The Sin'dorei live in uncertain times. Their home and kingdom only recently ravaged by the Scourge, though Silvermoon has been reclaimed, the Dead Scar and those lost serve as a cruel and eternal reminder of the horrors their people went through.
The Sunwell, the Blood Elves primary source of magical energy, has been snuffed out and so they have been forced to turn to other sources for nourishment, some questionable and others difficult to attain. Those who fail to control their addiction and enjoy magic in excess are turned Wretched, their minds and bodies twisted, they are utterly consumed by the need to devour magic, a danger to themselves and others.
Though formerly of the Alliance, the Kingdom of Quel'thalas and its people, the Sin'dorei have not benefitted from any assistance from their former comrades, they are alone and abandoned. Murmurs, whispers and rumors say that a common purpose might be found with the Forsaken in the two peoples' mutual hatred for the Undead Scourge but no official action has at this current point in time been taken to establish an alliance between the two races as far as the public is concerned.
The gates of the kingdom remain open to diplomats, emissaries, traders and yes, even adventurers who might wish to lend their assistance in the kingdom's restoration efforts. As earlier stated, these are uncertain times and matters of alliance, faith and survival have all been brought into question. Will you answer the call for action?
( Thread made with assistance of DapperCat , it would not have been possible without the help of those talented paws. )
The basic idea of the RP is as follows, the characters will participate in the restoration of Quel'thalas by completing quests which revolve around solving a variety of issues around the elven kingdom. The challenges presented will be varied and have a variety of ways to go about resolving them as well! Furthermore characters can go onto affect the future of Quel'thalas as a whole, should they lend their assistance and be in a diplomatic role as well they may be able to sway the Blood Elves away from joining the Horde in the future and instead have them join the Alliance, or alternatively, they may end up remaining entirely neutral.

Blood Elf (Sin'dorei)
For nearly seven thousand years, the high elves cultivated a shining magical kingdom hidden deep within the forests of northern Lordaeron. But five years ago, the undead Scourge invaded Quel'Thalas and drove the elves to the brink of extinction. Led by the evil death knight Arthas, the Scourge destroyed the mystical Sunwell, thereby severing the elves from the source of their arcane power. Though the scars of that conflict are evident, the remaining elves have banded together and retaken much of their homeland. Calling themselves "blood elves", these grim survivors are committed to regaining the vast powers they once commanded. Inspired by the leadership of their beloved prince, Kael'thas Sunstrider, the blood elves now seek new sources of arcane magic and the means of defending their land against the undying horrors of the Scourge. As one of the few surviving blood elves, you must master your thirst for magic and help shape the destiny of your people.

Dwarf
The stoic dwarves of Ironforge spent countless generations mining treasures from deep within the earth. Hidden within their impregnable stronghold of Ironforge Mountain, they rarely ventured beyond the wintry peaks of Dun Morogh. Recently however, the dwarves unearthed a series of ruins that held secrets to their ancient heritage. Driven to discover the truth about his people’s fabled origins, the great King Magni Bronzebeard ordered that the dwarves shift their industry from mining to archaeology. Many archeologists have unearthed ruins of ancient civilization, but few can claim to have done so for a civilization whose numbers have so drastically dwindled only recently! Jokes aside, the kingdom of Quel'thalas holds within it many a secret yet to be discovered.

Forsaken
Bound to the iron will of the tyrant Lich King, the vast undead armies of the Scourge seek to eradicate all life on Azeroth. Led by the banshee Sylvanas Windrunner, a group of renegades broke away from the Scourge, and freed themselves of the Lich King's domination. Known by some as the Forsaken, this group fights a constant battle not only to retain their freedom from the Scourge, but also to slaughter those who would hunt them as monsters. The Forsaken recognize the current state of Quel'thalas as an opportunity to lend aid and establish an unlikely yet profitable alliance with the Sin'dorei.

