Backstory

Julien is the youngest child of a French supermodel, Giselle Dupont, and an American businessman, Peter Campbell. She was raised bilingually and is fluent in French, spending every summer there. She has an older sister, Pauline, and an older brother, William. She ended up following her mom's footsteps and becoming a model after spending a lot of time around her mom working as a child. However, this was not without consequences. She was hospitalized for anorexia when she was 17. The spotlight contributed to her struggle to recover and she struggled until she was 20. While the true nature of her hospitalization was not given to the public, it was heavily speculated on why she disappeared from public life for months at a time. Her fluctuating weight during periods of recovery and relapse (while she was still objectively small) was the topic of conversation, which made recovery especially difficult. Right now, it is under control, fortunately. She advocates for reform in the modeling industry and is against promoting unhealthy body images because of the significant impact it had on her life. She debates on explaining what was happening those three years. On one hand, she thinks it is hypocritical to advocate for change in the industry without explaining the extent of its effect on her, but on the other, she already has so much focus on her body, she doesn't want people scrutinizing it even more. Two years ago, she was in a car accident that left her with a concussion, a couple stitches, and a broken wrist that needed surgery. This happened while she was traveling for a photoshoot. The other driver was hurt pretty seriously, although they have fully recovered, thankfully. Since then, she is not the biggest fan of driving. While that isn't much of an issue when she is home in New York, it does cause some issues when traveling.

Persona

Because Julien does try to keep her personal life out of the public eye, there can be misconceptions about her. She is seen as a party girl, staying out late with friends and attending exclusive parties. This comes with the assumption that she drinks and does drugs at these parties based on the people she is surrounded by. She may have a drink or two, but has never even so much as smoked a cigarette. She is just outgoing and likes to have fun, which can be misconstrued sometimes. However, she is sensitive and stubborn. She struggles with self doubt and taking criticism too personally. She tries to strive for perfection, but this can cause disappointment since nobody is truly perfect. Despite this, she is loyal and hard working. She will do what is best for her friends, even if it is a tough decision. She is selective in who she decides to trust, but this is only because she is so sensitive when it comes to her true feelings, she doesn't want to risk being hurt.

even though he is only 22, he often prefers work over play. he could go months without attending parties and events but his agents wouldn't allow such a thing. events are great opportunities to work the room and meet people within the industry, meaning more money for his agency. due to the drive that his agency enforced in him, a lot of reasoning behind his actions is a scheme to push his career further. he's a natural opportunist who will do anything to get to the top of the film industry.

→relationships: lorenzo has a rocky relationship with the singer after a brief meeting at an event that ended up in an argument. lorenzo was too intoxicated to remember what really happened, but he remembers commenting on how much he disliked their music. at least people can credit his honesty.

biography

lorenzo tate, usually known as enzo to close friends and family, was born in crema, northern italy. born into a wealthy family, enzo and his older sister alita were two very happy, carefree children. his father, leonardo, owned a company that specialised in architecture while his mother, sofia, was a famous dressmaker. despite his parents success, they never sugarcoated the fact that not everybody was so privileged. enzo witnessed firsthand the genorosity of his parents who would make donations to a number of different causes and even volunteer their time at homeless shelters, animal shelters, refugee camps to name a few. enzo admired his parents tremendously and hoped to follow in their footsteps of helping those who needed it.

it was in high school that lorenzo noticed his passion for acting. he attended a private school, much to his dismay, where his teacher would frequently commend him for the performances he would give in acting class. he would regularly partake in the school's theatre shows and plays, which got the ball rolling for his future career. once he finished high school he decided to give acting his full attention by enrolling in the prestigious julliard school in new york that was well-known for it's performing arts. along with his love of acting, he also fell in love with new york. only a few months into his first semester of college, he knew new york was a place he would end up permanently living. he had an array of opportunities in the big apple as opposed to the city of crema he was used to. soon after finishing college, he was scouted by a major agency who managed to get him a few auditions. enzo was quick to notice that he was typecast as the stereotypical jock figure in the movies he was getting auditions for. as exciting as the prospects were at the start, he became burnt out over time.

determined to make his dream work, he sat idly by and played out these characters so he could at least make a name for himself. he was well-versed in the film industry and knew without some sort of status, he had no power. once he had built up a platform and a career he decided to start making demands. he scouted for his own auditions for films and roles he truly believed in. luckily for him, he actually got his own way. he began to receive roles that thoroughly excited him and was cast in more alternative cinema as opposed to mainstream boy-meets-girl, falls in love type films. he was even nominated as best actor at the oscar's for his role in a cult film but missed out to rami malek's performance in bohemian rhapsody. even to be nominated was an honour in itself.

with the film prospects and offers piling up, it seemed somewhere along the line that the fame got to enzo. he used to be a happy-go-lucky sort of person but he felt a great amount of responsibility and pressure to always perform well, be chivalrous and kind. the feeling of not being able to be himself caused him to act up. even though people like to assume they know who lorenzo tate is - they don't. enzo isn't even sure of who he is himself, so he's attempting to figure himself out while under the spotlight.

Background
Born in Baton Rouge, Lousiana Odilon wasn't expected to be the next Bill Gates. Expectations always seemed low for those making there way from the smaller town, not because they weren't capable but because a lot of the people were complacent. It was no difference for Odi whose mother seemed satisfied with banking on his athleticism to get him out. As selfish as it seemed, she meant well though curbing her son's curiosity into sciences was probably not the best way to go.

Even at a young age Odilon seemed to take interest in mixing different things in the house (even causing a mini explosion at one point) but his natural affinity for sports helped him excel at basketball, baseball and football. He'd continue to grow up deep into sports, while exploring his curiosity for chemistry at school or when his mother wasn't in the house.

Besides his dad not being around a lot (he wasn't an absent dad he just moved to take an oil rig job to support his family) there was nothing too out of the ordinary in his life. As he got older his mother started to press him more into sports and he got to spend less time with his passion. It wasn't until a sit down with his elder brother that he then started to fall in love with football, becoming a 4 star prospect in the meanwhile before taking a scholarship offer from the school in the same city, Louisiana State University. There he'd find his way back to this passion in Chemical Engineering and having a very successful career at LSU before becoming a first round pick for the New York Giants after his Junior season, though he went back and finished his degree in the off seasons.

He spent a couple of years in the NFL and is having a very successful career.


Persona
Emotional fireball who tends to overreact to things. He seems to be extremely sensitive, letting things get to him that probably shouldn't. Though his sensitivity serves him well as he tends to be an empath, and knows how to treat someone well or help them feel better. The caveat is between his anger outbursts and narcissism, there's a lot of times as he uses his empathetic nature to manipulate the people who are around him. Other than that he is usually very sweet and goofy, who likes to read and perform experiments using his Chemical Engineering degree in the offseason taking on jobs in his career path. He's been called a pretty boy, though that might be accurate.


