Izuma Arkane
12DD4AFF-36D7-4DA2-AAB6-E3ABAD1A8429.jpeg

Location: Desert Field

Izuma observed the gleaming axe, it’s crystals shined as they were hit by the sun’s harsh rays. “So this is your full weapon form? Interesting."
He gripped Akron’s axe form firmly. The axe itself had a bit of weight to it, but it wasn’t too heavy to the point where it would slow him down. Despite this, a great axe would be an odd weapon for an assassin-type meister. But he’ll try to learn to adapt to this unusual circumstance. Before he could go into the fray, he heard Akron’s voice inside his head. He quickly turned around when he heard it and was slightly confused until he remembered something his father said. His father stated that the Meister and the Weapon could communicate through their soul wavelength. He was quite surprised, as this was his first time wielding a Demon Weapon. “Guess the old man can be helpful…” He mumbled to himself. He swung the Axe to get a feel for it. As he swung, he felt his soul and Akron’s soul connect. But something felt rather weird about Akron’s soul but couldn’t put his finger on it. He shrugged it off but still felt weird, as if something was slowly but surely creeping on him. It gave him somewhat similar chill down his spine when he first met Akron.

After a few more swings, Izuma decided that he was ready. But before that, he and Akron needed to decide whether or not they should stay back and defend the flag or go forth to the frontlines where the fighting is going to be. They didn’t really give him a role in all of this. He couldn’t think for too long otherwise he would miss all the action.
“Hey Akron, what should we-“ Before he could continue, it seemed like team alpha has already made their move. His team being bombarded with arrows that was aimed at the vehicles and Gwen. “They’re trying to hinder our movement. Those vehicles are the only way to quickly cover ground.” Fortunately, Ferra deflected some of the incoming arrows, so that was covered. He decided that it was time to try and retaliate. He ran into the fray, dodging and deflecting any arrows that came his way. He made sure that none didn’t hit the vehicles. Despite his best efforts, some of them went pass him and even grazed him. “Welp, that will give me a few new scars.” Hopefully Ferra can cover the ones he missed. He turned to his teammates. “I’ll see what’s up ahead!” He ran further into the field, not with the intention of fighting the enemy, but to provide reconnaissance to his allies. But if fighting was needed, he would not hesitate. As he went further and further into the field, it felt…cold. Something wasn’t right. He soon found himself in a thick, cold fog. He looked down at his feet and saw the sand slowly turn into ice. At this point, he would probably turn around and tell the others, but his curiosity made him proceed further. He tried his best not to slip and fall on the ice. After struggling for awhile, he got an idea to traverse the ice without falling on his ass. He poked the ice with the bottom end of the Axe’s handle. He nodded and used the axe as a walking stick. That way he won’t slip as much. He looked ahead and spotted a figure within the mist. “Hello? Anyone there?” Hopefully he was calling out to an actual person and that the heat, or rather cold wasn’t getting to him.

From the beginning of their gathering with the announcement of the activity for the day, all the way to being wrapped loosely about J’s frame out in the blazing desert, Rue had been quiet indeed. There was a stirring within her soul that she was struggling to quell but it would hold no weight with her partner. Rather, their connection wasn’t suffering from it. Rue remained as flexible as always. So while J listened to the strategic meeting, what could hardly be considered as receiving any of the information, the weapon herself remained out of sight and took in what she could. She was grateful, despite the literal shaking of impatience she could feel from her partner, that he had remained for as long as he did. J was hardly a team player. Definitely a more gung-ho, jump straight into the action, punch first and don’t ask questions later kind of guy. While Rue’s approach was vastly different, somehow their partnership wasn’t entirely affected by it. Instead they complimented one another. She hardly had any amount of reign on the boy’s actions but he did take her feelings into consideration on more than one occasion since they’d been paired. That in itself made her believe in J, made her want to protect him, and made her want to fight for him.

As he began his speech that led to his expected departure, Rue’s face finally appeared along the fabric. Again she was being used as a makeshift slingshot for her meister. It wasn’t that she minded or found it an inappropriate use of her weapon form. It was the opposite in fact. He was creative and it amazed her. They were once again sailing through the air, a feeling that left her feeling utterly free. It was over much too quickly though, to her clear dismay as her smile faded. There wasn’t much opposition to J’s fighting style as the only deliberate slowness of his steps were so that he could offer an ample warning and extend his intentions to the other group. There was honor to be found in that. He was never sneaky or playing dirty. The meister had always been a ‘what you see is what you get’ type person in combat, even if that wasn’t the case off the playing field. That was a whole different ball game. For now though, those eyes swirling with many colors peered out through the mist, feeling out for any subtle changes or movement.

Surprisingly someone did indeed enter the obscured zone but their arrival wasn’t much of a secret. The friendly but slightly unsure voice rang out like an echoing whisper around them. The mist seemed to contort it, adding an edge of eeriness to it. Most of the other team had ignored J’s words and seemingly ran off but this boy must’ve had the biggest cajones of the bunch since he was entering with just his weapon. No others had followed. Though the weapon in the boy's hands was pretty gnarly but epic looking. She'd never seen Akron's weapon form but it was definitely a pleasant sight. Much like his armor, it held a medieval feel, though dark and twisted. That brought a few questions to mind though... Maybe J didn’t pose as big of a threat to them? Maybe everything he said since they’d landed was not being taken seriously due to J’s appearance or the way he presented himself? Rue silently pondered if this would irk him. Probably not. He might just see it as him becoming the wolf stalking his prey, chasing after them and hunting them down until he’d proven that they should’ve heeded his warning. Nobody would escape the show that J was hellbent to put on for them. Maybe the boy entering the fog would be a formidable opponent that would keep them busy enough so the other team didn’t feel the need to send anyone else.

It would seem your presence isn’t as big in their eyes. What a shame… I thought your approach was pretty grandiose and spectacular. Fit for an audience with a princess. “ Rue spoke to him through their connection, feeding that ego of his but also trying to nurture any feelings that might stir once he realized that people were throwing him off as unworthy of their attention. J liked to go big and not go home. There was no telling what kind of havoc or chaos he was about to unleash in this game or on this student that was a part of the other team. For now, they were not comrades, they were enemies, and she knew J would treat him exactly as such. What that meant entirely was beyond her.

With a soft sigh, Rue turned her face vaguely to the side, hiding half of it from immediate view. The scarf around him shifted slightly of her own accord but still moving to the likings of J’s preferences. “ He shouldn’t have made his presence known like that… “ Rue commented to J, wondering why he'd given away such vital information with his loud inquiry to expose his position. That could be his downfall unless he was just as confident and in your face as J and simply didn't care. “ I suppose you should go greet him. “ She added on with a soft smile.

There really wasn’t much else to day about their plan and that “jay” fellow striding fourth as a helpful distraction form everyone else, turning to Nik with a grin. “i Bet I can grab at least two of ze other teams flags before we capture main one“ the intention being a bit of extra friendly competition spinning around on the spot fluffy ears emerged form the boys white hair a bush of tails sprouting form the base of his spine as he stopped facing Kat. “Time for ze cat and ze fox to make there own entrance yes? Just try to keep up for now” Nicho said with a grin upon his face and with a flash of light nicho was replaced by that floofy lil fox of pure white contracted against the yellowish sand, suddenly bounding off in the direction of the other team.

he‘d notice one Of the fellows he’d previously pestered as a familiar gnarled axe wander into the icey cloud. Izuma was either very confident or very silly because either way that encounter wouldn’t be going well, as his little feet pattered on the sands, it did bring him some comfort knowing that particular axe, an a certain miester where not on opposite team to himself, Nicho had for some time humoured the idea they where both some supernatural entity, they’d probobly manage to capture the flag without anyone realising it.

though that wasn’t his biggest focus, infact the ones that peaked his interest in knocking out where the short girl and her massive hammer sure they knew his tricks well enough but he’d not shown all his cards. he kept running kicking up a dust storm with his main tails as he approached brushing them against the surface as he sped along covering himself in it almost sand grain sticking to his floof, making him blend in well with the sands as opposed to sticking out like a sore thumb in the dunes and easily causing further distress for the other team, nicho himself slipping away to the side so they’d focus on the dust cloud and not himself as he tried to circle around hoping kat would be close behind. then again the dust cloud Might have gotten her lost.

Not long after Katerina's introduction, J quite literally launched himself and his partner at the other team effectively ending their strategizing session and starting the game properly. Nik and Cain were the next ones to head toward the rival team, the meister of the pair using the natural rock formations of the desert to hide his approach somewhat. That was surprisingly clever for the overeager bloodsucker. Marcus and the twins began raining arrows of fire down on Omega Team, likely to cause some chaos but also to provide cover fire for those on Alpha Team that were taking the offensive. Speaking of which, it seemed her partner was ready to begin their part in the plan. She grinned at his pun on her name and then took off after Nicho once he was in his fox form.

