• Use imgur for the image links. Some sites are blocked where the GM lives (pinterest is buggy).
• If you cannot find the original source for your character's image, simply just put www.google.com.
• Additionally, it'd be appreciated if you were to use an illustration that is under the category of anime.

• Formula for img_position: (X) (Y) | 0% -> 100% (left to right) , 0% -> 100% (top to bottom)
     — 50% 50% would be equivalent of just centering the image.

• Formula for img_size: (X) (Y) | 100% (perfectly fits the image according to the width) , 100% (same but with height)
     — To resize the image, I'd recommend playing with the X variable instead of the Y. Keep Y as auto.
     — Additionally, if you would prefer the cut the image to fit the image box, simply replace both variables and put: --img_size: cover;

;--clip_01: polygon(0 10%, 100% 0, 100% 90%, 0 100%); --clip_02: polygon(0 0, 100% 0, 100% 100%, 4.6% 100%, 4.6% 0, 4% 0, 4% 100%, 0 100%); --bg: url('https://i.imgur.com/hFBqbsg.jpg'); --fr1: drop-shadow(7px 7px 2px rgba(0 0 0 / 54%)); --divw: clamp(250px, 100%, 580px); --b: 1px solid rgba(191 204 217 / 55%); --p: 6px 9px 7px; --f: normal 300 16px Roboto Condensed; overflow: hidden; cursor: url('https://i.imgur.com/y192aVU.png'), pointer][border=0; border-top: 40px solid #000; border-bottom: 40px solid #000; padding: 45px 0; box-sizing: border-box; height: 100%; background: var(--bg) no-repeat right 35%; background-size: cover][border=0; padding: 0; display: flex; flex-flow: row wrap; justify-content: space-evenly; width: clamp(250px, 100%, 900px); box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0 auto][border=0; padding: 0; box-sizing: border-box; width: 240px; height: 500px; filter: var(--fr1)][border=0; padding: 0; height: 100%; background: var(--character) no-repeat var(--img_position); background-size: var(--img_size); clip-path: var(--clip_01)][/border][/border][border=0; padding: 52px 0 0; box-sizing: border-box; width: var(--divw); height: 490px; overflow: hidden; position: relative; margin: 0 8px][border=0; padding: 0; height: 6px; position: absolute; top: 3%; left: 0; right: 18px; background: #d2d7f0; clip-path: var(--clip_02)][/border][border=0; padding: 0; position: absolute; top: 4.5%; left: 0; right: 18px; display: flex; flex-flow: row wrap; font: normal 700 9px Jost; line-height: 1; color: #2d3c86][border=0; padding: 3px 6px; width: fit-content; background: #d2d7f0; margin: 2px 1px 2px 0]★★★★★[/border][comment]

Imperial Security Directorate
Organization Type: Imperial Agency
About: The Imperial Security Directorate (ISD) is a domestic Empyrian agency similar to that of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. They have active agents in every province, exercising the law to their fullest potential.

Their current biggest targets are the Arcalion Syndicate (Global) and the Sishén Yakuza (Zhenra).

Kaiser Knight Order (Full)
Organization Type: Provincial Investigation Force (Aucteraden)
About: An elite force of six individuals chosen by the Collbrande of Aucteraden to act as their right hand. They are a provincial investigation force capable of neutralizing threats with the aid of the ISD. All members of the KKO are leagues above the common soldier.

Vanguards of Imperius (Recommended)
Organization Type: Provincial Paramilitary (Elesrith)
About: Similar to the Knights, the Vanguards are a group of 15 individuals that answer only to the Collbrande of Elesrith. They are former champions of the Imperius Tournament of Valor that takes place every 5 years.

The difference between the Knights and the Vanguards is that the latter helps govern Elesrith as the main bodies of the provincial government. Thus, they are politically more powerful than the Knights, who are agents of the law. However, the Knights are more respected amongst the people.

Iscariots of Solarian
Organization Type: Private Mercenary Group
About: Empyria shelters hundreds of mercenary conglomerates around the world, but none are as prestigious as the Iscariots, as their background spans over the course of 600 years. They were found by the famous Solarian Zervictus, one of the first generation Collbrandes, during the Foundation Era.

The operators are capable of piloting mechs, aircrafts, and the majority of land vehicles. They also own various Ascalons (mechas) ranging from first generations to fourth generation prototypes.

There are 22 members, excluding the leader. They use the ranking system of Major Arcana.

DESCRIPTION
A young new hire of the Iscariots. Delpher is a self-taught master of the bow and arrow who was born into a common working family and continually dreams of prestige and fame. He has an optimistic worldview and loves to work in a team and help other people, even if they do not like to work with him.

Delpher is enthusiastic, energetic, and determined to someday do great things -- much to the chagrin of those around him. He likes to think of himself as an all-important archer warrior and divine psychic whose fighting prowess and metaphysical talent will one day save the world (with such delusions only being fuelled further upon being chosen as an Iscariot of Solarian due to his, all things considered, genuine combat skill). Delpher practices a bastardized version of Shintoism, consisting of little more than meaningless rituals, as his family has not practiced their indigenous religion for generations since immigrating to Empyria. He is also convinced that he is a kitsune and will live for a thousand years and gain nine tails; this is not true, and he is a regular fox Hyzurian with a regular lifespan and a mere one tail, just like the rest of his family.
PLAYER NOTES
- This is definitely a "bunny ears lawyer" kind of situation.
- Maybe I'm overshooting on his importance to the storyline but I think it would be neat to have Delpher fail at something important, like having a teammate be killed or a village destroyed in front of him or something, and to have it be his fault, forcing him to consider the consequences of his irresponsible and immature behaviour and how truly not special he is.
- It would also be acceptable to have him be the one killed due to his failure to live up to his own expectations. I think a tragically unfinished character arc is really compelling too.
- Nobody in canon would know about this initially of course, but I thought maybe a good backstory for why Delpher is the way he is is that his oldest brother (or is father more compelling?) killed himself when Delpher was a young child due to how powerless he felt in life, and Delpher deluded himself into believing he was worth something so that he wouldn't have to confront the reality of, yeah, how difficult life can be when you're from a working-class common family with no royal blood or magic ability.
- Not quite sure how the codenames stuff works but in my head I thought it was funny if he came up with the codename Zenko for himself lol. "Good fox" yeah buddy I'm sure you are lmao
- I have a habit of being bad at matching the vibe of my characters to the vibe of the plot, so I am willing to come back and change things if more of the canon plotline is revealed and it turns out I'm way off base haha.
- I know a bow and arrow isn't super futuristic or advanced but if I remember correctly the lore page said Empyria likes to combine new technology with old weapons like swords/bows/etc. Please correct me if I'm wrong lol.
- I haven't settled entirely on a theme song but I'm tempted by An Immortal Emperor In a Mundane Universe because, I mean, come on.
- I'm definitely super into all the lore and worldbuilding going on here. I will admit I am not the smartest and sometimes have trouble keeping track of the fine details, but I do always try my best to understand the ins and outs of it all.
- I'm in it for the long haul! 100% willing to stick around till the end. (I've stuck around since Traumathir already lol!)

DESCRIPTION

Sasha Eardley Dupaulis, codename Pixie, is the de facto combat specialist of the Iscariots of Solarian. Though she remains at a fairly humble rank due to her relative FNG status, she maintains one of the highest scores throughout the board (piloting, driving, and marksmanship) amongst her peers. Her small frame and waif-like figure might have given her the deceptive call sign Pixie, but her presence in any combat situation cannot be overlooked. A bastard child of an unknown noble and a common maid, Sasha turned to mercenary work at the young age of 16 to earn her keep, just to provide for her mother and herself, having been turned away from her father's family. While she managed to afford a rather comfortable life for both of them, Elisha Dupaulis would pass away from a sudden illness that neither of them had foreseen. Without anyone to pay the bills for, Sasha throws herself into her work, embracing the danger and chaos. She was picked up by the Iscariots of Solarian after felling one of their own in his mech, while on foot and alone, a feat that wasn't exactly common amongst Exhelians, much less a normal human. Usurping his place in the Iscariots, Sasha would go on to etch her name amongst them as a star pilot and proficient combatant. Sasha has long since abandoned any ideals of revenge against nobility, and seems to be enjoying her life as a soldier of fortune, but there are doubts on this. Refer to psych eval below. As it stands, Sasha has no real ambitions and lives her life one day at a time. She wants something more, but without anyone or anything to push her forwards, she couldn't care enough.

Psychological evaluations have assessed that operator Dupaulis harbors no psychological issues that need to be addressed. She views her job as a private military contractor as nothing more than a job, and wisely keeps her social life separate from her professional one, believing that being unable to discern the difference between both is a handicap she does not need. She harbours no ill will towards her targets or enemies, and recognises the fact that she may just as well be their ally the next day, depending on the highest bidding client. She also understands the difference between good and bad, but payment is payment. Every pull of the trigger, to Pixie, has no personal feelings behind them. She carries herself with impartial professionalism, and rarely lets her emotions cloud her duty, maintaining a level head even in situations of high stress. On the social front, Dupaulis is quiet, but well adjusted. She is a better listener than she is a talker. She claims her own personal life as 'rather boring', and does not tend to reveal much about it for said reason. Records do show that she is speaking the truth- her life is quite dull, and her job is the one thing that keeps it interesting. She claims she doesn't mind the tedium of an everyday life where she comes back to her apartment and sleeps off her exhaustion while waiting for her next assignment, but it is clear that she finds combat to be her true calling. Without a proper reason to fight for outside of money, however, she merely enjoys the motions of it, and this disillusionment is causing occasional lapses in focus. No advice can or should be given to Dupaulis. This is something she has to find herself, or die before she does.
PLAYER NOTES
It's fairly obvious, but Pixie needs something or someone to give her the jumpstart she desperately needs, whether it's revenge, progress, or something else. She's very driven by incentives, and is rather calculative when it comes to it, but it might just be her making excuses. She wants to find her father, and wants to meet the rest of her extended family, but there's zero incentive to it, or so she says. It's more likely that she's scared of actually having strong negative feelings.

As a combat operator of a PMC, it's more than highly likely that she's suited for combat operations, be it bodyguarding, skirmishes, or escorting. Speaking of which, she also still has much to learn. She may be one of the best operatives around on paper, but her repertoire of tricks are limited, as compared to senior members of Iscariots and other organisation members, and it would be nice if she picks things up from them.

