The Thundering Mustelid

January 7th 2077, 11:19pm.

Maxwell Atori.
Alpha facility, Denver Colorado

Deep within the massive underground complex beneath the huge tower Dr.Atori worked on what seemed to be a nervous system. He injected silver matter on it in a variety of placed until it glowed a dull greyish hue as if it were the moon. He smiled at his progress but a flicker on the computer screen caught his attention. The eyes of horus whirred as they brought a holographic display of the screen in front of him and showed the message from the British special forces. He viewed the short video clip and smiled with glee. "Hector, Send a message out to all available Alpha's i have a Top priority mission for them. I will arrange transport and inform the Colonel to prepare for a briefing." he thought to the alpha who was no doubt listening for his call. Meanwhile the doctor sealed the pod that held the nervous system and watched patiently as it filled with a clear viscous fluid. The tube than turned from horizontal to a vertical position and a mechanical arm grabbed it placing it in formation around the other 5 tubes. One held a Complete Skeleton, another held a circulatory system, the third held a mass of still growing muscle tissue, the fourth seemed to hold skin stretched out between several small robotic arms. The nervous system took its place in the top of the pentagon formation the canisters were in. Once it clicked in place he turned and left the room letting the doors close behind him Their sealed position revealing the large A-26 on the door. Hearing Hectors response echo in his mind he nodded to himself in approval as he made his way to the office prepping the file on the mission for Stryker.

Alpha 23, Hector. Denny's, Downtown denver.

Hector sat absentmindedly stirring his coffee while atching Television when the itch at the nape of his neck let him know someone was trying to contact him. Immediately he willed his power active and felt the feeling akin to a rubberband being stretched out of his mind. Sure enough the Doctor had contacted him with orders. "I'll send word to all within range, the others will be notified via Instant message. Ill set two rendezvous points. One here and one for overseas, the Alpha's abroad can meet over video chat." Pulling a couple of dollars out of his wallet and tossing them on the table Hector rose to his feet and left to his car hoping the silence would let him focus. He closed his eyes and sought out the familiar tug of minds charged with silver matter.

Sure enough he found them Six alpha's within range and not currently on any operations. Establishing contact he allowed the perceived volume of his voice to go almost painfully high just in case he needed to snap any alpha's out of sleep. "All availible alpha's report to Either Denver's Alpha Tower, or Englands New Big ben tower. Whatever is closer expect a breifing at 0900 Tomorrow. Rest up and get ready this mission has been listed as top priority."He severed contact immediately and put his keys in the ignition. If the doctors excitement was anything to go off of this mission woukd be hella dangerous, he never got excited about anything simple.

James Stryker, Israeli Defence post 313, Northern Iraq.

Stryker had just made it back to his command tent when he received a file on his Private channel. Rolling his eyes at his luck he opened the file and noticed the priority stamp on it and sighed. He had grown fond of these men over the past couple of weeks and would be sad to go, but duty called. He immediately began to pack his gear and what he would need for his flight to London. It would be a short flight sure, but the meeting in the Orbit base did make him a bit nervous. He was never a fan of space travel no matter how brief. Yet if thats what the mission called for...at least he wouldnt be going in alone.

A-doe, Israeli Defense post 313, Northern Iraq.

Capture.PNG

A-doe physically flinched at the sound of the unexpected voice, her fists tightened in anger and she cursed under her breath.

"Fuck, you're loud..."

After the transmission was over she grabbed her belongings into a large black duffel bag before slinging it over the back of her shoulder and stepping out of her tent. She took a deep breath, the dry heat from the sun and the sand whipping at her face. This place fucking sucked but it served as her training grounds while she was stationed with Stryker here. She cut her own thoughts off with a sigh and snapped her fingers a couple of times. Her suit, piloted by an A.I. and headless, came out of the tent following a few paces behind as A-doe made her way to the airstrip.

She merged on the same path as Stryker, they didn't need to say a single word to each other. Same destination, same mission - but to break an awkward silence she pulled out a pack of cigs with her free hand and offered one to Stryker as they made their way to London.

Alpha - 10
Name: Mikazuchi Tsukiyama
Location: Military class cargo plane over the Pacific.

Mikazuchi was sitting in a passenger seat, eating a piece of jerky. Not long ago, he was in Japan, fighting a group of mercenaries who attempted to murder that countries current leader. He managed to succeed. No, he succeeded without problems. He was the calm type, never showing any other emotions, as if he was a machine.

He soon heard one of the other alphas, who used telepathy of sorts, speak to himself and the other alphas that were not busy with missions. Mikazuchi nodded after listening. "Denver's Alpha Tower. Understood." He got up from the seat, finishing the jerky, before heading towards the pilot's cockpit. He told the pilot to drop him off at Denver's air port. The pilot nodded and changed course.

Alpha-7
Name: Dmitri Archeyadavich Strelnikov
Location: Captured U.S. compound, Eastern Yemen

Dmitri awoke to a pounding headache and a teenage boy leaning on a wall, audibly sobbing, his head leaning on a window, an old Makarov in his hand. He sat up slowly, his right hand to his forehead as he propped himself up with his left. He started to look over to the boy as an loud demanding voice pushed into his mind.

"Can't I have any fucking me time?"

The boy, scared shitless, did an one-hundred eighty in nearly the blink of an eye to raise the pistol to where Dmitri has just been laying with a 9x18 slug in between his eyes.
The boy's eyes went wide as he slowly looked down, horrified.

Screams ensued as the fleshy puddle that had engulfed his legs tightened around his calf, crushing them and slowly sucking the flesh off of everything it touched.
The struggling stopped after mere seconds as the large mass of fleshy goo melted from his legs and began to form a slightly more buff Dmitri from the head down.

