appearance » A below-average height male at around 5'4'', Cuvier is an unkept mess of a GameMaker. He never looks well-put together. His hair is black; he parts it on the right side of his head and sweeps it in the opposite direction. He wears a pair of simple, turquoise-framed glasses that offset his deep blue eyes.
He's handsome, but doesn't seem to flaunt it. He usually wears causal, basic clothing, which ironically makes him heavily stand out in the Capitol. When he wants to make an impression at a party, though, he wears the gift from his mentor that he got on his Victory Tour. That is, a large turquoise fur coat with darker blue stripes and a turquoise top hat. He likes the coat, though he'd never admit it. CONTRARY TO his faceclaim art, his left eye is missing. He refuses to have it fixed with Capitol technology, perhaps due to pride. Though he'd never admit it, he does like the coat. It makes him look bigger and more intimidating. His glasses are blacked out on the left lens similar to a really dark sunglass-like lens in order to hide the stitching.

* PERSONALITY
positive traits » Cuvier is ambitious and will do anything to get what he wants if he wants it bad enough. This leads to him being really successful in a lot of situations. He's also curious, which helps him uncover many of his counters to keep the Officials off his trail. He's helpful when he wants to be, and generally will help those he considers friends if it doesn't hinder him at all. He's sly to the point where he's talked his way around Seneca Arviox himself a few times. Overall, though, he's generally cheerful but distant on the surface. Except with Morgan, who he's always open with.
negative traits » On the other hand, his ambition is a double-edged sword. Because of his intense ambition, Cuvier will sometimes make risky, scary moves that leave crumb trails for others to follow. He's also dissociative when he gets into confrontation, subconsciously ignoring the emotions in his chest completely. When he is trying to convince others, he can become a firey, intense source of passion. He can also be very passive-aggressive and emotional. He's disloyal to anyone if it means helping them will screw him over, or if helping them prevents him from getting something he really wants.

history » Cuvier Shields was born in District One to a modest family that created and sold Capitol furniture. His father's name was Ambrus Shields, and his mother's name was Joyce Harlen-Shields. He never wanted for anything material, though his parents were mostly absent throughout his childhood. Cuvier instead blossomed in his high school environment as a popular, fun-loving kid that everyone loved to be around. He had everything- popularity, good grades, and even a girlfriend that seemed to love him to the end of the Earth.

Her name was Rhosyn Lande and she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She treated him well, and he gave her everything in the world. He spent every penny his father gave him in order to impress her and make her happy, as well as taking her on lavish, expensive dates and bending to her every whim. He didn't know it at the time, but she hated it. She wanted to break up with him because she wanted someone with a spine, and she intended to volunteer to do it. She dropped out her Junior year of high school and instead entered the Training Academy for Career Tributes, which Cuvier objected to. Rhosyn lied to him and told him she only did it because high school felt dull, and she promised not get high scores or volunteer.

Well, she made bad scores to impress him, but when the 35th Hunger Games arrived when she was 18, she volunteered after one of the top Academy students was reaped. Cuvier panicked as he watched her head to the stage, and he volunteered before they could even announce the second tribute because he knew how often Career Tributes would fight and argue over positions and try to volunteer over selected Academy students. They usually received beatings for it, but he took the risk.

She broke up with him immediately on the train to the Capitol, screaming that she volunteered to get away from him. Cuvier felt heartbroken. He proceeded knowing from then on that he would die and help her win. He would be her protector.

Throughout the Chariot Rides, Training Sessions, and even the Interviews, he insisted that he wanted to protect Rhosyn and have her live. Though she despised him, she didn't turn down a free meat shield. People began to call him Shield, akin to his last name and representative of what he was doing for Rhosyn. When they got into the Arena, though, everything changed. The 35th Arena comprised of 25 different small islands, not counting the free-floating starting pedestals. The middle one contained the Cornucopia, while the rest of the islands could only be seen because of the trees littering some of them. Some tributes, including a Career from Two, couldn't swim and ended up drowning or starving on their starting pedestals. The arena proved brutal for everyone, and everyone experienced severe dehydration at some point.

Cuvier's main high school sport was swimming, and it quickly became apparent. The Capitol citizens and fans began to call him Tigershark because he viciously tore through the water and fought best with a barbed dual-trident he found in the Cornucopia with the Career tributes. The other Careers slowly began to prefer him over Rhosyn, and they went on a hunting mission while leaving Rhosyn at the Cornucopia very late-Games with only eight tributes left. Cuvier and two other Careers fought like hell against the remaining tributes on the map, and though they struggled, only Cuvier and one Career from 4 made it out alive. He fled to another island, knowing that Cuvier would kill him and then himself for Rhosyn.

Cuvier headed back to Rhosyn at the Cornucopia and explained the situation, and she agreed that she would help him take out the last Career and then she would finish him quickly. They went to sleep in the metal hull that night, with Rhosyn standing guard first and Cuvier sleeping first. He awoke to a figure stabbing at his face with a dagger and taking his left eye out, which kicked in adrenaline and panic. He pushed the person off and crawled a nearby dagger before flipping around to his back and stabbing upward at his attacker. He landed his mark- right in Rhosyn's throat. He screamed, ashamed and hurt, and threw her off. She tried to kill him in his sleep, and he accidentally killed her in retaliation.

Crying, he wrapped up his eye and took his trident before setting off to find the last tribute. If he made it this far and she couldn't make it out, he was going to. He fought to the death on one of the farthest islands, almost losing his life to being caught in a fishing trap that the District 4 Tribute set for him. He finally won, and was taken out of the arena to have his eye repaired. He told them that he didn't want it repaired, though, because it was a reminder that he failed. His Stylist opted in for a pair of half-blacked out glasses for his Victory Tour. They also surprised him with his new turquoise top hat and jacket, memoirs of his new nickname that sponsors gave him. He both loves and hates both of them to this day.