Lore is boring, I did not read a single dot of it, not even a single period. It's boring pee pee poo poo, I am definitely not lurking around the Google docs version of it waiting for updates, so there, you can take it and shove it.

As long as the very end actually manifests, I'm game to stick around, babyyy.

DESCRIPTION

Lilianna does many things, few of them actually involving direct combat. Scouting, infiltration, intel gathering, all the fun stuff. While decently capable with long ranged weaponry and firearms, she prefers to leave the combat to others and stick to the background work, only entering the fray to eliminate a particularly tricky enemy. She treats the job as just that, a job, merely a way to survive that happens to fit her skillset. Lilianna isn’t interested in climbing the ladder, potentially into a firestorm of internal politics and riskier field deployments.

Lilianna is highly reclusive about her personal life. Though she can and will talk your ear off given half a chance, she will drive the conversation to be about anything other than her. Her demeanor is describable as “friendly, but not a friend,” being fairly slow to trust. Despite an appearance of outgoing cheerfulness, she is more of a calm and observant person, thinking with her head rather than her heart, barring the occasional moment where she snaps. Lilianna prefers to think of herself as a realist, though it occasionally slips into pessimism.

PLAYER NOTES

I plan on giving Lilianna a backstory rooted in being a straight up criminal, assuming that’s ok. If this is allowed, I’ll say she was part of a major gang under a false identity and faked her death in a failed bank robbery, before resurfacing to join the Iscariots, trying to run from her past. I’ll change her title to not be The Fool if it doesn’t fit the lore.

Very interested. The lore is pretty cool, but I am terrible at keeping track of important details.

I intend to stay until the end.

THINGS I'M NOT SURE ABOUT
- I intend to make this a character with a Exousiarch but I have no idea what Houses exist
- I have no idea what ranks exist in the Imperial Army
- No idea how Knights are ranked, give me 3 or 5 whichever fits better
- I forgot how education and transition into imperial army worked (especially if special rules/conditions existed for those with Exousiarchs)

HISTORY
- 676: Born
- 694: Graduated right into the Military at Age 18
- 697: Participated in the Raignork War at Age 21
- 700 to 709: Pheles and her squad had been sent out to deliver secure documents and keys to [REDACTED]. On the way, she found an underground bunker that wasn't marked on their maps or records, and investigated it. It was lab of sorts, likely abandoned, but it was evident that some human experimentation had taken place at some point. There was a lone terminal found, and Pheles was able to access it - not because she was particularly skilled, but because the system recognized her bloodline to be the same as the ADMIN. She lied to the rest of the squad about the discoveries she made though, and left the army shortly after, determined to confront the evils and dangers closer to home.

REPUTATION
- The people of Aucteraden recognize her as the coldblooded woman who killed her own sister and the man she was supposedly engaged to - all for the sake of the Empire.
- Her House cannot afford to disown her, and other Houses are wary, perceiving her as insufferably righteous; merciless (only in Aucteraden)
- The Knights probably refer to her as 'Dumbass'

PERSONALITY
- She has only ever known life in the army, as such she is always in awe of the incredible progress and innovations of Seraphiel. Left to her own devices, she could easily just sit on a roof for a day, just watching and listening to every little minute movement of the city at peace.
- She's pretty vicious when she's working. As she is no healer, no builder, and no scientist, she knows that she must excel in being able to fight off all the hindering elements and criminal scum that threaten the things that need to be protected.
- She is easily distracted by things that no one should care about, finds excitement even in the most mundane of things. If you weren't part of the Knights you'd assume she was a Shut-In for all her life. (ie. Traffic Drones got an update, and changed the colour of their plating, she did not shut up about this for at least a week making sure that every Knight knew about it.)
- She can't leave a job half-done. She must come to a decision, an outcome, even if it is a hard one, it's better to act than to contemplate and wait.

MOTIVATIONS
- "This is an execution ground, where all still gather, no matter how many fall. I could slay thousands ... tens of thousands ... hundreds of thousands ... or even a million, and the desire of evil will never dwindle."
- She wants to take down some of the corrupt politicians of Aucteraden, starting with her own House. The end result she hopes for is probably reducing the 'human cost' of innovation, or the private profits that could better serve the people, province and empire.
- She believes she will need to unlock Phase 3 to achieve her goals, or if only just to strongarm her own House, but she is also hesitant because she figures something like that is better served for War than messy politics

FIGHTING
- Relentless. No way but forward. The kind of person that wouldn't mind holding a line, and often sees herself as the one best to do so.
- Favours large and heavy bladed weapons (polearms/greatsword), has been often seen slinging around a large machete attached to a sturdy chain.
- Can only use shotguns and heavy pistols with any kind of respectable results.
PLAYER NOTES
RANDOM NOTES
- I imagine that her sister and the man she was engaged to was part of the mess that is the Scarlet Era and the 'commonwealth realms trying to get lucky and bring home a Cataract user'

DEVELOPMENT
- Unlocking Phase 3! And if I get more info on Collbrandes, maybe she might set her sights on Phase3+ and becoming Collbrande.
- Forgot to add: Action! Fighting! This girl sucks at stealth!
- Not sure what House Pheles belongs to, but I think she wants the House to look into bio-med development and healthcare just to make up for the human experimentation she found her sister had gotten involved in

INTEREST
- I'm someone who never has patience to read google documents of other people's lore and worlds, this is the only one I've actively reached out for more almost on a daily basis. I know I'm interested and that I'm hungry for more.

PARTICIPATION
- Here till the end for sure.

Nina has been a part of the Kaiser Knight Order just long enough to not be considered a new addition, yet hasn't acquired quite all the experience she needs to be a "veteran", so she simply floats in between. This doctrine of greyness could be applied to almost all of her skills (relative to her co-knights, of course), with the notable exception of hand-to-hand combat. Nina is a hand-to-hand specialist with decades of training in multiple martial arts disciplines, and would risk attempting to disarm her enemy over a equally-equipped battle any day. Regardless, her role is not one she takes lightly. The valor it bestows upon her family name is not lost on her. However, she has a very limited view of this valor in her mind: she doesn't seek explicitly to expand it and certainly not to shrink it. That being said, she is poised to strike for the former at the very moment it is requested of her.

Once Nina steps away from the name "Jammy" and everything else related to her KKO position, any greyness disappears from her. The hallmark of her personality is her humor, which is constant as well as constantly childish and inappropriate. It is... not exactly charming. Even when the situation calls for it, she simply can't stop herself from having a little fun, much to the detriment of her personal and professional relationships. While many have marked this as disrespect, Nina doesn't so much as disrespect her superiors than simply not understand why she needs to conceal herself around them. Either way she doesn't have much desire to change. Asides from her small respect-related behavioral issues, she's very diligent, as was drilled into her by her parents. She carries her name and status as a member of the House of Valor [[note: please let me know if this does not work with lore or anything, just throwing ideas out there]] with full understanding of the power they bring her, despite her mixed background.
PLAYER NOTES
- I would love for Nina to have lots of chances at action and combat within the plot, with some character development. If possible, I think exploring her reasoning for even taking part in any of this would be fun, as it was really just pushed onto her by her parents and she does stuff to please them. But ultimately I want her primary focus to be being an active catalyst for the plot.
- Sidenote: Not sure if this is possible, but having her be a failed (but close) participant in the Tournament of Valor would be pretty cool. Again not sure if this is possible because maybe they die if they lose lol.
- Would also be fun to develop her Cataract

- Stunning lore as always, really interested in more history and just stuff about the Collbrandes LMAO. Definitely interested in the concept, action, and lore.
- Definitely planning on staying.

When Aizu was only ten years old, she watched her world die.

Sometimes, even now, in the stillness of the evening, or the fading ends of her dreams before the morning wakes her, those visions return. The sound of executions, of gunfire in the streets. The endless wail of raid sirens. The pain in her chest and the burning in her legs as she ran, endlessly ran. The last glimpse of her best friend's tangled red hair as she was pulled out of sight by Empyrian soldiers. The sight of her parents from the interior of an evacuation craft, the safety of their daughter as the hatch slid closed comprising their single solace. The flash of light, blinding, as a planet's worth of souls disappeared in an instant.

Aizu had always learned that worlds died slowly. Their stars fell away over millions of years. Their people left for greener pastures aboard grand colony ships, signaling new possibilities. Their shorelines eroded, and their atmospheres clouded with dust and gas. Her world died in as much time as it took for her to shed her first tear over it. By the time it had wet the ground, everything she and those aboard that craft had ever had was gone.

The memories that follow after are blurred, unloved; the sound of jeering Empyrians, the feelings of stones to the head and arms. Homes that did not feel like homes, all colorless in the context of her mind. Flowers in the sand and wooden crosses in the dirt, handmade memorials to memories the victors did not care to remember. Tears in her eyes at the manifestation of Holy magic, coveted by a populace that worshipped the very system that ripped away her way of life. A cruel twist of fate. Dirtied hands.

As she grew, her anger found a focus. The paradox of her surrounds twisted at her gut, breeding kindness that sprung from spite; no matter how many stones came her way, if she returned a single blow in response, her detractors would scream hypocrisy, that she was no better than they for her retaliation. So, she shrugged off their blows. She greeted them with smiles. She lived for their infuriation as their methods lost their effect on her. She devoted time to serving enclaves of Raignork refugees, and trained fervently so she may protect them. She took a position as a guardsman, and sacrificed her modest salary to better the lives of her lost countrymen.

Her horizons broadened, and more fell under her wing of care; Saygiens still lamenting the binding of their freedoms. Empyrian veterans with bodies ravaged by wars they had come to regret fighting. Her resentment shifted toward the yoke of ideology that motivated people to take eyes for eyes, to execute the uninvolved, to strangle the desire for freedom. There needed to be someone strong enough to protect the people from the system, and protect the system from itself.

Her ever-kind exterior became more genuine. Her drive for improvement became practically inhuman. The only way she would be able to raise herself to a rank where she could even dream of being the internal protector she felt was needed was if she managed to surpass what was practically the entire planet. Even as she relentlessly trained, she still made time for her good works, something which greatly increased her reputation amongst the downtrodden. Though she primed herself for a debut for a debut in the Tournament of Valor, her time never came--instead, she was given the opportunity to become the sixth Kaiser Knight. To this day, her acceptance remains a mystery to her. An olive branch to the dissatisfied, perhaps, or the leveraging of her reputation with more insular, less cooperative communities. To Aizu, it only matters so much. As long as she does not let Knighthood change her, as long as she remembers why she is there, as long as she makes the most of her opportunity--perhaps she will be able to usher in change after all.

