Ben smiled and nodded as Johnathan yawned, the effect was almost immediate as Ben soon belted out a large yawn himself. He slowly crawled his way under the blankets, it felt heavenly to be under actual covers and soon he was feeling himself drift off. Ben let out an involuntary sigh as Johnathan clicked off the light soon enough, with a small squeak of the bed indicating that he had climbed in bed as well. Ben clutched his side as he drifted off, it didn't do too much to help but he had to try something as lying there doing nothing would drive him crazy. Finally sleep took him.

Gwen had been pacing, watching her feet land heel to toe up and down the length of the roof but a light flicking off caught her attention. "It's showtime." She grinned as she shifted, taking silently to the air and soon hovering in front of her window of choice. 'Sorry Mr. caravan man, you shouldn't have made your wealth so apparent, and those items you were bringing looked so expensive. I'm sure you will make your money back... somewhat.. maybe eventually' She let out a soft giggle as her talon latched on to the window handle and giving a large flap of her wings lifted the window open. Letting it go with a diving motion Gwen flew through the open window as it slowly slid shut behind her, shifting as she landed she couldn't help but pump her fist. 'Like magic.' The grin returned to her face as a sort of giddy pride overtook her, but tilting her head up and her emerald eyes scanning the room her face changed. She had picked the wrong window. It took most of her will not to curse out loud, everything had gone so perfect.. how did I mess up... crap... it was when I went pacing back and forth... I must have messed up my jump. Gwen grimaced as she stood, she was just going to have to make the most of this. She took a better look at the two occupants of the room, one broad shouldered man on the far side of the room, cute but not messing with him. The other, much slimmer male, was the better choice. She also had the thought that he would have made for a fun companion later tonight; he had a nice tuft of brown hair, all messy and disheveled but still attractive, 'I would have liked to tussle that hair some more but alas here we are.' Crouching again she quickly closed the distance to the thinner man's bedside. 'They look like just regular travelers if anything... damn no wealthy traders here..' Pulling out a dagger, she inched her way closer to his neck and once she was set she place a slender hand over his mouth and the sharp blade to his neck. Quietly she whispered, "Sorry handsome, this isn't the bedroom time I would have wanted out of but... I'm going to have to insist you give me your valuables... unless this..." She trails the blade down his defined collarbone, "...is the only valuable thing you have~" Gwen gave him a flirty smile as she finished her little introduction.

Normally Johnathan wasn't the type to fall asleep quickly, but his normal day also didn't usually include dragging unconscious people around. The last thing he remembered was his head hitting the pillow, though the feeling of something cold against his skin pulled him from his sleep. He opened his eyes slowly to see a figure in the dark. A hand was placed over his mouth and at this point he knew that the thing at his neck was a knife. He raised an eyebrow in confusion as he heard the soft sound of a woman's voice. Well for a thief she was quite the smooth talker. The feeling of the cool metal dragging down his neck sent a shudder down his spine. Johnathan chuckled against her hand, looking up at her with a clear smirk on his face. "And what if it is?" He mumbled from beneath her fingers. The raven knew it was best to keep his voice down, unless he wanted to feel the tip of the blade tickling his ventricles, but he couldn't help himself from snaking his tongue out and licking the woman's palm.

Gwen smiled as the male woke up, his eyes glinted with the same mischief that she did, "Oh is that so? Well then you are going to be much more fun than I imagined." She gave a soft giggle but it quickly turned into a mock frown at his futile attempt at getting her to let him go, "Well that's no way to act, silly boy." She only tightened her clasp on his face and whispered in his ear, "That tongue of yours is going to get you into trouble, now where do you keep your money, your friends too if you want to live that is." Sliding the blade up under his jaw she traces it out to the point of his chin, "Now, handsome, or maybe I'll go ask your friend over there the same questions only this time I won't be so interested when he tries to lick my hand." Gwen gave him another smile, although this one had a deadly glint to it.

He gave a light shrug as she scolded him. "Can't blame a guy for- ouch, easy with the face grabbing, doll." He grunted as her grip on his face tightened. He tilted his head up as the blade traced his jaw, though he let out a sigh as if she wasn't threatening to separate his head from his shoulders. "I already told you, love, the most valuable thing I have is what you're sitting on." Johnathan gave a nonchalant shrug as she threatened Ben. "Go for it, I just met the guy." The raven did his best to remain still as Gwen slowly climbed off him and moved over towards Ben. With the knife out of harms way, he leaped from his spot and tackled the girl to the floor with a loud thud. Johnathan hoped that was a loud enough sound to at least alert Ben, if not the others as well. Wasting no time, he quickly mounted the girl, grabbed her wrists and held them firmly against the ground. "Sorry, beautiful, hope you didn't hit your head too hard." A light smirk pulled at his lips, looking down at the incredibly sassy intruder.