Clearing his throat to make himself known to the shocked boy on the ground,
"Were you a track-star? Your legs were pretty damned swoll." he began to leave, pausing at the wooden door exiting the villa "Enjoy yourself dick-knot".
The PM clattered just into crawling distance of the broken kid.

As he walked out of the villa and past the messy scene he had made he grinned, chuckling at the repeated click of a hammer striking on an empty gun coming from the villa.
The tormented wailing faded as Dmitri left the village, walking to where he left his assigned unit.

He unpinned a LR radio from his right hip, turning it on and changing the frequency to 76.6,
"Infidel-6 I've secured the insurgent's FOB" A responding crackle came carrying an groggy man's voice, "Alpha seven, it is three AM, what the fuck do you want?"
"Just send the closest long range VTOL to the FOB that the Marines lost last night, I need transport"
"God fucking damnit Dmi-"

A-9
Name: Gregory Hammond
Location: Downtown Denver, Colorado

Ring Ring. A quiet electronic chime sounded as the door to a small dinner was pushed open from the inside of the building. Gregory stepped out on to the side walk, placing two small buds in his ears. Blue moon by Frank Sinatra played at a modest volume through the tiny earbuds. It was one of Gregory’s favorite musical pieces of the last century. The man walked down the dimly lit street, the crisp night air passing by his face as he walked. These moments were rare. Moments of complete solitude and peace didn’t come often for A9, as he spent most of his off time going over his and his fellow Alphas past missions. One could always learn from the past, he thought. Of course his downtime was short lived, moments before a distant yet familiar voice popped into his head. A-23, with news of another assignment.

Gregory continued to walk down the street, paying no attention to the city around him. Denver was never home to him, but this is where he found him self as he preferred to not stray to far from any of the towers across the globe.

Deep in thought the man noticed something out of place through the corner of his eye. Turning his head Gregory saw a small dispute breaking out. Three men, most likely in their early thirties. Two of them were pushing and taunting the third. Gregory’s body slightly turned in their direction, his hands clenched into tight fists. ‘I could easily end this small dispute in a matter of seconds’ he thought. Gregory let out a sigh, releasing his fists and stuffing his hands in his jacket pockets. ‘You’re no hero. And you have somewhere vastly more important to be. This is a problem for local authorities not you’ he knew that his own thoughts were right, he had no reason to step in. It just wasn’t his place.

Gregory walked for a few more steps before pausing to look at a watch on his left wrist. He knew he could very easily take his time arriving at the tower, but what was the point. The sooner he arrived the more time he’d have to get to work and to planning. With that thought Gregory vanished from the street, the only thing left behind was a whisp of blue smoke, mere moments later reappearing seated in front of a computer monitor. The room around him was almost utilitarian in its design and layout. Gregory swiveled his chair around to face the rest of the room, in front of him was a long table with twenty five empty chairs. ‘The Early bird gets the worm I suppose’ he chuckled to himself. Gregory crossed his arms waiting for others to arrive, while the soothing voice of Frank Sinatra continued to play in his ears.

Stryker
Israeli Defense post 313, Northern Iraq >Inside Ac-390 cargo ship

As james continued on to the plane A-doe had caught up to him and held out a cigarette which he nodded and took. He didnt smoke at all in the past, but after realising that his healing factor would negate any damages from it he had become a bit more open to it. "Thanks, i take it your heading out with me?" the path he walked eventually took him to the runway where a Ac-390 Hypersonic cargo plane waited for them. "From the looks of the mission file this ones gonna be a multi Alpha op. And were gonna do a satillite drop to the target...thats always fun." the last part dripped with sarcasm strykers hatred for flying was well known to his trainees, after all he used his fear as an example of how to better overcome your fears. If there was one thing he hated worse than flying though, it was space travel. He puffed the stoge once while the cargo bay doors opened and flicked it out about halfway.

One of the planes crew was standing when the doors finally opened and the soldier came oit with a report. "Were expecting some turbulence and a quick pit stop in Yemen to scoop up alpha 7. VTOL is dropping him at a landing strip in the north." he pointed to several seats on the walls and gestured for them come on board. In each seat was a helmet with a mike and ear covering to protect from the insanely loud engines which were just begining to power on. "We Take off in one minute." the soldier said as he made his way to the cockpit leaving the super soldiers to strap in and don their helmets.

Alpha 23 & Alpha 2
Alpha tower, Denver Colorado

After a minute or so of driving, most of which was spent at a red light, Hector parked in the adjacent parking garage and walked for a few minutes as he made his way to the meeting room. On the last turn before the meeting room he practically bumped into Paul Rorail, Arguably his least favorite Alpha. "I Had forgotten you were Available Paul." he said with obvious spite in his voice. But the large man only seemed to smile at the passive aggression. "Well if were gonna send a squad ill be damned if i miss out, plus i could use some real exercise, them presses just dont do the same thing for me as they used to." Hector narrowed his eyes as he scanned Pauls mind for any sign of future trouble, but for once the Man seemed genuine. "Well i am sure We could find a use for you anyway." He said as he opened the door and stepped inside without holding it for him. Again Paul smiled and followed behind him taking a seat at the table near Greggory. "Well if it aint my favorite little brother, how ya been Greg?" paul asked with obvious mocking tone. He did like working with Alpha 9, after all the whole teleporting thing was great, but he couldnt help but poke fun at him. Hell he didnt particularly care who a person was he was gonna give them a hard time. Hector on the otherhand took his seat at the opposite end of the long table after he deployed the monitor from its hiding place in the ceiling. "The others will be watching via a video feed. We wont have long to wait until their flight arrives in England. The Doctor shoukd be joining us shortly."

