Over half a decade has passed since the last Pirate King roamed the seas. Monkey D. Luffy and his band of merry men were notorious throughout the world for traversing the mysterious Grand Line, conquering the New World and obtaining the truth about the origins of both the World Government and the network of sailors who call themselves, Pirates. Towards the end of his journey, Luffy had obtained the respect of many islands and focused his attention on cleaning up the seas of those who he deemed to be 'bad'. However, although he managed to rid the world of many evil Pirates and Marines alike, the world inevitably keeps turning and history continues to repeat itself in the form of new dreamers setting sail onto the greatest sea in the world. Not long after he ascended to the seat of Pirate King, the greatest crew in the world simply vanished. Without a trace or word, there was nobody left alive who could account for the whereabouts of the Straw-Hats, some hypothesized that in order to live a peaceful life the Straw-Hats had took it upon themselves to flee to Raftel, or one of the Sky-Islands, where they would forever remain undisturbed till the end of their days. On the year of the turtle, Luffy declared that he had left the greatest treasure ever to have existed, One Piece, in its rightful place, waiting there for the next crew who were destined to become the new kings of the sea. Ushering the world into the next era, whispers float through the Grand Line and the Blues, the seat of Pirate-King is once again up for grabs and those who seek power, fame and fortune are once again sailing towards their dreams.
The race for One Piece has once again, begun.
Introduction:
The ship rocked violently, the crew shouted and screamed, and the scent of fire and smoke permeated the lower decks. Below the din, Fiachra read. Peter died on the pages, and Fiachra wondered if he too would die here. Taken before his time, mourned by those he left behind, by his mother and father, his childhood sweetheart Gianna, his squire Lamont—Peter's death indeed was a thing to be lamented.
The sounds of death subsided, and Fiachra was left alone with the dust of his cell and the chains that bound him within it. The motes swirled in the air, and in it he saw images of a young girl. In a marketplace, she pilfered apples and bread; under the cover of a sprawling forest, a large beast chased her, but still she smiled; in a desert necropolis she was held in chains, indignation and rebellion clear in her eyes; on a ship she stared wistfully toward the horizon. Her death, Fiachra thought would be a tragedy.
“Who keeps treasure in a prison?”
A voice, full of irritation, drew him from his visions. The door to his cell rattled.
“And why is it locked?”
“Uh... most prisons have locked doors, Jet.”
The people on the other side banged and beat at the door in frustration. Eventually, Fiachra heard an exasperated sigh, and a louder thudding noise broke the handle of the door. It swung open and Fiachra saw the people responsible for the noise on the deck: a tall man with a half-smoked cigarette and a girl with indignant eyes.
The man put a hand on the back of his head and looked away, knowing the sort of baggage they had just come across. Jet lacked understanding.
“So... do you know where... the treasure is?” she asked Fiachra. She was positive he didn't. He was in chains, he was emaciated and scarred, and he looked like death. The room smelled of moth-eaten tomes, stale air, and a man who hadn't bathed in weeks.
The man put a hand on her shoulder and leaned down, whispering something into her ear.
“Nicolai, are you an idiot? That's a person. People can't be—”
“He's right,” Fiachra said, knowing what Nicolai had just told her. “It is me.” Jet stared at him incredulously.
“Well,” Nicolai said, “let's get him out of here. We'll figure the rest out on a ship that isn't about to sink.”
And so marked the beginning of their adventure.

The Dawn Seeker, a noble caravel of ignoble purpose, is manned by Captain Jet, her first mate, Nicolai, and their allies, Fiachra and Dorian (the goat). Aboard the Seeker, they travel across the seas, having adventures, searching for treasure in both ancient and modern islands, and robbing people blind. These three are pirates (Dorian is a goat). They are quite nice people, yes, but they pillage and murder and cause all sorts of havoc. You, too, are a pirate aboard the ship. How you found your way into the hearts of these three and joined up with them is your story to tell—my story to tell is what happens next.
