Realistic or Modern Villains and Heroes: Eternal Strife: Roleplaying Thread

The Golden General

The "Leader" of the ROBLOX Immmigrants

Villains and Heroes: Eternal Strife
(ORIGINAL THREAD: Roblox)
(Basic prologue story by DailyRoLord DailyRoLord , and details by The Golden General The Golden General )
Prologue: The story of Villains & Heroes begins in the year 2015. This is when Villains & Heroes I occurred. MegaMetro was adapting to new technology and implementing it throughout the city. This new technology was supposed to increase the life quality of citizens in MegaMetro. But, new technology led to more problems.

A man named John Doe used this technology to nearly conquer the city. For years, he had tried out attempts to conquer the city- all of which failed. One year, he tried to create a robot army. Another, he tried to cause an earthquake. He was simply a failure. Until one day...

In the year 2015, he stole and used a classified, genetic modifying device from a secret laboratory in MegaMetro to give himself powers. These powers allowed him to possess inanimate and animate objects. His powers gave way to a time of terror where crime in the city was rampant and life quality dropped severely.

Doe broke his old ally, Dark Mayhem, from jail. Mayhem had teleportation powers along with fire powers. Using their powers, they started a reign of terror. They took control of the streets and that of the highways. They blocked exits from the city. They were about to plan to kill all of the major politicians around MegaMetro and they nearly did. All seemed lost. Until they came.

The heroes. They were led by a man named Bolt, who had electricity powers. They valiantly fought back against the two villains. Doe and Mayhem were vastly outnumbered. In an attempt to kill Bolt, Doe invited Bolt to a duel in the clouds.

His plan backfired. Bolt won the battle, throwing Doe off of the clouds. Doe's physical body was destroyed. He was thought to be dead. Soon after, Dark Mayhem was sent back to jail, where he remains to this day. Bolt and the other heroes went into hiding. Some of these heroes gave birth to a new generation of heroes. Others simply disappeared. Bolt hasn't been seen since his battle with Doe. But the citizens were optimistic about the future of MegaMetro and Heroica as a whole. They were right in the end.

Ever since the day the reign happened, MegaMetro exploded from a developing city with around 100,000 population to a major financial center on Oberon. It's police force being the biggest in the continent. Many businesses started in this city and the population grew to over 12 million, making it the 3rd largest, but the fastest-growing city and most important city in Heroica. Today, the city is one of the most well-known cities on the entire continent.

After a 20 year hiatus, Doe struck again. Only about a month ago, in April, it happened. He was first seen fighting a hero on Breakaway Beach. The hero's name was Frozen Serpent. Following the battle, Frozen Serpent was killed, and Doe started to plot his master plan.

Doe's physical body was destroyed in 2015. His soul still remained. He allied with a female villain, named Dark Arachnid. She controlled an army of millions and millions of spiders. Doe possessed the general of the army, so he had the entire army at his disposal. It looked like MegaMetro was going to fall into a dark age after 20 years of prosperity.

They hatched a plot to kill the mayor. Arachnid captured and killed the mayor at Mayor's Hall. Arachnid was soon arrested, and jailed for life after the murder. But Doe, the army, and the spider army remained. Luckily, as they did last time, the heroes came.

A new generation of heroes. Completely new. The army and the spiders held back most of the heroes. While this distraction was deployed, Doe set off to destroy landmarks in MegaMetro. Luckily, one hero followed him.

His name was Towering Inferno. He fought Doe in Lambourn. With the help of a blocky like soldier known as Gearblade, Inferno won, and Doe was drowned into the Bloxxy Ocean. His soul was destroyed, and he is now dead. The spider army fled, and the general, no longer possessed, called the army back. The soldier, Gearblade, vanished and hasn't been seen since.

After that incident, the newly inaugurated mayor put an important speech about the future of MegaMetro and how another incident like that one will never happen again and how the new heroes might hold hope for MegaMetro. For a month, he was right...

It's been a month, and nothing much has happened. Landmarks have been rebuilt, after the battle with Doe. All seems well. But, as the citizens of MegaMetro have learned many times, peace never lasts long

One day, I will show the world what I've been through. I will not let my past hold me back. It's the only way I can redeem myself for everyone that has been suffering...

Geography

(Created by Amoradon Amoradon with some additions by DailyRoLord DailyRoLord and a complete edit by The Golden General The Golden General )

MegaMetro. The city of superhumans. Ever since the first hero walked the streets, it has always been a place of action!