Running through the sand, while likely difficult for most, wasn't too terribly difficult for the nimble weapon. Kat silently thanked an early dance teacher for training her to keep her balance even on slippery hardwood. As she ran she noticed Nicho was running in a circle and kicking up a sandstorm, further adding to the chaos that the other team had to deal with. She smirked at the thought and carefully remained just at the edge of the cloud of sand. As such she noticed when he moved to one side. She the fox approached and asked, "You ready to steal some flags, partner?" She obviously wasn't expecting a verbal response and would simply follow his lead.

Class Reunion
1652838758653.pngIt's been months since the madness outbreak had took a toll on Hitomi and her comrades within E.A.T. Just like them, she needed time to recover and cope after everything that went down. She had to strengthen her will to stay and keep going in order to fight the good fight. During those three months, Hitomi has been taking time to perform specific meditations to realign her spirit and her mind. The two were conflicting each other on whether she shall return home or fight alongside her friends. Everything slowly started to become clear a couple of weeks before the first day of the new school year. Hitomi decided to stay and fight within E.A.T., however she will be doing so Solo. She didn't want a new partner nor did she need one. She spoke to the professors and Lord Death about this decision. They informed her on the hardships she may endure along the way; however, Hitomi knew and they knew that it's nothing compared to what she's already experienced so far. So to test her on this endeavor, they have assigned Hitomi on a two star mission that she must complete on her own with little to no injuries. She thought this to be an excellent challenge, since a one star mission would've been too easy for her. And so that same day, Hitomi Sakamoto left for her mission for her to return the next day, completing the mission with flying colors. Her status was immediately changed to a solo weapon, and just as quick she returned she left for yet another mission a day before the start of the new school year.

Now as the four squads of EAT Class are going head to head in a game of capture the flag, a dune buggy was approaching from the West side of the field, where Ikora was currently standing. The driver of said buggy, was no other than Hitomi Sakamoto returned from her second solo mission. She was still wearing her battle clothes she picked out for the mission along with some protective goggles for the sand. From her current position she noticed the field setup as well as the other students. Currently at this time, everyone was just starting the planning phase. "What's going on here?" She asked herself as she continued her course. Deciding to take a closer look, she decided to pull up next to Ikora and see just what was going on. After turning off the buggy, she stood up and leaned against the protective roll cage. "Hey professor, what's going here?" She asked looking over at Ikora. "Ah, Sakamoto, glad to see you've returned from your mission. As the looks of it, everything went smoothly again." "Indeed it did. Is this some sort of exercise?" "Yes, can't you tell. These, are you classmates within E.A.T., well some of them that is. The first four squads of E.A.T. are doing a training exercise of capture the flag. And right now, it looks as if they're planning things out instead of jumping straight into it." “Oh wooow.” She said with a big grin on her face as she removed her sandy goggles to get a better look. She started smiling even more at the sight of her old classmates back in the action. She was glad to see that a good number of them remained; however, there was also a good number of them that didn’t return this year. Rin, Kade, Gabriel, and Elgin. This realization brought a small moment of sadness into her heart. She took a moment to for them wishing them the best wherever they are. “Professor…this looks like things could get rather interesting. Do you mind if I join in on the fun? I promise I’ll play nice.” She said with a big grin looking over at Ikora.

The Death Scythe rolled her eyes at Hitomi’s request before allowing her to join in on the exercise. “Before you go allow me to give you the run down first. You’ll be on Team Omega, the team to our right.” As Ikora spoke she informed Hitomi of the game rules and the entire team roster for Team Omega. Ikora gave her a small briefing of each weapon and meister on that team giving her a small idea of what to expect from her teammates. During this briefing the game had actually begun. “Wow wow wow.” She said excitedly watching as J(ay) launch himself across the field and created a territory of ice and fog. And following that was Marcus launching flaming arrows across the field towards the other team. This is the very first time, Hitomi has seen any of them in action since that D-Day. She knew of Marcus’ reanimation, but seeing him and his new partners first hand was very, very interesting. Her eyes then focus on approaching members of Team Alpha also making their advance, all while Team Omega were left scrambling from those arrows. One Akron and his partner made the choice to advance handing straight for the J(ay) within the fog. “Who’s leading Team Omega?” “No idea, but maybe you should get over there and help them out. May I suggest you head after Nikolai Bang and his partner Cain Evans. He's the one using the rock formations to move up, holding the golden scythe. Word of advice from one solo weapon to another, Mr. Bang is no ordinary being. Do with that information as you wish. Now go join the fight before I change my mind.” Evans? No ordinary being? This could be fun. Hitomi thought to herself as the idea of fighting a special being wielding a scythe belonging to the Evans lineage. She simply hopes they'll live up to her new found expectations.

Without saying anything else, Hitomi returned to her buggy, grabbing her kama, kunias, and smoke bomb pellets. She was now ready for battle and with no hesitation, the ninja assassin made her move. "A new player has joined the game and sides with Team Omega!!!" Ikora's voice boomed from all around the field informing everyone of her arrival to the game, just not her exact location. She advance straight towards Cain coming from the west (left) side of the field. Everything about her was precise, from her breathing to the steps she took. As soon as Nikolai was in clear sight, a switch clicked inside of her head seconds before she dashed straight towards him moving at a blur. Her intentions for this first encounter was to test this non ordinary being and just what he's capable of. Once in range she'll strike with her Kama expecting him to either dodge or block her attack. Ikora warned her of him, so he should be able to do either one of those fairly easily. But if she was wrong and he happened to not realize just what's about to happen, Hitomi would stop right before making contact with her weapon.

Even as they moved forward toward the grandstanding display that J had decided to engage in obviously to lure someone in or be brushed off as a distraction and they easily slip by for the win. As per usual the beast and his soul gnashed and gnawed expecting blood as it always did.. tho the intention of the exercise was to avoid that… oh and Izuma more or less jumped right At J’s challenge, perhaps it was his previous experience being stuck as an almost autonomous weapon for a significant portion of his tenure here but Akron‘s first thoughts flowed to izuma inexperience conspired to J they’d be little more than a distraction or perhaps simply bypass for something more challenging. then there was Rue.. she’d be unpredictable with how she could be used and it already gave him enough anxiety thinking about it. “Be careful of the Scarf.. In these condition we could be very easily disarmed it was perhaps too hasty to simply rush in like this“ Akron suggested quietly trying to work out where their opponent was they'd left themselves exposed and blinded this wouldn’t end well or perhaps they Might get lucky.

Ferra did her absolute best to deflect as many incoming arrows as physically possible. As large a weapon Torr was, it was inevitable that many met their mark or otherwise were unable to be deflected. As almost an absolute defense against the airborne projectiles, a spun Torr was a few still made it through to singe and scratch poor Ferra. "Oww. Hey! Stop shooting at us!" She cried out, finding it quite rude even if this was a mock war scenario! Rude if only due to the fact it was kinda hard to keep up with! Ferra's skills lay in melee combat, and even then they were mediocre at best. They'd not actually fought anyone or anything in the past, sparring could only get you so far, so when push comes to shove it was likely they'd lose against some of the more experienced students even if able to stand their ground for a while.

Nonetheless, becoming an impromptu Anti-Air defense system actually worked decently well! Sort of. At the very least, minimal damage was sustained to those she was blocking arrows from and some of the vehicles which seemed to cover it for the most part with Izuma aiding in their deflection as well. It certainly could have been much worse! The downside to the spinning was it was kicking up a hell of a lot of dust in the general area making it a bit hard to see and breathe for that matter. It would work as a bit of a double edge blade at the minimum and screw up vision for them at worst. Still, better than catching on fire! She heard a loud thunk nearby behind her as if something hit metal followed by Lacey crying out in surprise. "Hey! You okay back there?" She called out worried she'd gotten hit and that was the cause for alarm and not just the poor girl being rather clumsy.

As the arrow barrage died down so did Ferra's spinning leaving the girl panting a little afterward. "Whew. That sure was annoying." The girl whined with a small pout on her lips. As of yet, it seemed J hadn't made another move, which was a good thing, especially with the dust getting in the way. J was much more experienced and likely remembered the relative location of his enemies which would allow the man a decently easy means of launching a surprise attack; something none of them needed right now after the arrow scare. "Hey I don't think running off is a good idea right now!" Ferra cried out, yet Izuma had already dashed off.