Yet, despite her sincerity and cheerful goodwill, only time will tell if she manages to endear herself to her new companions in the Order, as well as those she works alongside.

PLAYER NOTES

• Generally I prefer for character actions to be freeform and spontaneously occur in response to the plot, acting and reacting as the character would in the situations that they find themselves in. However, if I had to choose what sorts of things Aizu might find themselves in, I would like for their loyalty to be tested, and for the dark side of the Empire to be explored via finding people in conditions similar to herself and realizing that her individual faith and action cannot save them all. Despite the fact that she's likely the greenest of the Kaisers, rank advancement isn't something that I'm particularly looking forward to (though figuring out the true or full nature of Aizu's family's history on Raignork could be interesting). Rather, I would want her to have a solid role in driving the plot forward, influencing key moments, and making key decisions alongside the other players.

• I am very picky in terms of the things that I join, and thus only apply to games that I feel will be entertaining or interesting for one reason or another, so I would like to think that my application serves as signal of my dedicated interest in any game that I join. Usually, I find that the characters and their interactions make for the meat of any given roleplay, but I am nonetheless glad that the lore is robust enough for quality characters to be created.

• I do not drop roleplays as a general rule, and will thus be around for as long as everyone else is around.

Sain is one of the ISD's newer agents, having only been inducted into the agency a few months prior. Before his appointment as an investigator for the directorate, Sain served as a detective within one of Aucteraden's wards. Despite his best efforts to remain inconspicuous and otherwise un-scrutinized by the powers that be, Sain's comptence as an investigator and his high success rates ultimately forced him into a meteoric rise towards the upper ranks - ultimately landing him within the Bureau of Internal Affairs in the Aucteraden Police Department. His tenacity at rooting out dirty cops and conspiratous dealings during his time there brought him before the Directorate. Rather impressive considering his intentions to remain as low on the totem pole of law enforcement as possible.

Normally, Sain is a listless individual. He hates doing more work than what's necessary and is only truly punctual when it comes to clocking out. If he's not out in the field, you'll likely find him sleeping in his car or at his desk. This disposition is precisely why he silently despises his appointment in the ISD - they ask far more of him and are far more watchful when it comes to his slovenly habits. Still, when the occasion calls for it, this agent will put his all into the case at hand. One of his core philosophies is 'working as hard as possible to laze about later'. He'll do the work that's asked of him if it means he can spend the rest of his day at his own discretion. That mindset has also bled into his fighting style; there's no need for a second or third strike if the first kills them outright.
PLAYER NOTES
- In my head, Sain is ultimately a pinball for the plot to shoot around - especially as an agent for the ISD. Having him do some actual investigating when the situation demands it would be nice, but combat would be just as exciting to write for the pseudo-vampire. And while his ultimately loyalties lie with his paycheck, challenging his own allegiances could make for interesting scenarios to write.
- The lore is incredibly extensive, and I'm ultimately curious about the scale of the RP and where each arc will lead such a varied cast of characters.
- I'll be around as long as the RP keeps chugging along, hopefully until the end.

Not much is known about knight Shiro 'Breaker' Yamagata, supposedly he's an experienced agent who has served for a fairly long time. Enough to gather a hush-hush reputation about his torture methods. There are some bits and pieces people can gather if they know what to look for or where to look. For example: During the interrogation of a prisoner, he once mentioned that he belonged to nobility. Whether he was telling the truth or simply manipulating the subject is unknown. Nobody has ever seen him take off that unnerving mask which always seems to break then reassemble itself like a magnetically powered machine. His crimson eyes shift and turn when he looks at you, ordinary people find it hard to face him.

Despite his fearsome appearance, The Fabled Breaker of The Kaizer is downright a sociable person. He is neither shy nor introverted. Many have noted that, during battle, he seems to exhume an optimistic effect on his compatriots—leading others while being at their side. Though he is a knight and thus lacks substantial political sway in the upper reaches of politics, he keeps an ear to the ground in case of shake-ups that might affect the Order. Secretly, he possesses a fondness for brain-rotting entertainment works that are prevalent in the homes of dregs.

His modus operandi in combat is the overwhelming utilisation of shadowmancy: he'll slink away in darkness, only to appear below a foe and drag them to their doom, impale hostiles with spears of thine own shadow, hide allies under an umbral blanket, pressure wounds with bands of shade, and more. He is quite utilitarian in its usage. Breaker is quite fond of pistol firearms; anything from 9x19mm parabellum to the .600 Nitro Express, if it can be fired from a pistol or revolver weapon then he can shoot it or want to shoot it. His favourite sidearm is the Calberry Model 37, a pistol with semi-automatic and full-automatic firing modes.

- I'm here fore the ride, whether we go up and down I'll be along for it. I'll always forewarn if I can't post or if I have a delay in my writing so you don't have to worry about me being suddenly absent. I will not drag things out and if I feel truly the need to abandon ship (a very unlikely scenario), I'll inform you directly.

- For the IC-side of things, I look forward to sharing my interactions with most or all of the cast, I believe that most RPs are founded on the character-by-character interactions and it is these tenants that are vital for their propagation and quality. Through this, I also intend to reveal piecemeal of Breaker if at all possible.

- Aside from the lore, I do expect it to evolve and retain its quality as this story (hopefully) progresses.

DESCRIPTION
An intermediate member of the Vanguards of Imperius who sits in the gorge that lays between greenhornhood and veterancy. Klauss's induction into the organization came with an upset win in the Tournament of Valor that occurred ten years prior, beating out a number of favourites from the military at large and general population both. Her continued employ under the Vanguards is the result, first and foremost, of her competency. She is in the possession of a concerningly intimate understating of the criminal psyche, and in her time as a Vanguard has seen to a significant downturn in organized crime within the territory under her jurisdiction. Klauss's own motivations for her employ under the Vanguards are perhaps less nationalistic than her peers. The longer she remains as a useful pawn to the state, she figures, the longer she'll be able to enjoy the protection and resources of said state. She keeps exactly why she desires those two things muddy, having only confessed the proper extent of her history to the Collbrande of Elesrith, but she's made it clear enough through her efforts that she has no plans on biting the hand that feeds her anytime soon.

Klauss is a much more ungainly character than most of her comrades. She hails from the outermost rim of Empyrian Space, having spent half of her formative years under the employ of a mining station, and the other half on board a deep space trading vessel. She is, as such, bereft of the sense of nobility and dignity that is characteristic of most of her peers, though that isn't to that she's absolutely without a sense of prudence. While her admittance into the Vanguards was allowed only under a keen watch at first, she has since proven herself as a much less troublesome woman than she'd appear. Her time under both industrial and astronautical employ afforded her a strong enough understanding of the importance of organization and obedience that she'll do as she's told, though she'll certainly bicker about it more than most. She, further, tries to ensure that those subordinate to her enjoy and benefit from their employment, and has such collected a number of trustworthy subordinates throughout Elesrith, though the general military's opinion of her remains sour.

PLAYER NOTES
• Given her age, I imagine Klauss as a character who has already gone through her first 'character arc' offscreen. She's not on a journey to discover herself or the like, because as far as she's concerned she already has, but instead pursuing and stamping out the ghosts of her past. I'd also like for her to have history outside of Empyrian Space as she spent several years outside of it as a trader by name and privateer by actuality. All of this isn't to say I don't want her character to develop, that's the main reason I like this hobby after all, it's more than Klauss herself will have her eyes set forward rather than inwards until something spurs her to do otherwise.

• I appreciate that the lore is multifaceted enough to allow for a pretty broad collection of characters, and the fact that this is science fantasy rather than fiction has definitely been a big reason why I decided to join. The bulk of my interest is however in the roleplay itself, as I'm sure that such a broad setting will allow for a pretty colourful cast of characters to interact with and bounce off of.

• I intend to stay until Klauss gets a hole punched in her chest, so until the end if that never happens.

DESCRIPTION
A recent addition to the Vanguards of Imperius, Fehlek was granted the esteemed position after participating in the most recent Tournament of Valor. His unwavering resolve allowed him to endure the pain inflicted upon him during the bloodshed, be it physical slashes traced upon his flesh or mental anguish inflicted as he watched countless men and women cut each other down. As awful as it was, an individual had to numb themselves in events like this and focus on succeeding, no matter the cost. Pulling through by the skin of his teeth, Fehl managed to procure the title of "Champion." However, personal celebration was short-lived, as idle hands cultivated uneasiness within Fehl. Without direction and structure, he would find himself unsatisfied and without a purpose. Fehl's salvation came in the form of the Vanguards — his recent victory in the barbarous tournament making him eligible for the 15th position. After joining, Fehl began to dabble in something which he had seldom regarded as important for a large portion of his life: politics. Under the direction of the Collbrande of Elesrith, it was inevitable for each Vanguard to assist in governing the province, as it is one of their many duties as one of the Vanguards. Unbeknownst to Fehl, politics would become an undertaking he deeply enjoyed. Learning about the inner workings of not only his province, but the entire empire, proved to be something that piqued Fehl's interest. As green as he may be to the Vanguard, the gleam in his eye indicates a genuine curiosity in continued education about governing and the intricacies surrounding it. Furthermore, as out of reach as it may seem, becoming a Collbrande is a goal that provides ample motivation for improvement and continued success. Fehl has latched onto this possibility — for the purpose of both increasing his significance and as a way to show his respect to the empire.

While his interest in politics had recently blossomed, the thrill of the fight is what's truly captured his heart. Fehl's fate was sealed at the tournament, wherein the embers of passion erupted into a wildfire. Fehl is a warrior, through and through. This serves as another objective for him, as he hopes to improve his abilities in combat. He primarily uses blades and occasionally supplements them with small arms, utilizing precision, grace, underhandedness, and brutality in order to get the upper hand on his opponent. When considering his participation in Tournament of Valor, skills like these are practically a necessity.

