Personality Nrældir has been described as having a serious, commanding personality. He is goal-oriented and task driven. While in the past he has been ignorant to danger and his team, he recently has been forced into leadership-oriented positions due to a deal made with the King of Atlantis. While he is not a particularly empathetic individual, he is a very logical one. Thus, speaking to him is not impossible if it makes sense. Even if a suggestion might not be the best, it is possible to reach him just by calmly making sense. There exists a fine line between discussions like this an arguments. Nrældir absolutely hates the arguments that were found in the old League and rejects them from the current iteration of the team. In some cases, he sends his own teammates back to base if they cannot cooperate.

He is far from the most charismatic or likable individual. He is cold, blunt and isn't out to make friends or keep anyone happy. While it's not necessarily obvious, he tends to pick favorites based on attitude and stick to what they say above others. He is easily one of the most reliable members of a team and will risk his own life to save another, but he will refuse to celebrate a victory within the same hour he saved a life. Overall, Nrældir is emotionally distant and keeps it that way. Aside from training or sparring, Nrældir spends no time outside of missions with his teammates.

History

Nrældir was fated to be an exception to the rules from far before he was born. Tohlis'torm, his father and a decorated Atlantean soldier, was granted the honor of bringing a third child into Atlantis. This was one of the most profound honors within Atlantean culture as the two-child policy was instated to keep a healthy equilibrium in their underwater paradise. As Atlantis was a closed culture of a set size, efforts were made to keep the gene pool diverse, thus a third child would bring the greatest honor one could achieve in Atlantis: a more profound impact on the next generation of Atlantis. Nrældir was the child born to reward his father and make the impact of their family known to the generation that followed.

Tohlis became a solider to follow his family tradition, and ultimately fought to preserve the environment around Altantean seas and scout out potential threats such as underwater beasts or foreign intruders. As the dangers that surrounded Atlantis increased, Tohlis and his squadron became renown aquatic hunters that fought mutated beasts created by pollution from chemical dumps and laboratories from assorted groups such as LexCorp, Alva Industries and even governmental projects such as CADMUS. The exploits of Tohlis and his squadron led to the formation a new Atlantean force called the Seastone Stalkers—a squadron of elite hunters trained specifically to eliminate the mutated beasts that plagued the depths.

As a founding member of the Seastone Stalkers and a Captain in the Altantean forces, Tohlis was withdrawn from the field to be granted the royal honor of a third child and made into an expert tutor for the recruits attempting to become Stalkers. He went on to train some of the most impressive Stalkers of the entire Altanean fighting force and even those that left his training were often impressive soldiers in their own right. Many of those that underwent his tutelage ultimately earned one of the highest titles available for a soldier in Atlantis: the Royal Guard. In short, Tohlis cast a large shadow for his children to fill, and Nrældir was the prodigal son gifted to him to fill it.

Nrældir was born twelve years junior to his sister Kamini and fifteen to his eldest brother, Torenn'torm. This significant gap in their ages put a fairly large barrier between Nrældir and his siblings, and there in many ways already existed one. While many siblings feel the youngest are given less or more lenient rules, Nrældir was literally born as an exception to them, and there was a slight amount of resentment for it. It was like this for most families with a third child. The barrier created by their age difference, however, oddly worked in his favor in this case. By the time Nrældir could even begin to understand how his siblings felt, Torenn had already left home to become a Seastone Stalker like his father and carry on the family lineage. His sister entered research and married off soon after. In many ways, Nrældir was raised more like an only child.

Nrældir had no lack of attention. His father wanted him to follow in his own footsteps, but not like Torenn. His older brother was a hot-headed warrior that let their family recognition go to his head. He wanted Nrældir to become a tutor like himself. To understand the art of combat. While Nrældir was an exception to the rule in every way, his father cracked down on him to try and dissolve the pride that he felt held Torenn back. It was during one of these more tense moments where Tohlis was scolding Nrældir that the secret behind what really made him special was found: Nrældir slammed his father into the wall with a wave of water using hydromancy at the age of just five. Not only was this immediate use of magic unheard of, but his lack of training and tattoos further put it into question.

