Pyrrah holds up her hand in a warding gesture, saying quickly, "Hold fire! Do not engage unless they attack us first! The Bioroids just saw us help take down the enemy; lets hope they will be willing to talk." She slowly steps forward, and says in Zentraedi, "I am Battle Leader Pyrrah of the United Earth Expeditionary Force. Are there more Invid on the ship? We are here to help in any way we can."
 
One of the two Bioroids stays ducked down behind the improvised blast shield, looking out just enough to keep its blaster leveled down the hallway at the group. The second Bioroid slowly lowers its own weapon and stands up straight, taking a few steps forward to stand a short distance away from Pyrrah. The pilot replies in Zentraedi, "You speak Zentraedi, and you fight Invid? And are here to help us? I have many questions for you, but now is not the time. There is another hull breech that the Invid have used to try and get to the engine core. There are a few crew members that are putting up a valiant fight, but the sooner we get there, the better it will be. Come. We will show you the way."
 
Pyrrah lowers her arm and grasps the AP Cannon in both hands. Looking over her shoulder, she says to the team in English, "Keep frosty and alert. For those that don't speak Zentraedi, there are more Invid in here, and we may still end up in a shooting engagement with the Bioroid defenders if we are not careful. Don't drop your guard, but move out with these two and get ready for another scrap."

Looking up at the Bioroid in front of her, she switches back to speaking Zentraedi, saying, "I will have many questions of my own, along with answers for you once this ship is safe. Lead on, and we will end the Invid threat here."
 
Onni landed on the other side of the large passageway, checking the angles and scanning about for more targets. Seeing that there were no longer any enemies, he took up a position covering the teams rear as Pyrrah spoke with the Bioroids.

Upon hearing C'osmos compliments and enthusiasm. The Garudan laughed a chittering laugh. "Ah C'osmo, its just a testament to my training and this amazing technology, although I think my missle targeting systems need tweaked some when we get back."

He heard Pyrrah's command and took up his position behind C'osmo. "Acknowledged Lieutenant"
 
Now that another fight doesn't seem likely to break out, the crouching bioroid behind the wall rises, and you can see that it has taken quite a pounding from the Invid before your group arrived. You get the feeling that they don't completely trust you, but right now the lives of probably a few thousand refuges are in danger and they don't have any room to look at any aid with an upturned nose.

Racing through the corridors you can see that the ship is packed with casualties. It is clear that the Normandy is totally incapable of dealing with a humanitarian disaster of this scale and that the rest of the Fleet will have to step up or a lot of these people will die from starvation if nothing else.

Skidding to as stop in front of a sealed door, one of the two bioroids tries to open the door but is not successful. Swearing in his own language, the pilot says, "I cannot override this lock here. We must either blow the door or find a way around."

It may be possible to hack the lock, but it will have to be done quickly. What do you do?
 
Pyrrah looks at the door and dor a some quick calculations. "We don't dare use our missiles to blast the door; the risk to the ship is too great. Onni, your files show you are pretty good with a computer. I'll give you a chance to bypass the lock before we have to go around. I might be able to help, too."

OOC I have Computer Hacking at 56%, but Onni has a better roll than I do. Can I give a try to supplement good roll with one of my own?

Yes, you can make a supplemental roll. For every two that you make your roll by, it adds one to the roll being made by Eonivar Eonivar
 
Eonivar Eonivar do you want to add to the hacking roll to bypass the lock, or see if Pyrrah has rolled low enough on her own?
 
"Will do." Onni moves up at Pyrrah's question to stand beside her, looking down at the door panel for the lock, pulling out a connector from his portable forearm PC and connecting it to the panel. "I looked over the standard operating systems for the Robotech Masters in training. So this is somewhat familiar...we'll see...your help is appreciated though as the language can be tricky."

The two Cyclone pilots step up and begin the process of cracking code to get the blast doors open. This are going well, right up to the point that there is a flash of sparks and a small electrical fire starts up. Fortunately, the work of getting the door open is done before the damage is too bad.