Family matters are an entirely separate titan. Having been abandoned by his parents before he could even remember their faces, Fehl hopes to eventually find them — not to voice his resentment, but for closure and to communicate how grateful he is. Fehl feels that through his parent's actions, he has become a much stronger person than he otherwise would have been. It forced him to be independent and taught him self-reliance. Not only that, but the individuals he met in his youth cracked his shell and granted him the ability to trust others again, removing the shackles of fear placed upon him by his parent's abandonment.

With that said, the idea that they view him as simply an inconvenience to be thrown away infuriates him. He refuses to be remembered this way. To remedy this, he's decided he wants to leave a mark on history, no matter what it may be. Fehl will utterly overshadow them with his accomplishments — joining the Vanguard is only the beginning.

Overall, Fehlek is composed and competent in his actions, usually taking the time to think things through and apply logic to whatever issue he may be facing — this is especially true during combat, where he becomes dead silent and laser focused. This isn't universally true, however, especially if the issue concerns people he's close to. If forced to choose between saving a loved one or one thousand strangers, he'd find it difficult to decide, as his emotions tend to take over depending on the situation. Needless to say, if you're a friend of his, his loyalty and attachment is unbreakable. When interacting with others, he's sociable, though is relatively unrefined and somewhat child-like — as much as he may try to hide it. He has a generally positive outlook on the future and aims to constantly have a goal in mind, as it serves to keep him moving forward.

PLAYER NOTES
Fehlek's relevance to the plot will spur from his bullheadedness and desire. He wants a role, and thus will latch onto opportunities as they present themselves. I can see a lot of character development stemming from his naivety, but his motivations allow for room for development as well. The desire to become either a powerful warrior or a political powerhouse are both things that drive him forward. Scenarios in which he learns more about his parents could be interested as well — they would have been nobles, as indicated by both his birthplace and his ability to develop a Exousiarch.

I'd hope for him to either have an Exousiarch or obtain one later. I came up with this idea of some off-the-wall kind of baby eldritch-esque entity growing inside him — a parasitic relationship wherein this being uses Fehlek's body as a vessel; a mobile pocket dimension where it lays dormant, absorbing nutrients in order to develop itself. When the Cataract is activated, it wakes up - that kinda deal. Each stage of the Cataract's evolution could be this damn creature growing. Could provide some interesting interactions or conflict about "what the fuck is this thing and why is it in me." I honestly don't know if something like this would even work for a Cataract/Exousiarch, it's just an idea that popped into my head at night and I tried to develop a little.

I'm definitely interested in the lore. I'm a sucker for expansive, over the top lore that goes insanely deep.. too deep. Good. Just means I can sink more time into learning about the intricacies of the world. Needless to say, interacting with and making an impact on said world is such a cool thing to think about. Love this lore, and I'm very hopefully that the roleplay will stick around long-term. I want to see how every single arc unfolds.

New to the scene Desdemona is by all accounts a newbie. Being inducted into service 7 months ago she is considered an unpopular staff member due to her eccentric personality and dark unprofessional humor. Desdemona fits right in as a stereotypical forensic pathologist, Who spends a little too much time around the bodies of the deceased. Although she was ultimately hired in said position, she has many other qualifications that could let her hop around other positions if she truly felt like it. Although Desdemona is content with where she is at, ultimately for her security and power is what she aims for. Although rising the corporate ladder here wouldn't be too awful, she knows she would be passed up due to most of her coworkers being uncomfortable being around her longer than needed. What she wants is ultimate stability, and the only position that she knows of is becoming a Collbrande of Ophelia.

It is apparent that Des is an intelligent being, quick-witted and cunning, able to notice particular things that would not catch the eyes of others. Sometimes coming off as arrogant, but good-intentioned. Even though Des is socially awkward around pretty much everyone, and impulsive, as she speaks before she thinks, she is actually very preppy and want's to get along with the people she works with and interacts with daily. Some might confuse her with a crazy scientist as she has joked several times about becoming a modern Frankenstein while working on corpses. Perhaps due to a lifetime of being ignored by her peers, and not going out unless for her own sustenance Desdemona is very naive and almost innocent. Although Des is not in a situation where she needs to draw arms, She is expertly sufficient at melee combat, preferring sharp knives over guns and long-ranged weaponry. Although the reason as to how she knows how to fight so well isn't known.
PLAYER NOTES
-Personally I would like to see a character like Des being confronted with their inadequices as a friend , a partner , and a living breathing creature. She is a very imperfect character with a lot of flaws who is scared off relying on the support of others. I personally would be interested in Gut's forensic capabilities to be a theme here , but I would also like for her to be in more combat situations , Shes pretty good at cutting up bodies is all I can say!
-Im super interested in this roleplay! The lore is extensive and I'm interested in seeing how society works as a whole here. Although Empyria is touted as this grand superpower, I'd love to see the darker aspects like poverty and whatnot.
- If you'll have me I'll stick to the end!

DESCRIPTION
Being born in one of the noble families who’d received the Exousiarch from The Founder herself, part of a surviving lineage from the glorious defense of Empyria during the Great Wars, Émile ended up discovering his Caract amidst the luxurious neighborhoods of Elesrith. The harsh training he had to tolerate for his endurance, the punishments, lacerations, and scorching he endured for his lacking performance against his tutors, the sleep deprivation, stress positions, coupled with teachings from the days of yore and the techniques of the assegai he wielded. All part of the process of making a genuine competitor for what the Beaumont family had been looking for, desiring for decades now. The victor of the Tournament of Valor having their family crest proudly fly over the arena, opening them a spot inside the public affairs of the nation. A hand of their kin turning a knob to lead the empire their ancestors tirelessly protected from the foreign invader. A yearned path of commitment to servitude for the youngest child under the Collbrande’s guidance. Perhaps… maybe one day, the Beaumont would be rewarded for their unconditional allegiance with a Collbrande of Elesrith.

Only the Agarthian chapel masses helped him relieve himself, finding some kind of comfort believing in an entity whose cause is right, helping the nation develop, taking them down the road of Ophelia’s grace. But the arrival at the Tournament was far more complicated. Even more, as it progressed, from subjugating the opponent to acts of savagery in the arena which everyone applauded, a joyful gory festival, and Émile one of the main artists to come. This was the true blessing of Ophelia. As the vanquisher of the Tournament, finally reaching his purpose as a Beaumont, the scheme they’d drawn out for him from the very beginning of his Cataract development, it was about time to take the reins of his life. Especially now, Émile, from the House of Divinity and Vanguard of Imperius.

Now, as another gear in the whole political mechanism behind the curtains, his goals differed from those intended by his family. It wasn’t anymore about holding their banner high up and revive tales of fame for those Beaumont's who little time had left to enjoy life. The Collbrande position was tempting him, for independence to be attained once and for all.

Even after being practically tortured by many of his own blood throughout the making of a tournament champion, his respect and pride for the Beaumont’s background has stayed intact, well separated from any kind of disgust against the current genealogy he had to put up with. Serious and stubborn most of the time, his strategic thinking and process of analysis have given him enough confidence to prefer working in a more autonomous way, though not ignoring the inherent benefits an efficient group can give to the results of any type of mission. Having lived isolated adolescence, he was incapable to fully comprehend the nature of the lower echelons of society. But after entering the Tournament of Valor, this has been able to change in the course of years, gaining sensibility for the micro-data and the individuals it represented, as opposed to the prosperous macro numbers the empire showed. As a result of his past experiences, he’s focused on trying to abstain from harm dealing anyone if possible. Nowadays, Émile is trying to live somewhat of a peaceful life far away from home matters, focusing on training his abilities, let it be the assegai or the Cataract.
PLAYER NOTES
I can see his ambition for the Collbrande’s option grow eventually, and the action definitely could be a part of his time in the plot, if hands are needed to cope with whatever enemies there are in the frontline. But taking a U turn down to possibly getting tempted by the same enemy he swore to fight against sounds nice as well. Some kind of trauma arising that makes him loose faith in the empire and so on. A ball of snow that gets bigger and bigger inside him and tilts the balance to the other side. Apart from that, not really asking for anything else, just joining in for the ride.

Very much to be honest. The lore and its complexity were too much for me to think about leaving the rp aside on my list of “probably joining”. I had to at least give it a try, especially when I see lots of time and dedication invested in it, not only because of them being so tasty and wonderful (couldn’t find a better way to describe it lol), but also because I value commitment I guess? And obviously, join the fun with the rest of the crew!

Ideally staying until the very end. I’m planning ahead to make sure nothing gets in the middle of this. Or at least until Émile gets blown up into pieces.

Kariko is best described and cynical if determined having lost their previous no-nonsense attitude as long as the job gets done they really couldn’t care less if your methods arn’t perfect as long as it gets the job done. By trade, she’s a mecha pilot and tinkerer with her own vehicle over the years parts and weaponry have been retrofitted and replaced making it look like a hodgepodge of various mechs from different eras, but her skills extend to other vehicles as well. If others of the IoS are like scalpel then kariko is most certainly then unsubtle hammer, owing to her more destructive methods.
PLAYER NOTES
not sure how much mileage a mainly pilot character will be getting in the RP hoping for some mech or vehicle action.
if not their technical skills can at least be made of use if we don't get too many vehicle or mech segments
thinking she will have wings but there just folded behind her back in this image

Akiba is part of the Imperial Security Directorate, specifically part of its domestic intelligence and security service. Her duty is to gather information through surveillance, investigation, and break-ins so that the law enforcement branch of the ISD knows exactly what they're getting into. With a penchant for Photomancy, she utilizes it to cast no shadows, create illusions, and slip through undetected.

Akiba is a relatively new slate in the world of the ISD. Only three years of service under her belt and most of that under the guidance of her twin sister. It's only after the recent death of her twin sister that she earned the ironic moniker "Dove" for her newfound distaste for incurring violent encounters.

At first she served for her own family and for the family of others. To make sure that people can live in a peaceful life away from the rising criminal activity within the world. Then, her twin sister, a part of the law enforcement branch, was killed in the line of duty while investigating a possible lead on the Arcalion Syndicate. All because Akiba relayed the wrong information, sent her and everybody right into a trap. Nothing returned. It became a matter of redemption and vengeance. She will take any chance she can to dig deeper on who actually killed her sister if it means Akiba can do them in.