A-20
Name: Uriel Sauer
Denver, Colorado. Downtown Area.

The wind blew strong, biting at Uriel's face with fury. He was quite a bit above ground level, sitting atop a roof of a 3 story building. The sky was jet black, the city lights polluting the area and blocking out the natural source of the moon. Uriel overlooked the side of the building, his legs hanging off the edge as a cigarette burned brightly, set between his lips. He was relaxed, at ease. The white noise of the traffic below cleared his mind, though earlier this had been interrupted by a transmission. A mission, which he was eager to attend to. He was looking forward to it, but he hoped to finish his night. He was nearby where he needed to go, and suppose that it would take a good while before the rest of the available Alphas arrived. After a few more moments pondering, his hands reached for the cigarette, taking it out of his lips as he turned the burning end towards the roof. He put the cigarette out, before letting himself fall to the sidewalk below him. The street was busy for the most part, regarding both pedestrians and traffic - it was downtown, after all. Uriel moved along with the herd, making his way towards the direction of the tower. At this rate it would take a good fifteen to twenty minutes to arrive. He decided he'd start running soon, after all, it was a lot quicker than taking a cab to the place.

Uriel knew the exact way to the tower, he'd memorized it after arriving there so many times. He admired the trip there, though. There were so many unique shops and corner stores that he sometimes enjoyed to visit for a bit of fun during his free time. There was no reason not to, after all. In fact, he got to know some of the clerks at a few particular stores, he visited so often. Especially the bar, of course. It was a bit more difficult to get drunk, as he was not a regular human, per say, but the characters there could get a few laughs out of him.

After deciding he'd had enough of the stroll, he waited for a break in the pedestrians before taking off. He made sure to move in the street, as it was obviously the most open, and traffic was at a minimum at this time. Any cars in his way, he was able to quite easily move out of the way from. His perception of time was slowed down, allowing him to see and react to vehicles moving at such speeds, through the city. He used what he'd memorized to make his way to the tower, arriving to the tower with haste. Once he was inside, he made his way to the meeting room, opening the door. As he stepped inside, his eyes had trained upon all those who had already arrived. He was relatively early, as he thought. He raised his hand, making a subtle waving motion. "Greetings, gentlemen." He moved to take a seat, choosing whichever one was most convenient, settling down in his chair.

Dmitri Archeyadavich Strelnikov
Airbase Macarthur>Inside Ac-390 cargo ship

Dmitri walked in, his eyes a light shade of red, a thick blunt in between appearing between his lips as soon as he entered the bay of the Ac-390 "Hey boss, you look like your having fun." Stryker grunted groggily in response, he turned to A-Doe, giving a mock salute and accepting her offer of a light, taking a long drag from his blunt, seating himself across the aisle on the other side of the plane.

"Your going to need to put that out as soon as that door shuts." Dmitri looked to Stryker as if he had just snatched a lolly-pop out of his hand.
Dmitri instinctively hid the blunt as the clanging of a pair of boots on metal approached, an air-crewman had come out to address them
"Next time we land it is gonna be in Britain, so make yourself comfortable. We are out of here in one minute."

As he turned and returned to the cockpit the giant door began to shut, and the roaring engines started up.
"Fuck" Dmitri muttered as he mourned his blunt which had gone out as he put in under his thigh.
Dmitri fiddled with his helmet, laying back in the uncomfortable chair,

"So are w-"
The engines rose in volume as the plane began moving to taxi for takeoff.

"Yeah... that's the plan. Guess we'll be spending some quality time together"

A-doe said with a tinge of bitterness - not that she minded her superior's company; she just hated being cooped up in a giant tin-can she had absolutely no control over. She shook her head and took a drag.

Listening to Stryker talk about this new op stirred a bit of excitement in her stomach. She couldn't help but laugh a little, not at Stryker but an opportunity to put an end to her own existence. "A multi-Alpha op? Man... what a fuckin' trip. Any idea what we're going to be up against? Must be a shit show if HQ is having a group of us together." Then there was the comment about space travel.

As they approached the airstrip and were greeted by one of the piloting crew she listened as they gave a monotonous debrief about shit they already knew; turbulence... what else?

A-doe stopped and smashed the cherry out on the metal frame of the plane as they walked in. She didn't flick it out though instead she put it in her mouth and began chewing on the filter.

"Space travel... the fuck are you talking about?" She'd heard they had the capability but never dreamt she'd actually be doing it herself; she thought as she followed Stryker in and strapped herself to one of the seats opposite of him. Her suit tucked itself into a small space at the back of the plane and entered rest-mode. The constant glowing of the red lights indicating the A.I. was thinking turned to calm pulses.

Whitlock, England Big Ben, London>AC-390 cargo ship

An AC-390 approaches the Big Ben a known headquarters among the Alphas. Inside the cockpit sits a familiar figure.

ATC: "Oscar-Golf-Echo-Romeo-Niner approach with caution there's going to be cargo aft of your landing zone"

Pilot: "Affirmative ATC will hold 2,000 feet until established... LSO giving the all-good, ATC confirm.

ATC: "All good."

After a few brief moments the cargo ship finally lands on the aircraft pad. Whitlock undoes his harness and flicks a few switches bringing the engines to zero before grabbing the mic for the crew in the back.

Pilot: "Alright Alphas you're clear to proceed out the back of the aircraft."

Whitlock hit a red button above his chair as he holstered the mic, red pulsating lights in the back of the cargo ship signified the bay door was opening. From this point on his co-pilot would take over so he wrangled himself out of his own seat and headed towards the exit of his cockpit to meet with the other Alphas once they were all situated outside awaiting Stryker's orders.

