Friday. 6am. Long Beach, California.

The sun was just begging to rise of the beautiful blue waters, it's reflection barley able to be seen against the calm waves. The beach, at this time, was pretty bare. There weren't any fans or band members running around just yet, which of course was obvious due to how early it was. There was only one person there, taking in the sights and sounds of the beach around her. The girl sat in the sand, staring off at the horizon, her lips shaped into a soft smile. She seemed to be rather relaxed, happy that she was able to have some quiet time. This time alone was allowing her to clear her head, and let all of her worries and thoughts go. The light summer breeze that blew was another reminder that it was the start of a new day, and the start of what would hopefully be one of the best music festivals to ever be known to the heavy metal world.

The girl that sat in the sand was pretty well known by many in the universe that involved heavy guitar riffs and hair raising drum solos. Her name was Raven. Raven Rust Mendoza. Yes, the younger sister of Mark "The Animal" Mendoza, whom was known as the bassist for the band Twisted Sister. Raven wasn't just known by who her brother was, but she was also known as the shy, quiet second and backing vocalist of the band Metallica. Her appearance could cause anyone to think she wasn't necessarily real. The bright green color of her eyes looked as if they were glowing. Her auburn colored hair nearly reached her knees, and she doesn't have any plans of cutting it. Her skin was pale enough to be considered ghostly, and that's how it always stayed since Raven didn't have the ability to tan. Her body was noticeably thinner than she was supposed to be, which, the reason for that will be mentioned later. Lastly, she stood at a height of 5'10 causing most other females to only reach her shoulders.

The girl shifted her eyes to look over to her left, a golden retriever appearing in her line of sight. She smiled once more, holding her left hand out to gesture for the dog to come over to her. The dog barked happily, wagging his tail as he trotted over to the girl, licking her face to show affection. Raven giggled, "Hey, Captain! That tickles!" She giggled more, lifting her left hand to the top of the dogs head. She began to gently pet his soft fur, gesturing that she was happy to see him. She leaned forward, giving the dog a light peck on the nose, which this caused the dog to lick her cheek in return. "Alright, go play in the water or something. It's still early, so we have plenty of free time." Captain barked in response, running in the direction of the water, hopping in once he had arrived at the water's edge. Raven let a soft, content sigh leave her lips. Most thing she could do now was wait to see if anyone else would appear.
