I just need a place to dump my characters so here goes!
Name: Tristan Daughtry
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Race: African American; Caucasian
DOB: 4/26/2044
Personality: Calm, nonchalant, sometimes kind of arrogant, very caring for those close to him, and hardheaded.
Story in short: Born into a world where nuclear warfare had destroyed all he knew, Tristan was born right after the war that ended the world. Growing up in the radioactive wasteland environment of post-war Tulsa, Oklahoma was rough on any kid, but as most children born around this time, his body was naturally used to the radiation. The same couldn’t be said for his parents. When Tristan was only 4, his mother died from radiation poisoning, and his father when he was 7. He was taken in by a small group of refugees in McClain county, a rural area where many adults were still alive due to the low radiation. Tristan grieved every day over his losses, but soon at the age of 8 found a father figure in a 36 year old white man named Gregory Jones. Gregory fought in the war, but went AWOL when he heard the use of nuclear weapons was green-lighted. He didn’t want to have a hand in the chaos that followed. Years later, when Tristan was 11, non-contaminated supplies was coming in very short supply. Gregory decided that he, Tristan, and a boy named Carlos Maduro, a 9-year-old boy from Puerto Rico who Tristan became close with, would leave Oklahoma in search of supplies, refuge, and security.
Over the years, people began to get used to the new world we lived in. Most people were just trying to survive and began to colonize within some of the bigger cities that were still standing, however in the rural areas, there were a few more violent types rising up, making the rural areas more dangerous. Between the time that Tristan left with Greg to the time he was 18, Greg had trained him and Carlos to fight, survive, hunt, and ultimately how to take care of each other. Now Tristan is 22, Carlos is 20, and Greg is 48. They live together in an abandoned government building in Alpharetta, GA.