Marie's blue eyes shot open at the sound of the thud in the next room over. Pushing herself away from Hunter the female sat up and looked around the room for any danger before pulling herself from the bed and out the door. She didn't waste no time in putting on some more decent clothes, she wanted to make sure that it wasn't someone breaking in. She slammed into the boys room to find Jonathan on top of a girl and Ben still laying in bed. A growl seeped out of her throat as she walked towards Jonathan and the girl, her blue eyes turning it's wolf like. "This better be an intruder and not some random female you brought in Jonathan or I'm not going to be happy you woke me up from my first comfortable sleep."

Ben's eyes opened at the thud, rolling over and groaning, "Johnathan... what the hell man... I'm trying to sleep..."; but at the door slamming open Ben sat up, grunting in pain, "Alright, alright sheesh... I'm up what is the..." His eyes slowly focused as Marie growled and scolded Johnathan, he turned to watch his response to the weird comment about a random girl but it turned out to be not weird at all, there was a stranger here. Staring slack-jawed at the wild turn of events Ben had to fight the urge to shrug and go back to sleep, he was too tired to figure this all out and wouldn't be much help anyways. 'You kids have fun, don't do anything I wouldn't do... yeah that would be pretty funny.' Ben chuckles softly to himself, being his own amusement was never difficult, and smiles at the rest of the rooms occupants baring the new girl pinned to the floor of course. She seemed to be quite pissed and was struggling with moderate success against Johnathan, ehh scratch that she is back against the floor boards again. With all this banging and yelling Ben realizes with a sigh that he won't be able to get any more sleep, 'Well I guess this this will be fun to watch.'

Gwen let out a yelp as she was suddenly tackled to the floor, her knife clattering away under the larger males bed and she tried to make a quick grab and retrieve it, 'You won't get the best of me handsome, I won't go down that easy...' "Ahh!" Her last thought turned audible as Gwen's interrogation interest flipped her over and pinned her to the floor, her wrists by her head. His mild concern took her by surprise though and she paused for a moment and almost went to answer him, she shook her head 'now is not the time for flirting Gwen!' She re-ignites her struggle to get out from under him, she makes some decent progress and manages to lift her left arm a few inches off the ground. Gwen stops though once the door slams open, 'crap', she glances back at the upside down girl who seems all in a huff about Gwen's struggle waking her. "Sorry princess we'll keep it down, you just mosey back into bed now..." She hears the other male shifting in bed, more or less awake, and she lets out a huff of her own. 'How many of these people are there! It wasn't supposed to go this way!' "Don't trouble your pretty little head about it, me and Johnathan here were just having a disagreement. And we'd prefer if it was just the two of us, thanks!" She adds the last bit of inflection to her voice, hoping the princess would just piss off seeing as Johnathan she could handle, now these two as well and she was out of options. Turning back up to Johnathan she gives him a wink and a smile, "Johnathan honey, I thought it was just going to be the two of us, remember?" Her voice dropped sweetly and innocently as she talked to him but more wanting the others to hear, her eyes held none of the charade though. She glared into Johnathan's eyes wanting nothing more than to flip him over and pin him to the floor, see how he liked being at her mercy again now that she wouldn't fall for his tricks. "Don't you love me? You said we could be together after we stole these fools' money?"

Hunter shot up as with his bed mate, not bothering to change his form. HHe followed Marie out and into the neighboring room, eyes darting to the intruder. "I'll get Lila and Lucy up, Then get someone to get the Guards." He stated as he darted out of the door frame and to the girl's room, shifting as he moved. He rapted his knuckles against the door a she opened it, "Get up, we have a situation with an intruder. One of you get the guards and notify the staff please." He ordered his voice even and calm. The situation was under control but he wasn't exactly comfortable leaving Marie alone with an occuied John and bed ridden Ben while her old master was skulking about.

Lucy

Once asleep, Lucy fully enjoyed the comfort of a mattress, something she had foregone to escort Lila to Evergreen. A quiet thump echoed from a room down the hall, soon to be followed by more noise. Cracking her eye open, the shifter began counting to thirty slowly in her head. More noise and she would get up; if things quieted down a full nights rest may yet be achievable. ...24, 25, 26... Convinced that sleep was as good as hers, she closed her eye and let herself drift off. Moments later, doors opened and closed with force, the voices of her companions shouting along with the racket. While she debated leaving the bundle of blankets Hunter began knocking at their door.