Once he was outside he took his flight helmet off to reveal nothing but bone underneath the helmet before walking over to Stryker and his team of Alphas.

"STRYKER! Long-time, your knee doing alright after that mission in Lebanon? And who are these lovely band of misfits you've got tugging on your coat strings? I've seen 7 but I don't think I've formally introduced myself to either."

He looked at the two Alphas with Stryker, and the suit seeming to move on its own. Then back at the other two.

"Hey we'll probably all be dead at the end of this, but my name's Whitlock. You can call me A-1 or Whitlock... or whatever suits you."

He joked sarcastically.

Alpha-7, Dmitri, Whitlock, Big Ben, London

Dmitri flicked away a still-lit roach as he walked down the boarding ramp onto the tarmac, staring at the suit as the other two Alphas stood in wait.
"Are we going to get going or is the suit going to carry us up there?"

Stryker, unamused at Dmitri's humor, responded
"Wait for Alpha-1, we'll be out of here in a moment."
Dmitri, perplexed but not questioning him, turned back to stare at the suit again.
A few moments later the pilot of the craft began to approach the men, removing his helmet to show a clean skull engraved with a A1 underneath.

"STRYKER! Long time," as he struck up conversation with Dmitri's fleshy squad leader.
Dmitri looked at his pilot, Stryker, and back to the pilot, mouth slightly open.
He pulled out another blunt from his right chest pocket, warily inspecting it for a moment before dropping it and looking back up at the Skeleton who was now talking about him and the suit lady.

As the skeleton began to introduce himself Dmitri muttered under his breath
"Toto, I don't think we are in Kansas anymore."

A-17 "Plug"
A-17's personal bunk, Denver, Colorado.

There was a loud thud as A-17 quickly rolled off the bed and onto the floor below him, snatching an old sawn off from the bed-side table as he fell onto the ground.
Holding the shotgun tight to his chest as he lay on the ground, he groaned, getting up from where he lay on the ground.
"Fuck that I'm getting atleast my six hours of sleep." he said to nobody in particular, setting a timer on the wrist display that had fallen off the table to wake him up in two hours.
to which he then rolled over and fell asleep.

January 8th 2077, 1:20AM.

"Hey, dickslap, wake up you apefuck retard, you worthless fucking baboon get your ass up. I sai-"
The alarm shut off automatically as Plug started to get up from his resting place on the floor. Walking to the foot of his bed he started putting on his Power armor's responsive mesh.
As he fit his hands into the gloves he made a fist with both hands, the suit immediately tightening to his skin and the light reflective flicker of an energy shield passed like a wave over the suit.
A-17 walked over to his bed-side table, taking the helmet from it and putting it on his head, the holographic display turned on, his surroundings in a 240 degree angle in front of the helmet appeared as the helmet activated itself. He then picked up the holographic wrist display he had used before, fastening it to his left forearm as a feint hum passed his head, he looked up to see his drone slowly hover past his head. "You are getting up awfully early today, is everything alright?" A-17 turned, heading for the door.
"We have work to do, lets go."

Alpha 24
Alpha Tower, Denver Colorado

Juniper was already in the tower when she got the VERY LOUD call in her head. She whined and tried to rub the noise out of the back of her eyeballs for a good five minutes before she felt like her brain was done rattling about in her head from the megaphone named Alpha 23. Yeah, sure, maybe some people needed it to be so loud, but everyone? Rude.

Her tiny huffing and puffing fit over with, she debated on what she should do with this information. Did everybody have to get ready? Like... everybody, everybody? Was she actually gonna get to go on a mission!? She bounced a little with each step around her room, pacing and thinking. She had really wanted to go on a mission. Was it gonna be dangerous or was it something for learning? If it was everybody going, then she guessed that there wouldn't really be much of an in-between on that. If it was really dangerous... couldn't some of them get hurt?

She stopped bounding about for a moment and stood, staring at her door. She didn't want to get hurt.

Mm... Doctor Dad wasn't gonna let them get hurt. They were important to him! Juniper smiled big again and slipped out of her room, shutting the door behind herself as she thought about where she could go. They were probably in the meeting room... so that meant... She looked up and focused as she breathed out, an almost entirely transparent bubble appearing around herself. She bobbed down into the ground slightly before she started to go up, through the ceiling and up into the meeting room.

Her small head peeked up over the floor and she looked up at Alpha 23 whose chair she happened to be at the feet of. The little blonde-haired, amber-eyed menace smiled devilishly before rocketing up and disengaging her bubble, arms out in a cute landing.

"BOO!"

The Briefing
January 8th 1:30 A.M.

Dr.Maxwell Atori
Alpha tower Directors office>Alpha tower Briefing Room

The doctor was honestly surprised when he realized his Alpha's were all in place. "Well that was fast, they must be excited." he said to himself with a hint of pride. His creations were far better than he had ever imagined and he honestly couldnt be more satisfied with them. Sure their attitudes were problematic sometimes, but he had no buisness calling himself the worlds smartest man if he couldnt handle a bit of salt.

He finished the orders for transport and adjusted the time to make it much sooner. Rising from his chair he walked out of his office humming a tune making his way to the mag-lev elevator. The elevator dinged a little over a second later relasing him into the hallway where the briefing room was located. As he entered the room he greeted his children with a warm "Good evening Alpha's i thank you for your speedy response." his voice echoed throughout the room as he made his way to the head of the table taking his position in the gap between to 25 chairs. He turned his gaze to the monitor on the opposite end of the table which flicked on according to his will reveal Stryker at a table with three other Alpha's.