Appearance
Blessed with the body of Adonis, Odi seemed to have won the genetic lottery. A thick healthy bear sits on his face and healthy long hair on his head (though it is dyed and styled.) His eyes are a dark oak brown that flirts with being the color white, and his skin is a chestnut color that was a bit darker when he lived in his Louisiana but since being in New York has lightened up a bit. He isn't the tallest, there is some debate between his height as his doctors have measured him at 5'11 but NFL physicians have him at 6'0. He is extremely well sculpted, as if a chiseled statue of Adonis himself. His body is covered in tattoos, and is ears are pierced. He is very fashion forward and tends to experiment a bit with his fashion choices.

Personality:
Ailyn is literally described as the Ice Queen; a cold-hearted girl who tends to keep people at a distance. While she's not rude per se, there are times where your efforts to strike up a conversation can be nullified. When you first meet her you try to like her and understand why she is the way she is, but that effort is useless. If you do that, she'll definitely never open up to you. You have to let her warm up to you on her own and get to know you. She has feelings but chooses not to show them simply based on the fact that she fears to get hurt and being manipulated. When it comes to working, she's very serious and passionate about it. So when she's focused, don't interrupt her. She'll just get angry with you and she's very liable to snap on you. Don't take this the wrong way, as most of the time she doesn't actually mean it and others she does. Especially since you've just messed up her concentration. Once you do manage to get in past those barriers she's a fun and goofy person. She'll take time to make jokes, roast, bond with people and do just live her life like there's no tomorrow. Probably a little too much, as she can often get out of hand with the partying drugs and alcohol wise. She'll forever believe she needs to just live, so she uses this as a way to justify everything she does. When it comes to relationships, she's the most loyal person ever. There are times where she can start flirting, but it's always harmless in her eyes. To the other person or the guy she's dating, it's not.

Bio:
Ailyn Sheppard was born a military brat and military brats are a different kind of breed. Since she had to move around so frequently, mostly every 2-3 years, she became independent and learned to distance herself. She would never keep up with all of these people, so she made it a point to keep everyone she met at a distance. At around the age of 8 or 9, her father passed away, leaving her and her mother to fend for themselves. Since her mother was also in the military, taking care of her daughter became increasingly difficult when she needed to go to the field or when she deployed. Any time this happened, Ailyn would stay with her aunt and uncle, as they didn't live too far in some of the places they would move to. There were times where she loved staying at her aunt and uncle's place, but as she got older she began to hate it. Why did she have to come here every time her mother had to go?

During her days growing up, she would get into all sorts of trouble. Most of the time it was because she wanted attention from mom and others it was simply because she felt like it. When she was 15 Ailyn got into some big trouble and she got sent away to a boarding school in London. She would remain there until she turned 18 and came back to the States to continue her education at NYU before traveling. Ailyn had long since decided she wanted to be a fashion designer and what better way to that then traveling the world? She studied under great fashion designers and artists before starting her own linevibe. Now, she's New Yorks youngest fashion designer and quickly creating a name for herself.

All About Jordan
Jordan is a mystery to some. His cool demeanor brings people in, making them want to get to know him instantly. However, he doesn't open up to just anyone. He has to have known you for a while before letting you know something personal about himself, not really trusting people. But the things he does let everyone see is that he is a huge nerd and a lover of words. Sometimes he'll even recite works of literature just for the hell of it, or even lines from his favorite movies, tv shows, and anime. Jordan has a big heart and cares for people unconditionally, even if he doesn't know who they are. He will always try to make people feel comfortable and check on them when he notices something off. He's very passionate and because he cares about people, he will never do something to try and hurt them. It'll take a lot to piss him off, as he never really gets upset since he's one of those people who aren't really bothered. Even though he's this great guy, he's one of the most stubborn people ever. It can get annoying and make you not want to be around him sometimes, but eventually he will give in. [/div] [/div] [div class=htext] [div class=scroll] Jordan was born into a family of doctors up in Seattle, Washington. His father owned his own private practice, where eventually his older brother and sister would work along side their mother. Jordan's mother was a pre-natal surgeon, his father a psychiatrist, his brother a plastic surgeon, and his sister was a cardio-surgeon. Of course, they all thought Jordan was going to follow in their foot-steps and join the medical career and for a while he was going to. Growing up, he watched his family's surgeries on video tape and they would quiz him, trying to make him into the best surgeon ever. They didn't really notice that he was more into the journals, more into reading than he was watching the surgeries. It wasn't the medical topic that they held that interested him at all, but the way the words were written. Words had always been a love of his and when he learned what he could do with it, that started his obsession. He would grow up living a double life, wanting to be a writer but doing medical studies to please his family. Secretly he wrote online and shared his stories with the world and when they started giving him positive feedback, it fed his desire to continue. When he left for college, he went on taking pre-med classes, trying to convince himself that becoming a doctor was going to give him a better career than becoming a writer. He soon learned that he could be a double major so he chose writing and pre-med, but never told his parents. During his 4th year, he decided that it would be time to tell his parents the truth about what he wanted to do with his life. His parents, of course, didn't take this too well and basically disowned him for the next 3 years. It wasn't until his sister convinced his parents at how ridiculous it all was that they tried to see things from his persepcetive and read some of his work. They were impressed, became fans even but they didn't know how to fix what they had already broken. It was his sister who convinced him to come around again and just talk to them and after a while, things were fine..   Brice is the quintessential fresh off the boat guy, or, perhaps 'plane' is more appropriate. He comes from a well-off family and only lets that get to his head in the best way [if such a way does exist]. Unlike the rich kid careless with spending and flaunting the money that's not actually his, he's pompous with the dominant, go-getter personality to strive for his own successes. He has a leadership mentality -- positive traits for a business-oriented drive. However, his level of narcissism and bad habit of being condescending follow. Where he gets his arrogant attitude is a bit of a mystery since neither of his parents are like that, but perhaps it's just a phase? Or maybe a subconscious cover for something more? ...Or he's just a jerkface. --Pick your excuse and stick to it. In conversation, he may be very blunt and sarcastic, but knows how to 'recover' his words if they strike someone the wrong way as he's crafty with speech.

  "Dad was on a business trip to the U.S. when he met Mom. As the story goes, he went out after work with a coworker to a burlesque show. Mom was one of the performers that night and Dad made it backstage after the show. And, well, they clicked. They were in a long-distance relationship until Dad finally convinced her to move to Taiwan and they married.
  
  "I can't lie; life's been pretty easy. The worst thing I've probably had to deal with is moving to another country... I was born in Sanxia, New Taipei City and spent most of my life in Taiwan until I was 15. My parents made it a point to make sure I fit in regardless of my background... Honestly, I don't see why they had to work so hard considering I was growing up surrounded by Taiwanese culture." -shrug- "Mom's the main reason I speak English and I am aware of some Irish customs.