While it was true they needed to launch a counter-attack of their own they needed some form of strategy and should probably stay to defend a bit in her opinion...but oh well. At-least everyone wasn't rushing off, right? RIGHT? Hopefully. To make matters worse a much bigger dust storm seemed to be headed right their way from a source unknown. "Aww...come on..." The blonde whined. "This is annoying..." Torr muttered. He was never much a fan of sand, especially incredibly dry desert sand like this for precisely this reason. Hearing a new student had joined them, and on their side no less, made Ferra pretty excited. She definitely wanted to meet them! Or at least even see them. The sand in the way was causing problems on that front, even though Hitomi wasn't even near them she'd not know that.

For now Ferra remained on the defense standing guard at their flag with her mighty Demon Weapon Torr in hand ready to try her best!

Nik | Death City | DWMA

Nik, watch out. On your right.

I know.

"Someone's coming"

The soul while suppressed, could not hide the beating heart that resided in the chest. Just as he had been thinking of moving further up and using the rock formations to round the corner to attack from the blind spot of the Omega team's side, the presence of a new adversary caused Nik to instead stay put.

"She's approaching quickly with an attack, prepare yourself."

How far?

Twelve feet and closing rapidly. Six feet. Four...

He turned as soon as the heartbeat sounded close and with that turn on his back foot he brought Cain's golden blade in the path of Satomi's Kama. The clang of metal on metal caused sparks but the moment the strike was blocked, Nik didn't waste a single second, using his leading foot and handy handwork, he shoved forward with Cain's scythe form to push this new opponent slightly off balance or knock her back even a inch, then immediately used the either success or failure of that push to bring Cain's blade in then swing out in an upwards angle with the outer blade of the scythe.

In an instant, Grace was forced to press the back of her hand against her eyes, sucking in a quick breath as she ducked out of instinct. Sand blew past her, catching in her short hair and against the fur of her jacket, only calming when the violent outburst of wind had finally settled. Pushing herself back to her full, albeit diminutive height and locking in on the now-flaming jeep, she let out a low sigh. They'd taken too much time planning, and now the other team had one-up on them.

"...Great," she muttered; they hadn't even decided on a proper course of action, with multiple plans proposed and no one in any proper attacking or defending positions. The other team already had the ability to end things decisively and quickly if they weren't careful, and while she wasn't entirely sure who was who, the prickle of other wavelengths broaching the top of the nearby dunes made it clear that Team Omega was due to be surrounded rather quickly.

"Yang, with me. Gimmie a sec." Clicking her teeth, she immediately began to run toward the Omega flag; despite the chaos, the musician had long chosen her point of focus. She reached for her pockets, pulling free a strange-looking set of gloves, small, metallic, fingernail-like claws sewn to the edges of each finger; to the uninitiated they might have seemed like strange, flimsy, ineffective attempts at some sort of fist weapon, but to the practiced eye they were no doubt the girl's attempt at cleverness in a school where brandishing a proper pick would cost her an entire hand in a fight. Her gloves secured, she reached out toward her partner, a silent prompt for the other girl to transform as she came to a skidding stop in the sand, turning around quickly as she assessed the situation.

Arrows, explosions...things are getting too complex already. The meister took in a deep breath, steadying herself; this was one of those situations where worrying about what everyone else was doing wasn't going to do her any favors. She needed to focus--on the flag, on herself, on her surroundings.

Someone's making a move.

Grace kept her silence and her stillness, waiting for even the slightest hint of danger as her watch over the team's flag intensified. Until things stabilized and they all had their bearings, she'd have to trust her fellows to do their part, whether she felt like she could or not.

Before they knew it, the game as kicked off into full effect. There were literal flaming arrows raining down from the sky. "Take cover!" Yang yelled out as she immediately dove towards the ground and crawled under one of the vehicles. "This is no fun at all. I'm gonna have sand all over me now." She said as she hid until the onslaught was over. Peeking from under the vehicles she noticed that two members from the other team made there approach. Luckily for them, Izumi and some new commercial had already started to run interference. "Okay now we can regroup." She said right before hearing Grace call out to her. "Coming Gracie!!!" She yelled from her hiding spot, crawling free and springing into action. At the call of her mister, Yang was on the way, even if she must get hit by an arrow along the way. As Grace reached her hand out, there was Yang's right there waiting for her grasp. Instantly she transformed providing her partner with her ultimate weapon. "Let's rock and roll Gracie." She said from her soul room. While in weapon form, Yang began scanning the area. The arrows had hit a couple of the vehicles including their tires. It seem liked as the plan stated the two of them were playing defense as well as Ferra and Torr. "Good to see the super strong hammer girl is defending with us. Now Gracie, I think we need to make some kind of move. Their fox friend is also on the move towards us. May I suggest we send Cami and Gwen after them or even Lacey and Kimberly." All this was stated to Grace personally through their connection. Yang didn't want to cause any issues speaking aloud just yet.

Elvena Stein

__skadi_and_skadi_the_corrupting_heart_arknights_drawn_by_shusuzu__sample-7c315217a7f91800b9a9...jpg

Elvena had been calm. She’d been patient. Exceedingly patient. However, as this task they’d been given, this game of capture of the flag, continued to progress, that patience started to wear thin. A handful of them had been assigned to defense but it seemed the opposing team had the same idea, to heighten their defenses. That left little in the means of offense, of those actually trying to surge forward and end the game. At this rate they’d be there all day with the sun beating down on them, stuck in this odd limbo of tug o’ war and that wasn’t the game they had been given to participate in. Elvena’s hands rose to her face, attempting some feeble attempt to rub the tiredness away. The cackling orb in the sky above them wasn't entirely helping with that fatigue either. It was evident in her features. That porcelain skin was almost perfect except for the blue lines, bags some would say, that had begun forming beneath those exhausted crimson eyes.

With a sigh, those hands dropped and she reached out to Takeshi’s arm momentarily. Her fingertips grazed his skin before she’d disappeared, moving so quickly that it would confuse most whom may have been watching her. A blurred movement that ended beside Marcus’s frame. “ Let’s go. “ She said in that same soft yet eerie tone before she was off again. It didn’t take her long to catch up with Katerina. “ Please assist me. “ Elvy spoke towards the weapon, only slowing momentarily so that her words wouldn’t be lost before they reached the girl’s ears. With another burst of speed she flickered out of view and popped up next to Nicho, who was a little more challenging to keep up with due to his inherent speed. “ I’ll need your help too. “ She extended the desire for his aid, offering him a fleeting smile.

It was here that she took the time to really assess where everyone was currently, those eyes scanning the area and settling on the mist J had created. “ Meet me at the flag? “ She inquired, hoping his answer would be rhetorical. After-all, Elvena did her best to believe that she could count on those around her, despite that nagging paranoia that was crawling about within the recesses of her mind. This game was more than just about showing off their individual prowess, or their skills with their partners. It was an exercise of trust and working not solely but as a team. That’s what they were trying to achieve as it would be beneficial on missions for them to be able to have that kind of trust in one another. Elvena found it to be a misguided faith. After everything they’d been through, betrayed by a friendly face… that notion was never going to be that simple again. A wolf in sheep’s skin. Who else could be hiding behind a mask of villainous intentions?

Those faded gray strands of hair disappeared within the fog as she maneuvered her way through it, soul perception helping her avoid running into anyone, or rather getting in someone’s way. The fog at the edges seemed to disperse as she blitzed out of it, sword in hand, only to circle around and appear behind Cami. Before she could clash into the girl, her body was hoisted upwards as she knelt and kicked off of the ground, clearing Cami’s being to whoosh over her head and land directly beside the flag. Whilst her other hand had been free, it now held a personal flag; Cami’s. Elvena didn’t hesitate to drop it, letting it fall soundlessly to the ground so that she could free up her hand.

If anyone cared to look they’d see that there was black blood trailing down her arms, cuts caused by her own blade, inflicted during her brief disappearance in the fog, that were dripping into a slowly forming pool beside Cami’s discarded flag. Deep enough to bleed but nowhere near fatal. Those ruby colored eyes flickered about to peer across from her at Grace whom was the closest in proximity to her and by extension, the flag. Too close for comfort. The meister ducked down immediately, arms and body in motion as if she were sending projectiles flying out by some self propelled momentum. While nothing left her actual hands, a flurry of jagged black blooded spikes and needles came protruding from the pool of blood by her feet, arcing outwards to attack the other meister. The spikes created the means to keep someone at bay and the needles were sent to hopefully embed themselves into anyone within the proximal of her being.

During this array of attacks, Elvena’s hand surged forward in hopes to grab their flag.

