A stubborn perfectionist, Feria is both straightforward and motivated. Unafraid of a challenge or threat, Feria runs Blackwell with an iron fist. She believes that with heavy treatment, restricted living, and science can heal the sick minded. In addition, she believes that perfection can be obtained and she will do so by any means necessary. Having been raised by her father at a young age and raised and pampered to take the reigns of Blackwell, she's been molded to resemble an unforgiving tundra. Cold and calculating, she's apathetic to the needs of others. She's very closed when it comes to her personal life and tends to keep her emotions in check. Violence and graphic detail do not bother her as much as a wrinkle in clothing, a speck on her white blouse, or a crooked picture frame.

Her father, Lord bless his soul, raised her in hopes that she would take over Blackwell when he passed. She's a spitting image of the man despite her disability, OCD, of which she was diagnosed with at a young age. Having run amok in medical and law enforcement alike, she's knowledgeable in the procedures, legalities, and requirements of an institute such as her asylum.
She strives to be perfect in anything and everything so what better way to reach such a dream than to create a perfect human? Wanting nothing more then to reach that level of perfection, she's constantly prying her medical staff for solutions as well as gaining more support from society and black market funds. Being extremely charismatic and sneaky, she's been able to keep the press from peeking behind the curtains of Blackwell as well as keeping her staff inline. Of course, this isn't always done ethically as she, much like her father, is not afraid to get her hands dirty (that is, if she is wearing gloves and has the floor and walls covered in plastic).

An incessant coffee drinker and reader, Schwarzen is an insomniac physicist with a soft and intelligent demeanor. He's often polite and respectable, but tends to show evident disapproval to the patients with criminal charges as well as to Feria herself. He disagrees with Blackwell's methods, but he's in more need of cash then he is for ethics and what is and what is not legal or humane. Experimentation fascinates him and is one of the many things that he will be found either studying or enacting. He's not fond of making mistakes and is continuously trying to improve his practice in controlled development of a patient's mind. Despite his greed in learning, he craves wealth more so than the practices of a doctor.
Although he portrays himself as a good man, he is a flirt and is often caught sweet talking the female staff and - if he's desperate - female patients.

Having been caught in an affair, Schwarzen has been divorced for over eleven years and hasn't seen his daughter since. Stuck with paying child support and with the need to afford all that he can for his personal use, he took on the job at Blackwell due to the money and the possibility of making history. Although he has verbally disagreed with the practices in the asylum, he hasn't done much to go against Feria's demands.
He has both knowledge in neurosurgery and cardiovascular surgery. Currently, he is learning psychotherapy and psychosurgery to better his patients as well as fulfill Feria's demands.
He was a pat of the team that had almost acquired a perfect human being. His experiments have costed many lives and their failures haunt him. Schwarzen drinks coffee in hopes to get dog-tired and crash in a deep sleep to stay clear from the nightmares.