Life was never intended to be easy for the Valentino family. Manuel Valentino, Kortia's grandfather, was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. As a child Manuel spent most of his days scraping food together for his family. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, his mother sent him on a raft to get to the United states when was only 12. There he would join one of his Aunts before eventually gaining permanent residency. He'd take up baseball in High School and earn a baseball scholarship to the University of Miami. He excelled at baseball but something compelled him to protect the country that helped him escape his poverty so he opted to join the Navy. While in the Navy, Manuel would work his way up to Read Admiral Lower Half (1 star Admiral) before retiring at age 48. During this time he married an Afro-Cuban woman and had two children. After his Military career he went to private defense consulting before building a multi billion dollar empire.



This passed on to his eldest son, Captain Roberto "Bobby" Juan Valentino, who would join the Navy like his father eventually becoming a Navy SEAL. After several successful missions, included planned joint operations, Roberto would work his way to Captain leaving the active field and instead commanding special operations fleets. During this time he would marry a black woman that he had met in High School. Despite his father's insistence that he marry someone in his class, he married the woman anyway. She was a biochemist and a very successful one at that, even if her 250k salary wasn't up to the billion dollar standards of Manuel, They would also have their own children, before he eventually took his father's place and ran the company.



One of those Children was Kortia. Kortia was born along side her elder brother, Jayceon but was raised completely different than he was (she had another elder brother but he was the family screw up.) While he was groomed to run the business and become a SEAL, following the tradition of the patriarchs, Kortia was sheltered and raised 'girly' to become a wife. Part of that was to follow the archaic ideology of marrying her off to build a business relationship, the other was to learn how to deal with businesses like a woman. Her eldest brother would eventually go the University of Miami like his father before him before heading off to the Navy when Kortia was merely 15 years old. It would only be two years later when herbrother would be MIA.



Though his body was never found, they didn't tell the family much and they did their best to move on to groom their next eldest to take over the business. The military for him was a lost cause. Unbeknownst to them, Kortia had begun training in her free time preparing herself to become a Navy SEAL like her brother before her. When her elder brother began battling drugs, they began to groom Kortia to take over the business. Excited to finally send her off to the University of Miami as was the tradition in the family, they said their good byes. What they didn't know was though the young woman earned a full academic scholarship for her merit, she also jointed the Navy ROTC. They didn't learn this, or perhaps they didn't' care to learn this, until she left for Officer Candidate School. Eventually she'd become a SEAL Sniper and take on many successful missions like her brother before her, all while learning the ins and outs of the business from her father in the meanwhile. She just returned to home in the Upper East Side on an extended leave. She had been on so many missions back to back, that command had given her a very long leave.

"My family means everything to me. They're the reason I even joined the SEALs. I wanted to keep our family's name clean and in good standing. I wanted to show that the Valentinos are not to be messed with. I wanted to show my late brother he will be missed...that he was my hero."

Goofy, might be the best way to describe Tia. She always tends to go out her way to make sure that everyone in the room is smiling. It was her nature, as evident in the several programs she started for underprivileged students and others in the area. She even started an after school program for kids that focused on games and laughter to help them learn. She has a bad habit of sacrificing herself and well-being for family, tending to lose sight of her own goals to ensure that her family is taken care of. That loyalty is as big as an asset as it is hindrance for the hard worker who would love nothing more to sip Starbucks and help kids the rest of her life.

She's very into her appearance, opting to spend most of her money on clothes and makeup as she was raised to do so by her mother. When it comes to her friends she seems to be loyal to a flaw, and a tad bit gullible with and often gets betrayed because of it. She has a heart of gold and likes to volunteer at animal shelters and gets really sad being away from her dogs and guinea pig. Despite all of this cuteness and kindness, once you are on her bad side she had a terrible habit of holding a grudge until her deathbed. She won't stab you in the back but she won't do anything help you in the process.

  Manaia exhibited a sense of independence at an early age and is known to be a fairly serious person. As the oldest of four, she held a great amount of responsibility in her growing life which carried itself into her adulthood, having to care for her younger siblings and help out the family by working. She believes it's important to maintain order by doing what's necessary to stay afloat. This means keeping her mind geared toward determining the next task at hand and figuring out how to get it done. There's little time for anything that diverts her attention away from the goal with few exceptions. This has awarded her the titles of "bossy" or "controlling", and at times "boring". However, those who know her are aware that she does it out of love and have also deemed her "motherly".   When she wasn't busy taking care of everyone else, she enjoyed experimenting with body art and socializing with friends. Body paints (and some makeups) were readily available in her community and she used art as an outlet for her stress or to simply express herself since there wasn't much opportunity for her to open up to others.   "I was born in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand in a rural-esque Maori community, or hapu. My parents are into namesakes, so as the first born, I'm named after both of them, Joseph Tamati and Manaia Paora. I'd have been named only after my mother if my father wasn't concerned about not having a son... Those concerns turned out valid as I have two younger sisters, Hana and Kiri, and the last born, an unplanned younger brother, Joseph Jr.
  
  "Growing up, my father was a drifter, coming in and out of our lives. My mother normalized it when I was young, but I learned how ridiculous his antics were once I got older. Most women in our hapu didn't work consistently, but had husbands to support the brunt of expenses. So, with my father being undependable, my mother traveled to the city for work. This left me in charge of my siblings: watching them, cooking, making sure they got to school, and so on... Really, it'll be a miracle if I ever have kids of my own; feels like I've been there, done that." -chuckles-
  
  "Once I reached about 15, I got a job of my own, feeling like I owed it to my mother to contribute financially. During tourist events and festivals, it was customary for the women to make crafts and food to sell, but I was given the honor of putting makeup and paint on the performers. Originally, I volunteered to do makeup, but my talents became noticed by some leaders of the runanga, so they offered to pay me to do it for special occasions. I didn't get paid much, but it was worth it to now be able to portray my art and make money. I continued doing that until I got "discovered," but we'll get to that...

We've been friends since we were kids and our relationship seemed to grow toward the end of high school, but we never called ourselves anything beyond best friends.   "A year passed since I graduated high school and I got noticed by this businesswoman from the U.S. during a tourist event. We spoke after the show and I showed her my work in action. She then told me she ran her own beauty parlor and was impressed by the skill I was able to present in a short amount of time without training and offered to pay my way through art school in the U.S. to hone my skills if I would work for her for at least five years. The offer was surreal, but after consulting with my mother, I sure as hell took it. However, I promised mother and siblings that I wasn't leaving them behind and made it a point to always send money and visit when I can.

Bio:
Alex Mastrianni spent his youth tagging the city of Boston while his parents slaved away working to afford their apartment. Alex was lucky enough to attend a school where art supplies were of essence, and he always did love painting. The busy Mastrianni household pushed Alex out of the house a lot, but he wasn’t like his brother in that sense. Alex enjoyed the city, it’s sights, but mostly it’s people. He reveled in getting to know people.

Alex’s love for people got him into the social scene in Boston, at a young age he would sneak into clubs, and bars, ranging from wealthy tourists to poorer locals, Alex wanted stories. The stories were the best part, and each story moved him in such a different way. After meeting an exceptional person, who would tell him an exceptional story, Alex would pick a drug of his choice and sneak into an old abandoned warehouse by the seaport he set up shop in.