James Stryker
Big Ben 2, London, England

As the plane landed near the airport a Mag Helo was already waiting for them. It was in the air in less than a minute, and being unpressurized stryker relaxed on his smoking crackdown. However he was very obviously still on edge being in the air. Luckily the second flight was only a minute or two and landed directly on the towers roof. The walk from there to the confrence room took another few minutes which he walked in his usual silent manner.

However once he got to the room he immediatly began to dish out orders. "Ok have a seat and make sure you are in the camera's visual range. Imma get us set up." it only took him a few seconds to set it up and by the time he made it to his chair the screen had already flickered on revealing the good doctor and Five alpha's. Holy crap, me & Eight alpha's? Is it really that bad? he thought to himself as the doctor cleared his throat to begin...

Alpha 23 & Alpha 2
Alpha tower Briefing room. Denver, Colorado

Paul shifted his gaze from greg to The surprise visit of Alpha-24. He began grinning immediately as he did the math in his head. So far thats 5 alpha's in this room, enough power to bring down a country, this was gonna be a fun mission for sure. As soon as the thought crossed his mind Hector turned from laughing with Juniper to lock eyes with Paul who smiled knowingly at the alpha before starting to think about porn to chase him out of his mind. Hector turned his attention back to juniper easily holding her weight with just his arms. However he looked at the door and thought "Its time." to the whole room before sitting Juniper in a chair beside him. The greeting and Activation of the screen showing stryker and their siblings settled in at the london tower. Paul's heart seemed to speed up Eight, thats enough too drop a damn superpower this IS gonna be fun. he thought to himself with his devilish grin growing larger as Atori cleared his throat to begin.

Dr.Maxwell Atori

As He cleared his throat the eyes of horus whirred and the lights dimmed allowing the hologram projevtor the bring up a globe which zoomed into the Country of russia, showing an aerial view of the city of Moscow wreathed in flames and with smoke raising from their rooftops. "What you are seeing is a live feed of Moscow courtesy of the Os-2113 surveillance satellite." His eyes clicked and the hologram changed into an image of an ageing man in a lab coat with a beer gut an a whispy white beard as the only bit of hair on a bald head. "This is Dr. Ivan Putinski, a brilliant nuclear physicist who offered his design to the motherland durrig the start of the war. They declined and he could find no funding for his research. He vanished shortly afterwards." The image changed again to show a strange six legged Spider tank shooting down jets, helicopters, gunships, and even other tanks. The video was only about fifteen seconds long but the mech had to have cut down three dozen armored vehichles of various design before it turned and shot at the camera cutting the video off "Well about an hour ago he resurfaced in moscow apparently from an underground bunker, but he brough with him an army of advanced nuclear powered Drones. So far satillite recon and a few battle recordings are all we have been able to get, no one else has been able to make their way through the drones Perimeter." The image shifted again to a satillite marked OD-7. "But they are not Alpha's nor do they have m-our...resources." next to the satillite appeared what looked to be a bullet the size of a minivan. A cross section revealed four seats and crap tons of armor and shock absorbers. "I have designed the blueprints for a special type of ammunition for the orbital destroyer satellites. One designed not for destruction but rather for instant tactical deployment. You will all be testing these designs." the cross section closed and the round slid into the chamber and was fired at the holographic earth. But it was fired three times. "there will be three shots fired." a second pod design came up, this cross section revealing less armor, one seat, and a metric ton of explosives. "Alpha 2 you will be riding in this model, its designed to flatten the landing site for the other two pods which will contain your brothers and sisters. Your pod will be destroyed upon landing...but you should be capable of surviving both the blast and the impact, if your pod is shot down it will fragment, each explosive cluster will be attatched to you via a harness and you will have a thruster suit, aim for somewhere with good cover." the first shot landed on the outskirts of the city blasting a small crater into the digital earth where the other two pods landed. "Alpha's 1, 7, & 9 will be launched in pod 2 with Stryker, upon landing you are to secure the area. Pod 3 will hold Alpha's 17,23, 24, & 25 your objective is to establish a forward operations base and establish contact with the Russian military, they will be your support." doctor Putinski's mage appeared again. "Your primary objevtive is to bring me doctor putinski alive, secondary objective is to save the city of moscow. Do not allow russian authorities to apprehend doctor Putinski he and i must have a talk before he faces what he has done." the holograms flickered off and his face seemed to soften a bit. "This operation is very dangerous, however you all have the power to see it through if you work together. I will be watching and listening and will help where i can. Be careful my children." he then clapped his hands loudly and smiled. "Now then, whats say we get you all to the Space force center?" he said in an eager tone.

Whitlock, England Big Ben, London>Alpha's Conference Room

Before anyone had a chance to agree or get a word in edge-wise, Whitlock had stood up and hailed Dr.Atori

"Doctor, I've got a question... or a few before we depart for our mission. I think the information will be helpful for the success of our mission and put some of our squad at ease going into this."

He hesitated for a moment knowing Dr.Atori was notorious for liking things... more chaotic.

"I was just wondering... do we have any intel on the enemy's behavior? Anything on the drones? Or Dr. Ivan himself? What kind of personality is he?"

Whitlock hesitated once more but decided it'd be best to summarize

"Basically... I'd like to get a good look at any information about the drone's capabilities and behavior as well as the doctor's psychological file, if you have it?"

His gaze set upon every Alpha on the monitor, and then to the Alpha's in the room with him before leaning on the table awaiting Dr.Atori's response.

Mikazuki looked at the monitor. It was an hour ago when he had landed at the tower, and was taken to the Mission Room, to hear the Mission he was being assigned. During the listening, he was eating a snack bar. More specifically, a chocolate chip oat bar. Mikazuki thought the bar was okay. He was still listening, but after hearing all the Alphas that attended numbers, he noticed his number, "10", was not called.

