Fantasy Werewolf Knights Interest Check

Dracowolf

A Slightly Disgruntled Raptor
I've been toying with a few different ideas recently and this was the one I could get the most put together, so I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in something like this. Warning: This'll get long.

The idea on this one though is a group of werewolves have acted as the knights for a Medieval fantasy kingdom for generations. The werewolves were the most magical creatures the Kingdom has seen as it seems magic hasn't really touched it, and in fact is considered something of myth. Many people seem to support them, others are worried that the wolves may turn on them. An honorable pack, their ranks differ from others, Captains act as leader with an overall Commander acting as the alpha. For generations the pack hasn't needed to hunt for their own food but some do take it up as a past time.

The conflict would begin with a sudden string of murders, and everyone claims a werewolf caused them. They are given a chance to prove their innocence even though it seems much of the Kingdom they swore to protect believes them guilty. They find tracks revealing another werewolf, even though they haven't ever encountered another pack before or even outside werewolves. This leads the pack to an ancient forest where it's said all magic comes from. Here they would discover a pack that wants to overthrow other races, as well as other werewolves who just want to be in peace, along with potentially down the line powers.

The pack that caused the problems would have powers or mutations of some sort caused by living within the source of magic which would make them a massive threat to trained knights.

Werewolves would also come in two forms:
Lycans - The humanoid werewolves, they keep their thumbs and can walk upright, standing taller than their human form usually by a foot or two. They tend to be more agile than their counter parts and rely on speed and their use of tools.
Loups - A most beastly type of werewolf, they turn into massive wolves with great strength. It's said nothing stops a charging loup except another loup and its shown as they can charge through walls. Their thick fur provides and excellent defense but are known for being a lot more wild than lycans when they shift, especially a shift forced by the moon.

Some Loups may allow Lycans to ride on their back into a massive battle, otherwise mount wise a few lycans might train heavy horses to carry them past shielded enemies.

Both types would be forced to shift during a full moon, and have a weakness to silver, it causes a burning, itching sensation and stops them from healing. Often exposed silver will cause them to be repulsed, to the point that some can struggle to cross a line of it on the ground, an ancient primal self preservation instinct gone wrong. Both types would have some regeneration, allowing them to heal faster than a human can, but may struggle to shift depending how bad the injury is.