Alarms start to blare as the heavy door slowly lifts up and the atmosphere begins to rush out. You know that the doors will shut to keep this part of the ship from depressurizing and killing everyone in this section soon, but that should give you enough time to get everyone through to the other side.

Keith and Torni bolt through first and signal the all clear, then shift to one side as the larger bioroids and C'osmo's Silverback limbo under the door. This leaves Pyrrah and Onni as the last two to cross into the engineering space of the ship. With a dull rumble that is more felt than herd the blast doors drop shut and this chamber quickly vents into hard vacuum again.

Moving once more, the two bioroids set out at a run as they continue to look for Invid. The search does not take long before you run across six more Shock Troopers and a heavier Enforcer. This time there is no surprise and the Invid are waiting for you, cannons hot and ready for combat.

Everyone, initiative rolls again please.

C'osmo grins brightly and makes dodging motions. "You're a ninja, I tell you! You know what a ninja is, right? The way you move! Woossh! Zing! Hiyaaa!" He thinks a moment. "Okay, maybe no 'Hiyaaa,' but close enough!!"

Moving once more, the two bioroids set out at a run as they continue to look for Invid. The search does not take long before you run across six more Shock Troopers and a heavier Enforcer. This time there is no surprise and the Invid are waiting for you, cannons hot and ready for combat.
C'osmo snarls in defiance as the terrible scenes of carnage and sorrow they just left behind fill his mind.

"Why... you... sorry cowards might be good at shooting at unarmed innocent civilians, but let's see how you do against UEEF Marines!"

C'osmo trains his missile systems on the Enforcer for a lock and tries to loose 8 of his Plasma mini-missiles at what appears to be the leader of the group - the Enforcer.

"Eat hot warheads, you spineless losers!"

Sherwood Sherwood C'osmo is really stirred up right now. I would like to spend an Action Point for the missile volley, please.
 
C'osmo's missiles fly straight and true, slamming into the Enforcer with a solid hit. It may have been damaged earlier, or you just managed to tag it hard enough to kill it on your own. Either way, it explodes and falls to pieces.

Torni raises up her beam cannon and fires at Shock Trooper 1 and scores a direct hit on its eyepiece, shattering the weak armor and killing it in a single hit.

She raises up her rifle and tries for a Called Shot into the eye of Shock Trooper 2.

The AP Cannon roars and hits the Shock Trooper with a killing blow, taking it out of the fight with ease.

Shock Trooper 3 fires at C'osmo, and its plasma cannon fire will hit unless you dodge.

Sherwood Sherwood The furry Marine sees the barrel aimed in his direction and shouts while moving, "YOWZA! That's gonna burn!"

C'osmo jerks the Silverback toward better cover in an attempt to Automatic Dodge (with a whopping +14 when the Scout Suite's bonuses are included - hooray for the Scout Suite)!
 
Sorry, I forgot to break out my dice the other day after work to make this action resolved. Here we go.

C'osmo moves his Silverback quickly, and it's a good thing he does because the plasma blasts nearly hit him.

Using the team's fire as cover, Onni moves in through doorway past Pyrrah, and with a flash of his thrusters launches into the air. The Guradan's Cyclone's rectangular targeting receptacle opens out of its shoulder carriage as he raises his 80mm Beam Cannon to take a shot at the eye of the Invid Shock Trooper who shot at C'osmo (Shock Trooper 3). The muzzle of the Beam Cannon glows briefly before sending its deadly beam of light towards Onni's foe.

Between Onni and Keith working together on Shock Trooper 3, they manage to do enough damage to it to bring the Invid mecha down.

The last three Shock Troopers target Pyrrah, firing deadly plasma blasts at her. They will hit unless you dodge.

Psychie Psychie has a defense to roll, then Purr Purr is up with C'osmo

Pyrrah manages to just barely evade the attacks, but the paint on your Cyclone might have boiled off from the near hit.