After his brother had made it in New York for two years, Alex propositioned him to sell a couple of his paintings, hoping the rich loads would find them eccentric and amusing. Alex knew his brother was resentful to let him move into his place and attempt to sell his paintings, but he did. And after about a year of trying to sway upper east siders, one of the older women in the community, who took a liking to Alex, and had her foot in the door when it came to art dealers, pushed his paintings and his business took up. It wasn’t long before Alex could afford his own place, looked down on by his neighbors having come from new money. But one thing was certain, the night life and the drugs of the New York scene was hard to beat when you had money to do whatever you pleased.

She doesn't have much patience for people who waste her time and drag things out. As long as she is efficient she doesn't mind if she's a villain. Although she hates people who dawdle, if they can make good music... she gives them a few more chances. Loca may seem all about music but she secretly finds bizarre Japanese game shows enjoyable, though she'll never admit that to anyone. It's also the cause of her weird sense of humour. The only person who can tell her off is her mother and the only person she can't tell off is her mother. She also happens to adore spicy Asian food and red pandas.[/div]

[div class="ty tabsContent tabsContentBiography" style="display: none;"]She was born to a single mother in a rural town in the Netherlands on a bleak Christmas Eve. Her father had run away from home before she was even born. The only time she ever saw him was when they found his emaciated body in the sewers on her second birthday. What a birthday present that was. The two of them then moved away when she was five and settled down in Ottawa, Canada.
She was quite a mischievous child and very prone to breaking things. But Loca knew her mother well and toed her bottom line... most of the time. Her mother kept finding new and creative ways to try and keep her out of the house to keep her sanity intact. Her mother may be fierce but scolding all day, every day takes a toll. Especially since Loca was practically immune to it after so long.
She started her music career in middle school when her mother sent her to community guitar lessons to get her out of their tiny apartment. Her teacher wasn't particularly attentive or caring, but Loca absolutely adored those lessons. Music gave her the ability to feel and be anything. She was obsessed with creating music after that. A few months of guitar lessons later, Loca started a band with a few of her friends called "Losbreken". It ended just as quickly as it started due to differing skill levels, bad scheduling and waning interest.
Since she focused more on music and stopped being such a troublemaker, the two got along better than before. The calmer relationship between the two of them made Loca notice just how much her mother sacrificed to support them both. She worked a low-end job because her degrees didn't apply and had little to no friends because she was not proficient in English. With that in mind, Loca decided to work harder than ever before so as to not burden her mother. This also caused her personality to change to what she became known for.
In high school, she focused more on her grades than on her music to get a scholarship into a university so she wouldn't have to force her mother to pay her tuition with the little money she had saved up. She was granted some scholarship money but not enough and in the end, took a loan. University was hectic but entertaining, and she built and destroyed countless relationships with her temper. She graduated with a degree in the arts, majoring in psychology and minoring in independent music production. Unfortunately, almost none of her many friends and acquaintances stayed in touch after she graduated.
When interning for a job, realized that she hated working with mental patients and hated being in a hospital so she quit and ran off to the music industry. With a determined heart, good work ethics and a (small) buttload of debt to back her up, she quickly got a small job. Lots of hard work and showings of her portfolio later, she... didn't become an artist but became a producer instead. Background
What is the criteria for an easy life? I'm sure that statement was always meant in a relative context. From a financial standpoint, Saruh had it easy. She was born the first of two, to parents who had made successful careers in law. Her mother was a defense attorney who had defended many of the local celebrities of Atlanta in their high profile cases, while her father was on the other end. He was a District Attorney. Before that he was a very successful lawyer at a top law firm. This made Saruh's upbringing in Atlanta very easy.

She grew up infatuated with arts, which her mother initially welcomed. She picked up a paintbrush at the age of 4, and by the age of 6 had pieces of her work featured in the local museums. At the age of 5 she picked up the piano, and then the guitar. Overtime she picked up many other instruments and eventually learned over 20. She found music was her calling, and would spend days just sitting outside in the grass just singing and listening to the sounds of nature. Her favorite thing to do was wake up early, and listening to the calls of the morning birds, even joining in sometime.

It was when she was about 12, when some high profile case about a group of kids being killed by cops caught her mother's attention. This started her transition from defense attorney to an interest of Civil Rights cases. It seemed that her once loving nature went with it. After some wins and some losses, she began to resent the arts and Saruh's infatuation of them. Saying as a straight A student she was wasting her time and talents. She needed to use her brain to help her people or it would be such a waste.

Her mother started putting Saruh into special classes and into a special school. This school allowed Saruh to receive her high school diploma early, finishing at 14, and having her A.A. in Paralegal Studies by 16. If it were up to her mother Saruh would have transferred straight to Georgia State to finish up and enter law school by 18, but her father saw the unhappiness in his daughter so after speaking with Saruh, he struck a deal with her mother. She'd work for his firm as a Paralegal, but she'd go back to High School and spend half the day there (the mornings) so she can have a normal life.

Though it was short lived, as the next year (her junior year) her father left to be a named partner at one of New York's biggest firms, she was still afforded this opportunity of schedule just at her mother's firm. Saruh would spend her final two years in High School that way. Working part time at her mother's firm during the school year. 830-12 she'd take her AP classes and 12:30- 6, she'd work at her mother's firm. During the breaks she'd work full time. Using the money she earned and all her free time, she'd dive into music. Writing, singing, recording, using almost every last dime she had to chase her dream. Her mother seemed to disapprove of her choices, but because it was her money and she was working at her firm, she couldn't stop her. Instead she would remind her every five minutes that she was wasting her time, and that she was worthless as a paralegal but if she focused she'd be great, she was wasting her potential.

It wasn't until Saruh graduated high school (despite already having a diploma and an Associate's) that she chose to choose Spelman College despite her mother pushing her for Columbia. She was finally moving to New York with her husband in a year or so, having only stayed in Atlanta when her son returned and was thriving at Football at Norcross High. Saruh initially chose to Major in Theatre and Music. So though she had a full scholarship, her mother didn't help her with the extra expenses and so she worked at a cafe her Freshman year, saving up all her money to just use towards music (and weed.) It wasn't until she was able to broker a deal with her mother, that all that change. She get a law degree (Psychology Pre-Law), join her Sorority (Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc.) and she'd pay for her an apartment and give her a monthly allowance of 2,000.

Saruh managed to finish her Psychology pre-law degree at age 20, only after two years into school. The whole while she spent her time making music and doing her best to take advantage of the Atlanta music scene, building a little buzz. It was enough to do a show here or there, but not enough to lose her mother's support. Eventually she'd head to Howard in D.C. for law school, finishing up here at age 23. Unfortunately she still hadn't caught her break and her reserve money was running dry. She got an offer from the firm her father was at, but she really didn't want to go.