Accepting her fate, Lucy cast the warm blanket aside, feeling the chill of the air assault her skin. She sat up from the bed, hair disheveled and sticking out in awkward places. On her way to answer the door, she heard Hunter's muffled voice from the other side. "Get up, we have a situation with an intruder. One of you get the guards and notify the staff please. " She opened the door and glowered, well and truly grumpy. "Sure, I'll go tell the damn guards." she cursed under her breath, exiting the room the stomp down the hallway. Of all things, an intruder. Lucy stalked into the front room, where the desk was unoccupied. Even innkeepers have to sleep. Grumbling, she opened the front door, hoping to see if any city guards were patrolling outside. Luckily, she spotted two armored men walking down the other side of the street. "Hey!" She called loudly, "We've got a break-in here."

Marie's eyes narrowed at the females words and calling her princess. "Excuse me? Princess? I can definitely show you who a fucking princess is if you wish." She growled at the girl that Johnathan had pinned and walked closer to the two. Hearing her flirt towards Johnathan and mention something about the two working together made her chuckle and a smile come to her face. "Okay now I definitely know you two aren't together." She squatted down in front of the girl, taking her chin in her hands as she made the girl look up at her. "Partner wouldnt have partner pinned to the ground. Also, I don't think Johnathan would be.. so rough towards his lover." Her smile turned into a cocky smirk as she dropped the girls chin and her blue eyes looked at Johnathan. She saw the traces of a knife along his jawline and her smirk dropped a bit. She knew the two of them has been clashing since the bird boy joined. It took her a few minutes before she finally asked him, "You good? Hurt anywhere?" She was ready for a snarky remark from him, and she was ready to tell him off if he started.

Lila's eyes shot open at the sudden thud. At first she remained in her bed, somewhat dazed and confused, but the sudden thundering of footsteps from everyone else cause her to jump up herself. Had something happened? The thought was suddenly interrupted by Hunter knocking on the door, shouting about an intruder. Her heart slammed against her ribs as she thought of Ben. She knew she should've thought of the others' well being as well, but Ben was the only one who was still severely injured. She ran out of the room after Lucy, but instead she entered the male's room, hoping her medical intelligence wasn't needed. Her golden eyes scanned the room, glad to see Ben seemingly fine still in his bed. The only thing really out of place was the fact that Johnathan was straddling some strange woman.
Johnathan looked up to see Marie burst through the door. Oh how this must have looked. He chuckled at her comment about the stranger being some kind of lover, but before he got a chance to respond, the woman beneath him started talking. Princess? What a mouth on this one. Johnathan had to do his best to choke down a smile, but it washed away when the woman spoke his name so sweetly. "Excuse me?" He spoke incredulously. Honey? What the hell is she smoking? Johnathan watched Marie crouch down. Dammit, was he going to have to argue that she was lying? Again another baffled look consumed him as he watched her argue on his behalf. Though he did grin when she commented on her doubts of him being so rough. He gave a small wink to the stranger. Marie's cool gaze on Johnathan made the hair on the nape of his neck stand on end. He glanced over at her, an eyebrow raised. "Huh? Oh yeah, no I'm fine." He mumbled, stunned by her seemingly caring response. If I didn't know any better I'd say she had a heart after all.

Ben gave Lila a smile as she entered the room, clearly everyone was up by now and he was just sitting here enjoying the show and it was just getting started. He pointed cheekily at the intertwined bodies to try and show her how amusing this whole situation was, but thinking of a better idea he beckoned Lila over to sit on the bed next to him. They could watch the events unfold together, sitting of to the side as they weren't really needed, it could be like a little date! No..no what a stupid idea people are fighting over there and I just want to laugh at them with Lila, I mean... with my injury and Lila's pacifism they weren't going to do anything anyway. Plus over here we would be out of the way and in a great view to watch, Ben let out a soft chuckle at the girl call Marie a princess. I mean she not entirely off target... but that is a bad game to be playing, I'm not able to keep the peace like this. As Lila approached he watched as a worried expression drain from her face, "Don't worry! We're all fine, I'm fine, everything's fine..." He smiled as she came by the far bedside, "Come on up! I saved you a seat for the show! I give you the mystery girl vs. Marie vs. maybe Johnathan with those looks he's given both of them. Did you bring any popcorn?" Ben gave her a big goofy grin as he couldn't help but laugh at his own jokes, after chuckling for a few moments he quieted down and gave her a shy look. Thinking she might think he was being quite silly in a stressful situation, but it's not his fault! being stuck with something crazy like this going on was terribly amusing.

