  • Name: Winston Mistbrewer
ArtStation - mistborn, ma chun | Character art, Concept art ...

    Gender: Male

    Sexuality: Heterosexual

    Age (18+): 19

Appearance: Winston has cropped brown hair and blue eyes, along with a wicked cool cloak (that bears no resemblance at all to Mistborn cloaks). He has a capelet and leather gloves, although he usually just wears clothing that isn't nearly as tight or uncomfortable when in private. He moves in a carefree way and doesn't act like he pays attention to his surroundings.

    Race: Human (Alchemist)

Alchemy Details
  • Generally, life is the most potent and powerful, because it requires the greatest sacrifice of the five. The more of the element you have, the more potent the potion will be, and you also can't mix two potions together to put in one bottle. Once the potion in the air is activated, it is absorbed slowly by whatever is using it. If nobody is using it, it will fade into the air over the course of ten minutes. The effects will always be the same, but the length of the effects will be lengthened or shortened depending on how much was absorbed.

By "life" I mean anything that was or is part of something living: tree bark, an ant, a drop of blood, etc. Your own blood is more potent than anything else though, which is why small amounts of blood are often more powerful than slightly larger amounts of biomatter.

The potion will be the same color as their element; life is white, air is grey, earth is brown; etc.

Second CS

Name: Blake

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Pansexual

Age: 20

Branch Affiliation: Soldier

Race: Half-Dragon

Appearance: Blake has platinum blonde hair and blue reptilian eyes. His skin is pale and he has small marks from childhood injuries all over his arms and legs, mostly from attempts at flying gone wrong. His wings are scaly and are structured similar to bat wings. The plagiopatagium and the dactylopatagium (look it up) are leathery and are mostly translucent. The scales are blue, ranging from navy to aqua in colors. The wings come out where the shoulder blades are. Blake wears black or brown clothing and has a plain black cloak. He stores his tonfas in sheaths on his belt. He tends to walk with his knees slightly bent and with his hands held out a little from his sides.

Magical Abilities:

Chargeup: Blake can charge up electricity for storage and later use. He can choose the amount of electricity used when he channels electricity. When he charges, he tends to cause a lot of mild static electricity. Charging completely takes about three hours, give or take. Electricity from other sources is absorbed by Blake.

Shocker: Blake has the ability to create electricity and make a current. This means that when he activates his shocking power, whatever touches him gets shocked by electricity. At the maximum, it's not enough to kill, but enough to cause some serious pain and incapacitation for some time. For this to work, he has to touch something for it to take effect. When he uses the power, the body part that is charged starts to spark a little with electricity.

Tesla Coil: He can create arcs of electricity. When he uses them to go low voltage, they don't hurt at all and are basically just for show. They can leap to up to four feet. When he uses a lot, the result is a five-second stun on the victim that also drains Blake of his energy. These high voltage bolts last for two feet before they lose effectiveness. Both types of bolts are directional, but the bolts seek their own path. If he shoots a bolt at an enemy with a sword, the bolt is going to arc towards the conductive steel instead of the person, unless he's close. When Blake just shoots without a destination in mind, the electricity will seek out the best conductors. Because of this, he doesn't use it as much as the other powers.

Channeling: Channeling is Blake's specialty. He can use the electricity to give himself the strength of two normal people and the speed of three. This drains him a lot, and his muscles get extremely tired afterward for about four minutes for every minute when he channels. Blake uses it for brief moments, and almost never channels for prolong periods of time.

Physical Abilities:

Equivalent of Karate: Blake is well-versed in Utustae, (yü-ɡəs-tī) a martial arts style focused on hand-to-hand combat, focusing on strikes such as punches, palm strikes, elbows, etc. Kicks are also used in Utustae. The martial arts style was supposed to be used mainly in tournaments, but due to the nature of Blake's powers, touching his opponent is all he needs to gain the upper hand in a fight. In the fighting style, his movements are fluid and quick, and momentum is constantly manipulated.

Flight: Blake has the ability to fly, quite obviously. His wings allow him some range of motion, but due to the lack of aerodynamic body shape, it's awkward and hard to use. Blake can't reliably use his wings in strong winds, storms, or small rooms, and he's not able to do any fancy acrobatics while flying.

Vices: Underconfident in his abilities, almost never cuts his losses, sometimes can't read the mood

Personality: Blake is for the most part, cheerful, friendly, and helpful. He isn't one to give up and always tries to lighten the mood. Blake takes note of things but doesn't think things through. He's rebellious and isn't a fan of authority. He is never serious, and when something bad is going on, Blake sometimes doesn't realize it and comes off as insensitive. He means well, but his actions don't always convey it. While he tries to get everyone to lighten up, he is constantly on the lookout for anything dangerous. He has promised to never get himself into the kind of toxic relationship that his mom was in, so he always tries breaking up anything even remotely close to that kind of thing. Due to how he was raised, Blake always sells himself short and doesn't want to fight because he sees himself as less capable than most others.

Background: Blake was born in Alenia, in a northern town that had only a few people. His father was human, and his mother was a dragon that had shape-shifted into human form. His mother trained him in his powers at first, and it became clear that she had only sired him to be a servant and/or a minion. She was often cold and demeaning, insulting him all the time and telling him that he wasn't good at anything. At the age of 15, his father tried to stand up for Blake. In retribution, he was killed by his mother. From there, Blake avoided his mother as much as possible. Several times he tried to escape, but was always found and punished. Once he became an adult, he ran away from the northern town for the last time and managed to stay low. He changed his name to Blake, changed his haircut, and headed off to more urban areas, reasoning that he would be harder to find in urban towns and his mom wouldn't be able to use her dragon form in the town.

Blake had heard about Visian Academy and decided it would be a very good place to get to. At the moment he had a cloak and an empty backpack that he was using to hide his wings, but it wasn't perfect. Blake was accepted to the school and made his way there.

Familiar: His familiar is a Thunderbird the size of a red-tailed hawk. Blake found it in the woods when he ran away, and they've become companions. The Thunderbird trails streaks of electricity behind it when it starts to fly. It isn't good in combat at all.

Other: He has a pair of bladed tonfas that he secures onto his forearms with leather straps when needed.

When Gallame died and Izevel grew older she wanted to take after her father by creating her own inventions so she too could be an inventor, but with that she needed money so they then set out to do mercenary work throughout the kingdom. This allowed Izevel to make money and buy what she needed to invent while Ember protected her along the way. While they were traveling she picked up the name the Scarlet Blade. Name: Shina
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bi
Age (18+): 19
Race: Harpy/Birdfolk (Owl variant)

Abilities (Include limitations):

Hollow Boned- Shina has a physicality built for flight, making them very light for their size and making heavy impacts especially dangerous for their health. Her wings can be used as 'arms' to the extent of giving someone a big feathery hug, but lack the ability for much else besides flight.

Wide Eyed- Naturally good at perceiving even minute details about whatever it is they’re looking at, especially if that includes anything that sparkles. Includes enhanced vision at night.

Updraft- Channels an air current to drastically increase her flight speed, if used incorrectly will throw her flying off balance. Also makes it very difficult for her to maneuver in tight spaces.

Howling Gale- Encases herself in a whirlwind of air, forcing people and objects immediately surrounding her away and disrupting light projectiles flight paths (arrows, rocks, etc.) If used in flight greatly reduces the speed she can move at without knocking herself out of the sky. Cannot be used at the same time as Updraft.

Blades of the North Winds- Projects a wave of air from her wings capable of impacting as strong as a regular sword swing up to 30ft, if unfocused the range is drastically reduced. Can also be used for quicker, narrower projectiles at longer ranges, with their power petering out if unfocused.