(Note that this is heavily inspired by NYC.)

PART I-GEOGRAPHY

The entire story takes place in MegaMetro. It's placed on the Bloxy Ocean which surrounds the entire continent. MegaMetro consists of two islands and a piece of the mainland. The first island, called Abingdon Island is a bit like a fat L, but curved out and roughed up a bit. The other, called Lambourn Island is more like a 0, but once again it's organic. The bottom part of the 0 is inside of the L. The mainland area is basically part of a peninsula. Abingdon Island and Lambourn Island are cut apart by the Sorymo River.

They are connected by the following bridges:
Builder's Bridge: This bridge is dedicated to the people who first started the town back in the 1700's. There are plaques in the bridge that dedicate the bridge to the people who first built it. It was created for MegaMetro's 200th anniversary and is completely made out of steel and iron. This is the main bridge that connects Abingdon Island to Lambourn Island.
Remaro Bridge: This bridge is the most popular bridge for people to get from the two islands. Because of its frequent usage, traffic is often backed for the entire bridge from 3 to 6 PM. The bridge is named after Robert Remaro who was the 22nd mayor. He started MegaMetro's transition from a small city to a massive urban center. During his time as mayor, he built 37 skyscrapers and had 83 in plan to be made during his time. 23 out of the 87 skyscrapers have been built ever since. This bridge is made out of iron and steel.
56th Street Crossover: A small bridge that is made out of stone. This is the only bridge that connects both islands that are not a part of a highway. This connects 56th Street to Cortlandt Street.
MegaMetro Expressway: This expressway contains three bridges that connect all three parts in MegaMetro. The cars move an average of 75 miles per hour. This expressway is 23 miles long and connects every single district to each other.

The mainland is connected to Abingdon Island by these bridges:
MegaMetro Expressway: Read the explanation above.
Gurke's Bridge: The oldest bridge in MegaMetro. It is made out of mostly stone and metals. This is the only drawbridge in MegaMetro as the other ones have been upgraded. Dedicated to Aaron Gurke, the first mayor. This dedication is a plaque on both ends of the bridge. There is a statue near the bridge which was made for the 200th anniversary that is made out of copper.
Veranar Bridge: The most recent and the smallest of the bridges. It is made out of stone and steel. This bridge is the least maintained bridge in the entirety of MegaMetro. Thus, the civilians have given names to it due to it being neglected like: "The Abandoned Bridge", "The Bridge Stuck in Time" or "The Forgotten Bridge".

The mainland is connected to Lambourn Island by these bridges:
MegaMetro Expressway: Read the explanation in the two island connections.
Knight's Crossing: A decently-sized bridge. The bridge represents a bridge made back in medieval times and is made out of complete stone with only a stone border preventing the cars from falling off. There are arches under the bridge that keeps it held up.
Hero's Bridge: Traditionally used for victory celebrations after a hero defeats a major villain, also a normal bridge. The bridge is made out of complete steel along with iron and glows every night. It also has hidden fireworks inside it which shoot up whenever a villain is defeated. Also known as Celebration Bridge to residents.

The L is called Abingdon, the 0 is called Lambourn, and the mainland is called Tarporley.
Here's a summary of each area:

Abingdon-The center of MegaMetro. (Kinda like Manhattan.)

Popular Buildings:

- Mayor's Hall: Located in South Abingdon, close to the Mayor Mansion and Central Finance, it is a place where new laws are officially accepted, and is the Mayor's office.

- City Hall: Located in Middle Abingdon, it is where laws are initially proposed. The houses of the mayor are there along with the court.

- Central Finance Building: The center of the world's trade stocks. This massive and important building is 120 floors tall and manages all of the stocks of MegaMetro and Heroica. Because of this, it's the most defended building in the city.

- Breakaway Beach: This long beach that stretches the coastline of the island. It is located just south of the Mayor's Hall, it is an attraction for the local. Because of this, not many tourists come there.

- Thorpton Park: A quite big tourist park, it is in Middle Abingdon. Named after the Thorpton Building nearby which is a high-rise building that is 27 floors tall.

- Abb Amusement Park: A huge tourist attraction, one of the most known and best amusement parks in the world, named after Mega Metro inventor Charles Abb.