Gwen heard the some more footsteps and voices and she felt her confidence shrinking and her fear growing, being in the spotlight was not something good for her in any way. She was filled with anger as princess grabbed her by the chin and turned Gwen's head towards her, she had to fight every instinct in her body to not spit in the girl's face. "Is this a normal behavior for her? She seems... unbearable would put it mildly." She let out a giggle and glanced back up at Johnathan, 'Yeah? Not a rough lover handsome? That's fine, I like a little submissive too...' But she got an altogether different response, Gwen couldn't help but return the wink and then drag her eyes over the boy above her. 'I'll have to see how far that wink will get me, if I ever get out of this that is...' Gwen tries to move her arms slowly while the others are talking, if she can slip out now she might be able to shift and escape. But try as she might Johnathan's grip held firm, she let out a soft hmph as she settled to the floor and made it her mission to look innocent and cute. Maybe Johnathan would vouch for her release if it came to that... but she was probably being too hopeful, after all she had just held a knife to his throat. But with her back almost literally to the wall she had no option left but to be silent and hopeful. She decided to give Johnathan a few bashful eye flutters just to be safe.

HUnter returned to the other, watching marie as he heard Lucy return as well, guards in tow. "Ok then. We'll take it from here." One standed cuffing Gwen as the moved Johnathan off of her. "We'll need to bring all of you in for statments." The other informed the group, Hunter nodded and walked over to Ben to help him up. Once the gorilla was on his feet with an arm slung over Hunter's shoulder for support the wolf shot Marie a reassuring glance, "come on. It's easier if we just comply." He stated, knowing some one would complain about it. Either way the group followed the cuffed prisoner and guards. Out of the building. When they had reached the square things went to hell.

An explosion fromt the front gate rocked the earth as some builds shuttered, but held. "Stay here. I'll check it out." Ome of the guard left, join another group heading the same direction. Hunter looked to the others seeing worry in some of their eyes. "Stay calm. You'll all be fine." The remaining guard noted, earning a silent scoff form Hunter. That's what they all said before shit hit the fan. And he had a feeling this was a big pile. If anything the screams and running civilians confirmed as much. Looking towards the gate he saw something mtgat made his heart drop and his stomach leap. The best way to put it was they snake people where attacking. And not in the normal sems eof snake shifters. Well, maybe they were once but not any more. Colors varied from on the the other as well as breed. Some were corral snake other common garden snakes, but the biggest and most shared trait was they they were all human sized snakes with a set arms, and they attack anyone they saw. Men, women, children, animals. They didn't seem to care. Most disgusting was that somme were even swallowing the kills. None of that mattered to Hunter though, he was more transfixez be the armor they wore. The legion armor they wore. "Start evacuating now." Hunter ordered the guard with a glare as he picked ben up and through him over his shoulder, holding one arm next the knee.

Lila smiled at Ben as he beckoned for her to come closer. She carefully slipped around the pile of people on ground and joined Ben on his bed. Her body slid next to his due to the dip in the bed, but she remained still. Ben then swept his arm out, gesturing to the scene in front of them. " I give you the mystery girl vs. Marie vs. maybe Johnathan with those looks he's given both of them." A light giggle escaped the crow as she looked between each person. The woman beneath Johnathan sure had a way of manipulating her face, going from incredibly sassy to suddenly batting her eyes. Lila wondered if she was capable of such a facade. She looked back up Ben with another smile. "You mean popcorn isn't provided? Hmm maybe I should've read the program sheet more closely." She wore a silly smile at her own attempt at a joke. Her face lit up a soft red, thinking the joke might have been too childish.

Johnathan didn't fight the chuckle that rumbled in the back of his throat. "Quite perceptive aren't we?" She certainly had a cute laugh, and winking back?; this girl was exactly Johnathan's type of fun. He felt her wrists shift slightly beneath his hands. Still trying to escape? What? Can't take being bottom any longer? He smirked to himself, but cocked an eyebrow up as her entire demeanor shifted. She looked like a school girl now, batting her eyelashes and giving him such large puppy dog eyes. He let out an abrupt laugh. "Aren't you a bag of tricks?" No response was given though as two men in tin suits entered the room. Did they really have to call the guards? He had everything under control. The guards soon walked over, scooted Johnathan off and cuffed his mystery girl. He gave her a slanted look, almost apologetic. Guess the fun is over. The group seemed to sigh in unison as they were told they'd need to be brought in for questioning. Though maybe this would give Johnathan the chance to free his mystery woman. He wasn't doing it for any sort of attraction reasons though, rather it was out of a mutual respect. They had been sassy to each other, had a fun time, and no one had gotten hurt. It was like a play date, and now it was time for everyone to go home. Everyone exited the room, following the two tin men out. The walk was relatively boring, until the ground rumbled beneath them. "An earthquake?" Johnathan thought aloud, but his idea was quickly disproved as people ran screaming and a number of serpent people began terrorizing the villagers. Shit.

Lila stared in horror as a number of snake people made their way through the town, mercilessly killing everyone and even eating some. "What.. What's going on?" She mumbled, clearly terrified. Her eyes darted anxiously over to Hunter as he ordered the remaining guard to start evacuating everyone. Johnathan took this moment to relieve the officer of his keys, knowing very well he had no intention of uncuffing her. The guard ran off to do whatever it was guards do as Johnathan slipped the keys in his pants pocket. He then turned to the stranger and took a hold of the chain of the cuffs. "Alright, doll, it's time to get out of here." Lila looked to Ben, hoping he would have some kind of answer to what was happening, or at the very least be able to offer her some sort of comfort, but instead she found Hunter carrying the 240 pound ape over his shoulder. What the hell was going on?

