You are a Fatebinder, and lives of thousands rests upon your shoulders though you may not know it yet.

It is often said that Women and Men are given the choice to serve the armies under Kyros, and are granted equal rights for better... Or for worse. Tell me Fatebinder.... Are you a Male or Female?

1. You are a Male from the Northern Empire in which you were born in.

2. You are a Female from the Northern Empire in which you were born in.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah.... So that is your gender? Very interesting indeed... But what exactly is your background? How were you raised or more Specifically... How did you arrive into Tunon's Court as a Fatebinder?

1. [Pit Fighter] You and your mother were bought by a mistress, though she was unable to feed the both of you, so you were sent to the Pit Arena. The Arena is the most bloodiest, brutal, and greatest form of Entertainment in the Northern Empire. You were given the subsequent training necessary to make sure your first fight wasn't short.

You have only known survival, and that you must fight in every single way to not be dead. There is a tradition in the Arena, where if a Fighter defeats 13 opponents one after another without any breaks or a chance to recover they are granted freedom. There have only been 3 victors of the tradition, you are the Fourth. You were free but Tunon saw you as a valuable asset, and so you became a Fatebinder who was educated with letters, numbers, and the Laws of Kyros. (+10 Athletics, + 15 Dodge, +5 Subterfuge)

2. [Hunter] You were but a child when the leaders of your town disobeyed Kyros and their laws. So the Armies of the Overlord came and torched the Backwater to the ground, with you as one of it survivors. You were found by the Bounding Viper tribe, a tribe of Beastmen, and while you were young, you weren't afraid. The Beast Matriarch was impressed and so you were adopted by the creatures.

Over the years you lived with the tribe, learning how to hunt. In the mountains, it was hard to sustain the tribe as with each year the Winters grew worse and so did the Death toll. When you tribe was weak enough, the Soldiers of the Disfavored scattered the remnants. They were quite surprised to see a human among a Beast tribe so you were captured alive and brought before Tunon. He made you into a Fatebinder and were you once uncivilized, you were taught numbers and laws. (+15 Athletics, +10 Subterfuge, +5 Dodge)

3. [Guild Apprentice] When you were young, you were very intelligent. This intelligence made your parents look high and low to secure you a better future. And so it was they Struck a Bargain with The Seven Tree Guild, a Small Mage guild, that they would teach you Letters, Numbers, and Magic, If you proved Capable.

Through several years you were taught and you learned much from the mages as you mastered reading and faster writing. You even got some time into basic Mystic and Spellcraft. But you studies were abruptly stopped as The Voices of Nerrat, The Archon of secrets, deemed your guild to peaceful when war was coming. So it was that the mages were placed into the armies, you however found the gaze of Tunon who decided your potential would be a greater asset to him. And so you were made into a FateBinder. (+20 Lore, +5 Dodge)

4. [Noble Scion] You are the child of a noble family, whom of which is very wealthy. You were raised up to know Letters, Numbers, History, and other cultural stuff. While you grew up wealthy and with luxury comforts, you were expected to grow up and become a Shepard of Prosperity and war.

Soon your family was under fire with an accusation, this led to a trial. You were sent as the family's defender to Tunon's court. Your family was founded guilty and so they lost their estate and had to pay a hefty fine. With Eloquence you pleaded innocent that you had nothing to do with the affairs of your family and struck a very important deal with Tunon. You would offer yourself to his service on the condition that you can avoid the downfall of your family. And so it was that you learned laws and being a Fatebinder. (+10 Lore, +15 Subterfuge)

5. [Soldier] Having no way of paying the tithe to the Overlord, you were your parents offer as a soldier. Throughout your childhood you became a soldier with training and the mental fortitude that is required of one. You don't shy away from blood and death, you have seen some things yet you sleep easy at night.

You were smarter than the average soldier and much better, it seemed like you were being trained to be a commander. When war was on the rise, the ranks of the Disfavored seemed like the place you were going. Instead Tunon saw your potential and turned you into a Fatebinder to use your skills to enforce Kyros' laws. (+20 Athletics, +5 Parry, you are much better at combat.)

6. [Lawbreaker] You were accused of a crime that you certainly did commit and had to stand trial. You pleaded your case with Tunon, Archon of Justice, with Eloquence, Reasoning, and Confidence. You impressed Tunon with how well you conducted your case and the reasoning behind it, and so you were found Guilty anyways.