Nrældir spent the next two years of his life being researched by the Conservatory of Sorcery, however, the answer to the riddle wasn't found within him. It was within Tohlis. After nearly a decade of fighting mutants and cleaning polluted waters, Tohlis had his genome mutated in such a way that it became a prevalent genetic trait in Nrældir. The mutations were unique. They were natural. Unlike the gene splicing of CADMUS, these genes were still completely Atlantean. Unlike the forced mutations of Quantum Vapor, these mutations were gradual. There cause was unknown, but their effect was obvious: Nrældir was given a unique and powerful affinity for Hydromancy. Nrældir was special before due to his place in his culture, but now he had a true physical difference that made him unique.

Nrældir continued to train under his father, however, he was now under the tutelage of a master in Atlantean Sorcery. A relatively young mentor named Jirin, his family name dropped. While he wasn't the most powerful in the magical arts, there was no greater scholar in the history of Atlantean Sorcery—and no greater advocate for control over magic. The next few years consisted of Nrældir having his ego and physical abilities honed by his father, learning the basics of Atlantean curriculum as all other youths did, and learning to control his latent powers from Jirin. The true core of his powers surfaced during this time as he developed an ability Jirin had only ever read about: the ability to shift into water itself.

Once Jirin identified this mythical ability, he notified the Conservatory of Sorcery immediately and Nrældir once again became the focus of attention. The only people within Atlantean history noted with the ability were revered as demigods: literal children of Poseidon himself. While many viewed it as a true gift, others resented it in the same way his siblings would have. He had an ability he didn't deserve that put him above most others. At this point, Nrældir relocated to the official grounds of the Conservatory in Poseidonis and continued to train there. And, it was there that the next chapter in his life began to unfold.

While the Conservatory of Sorcery had an obvious focus on magic, it still sported athletic resources and scholastic capabilities. Nrældir continued his education there and after breaking the trend of resentment for his abilities, made many friends. One person in specific, however, continued their resentment over him. Nrældir was one of the strongest of his age group and even those above it with Hydromancy, but he wasn't the best despite his natural affinity. That title fell to a girl only a few months younger than Nrældir named Aminala. Aminala was a distant cousin to the King himself and her affinity for Atlantean Sorcery in general was so great that she could even control the water that Nrældir turned into. Despite her edge over him, he was the most difficult rival she had ever seen.

For Aminala, magic came naturally. She loved it. She pursued it more. In fact, she tutored with Jirin just as Nrældir did to learn more about magic. She had an intellectual lust for it and it was through this that she grew. It was no wonder she was greater than Nrældir. Because as she read through books and old scrolls, Nrældir wrestled with those that wanted to be soldiers. He learned to become effective in combat. He never stopped honing his body like his father taught him. And, much like his affinity with magic, he wasn't the greatest warrior of his generation, but he was definitely one of them. Not only that, Nrældir had another talent for tactics and strategy just as his father did.

These traits made him a difficult opponent. Aminala could not just outpower him. He had plenty of resources and approaches to combat. Despite her being the superior sorcerer, Nrældir proved that he could be the superior combatant. The two dueled nearly weekly, and their rivalry only grew more intense with each sparring session. That was until the passion between them shifted. Nrældir had always admitted that Aminala was beautiful with her fiery, red hair, but she had spurred him for his natural advantages and lack of dedication. Over time, she developed a respect for him and his consistent duels with her and how they grew together. Over time, they fell in love.

Nrældir and Aminala became one of the most well-known power couples in all of Atlantis for a while. He Who Broke the Rules and She Who Ruled the Tides. It was no wonder that after years of training together and proving their loyalty to each other that the King chose them to represent Atlantis on the surface. Both were sent as the new Aqualad and Aquagirl for the Justice League, and both became well-known in the League for it. Their unique, yet diverse skills. Their combat abilities, aquatic affinities and magic. The two were inseparable for a while and had never failed a mission. Even older members of the League respected what these two brought to the table.

Until things changed. Aminala was in love with the surface world. It was like she rediscovered magic. In fact, she did. Aminala began researching fields of magic she didn't know existed and chased this passion to the ends of the Earth when she wasn't on a mission. Sometimes, Nrældir could hardly keep up. He didn't have the same love for knowledge and magic as she did, but he would go anywhere she would. Times came when they were needed on a mission, but she was still in her pursuit. Nrældir often gave her the chance to continue her research while he faced dangerous missions alone solely so that she could be happy. He thought it was the right thing to do.

