Backstory: He inherited the role of sheriff of HighWater from is pa, who inherited it from his grandpa, who inherited it from his great grandpa and so on. Being a sheriff runs in his veins, and he wouldn’t trade it for anything else.

Backstory: Jim is a quiet man, but still waters run deep. He used to be a shop owner in a small town until the day his wife and daughter were murdered. Now he’s been adrift from one place to the next looking for purpose and revenge.

Backstory: Ellie grew up in a village on the border of the true wilds of the west, her life either idyllic quiet with her large family, or chaotic warfare fending off raiders, thieves, gangs, and warbands of Natives, of which her mother was one. When she grew up and it was time to make something of herself, she decided to do it with her brother Timothy, and the two went out to collect bounties together. Tim, unfortunately, was fatally wounded by an unclaimed target, so Ellie goes about the business alone nowadays.

Backstory: Annie lived in a small farmhouse with her parents and her brother. From there, life changed for her drastically. She lost her family in a riot, making her see things in such a different way. She was lost in the fires from the riots before she could find a place to survive in the violent world. Annie managed to cope with the rough surroundings, from traveling and hunting. She found a place to work, a place she knew she would feel normal at. She hopes to find safety and happiness and find peace of mind she never had before.