- Monument of Valor: A golden statue that depicts a hero standing upon the body of a defeated villain in chains. Located just west of the City Hall.

DISTRICTS:
South Abingdon: fancy buildings, skyscrapers, etc. Very high-class. Location of Central Finance. One of the world's richest areas to live and also where the majority of MegaMetro have their jobs at.
Middle Abingdon: The City Hall, Monument of Valor. A huge tourist area. Dotted by high-quality hotels and tourist attractions. This is also where the MegaMetro International Airport is.
East Abingdon: Lower class. An area of poor people/slums. Along the coast. Most crime located here is petty and no actual violence is done here although very common in this zone.
North Abingdon: Also rather lower class. More dangerous than East Abingdon. Villains are generally located here. This area has been designated as a high crime zone.
West Abingdon: Fancy, pretty. A very nice area. Most locals living in this area are rich and manage the zone. Although villains from the north side are slowly endangering the area. Most locals have superpowers though.

Lambourn-The more isolated part of MegaMetro. (Kinda like Brooklyn/Queens, but different :3)

Popular Buildings:
Terama Park: Fancy park, bigger than Mega Park

Monument of Honor: A monument to all dead heroes, shows a single hero surrounded by four villains. Located in the Forest of Hope Cemetery where superheroes are buried once they die. Funerals of famous superheroes and locals of MegaMetro were done here.

MegaMetro Hospital: Main hospital of MegaMetro for people who have been hurt by heroes/villains. Known for its long waiting times but quality healthcare. The death rate is 4% despite the long waiting times.

Mega Metro University for Non-Powers: The main college where normal people go to, it is in West Lambourn, along with the water. Known as one of the most prestigious colleges in all of Heroica.

Sorymo River Park: A very small river park, families often go there to enjoy their day. Not as popular as Terama or Thorpton Park, but the people who know this park are very defensive of this park being the best park in MegaMetro.

DISTRICTS:
South Lambourn: Nice area, lots of trees/families. Terama Park+Monument of Honor located here. This is one of the richer parts of MegaMetro as the real estate has been on the rise in this area for the past decade.
West Lambourn: Also a rather nice area. On the waterfront. Nice grassy areas. This is also the location of MegaMetro Hospital. Despite this, it is not as rich or as populated as South Lambourn.
East Lambourn: A shifty area. Lots of poor people who don't have the money to live in the city. Warehouses/factories. (Frozen Serpent fights around here.) Often polluted unlike the rest of MegaMetro.
North Lambourn: Middle class. An average neighborhood.
Middle Lambourn: A blend of the other 4. More civilized around the edges, but in the center/east, it's less nice.

Tarporley-The most distant part of MegaMetro. Mainly government-owned.

Popular Buildings:

Monument of Glory: A monument to the heroes who still fight today, shows a hero and villain locked in fierce combat. Located in a roundabout called the Iron Fortress near the end of South Tarporley.

MegaMetro Military Base: A military base in MegaMetro. Holds 75,000 active personnel and 2500 armored vehicles. This is the only base within MegaMetro.

MegaMetro Police Department: The world's largest police force is mainly stationed here. The MMPD is home to 50,000 officers who are trained to deal with normal crime and some supercrime. They are more disciplined than other police forces anywhere on Orebon.

MegaMetro Department of Research: The leading facility in research for hero and villain powers. This is the workforce for 1,000 scientists who are specially trained to discover new powers.

MegaMetro Anti-Villain Police Department: A police department dedicated to stopping villains. Due to the sheer power of the force, it is very rarely deployed. The department uses experimental gear, which has gathered controversy within the locals, mainstream media and even heroes and villains themselves.

MegaMetro Villain Correctional Center: This place holds captured villains. The Correctional Facility does not believe in the death sentence being the main way to teach villains of what they did as well as the politicians running MegaMetro right now. They attempt to educate villains about their actions and how they impact MegaMetro's society.Villains have busted out of the correctional center before, however.

- Mega Metro School for Superheroes: A school where training heroes go to learn their powers, it is in North Tarporley and government-owned. The place is not open to the public. It is only open to people who have been suspected of having a superpower.

- Beatt Park: A medium-sized garden-park for upper-class people, fancy restaurants, and beautiful gardens are here, it's in South Tarporley, named after Mega Metro born florist, Botts Beatt.