What he didn't know is that Aminala had fallen in love with more than just magic. A practitioner of mystical arts in a fine, white suit had begun appearing to her, leaving her clues as to where to find the next tomb or continue her education. She was becoming a mage on a different level than Nrældir ever was, but she was also becoming more curious by the figure she always saw. Soon enough, she stopped chasing magic and started chasing him. That pursuit, especially in the growing absence of Nrældir, lead to new feelings when she finally caught him and he showed her what the world of magic truly was. When she caught him, he stole her... from Nrældir.

She didn't leave him immediately. It was over time. She had to distance herself from him. The pain. It was upsetting even for her to leave her childhood love. But, she did. She left him with a message in the waters they were supposed to meet. She broke up with him and told him she was leaving the League. Aminala left his life that day, and it put him in shock. In grief. He did everything up until that point for her, basically, and she just left him. He refused it for a while. He waited two days standing still on the rock where the waves crashed, refusing to communicate with his team. He was a statue waiting for her... but she didn't come.

Then came anger. A rage that earned him his name. It was no wonder those that possessed his abilities were considered Demigods. As his rage grew within him and he felt it swell inside him while he still pretended to be a statue, a storm brewed that matched his rage. A storm like no other. A storm with winds that could tear apart steel, rip earth from the ground and rain that could drown entire countries. Before he began unleashing his rage in the form of blasts into the water, entire cyclones of water rose up into the storm, creating a deadly field or swirling wind around him met by thick darkness and lightning. If left alone, this storm could have ravaged the world itself.

The storm caused a heart shattering.

Eventually, the League intervened. Nrældir was shot into space and given time to cool down. It took him months before he came to terms with it. Every other stage of grief beyond just those first two. But, eventually he did. Eventually, Nrældir stitched his heart back together and fell back on the training of his father. He honed his body again. He was let back into the Watchtower and he sparred nearly everyone available until he could either win or tire them out trying. He perfected his control over his Hydromancy to even greater extents, so much that he could make a single water droplet shot through steel. He rebuilt himself to be a better soldier, and a better soldier he became.

He returned to the field as the most senior aquatic member of the League. He rarely worked in groups and never had a partner. He wanted missions done, whatever they were. While other members of the League complained about destruction, Nrældir simply asked about the details of a mission. He didn't care. In fact, he began throwing himself into more dangerous and dangerous missions. He began taking ignorant, stupid risks, and somehow he survived. He spent two years nearly suicidal in his efforts to become an elite soldier, and he beat all odds in becoming one.

He would have likely continued on that path, too, had it not been for a girl named Lily. She was a junior member assigned to be trained by Nrældir. How this happened wasn't clear, and Lily became nothing less than a frustration to Nrældir. Not only did he have to train her, but now he had to take a partner into consideration. No more stupid risks. His hands became tied. And, her abilities? Just one. She could alter the density of her body to pass through physical materials. Intangibility was a useless ability for Nrældir, but at the very least, it would keep her safe. Not to mention, she was a notably good hand-to-hand combatant, but sparring with her meant cutting back his full strength.

Nrældir hated it at first. He hated her at first. But, over time, he became more and more attached to her. She somehow got him to talk about his past. About his abilities. About how he became one of the most renown members of the League, yet refused to talk to half of them. Lily became his best friend, and he continued to train her. He taught her the tactics he learned in Atlantis, he showed her what Atlantean Sorcery meant and he even shared with her the honor of his family. He told her his greatest secret: that all he ever really wanted was to make his father proud.

Fact was, Nrældir was falling in love with Lily. In many ways, he loved her in ways he never loved Aminala. Their love was a burning passion, but Lily understood him on a fundamental level. He felt like he could be himself. Not a soldier. Not an Atlantean. Not Aqualad, or Torrent has he had become known. But himself: Nrældir'torm. It was all too perfect, though. Events started to unfold that unraveled plenty of plans by R'as Al Ghul, and Lily was in fact one of them. R'as wanted Nrældir to become a pawn with his uniquely powerful Hydromancy, and he wanted Lily to sway him to do it. He wanted her to turn him over.