Lucy

The guards, though not thrilled to be called upon so late at night, were helpful enough in restraining the girl who'd broken into Ben's room. While she was cuffed Lucy was able to get her first good look at her. Her pale hair and piercing eyes gave her a frigid, sharp appearance. Already Lucy was glaring at the thief, the blame falling on her for her lack of rest. The guards were also given some harsh looks, but before she could fully unload her grievances, chaos broke out among the streets. Mutated snake shifters crept through the town, killing and eating without an acknowledgement of the lives they were taking. As one woman fell to one of the beasts she screamed, calling out for help. Lucy couldn't watch as the creature began eating her body. Nausea overtook her, and she pressed a hand over her mouth to force back the dizziness.

Hunter snapped his order at the guard to evacuate. It went without saying that they also had to leave the city. Lucy shouted in protest as Hunter hoisted Ben over his shoulder. "You're injured too, wise guy!" she snapped, looking at the spot on his torso where his wounds lay. She expected to already see blood from re-opened wounds, but was happily surprised to see that he had avoided worsening his condition. Just as she let her shoulders relax, Johnathan grabbed the chains of the pale-haired woman. "Oh, hell no." She growled. "I'm sure Ms. Break-In can manage on her own just fine." she said, entirely unhappy at the idea of dragging along the same woman who they'd gotten arrested.

Marie didn't pay attention to the rest of what happened until the ground beneath her feet started shaking. A confused look crossed her face until she saw snakes come running in and killing people. The fuck? She growled and shifted into her wolf form, the fur along her back already standing up. Her ears twisted at the sound of Hunter saying they need to leave but ignored it. She faced all the snake people with a snarl, her lip drawn up to show her teeth. She leaped forward as one of the snake people passed her, taking their neck in her jaws and snapped it quickly before moving on to the next. She hasn't killed in a while, being pent up with anger and rage she was taking it out on these attackers.

Ben was immensely surprised and happy when Lila made a joke of her own, and that blush is beyond cute he thought as he let out a laugh. "Maybe the popcorn will be served with the halftime entertainment?" letting out another happy chuckle he glances over at Lila as she watches the others, this is what I had in mind when I thought this would be a little date. He thought to himself, Lila and I sitting together laughing and enjoying each others company, not a care in the world as we watch the others sort out their problems. He was about to muster up the courage to wrap his arm around the crow when all hell broke loose, people screaming, people dying, and there was nothing Ben could do... this all seems too familiar, he told himself as memories came flowing back. He buried them quickly though as he couldn't get emotional now with everyone needing to play their part, he slowly retracted his arm and hoped Lila didn't notice the slow attempt at closeness. I'll have to work on that later he grumbled in his head as he watched everybody scramble around, yelling orders, making preparations, or just plain gathering their nerves together. Although that last one was probably just him, he looked over to Lila for some support or answers or ideas or... anything really. But he found that she was doing the same; it would have been a sweet moment, both of them looking at each other for support and then both offering it to the other person. At least that's what would have happened if things didn't get even more hectic, Lucy arguing with Johnathan about mystery girl, Marie shifting and running off to fight, and Hunter running over and picking him up. That last one really caught him off guard as he was pulled up off the bed and slowly lifted over his shoulder, all the while trying to calmly tell him, "Dude...put me down... this isn't where you are needed... I can walk fine just go." He grumbled on Hunter's shoulder, his legs nearly on the floor again with the way Hunter was trying to carry him and he tried to delicately slide off his back to stand on his own. Something he was perfectly capable of doing on his own, "Go help out Marie man, she needs you out there more than I need you in here. And plus I have Lila to help. We got this Man go!"

