Realistic or Modern Visindi University- A Place For Demigods

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Visindi University. Here at Visindi University, we offer a comprehensive learning experience designed to both stimulate your academic growth, and to allow you to harness your newfound abilities. Our facilities include academic halls staffed by some of the most brilliant professors on the planet, as well as experts in understanding and channeling various unique abilities. We also have training facilities of varying environments to test your skills, as well as athletic facilities. Go Valkyries!

As stated in our brochure, we have our own, private funding. As such, we are pleased to offer you a full scholarship to our university. For those wishing to focus on a more mundane career, all of our classes are accredited and we partner with a local university to provide courses designed for the mortal world. As always, your discretion is appreciated. Any questions may be directed towards me or my professors. Any specialty teachers will do their best to answer any questions about their programs.

Welcome to Visindi University. Here you will embrace and use your talents as you see fit. As the children of various gods, you are special and need a place where you can express the true strength of your inherited powers without limit or judgement. At eighteen years old, you discovered your gift from the deity who helped to create you. Each of you have powers from your godly parent. Here you will trained control, because it was only when you turned eighteen that your powers came into their full level, though you have struggled for years to handle the minor powers that came with your power.

Rules of the RP:
You will be eighteen year old freshman.
You will be learning to handle your powers.
You can choose any god or goddess in the world to be your character's parent.

Just because I'm not familiar, doesn't mean a god or goddess is banned. All I ask is you let me have a bit of time to study them.

Do the mortals of the world acknowledge the historical gods as a whole? Do they know that demigods walk among them,even if they have never witnessed one? Indeed,have prior demigods been publically seen exercising their power?

And if not,are those faiths at least more prevalent than they are in our world? Are there sizable congregations of people who worship the Netjeru or the Tuatha De,for example? Such that you can reasonably find places of worship or pertinent scriptures in most countries.

The mortals of the world are similar to those we know now. Belief is a power, and most gods are fairly starved, though some are enhanced by small pockets of believers. Most tend to feel slighted, but any of the gods and godesses have at least a small contingent worshipping them.

Actually, while there will be slice of life things and maybe romance, I have several conflict situations planned for the start. But if players move the narrative elsewhere, I can happily adapt.

I'm interested! I do have questions, though. What about characters having language barriers, since there are gods worshipped across the world? Or, since the mortals are like us in the real world, would the demigod children's powers be stronger/weaker if their god is more or less known/worshipped?

Well, there is magic in this world, so a Universal Translation spell is in effect. Students can of course make a conscious decision to keep their native tongue untranslated if they please. As for gods that may be less worshipped, I will say this: everyone startong out has weakened powers, but for those deities who may be lesser known, there are opportunities aplenty to increase their strength. Also, I am currently working on the CS, so we might start sooner rather than later.

It is hidden. You are sent a letter as soon as tou awaken. Arabella has some regard, though not a huge amount. However, her security authority scares even gods.