One of the Alphas asked about seeing a file on the spider Drones that were shown previously. Mikazuki felt he needed to speak up as well. " Excuse me," Mikazuki started, sounding calm. "How come I wasn't amongst the Alphas being deployed? I showed up for this didn't I?"

Alpha tower Briefing room. Denver, Colorado
Alpha-17 looked around at the mixed reactions of his comrade Alphas.
"That's really fucking cool and all but uh,"
*faintly, under his breath* "Well I guess it could be worse," looking up to A-2, giving in with a defeated
"fuck it, nevermind."

Big Ben 2, London, England
Dmitri blinked twice, looked at Stryker for confirmation of what he heard, blinked again, and looked back at the now black screen.
"So basically fuck everybody in the area but Dr. Putinski?"
When given a dirty look from Stryker he continued with
"The civilian casualties from crossfire are going to be SO fucking high, I know I'm one to talk, but I wonder if this will benefit our public image."

The Briefing
January 8th 1:30 A.M.

Dr.maxwell Atori
Alpha tower, Denver colorado.

A smile crept across Atori's face as each of his alpha's came with a question. His brain organized them in order of relevance and he began to answer. First came Alpha 10's answer sice it would also partly answer alpha 7's comment. "Thats because you are going on a seperate Operation Mikazuki. The russian army has gathered several dozen kiliometers away from the edge of moscow. That is where i am sending you via hypersonic private jet. Once you arrive you will rendezvous with Spetsnaz they are planning an nass scale evacuation mission at the same time as the alpha's landing unfortunately they would give me no further details. Im sure they will fill you in when you arrive." he then shifted his gaze to alpha 7. "You and the others are going to be keeping the enemies attention focused on the southwestern section of the city, most of the population there has already been captured and relocated to the downtown area by our targets. That way the lot of you can cut loose without worrying. You will find that the vast majority of the city has been evacuated to the downtown area. Which i am assuming is where the doctor is, likely using the civilians as Shields to prevent the russians from blowing up whatever building he is in." lastly his gaze shifted to Whitlock, his eldest. The smile crept all the wider as he noted the most experienced alpha was the one wanting to know about the enemies, How fitting. "Unfortunatly we dont have much up to date information on either. Dr Putinski vanished close to fifty years ago and any files on him were scrubbed clean due to his work in top secret projects. The fact that he is even still alive is nothing short of impressive. However we have a bit more on the drones. Apparently there are 4 different kinds, but that is a verbal report and little information beyond that exists. We know from the battle clip that they have thick armor, advanced shielding, and a mix of energy and balistic weaponry. It is believed that they are also likely nuclear powered. Considering its russian made technology its likely run on some form of pre programmed Semi-A.I. hacking is not going to pan out well...as for the number...reports show over 5,500 various drones in the city. Alas my children Q&A is over, i have work to do if i am going to get you there in one piece. Report to the nearest spaceport, Meeting Adjourned."he said smiling as he walked with purpose out of the room and towards the fortified basement that held the mission control consoles.

Alpha 10: Mikazuki
Alpha Tower, Denver, Colorado

Mikazuki understood what he needed to do. He had an assignment that is most likely only under secrecy for himself only, and would get his assignment when he gets there.

"Then I will be on my way." Mikazuki said. He got up from the table and walked towards the doorway. When he reached there, he took a snack bar out from underneath his jacket and open it, before eating its contents. He left the room and towards the elevator, while saying, "That's a good oat bar."

Alpha-25

A-doe hadn't said much as they were all taking in the mission briefing. She was busy chewing on a cigarette filter and picking her nails with an unnecessarily large blade. She put her feet up on the conference table as the first round of questions were asked followed by their inconsequential answers. Just as she expected there was nothing to say on the matter of Dr. Ivan or his army of 1950's destructo-bots.

"Piss poor"

She said finally putting her boots to the ground, standing up and sheathing her combat knife towards the back of her torso. She took one look at her suit which was ominously glowing with red lights and moving like a snake in one of the dark corner of the room, she looked over at Stryker - not at him, more through him than anything. This was her first chance to send herself to the afterlife. It was going to be a glorious few days.

"Let's get going then..."

It was fitting that A-doe would be going with some of the more intelligent Alpha's. She didn't like wasting time, she didn't like wasting other people's time, and so she rarely had more than little to say about the current goings-on.

Whitlock reached up with his right hand caressing the bone of his forehead - he could feel the tiny fibers from his tactical gloves grabbing every little edge on his skull. So there was no information, practically, about what they'd be going up against? The information about the drones was at least a bit helpful. With a well placed EMP strike it could disable a good chunk of the drone's forces.

His tactical mind began building plan after plan.

They likely had advanced optics as well... so a couple of deterrents could give them the upper hand right-off.

A thought occurred to him.

"Stryker do you think it would be possible to have one of my drones deployed once we touch down? I can coordinate with 23 for a full tactical advantage. It would allow me to cover all of our squads, not just our own."

Dmitri shrugged, "I guess there are shittier ways to die." as he opened the door to leave.

Getting something done was an exciting thought, he was about ready to stop sitting around doing nothing of importance for a bit. "Guess that's that. We know what we need to do." Uriel brought himself up from his chair, making his way over to the door to exit the room. Chances of dying weren't too high, and it would get the blood pumping. Though, lack of information worried him a bit. There was nothing they could really do about it, but it still bothered them. It's always good to understand what they're up against before going in.

Uriel had exited the tower and was out on the street, letting out a relieved sigh, eyes turned to the sky. It would be best to get there soon, there's no reason to wait around.