There are two integrities that Akiba holds truest to herself: she never chooses the directly violent option first and she always remembers who to hold a grudge against. Akiba is melancholy, an attitude that was present even in her childhood. However, that melancholy does not hinder how spiteful and petty she can be if something rubs her the wrong way. Especially if it comes to somebody she cares about. She will not forgive or forget anybody that harms those she is close to—even to those that she would have considered a friend once. It leads her to toeing the line between possessive and caring.
PLAYER NOTES
I want my character to have a personal interest against whatever is thrown her way, that way it tests the conflicting values of nonviolence and vengeance for internal struggles. Whether this conflict pushes her from Dove to Hawk, or something else, it'll be something I'll have to play the character out for to get a feel for which way it goes. However, because most of that is internal, everything external I'm able to flow with.

I'm very interested. This is my first ever roleplay that I've seen quite like this. And that's totally not because I've been on this site for less than a week. Not at all. But in seriousness, I want to know more about the setting. How the different organizations, despite being part of the "same team" interact with each other, what a normal life in the city would feel like, and a bunch of questions I need to ask about rankings and the ISD. But, I don't want to flood somebody with questions that I'm not sure I'm going to use and waste their time. I'll save that for when I get reviewed.

I want to stay to the very end. But, if this character has their internal conflicts resolved beforehand and I can't come up with more, then I'll either have to leave or create a new character. Don't want my character to feel like dead weight in a story that looks like it'll constantly be evolving.

What does one think of the name Myriad? Myriads of colours? Perhaps, perhaps not. Apeiron Helice, code name; Myriad seemed such a mysterious mystery. Who knew what secrets they'd keep. He, an Imperial Security Directorate worker, seemed so ordinary yet at the same time not. He was a simple auditor, one who had to follow orders, commands, and such. Myriad was simply, a weakling short in a sense. He was nothing but at the same time, something. How could that be when logic did not apply to this case? Myriad was someone of commoner heritage, he was were born from a pair of literary scholars, ones who had similar backgrounds in regards to his families. One, a scientist of some sort. The other, a teacher-hailing clan.

He joined the Imperial Security Directorate recently, well more like a while back as in three, or was it four years ago? Four years. It had taken him four years to reach this very day where he is standing comfortably. He has no desire, ambition to climb the ranks as he finds that life is more comfortable with an easy-going life, neither does he have any ambition to become something more unique like the Collbrandes of Ophelia or whatnots. Myriad first joined the ISD as some very low-ranking newbie, an assistant agent, one that sounded real fancy but had no meaning, no title, nothing benefitting in short. He started right from the bottom with nothing to their name other than their educational background. He led a dull life, nothing too interesting according to him. However if ever placed in another's perspective, Myriad was once bullied by superiors though they(the superiors) have now since been dismissed, as they have been found to be finding loopholes in the texts of the Book of Icarus and been manipulating the system the entire time while enjoying the power that they held as a so-called intermediate ranking agent in the ISD. Myriad also holds several other identities in their name while being a low-ranking member of the ISD.

Often intellectual, Myriad enjoys logical reasoning and complex problem-solving. He approaches life by analyzing the theory behind what they see, and are typically focused inward, on their own thoughtful study of the world around them. He is also drawn to logical systems and is much less comfortable with the unpredictable nature of other people and their emotions. He's typically independent and selective about their relationships, preferring to associate with people who they find intellectually stimulating. Maturity, calmness but that's not all, being disciplined as should be. However, he may get aloof, unruly, and self-indulgent at some times.
PLAYER NOTES

I'd say action-wise development, maybe just a few like minor plots. Minor as in nothing too drastic like another Great War or something. Hopefully, I did not just jinx that. sweats. As for development, I'm looking for something like either a negative or positive development. I might give it a try by balancing both positives and negatives but to be honest, it's hard for me to do so since my characters are usually just, blegh. I don't know, plain evil or good good? Well, I do have some lawful neutral characters but they are also quite tough to pull off, which is why I often have trouble with developing my characters.

To speak the truth, at this point, I have no idea. I'd give this a go and finish the first arc, if I ever do get accepted, this character was fun and tough to come up for so I don't expect anything tbh.

Hikari Kaze is one of the more infamous names under the I.S.D, for several reasons. He mainly operates in its special forces, capturing- or killing those who would go against what the empire stood for. And yet, even as he attempts to keep his head down, he is still recognized as the one who holds the record for the fastest final match in the Tournament of Valor. And yet, the mere mention of it brings him into regret. For how could anything cover the shame of forever maiming his own twin

HIkari is often thought of as distant or flighty by those who don't know him, but for those he trusts or respects, he is an entirely different person. Unlike the brooding picture the public portrays him as, he actually can be quite cheerful when he wants to be, with a dry humor. He can be forgetful at times, and likes to change things whenever he pleases, which can be a bit frustrating for whoever has to work with him. And yet, he can shift to a more grumpier state faster than a storm whenever something annoys him.

As a character, it would be nice to see him finally get over his twin, and I could see him being used in quite a few combat situations. I still haven´t got everything fully thought out, but this is pretty much the direction I want to go with this character.

Honestly, it's the lore of the roleplay that drove me here. I've never seen a roleplay with this much more, and it's obvious this a hard-worked on project that I would be honoured to join. And don´t worry, I intend to stay here for as long as I can.

DESCRIPTION
A servant of House Kaiser, raised to serve their master's purpose in the field or at home. Rieper comes from a long line of the Kaisers' established retinues. Being a Kaiser maid requires both grace and competent fidelity, something Rieper possesses down to the letter. Trained by the Head Maid from a young age, Rieper has an intricate knowledge of House Kaiser's engagements, histories and schedules. From mundane jobs to that of personal matters that require eloquent competency by their subordinates, Rieper has never once failed to carry out her masters' will. Like most of her peers, Rieper endured harsh training that transformed her into a deadly instrument for the Kaisers' purpose. Ever since a young age, she have always looked up to the Knights with reverence, wishing upon stray stars that she could one day be one. Yet, even with her long-established conduct and competent abilities, she was held back within the confines of household duties. She was a talented arbitrator and coordinator, rotting away behind colorful gardens and social soirees. Eventually, her dossier made it up the line, by the grace of the Head Maid of the House and she was given a chance to put her talents to good use. A lengthy processing effort ensued, as Rieper was finally given a chance to serve alongside the current host of Knights in an auxiliary capacity.

Designated as Bethlehem, the young woman is described as the Knights' "attendant." Specializing in cryomancy and enchantment, Bethlehem is able to keep her comrades in a fight for as long as possible with pivotal supporting techniques and stratagems. Where she falls short on offensive abilities, Bethlehem makes sure to compensate it with her arrays of enchantments or simply hauling equipment for the Knights. In battle, Bethlehem is also described as the power-bank that maximizes her allies' output and performance without fail. Conditioned to serve her master, her sense of duty always take precedence over her desires. Given the chance to serve the Kaiser alongside her idolized confidants, Rieper takes her new assignment as the Order's auxiliary very seriously.

On the outside, Rieper may appear to be an aloof personnel, one can easily mistake her true intentions with what she presents. She chooses her acquaintances with care, aligning herself to those she deems to be worthy of her time. In general, she receives strangers and guests with courtesy and a polite tone. A figure that is hard to read, Rieper is a controversial figure to say the least - all in the name of serving the Kaisers. While she has personal aspirations, she does not let it cloud her priorities and judgments. Behind her indiscriminate dealing with others, Rieper has a soft spot for certain things that are only unveiled when one indulges her presence long enough. Beyond the scope of her personal preferences, little else of note is worth mentioning outside of her predesignated psychological evaluations.
PLAYER NOTES
I. Bethlehem's development may vary dependent on my interests and that of the story's influence. The principal allotment of her path, would be to simply serve House Kaiser for the time being. I am not very creative. x:

II. Wouldn't be here, if I wasn't, would I? Haven't seen this level of effort since 2019. I like what I see so far and I would love to continue to be interested.

III. All that begins, must end. I'll try my best to give, long as you provide me a reason to. I believe in equality of efforts. Don't die, is all I ask.

DESCRIPTION
Following two miscarriages, Maximus Alden was born to a woman who died from childbirth and fathered by a man who subsequently ended his life. His parents having set a example leading the family into reputational prosperity through exemplar service in the military, he had quickly succumbed to familial pressure. Every facet of his life was put under a magniscope which caused him, despite its effectiveness, to harbor a deep dislike for his aunt and those around her who encouraged it.

Growing up, Maximus became obsessed with not only fighting but the history of Empyria and its founder. Unbeknownst to him, Maximus had created a role model out of Eleanor Ophelia and those that succeeded her, so much so that he fell in love with Agarthian. Leading up to his appointment within the Vanguards of Imperius, he led his life as if Eleanor herself was watching him. While some would argue such an attitude was unhealthy, Maximus would chalk it up to a lack of faith in Empyria's sublimity. Despite comments from his family's inner circle, his (arguably unwarranted) love for his home had fueled him with purpose, something he had been longing for since the death of his father. Maximus would claim his success from the Tournament of Valor comes from his zealousness and thus every action he commits is dedicated to the betterment of the Empire.

If you speak to people who have met him, they would tell you he is almost annoyingly devoted to his job and has no problem of mentioning his ambitions, specifically the one about becoming a Collbrande to 'further elevate the Empyrian Empire's status in the galaxy.' Even if he were not to be considered for a position, Maximus seems to be content with any assignment that would better position him to help the Empire or within an Ophelia's eyesight.

His physical prowess as demonstrated in the Tournament of Valor is only an aspect of his usefulness to the Empire. Having now served five years with the Vanguards, Maximus has shown extreme enthusiasm towards political matters such as lowering crime and weeding out corruption. His colleagues would express that whilst he is a hard worker, his infatuation with impressing... some political figures makes him come across as unnecessarily eccentric and eager causing him to sometimes disregard long-term consequences. Such behaviour is demonstrated in combat where he is determined to be the star of the show and apply as much destructive force as he possibly can from the jump.
PLAYER NOTES

  • I am a big fan of character development and how the transformation of individuals can affect a much larger story, so I would look forward to not only my own but the other characters in the roleplay. Currently, I see Maximus as someone who failed to have any real or personal relationships as he was growing up so he ran towards the things around him: his home and religion. As the roleplay progresses, I would like to see him determine if his self-proclaimed zealousness and dutifulness is something that truly comes from within or is just something he is attempting to fill the void of purpose. Either way, it will be a journey of self-discovery for the character.

