by art room, catching sight of a cowboy she had yet to make up to. Raven hesitated for a moment before walking in, knocking softly on the wooden door. “...Hey.” She greeted and pointed to his hat. “I see you’ve gotten your hat back.. so maybe you got my message too?” She said hopefully.

She groaned as the letters were still not coming off. “Okay, let me look this up.” She said. At least Stu was nice to this kid. June found herself not caring at this point, only wanting to get the words off. For Alaska’s sake and her own. She flipped through sites until she saw something. “Oh here we go.” She held up a finger for the both of them. Telling them to wait before rushing off. She looked inside a classroom and snatched the dry-erase marker before rushing to go back. She turned the marker around in her hand reading the label. “Does it really have a solvent—“ she stumbled as she ran into someone, dropping the marker onto the floor before turning to see who she ran into.

Then she thought she was going to puke again. She ran right into Mason. She moved back quickly, all the words seeming to die in her throat as she looked at him. She didn’t know what to say. How could 23 letters possibly express what she felt at that moment? But somehow, still disoriented. She managed to say, “I’m sorry.” Maybe it was how she felt or just the natural reaction when she ran into someone.

She followed Chase over to what she now knew as his sister's locker. Hiding behind him ever so slightly, this whole growing confidence thing was going to be a slow growth. She felt awful that she had drawn attention to it, at least someone was trying to take care of it. She had hoped Alaska hadn't seen it.

At least she knew who June was, even if they didn't really have a chance to talk when they went dress shopping. But she wasn't really sure who the small blonde boy was attempting to hid the locker with his body.

She felt like she was forgetting something with Chase carrying her books, wrapping her arms around her back trying to give her something to focus on. She kept quite, she didn't understand why anyone would want to do this to another person, but teenagers were cruel. She liked how protective Chase was of his sister, at least Alaska had someone in her corner
