Been texting with Jai-me Jai-me about the game, and he's rather confused about the system and didn't know what to do. He's since showed an interest in having a comms specialist, so I'll be working with him on his character tomorrow some.

Another one of my gaming group says he has a profile in the works and should have it completed this weekend.

Sweet. Let them both know if they have any questions about the game I am willing to lend an ear and help out.
Sherwood Sherwood Likewise! We can talk shop in here or start up a conversation or whatever's best for them!

What games do you share? Knowing that would be a good foundation to start having them learn Palladium from.

We have played Champions together for a long time, and if I recall correctly, we have done a Robotech game a long time ago.

I'm getting ready to clock in at work in a few minutes, but I'll be on later at my lunch break and when things get slower later in the evening

Thanks. I've had worse jobs than this one, so I don't complain.

Do you know what you get when you cross poison ivy with a four leaf clover?

A rash of good luck!
Psychie Psychie That was so good! =)

My lady, Kaerri, found this one!

And like another poster on that thread said, I thought the pirate's favorite letter was R ("Arrrr!")! =)

Sherwood Sherwood Just a touch of feedback for you here. I swear Commander O'day and his desire for order reminds me of this U.S. Marine colonel from Full Metal Jacket (except O'day doesn't seem disconnected like this colonel appears to be).

Not safe for work due to the burial in the background of the scene.
"Full Metal Jacket Born to Kill/Peace Button Duality of Man"

I like that the colonel in Stanley Kubrick's movie here sticks to his guns and he tries to pull Joker (the marine he is speaking to) onto his side after he answers the colonel's question. I also like the Commander O'day character in our game here thus far; he acts like the marine he is described to be. =)

Thank you. I try to make my npcs to be real, relatable people. They start to get a life of their own after a while, and there are times I feel that I want them to do one thing but they are telling me that they need to do something different. It can be frustrating some days!

It's like that for me except I have yet to experience the frustration you mention. That's odd.

I just let them be themselves. Freely. I sit back and let them drive to the tune of their own behavior and so forth. For me, stepping in is interfering. "Actors inhabit," Sir Ian McKellan has been known to say.

"Who am I to get in their way? I'm glad they're talking to me at all," say I. =)

This is a sign that I need professional help.
Sorry, Psychie. Hitomi's in the other game. *sigh* What next then? Ah! Of course! Another pun!

This one is great!

Interesting perspective on that, Dann.