( Cami's flag was taken with Jack's permission! )

Plan B
f76dcd946ba828e4c38ca47a1eaaec2a.jpgAs Marcus stood back watching the chaos he caused with his arrows, a grin of enjoyment formed on his face. He was glad to see his efforts actually cause a bit of turmoil for the other team, not matter how small. However, Team Alpha's advances were stopped on both accounts by members from Team Omega. Surprisingly enough a comrade from last year joined the fight aiding in Team Omega's efforts. She'll definitely presume an issue. He hold Nikolai and Cain could back up the things they said. As he continued to play the defense position, things started to become a bit stagnant. No other advances were made by any of the teams, and that cause the girls to get highly impatient. Their souls were literally bouncing around as they got really bored and wanted to do more. They started complaining about standing still and not getting much action like their anaki promised. "Anaki!!! We're boooooored! You promised us action! Where's the action huh?!" They spoke directly to Marcus in unison giving him a hard time for just standing there. Marcus simply ignored them and planned to wait out their frustrated mood as usual. However, it seemed Elvy had other plans. She moved from her position and appeared next to Marcus in one brief moment before taking off. In that moment, she spoke two simply words, indicating a change of plans. Without hesitating, Marcus removed his shirt and boarded one of the atv's and took off in full speed. Sand kicked up as the atv pulled off heading straight towards the enemies flag.

"Anaki are finally going to get some action??" They asked. "Yes girls, its action time." He followed behind Elvena as she made her way across the sandy field. Her speed was incredible, but his eyes were able to follow along. She seemed to managed to inform both Katerina and Nicho along her away. It seems she's planning an all out assault. That means, Takeshi, Lia and Lew are our line of defense. They'll be fine, everyone will have their focus on us. The only ones from Omega team that won't be defending are already in occupied by our forces. He thought to himself tryna make sure all fronts were covered. If Nikolai were to lose to Hitomi then she'll have to decide to take on Takeshi and the others alone or head back to their home flag and help. "Kick some ass." He said to himself looking off towards the fight as he passes them, rooting for Hitomi. Driving through the terrain was a bit bumpy, but he was determined to make there. He was soon coming up on the fog, when he activated his soul perception. He definitely didn't want to accidentally run someone over. Elvy had already made her way through the fog, meaning all he had to watch out for were J and Izuma. He positioned the atv where he could drive right through and not hit anyone. As the sound of the atv approaches, Marcus yelled. "Stay where you are if don't want to get hit!!" He entered the fog and ice domain, releasing the throttle at full speed and letting the atv glide through with no issues. "Weeeee!!" The twins screamed excitedly as they slide through the domain. As he made his way through the domain, he could see all the souls on the other side, and it was clear Elvy was already attacking. Probably already at the flag. Finally exiting the J's domain, he thought it made it through safely; however, he unexpected ran over one of the concussive air mines not covered in ice just yet. Launched unexpectedly into the air, Marcus eyes widen in high alert, as the girls were actually enjoying this moment. "Weeeee!!!" They screamed out aloud yet again for everyone to hear.

Marcus quickly got an understanding of the situation and decided to use this in his favor. He could see all of Team Omega down below and Elvy was making her way to the flag. From above while he still had time, Marcus began firing golden arrows down onto team omega. He had no particular target, but his plan was to keep them away from Elvy as she secured that flag, which was the only area he didn't fire arrows. He didn't want to make the mistake and hit Elvy. "Talk about raining hell-fire!!!" He said excitedly from above with a crazed look on his face. As his descent began, Marcus leaps off the atv, kicking it away from everyone, and lands in a tuck and roll fashion. As for the atv it crashed into the sand away from anyone else. Recovering from his "crash landing", he stands up staring through Team Omega and right towards Elvy and the flag. "Elvy, I'm here!! PASS IT!!" He called out to her hoping she gets it and manage to get it to him.

it seemed the situation was working in their teams favour especially with the snow storm and dust storms they’d all kicked up actually getting across the field wasn’t an issue more so capturing the flag, thinking on it nicho kept Rushing forward his own plan still just to snag a few flags form the defenders, however evly’s rather sudden appearance startled nicho somewhat almost tripping over his on feet fluffy ears wiggling around. “Aah yes zat I can do“ Nicho nodded having an idea of what elvy was planning now, tho half thinking this was an excuse to just be around his floofy self, he’d give a cheesy grin that looked extra goofy with him being in his fox form.

with that elvy was already off in a flash he’d pause for a second to turn to Katerina. “seems plans changed yes? Well little bit“ with that he’d zoom off towards the defensive line of omega heading towards torr and Ferra, first seeing as evly had already caused a huge ruckus alongside presumably Marcus considering the rain of arrows, getting closer to the huge weapon and their smaller partner Nicholai skidded to a stop spinning around all his tails kicking up even more of a dust storm temporarily, multiple bolts of crackling white energy seemingly materialised around Ferra zapping the miester with a stinging sensation if struck skidding past her afterwards the rather large white fox nearby elvy now though Marcus hand a similar idea to have it tossed to him, tho Nicholai did have one more trick up his sleeve incase the flag actually landed in his mouth so to speak.

J(aqueces)J honestly couldn't believe his ears or eyes at this moment. Well, he could given that it just happened, but he really didn't want to. If anything, it felt like he was being insulted! He did this whole dramatic, over the top entrance, announced his very presence, and in front of their very eyes, he let loose a mist as if he was a figure straight out of a horror movie. And yet... And yet, someone actually walked into the icy fog, and asked if anyone was there. Briefly nudging Rue with his wavelength, he hummed internally to her 'Y'know, Princess, I think yer right. I feel like I'm gettin' both insulted and underestimated here. Ain't no way they ain't see me, right? Cuz like, if he ain't then I'm worried for his future, and humanity's as a whole, like a whoooooooole. But I get that's neither here nor there.' Shaking his head to himself, J continued to silently stroll through the fog, easily clearing the distance between him and Izuma, and as he approached he burst forward in a sudden rush of speed, and took a swipe at Izuma's personal flag as he surged past him, not necessarily caring if he managed to snag it or not, and intending to drop it onto the ground immediately if he did. As he slid to a walk, he continued his way towards the end of his gradually widening icy fog.

J did pause mid-step, however, as he felt something rapidly approaching through the mist, and tilted his head tot he side briefly as he watched Elvena surge past him and into the middle of the enemy, getting as so far as to be reaching for their flag. Snickering to himself, J quickened his pace from his leisurely stroll to a brisk walk, only to once again pause as he heard the call of Marcus out and drive a wholeass ATV through his mist, and then proceed to get launched into the air from running over one of the remaining mines that hadn't been frozen over by his domain yet. It was with great amusement that J watched him using his new position in the sky as the starting location of his new firing range. Humming a low tune to himself as he took a moment to appreciate the falling stars that were Marcus' arrows, J continued on his way, spreading the mist further and further as he walked along. With another snicker to himself, J sent one final thought at Rue as he crouched in place and tensed up. 'Well, Rock-a-Rue, if they won't come to us, we'll just have ta go ta them, don'tcha think?' As he finished his thought, J rocketed forward out of his icy fog, the misty vapor still wafting and trailing off him as he sped forward. It was clear in an instant that his goal wasn't the opposing flag, or even someone in particular. No, from the way that he began zigzagging and darting around, J was simultaneously looking for prey and doing his best to make the biggest nuisance of himself possible, all whilst transforming the battlefield around him into his icy hellscape.

Ferra and Torr

Ferra watched as Grace ran up ahead a bit away from them, likely to secure a secondary defensive position. Though she had to admit other than the current brief attacks things were kind of dragging on a decent amount. Sure she was allocated to defense...but even still...most of the action was away from her so there wasn't really much she could do at all. Even still she maintained her position after fending off as many of the flaming arrows as she possibly could. Unfortunately, quite a bit of damage had already been done...oh well. They weren't exactly gonna use any of the vehicles themselves anyways! Torr was kinda too big to drive the smaller vehicles and Ferra wasn't exactly capable of driving well on the sand for him to ride on the back of the dune buggy even if they weren't on defense.

What none of them could have possibly expected was Elvena going on the offensive. Sure, they weren't quite as close to the area the white-haired woman assaulted...but even still...how could anyone possibly keep up with her speed!? It was insane! Ferra wasn't exactly a snail in terms of speed but she did maintain human limits! Unless Torr tossed her...but that wasn't exactly her own speed. Regardless she blinked in surprise at how easily she disarmed Cami of her flag and was within range of their main flag. All hers ripe for the taking if they didn't stop her. She did notice her injuries too...did she cut herself? It was an awful lot of blood...though it didn't quite seem like it was enough to be fatal. It seemed...purposeful...but why? What could she possibly be doing?