On the Victory Tour, he found himself mesmerized by the amount of people that solicited him for 'favors' of certain natures, and he visibly denied them, often making a show. He was also surprised at everything that changed while he was inside, like the nickname and following behind 'Tigershark'. But when he got home to his District, he couldn't stand living there any more. He left immediately, refusing Mentorship and applying to move to the Capitol. He met President Snow in this process, who, in his own way, told Cuvier that should he ever turn down a 'favor' of a Capitol citizen because he was a famous Victor, that his family and friends would be killed. He didn't refuse after that, but he didn't pretend like he enjoyed it, either.

He lived the next few years in the Capitol low districts, but not quite in the Slums. His car barely ran, and he often couldn't afford to have both electricity and water, so he went with water. He turned to said 'favors' to even keep that on and keep food in the house. Because of this, there was always another Capitol bombshell beauty on his mattress, begging him to come back to bed throughout his years, and it's followed him even today. He often still accepts these solicitations simply because it's one of the familiar things to him even though he's not interested.

Finally, Cuvier saved up enough money to go to a university and majored to Genetic Engineering for Capitol Mutants at 21. He was salutatorian of his class, only missing it by one B in his senior year when he started to struggle with money. He attended graduation only because he was expected to, and he zoned out the entire time, remembering nothing about the ceremony or the fake, pre-written speech he gave.

He met the Valedictorian of his class when he started his night job after finally getting his acceptance letter as a Rookie GameMaker, where he worked making mutants for the Games and other Capitol use. His name was Seneca Arviox, and he had dreams of being on the Presidential Cabinet. The two got to know each other extremely well in his Rookie GameMaker year before he had enough money that he could quit the job, but they had a big fight and Cuvier quit two months away from finishing his first year because he "didn't agree with what Seneca wanted to do with mutants". Other than that, he doesn't like to talk about it.

When he became a Rookie GameMaker, Morgan and Amelia Morrow took him in and treated him like family. He felt finally at home amongst the GameMakers, but something in his first year made him realize that the profession was dangerous and he needed to climb the ladder quick. Morgan phoned him in the middle of the night, giving him only an address and a plea to hurry before not picking up any more calls. Cuvier drove his barely driveable car to the Slums of the Capitol to pick up a blood-soaked, drunken Morgan on the side of the road. He hopped in, and the two had to scrub every surface of blood as well as come up with a good alibi on where they had been all night when they both slipped into the Training Center at 4am with Morgan in Cuvier's under-fitting clothing and both stinking of peroxide when Amelia found them. Morgan told him later that a man he met at a party threatened to kill Amelia, and so Morgan did the only thing he knew how to do- he eliminated the threat. Cuvier realized, he could do that too.

When he realized the standard GameMaker staff was full and he would never advance that way, he set up a fight outside of the center that got one of the GameMakers, Alpha Brer, killed. Morgan offered him the position, and the two grew closer as they hung out in bars, after work, during the Games, and more. The two developed a very friendly father-son like bond. Then, after two years passed, Cuvier took his shot again. Nina Harren got the axe this time, her autopsy showing some type of laudanum poisoning. No one traced it to him, and left it alone considering the turnover rate of GameMakers, and Morgan offered him the position of Assistant Head GameMaker next to him. The problem was, Cuvier's ambition didn't stop. He wanted to keep going, and he needed the top spot now.
After he waited two years for things to cool off, he worked his ass off to set up his best power move yet. He framed Amelia and had her executed, much to Morgan's demise. Morgan still has no idea that Cuvier is the reason that his wife was doused in gasoline in a silk dress by Seneca Arviox and set aflame. If he found out, he would kill him. Morgan refused the position of Head GameMaker, unable to take his wife's position, and Cuvier stepped up to take it. It's his first year as Head GameMaker, but he's starting to think Seneca might suspect him after he figured out that Amelia had been framed.

appearance » Aeron is a relatively short person at around 5'0'', and might questionably be 120lbs soaking wet. Their hair is a greasy, stringy mess of black that sticks in all direction and looks like they haven't taken care of it all their life. Their eyes are dark brown and they constantly carry dark bags underneath them. They speak in a dark, grumpy rasp. Their skin on their face is burnt severely from acid back around the 25th Hunger Games when the Celestians revolted. When it comes to public meetings, they always wear a three-piece suit with a white undershirt and a necktie representative of their status within the Celestian community, as well as a scarlet sash. They have a very odd sense of fashion. However, when they have no energy and feel like they cannot function, they will wear black baggy sweatpants and a tank-top, assuming that they're in a place where it is safe to show their tattoos. The tattoos that line their body from head to toe, like most traditional Celestians, are black and minimalistic, but most notably, as it is the first tattoos any Celestian gets, their right shoulder is tattooed with the symbol for Justice, and the left shoulder with Pride. The other tattoos covering their body show their first promotion, promotion to Head Distributor, the marriage of their first wife, the loss of their first wife, and more.

history » Aeron grew up in a shifting world, born to Calliope Filtch and Oedipus Filtch just after Panem was established. They grew up all their life until the age of 19 being open about their religion, even though it earned strange looks and sometimes crude harrassment, but nothing of the sort that they would face later in life. They, like most Celestian children that couldn't afford school, were taught by the people within the church and grew up to be a rather intelligent person.

Around middle school age, they met Marnie Alvo, a girl that they swore they would marry. In fact, they told her this in their introduction, which, thankfully, she thought was humorous. After many years of being friends and actually growing closer, the two actually did marry when Aeron turned 18, right after the 24th Hunger Games concluded. With the sealing of that marriage to the person they'd grown to love, their world began to rapidly change. Seneca Arviox was elected into the Cabinet, and the Celestians planned their revolt against the Capitol to take it out when the 25th Quarter Quell was announced. They all revolted against the Capitol building together, but so many people were hurt and killed. A PeaceKeeper threw a vat of Capitol-grade acid on their face and chest, permanently scarring them before they could get away.