  • The things that attracted me to the roleplay were the lore, the suggested length, and the fact that I registered for the last one (though I'm not sure what happened with that). I have left my character development open-ended to allow cohesion with the story if need be. Always better to let things happen organically anyhow.

DESCRIPTION

What I do, I do with purpose. I may seem foolish in your eyes, but I assure you… there is much more than meets the eye.”

Caspian Evergreen, more commonly known as Lancer, is a somewhat notable name in the I.S.D. When mentioned, he either provokes an exasperated groan from his superiors or a star-struck gasp from the younger, low-ranked agents. He dedicates most of his time to training and is known to take agents under his wing to ensure they are well-equipped for their missions. Specific to his own missions, Caspian takes on riskier situations, often partaking in the subdual of convicts or the warranted searches of safe houses.

He does not hope to be at his current rank for long, despite the gratification he receives from it. He wishes for something greater, a challenge compared to his current work. More so than that, he yearns for a greater adrenaline rush. For someone who operates solely on the thrill of the mission, he has noticed a certain dullness in his present duties. Perhaps he is imagining it, but regardless, he has long since had his eyes set on the K.K.O. You could say he admires them, to an extent. After all, he works with them on the more dangerous deployments he has. May it be the way they carry themselves, or the effect they have on their opponents, Caspian wants in. Is his dream feasible? His level of competency, questionable values, and anarchic strategies on the war-front suggest otherwise. And yet, the extremity of his ambition encourages him to look forward to the future.

The I.S.D. did not drive all of Caspian’s lifelong objectives. He will always say the heart of his determination stems from his little sister, Elyse. The very incident (see history section) that had left her paralyzed from the waist down brought about her brother’s determination to join the I.S.D. He prioritizes her life over all else, even his own. Therefore, the subject of her potential endangerment can be a nest for pessimistic thoughts to fester and absent-minded violence to occur. The very thought of her being victimized once again is enough for Caspian to take a 180-degree turn, irrespective of any mood he may be in.

Thence, his innate shielding nature converting into immense overprotectiveness over his assistant agents are a byproduct of this.

My life, my achievements—nothing would matter if something were to happen to Elyse. Nothing. And don’t think that I’ll let anything happen to you either.

As for Caspian’s background, he hailed from two high-ranking officers in the I.S.D who have long since retired. His mother, a noble belonging to the House of Valor, went against her parents’ “better” judgment and married Kieryn Evergreen, a high-ranking officer in the I.S.D. The genetic root of his prowess and stubbornness came from his mother, who abandoned the finer things in life to join her husband in battling against the felonious people who plagued Empyria. Once Caspian had reached puberty, and his Exousiarch revealed itself, his father was to the point of obsession with his newfound abilities. Day after day, Kieryn would train Caspian himself in combat, hoping that his son would mirror his passion in the I.S.D. and serve Empyria. Much to his disappointment, his son had other plans and despised the idea of being responsible for the public’s lives. Soon after, Caspian’s little sister was born and he took care of her whilst his parents engaged those who opposed the law. Once Elyse turned 8, she began idolizing the I.S.D. and other law enforcement organizations of Empyria. Constantly would she discuss with her brother her dreams of joining.

At least their father’s fervor with protecting the innocent passed down to somewhere in the family.

Then, the incident happened. Those who supported the Sagyien faction’s separation from Empyria had taken a more violent route, a 10-year-old Elyse was in the crossfire when walking back from school. The result, after being caught under some rubble, had left her paralyzed and unable to chase her dreams of becoming an I.S.D. agent. Thus, Caspian chased her dreams for her, subsequently enlisting in I.S.D. at 18 (to his father’s joy). Despite how much he loathed working for the I.S.D., he soon acquired a taste for the job’s obligations and a sense of nationality grew within him. As he continued working in the I.S.D., he climbed the ranks to where is he today.

Those who know Caspian are well-aware that he is not one to take others seriously. He lacks the social awareness necessary to do so. Rarely is he seen without a shit-eating smirk on his face or that infamous glint of mischief in his bright green eyes. His method of teaching is abrasive, in short. He prefers a “tough love” approach in mentoring his assistant agents, despite not losing his cool if they made a mistake. Caspian is not one to be serious at meetings and instead takes on a laxer perspective during discussions. Affable to children, elderly, and strangers alike, the surrounding civilians hold him in high regard. However, his mischievous nature is very important to highlight, as he loves to challenge authority. This is often the reason he is in trouble with his superiors, although his intentions are mainly pure (not to say spite and pettiness did not motivate him before).

Furthermore, Caspian can be foolish. With a search and destroy mentality when deployed, he would prefer to jump into danger without a hint of forethought. Why carefully orchestrate a plan that revolves around a more diplomatic approach when you can simply go in and crush their forces?A bit bland, won’t you say?

To Caspian, actions speak louder than words, and “pacification” and “subjugation by brute force” are synonyms in his dictionary.
PLAYER NOTES

What kind of action and development do you want your character to partake in?

When I created Caspian, I wanted his development to stem from a lot of things, including potential insecurities, the coddling of his little sister, and his reckless demeanor. He did not initially join the I.S.D for his father, nor himself—but for his little sister (as mentioned in his history). Therefore, he believes he has expectations to live up to. Caspian is only willing to protect his sister with his life, his [prior/current] assistant agents being the few exceptions to this rule. Perhaps he will feel some sort of sentiment for a civilian sibling duo similar to him and Elyse, but endangering anyone else is worth it if it means catching the criminal (hence the neutral aspect of his alignment). Another point is his sister. She could also be a reason he wants to join the KKO at some point, too. The mere thought of his sister’s excitement is enough to motivate him. Though, I do want something else to happen to her that may be Caspian’s fault. This could be the switch that makes him take his work more seriously. Or maybe he has to spread himself thin to save those he cares about and that makes him realize his limitations.

I’d also like to explore him dealing with the consequences of his rash decision-making (he takes it to heart if anyone were to call his strategies foolish, despite it being the truth). The end game I have for him is for Caspian to not be so negligent with himself and to be more responsible. However, these are just ideas floating around in my mind, and I’d love to see how the events of this roleplay affect him (regardless of any prior ideas). It would be fun to see his attitudes and tendencies worsen instead of improve, as well.

I’d love him to take part in a considerable amount of action. Dangerous situations are what drive him, so he does better when constantly placed in those settings.

How interested are you in this roleplay, including the lore?

As everyone else said, a roleplay with this much depth and detail only comes around every blue moon. Especially with how creative the character sheet is, it’s appealing on the aesthetic side of things as well. The lore has done its job reeling me in and I am looking forward to the expansion of it in the future!

Do you plan on staying with us until the very end, or just finish the first arc?

I am sticking with this roleplay till the very end. Roleplays of this caliber keep me going for a very long time. And if everyone is super welcoming, then expect me to be present at the end credits!

It is clear that no one is more pleased with the chance of "eradicating the sins and corruptions" than Conrad, and despite his own "unique" ways of dealing with trouble, his methods are proven to be effective to bring peace to the region under his jurisdiction. People might accuse him of "ruling in fear", though Conrad would argue that people have nothing to fear when they do no crime. For that reason, he gained a certain degree of infamy and was given by the public a moniker: "The Butcher". His position among the Vanguards is also a topic of controversy among the general public, despite serving for 15 years already. While others might think 17 was too young of an age to join the Tournament of Valor, for him, it was a chance to prove himself to his family of warriors. He won't admit it to anyone, but he is actually pleased with his rise in position, for he dreams to attain the role of a Collbrande one day. He sees it not as a pinnacle of his career, but as a sacred position that he feels will prove his devotion and loyalty.

Many evil things in this world are done out of good intentions, and the quote applies perfectly to Conrad. He is a charismatic man with a mind that is wrapped within his own creed, people who met him tend to see him as one of these two things: A person with a great vision that inspires or a madman with twisted beliefs that bring fear. For some (obvious) reason, people tend to think of him as the latter. Conrad doesn't take it to heart, for he is aware how his grand ideals might be too difficult to comprehend from those of "lesser race" or those who have yet to truly understand it for what it is. He can be humble and kind in his own ways with his own code of honor, such as refusing to fight an enemy who carries no weapon and seeing a duel as an honorable fight and showing less mercy to those who use hostages or choose to run away, for he sees it as the cowardly way. His straightforward attitude and reverence for Agartha earned him the adoration of overzealous fanatics, especially those in politics and the military.
PLAYER NOTES
So... yeah, to describe him simply, he is a zealot who constantly say religious rhetorics or quote from something he perceived as holy. In this case, being a hybrid of Revenant - Exhelian and blessed with the power of cataract, he believes that he has been born to be a "soldier of Agartha" with his own faith that he believes in. Because of that the other characters might see and brand him as a "nutjob", but no matter how much they dislike him, they are still coworkers that need to interact and work together.

Considering his beliefs in combat and Empyria, I think he will consider the Arcalion Syndicate as a major threat. However, in the process of fighting or chasing them, how far he is willing to go? And there could be reveals in the story that will shake his beliefs, and what that happens it will either break him or remake him into someone... better. But will he redeem himself? At the moment, I'm leaning more toward him getting karma at the end.

As for interest, I think the many questions I give to GM should already show how much interested I am in this RP. Genuinely curious to see how things will be expanded, and I'm especially would love to see the religious aspects develop since my character builds his entire personality around that, as well as the cultural aspects of Revenants.

Considering as players we barely know anything about Arc 1, moreover the endgame, I can only say for certain that I plan to stay until Conrad has finished his character arc and / die. It's a journey that will take time to conclude, one way or the other, so maybe even until the end?

PS: I can't think of a good family name for him, so I left it empty for now.

Act I.

Birthed from the results of poor decision-making and cheap wine, William V. Zimmerman found himself living in the slums of Aucteraden, being raised by technology in place of his parents, who were too busy with their own lives to make time for their child. William, who had grown used to the frequent absence of his parents, often shut himself out for days in his room, tinkering with endless inventions that he fashioned using spare parts from a nearby scrapyard.

Most of Williams's earlier contraptions took the form of haphazardly strewn together drones or modified toy robots, but the skill for his craft was evident at a young age, and it was clear that the young tinkerer would one day grow up to be something much bigger.

Due to the significant lack of parental involvement in his life, William matured much earlier than any child should have, and he taught himself how to do nearly everything. William cooked his own dinners, cleaned up after his mother's drunken one-night flings, enrolled himself in school, and even resorted to paying his parent's bills when their house was in danger of repossession.

