"are you sure we're needed?" Kevin asked frank "what do you mean?" Frank asked "these U.C.A guys have army guys, superheroes, and scary hockey mask guys, and loads more! What are we supposed to do?" Kevin asked "defeat konahrik duh!" Frank said.

"Oh! and, one more thing!" Fugai had suddenly appeared behind the lot waiting in the elevator "You may need to take this." Reaching inside his robes, he pulls out what looks like a mason jar, it's filled with a strange purple energy, handing it over to Kaz. He turns to the Spartans. "This is what we call a Genesis Jar. It used to be used as a means of transportation, as inside lies energy from the the Genesis itself. We stored two more in the SSP. Remember, you may encounter enemies that are rather powerful, so smash 'em when you feel you're backed into a corner. Just be careful. They give you an immense power boost for one minute, but you may become so power crazy you'll forget who your target is...SO, anyway, good luck!

Konahrik sat in his throne, as usual, hearing Goret and Fleetway argue back and forth, but with O'chunks it's far more bearable with his remarks. However, the portal below let out a sound, someone was coming over trough the portal. Goret and Fleetway stop, they turn over. A lone man, with long rockstar hair had walked through. It was Raditz, having decided with Bardock to simply walk through the portal long before the others got there. Goret's face began to form a sinister smile. He recognized him, oh yes indeed.

Not to far from the farm, something had seemed to implant itself into the world.

Marco's eyes slowly creeped open as she was assaulted by a flashing light and a vicious rumbling from her U.C.A. watch.

"....Ah?"

That was a red light, the one she couldn't ignore.......what a pain.

Marco rose from the poolside lounge chair like a zombie crawling out of the grave, her half-finished croquette dropping bits of crunchy goodness all over the front of her blue jacket. Her eyes glazed over to the table at her side—an impressive stack of empty wrappers was littered on the top. She must have fallen into a food coma after all those snacks...

Marco strained upwards, struggling against her urge to lie back down and close her eyes again. She stretched her arm out wide and let out one of the longest yawns of her career.

"Fwaaaaaaaa.........Aaaaahhhh ah ah ah ah...."

When she and Arco had crash-landed here in their ship, the U.C.A. had been kind enough to lend a roof over their heads, resort-style facilities, parts to repair the ship, and free (FREE!!!) food.

All of that in exchange for wearing a watch and doing a few odd-jobs? The whole deal was too good to pass up. Once they were able to repair the ship, they'd be off this rock and one step closer towards finding the treasure: Marco's personal treasure...

"Uuuuaaaaggggghhh....."

Marco blinked rapidly before leaning in and scrutinising the words on her watch.

Historically, the agency had tasked her with unearthing lost relics, cracking security systems, or even just finding someone's missing keys...

But this...

Wait, they're calling us? On a code red, too? So they're that desperate, huh...

She immediately sat up in her seat, her back stiffening in surprise.

"Crap, I'm really late...!"

Marco had no idea what the penalty was for being unresponsive during a time of crisis, but she didn't want to play with fire any further here.

"Aaaghh...Ally...Allyyyyyyyy! We've gotta go! Allyyyyyyyy!"

"Ugh, so full..."
she groaned.

Marco turned to her right to find her friend and companion, Arco, slumped face-first in the lounge chair next to her.

"ZzZZzZZZzzzZZZZ..."

"Oi, Ally, we've got a problem here," Marco said, shaking the other girl's shoulder in the process.

"Mggmgmgmgmg..."

"Heeyyyy..."

"Croquette...whole...island of croquettes..."

"Owww-ow-ow-ow!"

Arco's head shot up, her eyes asking Marco "what was that for?".

"Ally, the big guys are probably mad at us. It's a red one this time, and we overslept..." Marco said, her eyebrows furrowing.

"...Do we have to go this time?"

Marco sighed. "Yeah, we do...come on."

"Oink."

"Oh, Emergency Rations. Almost forgot about you."

Emergency Rations hopped off the table as soon as the two girls stood up from their chairs.

"Excuse me," Marco said bluntly as she entered the conference room.

"We're here, we're here, we're here!" Arco cheered, trying to psych both of them up (despite how unenthusiastic they really were about this mission).

"What's the situation?" Marco asked with her hands in her pockets.

She didn't really know who was supposed to be doing the briefing here—one of the admins, or one of those guys in the official-looking armour? Looked like some of the others were here, too...this really was going to be an "all-hands-on-deck" kind of operation, huh?

"OH GOOD!" Cugai said "Just in time! I'll let the others fill you in..."

Pepperjack folded his arms. "Bunch of sadsacks wanna plunge the Multiverse into the Black Void, some jerk named Konahrik, he's got an army of evil guys, get ready to kick some tail."

Fugai lifts up a finger to speak, only to lower it when he realizes that's pretty much the gist of it.