Vices:
Can have a short attention span/gets easily distracted
Naps often (to stay up during the middle of the night of course)
Stares a little too much, poor social etiquette in general
Very clumsy on the ground
Hates containment/small spaces

Branch Affiliation: Mage

Personality:
A complete airhead on the outside, others often find Shina staring off at the clouds instead of paying attention to whatever is happening around her. She likes nothing more than to soar around and feel the wind on her face, and one of her favorite things to do is find a nice perch to land on and observe a busy area from above. She does her best to avoid passing judgement on a person by their race alone, instead going off of how they treat those around them, but often struggles to give humans their fair shot upon first impressions. Her time spent away from any kind of civilization can show through in some of her mannerisms, like sometimes forgetting that you can eat with more than just your hands at the table. That isn’t to say she’s not intelligent, being able to remember things she has seen with incredible levels of detail. It’s whether or not you can get her to relay the information you want that’s the tricky part.

Background (opt):

Shina was brought into the world along with her twin sister, and growing up in their small town the two of them were inseparable. They spent their time watching their mother train and constantly pestering their grandmother to take them wherever she kept wandering off to in the forest. They caused all kinds of mischief in town when the opportunity presented itself, their proudest moment being when they grabbed a young human boy and hoisted him off the ground, giggling all the while as they flew him around town before returning him to land. Humans hadn’t been an uncommon sight in the town, with the occasional adult spending a few days in town before returning to wherever he had come from. They had always seemed nice enough from afar, so what was the worst that could happen from a little prank?

About two months after they awoke to the smell of smoke, blood, and battle as their town was being raided by humans. The only memories she has of that day are imprinted in her mind as flashes of intensely vivid images; her mother collapsing dead in front of them, her grandmother swooping in to save them only to be hacked to pieces, and finally the bloody face of the man who stole her and her sister away from the smoldering ruins of their home.

The two of them, along with the other surviving children of her town, were dragged down into the world of non-human trafficking, and it didn’t take long for her to realize these humans cared about them less than the dirt they walked upon. Every few months one of the others would be dragged away kicking and screeching never to be seen or heard from again, until after two years of hell only the two of them were left. The nobleman who had initially had the two “collected” thought he could get a better price if he sold the two of them off together, but bidders grew scarce for not only one but two malnourished harpies. It wasn’t like the man wanted to keep the two around, he was just too stubborn to cut his losses. And he was determined to make a profit on his investment.

One night in the depths of winter, where the two were forced to press as close to one another as they could for warmth, she awoke to the sounds of her sister’s muffled screeching as she was hauled away, leaving Shina alone face-to-face with the man who had dragged both of them here. She used the magic she had barely any control over, her emotions fueling the spell as she riddled the man with countless holes before being forced to escape into the night. The next several years were spent wandering from place to place, being forced to keep moving or risk being caged again. That was until she caught wind of the academy, a place where she might be able to settle down and be safe at. Who knows, maybe she can find one of the others who were taken with her, or maybe even find the child of the nobleman responsible for everything and rip them to pieces.

Appearance/Pic (Anime/digital art preferred):
Stands at about 5’0, weighing around 100 lbs. About a 12ft wingspan.

Name: Fennorian Ravenwatch
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Asexual
Age (18+): 21
Race: High Elf Vampire
Abilities (Include limitations): invisibility (up to 20 minutes once per day)
Mist form (infinite use, but still has mass and if struck at the center of mass it will force him out of it, and using the ability drains energy/increases need to feed. Allows him to also move upto 30% faster, and fit through spaces normally impossible as long as it isnt a solid wall.)
Restoration magic (other wise known as healing and defensive magic)
Alchemy/potion making
Vices: Fenn tries to be as good as he can, but being a vampire means he does have to feed off of human/humanoid blood. If he doesn't he not only risks dying, but also going feral and losing himself to the thirst. He is also afraid of heights, and tends to look less fondly on those who don't abide by a "good" moral code.
Branch Affiliation: while he could qualify for Aristocrat, he chooses the Mage branch
Personality: Fennorian is a polite, proper, and sweet gentleman, and also considered to be quite the nerd for his love of magical theory and plants and how they're used in potion making. Also, I know this isnt exactly "personality", but he is also on the autism spectrum.
Background (opt): Fennorian is the son of Count Verandis Ravenwatch, head of House Ravenwatch. House Ravenwatch is known for their status as "friendly" vampires, they take no blood by force, help others, and curtail the acts of hostile vampires.

Name:
Aki

Gender:
Female

Sexuality:
Pansexual

Age (18+):
29

Race:
Raiju

Abilities (Include limitations):
"Companion of the thunder-god"
Much like her master, Aki can generate, and control Electricity at will. She can do almost anything that Lia can do in terms of electricity control, and to an extent, do it better. Aki can also turn into her true form at any time, which appears to be a wolf made solely from electricity. When she's in this form, she's much quicker, and can do much more damage then she can in her human form. However, she can only hold her true form for around 30 minutes before she's absolutely out of energy. And while she can control electricity much better then Lia, she doesn't have the same amount of energy that Lia does. Ever since Aki has formed a contract with Lia, her Attacks have never been stronger then her masters.

Vices:
Very hyper, cannot focus on one thing for too long.
has a tendency to be very lazy, unlike Lia.
Almost always wants to be the center of attention.
A glutton.

Branch Affiliation:
Mage branch, Familiar

Personality:
Aki is a very lighthearted person, almost the exact opposite of her master. She never takes anything seriously, unless her master is in danger, then she takes things a little more seriously. She also has a track record of being very.... Friendly around everyone, which can result in some unwanted relationships between her and random people. Some would say she's way too social, always seeking attention from anyone around her. She enjoys hearing people talk about her, about how beautiful she is, or how she down a mug of beer faster then a grown ass man.

Background :
Aki's earliest memory with Lia was both of them meeting for the first time. A much younger Lia was on a hunting trip with her father, and met Aki in near a stream, drinking some water. Aki spotted Lia, and had two options, kill the little shit, or walk away and pretend that she never even saw the young girl. Before she could decide on what to do, Lia had already made her way towards the Raiju, and studied her body, and gave Aki a good head pat, which she allowed.

"How about you become my familiar?" Lia had asked Aki, who laughed at the thought of being tamed by a human....and after a few more seconds of being petted, accepted the offer. After they created a contract with each other, Aki was rarely not at Lia's side, they ate together, slept together, bathed together, and of course, fought together.

Name
Hesphelda von Ouzenos

Gender
Female

Sexuality
Bisexual

Age
21

Race
Human

Abilities
“Butterfly on the Wall”
The only ability that Hesphelda possesses, the princess is capable of summoning a horde of butterfly familiars to do her bidding. Used primarily for communication, Hesphelda is allowed to converse through each insect, as well as see, hear, and feel whatever they do. The butterflies run on mana and cannot harm other creatures. Using too many at once will quickly drain her magic pool and leave her fatigued, such as when summoning 100 all at once. She can use them as a diversion to run away.

Vices
Insecure
Sheltered
Hesitant

Branch Affiliation
Aristocrat Student

Personality
The very definition of a pristine princess, years of tedious lessons on etiquette, and what it means to be of the royal bloodline, have shaped Hesphelda into the respectable woman she is today. Tender in nature and quick to recognize the strengths of a person, she has taken the duty of being an example to her people, her creed prefaced in the art of conversation rather than combat. She adores her subjects and makes it her goal to help any of them as long as it is within her power to do so. While she does not hate non-humans, she has a general fear of them because of her human upbringing but hopes to overcome that fear as she experiences more of their culture firsthand.