Mission Start

Stryker & The Alpha's
Orbital Destroyer 07.
January 8th 9:00am

The fabrication of the pods and loading them with the needed equipment fpr both the alpha's and the forward operations base they were going to have to set up took a few hours. For most of that time the alpha's were in the spaceport itself, it was only in the last hour that they took the shuttle into orbit and docked on the massive several hundred meter structure. Marines in spacesuits drift walked around giving a brief tour while the pods were loaded into the chambers. It held a crew of only 13, meaning the addition of 9 new bodies made the movements cramped. Essentially it was a giant revolver and the alpha's were about to be the bullets.

Stryker was so obviously uncomfortable as he took his seat in the third chambers ppod as evidenced by his hands shaking while he strapped himself in. 23 on the other hand seemed surprisingly relaxed, he had seen the blueprints and even the marines thoughts were full of confidence. However he was a bit on edge about going into the field, he would be vulnerable, likely moreso than the others, but he needed to be there, he couldnt find Putinski and keep his siblings in communication from either of the towers and with all the civilains bound to be clustered around the doctor, closer would be better. Alpha 2 on the other hand didnt seem to have a care in the world, even as the bomb harness was strapped to him and the tethers to the several hundred pounds of high powered explosives were attached he seemed almost as if he was full of glee. "See you punks on the ground." he said as his pod closed and the three minute timer began its countdown.

"T-minus 180 seconds until launch procedures. All personnel report to firing positions." the mechanized voice shouted through the intercom as the marines helped the other alpha's into their seats. When the timer finally reached the one minute and then the 30 second mark the remaining pods closed and were spun into the chamber. In the last thirty seconds Alpha 23 formed the link with his brothers and sisters. "Well guys if we do die, at the very least im pretty sure we'll be the first to die like this." His thoughts were punctuated by the sound of Pauls pod firing towards the city of moscow at fifty times the speed of sound. About a second later the sound of gears turning was the only warning before the second shot, and the same for the third.

Each alpha would feel their bodies stress under the speed of the projectile, and only a small screen in the center of the pod displayed an altitude meter which beeped every half second. However those in the 2nd pod would have a hard time hearing it over Stryker's long string or drawn out and creative curse words. The sounds of rapidfire anti-air artillary detonating around the pods filled the air soon drowing out even strykers profanities. However a much much louder boom filled the air as Pauls pod landed right on target, flattening several warehouses, unleashing a pressure wave that covered a square mile, and unearthing the bedrock nearest to the center of the crater.

A steaming Alpha-2 was left climbing to his feet glowing with the taletell reddish hue of his power, the droneing sound which accompanied the power gave him a feeling of immense pleasure. Yet he knew better than to stand still he leapt to the edge of the crater and promptly went to work smashing cars together into barriers of twisted steel, barricading alleyways, doing what he could to set up a choke point from the direction of the city. He only had mere minutes to work before the enemies would be upon them. Luckily his partners would be shortly behind him. He lifted his eyes towards the sky to find several flying machines roughly the size of a Labrador on approach. "Excellent and here i was getting bo-" his sentence was cut short by one of the aerial drones firing a large electrically charged round right at the center of Pauls chest which much to his surprise actually hurt a little bit. He flexed his powerful leg mucles and leapt nearly 30 yards landing behind cover and narrowly avoiding the burst of fire that came from the rest of the aerial squad. "Careful you guys, i found another type of drone, the little F##kers fly and have railguns." he thought to the alpha's with 23's connection as he ripped a tire off of the car he was behind and threw it like a frisbee right into one of the drones. An electric shield crackled absorbing the blow but knocking the drone off course and causing it to land hard on the pavement in a heap. "Sheilded too, but not enough." the loud boom behind him told him that his team had finally landed.

Strykers heart skipped a beat as the landing jolted the pod but the frame held and the impact dampeners did their job. Sighing in relief he listened to pauls message and nodded picking up his rifle. "Alright these things are likely running off of russian A.I. no battle formations, we need to get to A-2 and set up the perameter. One minute until the others drop, lets get some attention shall we?" he said clicking his rifles magazine in and pulling the hatch open.

Russian Army forward command base.
16 miles north of moscow. Red Star Strike team & Alpha-10

The Hypersonic stealth jet touched down on a small improvised airstrip to the greeting of the sounds of war machines churning. Tanks rolled into massive formations, missiles were being loaded into Jets, and Magazines filled with armor piercing ammunition. You'd be a fool to miss it, they were planning a large scale assault. The Alpha project agents that accompanied A-10 did their best to inform the Alpha of the mission at hand but their details were always shady and usually accompanied by a "They will tell you more." Luckily the flight was short. As the Agents and A-10 stepped off of the plane they would be greeted by a tall spindly looking russian in combat boots, urban camo pants, and a black muscle shirt. "Thanks for the delivery, tell your boss we will take over from here." he said in a thick russian accent that. The agents nodded and walked back to the plane making their reports. After they got out of apparent earshop the man finally spoke again. "We cant have the americans knowing about how we will do this, my old war teacher told me you were his most versatile operative, thats what i need to save a couple million lives, no pressure." he said with a smirk as he turned gesturing for a-10 to follow.

He lead the alpha into a huge tent filled with almost thirty russian men and women, most wore a kind of black mechanized armor suit with a red star on the shoulder. A few were still getting into theirs, including the initial man who was stepping into an inactive suit. "My name is Yuri, at least it is to you. We are the Red star strike squad, top secret operatives. Today the mission is a really juicy one." the soldiers began to gather around as he explained this to them, some paid no attention obviously having Heard it before. "We will take old War tunnels into the city, a few breach charges should put us into the downtown sewer system, from there we breach our way into the building's and locate then liberate all hostages we can." as he spoke a holographic map emanated from the small table he stood behind. "We have dirtbikes to take us through the tunnels, from the sewers on it will be on foot. 24 hours from now the russian army will turn the city into warzone as they mount their offensive, we need to be out with as many civilians as possible before then. Any questions?" he asked as his armor closed over his chest.