Gnome
The eccentric, often brilliant gnomes are held as one of the most peculiar races of the world. With their obsession for developing radical new technologies and constructing marvels of mind-bending engineering, it’s a wonder that any gnomes have survived to proliferate. Always searching for problems to counteract and solutions to develop, gnomes jump at the opportunity to do exactly that, and the land of Quel'thalas is in a most unique state of affairs, leaving even more room for gnomes to pursue and demonstrate their ingenuity. That and the Sin'dorei also happen to be in possession of a luxurious amount of precious materials, most useful when it comes to tinkering, and sometimes necessary.
Available classes: mage, rogue, warlock, warrior
Goblin
The wise and cunning goblins have lived in relative peace for generations. Though some of their race sided with the marauding orcs during the Second War, most goblins remained neutral throughout the various conflicts of the Alliance and Horde. Ruled over by corrupt yet highly affluent Trade Princes, their fantastic feats of engineering and vast trade fleets helped the goblins affirm their influence amongst both the Alliance and Horde alike, renowned as traders and mad inventors, they would not dare to dream of missing the opportunity of establishing regular trade routes with Quel'thalas.

Half-elf (limited to one character)
The hybrid offspring born from a union between a human and a high elf. While rare, they remain in a unique position to serve as diplomats between the human and blood elven peoples, sharing ancestral blood from both species. While born of the two races, half-elves are raised in human lands and consider themselves as a part of the Alliance. They are regarded with a degree of distrust by the sin'dorei population, however to a lesser degree than humans.

Human
The noble humans of Stormwind are a proud, tenacious race. Though the recent invasion of the demonic Burning Legion decimated their sister kingdom of Lordaeron, the defenders of Stormwind stand vigilant against any who would threaten the sanctity of their lands. Nestled in the foothills of Elwynn Forest, Stormwind City is one of the last bastions of human power in the world, for as long as it remains standing, that is. The invasion of the Burning Legion demonstrated but a fraction of the threat they can pose to humanity, and Azeroth as a whole. In preparation for the Legion's inevitable arrival, they are diplomats, ever eager to form new alliance to further bolster their numbers against the incoming threat. Lately they have been rumoured to be in dealings with the draenei and though the tensions between them and the elves are at an all time high, having both the draenei and the elves to fight beside them again would certainly improve chances of not only survival, but victory.

Night Elf (Kaldorei)
For ten thousand years, the immortal night elves cultivated a druidic society within the shadowed recesses of Ashenvale Forest. Yet recently, the catastrophic invasion of the Burning Legion shattered the tranquility of their ancient civilization. Led by the Arch-Druid Malfurion Stormrage and the Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind, the mighty night elves rose to challenge the demonic onslaught. Though victorious, the night elves were forced to sacrifice their cherished immortality and watch their beloved forests burn. Though they and the Blood Elves have not seen eye to eye, historically speaking for their respective focuses on natural and arcane magic. Though only the faintest of hopes, it is possible that maybe, just maybe, the combined minds of the two elven races may just find a way to regain their immortality, as well as their source of magical power.

Tauren
Once a nomadic people, the tauren roamed the endless plains of the Barrens, hunting the mighty kodo. Scattered across the land, the wandering tribes were united only by their common hatred for their sworn enemy, the marauding centaur. Seeking aid against the centaur, the great chieftain, Cairne Bloodhoof, befriended the savage orcs, who had recently journeyed to Kalimdor. It is for that reason that the Tauren are interested in aiding the orcs, as they once aided them. Many a druid among their number also wish to lend their aid in healing the land devastated by the Scourge as being able to accomplish such a task would help them greatly in their coming efforts of rejuvenating the lands further down south.

Troll (Darkspear)
The Darkspears, like the tauren, find themselves indebted to the orcs after their Warchief saved their kind from extinction at the hands of the murlocs. They are in a unique position to aid the elves, while the Darkspears have alienated themselves from the rest of troll society, they remain somewhat aware of their cultural customs, and as such, remain one of the few to still possess some hope of negotiating with them. Ever distrustful of the trolls, rumors amongst the Sin'dorei say that they may just be here to rally their tribes in hopes of overrunning their city to claim it as their own.