"Anyway, at least you made it, you two." Cugai walks to the side. "Just be careful out there. We dunno what kind of guys we're facing...with the Dark Multiverse and all......"

The sorcerer furrowed his brow at Frank’s question, though he ignored the insult; he was used to the burns coming out of Stroheim’s beak. “My name is Kaz and this is my familiar Stroheim. We’ve been at the UCA for a while now, I believe.” He was brief in his introduction, considering there were way more urgent things to do.

Scatterbrain Scatterbrain
The half-elf’s eye twitched as he noticed the sudden presence of Jesse in the room. ‘... Huh…? How did…?’ Out of habit, Kaz activated his magic detection, looking to see if there was any trace of teleportation magic. And as he suspected, there was none. This isn’t the first time Kazwellor has seen Jesse and the masked man’s aura of mystery intrigued him. ‘Maybe if I quickly go to the Arch- wait, no.’ He shook the thought out of his head, cursing his curiosity; now wasn’t the time.

UltraWagonWheel24 UltraWagonWheel24
Kaz nodded as he took the vial. To his knowledge, the Genesis Jar drastically increased the user’s natural abilities and, considering most of this group seemed to rely on technology, it was to be expected that he’d be the ‘lucky’ one to have it. “Well, let’s hope we won’t have to use it. Thank you, sir.”

“Um, before we continue.”
, the mage interjected, shyly raising his hand to get everyone's attention. “As I mentioned earlier, I could send Stroheim as a scout before we all go to our destination to get an idea of what awaits us. That’ll enable us to strategize a bit better. Because I, well, have a feeling that this is going to be a lot ha-”

“Some already vent in ze portal.”, Stroheim interrupted in a giddy tone.

“... sigh”

"Ohhh hoho! How sad, Looks like I'm safe, zis time!"

"Nice try, but no. I'll just... do my thing." Snapping his fingers, the half-elf used his previously-promised Invisibility spell on Stroheim, the raven seemingly fading away in the blink of an eye. "Stroheim will go on ahead to see what we'll be facing.", he informed the others. "I'll be looking through his eyes during that time so I might need some help moving because I'll be... uh, blind, for a moment."

The now-invisible magical bird let out a sigh and flew off of Kaz's shoulder, going into the portal. Might as well do his job and get a good visual. If he was lucky, their enemies wouldn't see past the Invisibility spell. 'Oh, who ze hell am I kidding? Ve're not fighting a bunch of veak goblins, of course zey'll notice me...'

However the hell Fugai managed to teleport behind the fireteam, not even the motion sensor could keep up with the sudden translocation. The team exchanged various looks at one another, then moreso to Hailey and Ellie. Even Jack seemed reluctant to take (if permitted) one of the Genesis jars as he awkwardly cleared his throat with a nod. "Roger that. We'll use it sparingly." Truth be told, he had no idea what in the hell they could possibly be facing that required some sort of narcotics-infused jar with the capacity to turn someone into a goddamn Gamma. He looked to Felix, who silently gestured openly with both his arms out, shaking his head as he tapped twice at the M41 Anti-Armor Rocket Launcher onto his back, alongside his Grenade Rifle. Yet another person materialized back in the control room, prompting them both to glance over in the direction of the new arrival.

Hailey meanwhile tapped Ellie on the rightmost pauldron, grabbing her attention as the Spartan thumbed toward the jar, pointed at her, and shook her head as she brought up her right hand to extend her index and middle finger- tapping at the right side of her helmet. Their helmets once again popped as their external speakers deactivated.

"Hey, El. Holding up alright?"

"I guess. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't in shock. One moment we're prepping to engage a jump to Reach, and the next- well, we're here. Not a single UNSC element in sight. I just hope Jack knows what he's doing."

"He wouldn't have formed this team if he didn't. Wouldn't have even graduated Alpha. We're going to be fine. As for whatever that Genesis jar is, I don't want you using that. Don't know what effects it'll have on the mutagen, or your Smoothers. Copy?"

"Solid."

Hailey brought up her right index and middle finger again; crossing them and pointing downward as they re-enabled their external speakers.

Wait...they want us to fight? He said 'army', so...wait, a whole army?!

Marco waved her arms in front of her face dismissively.

"Eh-hehehe...I think you might have dialed the wrong agents by mistake, ah-hahahaha..."

A drop of sweat slowly fell down from her forehead as her suggestion was met with cold, cold silence.

"Marco, over there! Isn't everyone waiting?" Arco asked, tugging on Marco's sleeve.

Seeing that most of her comrades had already loaded into the elevator had confirmed the thing she sincerely hoped wasn't happening.

...They're serious, huh?

Hopefully, assigning them to a combat mission was just some kind of oversight on the administrators' part, and then they could go right back to their blissful days of ignorance...