Before the plan could have worked, and it just might have, Lily was caught. Her powers weren't just intangibility. She was a genetic experiment in splicing Martian DNA into humans. She shapeshifted into a form Nrældir would like and while her powers weren't as strong as a Martian's, she used her empathy to sway him and made a telepathic bond to slowly make him feel how he did for her. It took time. Months. But, Lily, or whoever she was, gradually made Nrældir fall in love in an attempt to bring him into the League of Assassins. The plan failed. Her powers were found out to be a fraud, her DNA revealed who she was and she was confronted for lying. This shattered Nrældir again, but this time, he kept himself composed. He had trained to make sure what happened before never happened again.

He did, however, allow Lily to escape. He stood in the way of the League. He let her go. He dared anyone to cross him as she fled. And, no one would. No one would cross the Atlantean that could brew a storm that could destroy continents. While his powers weren't near that level anymore, the fact was, no one knew that. No one was sure of that. Upsetting Nrældir or potentially losing him as a member of the League just wasn't worth the spy that infiltrated the League. Soon after, Nrældir had all traces of Lily wiped from his mind, although he chose to keep the memories. The League decided that his actions weren't technically his own since he was under her mental influence. Most forgave Nrældir, although he didn't forgive himself.

Nrældir trained even harder. He pushed himself to become more like his father. He pushed himself to reject everyone else in the world. Nrældir became cold, distant and dangerous. His powers spiked in his new state and he became more lethal. While he wasn't outright destructive, he didn't differentiate being unconscious and dead when it came to his targets. This might have became a problem, too, if not for the upcoming battle that redefined the League in its entirety. Just as the League and its leadership was dissolving, R'as attempted to enact his plan: an assault on Alcatraz.

The attack happened two days before intelligence said it would. R'as had sleeper agents everywhere, including as guards. Something or someone in Alcatraz was important enough that he had spent at least a decade planting people in the perfect positions. A call to arms alerted all active League members to help defend the island, but the assault was already underway. Nrældir, however, never sat foot on Alcatraz. His battle was elsewhere. Apparently, powerful hydromancy had been used to rip apart ground-level security on the island, and that was a threat specifically for Nrældir.

Nrældir traced the magic being used as if he were a bloodhound. Hydromancy was nearly part of him. There was no hiding that magic from him. A few miles away, he found a face he never thought he'd see again. Aminala was the one helping R'as assault Alcatraz, and this put a new twist on the situation with Nrældir. He was filled with a plethora of emotions ranging from range to just an odd joy to see her again. Despite his icy heart and the damage done by Lily, deep down there was still a spark of love for the fiery, red-headed vixen in front of him. So, at first... they didn't fight. They talked.

It was almost sweet, really. Aminala admitted she was wrong to leave Nrældir and that she still did love him, but that R'as had better plans for the world.

Nrældir couldn't help but feel the hardest punch to his gut he ever had once he heard those words. He loved her, too, but he couldn't tell her that.

Aminala said that she knew what Lily was doing and she hated it. She begged R'as not to, but he promised if Nrældir joined, he would let him reunite with her.

Nrældir couldn't help but wonder if he should have. He didn't know how Lily felt, but after Aminala left him, she boldly said she wanted to be together again.

Aminala continued on. She said she missed him. She explained how the magician in the white suit was just a pawn to get her there. But she loved the magic. She became a mage of far more schools of magic. But, once the appeal of mage in the white suit wore off, she dreamed of Nrældir and how she couldn't replace him.

Nrældir listened to every word she said. It made sense and he hated it. Oh, god, he hated it. But something stopped him from just giving in. His father stopped him from just giving in.

Tohlis told his son stories about the monstrosities of the depths. How they played with a man's mind. He explained that a veteran lived as long as he did because he thought like a soldier, not just a man, and a soldier stayed true to the mission. Nrældir could almost hear his father. It was a trap. Even if Aminala felt how she did and believed every word she said, R'as was using her. If R'as gained two of the most powerful hydromancers alive while taking an island, there would be no stopping him. They had naval supremacy. And, for that purpose, Nrældir couldn't side with her even if he wanted to.

And if he wasn't with her, he was against her.