As one could imagine, taking on so many adult responsibilities impacted William greatly, his social health being the most affected. William surrounded himself with his inventions, never learning to socialize with other kids his age, and became incredibly awkward in most social situations. That said, William was never a loner type. He simply didn't know how to approach and interact with other people. At least, not until she came along. A young red-haired girl who would shyly wave to William whenever he walked home from school.

William found the girl extraordinarily beautiful from the moment he first laid eyes on her, but he could never muster up the courage to talk to her and would instead hide his face in his hoodie and hurry home. The girl always seemed a bit hurt when William would run away instead of attempting to talk with her, but she didn't let her emotions deter her from trying to befriend the awkward boy, understanding that he may have just been shy. The small back and forth continued between the two for months, becoming somewhat of a daily routine for them until one late evening, William noticed that the girl wasn't at her usual spot, and he grew concerned.

William wasn't exactly sure why he cared so much for someone he didn't even know the name of, but William found himself looking all over the district for the girl, eventually giving up on his search when he concluded that she may have wanted nothing to do with him anymore. William started on his way back home, crushed and disappointed. He couldn't exactly blame the girl for giving up on him. After all, William pretty much ignored her attempts at friendship for months, so she probably felt rejected.

William was too lost in his thoughts to notice that someone was barreling toward him, but he found out the hard way when they collided and were both knocked to the ground, papers flying everywhere. William held his throbbing head with a groan, not recognizing the feminine voice that was frantically apologizing to him. A small gasp made William look up, and his pain instantly faded away. It was the girl! William was elated to see that she was okay, but his joy quickly faded into embarrassment, realizing that he didn't know what to say.

The heavy tension made William want to curl in on himself, but surprisingly, the girl didn't seem to mind. She warmly smiled at the shy boy and offered him a hand, introducing herself as Elena Halfway. William hesitated, his mind screaming at him to do anything. She was right there in front of him, and yet he still couldn't bring himself to speak to her. Without thinking, William reached out and took Elena by the hand, yanking her down into an unexpected hug.

"...My name's William."

Act II.

That was the start of a blossoming friendship between the two, with Elena slowly convincing William to open up while they spent more and more time together. One day while William was conversing with Elena on their way to his home, William brought up the topic of parents, and Elena explained that she was an orphan, which is why he always found her waiting for him alone. When William asked Elena where she lived, she hesitantly looked around, her voice falling to a hushed whisper as she motioned for him to follow.

William was confused but complied, letting Elena lead him to an abandoned apartment complex, which he soon found out housed dozens of orphans. William was amazed to see that the orphans had built a fully functioning village all on their own, right under the noses of the authorities. William quickly grew attached to the orphans once he learned about their bizarre backstories. In a way, they were all alike, lost and without parents, but with the orphans, William finally found a sense of community, a home.

William dedicated his time to building inventions that would improve the orphan's quality of life while also getting closer to Elena, who he realized he had feelings for after they had a heart-to-heart over the orphans. Elena and William vowed they would protect the orphans no matter the cost, not realizing that they would have to act on their promise when a rival gang dubbed "The Hyneas" traced William back to the hidden community, setting it ablaze with pyromancy.

William did his best to save as many of the orphans as he could, but he would never be able to forget the panic and confusion. The smoke and the pain, the cries for help as his friends were either mowed down by gunfire, crushed by falling debris or burned alive. Only six out of the thirty-two orphans survived, along with William, who was near-close to losing it when he discovered Elena's lifeless and bloodied body.

Some of the orphans blamed William for the tragedy, while the fire department attempted to control the raging fires before they could further spread. The incident made headlines all over Aucteraden, as the fires caused millions of dollars in damage, and a public outcry for crime control exploded throughout the city. The N.R.A. began cracking down on the vicious gangs that ruled over Aucteraden, but it felt like with each group they abolished, two more rose to power, all hungry for chaos and division. As for William, not only was he traumatized for life but his name was permanently tied to the horrific incident, making him a social outcast. William retreated back to his introverted bubble, where he would continue to work on his inventions with a new goal in mind.

Find the Hyena leader that took everything from him, and make them suffer.

Act III.

William's Exosiarch developed when he was sixteen, a much later date than most. However, William shouldn't have even possessed an Exosirach since neither of his parents was of noble status, or at least, that's what he thought. Unsurprisingly, William's birth resulted from a royal affair, which only added to William's growing list of troubles. Unlike most who were ecstatic to realize they possessed special powers, William grew to hate his Exosirarch and magic in general. Not only did William find technology superior, but he believed magic to be a dangerous tool that only ended up hurting people, which was reasonable, given his troubling past.

William ignored the existence of his Exosiarch to focus on tracking down the man that killed his friends, tapping into security cameras all over Aucteraden for any tip-offs. William was disgusted by the number of wicked things that went unnoticed on Aucteraden's dark streets, but he could never find any information related to his target. Growing more and more impatient, William decided to take matters into his own hands and flew a bit too close to the sun, hacking into several highly confidential databases that led the I.S.D. right to his doorstep.

William should have faced a lifetime in prison, but Ophelia herself must have been on his side because a top-ranking member of the Iscariots recognized William's impressive engineering feats and convinced the authorities to release him into their care. Instead of William serving a lifelong sentence, he would be indentured to the Iscariots in exchange for a clean record and his eventual freedom.

As one could imagine, William was practically chewed up and spit out, being a rookie Iscariot with no experience other than being an inventor. However, the same Iscariot who testified for William's release took the scared child under their wing, shielding him in the fearsome warmth of "The Sun."

With the guidance of his mentor, William slowly rose through the ranks, his numerous inventions proving to be incredibly useful for both combat and practical uses. However, William was good at not only building machines, but he soon found that he was an excellent shot and an even better pilot, allowing him to join the Iscariots on the frontlines with enough combat training.

Within a few years of serving the Iscariots, William's on-field and in-house achievements earned him the rank of "The Star," and the leader of the Iscariots approved William for his own private workshop, where William built and designed new inventions that would help aid him and his comrades, earning him the code name Ticker. (Since William loved taking apart things to see how they ticked). Over time, William slowly moved on from his past hurt, becoming more social, though he would still always hold a grudge against the gang leader of The Hyenas, vowing to exact his revenge if he ever encountered them.

So, that's where William's story should end. He now works for the Iscariots as a high-ranking field agent and inventor, not entirely relieved of his childhood trauma but content enough with his current place in life.

However, there's a reason why Wilbur no longer goes by the name William.

Act IV.

A few years down the road, a war broke out. It was a relatively small war, with the Saygien Faction rising against the Empire to try and earn their place in the world. The higher-ranking members of the Iscariots were tasked with aiding the K.K.O. and Imperius Vanguards, hoping to put a swift end to the conflict before things could escalate further. But even for a high-ranking member of the Iscariots, oversights happen.

William was piloting an aircraft of his own personal design, carrying an E.M.P. bomb that would leave the Saygiens in the dark for months. It should have been an easy job, but before William could deliver the payload, an altercation broke out between the opposing forces, and William was shot down by a mortar, unable to eject from his aircraft due to a faulty part that he forgot to replace.

William crashed with severe injuries, and it seemed like his time serving the Empyrian Empire was going to come to an abrupt end. However, Ophelia must have still had something special planned for William because the doctors saved him by replacing a large portion of his body with cybernetic implants, including giving William an artificial heart, which kept him alive solely through the power of his own Exosirarch.

When William recovered, he began to truly appreciate the power of magic for the first time and had his name changed to Wilbur, believing that he was reborn as a new man when he died, and William was no more. Wilbur not only embraced the concept of magic being beneficial to society, but he shifted his focus to the study of psionics and technomancy, hoping to connect man, magic, and machine on a never-before-seen level. Wilbur has already been successful with many of his projects, but he believes that with enough time and research, he could find a way to unlock the fifth and final stage of the Exosirarch through the power of technology alone.

Personality:

Wilbur, as described in a single sentence, is quiet until he isn't. There are times where Wilbur blends in like a ghost, only adding his two cents to a conversation when he feels his input is needed, and there are other times where Wilbur won't be able to shut up, typically if you get him started on tech-related topics.

Wilbur isn't exactly extroverted or introverted. He's awkward with new acquaintances and horrible with romance, but if he's comfortable with someone, he will treat them like a brother/sister, gawking to them about his inventions and joking around with them without a care in the world. Some find Wilbur's hyper enthusiasm infectious, while others deem it annoying, but Wilbur has never seemed to care for what others think of him. Despite how often Wilbur likes to fool around, he knows when to act serious and tends to become very focused when working on one of his inventions, tuning out the rest of the world around him.

Wilbur is a hard worker who always sees that he finishes a task once he starts on it, but he often finds himself without sleep, leaving him with eye bags and the occasional dark circle. Wilbur has also never been one to anger easily, but he's known to lash out with a tirade of sarcastic insults when provoked, which more often than not ends up getting him in a great heap of trouble. The only time Wilbur shows genuine anger is when the innocent are preyed upon, or he is under an intense amount of pressure, finding it hard to work when multiple people are demanding things from him.

Since the orphan incident, Wilbur hasn't attempted to bond with many individuals on a deep level, but Wilbur is a very loyal friend, willing to give up his life for his comrades without forethought. Wilbur also enjoys playing video games in his spare time and loves listening to music, putting on a playlist of his favorite techno songs during missions or work.

Lastly, few have seen Wilbur sad, describing him to be a typically chipper fellow, though some believe that Wilbur is putting on a font/wearing a mask to elude others so he won't have to talk about his dark past. Occasionally, cracks in Wilbur's façade will show, but they're so brief that most will miss it. Wilbur is also incredibly awkward when it comes to romance, preferring to avoid relationships entirely. Maybe it's because Wilbur never learned how to flirt, or perhaps it's because Wilbur still harbors feelings for his first romantic interest, who perished before he could ever confess.

Extra Facts:

Because Wilbur shares his lifeforce with his Exosiarch, his chest also glows when his Exosiarch is activated.

- Wilbur has severe burn scars on his chest, right arm, and upper left thigh, resulting from the Saygien incident. He's somewhat self-conscious of his scars and doesn't like letting people see them.