Weeks later, suddenly they found themselves thrown out of their apartment and into a pile of similar people. They pulled Marnie out by her hair, and before Aeron knew it, they heard the standard issue PeaceKeeper pistol fire. Marnie's body crumpled to the ground, and more bodies around hers as people were checked for tattoos and then shot. They screamed louder than it fired, and fled into the streets and into the slums as soon as they were able to overpower the PeaceKeeper and run. Later that day, they found out that the Celestian religion had been made illegal with the turn of their revolt, and their entire world changed. Now they had to hide, and smuggle things and people.

They built Düsterhaus out of an old high-rise Hotel and Theatre in the slums, turning it into a safe haven for Celestians hiding from the Government. Now they live with several others, hiding hundreds of millions of copies of illegal media and running illegal shows in the theatre for Celestians or Capitol citizens that one of their friends might trust. They were promoted to Head Distributor, and they take their position very seriously.

history » Valentina Boulilis was born to Egina Boulilis and Heliodora Boulilis, a lesbian couple in the rich part of the Capitol famous for Boulilis' Jewelry, a Jewelry shop that they ran together. With the help of Capitol technology, they were able to have a child together. Val grew up in a loving, kind home that helped neighbors and went to high end parties as well as making wonders out of their business. Valentina grew up in an expensive private school, choosing to go into design and be trained in it from a young age.

When she went into high school, she studied futuristic styles, and when she went to university, she studied Cyberpunk extensively. It was only when she finally scored the Interview with Almar Heire and got the position as District Three Stylist with her extensive studies of futuristic styles that she really started to shine, though. She bought a high-rise apartment in the heart of the Capitol and got a hognose snake that she named after her high school friend, Padra, that ended up going into politics.

When she finally started getting good at the job, she figured out that she loved it. She loved the kids, and loved trying to raise them as the children she never had because no one wanted to stay around. She took in each one, trying her best to help them through the Games and live. When her first Tribute made it, she took them in for a while afterward, helping them stay away from the public to heal. And after they were ready to return to the world, they picked her tattoo on her arm. She rewarded herself for each Tribute that lived by getting a new houseplant. She has more now than her tributes that lived, but the ones representing them are her favorites.

Thomas Kane was her first bitter Tribute. When she tried to mother him, he fought back, calling her annoying and pushing her away. One time, he even called her a 'brainless ditz'. They constantly fought, but Val refused to let up with her aggressive mothering. She made sure all of his outfits were the absolute best she'd ever created, she pulled sponsors herself, arguing for his intelligence and wit, and when he won, she bought three house plants. He finally accepted her and understood what she was trying to do and quit pushing her away. Slowly, though, he's worn off on her, too, and she's starting to see that the Games and the Capitol aren't all they're cracked up to be.

appearance » Seneca is an extremely short man due to a genetics error he had when the technology first came out and his parents had his eyes altered to red. This stunted his growth and he only grew to 4'6'', and he weighs around 140lbs. Surprisingly, he's really strong and has a stocky build despite his short height. His eyes are a genetically altered red, and his hair is a natural sleek black. He keeps it parted at the side and swept neatly in both directions. He's never seen without a Presidential Cabinet black three-piece suit, either. In his own home, he might wear button up shirts and dress slacks, but he almost exclusively owns formal clothes. Despite his small size, he gives off one of the most intimidating vibes.

history » Seneca Arviox was born to Mikhail Arviox and Valencia Harrows-Arviox, two people that lived through the war that ended up establishing the Hunger Games in the first place. They hated the Districts with a passion, and Seneca was immediately groomed from birth to be an executioner. His parents risked experimental genetics editing on him to alter his eyes, but it ended up stunting his growth in the end. They even sent him to a school specifically designed for children to become PeaceKeepers or Justice Officials as a kid.

Though his childhood was rather uneventful other than selling illegal goods in bathrooms and easily claiming class President every year, Seneca fell in love for the first time in college. Her name was Amarantha Alvo, and he fell head over heels for the bombshell beauty with gorgeous, flowing black hair and beautiful blue eyes. But for the first time in his life, Seneca was denied something. Amarantha knew his hatred for Anti-Capitol propaganda, and she was hiding her Celestian hertiage to go to college on a scholarship. He had no idea. She rejected him harshly, telling him that no one would love someone so cruel and foreboding to an entire culture of people. He got away with arson of her dorm with her in it.

After he graduated Valedictorian of his class, Seneca decided to pursue what he wanted to do with his life because he wanted to fix his height issue- genetic engineering. He could recreate the love of his life with Capitol technology, and he intended to do so. However, he didn't understand any of the machines or anything because he majored in politics, war, and PeaceKeeping. He only made it because of a found friend, Cuvier Shields, who was Salutatorian and majored in the field the job called for. He made friends and built him up before finally dropping the bombshell- he wanted to recreate a human with Capitol mutant technology. Cuvier refused, panicking and leaving the job immediately, with their fake friendship left behind in ruins. He was so close.

He found another woman, though, very similar in appearance, named Charlotte Lewellen after that. He treated her like a queen when he dated her, often spending thousands of dollars in one night after his Cabinet appointment. Flattered and feeling like she was really loved, Charlotte agreed to marry him. Now that Seneca has her, the new has worn off and he's grown tired, still craving Amarantha instead. So, Charlotte is secluded from everyone and not allowed to leave their estate lest chaos ensue. He's trying everything in his power to learn how to use the machines the correct way so he can make a functioning human being.

Now, he's after the Training Center staff after he found out that one of his execution victims was framed, and he knows someone in the Training Center did it. He's planning on using any blackmail he can get to get Cuvier to help him again.

history » Gabrielle was born to a single mother in the Duserhaus Community, and she grew up with her mother giving her a set of rules. She told her to never let anyone put her down, always believe in herself first, never trust anyone, and people exist to make your situation better. Normally, these things would be huge flags to anyone raising a child, but when it comes to the rough area of the Slums, most of those rules actually made sense.

She grew up practicing the religion of Celestianism, but never really believing it. She received her vice and virtue tattoos at 16, and she kept her name. Growing up, she was always jealous of a boy named Jacob Halloway. He was born of two women, one of them trans, and so the cult she lived in immediately believed that with his birth meant the start of a new revolution. Do you know what it's like to grow up next to a prophecy child? It's awful. She hated everything he had, from the rusted, old crown Aeron granted him to the name change of Ciccro Jenkins that he made on his 16 birthday ceremony.