As it stands, she is the leading spokesperson for non-human rights within Alenia’s nobility. She hopes to one day realize King Zaren’s endeavors for peace and prove to him that she is capable of inheriting the throne and continuing his will. Through this, she tends to stick her nose in places where it doesn’t belong. She has been criticized on numerous occasions for her “lax approach” towards non-humans and has even been viewed as mentally ill by those that oppose her right to power.

Background
Born as an Ouzenos, there is no way to categorize Hesphelda’s upbringing as anything other than privileged. The first to be served food, the first to be educated, and the first to be protected, Hesphelda never experienced trouble in the outside world growing up. Her father, King Zaren, handed everything she wanted on a gold platter, always being his favorite little girl. As to how she didn’t grow up spoiled is beyond the laws of comprehension. This did, however, make approaching her difficult for those outside her immediate family.

After suffering from an attempted assassination in her earlier years, Hesphelda’s father forbade her from interacting with anyone outside of the castle’s walls, locking her in her room like a caged bird. The attack had permanently crippled her mana production, leaving her defenseless and in need of constant supervision. Only under rigorous training has she been able to produce her unique form of magic, albeit much weaker than when she was a child. This incident caused her to be greatly preserved for a time, seen scarcely by the masses except for during royal gatherings and ceremonies.

As she became older, Hesphelda wished to become independent, even challenging her older brother, Siegfried von Ouzenos, for rights to the throne. As a non-human activist, she opposed his philosophy of non-human genocide, hoping to gain favor from the growing power that the non-humans began to receive. She begged her father to let her attend Visian Academy with the mission of intel gathering and plans to extend her contacts beyond that of the disorganized Alenia nobility to usurp the throne from her brother.

Name:
Coralhyn Reefmath

Gender:
Female

Sexuality:
Bisexual

Age (18+):
19

Race:
Shark Triton

Abilities (Include limitations):
Part man part fish:
Thanks to Triton's unique biology they are able to breathe both on land and underwater. Although breathing underwater is more natural and comfortable for them being out of the water doesn't cause any major issues for a Triton.

Legs on land, tail in the water: Coralhyn has the ability to change the shape of her lower body depending on if she is in or out of water. On land she is able to maintain her lower half as a pair of legs that grant her better mobility. In the water she is able to change her lower half into the equivalent of a fish tail granting her better mobility and speed in the water.

Skilled with a spear, the strength of shark, and the grace of a dolphin: Coralhyn was trained from a young age to wield her trident and has become quite proficient with it. In the water her abilities with it are a sight to behold, its as if someone combined the strength and ferocity of a shark with the grace and speed of a dolphin. The problem for her is that it doesn't all carry over to land. Her skills with a trident are still something to be noted but she is basically as strong or fast as the average student.

Language of the Deep: Coralhyn can speak to/understand creatures that live in water. On the flip side this also means she thinks she can speak to land animals when she can't.

Vices:
Clumsy on Land
Mannerisms of a sailor (Thinks that is normal mannerisms for landwalkers)
A bit clueless, especially when it comes to reading peoples emotions
A bit of a superiority complex

Branch Affiliation:
Soldier

Personality:
Coralhyn in general is a sweet girl who always means well but whose actions don't always convey the good intent. Her behavior is very similar to a sharks, she is always on the move looking for the target of her next hunt. Whether it be something she is literally hunting or a dream she is chasing. She is also a ball of curiosity, learning her surface manners from sailors she doesn't understand the idea of personal space and that makes her quite nosy., but a good bop on the nose is often enough to get her to back off. Though depriving her of the information she desired to learn will often cause her to brood or pout until she learns what she wanted to know or her focus is shifted to something else she can nose her way in on.

Background (opt):
Even from childhood Coralhyn was considered unique among the other Tritons. For most Tritons the surface world wasn't there issue, they would interact every now and then but the oceans were there homes. This gave the Tritons a sense of superiority to the land walkers who constantly squabbled among each other. Coralhyn never really shared this distaste for the surface but instead she looked up to the surface world with a morbid sense of curiosity. What kind of creatures roamed the land, what kinds of hunts could be held? Did they have flying sharks or creatures as big as whales? These questions constantly flowed through the young Coralhyn's mind. Her parents dismissed her longing for the surface world as a child's immaturity, but one man did not.

Her uncle encouraged her to think differently from the other Tritons. That surface world was a new world for them and if she wanted to explore it then he thought that one day she should. Since he was the only one who encouraged her behavior Coralhyn spent a lot of time around her uncle. Her uncle was part shark like Coralhyn and so he spent his days around the sharks of the sea. His behavior reflected his biology and his choice of companions, those behaviors would eventually start to rub off on Coralhyn as she started to act more like a shark as well. It would be her uncle that taught her how to fight, so she would learn his brutal and borderline style of fighting from him. It would be her uncle that would encourage her to join Visian academy when she brought home news of it.

If she wasn't hanging around with her uncle Coralhyn often spent her time at the edge of the water hiding and listening to the sailors at the docks. It was from them that she would learn her surface manners and how to speak in the surface tongue. One day while she was listening she overheard some sailors talking about a new military school made for human and non humans. After doing some investigating she learned how to apply and brought the news home. Her parents laughed her off and hurt her pride, but when she told her uncle he encouraged her to follow through with it. Taking her uncles advice and wanting to spite her parents, she gathered her small amount of possessions and took to the surface world. Despite her poor etiquette she managed to earn her way into the academy. Thus her surface journey would officially begin.

Other (Any other info we should know?):
Thanks to being part shark Coralhyn has a similar mouth structure as them. Though much smaller in size compared to a normal sharks mouth, She has four rows of dagger like teeth capable of shredding through most flesh and even bone. She has two rows of teeth on the top part of her mouth and two on the bottom. This also comes with the fun side effect that she very easily losses teeth but they grow back at a very quick rate. Her teeth can also be broken rather easily but once a tooth is broken it is naturally shed and a new one replaces it in about a week. Due to this she has a habit of collecting her knocked out teeth and making accessories out of them. Currently she has a necklace and bracelet that she wears made out of her own teeth.

Name:
Inu.
This is only a nickname to address her as she doesn't know her official name.

Gender:
Female.

Sexuality:
Bicurious, leaning towards guys.

Age:
20

Race:
Werewolf.

Abilities (Include limitations):

"You stink, you know?"
Thanks to her canine-like bloodline, Inu's sense of smell is far beyond an average human's. She's capable of tracing someone's location by following their scent as long as she has an object with said scent for reference. She can recognize people she knows with their scent without having to look at them as well, though said people would have to have been with Inu for hours before she can recognize them purely by smelling them. Even with this enhanced smelling, Inu is prone to suffer with strong smells that would damage her nose, like a bottle of perfume or rotting food, to then which the shapeshifter tends to start whining like a dog as she covers her nose in disgust. Regardless, like a canine, she tends to sniff and huff several times to the air and even move around when doing this, which gives her a somewhat of a comical look.

"Ugh, be quiet! I can hear you from a mile away!"
Her long ears aren't only for show, but function like a wolfs' as well. Inu is capable of picking up noise from afar, though she excels in higher-pitched noises as her canine instincts prioritized these noises for prey through evolution. She can hear deeper noises as well, though with no much clarity as with high pitched ones. In example, Inu would be able to pick up a girl's words when speaking, but not be able to do this if it was a man.

"What? Want me to jump over?"
Inu had spent an immense amount of time jumping over fences and even learning to parkour her way out of places, and naturally has turned into an extremely agile woman with quite the stamina to spare. She is able to do this as well in a fast pace but, as agile as she is, Inu is unable to go out of her way without knocking a few things over in accident and so would be completely useless if she had to be quiet during her escape.