Gwen smiled as Johnathan stared back at her, and he smile only grew as he teased her about her fickle demeanor. "A girl's gotta have some secrets now doesn't she? Maybe you'll need to stick around me if you want to see them all. And I have plenty in mind for you." She gave him another wink just as the guards came in, nononono, she starts struggling again frantically as the slap the cuffs on her and push Johnathan to the side. She catches a slightly sad and disappointed look as they are separated, but she didn't think it was sympathy just that she was someone he wanted to play more with and wasn't getting his way. She couldn't help but look around the guards at the him, wondering what Johnathan having his way would entail. She was abruptly ripped from her fantasy, he had just taken off his shirt too!, as the guards locked the second cuff in place and now, she thought with a sigh, I am well and truly screwed. Unless I can find a way to escape... and as if the heavens heard her prayer as her vision shook with an explosion. She didn't waste a second and tried to escape the guards grip, he held firm to the chain on her cuffs and all she managed to do was swing her position to have her back facing Johnathan. So even if she got out Gwen would just run into Johnathan again, not bad by any means but definitely not a way out. She soon gave up her struggle and let her arms go slack, that was when she heard the screaming... Gwen felt her skin crawl and she turned he head up to the ceiling, I take it back! I don't wanna get out! It was just a joke I'll stay right here just stop whatever is hurting those people and... She felt her arms hit her waist but she didn't care, the guard had let her go to go help outside apparently. Gwen was as free as she had been since coming in this room and yet she didn't move. She just stood there and sunk into herself, those screams terrified her... she couldn't move, could hardly breath...She turned back over to Johnathan and saw his face was just confused. She grabbed his shoulder with her cuffed hands and shook it, "we need to go... now... please, just cut and run with me I... I think I know what those are..." She tilted her head down slightly and then looked up at Johnathan, she knew it would make her eyes bigger and more innocent and shy looking. Even in this crazy situation, with what she thought was happening outside... she still held on to her 'Bag of tricks', She just hoped desperately that it worked. "Please Johnathan..." her voice back soft but still desperate and pleading, "Please... we need to leave!" She turned her head slightly as the second girl basically told her to piss off, Gwen bit her lip not wanting to fight back as she knew it would get her nowhere and they really didn't have any time. She fully turns towards the new girl, princess had shifted and run off ahead, she had a much cuter pissed look than princess did. Much more sass and a lot less entitlement, she looked quite cute now than Gwen looked more closely at her. She would like to see that face all shy instead of pissed but this...shut up, stop it it's not the time! She shook the thoughts from her head refocusing her eyes on the girl in front of her and pleaded, "Please we all need to go... turn me over later if you want but we all have to leave!" She reached her shackled hands out towards the girl, wanting to plead with her more but feared the girl would be taken aback by her. "Please" she repeated desperatly.

Hunter look at Ben before sogh and muttering to himself, "don't do anything stupid." He ordered ben before glancing at lila and Lucy, "keep them safe." He added in a much aofter voice befpre turning to gwen as she mention knowing what the snake soldiers were. "You don't. Trust me. You wouldn't want too." He commented before sprinting after Marie, sacking a snake that had reared up behind her as she was busy with another. With a quick snap he got off the newly made corpse to defend hinself from another. Holding the serpent's mouth back by the fangs. "First, breath mints." He remarked with a small sneer, "second," he pushed the snake back before jerking down, ripping the fangs from their gums, leaving the abomination hissing and writheing in pain before one of it's own fangs was embedded into its skull. "You're gonna need a dentist." Hunter finished his little jome before turning back to fight with Marie. "What ever you're planning i hope you get it done quick. This isn't a fight we'll win through attrition" He explained as he used the remaining fangs to kill another serpent.

Lucy

"Please we all need to go... turn me over later if you want but we all have to leave!" The girl begged, reaching out to her. Lucy stepped back from the girl, glowering. Shrieks and wails shredded the air, sending lightning through her nerves. The hair on her neck and arms stood up, chilled by the sounds of suffering. She turned her eyes back to the street outside. Hunter and Marie fought off the creatures closest to them, goring them fatally. It was wrong to leave the girl chained up and alone, but it was risky to keep her with them. Lucy drew her dagger, pointing it at the girl. "Pull any funny business and you're on your own." She snapped, then moved to speak to the group. "Hunter and Marie have cleared out the road right outside." she barked. "Let's go."

Johnathan looked up at Lucy, almost glaring incredulously. "What? You gonna leave her here to get murdered? I don't know about you, but knowing I let someone die doesn't sit well with me. How about you?" He took a deep breath, letting it out as a sigh. He needed to stay calm. He had just formed a semi-decent relationship with these people and he didn't need to throw it away because of some bandit. He supposed he was only pushing so much because she was sort of similar to him. Not too long ago most of them were ready to shove him out of their way. He looked back up to Lucy, ready to follow her lead. "Alright, then lets get the fuck outta here." He kept a hold of the stranger's chain, getting ready to pull her along with them.
Lila gave a small nod in agreement with Ben. She would help him, but a fear gnawed at the back of her skull. What if she wasn't strong enough or they couldn't keep up? She couldn't let Ben die, and she certainly didn't want to find herself staring down the esophagus of one these horrid creatures. Their heads were almost human like, but their eyes were hollow: lifeless. The way their jaws unhinged to swallow their "prey" was unnatural, like looking at a decaying corpse or someone who's face had met the barrel of a shot gun. A little too familiar for her liking. Lila quickly clung to Ben's side, half to support him and half out of fear. "I've got you." She mumbled, though honestly it felt like she should've been hearing that. After all, it's what she had heard the last time something like this had happen. Her golden eyes followed Hunter as he joined the fight, though she couldn't watch for long. She didn't have to luckily, as Lucy called for them to start moving out. Her golden eyes slowly trailed up to meet his. Her expression was back to its usual monotone state, but her eyes still clearly demonstrated her true feelings.