Of course, she would never let him know that. She instead played on her best behavior and earned his trust, and the two were dating by the age of 20. At first, she treated him like the King everyone else did, adoring him and fawning over him, but then he pulled the ultimate move that sealed her hatred for him. He left the Dusterhaus Community, admitting that he really didn't believe he could be some revolutionary leader or heir to anything, and he gave up all his fame and adoration. He gave up everything she ever wanted in her life.

So, it started small. She gaslit him for small things, she made him question his own memories and thought processes that she knew he already struggled with because of the genetics tests, but she continued to make his life hell. They've dated on and off ever since she got her job as a secretary at the Training Center and renounced Celestianism, but she only gets more and more cruel and better and better at hiding it. Her ultimate goal is to make her way to the top, either by marriage or by manipulation.

history » Nieve Pulvil was born as Wendy Delacroix to Marisol Delacroix and Dranrek Delacroix, a wealthy political family from District Two. His father Dranrek served on the Presidential Cabinet as the Head of Districts. Nieve never worried about the reaping as a child, and as a teenager came out as Wendyl Delacroix. At the age of fourteen, around the time of the 25th Hunger Games, he was drug into a huge political scandal when PeaceKeepers stormed his house and drug his family into the streets. Dranrek was drug to the Justice Center with a rope around his neck and his hands bound, screaming in the streets while his family followed in manacles.

When they made it to the steps of the Justice Building, PeaceKeepers brought boxes upon boxes of now-illegal propoganda and dumped box upon box of the books onto his father's restrained body before they doused everything in gasoline and set him aflame, Marisol, Nieve, and his little sister Liyenne watching. It was that day, he says, that he discovered he could talk to ghosts. He woke up haunted by his father's ghost, begging him to continue to redistribute whatever books the PeaceKeepers couldn't find and continue the fight, for what, Nieve didn't understand. He scoured the house, though, checking his father's favorite hiding places and finding a few that had been missed. He squirreled them away until he could figure out what he needed to do with them, trying to ignore the insistent, pounding voice of his father urging him to get the books into the hands of the fight.

At the age of eighteen, he changed his name to Nieve Pulvil, a name from one of the books his father hoarded in order to distance himself from the infamous rumors of a 'Delacroix curse' that they all seemed helpless to avoid. His sister, Liyenne, volunteered in the 29th Hunger Games that year, trying to get away from the family, too, just after their mother committed suicide and Nieve became Liyenne's legal guardian. He didn't get to have that joy for long, though, as the Delacroix curse got to her, too. She died brutally in the Games, with her throat torn out by another opponent and a sword through her chest. He slowly started to believe the rumors about the curse, and now exclusively referred to himself as Nieve Pulvil, since he was the only surviving Delacroix.

In the year of the 29th Hunger Games, he met a woman named Hatina Barr, and married her a year later in the 31st. Their relationship didn't last long, as he didn't know it but his name attracts Celestians like a super magnet since it's from one of their tomes. She, a Celestian woman, vanished not too long after their marriage. Eventually, she was declared missing and dead, making Nieve a widow in her wake. He still hopes she might be out there somewhere, because even though he wasn't attracted to her, he honestly missed her and cared for her a lot. Unknowing that it was not normal to not be intensely attracted to your partner, when Nieve entered the PeaceKeeping community, he had quite a few affairs with a lot of people, thinking that this was normal to just feel... no attraction to women at all. He gained a reputation for being quite promiscuous in his home District, and had to move to the Capitol with his promotion for a while to get away from the chatting mouths. This was especially apparent with Incavi Ledgier, the mayor of District Two and a married woman at the time.

He met Cassimola Lebolas, a firey Capitol bombshell with hell to raise in the 30th Hunger Games' year. He made her feel... something, at least, but what he didn't know was that was just fear. She married him within months of meeting him, and they moved back to District Two, much to Cass's demise, because he felt that now he had 'settled down again' that the rumors would stop. They had Dante Keiran Pulvil in that same year, a small girl just as firey as her mother that Nieve didn't want to have at first. Oh, but he really did love that child after she was born. He raised her as best he could in the oncoming years, dealing with Cass' abuse and cruelty while also trying to protect his daughter and save face with his job.

Meanwhile, he loved his coworkers and got to know them very well. He met Xylix Sephtus and Lucius Vaughn first, two PeaceKeeping officers around his age in his sector, and the three became very good friends, especially Nieve and Lucius. All three of them, on the year of the 47th, transferred to the Capitol. He met Rubicon Daedra the year of the 43rd, snooping around a PeaceKeeping Training session at the Justice Center at the age of 8. He had to report her to save his own reputation, though she didn't get much reprimand other than a slap on the wrist, thankfully.

He couldn't see straight with anger and grief when Dante volunteered for the 45th Games at the age of fifteen. He allowed her to attend the Academy only because Cass wouldn't have had it any other way. Dante was her child, and by Panem, she was going to come home and bring their family glory. Nieve went into a blind panic, and he got into a fight with Cass that the entire neighborhood heard. Things were broken, people were hurt, and both he and Cass walked away from the altercation with really bad wounds. They divorced shortly after, causing Dante to worry more about the divorce than the Games, and she died at the hands of another Tribute. He lost the one person that meant everything to him, and it hurt him so much.

He really bonded with Rubi, then. She found him beat up after fighting his wife, crying and desolate on the street with only his books and no more armor to make him look terrifying. He offered her one of the smaller books, and they talked of ghosts and specters and forbidden knowledge. He gained an adopted, honorary daughter that night that he continued to help and bond with, even though her parents didn't approve of the 'town whore and lunatic' hanging around their daughter.