Ferra wracked her brain trying to figure it out until suddenly Elvena launched her attack...with the blood that had pooled up!? "Whaaa-! No way that's too freaky!" Ferra squealed as she dove out of the way of the needles hitting the proverbial deck, Torr still in his hammer form landing near her. To make matters worse there was soon MORE fire arrows. The petite blonde gal was quick to stand up so she stood a better chance of dodging the flaming projectiles. "Today just isn't our day." She whined. For the most part, luckily, they seemed to be less targetted and more of an area denial situation.

The ATV that came sailing by off in the distance not too terribly long after the assault of arrows started both confused and amused the girl. "What the heck?" She spoke with a laugh not even sure where it came from. Torr let out a low groan of confusion which was pretty much the best he could do to mimic a shrug as he was now. Now, Ferra had to come up with a plan to help. One that would hopefully be useful! Which was to say....she was about to take a move out of Thor's handbook and chuck Torr full force at Elvy. "Hey! Catch th-" She began to shout as she raised the mighty hammer above her head, only to be summarily interrupted as Nicholai seemed to go right for her in his fox form.

She yelped and whined a bit as a few of the bolts of crackling electricity made contact with her skin. Luckily, or maybe unluckily for the fox in front of her, Torr was already at a perfect striking angle. Relatively unhurt from the attack Nicholai would soon have the massive hammer careening down towards them. "Take this!" She shouted while Torr let out something of a battle-cry himself. Finally, some action they could actually directly participate in!

Kimberly & Lacey

Nevada Desert, Outside of Death City

This was unfair. They had more experienced fighters on their side and they got the drop on us. The only thing we have are numbers but that is not going to save us. We have to try at least or we will definitely fail. There aren’t very many options for us right now. We could use my grenades but that could hurt our allies. Smoke bombs wont work and neither will Landmines and Stickies. There was a momentary pause in her thought process as Kimberly tried to think of an effective yet, mostly harmless option to assist her allies.

Then a idea came to Kimberly’s mind. Tear Gas. She could use it to disrupt the battlefield and cause the commotion to die down a bit for there side to regroup. The downside would be that everyone would get affected including there own side, but it is the best option they got right now.

Hey Lacey I have an idea I want you to shoot...” Kimberly started to address Lacey before the madness happened.

Lacey, for her part, was understandably feeling overwhelmed. After the first volley of flaming arrows, the blonde had thought the worst Team Alpha had to offer was over with, which would allow her to try to take the offensive right? Wrong. Not a moment after she pulled herself up and off of the backside of their disabled vehicle, a white haired woman appeared, flinging black objects in a wide arc. Once more, Lacey was forced to take cover. A grunt escaped from her mouth as Lacey flung herself into the burning sands. What the Hell is going on!? When did she get here!? Green eyes flitted upwards, distractedly attempting to take in their surroundings while Lacey tried to spit out the scorching bits of grit that had flew into her mouth following her dive. She wanted to make an effort to take stock of the quickly escalating situation before her but, unfortunately fate was not yet done making her suffer today. The telltale whistling sounds clued Lacey into the next threat moments before it struck down. Her eyes widened as Lacey hastily pushed against the hot, uneven ground, stumbling forward to try to avoid the second volley of arrows. This, of course led Lacey back into the hot, gritty sand, coating herself in even more dust and spraying a tiny bit more of the annoying earthy substance into her mouth.

“Pftah! Pftah! Agh!” The Galant Lady voiced her displeasure as she once more tried to void her mouth of the gross, burning bits of dusty earth while her hands pushed her up from the ground again. Lacey let her eyes roam about the area, this time noticing that in addition to the white haired female, there was also a young man a short distance away now too. Then Ferra, the small girl who was her teammate let out a surprised sound, drawing Lacey’s attention and revealing yet another problem in the form of a small silvery-gray fox. It was at this particular point in time that Lacey could hear her partner’s voice through their shared connection, though thanks to the blonde girl’s rushing adrenaline and pounding heartbeat, her reaction was very… immediate. The very second Kimberly suggested that Lacey should shoot, the Galant lady squeezed down on the grenade launcher’s trigger and held onto it as the weapon recoiled once, twice, six times as she waved the fire arm around frantically, causing the grenades to fly about in every which direction. As she did this, Lacey let out a loud, panicked cry, SUPPRESSING FI-RRRREEEE!!!

The moment Kimberly felt Lacey pull down the trigger Kimberly transmuted the grenades into Tear Gas canisters. In six different direction’s white, hissing smoke came out of the canisters. Kimberly knew this was gonna irritate everyone. Since Tear Gas causes irritation to eyes, mouth, lungs, throat and skin, it did not differentiate from ally or foe. Kimberly felt really bad for everyone, well everyone on her team. The white smoke was spreading everywhere and soon everyone would be affected by it.

I am so sorry everyone. If I can make it up to any of you I will. I promise but we have to try and win this. Kimberly mentally apologized to everyone hoping it would make up for how people would be feeling.

Once Lacey was done shooting, Kimberly thought to give Lacey a little heads up. Hey Partner. You might want get behind something and cover up your mouth unless you want to be affected to. Also I am switching back to hammer form since I am out of shots.”

“Huh?” Lacey questioned as she felt the weapon in her hands shift into her hammer form as she had stated. “Why would I-?” The blonde haired girl’s question cut off as her eyes began to burn and tear up, while the rest of her body erupted into pain. Lacey fell to her knees, dropping Kimberly in favor of covering her eyes while her body was assaulted by what felt like a thousand needles stabbing into her very flesh. Liquid dribbled out from her eyes as the blonde whimpered out in pain, since she was completely unaccustomed to any sort of airborne irritant. Additionally, the pain she currently felt prevented Lacey from realizing that the white smoke currently surrounding her was part of a soul wavelength, so she did not have the presence of mind to attempt to make use of her Adjust ability.

Lia & Lew

Nevada Desert, Outside of Death City

This activity has been relatively quiet for us. The blonde male let his eye look about the battlefield before him, yet he could not see clear across the desert. Without the aid of Soul Perception, all Llewellyn could see was the mist coating the center portion of the class's training field. Then again, that was assuming that the blazing sun's heat and the desert sands were not playing tricks on his mind.
Not one individual from Team Omega has moved to challenge us for the flag yet. Llewellyn relaxed his stance, fairly confident that no one would be approaching the three pairs defending the Team Alpha flag within the next thirty seconds. The young man then wiped his left hand across his face to rid himself of the perspiration threatening to trickle down into his eye and vacant socket. It appears as though this will be a battle of attrition... The moment that particular thought crossed Llewellyn's mind, he noticed a change in the group around him. Marcus, with his two transformed Weapon partners, began to run for one of their group's allotted vehicles.

Naturally, Llewellyn was perplexed by this unannounced change of plan. Why would Marcus be moving alone towards the opposing team? Did he notice someone on their side beyond the mist who required help? Was there a challenger from the other group heading their way that Marcus wanted to personally confront? The solitary blue orb of Llewellyn's glanced further afield, towards the conflict that was undoubtedly occurring in the center of the field to briefly catch a streak of silver before it vanished into the mist. Elvena? His eye flitted over to look at the resting 'Dragon', as The Master called him and noticed that a certain Stein was indeed absent from Takeshi's side. It seems that she has grown impatient. I do not envy the younger students for the lesson they are about to receive. Honestly, Llewellyn did pity the new entries into the E.A.T. but it ultimately was best for them to face strong opposition here, in a controlled environment rather than out on a mission. At least in an Academy sanctioned activity they would not risk a chance encounter with the eternal slumber that was death. I suppose I should prepare to hear the completion of this activity soon. The young man thought idly as he believed that not one single individual on the opposing team would be able to withstand a combined assault of Elvena Stein and Marcus Rung.

Wait, do we have a plan? Was there a set plan in motion? Who are the closest people to us? Are they friend? Are they foe? Is now the time to grab Llewellyn? Why is Marcus moving?! Lia's mind was racing a mile a minute as she felt a surge of uncertainty encase her being. Too many things were happening all at once and she wasn't sure that she was prepared for a free for all regardless of if they were on the same team. Lia was used to fighting one individual at a time, so it was very obvious that she wasn't as prepared for this as she believed herself to be. Lia's brows furrowed as she turned to glance at her partner for a moment.

At least I have Llewellyn on my side. If all else fails, then I can use him to shield bash the enemy should they somehow get past Marcus....I hope. At the last sentence, she felt herself pause. Her thoughts seemed to quell and file themselves accordingly as she remembered what team she was on. And then she remembered who she was. Wait a minute. Why am I suddenly so dependent on classmates I've just met? That's not how I do things. That isn't how I solve my fights either. I don't have to worry too much about everyone else, nor should I. My team mates are strong enough to handle all of the other players on the board. They don't need me to hold their hand nor do I need theirs to hold mine. All I have to do is help Llewellyn protect the flag. Lia stopped to turn to spare another glance at Llewellyn, trying to come up with a plan now that Marcus had jumped into the heat of the battle. A frown graced her face as she swiftly turned to see if the flag was still there, a sigh of relief she didn't know she was holding left her lips as she saw that the black flag hadn't, in fact, moved from it's original spot. It was just drooping a little too close to the ground, with a nice fur lining...