"I can bite through your bones"
Inu possesses sharper and bigger fangs that those of an average person. Her bite force is equal to that one of a wolf and even sometimes ends up chomping a bone in half that she was fidgeting with. If she were to bite someone, of course, she wouldn't be able to break their bone but her teeth would be able to sink into their skin with enough force, though only if she wanted to do this kind of damage, and if not then it'd be the same as a dog playfully biting someone. Occasionally, Inu gets teeth pain from her fangs growing and needs to constantly trim them down, which she does this by chewing a bone or a sturdy object until the pain goes away. When she has this pain, she cannot bite anyone without inflicting major pain to herself in return.

"The monster inside of me"
As her race suggests, Inu is able to shapeshift into a werewolf-like creature with one critical condition; Inu has to be incredibly hungry, or have her survival instincts kick in. She grows up in size to stand at 7'0ft and gets completely covered in fur to the point that she is almost unrecognizable as a person anymore. When Inu transforms, however, she's unable to think for herself and acts completely on her animal instincts to the point of being unable to communicate, chasing towards whatever the animal thinks is a threat no matter if it's an ally or enemy. The only way to distract the beast is to throw at it food, to which it'll feed itself with. When full, Inu reverts back to her normal form. Its form is mostly resembling of a bear, though possesses canine-like features as well. Inu, for personal reasons, absolutely hates transforming and always tries not doing this, even if her life was threatened until her instincts inevitably would kick in. Because of this, Inu gets hungry a lot more than others, and so the woman is constantly seen snacking on something or even having a meal to prevent any tragedies.

Personality:
As stereotypical as it sounds, considering Inu's race, she could be described as a "lone wolf". A woman who closeted and hardened her heart away from anyone. She isn't quiet, however. To the contrary, in fact, Inu is quite the loud puppy and can be constantly heard talking to herself when in deep thought or even shouting into the air when she's annoyed, which she can easily become. The black-haired girl will certainly talk to anyone who talks to her, though can come off as rude or unlikable in return and isn't afraid of telling others to leave her alone when she has had enough. It's not as if she dislikes people, but rather is afraid of getting too close with others in the possible scenario that Inu would be to become careless and not eat when needing to, as she would be distracted, and Inu's other form would rise from the insides. Being constantly hungry sours the woman and will prioritize getting a snack and pushing any other tasks behind until this is fulfilled. It could be said that Inu becomes "hangry" when she's craving for something, getting annoyed with others far easier than normal and being more vocal of her complains.

Even though she's a woman, she barely acts like so. Sitting down with her legs open, or sometimes talking with her mouth full, or even sometimes making fun of those elegant ladies who care for their image makes it clear to anyone at a glance that Inu is quite the tomboy. Not only through her spunk personality can this be a sign, but her overall appearance is also a give away. Her long, black hair kept in lazily put low ponytails grow wilder day after day since Inu very rarely brushes it, only doing so when her hair is getting in her way. Her clothes vary, but ultimately aren't exactly the prettiest things. She usually simply goes with a normal sweater and shorts, but whatever that doesn't strain the woman from jumping and running works for her. Though she's scared of getting closer with someone, she's willing to be acquaintances with people as long as they weren't annoying or preyed into her private life. Small talk and so on never bothers Inu, but the moment they tried to get closer to her she'd instantly shut them down and distance herself with them.

Inu is the type of woman who tries to act tough and be independent, even if she needed help. The canine is too stubborn and prideful to approach someone for assistance, and would even deny someone offering their help. Though, with some persistence, Inu would reluctantly agree and let them help, acting all annoyed and bothered even if her tail would give her away. That damn fluffy, dark tail of hers is her greatest enemy after herself. It's like it has a mind of its own, and moves around according to Inu's mood. If she was happy, even if she didn't show it in her face, her tail would certainly swing from side to side in glee. If she was to be upset, her tail would be low, and if she were to be scared she'd quite literally have her tail between her legs and so on. Like a dog, however, Inu would to become extremely clingy to whoever was able to break through her shield towards her heart, and even not being afraid of making her clingy feelings known to that person. She'd want to be with them at any possible moment, and with only a single glance to said person, her tail would swing excitedly.

In conclusion, Inu is a tomboyish woman who is willing to have a conversation with someone, but would rarely be the one approaching in the first place. A lone wolf at a surface, but isn't afraid of speaking her mind and is quite loud. And deep down in her heart, a puppy wishing for friends and affection.

Background:
TRIGGER WARNING: Gore.

Inu was born in the woods from a couple of werewolves that hid away after being runaway slaves. Unfortunately, she only got to spend 2 years with her parents before passing hunters had captured the small family and separated them into groups to sell. Given that Inu was still practically a pup with very little conscious of her surroundings, she was never able to remember what her name actually was. She had been given by the sellers what was necessary for her to live until she grew up to be 6 years old, which was the minimum age for her to at least do small things as a slave for a family. Eventually, the practical puppy was sold by a decent price to an upper-class human family who hadn't owned a slave before. This decision of them to obtain one had come to the surface after the mistress had given birth to now their growing daughter of 5, which was a year younger than Inu, who required more needs than her parents had time to spare. And just like that, Inu's new life began.

Her dog-like quirks of huffing when sniffing, or whining when being hit, gave the little girl the nickname of "Inu", which simply meant "dog", and from now on the puppy would to carry this nickname as her official name. This nickname was more fitting than expected, given that Inu was one slave to learn quickly like a dog in training, even with her small stature, but treats and head pats made the girl overlook the many bad things this job carried, like the expectations or verbal abuse from the parent figures. As long as she had food, she didn't mind working tirelessly for their daughter and them's needs. Regardless, having two girls of almost the same age together for most of the time inevitably developed their master-slave relationship into one of almost siblings, though still keeping their boundaries set. Yet, with the years passing and both of the girls having reached their pre-teen years, the heir of the family started to grow more rebellious. Sometimes, she would take Inu out of their palace to explore the kingdom of Alenia and play around together. Regardless of whatever life the werewolf was dealing with, she felt that as long as she had her master with her, she wouldn't mind always serving the family.

Unfortunately, in this day, her life was about to completely change. In Inu's genuine mistake, she had tripped and splashed red wine onto the mistress' white-as-snow clothes. The woman was completely furious with the whiny puppy as she pulled the girl by the tail, throwing her onto the basement and prohibiting her from any food for the next two days. Inu saw no issue with this and thought she would be able to handle it. After all, she had never starved in her life, but it was because of this that she didn't know of her other self. The first day was fine, but the second day was the most suffering Inu had ever gone through in her life. Crawling around and whining loudly as she desperately looked for anything to consume, though her search was in vain. Her stomach felt like it was about to explode, and her head was pounding along with her rapidly beating heart, her eyes desperately searching and hoping for anything that she could eat. Anything. Before she knew it, it was late at night, and yet Inu was still in the same fetus position on the cold floor. animal-like groans becoming louder and louder from her mouth as her tail would weakly pat the floor.

Inu was so hungry. She had never been this hungry in her life. Was she dying? She couldn't feel or hear, and her vision was turning blurry . She couldn't process anything, but yet she knew she was moving. With her blurry sight, she glanced down at her hands to only encounter those of a beast's, yelping in shock as she jumped back and looked at her entire body this time, her vision becoming blurrier. Her beating heart was the only thing she could hear at these moments as her body started to deform and grow hair. With the last of her conscious, she saw the door opening and entering, from who she could determine from her blurry small figure, none other than her beloved master! And she had even brought a plate of leftover foods. Yet, the overwhelming smell of the delicious bites drowned Inu's nose, and made the situation worse as she now became hungrier. And with this, her conscience disappeared.