DISTRICTS:
South Tarporley: The nicest area. Middle/upper class. Holds the Monument of Glory. This is where most people live in Tarporley.

West Tarporley: Not very nice. Seedy area, home to several villain gangs that have escaped MegaMetro Villain Correctional Center. Known as the worst place to live in MegaMetro due to the high amount of crime here.

East Tarporley: Also not very nice. MegaMetro Military Base and MegaMetro Police Department are here. Home to more villain gangs. This is the most enforced part of MegaMetro and people who walk the streets of this district are often protected by patrolling guards.

Middle Tarporley: Decent. The government has put money into this area, so it's rather nice. Still, not many people live here. Mainly a barrier between the gangs and the most sensitive research areas. This is one of the many areas that are currently under development and by the time this project is done, it will probably hold up to 40,000 people.

North Tarporley: Completely government-owned. Holds MegaMetro Department of Research and MegaMetro Anti-Villain Department. This place is not listed in maps for this reason.
Greater Map+Politics

PART II-THE GREATER MAP+POLITICS

MegaMetro is at the edge of Heroica, a large America-esque nation. It is shaped a bit like a potato, and MegaMetro is at the northeastern tip, on a jutting out peninsula.
Heroica has a president, just like America, but that's where the similarities end. The president has no term limit, serves 5-year terms, and has a Council, which is voted for by the people. The Council consists of 15 advisors, each for a certain topic. It is the mouth of the next tier of government, the Upper House. The politicians are properly trained in politics to avoid a person who has no political background to represent a major spot in any of the Federal Government.

The Upper House is a group of 500 Advisorates, who gather to make decisions that will affect Heroica. These Advisorates can propose laws to the President to sign, and the President can propose laws for the Advisorates to vote on. If the President vetoes an Upper House law, then a 60% majority can override the veto. If the Upper House vetoes a presidential law, the Council can override the veto with a 60% majority. The Advisorates are voted for by the people.

Beneath the Upper House is the Lower House. It consists of the 500 Advisorans, who are lower-power versions of the Advisorates. They can propose laws to the Upper House, and if the law is vetoed, they need a 75% majority to override the veto and present directly to the president. If the law is approved, the Advisorans then present it to the president. The Advisorians are chosen to represent the state of the country, by way of a census. There are portions of each political party, each demographic, and so forth. They are considered the voice of the people.

The country's court system hinges on the highest court, the Judiciary. Much like the American Supreme Court, lower courts will have the most controversial cases passed up to here. There are eleven Judicians, who are selected from all ends of the political spectrum, so as to keep things fair.

The Judicians are selected by the highest word of law in the country, the Korpalos. The Korpalos is a very closed-off inner circle, of the most intelligent people in the country. The admissions process, the exact number of members, and most of the data on it is kept top secret.

Heroica is divided up into 72 provinces, which have their own systems of government. MegaMetro is contained within the New Blox Province and is the capital.

CLIMATE:
MegaMetro is in an area that is sort of like New England-rocky soil, colder winters, and trading, fishing, and whaling are the main industries. There is an entire area of about 10-15 provinces that are like this, along with the north coast. They are called the Noromanas Provinces. There is one exception-the province of Jastara, which is on a very far north island. It is extremely cold and not many people live all the way up there. Besides that one province, Noromanas Provinces have a high population density.

The middle of Heroica is grouped into the Teratari Provinces, where the soil is relatively rich. Farming is a decent industry here, as is ranching. 30-40 provinces. Rather populous, but not as much as Noromanas. There are many large factories in this area.

The remaining southern area is known as the Seconan Provinces. These are larger and have a low population density. The soil is rich, and the growing season is long, so there are lots of cash crops being planted.

Heroica is on its own continent, and there are only a few isolated islands in the rest of the world. The planet is called Oberon. It orbits the Sun, and there's a Moon (Just cuz we already call them that, so might as well keep it.) There are some other planets, but there isn't any real interest in space travel yet so nobody's been off of Oberon.
History

PART III-THE HISTORY OF HEROICA, OBERON, AND THE UNIVERSE

Note beforehand that much of this is inspired by REAL SCIENCE! :D

Scientists have deduced, from fossil discoveries, radioactive half-lives, and more the history of the universe.

