The United Republic of America Redemptio (URA Redemptio), a class-II transport B-HMETH cruiser-ship is a six mile long ship with a built in security force, artificial central park, and shopping area. On its fourteenth journey from Earth to the small moon planet of MB1242 for worker transportation, a distress call was issued for a smaller vessel, a scientific one which had been missing for six years off the far reaches of known space.

The URA Baychimo is found and collected with no life-forms on board, any data, logs, or recollection of the previous crew is found. The only remaining piece of working machinery is an unknown pod with which some hypothesize was an experimental inter-dimensional way of travel. While this becomes a mystery to the 2,000 inhabitants of the URA Redemptio, the ship continues its journey with the Baychimo en-tow.

That was until last night. When a massive electromagnetic pulse went out, disabling the ship. The source was from the Baychimo, and from the quarantined pod there was a breach. Chaos enveloped the ship, as the things that flowed from the Baychimo were unknown. They were hybrids of metal and humans, speaking in an unknown tongue and tearing through the ship, feasting and infecting the inhabitants of the URA Redemptio.

It is in this chaos that you begin the journey, to save your own skin?

To escape?

To find out the answers of who and what these demonic things are?

Welcome to the URA Redemptio.

May somebody hear you scream out here.

He'd been sleeping when the screams first hit, when the echoes of yelling and grinding metal had begun. Marcus had got up from his cell and looked out the bars to see URA-Sec running down the hallway to the deafening yells of the rest of the inmates. They were screaming about something that had torn one of their peers apart. Marcus yelled to Jackson, one of the rookie URA-Sec officers. The kid snapped to him, sweating, blinking rapidly out of fear.

"What's going on?" Marcus was stone-cold, focused.

"These things are attacking us--we don't know what--" Jackson raised his rifle but the thing was on him. Marcus recoiled but kept his gaze. The thing was human, or once was. Its limbs from the knees and elbows were thick, sharp pieces of metal, and their scarred bodies were covered in bloody marks. Their faces were wide mouths with razor teeth; their voices deep and demonic. Marcus knew nothing could get through the bars. He watched as the thing sunk its teeth into Jackson's neck with ease, pulling away muscle and bone. Jesus, he thought. I'm trapped in here.

Unless somebody else was nearby who had the card-key to get him out, he'd rot in here. That didn't sound that bad when compared with what he was still trying to figure out what he'd just seen.