......and that's not the flag.

Where is the flag? Did the enemy team somehow snatch the flag when they all weren't looking? Was there anyone in class that could move that fast?

"Llewellyn." Lia called out to her partner, in hopes of catching his attention. "Did the enemy team happen to get past us? Because the flag is gone. It's not there. Do we rush out and follow Marcus?"

"Gone?" The young man questioned as a confused frown appeared on his face. Llewellyn then turned his attention and his person, towards his newly acquired Meister. He could sense a swiftly rising burst of fear course through him, beginning to flood his veins with adrenaline. This foreign alertness, alarm, had Llewellyn even more puzzled than he was by Lia's most recent words. Why am I in a state of panic? Everything is proceeding in a favorable manner for our team. There is not a single obstacle that has set itself before Team Alpha's inevitable victory from what I have seen so far. The blonde male took a moment to close his eye and steady the heavy beating thumping inside of his chest before Llewellyn answered the girl. "No one has stepped past Takeshi yet. The flag should still be present upon the pole behind us." Llewellyn stated matter of factly as he looked over to the pole where his coat rested upon. His solitary eye caught a glimpse of the pink fabric the flag was colored. "It is. Right there, beneath my coat." He motioned toward the Team Alpha flag pole in an attempt to get Lia to look again, with more care this time. Though, what Llewellyn failed to realize was that his placement of his coat atop of the flag's pole could be seen as an unfair advantage for their side.

Lia's panic ceased and she allowed herself to relax for a moment as she was able to see the pink fabric of the flag peeking out below the black cape. And then she realized that she was faced with another problem. Their flag was pink, but the only ones who knew the color of their flag were, at the moment, herself and Llewellyn. Having grown up in public schools and familiar with the rules of the game, Lia knew that this was cheating. And that usually whichever team was caught cheating was disqualified and the victory was usually gifted to the opposing side that complied with the rules.

"Yeah it is. And that's great, but um... Llewellyn, you do know that's considered cheating, right?"

"Cheating?" Llewellyn felt his frown return. He was unaware of the usual way this 'game' was conducted in other areas, yet the young man was certain that his coat resting upon the flag pole had not been stated as a violation of the rules. "I do not understand how it could be. Anyone can find our team's flag if they remove my coat from the pole. We did not move the activity's objective from its place." The blonde did not seem to grasp the point that his partner was attempting to make here. Llewellyn had never took part in a game of Capture The Flag prior to this morning, so he had no prior experience to draw from. He did not quite comprehend that obscuring the flag from view would potentially discourage some of the opposing participants.

Lia couldn't help the harsh smack that she forced upon her face, her index finger narrowly stabbing into her eye socket as she took in a deep breath to try and explain. "No. No one else knows the flag's color. And now everyone is going to assume that your cape is the flag." Lia's hand slowly dragged down her face until it rested limply at her side and she was able to see Llewellyn clearly. "In the traditional rules, this would be considered cheating. We aren't supposed to cover the flag at all."

While Katerina and her partner continued their charge toward Omega Team's defensive line, Elvena suddenly overtook the two of them with a request for assistance. As the silver blur ran past her, Kat gave a nod at her request. As Nicholai came to a stop for a quick bit of communication, her first reaction was to be stunned at the fact he could speak his fox form. Her second reaction was to simply nod in agreement at her partner's observation. With that Nicho ran towards Ferra and Torr, and started pelting the meister with white bolts of energy.

However, her partner's luck seemed to run out as the massive hammer that was Torr started coming down full force toward him. "Oh no, you don't!" Kat said as she turned her left arm into its partial transformation into her sword form and jumped in between Nicho and the huge hammer headed straight for him. She used her right arm to brace her left and lifted them to block Torr's weapon form. As the hammer made contact, however, her eyes and skin began to sting as she noticed something in the air.

She dropped to her knees and let out half-whimpers half-silent screams of pain as she realized that someone had released a chemical weapon into the air. Her immediate reaction was panic as she remembered the horror stories of people coughing up bits of their lungs and blood when exposed to certain chemical weapons. Her second thought was to wonder who the hell thought it was fair game to release something like that in a modified game of capture the flag. At this point, she was a sitting duck for anyone who would want to steal her flag. The only consolation was that everyone nearby must be in nearly equal agony and therefore unlikely to attempt such a feat.

Weapon vs Duo
1660271547551.pngThe sound of their weapons clashing, brought a delightful grin to Hitomi’s face hidden by her mask. “Excellent.” She said as she was glad Nik managed to stop her attack. This only meant that Hitomi was going to have some fun. Nik’s efforts were successful with pushing Hitomi back; however, she quickly realized what he was doing and as soon as her foot touched the ground, she leapt back once more dodging his attack. At the very most, a strand of her hair was sliced in the process. “You’re quick.” She said as she spun her Kama. “Professor Ikora warned me bout. What makes you so special?” She asked moving in for yet another attack, this time she also used a partial transformation for her free hand.

He didn’t reply. Nik instead followed with a backwards swing using the forefront of Cain’s blade to attack, then depending on her next action would slide Cain down his arm and hope he’d be able to maneuver around to his other hand so he could follow up if a counter was needed.

Nik’s lack of response to Hitomi’s question did not go unnoticed by Cain, who had remained rather focused on the female’s visage as well. However unlike some men, Cain’s eyes were not upon her due to some innate attraction to the opposite gender, but rather he was focused upon her because experience told him that she was a potential threat. There was also the need to make a good first impression with his new meister; but that was the lesser of the two reasons as to why his eyes remained affixed upon her. Every miniscule movement, every little habitual tick that she would display; he’d find it and alongside the prowess of Nik, they’d capitalize upon it.

“Let’s pick up the pace… I’m all for the fun of foreplay, but I’d rather not end up having egg on our faces should we play around too much. If you’re happy to take it up a level, I’m happy to take it up two. Let’s make sure the rest of the class know exactly what we are all about” continued Cain, the tone in his voice spiced with a fiery determination. He had not yet forgotten the spatial rift created between the ‘old school’ students and the new arrivals. This was the first opportunity for the new blood to impose themselves upon the old timers.

Nik’s response was a subtle nod in return.

ELgu6vrVAAA2EeQ
Hitomi kept a mental note of Nik’s silence and continued her charge. Her eyes were sharp and focused on Nik’s movement as a whole. She read his movements like a book, and as soon as his blade went back, she was prepared to either evade, counter, or block his attack. Behind her mask, a grin formed as she began to glow before flipping into the air, dodging his attack as she transformed. As a weapon she spun into the air, before transforming back into her human form. From there, she reached into her pouch and threw three throwing knives towards Nik. Attached to one of the knives was a paper bomb rigged to explode.

Nik’s eye narrowed and just as she transformed, though it was a bit of a surprise, expecting her to react with a throw was easy to evade. With a spin of Cain like a whirling fan’s blades, the tinks of metal making contact with the whirling shaft of Cain’s scythe made them bounce off with ease- it was only after the impact that he caught sight of the paper bomb that Nik grimaced, flared his wavelength- speed doubling from its natural peak human speed to supernatural. A blur of movement, and with an upwards swing he knocked the tagged knife several feet into the air in an arc above their heads. The distance not significant but enough, where with wavelength still coursing through him, he shifted himself quickly away from underneath the blast zone- eyes closed, ears raised, focusing on where his opponent might be.

Hitomi kept a keen eye on Nik’s movements as she descended back towards the ground. She noticed how fast he moved from point A to point B kicking up sand in the process. “That was fast.” She said to herself landing on the ground and quickly running towards him. His movements just now were more than just fast. There’s definitely something special about him, and I will find out what. movements were quick and quiet just like before. Her plan was simple, if Nik allowed her to get close enough, at the very last moment she'd drop down sliding across the sand. In this attempt she slid past him, cutting him across his leg in the process with both her Kama and partially transformed weapon arm.

His eyes narrowed at her charge and with a feinted slash, when she slipped down low and slid by, Nik hadn’t been prepared for the burning stink that appeared on his leg. He hissed, agitated- and his eyes became daggers of irritation at her little move. Why is she focused on me? His question went out to Cain. She’s clearly ignoring everyone else, what is this?

:”Heck if I know!” replied Cain, glancing outward from his soul space as he watched the fight progress, trickles of static electricity beginning to dance across his weaponized body as the charges began to build; an electric charge building the longer this fight progressed. “That being said, the more she is focused upon us; the less she is helping her team achieve their goal. How about we wrap this fight up quickly and show her just how big the gap is between a proper meister and weapon team.”