Their universe follows a real-life theory, the "Oscillating Universe Theory," which states that there are Big Bangs and Big Crunches and that the current state of the universe is in the middle of those. They call their universe Yukkino, after an ancient sky goddess. Yukkino was formed by the Great Explosion, which sent superheated matter in all directions. Oberon formed from a massive chunk of rock. Much like the Earth, the cooling lava on its surface released gases, which caused the gradual formation of oceans and a rudimentary atmosphere. In these oceans, prokaryotes existed, a type of bacteria that can survive even the harshest conditions and use photosynthesis to produce food. The oxygen released from their photosynthesis created the first oxygen, which soon formed an atmosphere. Before long, oxygen-dependent life roamed Oberon, which was split into many continents. Humans evolved from apes, much as they did on the Earth. There are basically the same animals.

However, this is where the timeline diverges. Seeing as there were many broken-up continents, early humans were quite isolated. The ones that evolved were never in direct competition, as they were too far apart. Slowly, many different intelligent species evolved, each with their own adaptations that made them ideal for taking control of Oberon. Yet when a supervirus, known as the Withering due to the flesh decay it caused, spread across the world, all but a few were eradicated. These few were the Hominus, the Trasans, and the Soderani. Of these three, all shared tool usage, basic habitats, and teamwork. Hominus reached spoken language first, while the Soderani became adept in written language. Trasans evolved neither, and soon "dropped out" of the evolutionary race. The Hominus and Soderani soon created their own languages, but it was the Hominus who won, through an unexpected factor. The Hominus gained "extravolution," meaning that some members of the species developed mysterious mutations, resulting in strange powers. These "extravolutions" are believed to be the root of modern-day superpowers. The Soderani still exist but have devolved into little more than apes.

Meanwhile, the Hominus continued to evolve, until creating the first civilizations. The very first is believed to be the Ghanar, a group of twelve tribes who came together and developed a common language, known as the Proto-Linguaran. The Ghanar were nomads, who lived in primitive huts. They herded yaks and wove their clothing from their fur. The Ghanar moved across the land, killing enemy Hominus and eating all the grass with their yaks. They were the discoverers of fire but didn't contribute much to civilization otherwise. The real innovation came when a boy named Tengu discovered the properties of yak dung as fertilizer. When he grew into a man, he persuaded members of the Ghanar to follow him and adapt a new lifestyle. They created a nation called Yaramas, which practiced agriculture. Because they had settled down, they soon began to create stone tools, which they used to mine into the earth and discover bronze. The Yaramasians also quarried stone to build small houses, which were the first real structures. Tengu was their leader, and his children were the next rulers, effectively establishing a monarchy.

The Yaramasians were attacked by the next civilization, Qiana. Qiana had advanced beyond Yaramas's standards. With iron tools and the first boats, they soon explored the world. There were three continents at the time: Aroni, Jastaran, and Rinan, which were very close together. Qiana was located on Jastaran. Qiana conquered Yaramas easily. Meanwhile, the civilization of Uulon developed on Aroni, and Kormanor became the primary country in Rinan. The three clashed in many great wars but were locked in an eternal struggle. However, a period known as the Enlightenment occurred, when religious leaders traveled between the three, preaching peace. A partial peace was achieved, but a revolution occurred in Uulon, overthrowing the leaders and causing the wars to reopen. The new leadership of Uulon was ineffective, and they were conquered. However, Kormanor and Qiana were still fighting. But when the Second Age of Power came around, there were many superhumans on the side of Kormanor, or Divine Envoys, as they were known. Kormanor defeated Qiana and became the only country. Yet there were many anti-Kormanor sentiments, as about 2/3s of the population were from different countries. A revolution occurred, and the country of Heroica was established. (Quick technology update: This was about the tech level of the 1700s.) Heroica and Kormanor clashed in more battles, but soon there was a peaceful compromise reached. Yet an economic collapse in Kormanor led Heroica to become the dominant country in the world.

I see... nothing! I suppose it's good that there's no crime. But my life would change very much if the crime rate was permanently low. They wouldn't have a need for people like me. People with powers. The Divine Envoys. At least that's what they called superhumans in my history class. I guess I'll just enjoy the park.

I morph back into a dog, and walk around the park. I don't want to draw attention in my normal form, or people will recognize me as Sir Dre. Better to stay undercover, during a mission, and not during a mission.

The Midnight Walker

I'd get my sketchbook out, flipping the pages until I find space. I'd get my gel pens ready.

Suddenly, I'd see a dog (I'm referring to Sir Dre) I'd pat it on the head, then begin my drawing.