Now, single again and roaming both District Two as Head PeaceKeeper due to his efficiency in taking down, recovering, and subduing particularly delusional Victors, citizens, and the like, he's still looking for the 'fight' his father's ghost keeps insisting about. He despises the Training Center every year because he has to help run everything, and it seems like there's so many more restless souls there than anywhere else. Thankfully, he's never been to an Arena.

history » Odius was born to Alector and Nephele of District 13 in a pre-Games world, but not pre-Panem. All of the citizens in the Districts, including his parents, tried their best to organize a revolution with District 13 as its leader, and because of this, he's always had a pretty rebellious, vicious soul. The only reason he and his parents survived is because they were shipped out to District 6 to start out the revolution. If they would have been in their home overnight, they would have lost their lives along with the rest of 13 when the Capitol bombed them. He was 9 when this happened, and he grew up the next three years watching as his parents tried to struggle in a war that they couldn't win until the Capitol finally pushed the citizens back into submission.

He was 12 when Panem restabilized and from the ashes reborn, it proposed the Hunger Games to keep the Districts in line and remind them why they lost. Odie, an only child, instantly feared for his safety as his family was relocated and registered to District 6 as citizens. After all, they lost everything in the war with District 13's destruction, so Odie had to take as much tesserae as he could in order to feed them, let alone anything else. It finally became his demise the 6th year that the Games aired, right as he turned 18 and only one year before he became exempt, as he was one of the most frequent tesserae takers in the District. His parents cried, pleaded, and bribed, but nothing could be done. He was shipped to the Capitol on a Train, leaving behind several girls that wanted to date him in his wake.

The thing is, you have a few tricks up your sleeve when your papa was a war general and hated the Capitol.

He went into the Games with his head held high and teeth bared. Many people feared him, even though he generally wasn't a cruel person at all. Quite on the contrary, the person he showed for the Games was fueled by one thing and one thing only- his hatred for the Capitol. He wanted to get in, win, and take it down from the inside.

He earned the name 'Ignatius' by Capitol Citizens because where ever he went, fire and destruction followed. Most of his Training, the boy had to be secluded and restrained for destroying Capitol property and burning things down to the ground. He tried to kill one of the Training Staff, even, which earned him a sedation until Private Sessions.

As soon as they let him loose in the Training Hall for Private Sessions, he took gallons of rubbing alcohol found in the survival station to douse the place, expertly burning everything he could and expertly leaving the room without being burned. The GameMakers gave him an 11 for the Sessions, but had to delay the rest of the Sessions by a day so they could replace and redo everything he destroyed for the next Tributes to show their skills. They wanted nothing more than to have him dead.

The Arena was the Capitol Arena, as all the Games from 1-10 were hosted in what was essentially a Gladiator's Stadium in the actual Capitol. It was only after the 10th Games that the Capitol branched out to make the Games more entertaining and less just execution-like. He was able to win with a viciously sharp scimitar, being able to just barely make it out. He still has quite a few long, running scars covering his body from wounds in the Games.

After he got out, Odie took to the streets with his fire. Immediately before the Victory tour, he began trashing things, and to punish him for all of his rebelliousness, the Capitol sedated him and worked on him. When he awoke, his vocal chords were gone, just like that of an Avox, and he had trouble sometimes remembering the simplest of things, especially now about District 13 or the War.

After that, he mellowed out, sedated by constant Capitol medicine administered through an unremovable watch-like device on his right wrist. Despite this, he's still somewhat snarky, but a side effect of the medicine used to keep him dull and non-violent can sometimes backfire, sending him into a massive hallucination episode in which he might hurt someone. Because of this, over the years the Capitol has supplied him with a large, strong service dog capable of subduing him should anything go wrong. Right now, this is a large, loveable St. Bernard named Sumo.

His eyes are a dark brown, almost black, and his raven colored hair is coiled into dreadlocks that he keeps pinned out of his face. His facial hair is well-trimmed and neat at all times, and he tends to make sure he always looks presentable. His tattoos that he hides as a Celestian cover his body, with his vice and virtue tattoos being Lust and Humility, and others being about any of the other stories of his past lovers and glorious battle escapades. history » Orson was born on the year of the 18th Hunger Games to Lucretia Varrde and Andreus Varrde in District Four, two old Celestians that no longer believed in their God Celese, or at least believed She wasn't a good enough one, but they still practiced the traditions and believed in possible revolution. His parents were two Capitol citizens relocated to District Four as punishment for 'severe crimes against the Capitol'. Therefore, he grew up as a different Celestian than most. He got all of the propaganda and revolution, but not any of the spirituality.

He figured his ballots were stuffed when he was reaped for the 35th Hunger Games and no one volunteered in a Career District in order to punish his parents and whatever heinous act they were responsible for, but Orson didn't mind too much. He'd spent a lot of his life after school swimming, building his strength, and training for his own personal defense, and now he intended to put that and his intelligence to use. His parents gave him his vice and virtue tattoos then, along with one to symbolize his journey into the Games.

Orson never really made a name for himself in his Games, instead slipping in under the radar and appearing average to everyone around so that he would be overlooked and he could work in the background. He said average things in the Interviews, preformed average in Private Sessions, and laid low around other Tributes. He only joined the Careers because he and they both felt obligated considering his District and not as easy to conceal muscle.

When he got into the Arena, he took to making it lethal for the people around him. His arena in the 35th consisted of the ruins of a city, and he used every inch of it to his advantage. Falling gargoyles? There goes the girl from 8. Pre-dug sink traps? District 5 duo got caught together, and he took a scimitar to their exposed throats. He continued this to the point that the Careers attacked him, afraid that they would be next, and how right they were. Barely escaping from a lethal brush with the remaining Careers, Orson managed to trap them in one of the old jails and pick them off with a crossbow.

When he got out of the Arena, Orson went immediately into Mentoring because the person before him was almost going to turn 15. He took over until he turned 27 and someone else from District Four stepped up to take the Mentorship position. Then, he went home, enjoying his time in Victor's Village despite the fact that Snow wanted to use him as a rented plaything to a lot of Capitol Citizens. The calm of District Four brought him back to his roots, and he returned to his parents, giving them everything they could have ever wanted. They celebrated by listening to Orson's tales and then illustrating them on his body. But, as with everything, home began to bore him again.