In her last couple months after law school she performed at an open mic night. The head of an up and coming music label spotted her and enjoyed her music extending an offer for her to open up for one of their rappers. He had been looking for woman R&B singer to get more women to listen to their music. The reaction to her music was a success, and he extended her an offer to tour with them. The pay wouldn't be great, she was still unknown and she would spend lots of time in motels and sleeping on tour buses but it was her chance to chase her dream.

Over the next year she gotten more and more popular, collaborating with other people from the label before finally dropping her EP Z. This skyrocketed her popularity and she began to headline her own shows, though they were still relatively small but momentum was building. It all culminated with her first Major Album that saw her first major single go platinum, and then eventually her album netting her first Grammy nominations at age 26. Though she had won and been nominated for awards before, her several Grammy nominations would be the high point of her life. Unfortunately, she didn't win any but vowed she'd continue to work hard to one day reach the goal.



Persona
Saruh is an Enigma in perhaps the worst way. She is probably the most apathetic person in the world. Selfish, probably wouldn't be a good description considering that she goes to bat for her little brother, but she is distant and often emotionally broken. She is a wonderful problem solver when it comes to other people's problems, but she tends to shut down when it comes to her own. She is incredibly intelligent though she often comes off as air headed and ignorant.



Appearance
Saruh is often described as beautiful with her large hair and thick but slim body. Her deep brown skin seems to glow and her dark brown eyes seem to captivate those who gaze into them. She has big lips often accented by clear lip gloss and her style is definitely black hipster with a side of fashionista. She doesn't come in tall at 5'4, but she tends to stand out with her weird antics despite the anxiety she suffers from.

Background:

Like everyone with a past, Imani's is one that she wants to stay in the past. It's highly classified and the only people that know of her past are behind in it. Since her younger years, Imani has changed greatly. She immediately became a detective at 22, worked hard and studied hard for her masters and became a sergeant at the young age of 25. The following year she was promoted to lieutenant at 26. When she turned 27, she was given the title of police commissioner, how did such a young woman become the first colored woman to become the police commissioner of the NYPD? Imani put in the hours, worked hard, and was the top of every class she attended. She had outstanding honors and telling the mayor that she would be under the watch of the previous commissioner as well as being a "beam of light" for the city because she was a woman of color and woman in general. Many still don't believe in her, but those in her squad and main precinct know what Imani is capable of and know that she is one of the most passionate cops out there and the right choice for their first female leader.

bio: Nicolai was born in Modena, Italy to a hardworking mother and father. His mother, Helena, and father, Gio were a retail worker and a mechanic who had long hours and weeks that seemed more like months or years. Nicolai was raised mainly by baby sitters and day cares since his parents were always away. His longest baby sitter was an woman who watched him from the time he was 3 to 11 and sat him in front of the tv to watch American music videos and tv shows. Some where along the way Nicolai learned to pick up musical instruments and learn how to play them. He was entranced by instruments with strings and for many Christmases he asked for lessons and instruments, but was always denied. Until he was 9 when he got his first guitar and lessons free for three months. Nicolai always attended his lessons on time for the entire time every day for ninety days and when his lessons were over he would watch anything that he could to learn more. Nicolai was always with his guitar learning new songs and then discovered his singing voice shortly after. As he grew up, his lessons in school became less and less important to him and what was more important was his music and recording more YouTube videos with his best friend from school. With more YouTube videos and his failing grades, his parents began to frown upon on his dream and the only reason they allowed any of this to slide was because of his growing popularity and rise of internet fame.

At the young age of 15, Nicolai reached ninety thousand followers on YouTube and Instagram and he and his best friend decided to start a group and from there the rest is history. Nicolai became very popular across Italy and eventually made his influence throughout Europe. While he was living his younger self's dream, all he wanted was to go to America and be big there, but because the music was mainly in Italian he never had one of his songs played there. As he grew older and was with the fame, Nicolai began to spiral down into drugs and the his music began to grow darker and darker until his label dropped him and his best friend left the group.

Because of this and on the brink of a mental breakdown and ending it all, Nicolai discovered his love for painting. Slowly it started with making streaks on a napkin with some old ketchup and mustard before he claimed to start "seeing his paintings". With this new love for painting and how it calmed him, with what was left from his pop star phase money Nicolai packed his bags and moved to New York. Now he was invested in painting and his artwork with his new life. Because he never came to America, he didn't have any friends and at some point he was going to run out of money. When in America, do what you can to live that American dream and fuel your new dreams.

Nicolai also hates showing his face or making an appearance when his paintings are in the spot light. His paintings were recognized over the internet that soon went viral and he left a fresh piece on the steps of the mayor's office who was a big fan. Since then, he has sold some of his pieces at local art fairs and auctions.

personality: Lord have mercy, Nicolai is something else. He comes off as a lazy bum who only gets inspiration when he's on something. He's ver laid back, chill, non chalant, and relaxed.   An Vinh can be summed up as a tomboy-ish rebel who lives her life day by day. She fully embraces the concept of her life being her own and doesn't take well to convention or conformity, especially just to make herself an easier pill to swallow for others. Unsure of exactly what she wants out of life, she feels that's the best way to ensure many options stay open. However, while she continues to stand firm, her beliefs have swayed multiple times in the name of her parents.
  
  She's never quite been the child her parents wanted. Although no slacker, she didn't excel in school, her grades varying across the board. While cute, she's never been very effeminate in her behaviors or expressions, doing things her parents felt were unladylike and unbecoming of their "delicate flower". Coming out about her sexuality had been an accident and they definitely didn't take well to their daughter being attracted to other women. They didn't reject her; however, they chose to ignore it, deciding that she was simply going through a phase. Then, all of those things fall on top of the fact that her life has no direction. Aside from obviously wanting their acceptance as she is, there are times that she simply wished she could be who they want her to be and has even considered conceding, wondering if they just might be right about the path she should take to fulfill her life. Go to university and get a standard well-paying job, be a beautiful and skilled housewife married to a successful man, or some combination of the two... Yet, the frustration this has caused her makes her push back more, purposely spiting them or anyone else who she feels is trying to control her. If something displeases her, she will make it known.
  
  When it comes to her social life, she's laid back and generally friendly with everyone; people have describe her aura as "comfortable". She keeps a circle of acquaintances but only a handful of close friends. She's always had a more difficult time relating to female peers and has more male connections. Most people she comes across seem to establish an immediate opinion, either liking or disliking her with few falling in between. However, this doesn't concern her so long as no one bothers her directly. She's not necessarily a party animal, but she knows how to blend and have a good time. It doesn't take much to entertain or make her happy.

  Biography:
  Connecting as first and second generation children of Vietnamese immigrants in Los Angeles, California, Brian Phan and Lydia Ng met in high school and became friends before their relationship progressed into a romance during college. Shortly after the couple completed their undergraduate studies, Lydia birthed a daughter that they chose to name An Vinh. She was raised in a devout Catholic household and attended church regularly since she can remember. There, she met Céleste, the priest's daughter and her best-friend-to-be, who was the one to coin her with the common usage of the nickname 'Vinh'.
  
