Vinnie lived with his mother, GCPD Detective Renee Montoya, for the first fourteen years of his life, a period he has long since stopped thinking about. His mother told him story's about Vic Sage, an amazing scientist. Eventually she trusted him enough to tell him that Sage was actually the first Question and she the second. She forced him to swear he would never follow in her footsteps, a promise he would ultimately break.
Vincent's chance at a normal life was crushed when armed assassins broke into his mothers home and killed her after she attempted to hold them off.
Scared, vengeful, and alone, Vinnie would think back to all the stories his mother told him about Vic Sage. After eight months of searching , he managed to get in contact with the man. He begged Sage to further build the skills his mother had taught him and to help him find put who was responsible for his mother's death.
Together, the two tracked down Renee's killers, but Vincent insisted ontaking them on alone and, against Sage's advice to let the law handle it, killed them. He was changed by the killings, he felt guilty and almost disgusted, and swore never to kill again. Another oath he would one day break.
Vincent and Sage spent the better part of seven years together when the two were investigating a case and Sage was killed, leaving Vinnie with no-one he held close left in his life. This led to his aversion to working with anyone else or developing special relstionships. He gave up on the identity of Question, feeling no motivation with Vic gone.
After the events of Alcatraz, Hub City became a city riddled with destruction. Vincent thought he could save it by himself. He had a chance to end it all and save the city, if only he had let his bravado go and asked for help. Now, he lives with the knowledge that he failed Hub City.
Vincent is mostly quiet, but can be vocal during a discussion if he so chooses. He is analytical and will spend much of a conversation subconsciously learning a person by studying their habits. He enjoys music, and even has basic knowledge of how to play the guitar, but little else.

Hates being in the unknown. Although he wears protective armor, he is not unkillable, pump enough bullets into him, drop him off a building, choke him, stab him, he's dead. He has a tendency to disregard danger and attempt to tackle obstacle on his own. While having a debatable concept of morals, there are certain things he cannot let go unpunished but also certain lines he himself cannot cross.