A-Doe (Alpha 25)

A-Doe's heart raced as the pod's door slowly shut, her hands white knuckled from gripping the straps of her seat. It was like that feeling you got just before the climax of a rollercoaster except this time they might actually end up horribly maimed. She didn't fear death, she feared being a fucking crippled vegetable for the rest of her life and dying to something so stupid that it'd be embarrassing for anyone to mention. She felt the pod move and engage into place. Then the gear churning. Her breathing got deeper and faster; this was it-

"SON OF A BitcH"

She said in a broken voice as she felt the full g-force of the launch smash into her body. It felt like an eternity - an eternity of adrenaline coursing through her veins. An eternity before the next jolt snapped her out of her instinctive daze. It almost felt like a fever-dream as she came to. The pod door was open and Stryker was already issuing commands. She tore off her harness and made her way out of the pod. High off adrenaline she broke off into a sprint towards their objective's direction; as she did so her Suit was already ahead of her. A-Doe leapt forward and her suit, almost organically, wrapped around her to catch her before she landed naturally in increased speed. She translated her plan through Alpha 23 WeaselThor WeaselThor .

"I'm going in to clear the drones in our path to Alpha 2 out. Plug, Stryker, Juniper, and Hector - I'll be drawing the drones attention which should give you guys an opportunity to make your way to site 2 with less resistance."
Deathkitten Deathkitten
As she ran towards Alpha 2's drop-site the holster on her right thigh hissed open, ejecting a giant cleaver into the air that spun violently, only to be caught with precision by a self-moving tendril piloted by her suit's A.I. as A-Doe approached several drones aggressively flew towards her but A-Doe was focused on their rail's as she saw them start to power up she smiled to herself.

"Thanks for the info big guy"

In the next moment a cleaver had severed the railgun from one drone sending electricity and blue sparks from the drone's forcefield cascading across the open air - the cleaver having high frequency vibrational abilities, and split another in half while another cleaver whirred through the air shattering another drone apart. The other holster on her left thigh was agape and smoking as it had deployed the secondary cleaver as well. The tendrils were performing flawless blade work.

"This is going to be fun"

She said as she narrowly avoided a metal projectile from one of the drone's railguns.

Whitlock (Alpha 1)

As the undeniable force slammed into Whitlock he seemed to be rather pre-occupied mentally to have acknolwedged the jolt very much. Even now he was still going over tactical battle plans. He continued analyzing as many angles as he could. After another few moments another jolt brought him to the real world as he realized they landed. He shifted his head back and forth for a moment stretching his neck before undoing his harness and getting out of the pod.

"Alright... Alpha 7, Alpha 9

Since I've got the most battle experience here I'm going to take point as your squad leader temporarily. Dmitri if you don't like it you can eat my ass but... here's my plan. Dmitri you do what you do best, I think it's a good idea to send you in first and draw their attention. I'm not going to let you get killed so don't worry about your lack of weaponry... Gregory I think you're smart enough to relay information on a screen to me right?"

He leaned into the pod and pulled out a suit-case and popped it open, setting it on the pod infront of them to reveal a tactical military satellite computer. Whitlock pressed a few Buttons and the screen seemed to zoom in.

"Gregory the two of us will move with Dmitri to cover his ass, but I need you to lug this shit around so I can do the firing. Just make sure it doesn't get destroyed it's our only way to drop massive amounts of fire power on the enemy near instantly. For the first act - getting all of us safely from here to Alpha 2's site we're going to drop a dual trail of smoke from where we are to the objective. After that we'll all move through the smoke straight to the objective. I'll do most of the shooting. Unless..."

He paused for a moment

"Gregory can you blink more than one person at a time?"

Alpha 24
Orbital Destroyer 07 -> Alpha 17, 23, 24, 25's Site

Juniper was quiet the whole of the meeting yesterday, simply absorbing what they were told. She was really going on a mission. This was really happening... and now it was actually time. She was beyond nervous and the little bit of shaking in her hands showed it. She was looking at the others, and in particular 23. His commentary wasn't exactly comforting... she didn't want to think about dying. Dying would suck. Dying would suck a lot.

Luckily, her thoughts were promptly cut off by the massive shock of being shot down from space to the landing site. She didn't make much sound, but she did shut her eyes as tight as she could and brace herself for the hard stop at the end.

Her shaky breathing resumed once they stopped moving.

{I want to stay by you,} Juniper thought to 23, {Is that okay? I can try to help keep you safe and stuff... besides... if there's drones like he said, I dunno how well my bubble would work on them. I know it works on people... I'm not so sure about robots.}

She stood up, walked to the door of the craft, and peeked outside. They were supposed to make contact with the Russians, right? That and "establish a forward operations base" too. What use was she going to be? Sure, she could make herself go incorporeal and stuff... but she just wasn't sure how best to help. Spy work would be so much better and easier than robot pinball. All the same, it sounded like 25 was handling things.

Maybe that meant she wouldn't have to deal with drones as much and could focus on real people? Or at least a tiny bit less? Drones would be the fastest to respond, but that probably meant bigger things would come later. Would the bigger things fly too? And would they have bigger guns?? Probably... She looked to 23 again nervously, waiting for someone to tell her what to do or at least for someone she could follow.