Marie didn't pay attention to Hunter coming up to her and speaking to her. She snarled at the mob of snake people in front of her. Her ears were pinned back against her head as she leaped at one that came towards her. She took it's head in her jaws and swung down to the ground, dragging the snake with her. She pinned the one down between her paws before crushing the skull in and tore the head off. The blood from the snake gushed from the top of it's body and stained her white coat crimson before she moved on to the rest of the mob. Before long she trail of mangled bodies behind her and she lost sight of Hunter. Not like he was on her mind at the moment. She was getting all the pent up rage out of her that she realized she was tpo far in.

She leaped on the back of a snake, tearing into it's body from the back of the neck and dropped with it. She was about to leap at another one before something metal came up and around her neck. She was pulled back hard, the crimson stained wolf flailing and choking as the chain pulled her all the way back and flipped her on her back until her blue eyes met the green eyes of her old master. A snarl escaped out of her lips as she lunged up at the male but something stabbed into her shoulder. Her snarls started to turn to gurgles as her eyesight went blurry then to nothing. She was out. She couldn't see the sinister smile cross his face as he picked up the blood drenched wolf and made off in the opposite direction of the others.
(I'll pick back up in the next post with this)

Hunter tried to keep up with marie but the snake horde kept him busy, by swarming him. He ripped one's jaw off and uses the bone to smack anouther, grabbing the jawless beast's tail as he clutches its mouth, he used it as an impromptu flail, spinning as he helf on. He felt sorry for the men and woment that these sserpents had been once, but they were beyond help. Broken and driven to madness by the pain of their transformations. A pain he knew all too well. But the battle wasn't on memory lane, so he wouldn't walk it roght now. Right now he would fight. He would killl. He would slaughter. He would be what the legion wanted him to be. And they would fear him.

Lucy

"What? You gonna leave her here to get murdered? I don't know about you, but knowing I let someone die doesn't sit well with me. How about you?" One thing to get Lucy's blood boiling is to insult her character. She took pride in who she was, and would especially not let some guy they'd just met sneak in a comment like that. Spinning around to face him on one heel, she jabbed her finger into his face. "You," she started, "Should keep your nose in your business. I'm hired to protect Lila, and bringing a filthy thief alongside us is the least safe option there is right now." She said. Leaving the woman to die wasn't her intention, but neither was having one more person to keep an eye on.

Getting the okay from everybody to start running, she looked down both sides of the road. Hunter and Marie had already disposed of several snakes, but there were still enough left that they would need to stay on their toes. She took off down the street, staying close to the buildings on one side. Hunter, having just taken out another beast, was in the road nearby. She whistled to him to get his attention. Even if he didn't follow, which she hoped he would, she at least wanted him to see which way they were going. Without Hunter, it fell on her to fend off any trouble they might run into.

Gwen felt downtrodden, she wouldn't be able to change the way these people felt about her and how could she? She was just a low-life, a thief and a scoundrel, not worth any of their time or consideration but... it still hurt nonetheless. She lowered her head as the cute girl was, Gwen would say disgusted by her advance but she was feeling pretty low about herself right now. She nodded slowly and hoped that indicated her compliance to what the cute girl said, although she still flinched as she yelled at her. Glancing up slightly as Johnathan spoke, h-he wasn't going to leave her behind? She felt grateful but still anxious about what would happen if he pushed them too far, and cute girl's next statement confirmed it. She gently touched his arm to get his attention as he held her shackles, "Johnathan, it's very sweet of you but you shouldn't jeopardize your relationship with them... f-for me..." She was drawn to the chaos as another yell pierced the air and it caused a shudder in her, weighing her options as she ran didn't help her fear either. She wasn't much of a fighter, more of a strike from the shadows type with as much advantage to her side as she could muster. No point in making her fight fair right? But now she was cuffed, out in the open, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. Thus she shrunk in herself, keeping close by Johnathan, the only one who seemed interested with her staying alive. Gwen kept quiet and as they ran, through streets and past alleys with corpses and fighting and...sometimes a feeding of one of the disgusting snake people.