He returned to the Capitol at the age of 29 to pursue psychology and go back into the Mentorship job when the previous one quit, leaving him with the bill again. It was only two weeks before the beginning of the 49th Hunger Games, though, that he met Ansel Kramer.

The two met in The Arrow's Split penthouse on a night where it seemed like no one was around, as Ansel had been sent by Seneca Arviox to snoop on Orson and his possible Celestian origins. Orson had already spent the night drinking way too much in preparation for the Reaping, and Ansel arrived sober. The two spoke at first from a quaint, private booth where Orson insulted Ansel and chewed him out for asking such personal questions. The argument escalated when they both began screaming, inches away from each other's face, and terrifying the poor bartender.

It was then that Orson noticed the intense heat in the married man's face, and decided to take advantage of the situation in order to save his ass. He flirted, and he flirted harder than he ever had before. The discussion turned into firece, angry, and yet curious whispers as they left the bar, instead opting for a hotel with liquor that could be delivered to the room. Orson got drunker, and Ansel joined in. The two got to know each other pretty intimately that night, and even though Ansel saw every one of Orson's tattoos, he told Seneca that he was in the clear.

Neither of them know if anyone saw them throughout the night, either.

history » Sibyl was born to Latona and Caenis Watson in the Dusterhaus Community, and she lived an extremely poor but happy life. She grew up with best friends Rena and Ciccro for the majority of her childhood, but Sibyl fell out of believing in Celese at a young age. She still loved her community and the way they did most things, but she didn't grow up believing in Celese,

In order to earn enough money to keep the family afloat, Caenis often signed Sibyl up for genetic experimentation so that Capitol technology could further develop. Unfortunately, many Celestians sign up for this job because no one else will take it, and the doctors are generous enough not to out their guinea pigs. This brought in more than enough for them to live on, but they then found as Sibyl hit the ages of thirteen and fourteen that a lot of the testing messed with her. She had trouble breathing normal air, resulting in a custom mask needing to be worn at all times, and her senses were overamplified. Because of this, she grew up with a lot of issues, but studied anything and everything she could get her hands on.

Ciccro was the same way, and so the two always had a mutual understanding of what it was like to go through all of the issues of testing. He ended up suffering from severe memory loss and occassional spotted memory that's better on some days, as well as a lack of the ability to feel any pain. Some of the testing just complete shut down the warning center in his brain for pain. Instead, it just felt like an intense touch.

With a gifted contraband laptop given to her by Aeron, Sibyl used some of her testing money to enroll in classes in Genetic Engineering, secretly hoping that she could fix herself, and with Aeron's help, she graduated at 19 with a prestigious degree. She applied to the Training Center to make mutants, praying that she could leave her days of being the guinea pig behind her. She married Rena, her longtime girlfriend from the age of 15, soon after, and took in Ciccro, who couldn't take care of himself with his degrading mind. She finally got the job, but when she arrived, all of the staff was startled to see a young adult staring back at them. They thought he person holding the degree was much older.

Regardless, she was welcomed onboard, and she did a fantastic job, slowly climbing up the ranks until she made it to the top of her Department. She finally felt proud, knowing that she could provide for her family, and now all she had to do was keep her secret.

When she was 22, she took on a new medic named Seth and slowly, she adopted him somewhat into her small family, too. After all, she already took care of Ciccro. However, she never had to take care of Seth other than patching him up after his frequent fights, and to be honest, Sibyl much preffered the needle and thread to trying to pull Ciccro in out of a snowstorm because he decided he wanted to freeze to death that particular day. Now, four years later, she maintains her position and respect with the other people in her department.

She believed in the religion, and still does to this day, but never got any more tattoos other than her vice and virtue ones because of the fear of getting caught, especially after what happened with her mother.

She began dating Sibyl as a teenager and married her around age 20, when Sibyl was 19. It was when he was nine and his father was executed at his job being a power plant employee when his shirt ripped and showed his tattoos that everyone realized he would be a Celestian prophet. He confided in Providence that he could see a crystalline fox speaking to him, telling him everything about the possible future and how to prepare.

He called his muse Morgana, and continued to grow up parentless but yet loved as part of the Dusterhaus community. He now warns them of events and is always consulted before the community makes any decisions in order to interpret what his prophecies might mean.

history » Ciccro was born to Thisbe and Chryseis Halloway as Jacob Halloway, the first Celestian to be born of two women in the longest time. He grew up at first just like a normal kid, but when he hit around the age of 10 and began to doubt the religion publicly, the Community around him declared him the Heir to Celese's power because of his parents, but also because of the recent outlaw against their religion. He didn't want anything to do with it, but being a little kid that loved attention, he accepted this as his new life while he lived in the Community with Rena, Sibyl, and Gabrielle as his closest friends and watched while the community worshipped him.

The only problem was, like Sibyl's family and their need to also raise Rena, his family was broke. They sold him for genetic testing to further Capitol technology, and he received a bit worse on the side effects than Sibyl. He forgot many things from his childhood and even forgot common things, such as how to tie his shoes, and even how to read. The boy now can only recognize and write his name, all other words looking foreign as if he were reading a different language. He also lost all sensations of pain, instead feeling it as just a hard pressing feeling. In addition, it turned his hair blonde and his eyes blue from their original brown.

At 16, he tried to get away from the 'Heir' role by changing his name to Ciccro Jenkins, a name amalgamated from the stories that Sibyl would read him at night (Cyrano de Bergerac, misspelled Ciccro, and Jenkins after Howl Jenkins Pendragon). This was shot down immediately when his mothers tattooed the crown in between his shoulder blades, marking him with the symbol of heir and his vice and virtue tattoos, Kindness and Pride.