1660272240492.pngNik and Cain weren't the only ones who noticed the shift in the battlefield. Her eyes glanced past them and towards the direction of her team’s flag. Most of Team Alpha had committed to charging her team entirely. Marcus, Elvy heavy hitters from last year. J joined late in the school year and holds great potential to reach the top. Nicho, a being of mischief and mystery. If her team were to survive their onslaught she’ll need to wrap things up here and eliminate them. Looking back at Nik, she noticed the irritation within his eyes. She found it amusing and a small grin formed behind her mask. Turning her attention towards his weapon, her eyebrows rose in question to what she saw. Electricity flowing from his weapon dancing around its frame. “Interesting.” She said simply. It was clear they’re starting to get serious. “It seems you wish to end this sooner than later.” As she spoke her partially transformed weapon arm began to ooze a venomous green substance. She held it up over her Kama as the substance began dripping on her secondary weapon. “Allow me to grant that wish. Come at me.” She said glaring down at Nik with a cold look in her eyes. This is her chance to show that she can still hold her own against other pairs as a solo weapon.

Izuma Arkane

Location: Desert Field

Izuma gripped Akron as his words flowed through Izuma’s head. He soon realized the situation he put himself into. Perhaps the best course of action was to run away. But considering the circumstances, that was not the case. The look on the guy’s face tells him that he can’t simply run away. He had to fight. He NEEDED to fight. There was no other way, it’s do or die. He took a deep breath and began to take a step further. It was within that second, his opponent instantly closed the distance between them. He tried to defend himself but went off-balance and slipped on the ice beneath his feet. He fell right on his ass, of course. He looked behind him as the boy was dashing to the omega team’s side. “Shit! I’m such an idiot!” He got up and started to run back to his side to help the others. “That was close. That was…interesting.” A shiver went down his spine. If the rest of the Alpha Team were like this, maybe it would be better if he was supported by others.

As he approached his team’s side, he noticed several other people zoomed right passed him and were heading towards his team’s side.
“Shit. This is bad. I need to help them. But, this could be a golden opportunity for us to steal the flag.” Izuma thought for awhile. He could either win it big for his team, or actually work together with his team. He gripped the axe and decided that the best course of action was to help his teammates push back the attack. With newfound determination, he approached his team’s side silently. He needed try his best to not be seen so he can get the jump on them, but it’s kinda hard to be sneaky in the middle of the desert. But first he and Akron needed to devise a strategy. “Hey, Akron. Should we- I mean, should I apologize to the team when we get bac-“ Before the blonde could continue. His eyes started to sting. Soon, his entire body felt like needles were repeatedly stabbing at him. He could barely open his eyes. “Someone must’ve put tear gas up in the air. Must be that Kimberly girl.” He backed away from the gas to try and recover from any gas he inhaled. His eyes were in pain and watering as he was coughing. “That tear gas is something else.” Despite being out of the tear gas area, his lungs were still burning a little bit. “Maybe this isn’t the right time.” He decided to go on the opposing team’s side since going down by normal means seem like a far safer option than suffering through the tear gas. He dashed to the other side, usually slowing down to avoid any landmines planted within the sand.

As he was approaching the team alpha’s side, he noticed a figure in the distance. At first, he rubbed his eyes thinking the tear gas was making him hallucinate. He realized that was actually a person. The person himself had dark, short hair. With piercing yellow eyes. “This must be their first line of defense.” Not wanting to make the same mistake before, he approached the figure with caution. If all else fails, beam for the flag. As he got closer, he felt an overwhelming presence come from the young man. This presence felt eerily similar to Akron’s. He reluctantly assumed a fighting position. Preparing himself for when the young man will make a move.

Grace Amadeus Fugue
The Desert
Interacting with: Yang ( The Elder The Elder ), Elvena ( Kyuubey Kyuubey )

Grace's brow twitched slightly, a twinge from her sixth sense flashing through her mind. In an instant, it erupted into a roar, one of stunning suddenness and intensity. In her momentary paralysis, her choices dazed her; every instinct shouted word of incoming danger directly into her mind--yet her strategic mind repeatedly reminded her that she was in charge of guarding the flag near her. As her eyes narrowed, she was forced into the worst possible position--that of inaction.

The rush of air that rolled past her and went directly to the flag woke her from her stupor--but by then it was too late. The meister spun as quickly as she could, but by the time she did, the flag was already firmly in the hands of another figure--Elvena Stein. And in order to grasp it, another important detail had to be flicked out of the other meister's hand--the personal flag of one of her teammates.

Grace clicked her teeth, momentarily frozen in place by the dual-realization. Things were going badly--about as badly as they possibly could, at that. The strategies they had put together didn't even have the chance to fall apart, seeing as they hadn't even been set in motion. She was supposed to be one of the captains, wasn't she? That placed her squarely at fault. First the surprise attack, then the elimination of one of their own, then the near-immediate taking of their flag. If they lost, it would be her fault. A direct result of her inaction.

She clenched her jaw. She couldn't let that happen. She needed a good grade. She needed a higher star ranking.

Deep breath. Tension wasn't going to get her anywhere. Quickly, the woman refocused, taking in her opponent as she held tightly to the flag. The other students had already chosen their battles, and given Elvena's reputation, most people probably wouldn't want to tangle with her anyway. Grace bit down lightly on the pasta stick in her mouth, then flicked her head, swishing a few strands of hair from in front of her face as she centered herself in the moment. Her weapon was slung over her shoulder, the sounding chamber positioned squarely upon it as she held the neck.

There were a few advantages she could pick out--in order to grab the flag, the other meister had placed Grace squarely between herself and her exit. She could work with that. The other student had a fearsome reputation, even among other members of the EAT class, but Grace had two things going for her--no shortage of ideas, and what was probably the most versatile, difficult, and off-the-wall weapons in the entire school.

"Hey Yang," she said quietly to her weapon as she began to slowly pace toward her target, "keep an eye out for me if you can. If we aren't surprised, I think this might be one of the better possible matchups we could have gotten." With that, she turned her attention to the other meister.

"Yo," she called out mildly across the sand, "you should probably put that down." Her free hand reached into her jacket pocket, producing a set of tinted aviators that she slipped neatly over her eyes. Despite the meister's casual stance and demeanor, her body remained ready to react, and her mind remained on high alert--hopefully far higher than she had been moments before. "This isn't going too well, and I need a good grade on this, so..."

Her eyelids twitched from behind her glasses, and a hand quickly flew to her mouth as she sensed a burning tingle at the back of her throat. The hell...? she thought to herself, quickly glancing over her shoulder only to see a cloud of white gas begin to spread throughout the area. This wasn't something that she was going to be able to guard against, and if anything was going to make defending and capturing someone holding their flag an even greater ordeal than it already was. Quickly, she closed her eyes; with her most important sense already down, things were going to get hairy. Doing her best to stifle her breath, she slung her weapon off of her shoulder, strumming a brisk C-Major cord as she let her weapon help her adjust to her surroundings as she let out a loud cough.

Now what the hell are we gonna do...?

There was a moment of silence as Elvena’s fingertips reached out towards the flag, snatching it up and grasping the surprisingly soft cloth. She knew from the second that she’d dared to go on the offense, to put herself in such a vulnerable position, that she would not be easily leaving with the objective that was held firmly within her hand. That much was cemented into the reality of things as she glanced over at Grace, the girl’s demeanor changing quite drastically. She was mentally and physically preparing herself for a confrontation; for a duel. Elvena was more than happy to oblige, despite being so exhausted. A fact that could very easily put her at a slight disadvantage here.

Then there was a flicker from behind Grace, close enough. Nicholai, quickly followed by his weapon who was more nimble and speedy than she would've given her credit for. Elvena watched the scene from her position, eyes trailing every movement, which widened slightly at the flying hammer, but keeping Grace within her immediate peripherals. Not him. She thought to herself, hues dragging themselves from that side to peer over Grace’s other shoulder. He didn’t need to be so verbal, or announce himself, but his words rang out across the distance between them, forcing her into a prompt series of actions. The help she'd requested hadn't fallen on deaf ears and they'd managed to all cross the field with her. Elvena's lips curled on one side into something small of an eerie smirk, that chin tilting downwards with the arrival of that haunting look. It was an odd feeling to rely on others and see them come through. It had been quite some time since she'd worked in tandem alongside other agents, anyone outside of Takeshi that is. Some time... since the kidnapping. That minuscule smile dropped at the very thought of that past memory, that lingering horror. This wasn't the time nor place for such dark thoughts. A twitch wracked her frame, head tilting to let her obnoxiously long strands of hair pool down her shoulder and sway off to the side so that she could see more clearly.