Ben tried to keep his attention on Lila, she would be invaluable to protect with all his strength, not just for his own personal affections. She would be the only one who could help if one of them was wounded again, he felt he was on the latter half of his healing and knew he had to keep her safe. It was more adrenaline and fear that kept him upright and under his own power to walk, he still relied on Lila for support. But his thoughts kept shifting from external threats to internal ones, his mind was becoming chaotic, full of fear and doubt. He could see the fear in Lila's eyes too, something was upsetting her just as much as him and he could do nothing to help. The thought killed him, that he could barely keep himself together when there was someone more important needing him as he stood there like a stump. Ben held Lila close as they started moving, he brought out his hammer to use as a walking stick but knew he would need to use it in other ways soon too. He just hoped he could swing with enough force to make a difference, but that is not now, his mind drew him back to Lila. He nodded as she spoke but the softness and fear of her voice tore at his insides, "I've got you too Lila, always." He gave her a squeeze as they kept up their odd locomotion, Ben having to use Lila and his war-hammer to save his energy as they moved through the street. He gave Lila another squeeze as he continued talking; he figured he was probably rambling at this point but he figured a near constant stream of reassurances, even repetitive ones would be better than silence. "It's going to be alright Lila, just focus on me, one foot at a time, I've got you I promise, I'll keep you safe no matter what, I'm right here, It's going to be okay, you are being so brave, you mean so much to me..." The last one probably had a different tone but Ben had been rambling for far too long at this point to make much coherent decisions on his word choice. He just hoped he was helping even if just for a little bit.

Hunter looked back to the group as they made their way out of town, he wanted to got after marie but the others were in trouble too. "Damn it." He muttered taking up rear poitn of the group, killing any snakes that slithered too close. He also kept an eye on the front group where lucy took point. She wasn't ready for this. She had just started to get the hang of hand to hand, but this was a line of work that didn't care who got hurt. And she was learn that quickly today. Thankfully everyone was smart enough to avoid an unnecessary fight, and stuck to alleyways and clear paths. Finally they had reached the gates, and they had none of twhat they came in with. "We'll have to come back see what we can recover once the situation is... better." He stated walking up to lucy and smiling down at her, "you did good out there, I'm proud." He placed an hand on her shoulder. But he was inwardly blaming himself for this mess. He was the one who convinced her to be a mercenary instead of a normal job. She was in danger because of him. Now wasn't the time for this. They had a missing person. "Marie got captured by her slaver..." he announced to everyone before walking up to Gwen and grabbing the chain between her cuff and snapping them apart. She had free motion of her hands now but is would be hard to grab the chains again. "And you're going to help us find her. Once thats done I'll use that key johnathan snagged to get you out." He looked at said male with a a stare that was both knowing and begging the bird to defy him. He was far from stupid and mych more observant than people realized. And right he wasn't in the mood to play games.

Lila glanced back up at the gorilla. Her heart might have skipped a beat hearing him say that he had her as well, but her heart was already slamming against her chest from mixture of fear and panic. She kept her arm tightly around him as they ran. Although it was very sweet of him, she felt rather foolish for having to be the one who needed constant reassurance. "I'm alright, Ben." She held his gaze for a moment trying to look as stable as possible. It was a difficult task with all the screaming and inhuman shrieks, but she managed to pull it off. The entire group stopped as Hunter came running up. He first began with praise for Lucy and while it was sweet, Lila couldn't help but feel that such celebrations should be withheld until they had successfully exited the town. The crow glanced around the immediate area. Where was Marie? Before she was able to properly voice her concern it was answered, although the answer wasn't one anyone had hoped for. Hunter's next action left Lila with mixed feelings. She didn't have any problem with him separating the girl's shackles, but it was his accusations towards Johnathan that left a bitter taste in her mouth. Yes, he had the keys, but she assumed everyone had noticed him grab them. It didn't feel like his intentions were deceptive ones, but that was only her thoughts.
Johnathan glanced at the light feeling of someone touch his arm. It was genuinely surprising to see the woman who had once been threatening him with a knife look so terrified and almost solemn. "I just met them earlier today, but even if they were life long friends of mine, I'm not going to leave someone to get killed." He stated firmly. Johnathan's dark eyes slowly traveled over to the blood soaked wolf man who was now rejoining them. "Slaver?" The raven echoed, clearly unaware of who this was, but he didn't get an answer. Instead he watched as Hunter snapped the chains that held the girl and then further accuse Johnathan of being some kind of traitor. "Good going, numb nuts. Do you ever think or is that space in your head up for rent?" Johnathan seethed. "You're lucky this chick here is at least half a decent person because any real criminal would've booked it the second you did that. Unless her beast is a sloth, she could've shifted an ran off, leaving us all here. Then finding Marie would still be our problem with one less person." Johnathan pulled the keys from his pockets and tossed them at the wolf. "Have them. I only figured keeping her chained would be beneficial if we were to get caught as well. It would be unlikely that they'd recuff her so we could've used her as an escape if necessary, but fuck it right?" This wolf was trying his patience and no amount of sanity would keep him from eating this guy's eyes straight from his skull if he were to die.