An action/adventure roleplay with selfishness and material wealth as core motivations is the name of the game. Y'all just coast around through the seas, looking for wealth, attractive members of whichever sex strikes your fancy, and nifty artifacts or whatever. It doesn't really matter what you want, the point is that you can have it—by taking it illegally.
This is an adventure roleplay because you will be exploring various locales, from islands with forests to islands with mountains to islands with cities to islands with deserts to islands with tundras to whatever else. The vast sea is, quite literally, the limit. Sometimes you will go where I will you, and other times there will be choices for where the ship heads—no matter what, there will be various things to do in each place. The crew works together for big heists, but also allows for lots of personal whatever-the-fuckery to do what you so please.
Questions and Answers:
We start out with no money and no bounty?
Yes. You are unknown and broke at the start. This RP is about starting as a penniless pirate and seeing how far you can get in the weird and wonderful world of pirating.
Can we get Devil Fruits?!
Yes, but it'll be scaled down to fit the power-level at the start. I'm gonna be strict when it comes to Logias and Mythical Zoans, then we'll stay away from Special Paramecias. Again, you are supposed to start out as rookies. If you mention to me in the OOC that you would like one at some point, you will get probably one at some point.
What canon Races are available?
Everything except Giants, Giant hybrids, and Lunarians. If you wanna create your own race, we can talk about it and we'll see if it'll work.
Can we be Marines?
No. You are pirates. Pirates are fun. This is a pirate RP about pirates. Why would you want to be not-a-pirate? That's just insane.
Why are you starting a One Piece RP again?
People from where I from do not read One Piece. Crazy, I know. So all my thoughts about it tend to stockpile and my mind is not such a spacious area. This is my way of letting out my creative output regarding One Piece. Its either this or me trying to force what I know on unsuspecting non-otakus.

Stat System:
The stat system is comprised of number values that give a rough estimate of how your character is built. Stats are not absolute, and they don't always mean you're impervious to those with lower stats than you. Someone with a speed stat of 100 is still vulnerable to someone with a speed stat of 75. Statistics are only to be mentioned when an attack isn't easily distinguishable as successful or not, and only then will the higher stat win the battle for that singular instance of action.
- Strength: A measure of your character’s physical force. How much they can lift, carry, how much their blows hurt, etc.
TIER STAT DESCRIPTION 1 0 Someone who can’t even move their arm, likely being incapable of movement. 2 1-5 Capable of supporting one’s body weight, but not much else. Comparable to an infant. 3 6-10 Lifting a couple books from the library feels like exercise for these guys. 4 11-20 The strength level you would expect from an average teenager. Maybe 20 push ups is their limit. 5 21-40 Someone who regularly engages in physical fitness. They can lift slightly above their own body weight. 6 41-75 Someone who can lift all but the heaviest of objects. They could enter a deadlift contest and place fairly well. 7 76-100 Someone's who’s as strong as a normal human can naturally be. They can probably pull a car with enough effort. 8 101-125 Strength at this point begins entering the point of Superhuman. Breaking bones feels like snapping a tree branch. 9 126-150 Strong enough to lift a small elephant, you can smash through stone as if it were styrofoam. 10 151-170 Strong enough to carry an African elephant over your head, you can now rival some of the mightiest animals. Picking up trees like bats and tossing larger animals like medicine balls is definitely within your power. 11 171-189 Steel is no longer as match for you, as you can rip steel doors of their hinges and bend them like cardboard. With the right implements or enough time, you could level a single building on your own. 12 190-200 Carrying a semi-trailer truck-sized object on your back is no harder than carrying a heavy load of laundry. At this point if you clap hard enough, you could create a sound wave like thunder. 13 201-215 At this point, you would certainly be strong enough to stop a speeding train, though you would get pushed for some distance. You can stomp hard enough to open holes in the concrete. 14 216-230 Lifting entire ships above your head is possible with an enormous amount of effort. The surrounding area may begin to shake and rumble from your blows. 15 231-245 The heaviest creatures in the world are no longer a match for you, nor are the heaviest ships, should they need a lift. You could likely level a small city block in a short time if you felt like tearing through it. 16 246-260 With your punches alone you could probably create enough wind pressure to repel heavy rainfall and nearby clouds for a small moment. Only the most powerful of heavy machinery could match your strength. - Agility: A measure of a character’s running speed and reflexes. It determines how easily one can dodge and how fast they can cover a distance. Hyper Agility does not transfer to hyper speed combat. Performing intricate movements at high speeds becomes increasingly difficult the faster you move.