Where would imagination take me today?

Sir Dre

Aaaaagggh, I hate it when idiots pet me. Maybe it's better to stay as a human. Or, maybe not. That guy looked suspicious. Villain, perhaps? I transform into a mouse, and follow the guy who pet me.

TheGhostlyPirate TheGhostlyPirate

The Midnight Walker

I'd finish my drawing, packing my supplies in my backpack. A mouse was.......Staring at me.. I didn't really like it.

I felt my stomach rumble, so I walked to a nearby cafè, ordered tea and sugar biscuits, and sat down to eat my snack.

I didn't notice it, but the mouse was still there.

(Just so you know, on this thread is the setting of the RP, and descriptions of the places in MegaMetro, where the story takes place. Inferno (Golden's character) and I were previously at Thorpton Park. In this next post, I leave Thorpton Park to follow you into the café.)

Sir Dre

He arrives at a café. Strange. What would the guy want at a tea café? I scamper behind the building, and morph into an ant. There's a window nearby. It's open. Suddenly, it comes. I have the perfect idea!

I crawl up the wall, and into the window. It appears that I'm in a kitchen of some sort. A waitress is preparing tea and biscuits. I turn back into my normal form, and swing a punch at the waitress, knocking her out. Immediately, I disguise my self to look just like the waitress. My powers let me turn into other humans. I grab the tray with the food, and begin to bring it out.

There's my guy. He has the sketchbook. Slowly walking up, I throw the food at him, and turn back into my normal form.

"Look, criminal. What's your deal here?"

The Midnight Walker

'Criminal, what?'

The nerves get the best of me, I run out of the cafe to a nearby alleyway, leaving my bag on the seat.

I realise I left my bag, but I couldn't risk seeing that waiter again.

I sit there, hiding myself behind a bin.

(Btw, you know I'm not a criminal, right?)

(Of course, I'm just trying to build some action.)

Sir Dre

I glance at the bag, and grab it, slinging it on my shoulder. I run after the criminal, following him into an alley. He's cornered. I've got this in the bag.

"I said, what's your deal here? Who are you, and who are you affiliated with? What's in the bag?" I demand, thrusting the bag towards him.

TheGhostlyPirate TheGhostlyPirate

The Midnight Walker

'Honestly, I have no idea what you're talking about, I just have my drawing supplies and my wallet! I live here, leave me alone!'

I'd clench my eyes, hoping for it to be a dream.

What was he doing?

Sir Dre

Liar. I could sense that he was an Envoy.

"You sure you don't have powers, or something? I can feel it. I have the gift too. I can transform into anything I please. I was the dog. I was the mouse. I was the phony waitress. You sure you don't have the gift?"

The Midnight Walker

I'd slightly snigger, but of a nervous sort.

'Powers? C'mon, you're just a geeky wannabe'

I'd pause, thinking my every move, then slowly get up.

Sir Dre

Grrrrr! He just messed with Sir Dre. I morph into a cheetah, and stalk him. In an animal form, I can still speak English.

"Run, if you dare. You can't go against the fastest mammal on Oberon, the cheetah. Take that back, or surrender. I promise I'll give you a safe ride to jail, buddy."

The Midnight Walker

'You can't take me to jail, I haven't done anything wrong' I'd say with a sly look on my face.

'Go on, attack an innocent and YOU'LL be the one in jail!'

Before I could realise what I just said, I paused, staring at the cheetah.

Silly fool. I work with the government. I am immune, you could say, to jail.

"Fool! I work with the government, with the police department. I can't go to jail for bringing in a suspect! I know you have powers. I will take you in to the AVD if I have to!"

I'd stay still, bearly breathing

'Fine, you got me, but I 'aint no criminal, mate'

I'd walk out of the alleyway, unamused.

(Lol i forgot, so..)

The Midnight Walker

Sir Dre

I pounce at the man, pinning him to the ground with my cheetah frame.

"If you have powers, the Department of Research will want to investigate. The government will want you to work with them. I am to call them to tell the AVD president that I've found a new recruit, which I will do so."

I turn back into my human form. To make sure escape is inevitable, I put my foot on his back, dividing my weight my foot, keeping him pinned down. I whip out my cell phone from my pocket.

"Dre here. I may have found another Envoy. I'm calling for the AVD and the Department of Research. Come to the cafe near Thorpton Park, ASAP."