  An Vinh and Céleste's friendship played an instrumental role in the evolution of her sexuality, or rather, both of their sexuality. It began when they entered high school as an experimental, friends-with-benefits sort of relationship that she initiated to help confirm her growing suspicions about herself and Céleste played along. This carried on through high school until a scandal during their senior year caused a rift between the two. However, while they haven't seen each other since high school, their unbreakable bond forces them to sparingly keep in contact, simply checking on the other's well-being, even if awkward at times.
  
  Due to the drama, after graduating, she left home at 17 (or was rather sent) to live with relatives in Vietnam for a year and a half, then returned to America, living with her parents again. They had figured their daughter was too disconnected from her cultural heritage and the "trip" would help her to redeem herself. She's not sure if their plan necessarily worked, but life is a journey and she's steadily figuring hers out.
  
  Her relationship with her parents is generally distant, the gap widening after the fiasco, and they serve primarily as authoritative figures in her life. She loves them, but they often don't see eye-to-eye; she has this problem more with her father than her mother. Despite the constant undertones that serves as reminders to how 'disappointed' they are with her 'rebellion', they find ways to periodically remind her that they care.
  
  Baking and skateboarding have always been her two biggest passions, so while working at a bakery, she'd always practice skateboarding in her spare time. As her skills improved significantly, she began regularly entering local competitions and winning, going on to enter larger competitions and continuing to find success. She swiftly gained attention and even fans. She has become one of the top women in the sport and is considered a role model to young girls interested in the sport, especially young girls of color who are severely scarce. However, she still hasn't managed to fully satisfy her parents; she's not the bum they worried she would be, but they find her career choice to be ludicrous. Though, every now and then, she'll catch them at one of her shows/competitions.
  
  Now on the verge of 30, she has begun thinking long term and has been considering pursuing a formal education so that she has something to fall back on.

Kinipela Kimberly Palakiko, is the second of three children born to the lovely union of Captain Kimberly Alexandra Masoli-Palakiko and Jeremiah Konani Masoli-Palakiko. Her mother was a US Navy Fighter Pilot who ended up stationed in Hawaii before falling in love with one of the natives. When they married they wasted no time on having children. Three to be exact: Jeremiah Koa, Kinipela Kimberly, and Kimbella Kanani. Jeremiah was named after her father and Kinni was named after her grandmother (Kinipela Palakiko) and took her mother's first name as her middle name. Her younger sister was named after her mother, but since Kinni already had Kimberly in her name they opted for a different but similar name. Her mother and sister share the same nickname, however.

Having a career in the military meant that Kinni was without her mother most of the time, though she did enjoy the rest of her Hawaiian family and siblings. Her life was relatively mundane for a local growing up on Molokai, living much of rural life. Growing up she spent most of her time helping out on her family's farm, with their most successful crops being their coffee and macadamia nuts. They never really made a lot of money, mainly making enough to cover farm and living expenses, but they were content. In actuality, her mother brought the most money to the family as a high ranking Navy Officer and fighter pilot. Her Hawaiian family was always resentful of her mother for not being local though even though it was a bit hypocritical considering their grandfather was from the Samoan islands.

Between the family's farm, her mother's earnings and their father's winning as a professional surfer they were afforded a seemingly well off life despite being on the island with a high living cost (though growing and raising their own food cut living costs significantly.) This afforded Kinni the time to spend most of her free time working on what she wanted to work on which most of her life was surfing and sports.

Despite being stationed in Hawaii, her mother was still a very productive fighter pilot (also once apart of the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program) and called upon to go on many missions and would often be gone for months at a time depending on the nature of the task. Her mother's absence would take a toll on her father who would degrade into an alcoholic and abandon his kids altogether. When her father went MIA, their mother wasted no time in getting them and moving them to Atlanta where she had been reassigned to not long before. Many around the situation believe her reassignment and their disagreement on moving probably led to an argument and their father's subsequent degradation. Since the day their father went missing, they hadn't seen him.

After moving to Atlanta, Kinni was drawn by cheerleading sophomore year of High School. There was no other activity like cheerleading that said 'look at me' for the teenage girl. So despite her basketball coach's urges, she dropped basketball and became a cheerleader. Yet it didn't seem like enough....she always felt like she was missing something...

She found out what she was missing her Sophomore Year in High School when she stumbled onto a fashion show. She loved everything. Modeling, designing clothes, being seen and adored for her fashion. So since that day, she became hip to all of the latest trends. She also started to come up with some crazy ideas of her own, and after getting her hands on a sewing machine...she began to sell her own line.

After her brother left to go play football at the University of Alabama her Junior year in high school, Kinni was left with her own devices to keep herself busy through the day. She'd spend most of her free time with her sister, using her as a model for her fashion and clothes. Since Kinni was doing a good job, Kimmy had no qualms with being her sister's mannequin. Then eventually after a lot of pressure from her mother, and a little bit of wanting to be near her siblings still, headed to Spelman College for school.

At Spelman, Kinni became a cheerleader for the Morehouse College football team, as her school was all woman and Morehouse all men, it was her only route to continued cheerleading. She Majored in Art but through the ARCHE program available at her school, she took a lot of fashion design classes at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She continued to work on her line, Sunrays by Kinni and in her Freshman year met her future Husband. She also caught her first big break her first semester at school. Her brother was entering his third year, second season as starting quarterback at UA. After breaking several records his first full year, their were projections of him going as the first QB in the NFL draft. ESPN had garnered and interest in him and did a story where they focused on his upbringings in Hawaii and his family. Of course Kinni was apart of it and through the whole program she wore outfits that she designed, intentionally of course. When they had the live broadcast of her, her grandmother, and her mother on ESPN before the game Kinni had designed all three of the woman's Alabama themed clothing.

This caught the eye of NIKE who provided the equipment for her brother's schools and several other schools. After the program she was flown out to Oregon to visit the headquarters before being offered a job designing their college apparel. She became extremely busy with that, her own line, cheerleading and school, and it caused stresses in her relationship at every turn, but her hard work paid off. Entering her Junior year, NIKE announced they would be giving her own line of sporting equipment. It started off with girl's basketball players wearing her designs, espescially her Breast Cancer Awareness gear. It then spread to football teams who wore the pink designs in October, including her brother. The entire University of Alabama softball team adopted her gear for their uniforms, both home and away.

Hand in hand, her own line was bought by the mother company that owned designer brands like Tom Ford. Her junior year also saw her pledging to a Sorority and though her mother urged her to go SGRho like she did, Kinni crossed as an AKA. Going into her senior year, she wasn't sure what else she could need almost dropping out of college altogether. She had been making good money at Nike, and now her own line was about see her get millions. That was when her boyfriend proposed to her. She would get married after she graduated and the next few years of her life seemed to be amazing......until everything hit the fan and she got divorced. At least she had her successful fashion line and was a stylist for a lot of celebrities, right?