TIER STAT DESCRIPTION 1 0 Incapable of moving at all, this is someone’s who’s completely paralyzed. 2 1-5 Capable of at least walking, their speed is comparable to that of a turtle. 3 6-10 This is not someone who’s particularly fast. Jogging a block takes several minutes and they have trouble avoiding a dodgeball. 4 11-20 Average agility of a teenager. They can run a mile in under 5 minutes and can dodge most large projectiles fairly well. 5 21-40 Someone who regularly exercises and likely does some form of martial arts to know evasive maneuvers In a race, they definitely wouldn’t be near the bottom of the pack. 6 41-75 Someone who could be considered an Olympic level runner. They have World Class reflexes, likely being one of those people who could speed run an obstacle course. 7 76-100 As fast and as evasive as possible for normal humans. This is someone who could sprint 100 meters in around ten seconds. They can with practice probably pull off any parkour trick you can think of. 8 101-125 At this speed, you can keep up with most cars on a freeway. Your reaction speed is slightly higher than a humans would be normally. 9 126-150 Arrows can be dodged, even from extremely close range. You can manage to keep pace with the fastest of land animals. 10 151-170 The human eye has extreme trouble tracking your movements at this level. Without being around the same speed level any ability to avoid is based on prediction or instinct rather than reflex. 11 171-189 Capable of moving at the speed of sound, you can out speed most cars made for the general public. Your reaction time is good enough that bullets from a pistol could be dodged if you notice. 12 190-200 You can outpace the fastest ground speed vehicle ever created at your top speeds. You can also create sonic booms if you decide to go all out. If properly warned, you can dodge fire from a fully automatic rifle. 13 201-215 You can run fast enough to create wind tunnels to form behind you, causing vacuums to suddenly form in your wake. 14 216-230 At this speed you could dodge a shell as it’s being fired from a tank or an explosion if a grenade went off right next to you. Your speed clocks in faster than most high speed machinery. 15 231-245 At this point most conventional weapons are no longer any sort of issue for you. You could avoid the bullets of a machine gun, even if it was fired at you from up close. 16 246-260 At this speed, your body can essentially reach escape velocity, causing gravity to lose its effect on you. Attempting to run at this speed will cause you to float of the ground and run on air molecules, simulating air walking. - Perception: A measure of your character’s perception and accuracy. This determines how much detail they can make out and how good they are at managing to land a blow, whether that be their quirk, a weapon, or even a simple punch.
TIER STAT DESCRIPTION 1 0 Accuracy is impossible for this character. Whether they lack the ability to see or simply can’t keep their arms straight, they couldn’t even hit the broad sight of a barn if it was in their face. 2 1-5 Someone who might as well be legally blind. Only with extreme aids could they even see, much less accurately hit anything. 3 6-10 The eyes sight of someone who needs corrective lenses. They can make out some faces, but with vision correction, their accuracy is still poor. 4 11-20 Pretty average senses for a young person, being able to make out any color in an area and most writing on a wall. 5 21-40 Someone who has perfect 20/20 vision or maybe even a little better. With effort they could pick someone out from a crowd by their face. They can probably see just a little further than average as well. 6 41-75 At this rank, you’re considered a marksman. You could enter most shooting contests and place fairly well, and it would be incredibly hard for you to lose sight of a target. 7 76-100 You have the most developed senses that a human can have. Your accuracy is like that of a military marksman, able to hit a moving target from a about fifty meters out. You can also easily discern several details with just a single sense. 8 101-125 Your perceptive abilities are a cut above normal human. You can notice a slightly wider variety of colors, slightly harder to hear sounds, and pick up on very faint movements. 9 126-150 Objects that are coming towards you may feel as if they’re moving slightly slower than they normally are. Your senses are slightly more akin to an animal, being able to track something by smell alone. 10 151-170 With mechanical like accuracy, they can outpace even the best of machines up to about 150 meters out. They can in some cases, figure out the trajectory of projectiles that move normally. 