The year is 2021 and exactly 20 years ago The Event occured. A massive pulse of mysterious energy which engulfed the entire planet. Every electronic device was fried and tens of millions died around the world as satillites and planes fell from the heavens. The next two decades were spent trying to rebuild, however a new problem had also arisen, all across the world people were developing superpowers in reaction to the Events energy. Roughly 60 million people world wide were empowered, about 1% of the worlds population.

Crime became more frequent and far more dangerous a problem. The governments of the world began to run smear campaigns against the Empowered individuals, claiming them to be ticking time bombs ready to go off without warning and destroy all those around them. In 2006 the black templar was formed in secret and they would go on to hunt down any empowered beings they could find and either kill or capture them. With many empowered individuals becoming homeless and losing their jobs due to unfortunately obvious mutations.

Because of all this The empowered have become second class citizens having to keep their abilities secret or live life on the run. In recent years many of the empowered have begun to fight back. The media's scramble to cover live battles between local law enforcement and the empowered. However this retaliation caused the black templar to go public, and to begin to be viewed as heroes. It seems the world has turned into a bomb, and the fuse has been lit.​

The Black Templar


A global military force Funded and controlled by the united nations. They are the best soldiers the world has to offer taken from every branch of the worlds militaries and intelligence agencies. After being recruuted they undergo another 4 years of training to learn to properly use their specialized equipment and to learn tactics to make dealing with empowered far easier. So far they possess a 98% success rate usually making short work of their targets.


Templar Elite forces

The units called in to deal with the highest threats. They are the top 50 soldiers in the black templar divided into 10 five man squads. They have never failed to get their targets.