Persona
Insecurities run rampant through this female bipedal mammal, and they surface often in nasty characteristics. A cheerfully sweet girl by nature and resident clown, many would be surprised to find the nasty name-calling that Kinni could find herself in. A nasty girl with a 'holier than thou' attitude, that seems to find her way into schemes to get ahead. Though most people see her as the sweetheart, anyone who has gotten too close has been witness to her talons.

She is a hardworking girl, always doing everything she can to be at her best, to be the best. She is persevering and does her best to try hard and be patient with her growth. She is mostly selfless, not hesitating to often give up her lunch to someone who is less fortunate. She has the patience of a saint when it comes to things she's working on, and usually can turn out perfection in relatively short time.

Her jealousy sometimes overshadows her good nature, though she is very adept at hiding her schemes. Manipulating and playing her way through life as a game of chess. Her desire to be the best, her desire to achieve greatness seems to be crazy. She is an odd girl, who often watches anime and eats the weirdest dishes in her free time. She hadn't eaten fast food since she was 5 (though she isn't opposed to fast food type food, just not the commercialized, preservative filled things they sell) and tends to love cooking for people as much as she loves eating.

You call her a model and she'll deny it, but deep down she enjoys the attention that her model physique brings her. Long legs have her standing tall above many of those who surround her. Her Dark Oak brown eyes similar to the color of the trees from her mother's home in Georgia, compliment her honey roasted golden caramel skin. Her luscious lips paired with her strong brow and jawline, are a testament to her mother's African roots. Her hair texture varies through her large head of hair, from kinky and curly, to straight and curly, but is predominantly kinky and curly. Her skin is seemingly flawless, blemishes and pimples being almost clear as the cloudless day.

Her appearance isn't perfect, her athletic history has come with its pitfalls including a knee and ankle surgery. that has left a few scars. There are also plenty of scars on her upper left arm, but most of those are covered up by her half sleeve tattoo. She also isn't the most proportionate of people, having thick thighs, small waist, and thick legs but a skinny upper half and small bust size.

Tattoos of all kind cover most of her body, but can't really be seen when she has clothes on. A little of her tattoo on her front can be seen when she wears something that shows off cleavage, or shorts because of leg tattoos that reach below her knees. All of her tattoos mean something and was done the traditional tribal way and she is very proud of them.

herstory:Sierra was the youngest, and only girl, out of four children. Her mother, Sandra, was a housewife who always dreamed of having a little girl to spoil. Her father, Barry, was an executive at an insurance company. She was born and raised in a small town outside of Dallas, Texas. Starting at a few months old, Sandra entered Sierra into beauty pageants, just like her mother had. As Sierra grew older, winning pageants came easy to her. She just knew how to walk, stand, smile, and hold herself perfectly, all while maintaining eye contact with the judges. She would practice her talents and was enrolled in both dance and gymnastics lessons. The more invested Sierra became in pageants, the more money it cost her parents. Her parents, however, were willing to do anything to please their little girl.

Many young competitors dream of becoming Miss America, but very few actually achieve it. Except Sierra. Sierra didn't dream of becoming Miss America, she knew it was going to happen. She was one of the lucky few little girls who received this honor. Years of hard work, large sums of money, and determination had finally paid off. Her friends and family could not have been prouder. After winning her title, she toured the country, promoting a charity of her choice and meeting little girls who aspired to be just like her. Sierra would be lying if she said that she didn't enjoy the attention and admiration.

Since winning Miss America and passing on the title, Sierra had decided to coach young competitors in the pageant system to further her legacy. Parents from all over the country were willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money to have their child coached by a true success story. That money truly paid off for most of those parents. Sierra was just as good, if not better, at making winners as she was being a winner. Not long after she started this endeavor, she was offered her own reality TV show that followed her and her students through their training and to their pageants. The show premiered on Lifetime and became an overnight sensation. People either loved the drama and showcasing of an unfamiliar world, or complained about how these parents forced their children into some sick system. Either way, the show has been a success and has been running for several seasons at this point.

To him, that could mean taking a day trip to Vegas, or leaving his apartment with no plans and let the city guide him. While he lives lavishly now, Ben still remains the same person he was in grad school when he was living paycheck to paycheck, while couch surfing. Only difference now is that he has some extra money to burn these days.

Bio: Growing up, Ben loved being in a household household of blended cultures from his mother and father's side. His mother and father made sure that never felt ashamed of anything about himself. Everything from his appearance to the pork belly he'd bring from lunch, he took pride in. Even though almost everything around him tried to discourage him from doing so. However, while he cherished his own culture, he came to be enamored with black culture as well. As he went into high school, he found himself becoming taken with the music, TV shows, movies, and books that came from black artists. However, as became more and interested in black art, he became more aware of black struggles. He realized that behind the music and shows were people who weren't nearly as respected as their art was. It was then that he started down a path of ally ship and even activism. This along with his love of film making led him to study at Dubois University. A prestigious HBCU where he could get the best education for his field of study. Going into DuBois he was alone, but he came to forge many close relationships with the students there. Some lasted outside of the school the most prominent one being with Johari Turner. When they graduated and Jo secured her job as a reporter, she pulled some strings to help Benjamin get a job as her cameraman when he was struggling for work. Bio: Johari is no stranger to luxury and wealth. With her father being a Financial Manager and her mother a lawyer, Johari and her sister, Camille never has to worry about money. Their biggest concern was staying on their parents good side. While she didn't have many complaints about growing up in wealth, she always had this nagging feeling at the back of her head. This sense of inadequacy about not being able claim any sort of responsibility for her wealth. While her sister had no issue bragging about how much she spent on designer outfits and trips to Paris, Johari had a different outlook. If she was going to take pride in wealth, she wanted it to be wealth she'd earned from her own hard work.

The Turners had very specific plans for their daughters, wanting them both to follow in their footsteps. While Camille managed to become a successful corporate attorney, Johari had a harder taking interest in the same career as her parents. She tried to do it her father's way. Interning at banks in the city, and studying finance. She tried to pursue law as her mother had, shadowing her in the office and studying case files. But neither bought her any sort of fulfillment. No matter how rich it would've made her, she didn't want to spend day after day at a job that didn't give her any sort of joy. There was one thing, and one thing only that peaked her interest, and that was journalism. Even as a child, she found herself engrossed by news media. She never missed the news hour and felt exhilarated when digging deeper into the stories or rumors she heard floating around. She always had a passion for the truth. However, her parents weren't at all happy with her career choice. So much so that when she insisted on studying Journalism rather than business or law, they cut her off and refused to pay for her schooling, thinking it would sway her. But this only pushed her chase her dream harder, if for no other reason, than to prove them wrong.

So she began to work towards her goal. Getting jobs, scholarships and financial aid to pay for school. Her first couple years of college were grueling, but the closer she got to her dream, career, the easier things became. Because of how dedicated she was to getting through school, she didn't have much of a social life. Unless you count cafe's and wine bars. The only true friend she made that stuck with her through her college years came in the unlikely form of Benjamin Zhou. The barista who always joked that he shouldn't be held responsible when she finally overdoses on caffeine. What started off as an annoying encounter she dreaded having , ended being a close bond between the two.