Blood. Her first sight was blood. Screams. Her first hearing was those of a little girl's screams and yelps. The scent of the crimson liquid that was leaking onto the polished floor. The taste of iron and flesh trailing on her tongue. What was this? After a few seconds, her blurry vision had focused once again and she felt her conscious come back to her. She wished it didn't, or otherwise said view wouldn't be burned into her memory for the rest of her life. It was her beloved young master. She was alive, fortunately, but her left leg was twisted into an inhumane way, and her right arm was broken and covered in bite marks and wounds. Before Inu could snap from her shock and horror, the young girl's parents had woken up from the loud commotion and witnessed the bloodied scene, with their heir as the victim and their slave having tears of fear running down her face, whining in panic as she looked around for help. Immediately, the man had retrieved a crossbow from nearby and started to frantically shoot at the werewolf with shaking hands as his mistress was to run towards their hurt daughter. Inu, panicking, had ran away from the house and into the woods while the man pursued her before giving up a few minutes after, but the girl never looked back and kept running. Just running. Maybe she would run towards a cliff, in her hopes. But it never became so. And with this, Inu's life began anew.

She had no recollection of what she had done to her past master, but what she knew is that she was starving before this happened, and so made an oath with herself to never starve ever again, and to not have people become close to her. After all, she was a beast. She became hunting for animals in the woods for food, and even turning to steal from merchant humans that were passing by. With this lifestyle, Inu had learned to become extremely agile in her pursue of prey, or escaping from people she had robbed from. After turning 20 and being 8 years into this lifestyle now, the news of the academy had dropped into the woman's large ears and immediately tried to give it a shot. This was a good stepping stone for the stray dog. With a good place in society, she could start her life anew. Plus, the academy seemed like the easiest way to get food. It was definitely worth a try.

And so, Inu's new life began.

Abilities:
“Melting point”
Elliot’s power allows him to extremely hot blue flames from any part of his body. He has full control of his flames, and can shape them into whatever he wants. However, overuse of his ability will cause him to burn himself, due to the fact that he’s not very immune to his own flames. He tries to use his power very sparingly, but most of the time he forgets that he can burn himself with his power, especially during fights.

Vices:
extremely power hungry (but for good reason)
Dense
Very arrogant
Unreasonable at times

Personality:
Elliot is a rather outspoken person, always making sure that his presence is known everywhere he goes he makes sure that his presence is known to everyone in the room. He’s very protective of his siblings, everywhere they go, he goes, and if he’s not with them, he makes sure that they are in a safe place. El will commonly try to do everything himself, due to how he had to grow up, and will often push others aside as a way of "protecting" them.

He loathes humans, and see's most of them as threats to himself and his family.

Mos

Male

Age
151

Race
Imugi
possesses a transformative artifact which gives him a some-what... suspicious ...draconic appearance of a Sky Dragon.

Branch Affiliation
Mage

Abilities
Was born with innate dragon-y knowledge
Knows how to meditate; napping is a very important skill
Can fly
Takes on the physical aspects those before him to talk by his neck stump bubbling up into a figure resembling the being before him mixed with dragon features: without body-snatching someone's head he cannot see, taste, or smell while in the form of a dragon. When he is shifted these senses are still demonstrably worse then those he possesses in his natural imugi state.
Sees exclusively in inferred in both his shifted and inugami states.
Can persuade small animals to stop moving so he can eat them. maybe one day it will work on smarts.

He has no capacity to do the three allegedlies at any point in time, but he will flex on u like he thinks he can.
(("allegedly")) Omnipotence :: the likes of which has never been seen before!!! Even by Mos; seriously! when is he gonna learn how to use this stuff - anyone??? Help! If you meditate hard enough, all your dreams will come true!!! Clear your head of thoughts so you can Think the absolute Most!
(("allegedly")) Power Over Tempests :: the rains will fall at his whims! The skies shake and whirl with his wrath! Or at least... aren't they supposed to?
(("allegedly")) Great Fortune :: It's said you'll have great luck if you spot a dragon, but Mos knows that's a load of bogus! The fortune one encounters after spotting a dragon is all thanks to the Yeouiju! And most dragons don't even possess one, ha; how lucky people are to meet him!

Ancestor Lore :: Mos has direct access to the cumulative knowledge of his Mother and Father - but~ He doesn't really care, unless it's about dragons! He hopes his parents are peering into his mind and proud of him. 151 years old and out on his own! It's tear-jerking, honestly! He can also explore the knowledge of all his ancestors, all dragon's even! But the older and more distant, the more his head starts to hurt - and who wants that?!
Barrier :: Mos's mind, and to some extent his body repel malicious magical forces. This is, of course, so snoops can't crack open his brain and sneak into the library of knowledge and secrets forged by his ancestors: 'course, anybody'd probably go crazy if they saw that stuff. The slight but constant pressure exerting itself from his body over evil might make the ill-intentioned uncomfortable in his presence. Or give 'em a literal rash. It's a field-day of consequences. Maybe if he concentrates hard enough he'll be able to share his power with others, or stop others from using magic all together for quite some time!
Breathing Exercise :: It's unclear whether he needs to, or if he can just breath under many different conditions. Unclear if you aren't him! It's a secret hibernation technique! Smoke? Smog? The furnacy cold void of space? Good luck! Not only is this another fail-safe against mind-based attacks, deep meditation boosts a dragon's ~Spiritual Powers~!!! ... not that he knows how to use those, but it's smart to save your bank, you know?
Clear Mind :: By wrapping himself in calm and ignoring the physical world; Mos can recieve visions of the past and future! Of course... their accuracy, is: debatable! The further off something is the more likely it is to be wrong. With more practice, maybe he'll be able to travel and observe things happening in the present! Or direct himself toward specific instances in time. No matter where his physical body lay, perhaps one day - he'll be able to soar through countless deeds and dreams of a spirit-filled world.

Flight :: Mos can soar through the air at astounding speeds! He also lands - at astounding speeds! Owchers.
Float :: In his Imugi form, Mos cannot go faster than a brisk walk or be more than 5"3' higher than the tallest nearby structure.

Amorphous :: Mos's facial and body structures are kinda, wiggly. He morphs to more closely resemble the being he speaks to, though - he hasn't purposefully done this thus far, it just kinda happens... And what's the big deal with that? Being a dragon is cool!!! How does he get rid of these extra limbs?!?! It's almost like his dragonic form is unstable or something. When he fails to mimic another's form, he is completely lacks the senses of smell, taste, and sight - though, oddly, even without a head he can still hear. Maybe with enough focus he'd be able to regain his senses: but does he really want to wait for 849 more years?

Disarm :: What a pretty tail! And if Mos spins it around and around and around and around ... well, he's certainly caught a lot of fish that way! But it seems harder to charm people with his fancy trick! Maybe it's because he hasn't gotten use to using it in such a big body yet? Whatever the reason, Mos's success with hypnotism seems to only reach unintelligent life.

Vices
Naive :: this dude crawled out from under a rock yesterday.
Problem-Solving :: he does not know her. If you're faced with an obstacle, obviously the correct answer is to take a nap for the next millennium. Procrastination he's at your station.
Special Rock :: If you take away his magic rock, he reverts to his aqueous blob-like form. Not much he can do as an over-sized tadpole.
Gambling :: would he give up his ability to turn into a dragon for a bag of chips? Perhaps if they were salmon-flavored. As he's waited for 150+ (1) years, he's a bit... tired of waiting; if there's a chance things can be sped along - why not go for it! He's caught up in a rush from being out and exploring for the first time.