Ciccro left the compound with Sibyl and Rena when they married and Sibyl graduated high school, telling everyone that he couldn't be their heir. He took his games and Maisie, the terrier given to him for his 10th birthday. Now he lives with Sibyl and Rena in a small, cramped room that he loves with his dog and works at the Training Center, trying to keep his mind on track.

history » Johnathan Simmons was born the second son to single mother and Victor of the 18th Hunger Games, Andrea Simmons on the year of the 31st Hunger Games. Just like his elder brother Joshua and younger sister Dimitri, he never knew his father, and they never talked about him, either. As far as his mother was concerned, all of her children were born of her and only her, but she never talked about the Capitol men's solicitation required of her, either.

He grew up despising school and dropped out to go into the Tribute Academy when he learned that his brother did that instead of high school, excited to get away from book reports and algebra tests. Plus, he liked working out anyway, so training physically always made him happy. He loved the Tribute Academy not because he actually intended to ever go into the Games, but rather because he loved being away from school. He was rather popular with the ladies, too, and had everything he could ever want.

Joshua volunteered for the 48th Hunger Games, but died very late-Game in the final few despite his insanely high Academy scores that year. It hurt Johnathan and Dimitri both to see him go, but they both knew it was what he wanted. He always wanted to try and bring honor and glory to his mother's legacy.

It was only this previous summer that things got bad. One of the Training Center staff came up missing after Johnathan accidentally injured them in a knife-throwing tutorial. He hadn't meant to, and even accompanied the staff member to get healed that day. After they disappeared, though, Johnathan was blamed for their death. He only got off on lack of evidence, as investigation crews could find nothing other than the original injury against him.

Someone paid good money to get his scores tweaked to top scores and ballots stuffed to get him reaped for the 49th Games. When he found out, he believed it was a typo or accident, but when he finds out otherwise, he's going to struggle to find evidence of being framed.

history » Atticus was born as Alice Elizabeth Kramer to the Kramer political family, Jacqueline and Ulysses Kramer of District 2. He grew up in a household where he wanted for nothing and enjoyed the finer things in life, especially for the Districts. The only thing he did like about the Capitol was when his parents would take him to see his uncle Ansel Kramer, an Official in the Capitol, and his wife, Guinevere. Whenever these trips would occur, he would usually get lavish gifts from Ansel and his wife, and was treated like a Prince because they had yet to have any children of their own. He came out as Atticus around the age of 12.

It was only when he turned 15 that he realized how shitty the world and the Games really were, and he began to resent his family and the Capitol. He started to break in with the other teenagers in the basement of the Training Academy even though he went to high school instead. He got to know the kids there, their stories, and made friends, slowly despising the Capitol as the kids with their contraband enjoyed each other's company. Within this space, he referred to himself as Atlas so that he wouldn't be traced back to his family.

He volunteered the year of the 49th because his parents finally caught him for the last time and told him they were going to send him to live in the Capitol with his Uncle Ansel so he could be straightened out into a proper young man. In a fit of anger and terror at the thought of moving to the Capitol, he volunteered.

His eyes are a dark, almost black, mix of brown, and primarily green. He hides them behind wide-framed white glasses. His skin dry but not rough, and he keeps his sharp jawline clean-shaven. He generally can't stand stubble. He usually wears a nice, clean white and gold three-piece suit.

weaknesses » He gets really emotional when he's called out, he always defends himself as if he was explicitly in the right or that he 'had to do it' for the 'greater good' even if he really did it for a selfish reason. He can accidentally emotionally distance himself without meaning to.
history » Ansel Gershwin Kramer was born to Lawrence Sire Kramer and Victoria Justice Driverdale-Kramer in the Capitol on the year of the 13th Hunger Games, and his father was the Head of Interior. He grew up in a household that should have been free of want for anything, but unfortunately, Ulysses didn't give Ansel anything other than what was needed to keep him comfortably alive because he didn't feel like he 'earned it' Ansel spent most of his life trying to earn love, support, and respect from his parents that he is still trying to get to this day. He went to school in new clothes, ate three meals a day, and slept in a comfortable bed. He had nothing to complain about except for the things that his father kept under lock and key. Ansel survived several years of abuse from his father starting at age 14 until he moved out, as well as both parents contributing to a mentally abusive environment. Because of this, Ansel sometimes has trouble discerning what is abusive behavior, but he's working on it really hard. He knows for sure that anything physical is morally wrong.

He left home immediately upon graduation high school. Not long after, at 20 and the year of the 33rd, he married Guinevere, a Capitol woman and his ticket to law school. His father refused to pay for it. He cares not for her, but he acts like he does. They seem so loving on the surface that anyone, even Guinevere, generally believes that they're extremely in love aside from the small, tiny things that he overlooks while he's practicing his fake balancing act. They had Clymere together the year of the 35th, when he was 22. He finished law school at 30 and received his appointment to the Cabinet at 31 when his father retired (much to his father's protest). Over the next few years, he established himself as the most prominent, most successful Capitol lawyer in the history books. He maintains the image of a perfect, pristine life to impress the Capitol and maintain his political image.

Jacqueline moved to District 2 with her husband Ulysses, eager to get away from her brother, whom she hated. Jacqueline was always his parent's favorite growing up, and she got everything she wanted because she was their princess, and the baby. She grew up often blaming her antics on Ansel and getting away with it while he got punished. Now, they have a child, Atticus, whom he ocassionally sees and spoils.

Two weeks before the start of the 49th, however, Seneca Arviox tasked him with trailing Victor Orson Varrde on counts of Celestianism. The thing is, he wasn't expecting the other man to be that handsome or alluring. When they began chatting, Orson's flirting turned to frustration and embarrassment, which turned into a fight, and then turned into them leaving together, so drunk that they could barely walk. They don't know yet if anyone saw them, but haven't met up again other than estranged text messages.