Often it is said some of the Fatebinders in Tunon's Court are often picked from the prisoners themselves. What better way at catching criminals and convicting them then to use criminals against them.

In his mercy he gave you a two choices, live in a cell for the rest of you life, or to become a Fatebinder and serve Tunon for the rest of your life. Not wanting to spend your life in prison you chose to work for Tunon, which isn't being free but it's means your more free than the next guy. (+25 Subterfuge)

7. [War Mage] Few have both wits and courage, to be spellcasters. Those who do are torn from their families to serve in the armies of the Archons. Your earliest memories are slogging through Training, study, lectures, and total exhaustion, the elements of being groomed for battle. You didn't question anything about you Family as you would never see them again so what is the point?

By the time you reached Adulthood, Tunon The Adjudicator came to your barracks and claimed your life. You were too valuable to have to go out and fight with the armies. So you had much to learn in the way of law but nobody could deny that you had a bright future under Tunon. (+10 Athletics, +10 Dodge, + 5 Lore, + 10 Parry)

8. [Diplomat] For some reason that they wouldn't tell you why, Kyros had granted your Family significant wealth for some service they committed to the Overlord. And so they sent you on a tour all around Tarratus being taught by Tutors and had fleeting friendships. Where others had a normal and stabilized life, you had varied education and worldly knowledge.

Due to a careless word in some city, you were landed into Tunon's court and stood trial. You stood your ground with eloquence and even turned the whole trial on your accuser. Tunon concurred with your reasoning and found you innocent, and he was impressed by you Wit, Wisdom, and Adaptability. And so it was that you became his newest Enforcer. (+20 Lore, +10 Subterfuge)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh! I see! How interesting! Now tell me exactly what weapons do you use? Your fighting style is important.
[Select Two]

1. Sword and Shield [+5 Parry, +5 Athletics]

2. Greatsword [+5 Parry, +7 Athletics]

Welcome one and all to my first Questing Rp! :D

This little gem is based on the Video Game Tyranny, which is like Baldurs gate in style. And it's a really good game. It's pretty much the standard story mixed with my creativity so it's not entirely the same.

I shall explain a few things and more will be explained further as we progress through the Rp.

One things is the Rules:

1. We are all to be respectful to each other, so don't attack somebody for not picking your choices.

2. Having a good discussion between everybody is good! If people make good arguments for their choices and one does eventually has a majority vote, I will give you guys some special goodies for the character.

3. Remember, I am always right even when I'm wrong. This is meant for major things not minor which I can change my mind on.

4. You can change your vote if you like someone else's but don't constantly change all the time as that gets annoying to track.

5. Follow Standard RpN rules so no sexual stuff or saying stuff that's really racist.

6. If you have questions don't be afraid to ask me, I will always answer them to the best of my abilities.

7. Remember, our choices has consequences in the future. So don't just go killing people or pissing people off cause you feel like it. You can and will regret various decisions.

8. Have Fun please!

More rules might be made later on but I think we all know how to behave.

Now I bet you're wondering what exactly a Fatebinder is if you haven't guessed already. A Fatebinder is basically a person whom has to enforce Kyros' laws and to settle disputes between people. So basically like a traveling investigator/Judge. But you serve under The Archon of Jsutice so you can't bend the law to your favor. If you do that will not make him happy with you. So don't try to bend the rules because no matter where you are, he will know.

If you want to know more about the game, the locations and world setting, here is a link to a wiki about the game. So if you have questions, or want to look around do as you please, but don't look at the locations as they are spoilers for conquest decisions. Other wise here is the link!

I think that is everything I need to say but if there's more then I will update this.

Oooh hoo hooo! This, this I like. Got a video you may like about tyranny, by a really good video essayist. It's a bit long, though.

Anywho, lets get to making a character!

We are Normac, a powerful man, raised by beastmen to become a great hunter, skilled with the greatsword and the shortbow.
Dodge: 5
Parry: 7
Athletics: 4
Lore: 1
Subterfuge: 3

I concur.

I think I'm out on this one, sorry!
What, not interested in participating in very morally questionable activities while upholding the law of an evil godlike tyrant, or at least, our own interpretation of said evil godlike tyrants law? Not interested in being subtly controlled by men and women of power in order to think as they do, to be willing to let any evil slide in order to get our own ends, until we end up finding ourselves more evil than the people we were working for? Not willing to stop and question yourself about your morality and ethics, and change the veiw you hold of the world around you?

I got a lot of things happening lately, so I wont be able to respond to RPN much.