Personality
Mos has had very little experience with the outside world and it shows. Walk up to him and ask him to stab a dude? Sure! He isn't going to question your morality or intentions on this point until the stab-ee politely begs him to please not do that. He's game for whatever! Though legend has it he should be a benevolent creature... He kinda, just leaves his intentions up to whatever's offered to him in the moment. He doesn't take things too seriously and seems unaware as to why the fragility of mortality is something others wish to protect. He's big-headed and thinks himself very clever.

Background
Like many before him, Mos was hatched into this world: just a small fry. His parents came to hover over him every few hours, but as they were fixated on their own meditative journeys their visits ceased after the ninth day of his life. He didn't mind, if anything; perhaps his parents' decision was what granted him such shining luck. Even before his hatching, he knew his life's ambition. To Be A Dragon. It was simple! All he needed to do, was keep himself alive for 1,000 years; and live a respectable life! Though, Mos may have missed that last part - as rather then leaving his comfy hatch-site in the hopes of bettering the world: he turned inward to reflect on... Well, nothing. Without preforming actions one way or another, Mos floated in a kind of stasis: moving only when a tasty morsel swam passed. The pond was cool and dark within the cave; but more then that - it was safe.

The bats trilled, the fish swished, and the only visitors to the cave were older Inugami who kept their visits strictly to gathering water; Mos didn't even notice they were there, he was so deep in the process of Clearing His Mind; bad thoughts? Good thoughts? One only had to consider - No thoughts. Then, after a period of time unknowable to the young inugami who'd held onto his trance: there came an ear-splitting whistle. The cave collapsed beneath an unknown force, and a twinkling orb which had shot from the sky pressed itself into Mos's ribs: he knew at once what it was and gripped it between his claws. He shot out from beneath the rubble, no longer an inugami; but, as far as he was concerned, a fully-fledged Sky Dragon! He did not once question how such great luck could find him. Unaware of the two scaly bodies exhausted and collapsed across his once-was home, Mos: accustom to the darkness and unaware of the world outside, did not at all find it peculiar there was nothing but darkness for him beyond the cave. As he had never been a dragon before he did not speculate on his inability to smell, eat, or why his hearing still sounded as though he were underwater.

Headless and brainless, Mos flew for the first time. He knew, through instincts and the flow of power guiding him which segment of the sky he'd inherited. However, when he came upon it it was aghast with a terrible shrieking wind and the sea below whirled, torn asunder by the tempests. Mos was surprised, and circled over the area again, feeling it call out to him - he knew he'd found the sky he was now ordained to lord over: so why was it so merciless to him? No matter what he did, it didn't seem he could calm the bitter storm. Maybe he just needed more meditation. After all, he'd become a dragon 849 years before scheduled. Mos could feel himself scowl at the idea, even without a face. The Yeouiju would not have come to him if he were not ready! Incapable of baring through the winds much longer, Mos retreated to the nearest patch of earth.

He contemplated what to do as he lumbered forward, unaware of the wildlife dashing and ducking away from him. He found a soft spiral of ground, and began to follow it up a cliff. There he heard a voice speak to him for the first time in his life, "Dragon!" it called, and he couldn't help but feel excited, he was a real dragon, after all!

As the stranger boldly approached, Mos's flesh bubbled up from his empty neck and a squishy torso mirroring the elf before him was born, rather than growing a fearsome and sightly jaw, Mos's face was squished and an inexplicable fuzz flittered about his head. He raised and lowered his arms, testing out if perhaps they were his jaw, but no matter how hard he flung them they didn't grow any teeth. He was disappointed, but surprised with his sudden sight - blurry as could be predicted of one's first time seeing in light.

The elf was shocked, but resolute, "Dragon!" he called again, kneeling and obviously terrified - he then started to squeak out a meek request to Mos: defeat another dragon? Mos wasn't opposed! But- he informed the elf that even if he claimed the skies from its current master he'd be unable to control the weather and the fierceness of his storm would be far greater then the suffering of crops at the hands of a drought. The elf sputtered out all kinds of reason and bargaining to for why Mos should help; but, upon realizing that the dragon hadn't made up his claims of inability he offered something much more valuable than a life debt - an education! Now there's what Mos needed. In his long family lineage he'd never encountered a life-lived who had attended an academy: much less one run by humans! He was ecstatic to be the first of his line to get a degree. Mos agreed to conquest the elf's sky and end the drought if the education he was directed to succeeded in allowing him mastery over his new-found magic.

At the elf's directives, Mos wound himself into a corkscrew before shooting off into the sky - heading in the direction of Visain Academy.

Familiar
Mos may have stolen a gray carp from one of the Academy's decorative pools... Suffice to say, he does not know what a Familiar is. What Eun-Saem lacks in magic it makes up for with honest to goodness company.

Other
- The Yeouiju in Mos's possession does not belong to him and so is actively trying to break from his control and denying him its power. He is, unfortunately, an Imugi at heart.

Name: Dar'en Zen (or Daren for short)

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Bisexual

Age (18+): 22

Race: Lauchen (or Night Fae)

Abilities (Include limitations):
Moonlight Bliss: A rather unique trait, most common on the higher ranks of the Lauchen, that allows the user to channel the energy of the moon in order to boost vital bodily functions. Similar to that rush a werewolf experiences on a full moon night, the Night Fae's are known to alter their own body's composition whenever the moon shines on their skin. To put it bluntly, Daren's capable of overclocking his own body by overusing a certain "something" his brain releases whenever is night time, transforming himself into a beast that excels in brain capacity and physical durability, thus enhancing senses and damage output. This transformation comes in three stages that unveil themselves depending on how much of that "something" he's willing to release. Of course this amalgam of magic is more of an defense mechanism of the Lauchen and when used without proper concentration it could easily lead to temporal failure of certain bodily functions and in worst case scenario, death.

"The Basics": Throughout his god awful days of study, Daren conquered the basics of commonly used magic; and, by using all that underwhelming basic knowledge, he achieved things scholars could only dream of doing. Not because of the difficulty at hand, but rather because no-one in their right mind would even fantasize about wasting countless hours on something so meaningless.

Applying numerous principles of magic to one singular spell, Daren managed to singlehandedly increase its intensity by the ten folds.

The spell used as catalyst for this wild experiment of his, originated from a sub-genre of basic wind magic intended for a more trivial use. The spell used to make a soothing, rejuvenating breeze caress one's face. With added forceful enhancement, Daren somehow bypassed the spell's nature, augmenting its force and changing its direction. Now the spell is capable of sending strong currents of wind, much capable of sweeping someone off their feet, just by giving a simple sound cue; such as the clicking of a tongue, a small tap on a surface, a clap/a slap, or the classic snap of the fingers.

As of right now, this spell alteration technique is still extremely experimental, as every move was made on the fly and the resulting spell ends up being too high taxing on Daren's brain to even be considered a functional form of magic.

"Echoes": Perfecting his involuntary affinity with Wind magic, Daren managed to deceive everyone's ears. By manipulating wind magic with exaggerated, unnecessary, and obsessive expertise, he can create different auditory illusions; making it seem as though the wind has gone sentient, and is now imitating various phrases/noises Daren's already heard. The only down side to this is that it takes a painful amount of focus to keep these illusions going.

Pale Dragon's Breath: Soul cursed by an ominous white-scaled serpent, Daren's capable of tainting a person's spirit just by breathing on them. This curse is manifested in the form of a sinuous fog leaving Daren's mouth that slithers its way to the nearest person in the vicinity. Once it reaches said person and is in contact with their skin, it will proceed to make them feel the worst pain imaginable for a fraction of a second, usually rendering the weak into a catatonic state and momentarily paralyzing the strong willed. Though, a curse is a curse, nonetheless. Whenever he so desires to manifest his curse, Daren will feel the same excruciating pain climbing up his throat and leaving his mouth, normally leaving him just as dazzled as the person the curse was aimed at.