Through her hard work and determination, Johari graduated from DuBois at the top of her class. Shortly after, she landed her first job on the local news as an anchor, and from that point on she only went up. Climbing the ladder until she was one of the top reporters for a national news network. She became a household name after a short time, and is now working on her next big move. Once she figures out what it is. But until then, she's more than content with her career. Her choice to pursue her career no matter what left a rift between her and her family. But that's a problem for another day.

[div class=p]brief bio. Malcom and Katie MacLeod were two notable professors in the Department of Celtic Studies at the University of Edinburgh. They met as students during their PhD program and found that they had led fairly similar lives. They were both born and raised in the Highlands and were some of the few native Gaelic speakers left in Scotland. They were passionate about their field and aimed to dedicate their lives to it. They had each found success after they graduated and they met again once they had started working for the University. They ended up marrying and becoming some of the top researchers in their fields.

Though, the two never really intended to have childrem, Holly came along anyway. Holly was raised bilingually in English and Gaelic (her parents were actively trying to protect the Gaelic language and culture and were disappointed by the slipping number of speakers). She accompanied her parents on their research and other work-related trips in the summers. They treated Holly like another student, teaching her about what they were doing. Though Holly found it interesting for the most part, she did sometimes wish she could be back home with her friends, rather than alone with a bunch of adults. She never said anything because she didn't want her parents to be upset and she did find the trips fascinating, but she definitely felt like she was missing out and was always a bit more distant than the others in her friend group since she would miss so much during the summer.

Holly's parents were as proud as can be once she decided that she would follow in their footsteps. She truly did love their field. She was surrounded by it her whole life, how could she not? Though it was more to please herself than her parents. She continued going on trips with her parents, but she began helping them once she was old enough. She was consulting on films, games, television, etc. before she had even finished her PhD. This gave her a step up in her field that she would not have had otherwise. While her relationship with them was mostly good, there was still some resentment for not being treated as a normal child. Despite intending to continue her work with her parents, she couldn't turn down an offer to develop a Celtic Studies department at NYU. It was an incredible opportunity that allowed her to teach a demographic that was not a part of a Celtic region while also continuing her research. While her classes are small because it is a new, not as well known department, she is excited to begin this new chapter.

  Bagha's full given name roughly translates to "tiger king" and he has the driven and ferocious personality to match. He's a go-getter in every sense of the term, pushing himself toward his achievements while keeping a close eye on details. If a matter doesn't pertain to or obstructs from the goal, it get immediately pushed aside or dealt with accordingly. However, he doesn't exhibit these traits upfront, much of his fire seeming to lie dormant within his quiet and mildly serious exterior.
  
  With having to be self-sufficient and responsible in his growing years, he developed the strong ability to focus, figure, and balance. Or, at least, he used to think so. While balanced in some aspects, he has neglected others, and found that it can be more difficult to give everything in life proper attention. His relationship with his mother had more room to grow after his father's passing, but he always wished he had a better connection with both. So, while valuing the alone time that he had become accustomed to, he now prioritizes the concept of family and close relationships more and tries to figure out how to build upon that. He simply masks his emotions to spare others the burden and to attempt to keep his head clear long enough to deal with affairs practically. However, keeping up this habit has led him to some emotional imbalances, either frequently forgetting to express himself and leaving those around him in the dark when they do need to be privy, or making him unable to hold back extreme emotions, the pot spilling over. There's also a deficit in knowing when to use emotion over logic.
  
  In relationships, Bagha takes the leader role, being somewhat domineering. Yet, he is very affectionate and "careful", being sure to stay open and try to minimize damage when there's conflict. If his parents can build what they had out of an arranged relationship, then he doesn't see why he can't do the same or better in a relationship that he chose...
  
  However, in the face of failure or deep dismay, he's picked up the bad habit of smoking cigarettes to deal with his emotions.

  Biography:
  Rajesh Chaudhury and Chandra Kumari were children of Indian immigrants arranged to marry in San José, California. With well-established careers, time ticking, and persistent nudging from their parents', the two agreed to go forth with the marriage that their families had already begun planning. While the couple was familiar with one another through genial family ties, they would have to work to build a romantic relationship. After four years, it was proven that their efforts to find love weren't in vain as they welcomed their first child and only son, Bagharajesh, into the family.
  
  Bagharajesh would grow to be known simply as "Bagha", and occasionally, "Raj" (but that was typically reserved for his father). His parents led busy lives with their careers, his father working long hours but getting a number of days off, and his mother working standard shifts but getting called in at a moment's notice, making him learn to be independent at an early age. While he managed to cultivate relationships with his parents during their spare time, especially his father, they weren't around as much as he would have liked and he's not as close/connected with them as he thinks he should be.
  
  When he was 12, his father passed away due to a work accident, and although that left only him and his mother, he found himself suddenly taking on more responsibilities at home. This taught him to balance home life and school. High school is where he met the fiery Venezuelan, Alba Acosta, who would unforeseeably become his wife. She was familiar to him as he'd seen her around school, but it wasn't until his junior year that they became officially acquainted. The two hated each other. Neither remembers why their relationship took on that nature, but only that it existed as such. Glares, curses, insults, and slurs were commonplace in their exchange. However, bickering in a Biology class during their senior year resulted in the two to getting paired for their final project. While it surely wasn't smooth sailing at the beginning, like some cheesy made-for-TV movie, as intended, the time spent together brought them closer by the project's end, leading to some interesting developments. About two weeks later, the teenagers established a romantic relationship. When it came time for college, they stayed in touch frequently, but decided to put their relationship on hold while separated, taking on more of an open relationship. However, as soon as Bagha graduated with his Bachelor's degree, he returned to San José to propose to Alba, and with her, began building the real estate empire he sits upon today.
  
  Real estate wasn't the young man's original goal. He had been torn between choosing a career route that could set him up for life and following one of his interests. So, he found himself majoring in Business Management and Wood Engineering - a generic base for almost everything and a relative passion. Once he returned home after graduating, he ended up buying a fixer-upper with his fiancée and noticed that he really enjoyed the project. So, he began looking further into real estate investing and "flipping houses". These investments grew to become his career, the favored end results garnered attention and built status, and later landed him a television contract with a housing channel that would feature him on a show, "Changes with Chaudhury". While Alba wasn't originally on board and continued to work her own job, she later quit to assist her husband once ventures grew and got tacked on as his business partner. However, the labor intensive portion isn't her forte, so she primarily stays behind the scenes doing more "office-oriented" work, visiting properties, and so on; she rarely makes appearances on shows.
  
  Unfortunately, after five years of marriage, Bagha and Alba find themselves separated once again, this time voluntarily. Rapid career success over the past three years and personal complications have caused a rift that they've yet to determine how to handle and what it means for their relationship. At current, they're solely business partners then go their separate ways.