Of course, the answer she was about to hear wasn't going to be the one she was looking for.

O'Chunks followed the wandering eyes of Goret and Fleetway to find two lone figures beyond the wall of monsters...just, standing there. Menacingly.

"Oi, I'm gettin' a bad readin' off those two...it's really tweakin' me beard," he said, scratching his bald head. Upon further inspection of his allies, he saw that Goret was looking rather cocky.

O'Chunks squinted his eyes as he tried to guage their enemies' "battle aura". "Somethin' 'bout yer face makes me think y'know these two. Well? How tough're they?" he asked.

"Good luck, Stroheim..." Cugai saluted in the air, not knowing that he's gone already.

From wherever Stroheim finds a scouting spot, he can see the land of dying plants and misplaced mountains. Bardock, and Raditz, had walked into the portal, and stood before the enemy. O'chunks, Goret (an evil Goku) and Fleetway (an evil Sonic) were visible. Behind them lie the alien Furiza, Dark Jak, and of course Konahrik. The many monsters that stand before them growling.

One thing to note, is the strange bonfire that was rather far from the battlefield. To make things stranger, hiding in the trees near the farm's field, an armored figure could be seen, a black cloak draped across his person.

Goret couldn't help it, his smile growing. "That's Raditz. Next to him is his pops, Bardock. They're related to "Goku" or the good version of me. They're pretty strong, actually, some of the best you can get. That, however, gets me riled up. You'll see. We're going to have some fun. In fact, I'm going down there, right now. You can come along if you wish, O'chunks."

"Hold on!" Fleetway shouted. "Konahrik said we had to wait for the others!"

"Forget him." Goret said "I'm not here to listen to what that orc tells me what I can't do. I'm bored, and want to kill something."

".......HE'S AN ORC?!?!" Fleetway shouted, confused.

"What! I can't hear you over the sound of me being ignorant!" Goret yelled from afar.

Raditz stood, looking at the many monsters standing in between them and Konahrik. They didn't seem like much to him, in fact he'd figure him and his father would've eaten them all. That was, until he looks to see that Goret has begun flying, aware he's not alone.

"You...." Raditz said, under his breath.

Furiza just facepalmed "okay but when you get your ass kicked again don't come crying to me!" Furiza said "I swear he's like an idiotic zork." Furiza said.

Goret lands in front of the two, glaring at Bardock. "Of course, I'd figure you'd understand that I'm very different from your Kakarot." He looks over to Raditz, gazing daggers into his eyes "I remember you. It was almost like yesterday."

"You're supposed to be dead. Along with your world." Raditz said, not fazed. "Me and Kakarot saw to that."

"Well, unfortunately for you, I somehow managed to stay alive thanks to the fact that my universe wasn't completely destroyed. The fragment Konahrik found me in simply floated off, just before it fell into the Black Void he pulled me out and revived me."

"Black Void?" Raditz seemed confused.

"That's the spirit, Arco!" Fugai said.

Marco let out a single sigh of defeat, her shoulders drooping through the movement.

"Let's find some delicious meat in the new world!" Arco cheered as she stepped ahead.

"Oink!" agreed Emergency Rations.

"Okay, okay..."

Marco forced a smile as she began walking to the elevator.

"The first thing to do on a new planet is eat new food..." Marco muttered.

"Oh, by the way One, we traced back to where you made your wormhole, and we found your ship. I hope you don't mind that we fix it up for ya, on the account that you're helping us and all."

Marco couldn't hide her exasperation after Fugai's casual remark. If he made it sound like fixing these guys' ship would be an easy job, then why was their ship not fixed by now...? Unfair...

Marco and Arco stopped in the middle of the clump of agents—some of them were familiar, and others were completely new. Right now, they were sandwiched between a group of people in full suits of armour and someone who knew actual magic.

"Hey, Kazzy, do you know what's going on behind that hole?" Marco asked the young half-elf, pointing at the portal ahead of the group. If anyone had a good grasp on the situation, it probably would have been wise to consult a bookworm like him.

Arco accidentally bumped into the hard metal shoulder pauldron of "Two" on the way in, causing her to grab her own shoulder in a painful recoil.

"Gu-wah!" she yelped.

The long-haired girl wasn't exactly sure what these beings could do or how serious they were, so she did the sensible thing: try to laugh it off and sloooooowly move her eyes away from the visor she had just been staring at.

While the others were casually staring each other down, the eco fueled demon eyed the portal for anything else interesting that caught his eye.

This should be fun.

He smelled something burning from a fair distance away.

"Interesting. I better check it out." Dark said with a smirk and crushed another dark eco crystal moving toward the burning pile.

The fire sat not to far from the battle field. It's warm glow was both dark, yet reassuring. It felt almost like a link to something, the burning, coiled sword glowing with an enticing flame.