Will of the Moon: An ancient dagger bestowed upon countless inheritors of the strongest clan of the Lauchen, said to give the wielder the strength to speak for the silent and feeble, to grant them the sight of an eagle, pay no heed to the luring song of the most lethal of siren's, perform unrivaled feats of titanic proportions; it is the nameless blade forged into the heart of a vengeful spirit. Or at least that's how the story goes. In reality it's but a mere forgotten artifact of old, still living up to senile legends, but not as remarkable as what the myriad of fables speak about it. The dagger becomes seemingly unbreakable when the moon shines on it's blade, not capable of cutting through everything, but much reliable on the hands of someone with herculean strength, as its infinite durability would allow for various maneuvers that would be impossible to accomplish with normal weaponry. On the other side of the spectrum, the legendary dagger languishes when the sun shines on it, automatically vanishing into the wielders shadow until the moon rises once again; making it eerily situational.

Vices: Analyzing every detail until reaching its core, no matter how trivial the thing he's analyzing seems.
Drinking and eating like the world's about to end in the upcoming five seconds.
Howling, roaring and barking at no-one for no reason and without a warning.
Making at least one rhetorical claim every day at an unknown hour.
Biting into his nails whenever he's deep into thought.

Branch Affiliation: Mage- Student

Personality: At first glance Dar'en comes off as a decisive and trustworthy individual that never backs down, no matter the unwanted situation at hand, whether it be moral or physical. In reality the fear and shame welling up in his mind devours him alive. Chained down by the responsibility of carrying his clan's honor, he can't help but feel helpless due to the immense burden that is the task bestowed upon him; carrying the dagger until his bitter end, bring renown and respect to his race. His constant encounters with life threatening stakes had made him into someone whose body moves on its own when something goes wrong. He takes pride of this impulsive side of his and claims that, without it, he wouldn't have gotten as far as he did.

That tangled mess of emotion swirling about inside him is often kept bottled up until something forces it's container to explode. When such sentimental outburst does happen, Dar'en often finds himself lost in his own train of thought, his body sheepishly moving just for the sake of marching onward, almost unresponsive but still somewhat there. He loses grip on emotions faced with overzealous decisions relating what's considered good and evil in his sub-conscious, normally going for what seems more neutral at the moment, making repairs of whatever mess came out of the situation afterwards.

Background (opt):
"Who am I?" Was a regular everyday dilemma that kept him up at night ever since his fifteenth birthday, born as the next inheritor of the Moon's Will Dar'en always watched in awe as his father, former wielder of the nameless dagger, swung the damned thing with an entrancing grace, mixed in with a fearsome force that struck a bizarre feeling in the young Lauchen. He admired the old man, hell, he even idolized him as the strongest being on earth; but the more he contemplated his fear striking but humble dance of the sword, the more he wondered "Will I be able to do that?"

Dar'en was enamored with the inner clockworks of what little magic the locals had for him, and his tiresome studies of magic that would normally end up in him learning something interestingly useless ended up becoming his lifelong obsession. As he kept amassing every ounce of knowledge he'd skirmish out of every tome he could get his hands on, that clinging sensation grew larger. That feeling in his gut telling him that, no matter if he suddenly became an erudite known for his knowledge in every magic out there, his heart and soul were still bound by that hellish dagger, one day he would have to leave behind his yearning for magic and pick up the blade; that fated snare of a tale was his future.

Problem is, he could do everything his father once did in life, and much more, effortlessly to be exact. He was a natural at it. Once his father passed on the wretched dagger, Dar'en became the former holder of the blade with no name, and he entailed on a journey to slay his clan's enemies. The rest was history. Years passed and the blood on his hands still haunted him, dozens of enemy clans had fallen to the edge of his blade and not a single one of their troops left the battlefield with their heads still attached to their shoulders. Always striking at night, scarred by the pleading faces of his foes as he sunk the dagger in them, lonely at the top of corpses he'd stacked for his clan. The fact that he simply could not die and pass on the blade to someone else desensitized him. He wondered what had happened to those days he'd watch his father clumsily swing the seemingly harmless dagger he now held, having a good laugh at life.

This loophole of discontent kept repeating itself until one day he met that accursed decrepit snake. There was a certain animosity between him and that pale serpent, they connected in a somewhat morbid way, as both of them had been through countless battles and left unscathed; up until that point. They were both on their last straw of life, after all. Dar'en had met the minuscule dragon on a cave lost in the woods after one of his hardest battles yet. He thought he would finally have the sweet release he so desperately needed, but 'twas only a deep wound his foe left before giving into the Moon's Will. He would surely die of blood loss if he waited long enough, but he wasn't that lucky, someone would surely come pick him up in the next few hours. Then the mischievous snake spoke out loud, not a care in the world in his tone "Say, you crave it too? It dwells in your heart, doesn't it? I can almost smell that brittle stench of perseverance. You seek purpose, don't you? How about a deal then?"

Dar'en could not believe his ears. Was he perhaps the luckiest Lauchen alive? The ability to speak with nature folk had been but a minor liability which only "function" relied on interrogating different vermin to localize the enemy, but this snake was just straight-up trying to bribe him into something. He could feel the sinister killing intent coming off from the snake, along with some faint traces of magic here and there.

Magic? When was the last time he even sensed it? "Heh. Go ahead." The whole situation was just too good to be true, if the snake decided to pull off a stunt to trick him into something dangerous then that would only mean that his duty had been fulfilled. Besides, the nostalgia had his heart weakened. "How's this. I yearn to pass on the knowledge I've studied before dying. And you just happen to be the perfect catalyst! What do you say? It'll hurt a little, but I'm well-versed in healing magic. No worries." The snake yapped with a jovial tone, almost as if it were faintly smiling in anticipation "Well, not like I've better business to attend to. Besides, you only live once, right?" On the other end, Dar'en had just been hindered by the snake's hypnotism, not like he wasn't expecting the snake to betray him; not at all, he was anxiously waiting for his betrayal. Not waiting another second, it's large reaching body and throat slithered all the way to Daren's neck sinking both fangs into it. As the poison ran through the Laechan's veins the snake silently laughed "Silly me! I just remembered, I don't know any healing magic!" Daren gasped loudly "Oh, my! What a tragedy!" Then they both laughed hoarsely.

"Hah... We've shared some good stories, friend. Thanks for giving this old trickster some glory." The snake let out a satisfied sigh, before continuing "Do me a favor. Live for once, would'ya?" And just like that it gave out that last breath it had been holding onto, died reminding Dar'en to not let its last prank go to waste. "Don't think you're getting all the spotlight, you greedy bastard. I'm coming with you, just wait..." Daren spat out trembling words, genuinely crying tears of joy, knowing that he would finally get some rest. But it never happened. Next thing he knew he was already back home, his wounds taken care of.

He was back in the loophole, but there was something different this time. There was no immediate celebration and feast to their hero's arrival, no soldiers lining up and giving praise like soulless machinations; instead, an almost sepulchral silence followed along by the concerned looks of everyone. Once he felt that unrelenting sharp pain on the right side of his neck, he completely understood what those looks of disdain meant. "You sly snake..." An honest smile blooming on his face as he looked at the gigantic scar on his abdomen, a nasty scar that shouldn't have been so tremendous to begin with. Not only did the snake place a curse on Dar'en, but it also made venom circulate on his blood to weaken his body. It had fulfilled its end of the bargain. Now that their nameless blade had been weakened to such a state, they surely would put him to rest. Then he began contemplating more on the snake's last words, had he been living the way he wanted? All he really wanted from life was just to satisfy his need for magic. That's when the thought flashed through his mind, what if he enrolled to that academy that accepted non-humans as a mage? Would he be able to finally attain the life he desired?