Now or never.

As you wish. “ She retorted to the other Meister whom was settled into a more fight ready stance, agreeing to drop their flag with a tone that sounded both tired and nonchalant. “ I’ll need both my hands anyways. “ Elvy kicked up a bunch of sand as she bolted towards Grace, keeping her body low to the ground. As she approached her, closing that small span of space between them, two things happened. The first action was one arm being brought up in a wide arc, a giant scythe-like blade made of her solidified blood aimed directly to slash across the girl’s exposed torso. And lastly, the flag that was now drenched in her blood was sent flying like an arrow straight towards Marcus, the liquid now weaponizing to having formed a spear to assist its speed and trajectory towards her ally.

Right before her attack could make contact, Elvena froze, the bladed edge a breath width away from cutting into Grace’s figure. She felt her body get wracked with an unusual sensation, one that caused her to go still and try to assess why that was. Those red crimson orbs rose to meet Grace’s face before she peered up and past it towards the gas that was spreading like a wildfire everywhere. She didn’t do this. There was hardly a breeze anywhere that could assist with making this new nuisance be less of one. It was going to be hindering for longer than it should in this hot and dry atmosphere. Elvena couldn’t feel the pain that would normally accompany the gas but her eyes and insides were still struggling to function properly. With her blood so freely exposed this was having a much stronger effect on her than anticipated.

Her expression slowly turned into one of confusion before it evolved into one tinged with anger. Even with her vision obscured and distorted, Elvena managed to lock back on her opponent and notice through the blurriness that she’d drawn her own eyes to a close in response to the gas. “ Let’s do this blind then. “ Elvena said in a hoarse voice, throat already swelling as she chose to speak and inhale more of the airborne chemical. With this unseen circumstance forcing an unfair fight, Elvena still wanted the playing field to be as fair between them as possible. A very audible tearing of fabric could be heard as one of the flowing but oversized sleeves that made up her attire was torn straight off. A makeshift mask was made, though sloppily, that was secured tightly around her face as to keep her from minimally inhaling the irritant surrounding them. The gray haired Stein’s own eyes slid to a forced close, her pale skin splattered with a vastly spreading reddish tint due to the chemical aspect from the gas caressing it. It wasn't pleasant to push past but this was what adapting in battle meant. She'd endured far worse - a lot of them had and a lot of them would in the future.

With a motion of her hands, a series of thorns shot up from the blood pooled by their feet. It was quickly working to create a barrier around her but in hopes of also catching Grace off-guard, who was down a reliable sense, and trying to nick her skin in the process as it snaked its way upwards around them.

Izuma actions didn’t annoy Akron or even cause disappointment, if anything it was telling of how things would be, the boy was not only sheltered from the world but incredibly inexperienced, and possibly hot-headed, it was better to learn this here than on a mission otherwise he’d likely ended up on miester 5, there was no reaction from Akron when Izuma got tripped up by J it was the expected outcome, and with this usual blunt tone, the weapon responded with a single word to Izuma berating himself. “yes”, Akron said. Little else on the matter only could almost take it as judgmentalness, but really the weapon just didn’t much care to distract the boy further. more of the other team slipping past them, to attack, oh and there was also the tear gas in the air blanketing their own defensive line, it must have been one of the new pairs if he where to hazard a guess the new set of girls, as the short one with the huge weapon didn’t seem to fit, then again looks could always be deceptive. Tho he did catch a glimpse of elvy, as expected however it did mean Takeshi was somewhere else. “Yes incredibly poor timing“ Akron responded to Izuma bluntly, soon they’d spun around moving in the opposite direction at this point going for the enemies Flag would probably be their only chance to not look utterly incompetent as most of their opposing team was attacking as of now. But one of Akron previous questions was quickly answered, Takeshi.. of course, Izuma had to pick a fight with him, it was then Akron spoke up “they won’t need anyone else frankly.. if you recalled what I’d said before you have about 10 or so seconds before knocked out, little more then a distraction, we have a better chance if you were to throw me towards their flag then I could at least attempt to grab it“ Akron suggested tone neutral as always but he was beginning to think Izuma was easily distracted.. they’d need to work on that. Whatever the case this stand-off would be over in moments.

Nicholai Had actually been aware of Ferra attempts to hit him with the rather large weapon he’d already had a trick up his sleeve for it, however, it seemed the fox boy didn’t need to show his hand just yet as his partner jumped between them blocking the strike with her partly transformed arm. “Good save my friend“ Nicho chirped although the cheerfulness was short-lived, there was TEAR GAS.. there wasn't time to think or act on nicho part his smaller form and sensitive lungs and nose, quickly began burning like hell mouth bubbling spit as the poor boy everywhere felt like it was melting and choking at the same time, he couldn’t breathe nose and through clogged up within moments he’d collapse to the side whimpering just barely before completely losing conciseness due to the shock of it all, everything went black.. his own body forcing itself to change back leaving the boy laying on his side in the sand and gas, silvery fox ears drooped, and many fluffy tails sagging in a big pile preventing him from rolling over, for all intense and purposes Nicho was out.

CAPTURE THE FLAG
Eb8oxJSU0AAz-yy.jpgThere he was, across the enemy's line, eyes glued on Elvy and her actions. His verbal request was risky and he expected someone to do something about it, but at this moment the others were focused on other things. His arrows and the arrival of his other teammates. It seemed they actually pulled through for Elvy's request and call for help. The twins were on high alert keeping their eyes out for the enemies assault they may place upon him. With his eyes glued on Elvy, he heard Nami call out to him, informing him of someone firing from a launcher; however at the exact same time, Elvy made her move. Marcus made a decision to stand his ground and hoped he wasn't the target nor did he get affected by the blast. It was a risky call, but it needed to be made. This game could come to an end right here and now. He watched as Elvy made her way towards Grace, attacking and throwing the flag at the same time. As his eyes focused on the flag coming towards him, his vision became blurred. The flagged started to look like a black blob coming his way,and he couldn't tell why. Do to Marcus zombie physiology, tear gas didn't really affect him like it would anyone else. There was no pain for him to feel; however his vision was now affected by it. As the flag, that look like a blob, got closer, Marcus held his hands up preparing to catch it. As soon as it landed in his hands he quickly closed his grip on it securing the flag. "Got it!" He said excitedly to himself. "Now, what the hell is going on?" He asked looking around with his blurred vision. "Girls what do you see?" "Smoke! White smoke! Everywhere!" They said simultaneously. White smoke? It's not a smoke screen, that doesn't blur vision. Is it some kind of chemical agent? Is it tear gas? He asked himself. "Girls what else do you see and hear?" "They're coughing! The fox is unconscious!" Nami explained. "Ah hell, this isn't good." "What's going on aniki?" Maki asked. "It's tear gas girls. Stay in weapon form. We're getting out of here."

Without hesitation, Marcus turned around facing the direction of his team's flag. He searched for Llwellyn's soul and as soon as he was locked onto his soul's signature, Marcus instantly sunk into the sand. Using his burrowing technique, Marcus went from one side of field all the way towards Lew. The last time Marcus checked, Lew, Lia, Takeshi were guarding the flag. Meaning as soon as he got there he should be close by and secure the win. The faster this game is over the faster he can help the others. As Marcus burrowed underground, his movement set off some of the mines above ground causing compressed air fire off. This didn't affect him underground, so he kept moving. Soon enough, he reached his destination popping out of the ground behind Lew and Lia. His eyes were closed shut due to the tear gas still affecting him. "Stay away from me. The enemy fired tear gas and everyone over there is affected." He relayed out to his teammates guarding the flag. Girls, lead me to the flagpole. With the twins giving Marcus directions, he successfully made it to the flag pole holding it up in the air along with enemies flag. "Ikora!!! Games over!! We won!!" He called out to his cousin who was spectating from a far.

AUGUST 29TH, 2022, 3:45 PM

After the closing of the game, victory went to Team Alpha as they captured Team Omega's flag using teamwork and an oppressive offense. Due to the outbreak of tear gas, the medical/chemical team has been dispatched to aid the students with their recovery, cleansing them, and provided them with a change of clothes of DWMA paraphernalia. Those who were knocked unconscious where now awake, and were now gathered with the others within the courtyard as a picnic was set out for them. There was a buffet of finger food and drinks. There's no doubt the students were both hungry and maybe even tired after their exercise. The professors also took this time to introduce four new students who were late due to transportation issues. With the time being 3:45, classes were over and the students were free to do as they please; whether it's to hangout and enjoy the picnic, go home, walk around town, or even train/spar. The decision was there's to make.