11 171-189 Your taste has become so acute that you can potentially pick up on individual chemicals within a substance. Your ears have become sensitive enough to pick out a single note among a cacophony of them. 12 190-200 Your sense of touch is so accurate that you can read the words on a newspaper with your fingers and your eyes are sharp enough that they can see clearly even in low light. 13 201-215 Without a quirk that somehow makes you hidden from normal means; it is impossible to sneak up on this character. Their senses are simply too far tuned to not pick up even the quietest of beings. 14 216-230 Should one of your sense fails, there’s an incredibly high chance your other senses will compensate to still allow you to retain your accuracy. Your senses are acute enough that you can still make out a target for about 350 meters out. 15 231-245 Your senses function at a higher “frame rate” than most people. Things that are gone in an instant seem to almost linger for you. Characters that are moving at subsonic speeds can be accurately hit if they don’t notice you in time to change course. 16 246-260 Your senses are so sharply tuned that they can pick up on things even 500 meters out. Within your immediate area it’s unlikely for you to miss all but the most well-hidden of detail. Invisible or otherwise unnoticeable enemies are completely within your ability to detect. - Durability: A measure of how tough and resistant to damage your character is. This determines how much punishment a character can take and how much pain they can willingly ignore.
TIER STAT DESCRIPTION 1 0 Paper skin and glass bones are likely. This is not someone who could take a punch, much less a gust of wind. 2 1-5 Being physically weak, this is someone who can take a punch or two before desperately needing medical attention. 3 6-10 Though not quite capable, they can definitely take a couple hits before going down for the count. 4 11-20 About average for a teenager. They can take a decent beating before they need medical attention. 5 21-40 Someone who’s pretty good at tolerating pain, likely from experience. They’ve probably been in a couple fights during their lifetime. 6 41-75 As durable as one would expect from a trained martial artist. This is someone who can definitely tolerate pain without wincing and can withstand a lot of it. 7 76-100 As durable as a normal human could be, probably able to handle being in a car crash and still get up the next morning if nothing’s broken. Pain will subside as long as it’s nothing too serious, but don’t let your resilience allow you to cause permanent harm to your body. 8 101-125 Physically, your durability is a cut above the average human. At most your body seems to handle damage the same as anyone else, but your body will take less damage from things like average strength punches. 9 126-150 Blunt blows that would be fatal to normal humans could probably withstood with only a marginal degree of pain. 10 151-170 Most blades will now have trouble piercing your skin, almost like they were incredibly dull. 11 171-189 Regular bullets will scratch or cut, but they won’t manage to embed themselves in your flesh. As for the pain, most bullets will simply feel like a small pebble hit you. 12 190-200 Falling several stories will hurt significantly, but you’ll likely suffer from no broken bones. You’ll feel excruciating pain for a moment, but both your threshold for it and how long it lasts are significantly reduced. 13 201-215 Your durability is enough that your skin could withstand a point blank explosion. Pain exists but it’s highly reduced, almost like your body is made of metal. 14 216-230 Your durability is that, that you could manage to withstand a large scale explosion that could take out a city block and survive, though your body may still suffer from the intense heat and fire if there was any. 15 231-245 Extreme Pressures like the depths of the ocean couldn’t crush you. At this point you almost don’t experience pain as a human would, being more of a slight tingle than a sensation of pain. 16 246-260 It’s not quite Invulnerability, but this may be a close second. Your soft tissue feels hard, meaning all but the strongest of attacks could harm you significantly. Pain passes almost instantly unless something manages to significantly wound you. - Will: Unlike the other four stats, Will cannot have points put directly into it. Will is a measure of your character’s capacity to act and their capacity continue on. Average Will is not a stat you can spend points on. Instead, it is a number equal to the average of your other four stats. This means your Will shall naturally increase as your other stats do.