-
Wilbur not only has an artificial heart, but he also has cybernetic implants in place of his eyes and a cybernetic left arm. Aside from looking cool, some of Wilbur's cybernetics provide physical benefits, such as his arm giving him increased strength and his implants giving him enhanced perception. All of Wilbur's body modifications are necessary for him to function, as Wilbur lost his left arm, in addition to losing his eyesight.

- Wilbur's iron-cast mask is purely for cosmetics and is removable, though it does provide some protection against gasses and dust. In terms of appearance, Wilbur's face mask lights up whenever he talks, and his eyes permanently glow, his sclera being pitch black.

- Wilbur's signature weapon is a futuristic plasma rifle, which he keeps strapped to his back at all times. Wilbur modified his rifle with a high-tech sniper scope that can detect heat signatures, hone in on enemies, give vital readings, the distance between objects, and much more. Wilbur has a sheathed energy blade for emergencies, though he prefers ranged/tech-related weapons.

- Wilbur can be a bit selfish with his inventions and possesses a soft spot for orphaned children and animals, knowing what it was like to grow up abandoned himself. Wilbur often goes out of his way to make sure said orphan is comforted, showing motherly tendencies and becoming extremely protective of them.

- Wilbur invented a magic-infused hoverboard which he considers his baby and one of his most prized inventions. The hoverboard leaves a glowing orange trail, can hover in the air, and travel/jump over other objects, along with being able to stick to surfaces. (So long as they are magnetic). As one can imagine, balancing on a hoverboard while traveling at top speeds is not an easy feat that most can achieve, making Wilbur rather unique in his field. Wilbur has spent years mastering the art of hoverboard riding, along with modifying his board to make it slightly safer to use. Wilbur knows how to execute tricks, fire his rifle while moving, and has performed multiple high-speed chases while riding his hoverboard. Wilbur also equipped his board with weapons like rocket launchers and saw blades, but they are still in the experimental phase, so Wilbur prefers not to use them during important missions. Wilbur rides his hoverboard whenever he gets the chance, meaning people will often see him zipping by throughout the city. Unbeknownst to Wilbur, he has inspired a band of kids to start a hoverboard club, which they named after him, and spend their time trying to learn the craft of hoverboard riding. They have surprisingly gotten very good and may make a bigger name for themselves later.

- Wilbur has created a variety of handy inventions, such as drones that aid him in combat or stealth missions, mechanized robotic canines which can track down any target, and specialized traps that can leave its victims in shock. Currently, Wilbur has been working on creating an artificial pair of wings that will grant its user the ability to fly, allowing all races to experience flight without needing wings. More secretly, Wilbur has been exploring ways to try and unlock the more advanced stages of his Exosiarch, hoping to make the Cataract's full power accessible to all.
PLAYER NOTES

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Phew, that took a while to write! So, Wilbur has a lot is going for him. He has a lot of trauma that can be tapped into to make for some pretty good arcs/scenes, he never got over his grudge against the leader of the hyena gang, and he shut out his emotions and put on a mask since the whole orphanage incident. Wilbur's still friendly and jokes around with people and all that, but he's still scared to get close with anyone because Wilbur's afraid he'll just lose them again, which is why he hasn't tried to look for any new romantic interests.

One thing that I didn't mention about Wilbur is that he feels like he let everyone at the orphanage down. Wilbur felt like he was too weak to save his friends, so there's this feeling of helplessness that always lingers, even if he's in a much better spot now.

I love fluff and angst, and I love making my characters struggle as it's just fun to write, and you can't ever really have a character redeem themselves without having them suffer a bit first. The cool thing about Wilbur is that since he's a tech-related character, he can always stay relevant since he can keep making things that can aid the team and all sorts of whacky cool inventions.

I'm not sure if I want Wilbur to specifically die as I tend to get attached to my characters and will want to keep playing them in later arcs, but I'm certainly down for him to befriend some people while slowly facing his trauma, and perhaps have him grow close with one character. Wilbur already had one near-death experience, so it might be better to let other people have their moment to shine while I focus on Wilbur's helpless aspect.

From a player perspective, I just really want Wilbur to interact with people, as I love character interactions. Just mentioning my character in a post is enough to make my day, as I feel like I'm often ignored in Roleplays, which is a shame since I try my best. I'm excited to learn more about the whole partnering system because I think that could lead to some really interesting interactions. I'm also really eager to learn more about the Arcalion Syndicate and how I could have Wilbur become involved, as I want him to be a part of the big plot and not just be cast-off as a side character.

In terms of Wilbur's lore, there's a lot I tested my luck with because I understand you guys have a certain vision, and Wilbur's backstory might not really align with that. If you'd like me to change anything regarding Wilbur's backstory just let me know, as I'm more than open to changes, and I want to make this work! I'm also not sure if Wilbur's Iscariot ranking is too high. Wilbur's whole Exosiarch part of his lore doesn't need to lead anywhere if you don't want it to, it's just sort of an extra thing that Wilbur hopes to achieve, but we don't always get what we want in life.

As for commitment, I'm one of the most committed people you'll meet! I've been looking for a long-term Roleplay to call home for years now. My biggest issue is that all of the Roleplays I join typically die within the first week, so I put all this effort into a character like Wilbur to just have them not matter because the Roleplay never gets past the first page.

As long as the Roleplay doesn't die and other people still show interest, you can expect me to be there until the very end. I think a lot of people agree that this is one of the most well-crafted Roleplays that we've seen in a long-time, hence why it has drawn so much interest. I'm here to be part of the ride if you'll have me, so hopefully everything with Wilbur checks out!

Born the youngest daughter of a minor noble house, Rika was subjected to the strict upbringing one would expect of nobility. Trained from a young age in all manners of ettiquette and social skills it wasn't until she was a bit older that the focus of her education turned to her Exousiarch. The mark of nobility it was something to take pride in. And take pride in it she did. She took to her training with earnest dedication. Growing up she had always felt a frustrated annoyance with her elder sister. Her elder sibling, Elio, rarely took their noble roots as seriously as she did and it was a source of never-ending annoyance for the young Rika as she grew up. And yet, despite that cavalier attitude, it always seemed that she was destined to be second fiddle. So it was with her Exousiarch that she sought to finally come out ahead. Such focus was dedicated to her studies that her skill with magic lapsed.

But before long her dedication was rewarded as her Exousiarch grew alongside her. While her desire to show up her sister was one reason behind her earnest training, the other and far more prominent motivation driving her forward was to climb the social ladder. Her house, minor and rife with corruption as it was, left her with a yearning for more and she had had her eyes set on the title of Collbrande even as a young girl. It was towards such an aim that saw her desire to join the prestigious Kaiser Knight Order, but alas such was beyond her reach. So her sights shifted to the Vanguards of Imperius. The usage of her Exousiarch would be her ticket into their order and the first real meaningful step up the ladder towards her goal. But like so much in her life, her sister beat her to the punch and won the tournament sealing her spot in the Vanguards. Left with a mixture of despair and fury she redoubled her efforts and when the next tournament was held five years later she sealed a victory for her own and joined the Vanguards.

Rika can be best summed up as earnest and dedicated. A tad on the 'too serious' side of things she's a woman of drive and focus and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. Her upbringing in a noble house that skirted the law with corruption left her with... slightly warped sensibilities. A little rule bending (or breaking) was fine so long as it furthered her path forward. Nevertheless she is adamant that she only does what's best for her family and the Empire and while she will more than happily consort with criminals and the corrupt sides of government she will never abide anything that poses any legitimate harm to the Empire. When the gruelling work of the day is done and she is able to relax her demeanor melts somewhat, while she has a low tolerance for stupidity or brashness and will readilly snap back against it, she is not a complete stick in the mud. Like any young woman she enjoys the fun aspects of life and fully acknowledges that a healthy balance of work and play are required for her long-term success.
PLAYER NOTES
Despite the character's lofty ambition I don't really intend for it to ever hold any weight, maybe in the future if it works that way. But for now I'm just content RPing an agent that is part of the overarching story and having fun. The thing I like about RP is the unexpected results that come about by dealing with other people, so whatever happens I'm looking forward to the surprise. As for the lore and staying with the RP, I like the lore and have read or skimmed most of it, there's a lot to take in. And as far as staying, I know forum rp's last a loooong time so I wont make any promises because I don't know what the future will hold. But as of this moment I intend to stick it out for as long as the RP's going.

DESCRIPTION

Loud and proud, front and center, and for all to behold and exalt, Elio Solari takes the stage of battle as something more akin to a seasoned performer than a soldier ranked amongst the Vanguards of Imperius: with passion, with poise, and most of all, with an ego of devastating proportions.

A childhood played out within a minor noble house fostered an arrogance and self-entitlement within the woman. Such influence it allotted was meager, corrupt, yet fruitful, and it fed Elio's hedonistic pursuits well in her young adulthood. Now, she is free of duty to her family, one which she deemed suffocating, and instead replaced it by choice with a calling to the Vanguards. Strange, one might remark, that this shamelessly vainglorious, pleasure-seeking wellborn would devote any effort towards a toilsome cause. And one would be wise to question her motives. “I just look damn good doing it,” she’d respond with a cocksure grin, if pressed. Just like her aristocratic leverage, Elio uses her status as one of the Vanguards to reap trivial benefits.

Though this rightly earns the distaste of many, not even her biggest critics – her youngest sister, Rika, amongst them – can deny that, in the desire for something fun, exciting, and self-serving, is indeed found a hard-driven motivation. Elio is a frontline force to be reckoned with, armed by a previous championship at the Imperius Tournament of Valor, ten years beneath her belt from the Vanguard, honed skill with her inherited Exousiarch… And, of course, her trusty battle axe. Just a touch smug, yes. But who’s got the gall to tell her so? And will Elio even care?

No. No, the answer is no, she wouldn't.

PLAYER NOTES
Firstly, thanks for considering! I've honestly not roleplayed in a forum in nearly ten years, so forgive me, I'm really rusty. This sort of setting is also new for me, too. However, I'm truly excited to explore this rich universe with a character like Elio -- and boy, there's a lot to explore. I want to play her as someone who can pull their weight, sure, but not nearly as much as they inherently believe. Someone who needs a reality check and who can develop from it. I'm keeping my wants very loose because I'm far more interested in organically letting her grow bit by bit. As of this moment, I intent to stay to the end! Though, I've got commitments IRL that may hinder my participation in the future. If matters change, of course I'll keep conversation open with GM to let them know.