I hang up.

Sir Dre

I see them coming. That was quick. After all, the AVD has the means of quick transportation. Not to mention the AVD police deployed all over the city. By the looks of it, there are several AVD officers. And a couple scientists from the Department of Research. They are coming towards me.

"Who's this guy, Dre?"

"It's an Envoy. Though he denied his powers, I can feel it. What are you going to do with him?" I ask.

An officer cuffs the man, and uses a taser on him, leaving the man unconscious. "We'll run some experiments on him, and then convince him to work with us."

I nod. I think I'll come with them. The police carry the man into a car of some sort. I turn into a falcon. I haven't been to the AVD HQ in years, but I know where it is.

The Midnight Walker

You awaken in some sort of laboratory. You are tied to a chair, bound by steel loops of chain. Above you, you can see a window, where some people are spectating. You can see the shape shifter who attacked you, and some others. Inside the lab, your chair is connected to some type of high tech equipment, though you don't know what it is. Some scientists are milling about in the lab.

The Midnight Walker

'W..What's happening?' I'd mumble, adjusting my view.

I'd realise I'm tied up

'Let me go!' I'd scream, looking at the spectators.

(Should I accidently activate my powers, or are the scientists going to force me to?)

(Scientists will run some experiments.)

The Midnight Walker

The AVD overseers and Sir Dre- you figured that was the man's name- watched as you struggled. Some even laughed in amusement. One AVD spectator stepped up. It was the grand overseer of the Department of Research. That guy was a ranking figure of the Department of Research. He worked very closely with both the president of the Department of Research, and the president of the AVD. He stepped up, and spoke.

"For denying powers of some sort, you have been brought here, to the Anti Villain Department headquarters. This is the same place where the Department of Research conducts experiments on Envoys such as, say, you! We will find your powers, and you may even be tested on by the AVD, if they feel the need to. Start the experiment!" the grand overseer commanded.

A scientist in the lab nodded, and started to tug on some lever. He pulled it, and you instantly felt your chair vibrating, the chains tightening, and electricity flowing through the chair. Another device seemed to grab your head, where your brain was. Another pressed against your hands, and your heart. Something was happening, indeed. You screamed in agony, as the many machines operated, and as the spectators watched.

After a couple minutes, another scientist ran in, and pulled the lever up. The electricity stopped, and you were okay. The grand overseer stepped up, looking at a tablet.

"You are the master of levitation, and can fly at your will. Do you admit to have hidden these powers from Dre?"

(For the opening minor arc of the series, I introduce my new villain, Mr. Magnet, who has magnetic powers!)

Mr. Magnet

Soon, my plan will come to life. I will bury the city under debris. I will apology my magnetic powers, and this city will pay for the way it ruined my high school life! Every single person will pay, hero or innocent. Even the villains. See, I'm on my own. I don't work with anyone else. I work alone.

The AVD HQ. They have many devices here. I will steal a power amplifier. I leap up on top of the building. My suit may be bulky, but it isn't that heavy. I raise my hands up, and tear a section of the roof off. I jump through the hole.

So many guards. No way I'll get my prize by stealth. I yell, and tear off sections of the roof, throwing them at guards. Most of them collapse. Ah. I've reached the vault. It's locked. I walk over to one of the guards that I knocked down.

"You. Open this door, or else."

Terrified, he opens the door for me. I thwack him with the staff, and he falls to the ground. Maybe dead? I don't know. I walk through the door. Perfect! All of the AVD's creations, right here! Where is my amplifier? I see it. It's a band, made of gold. I slide it onto my forearm. Perfect!

Suddenly, the alarm starts blaring. Uh oh, I better leave at once. I rip off a section of the floor, also metal, and step on it. It'll serve as my getaway. Using my powers, I guide the piece of the floor through the city, until I reach my destination. The top of Central Finance. Highest point in the entire city. This is the easiest place to summon space debris. I'll arrive there soon, I hope.

Sir Dre

The alarm starts blaring. Something's going on. Scientists start running all over the place. The overseers leave the building. It's just me and the man left in the room.

"Breach in sector 6, breach in sector 6!" The alarm keeps repeating. I break the glass window, and hop down into the laboratory. I push a buttons, and the chains binding the man fall off.

"Say, you have levitation powers. Let's track down that thief for good. What do you say?"