He wears an old style of glasses, wire-framed and large. He has an alluring, warm smile that comforts almost anyone that sees it. His soft features, like a giant bear, really makes him seem like a passive, good force. He fought so hard over the years to seem likable that he actually became quite more likable and soft than he was in the beginning. He wears soft, comfortable, and yet formal clothes to all events, with traditional Capitol accents rather than entirely blown-out-of-proportion Capitol suits. He'll wear an interesting set of earrings here, a eccentric brooch there, or some gold eyeliner and matching cufflinks. Meanwhile, the rest of his clothes stayed in neutral colors and styles. Ironically, it makes the accent pieces stick out that much more. He's roughly 6'3'' and 210lbs.

history » Morgan was born pre-Games into Panem, nineteen years before The First Rebellion to Melanie Arlan Morrow and Menster Morrow of the Capitol. He lived in Panem as a rich college boy with a full-expense paid trip when the war broke out. He dodged the war because his parents devoted loads of their money and resources to it, and resources to the Capitol in The First Rebellion were hard to come by. Considering the Capitol mainly imports things from the Districts, it took struggling Loyalists in the Districts risking to be traitors in order to sneak supplies in to the Capitol.

He spent most of the war hiding with other Capitol citizens considering his father's political importance as the Department of Treasury pre-Games. He emerged one of the leaders of the Capitol, five years later, with his father alive and in the ruling pool of left over Capitol citizens after the Capitol took out District 13 and managed to overwhelm the other Districts as a result. He finished out his college years with a dual major in Psychology and Political Science, and when his father retired, he immediately took the position on the Cabinet offered in his place. Most citizens considered him mean and arrogant.

He met Amelia Blake his fifth year of being a Cabinet member, that is, when he was 34. He tried his best to court her, but the infamous player throughout the Capitol elite couldn't get the GameMaker to pay him any attention no matter what he tried. Finally, on one of his many attempts, Amelia agreed to date him on one condition- if he would try to change for her. She claimed that if he really wanted her, that he would try to settle down, reinvent his mean streak into a helpful one, and that he would quit being so murderous around Capitol circles. He managed to do two out of three.

Morgan settled down and committed himself to her entirely, keeping her company, being romantic, taking her out on dates, and absolutely doting on her. Three years into their relationship, Amelia became Assistant Head GameMaker. Meanwhile, he eliminated every single threat to her success without ever being caught by anyone or telling a soul- including her. She never found out. Though, over time, she genuinely did help bring out his good side. He became kinder, softer, more helpful, and sweet. However, he could never shake the streak of killing anyone that might threaten him, his wife, or his friends and allies.

They married five years into their relationship, two years after she became Assistant Head GameMaker. Morgan made sure that the person in her way died so she would be promoted, and two years later, Amelia Morrow became Head GameMaker. He relished in it, giving his wife that he adored anything she wanted. He doted on her all the time, and made sure anyone that stood in her way or threatened them ended up dead by 'accident'. He became an Assistant Head GameMaker soon after.

They realized a year in that Amelia couldn't carry children. Both of them were devestated, but especially Morgan, who always wanted kids and adored them dearly. They decided instead to devote their life to the social world around them, throwing lavish Capitol parties and falling in love over and over again with each other.

They met Cuvier went he arrived in the Genetics Department job, and Morgan bonded with him pretty well, offering him a spot of Rookie GameMaker and considering him a son after a few years. He trusted him so much that he called him on a few of his clean-ups when he got into a bad spot, and he taught Cuvier how to expertly get away with what he did, guiding him into a life just as he had- keeping your toes on the top perch.

It was when Seneca arrested his wife that his life really changed just this past year. He came in, claiming that Amelia had murdered another GameMaker below her that wanted her position in cold blood. In reality, Cuvier did it, but no one knows. She was arrested and executed by being doused in gasoline and thrown a match. She was burned to death in a silk dress, with all the other GameMakers and Training Center staff forced to watch as a 'lesson' to what might happen should they try something similar. This included Morgan, who threw the biggest fit, having to be restrained and sedated by five PeaceKeepers as he tried to get to her to save her.

Now, he's missing her presence more than ever, but congratulates his best friend Cuvier on his promotion.

There are millions upon millions of rumors based upon why he lives in the Training Center year round, continues to be a recluse, and how he stays so young.

If he takes his eyepatch off, you can tell that he's wearing contacts because his pupil is white on the blind, injured eye. His hair is dyed blonde and shaved on the sides, with the hair on the top of his head being longer. Occasionally, he'll let the sides remain their natural black color, but he always keeps the top bleached. He usually wears three-piece thrifted suits. His vice and virtue tattoos are Envy and Temperance, and like Aeron, he's tattooed from head to toe with the events from his life.

Everything exploded when the Capitol released their outlaw of Celestians in his neighborhood, and Kyros found himself trying to escape the slaughter as his neighborhood is one that was attacked first. He met Aeron a week later, starving and hollow on the street as he was about to die. Aeron gave him some food, and invited him to Dusterhaus, where they both live today. Kyros is forever grateful, but the happy looks he gives the oblivious, grumpy Aeron hold more than that.

He has pretty golden contacts, one covering a normal dark brown eye, and the other covers a blind eye, where a scar runs up across his face. If he takes his eyepatch off, you can tell that he's wearing contacts because his pupil is white on the blind, injured eye. His hair is dyed blonde and shaved on the sides, with the hair on the top of his head being longer. Occasionally, he'll let the sides remain their natural black color, but he always keeps the top bleached. He usually wears three-piece thrifted suits. His vice and virtue tattoos are Envy and Temperance, and like Aeron, he's tattooed from head to toe with the events from his life.

history » Kyros was born to a Celestian couple that raised him well, right around the time of the first Hunger Games in the slums of the Capitol, quiet and alone. He lived with his parents, forced to stay away from the outside world, until the age of 18, when he ran away to finally get a taste of the outside world. He hated it. Though he would still be starving and clawing for his next meal either way, Kyros much preferred the company of his family and considered going back to them. When he was 24, all hell broke loose.

Everything exploded when the Capitol released their outlaw of Celestians in his neighborhood, and Kyros found himself trying to escape the slaughter as his neighborhood is one that was attacked first. He met Aeron a week later, starving and hollow on the street as he was about to die. Aeron gave him some food, and invited him to Dusterhaus, where they both live today. Kyros is forever grateful, but the happy looks he gives the oblivious, grumpy Aeron hold more than that.