Familiar:
None

Other (Any other info we should know?): The Lauchan are more of a "tribal" race that isn't culturally nor technologically advanced whatsoever, hence their constant disputes with other neighbor clans, so Daren is usually dumbfounded by anything that isn't plain forest and leaves.

Kali Euanthe
"Pleasure to meet you all. Now can someone care to explain to me what's got you all in such a rush?"
a

  • "Yes, yes. This all seems accurate enough. Can we move onto the fun parts?"
    Name: Kali Euanthe

    Gender: Female

    Sexuality: Pansexual

    Age: 20

    Race: Human

Appearance: Kali stands about 5'6-5'7 on the height scale, their pale skin free of blemish, scar or other markings save for the birthmark just below their shoulder. Their long blonde hair tied in a long ponytail that goes down past their waist, their hair slightly unkempt at time with the occasional stands of hair flowing off in a different direction than the rest. Regardless of the outfit's formality, seeming to always be wearing a black ribbon around their neck and left wrist.

    Branch Affiliation: Aristocrat

Familiar: "I've dabbled in magic yes, Rael is a delight to be around, I must say."

Rael is a small raven, his eyes having an almost spectral blue glow to them, however - as for capabilities - they seem to have the ability to telepathically communicate information in the form of images almost in a 'live feed' of sorts when Kali initiates the link - replacing their own senses with Rael's until the link is broken in some manner whether by her own hand or something else disrupts it.

"Oh the ribbons, merely a heirloom, looks lovely on me doesn't it?"
Abilities & Items:
Snuff: The ribbon along her wrist once activated by a magic signature of someone of the Euanthe line transforms into a black, shadowy scythe as light as a feather despite the obvious weight behind the impact. The strike giving the illusion of the blade slashing through completely to the victim, at least visually at first glance before it fades away - continuing to do so on subsequent strikes. The scythe carrying the additional property of extinguishing magical and non-magical lights and flames in a 30 foot radius upon summoning and a 30 foot cone with strikes that make impact with living matter.

Soulbind Collars: Despite the name, the bow around their neck simply serves as a way for their family to check in on them, a one way tether that allows for her family to check on her general health and status while being within the academy. The other collar placed around the matroness of the house in the form of a choker.

Basic Enchanting: In order to relate better and understand the wishes of the employees that serve under House Euanthe, she has learned to place basic enchantments on certain items that fade over the course of 24 hours if not given the proper materials that can hold the magic for longer periods of time which are limited to:
- Minor Illusions: This is typically used with some sort of hair or facial ornament, to help the user seem more physically appealing to the viewer over the course of a half-hour, enough for a brief conversation among nobility and for when the illusion to fade simply be in the heat of conversation. Other uses are a wrist ornament where the user would point off in the direction to create the sound that was infused into the ornament from murmurs of a conversation to sounds of footsteps - nothing definite and requiring precise sounds.

- Basic Abjuration: This method of enchanting works on most garbs and ornaments, though it is recommended for the enchantment be placed on more minor and less expensive items if they are not made of the proper materials, warding off minor 'injuries' if one could ever call them that. The main thing this particular ward protects again being paper cuts, scrapes at the knees, and what has made this popular among the younger female nobility, bruising at the heel from particularly uncomfortable shoes and heels. After the enchantment breaks, or is used up by the user experiencing an injury greater than the ward could protect against, the item that has been enchanted shatters.

- Minor Transfusion: This particular method of enchanting works on physical weapons in particular, requiring an adequate magical source of power, a blacksmith able to create a blade that can withstand the initial spell, and an enchanter to will the magic to remain within the sword. In all actuality, this is just an easier way to destroy your weapon in Kali's hands, despite their attempts in working and dabbling in this method of enchanting after the first strike the magic within the sword dissipates - releasing whatever spell was cast within the blade as well as causing the blade to shatter entirely. They understand the magic behind it, however, which despite her irritation when it does blow up - is all that is required from her. Granted this can be used on more benign spells, and they do hold for the most part, such as goggles to provide night/darkvision - though due to the unstable nature (namely due to her lack of practice) it may very well take out one's eye or whatever organ that the object is holstered onto if not laced with Deep Crystal or other proper enchanting material.

Personality:
"Mm, more about me? Sure, open book. Just promise to spill your guts to me after."
Kali presents herself as a somewhat pushy person, their curiosity benign in the sense as they typically stop upon realizing that her pursuits have caused either distress or something that is met to be kept to themselves. Always seeming to take information before giving it in return in mostly equal measure, though the transfer of information is typically delayed on her end unless asked. Someone who could definitely nag someone's ear off unless stopped, likely following their footsteps or walking and talking if they attempt to run off to do something else.

They also seem to have a taunting and teasing nature about them, once they latch onto something that they find particular interesting, it's hard for them to let it go - even if there isn't anything left to know about it - continuing to tease one for their previous actions - clearly provoking them to gather a reaction. Kali occasionally picking a 'favorite' to tease, poking buttons until she exhausts all of the possible reactions that she thinks she can draw from a person and then some, very clearly amused and entertained at times.

Perhaps, the most unsettling thing about them, at least at initial impression is how quickly she seems to shift their tone and personality from the 'base' to suit the majority or whomever in particular she is speaking to - almost a social chameleon at times - giving the impression to those who have long-term relationships with them with her being opportunistic at best and flighty at worst.

Biography:
"Ahhh! My younger years were so embarrassing, don't think too much of it! "
The noble house that Kali had found herself born in was deeply integrated with Alenia's military, though not in ways of soldiers or any real heroic ties - but in the sense of trade. Their family's plot of land holding the most amount of Deep Crystal (at least the one that was the most viable for collection) - one of the prized materials used in enchanting due to it's resilient property of being able to be enchanted separately from a base and give that same base the enchantment as long as the crystal remained infused along with the fact that it hold multiple enchantments without shattering. Though, in the militaristic sense, it was typically transfusion and illusion for weaponry and magical disguises respectively. Thus the family had accrued and created a enchanter's guild that was sponsored by themselves - the base remaining in their home of Quila, just east of the Capital's influence and suburban cities that surround the metropolis. As a child of this particular family heritage, she was expected to learn everything she could about enchanting, Deep Crystal, and the financial status of their house along with the connections that sprout from them - though, this wasn't exactly the case. Kali being the youngest sibling of the Euanthe line, the second daughter and fifth child in tow with the eldest being her brother at 38 years of age - she had the most freedom in their family. In their early years finding themselves consorting with the commoners and workers of their land before being dragged away, scolded lightly by the servants and continuing the process every so often - managing to keep herself on the fine line of their activities being reported to their father and keeping her on a house arrest that likely wouldn't have kept her for very long with her... free spirit.

As she reached her early teens, she seemed to get in line with the family's wishes, their and it was time for her to be introduced into society, she had modeled herself as her sister had, fake smiles - talks and words of sweet nothings to certain people - avoid others like the plague. Their family having giving her almost noble itinerary, who to talk to - who among those who are actually useful and which were simply a means to keep appearances and following it to a key - people there not failing to mentioning the somewhat sudden but welcome change in personality.

However, the last five years or so, news from the Euanthe Family has all but come to a silence, attendants, merchants, and other employees under their charge simply getting their orders to send their various enchanted goods through paper - their mother taking care of all of the diplomatic meetings alone - making certain to steer any sort of idle conversation to return to business. Which is why it was surprising when the first noise that came from the family was the equivalent of a gunshot as they sent their youngest daughter to the Academy for their education.
"Small talk? I do think I have a game for that..."