This is when the fight ensued. A fight potentially more epic in scale than what happened on Alcatraz, but it wouldn't be the one that went down in history books. Nrældir was fueled by his passions again, and he gained power from his emotions. His rage, his forlorn love, his desire to make his father proud. It all filled him with an immense determination that powered his magic. While Aminala was far more skilled at manipulating the waters, Nrældir was by far outpowering her this time. Where she could create tidal waves, he could create tsunamis. Where she could create whips of water, he could control waterfalls.

Hydromancy, however, wasn't the only magic she had. No, she blasted him with balls of fire, she teleported around in the air while flying, she cut at him with blades of wind, created barriers and tried to freeze over the water he controlled. The battle was epic and with each new school of magic she responded with, Nrældir only proved his skill with Hydromancy that much further. They were at a stalemate. Aminala couldn't match his power or prowess with Hydromancy, but Nrældir couldn't match her sheer versatility.

Nrældir did have another trick up his sleeve. His aquatic form. Upon shifting into water itself, his hydromancy became even more empowered. Aminala, however, had proven in the past that she could control him in this form, so it made it a risk. It became a risk Nrældir was willing to take. In a single clutch moment, Nrældir turned into his aquatic form in a swirling water spout at which he tried to control the entire sea below him. Aminala, flying mid-air, tried to overpower him in this form, purely concentrating on her magic. It was a battle of sheer willpower. Which mage was greater. Whose desires overpowered the others.

In the end, Nrældir burst free of her hold and controlled the entire water around them. She had no place to go, no way to escape the thick walls, literally nothing she could do. He had to trapped in the seawater arena and his power over the water was so great she couldn't even take hold. After years of being in her shadow with Atlantean Sorcery, Nrældir proved the better.

Then Aminala apologized.

She teleported behind Nrældir and thrust her glowing pink hand into his aquatic form. She couldn't control him, no, but she could force him back into his normal state by disrupting the magic that flowed through him. And, right after that, she impaled him with a large, runed blade glowing with the same magic. She whispered in his ear that she was sorry... she didn't want it to turn out this way. She told him she could have done this at any time, but she was holding back.

But Nrældir reminded her he was the soldier and that it's not wise to for a mage to get in fighting distance of a warrior. He grabbed her blade and let a powerful electrical current flow through it, knocking her out cold. Aminala would have fell to a watery death if not for Nrældir. After the magic drained from the blade, he shifted back into water and pulled it out. It fell into the sea, but he couldn't maintain it for long. He was bleeding. Even in his aquatic form, he reformed with the damage he took. She got him. But, despite that, he held her. He couldn't hurt her, not really. He rode the waves back to Alcatraz.

By the time he arrived, most of the battle was over. The island was being evacuated. R'as Al Ghul had won. Lieutenants in the League of Assassins were already in and out. At this point, they were just releasing criminals into the wild and fighting a losing war. Hundreds of dangerous metahumans were flooding the shores trying to escape, all seemingly enraged beyond belief. R'as had done something to them to make them crazed, but there was no one explaining the situation. There was no teamwork. Handfuls of heroes just fought where they could. Nrældir was in no state to continue fighting and needed medical attention.

As he was being lifted out with Aminala now in containment, the island exploded. Most of the heroes were gone. A perimeter was set. The goal was just to get everyone out that they could, but fact was, Alcatraz was going down. In the chaos that ensued, the heroes checked on each other. The only ones within the blast radius were those capable of surviving it somehow. Superman, Wonder Woman, Thrall, Will, the various lanterns and so on. It wasn't until the final message went through that the reality of Alcatraz really set in: "Nightwing down."

Everything fell apart after that. The entire Bat family withdrew from the League, blaming the lack of leadership and coordination for the failure. Some people left on similar notions. Some people blamed the demons. Some people blamed the entire new generation. The League lost sixty percent of its roster in the following year, including Nrældir. The United Nations demanded those involved with R'as to be handed over, included Aminala. Nrældir followed her, albeit indirectly. Aquaman pulled diplomatic strings to have Aminala returned to Atlantis as a prisoner, and there, Nrældir returned.

Arthur was still acting King and he aged as slow as other Atlanteans, leaving him ripe in his prime. He thanked Nrældir for his service, but he noted how dangerous Aminala was and the great dishonor she brought to all of Atlantis. Her magical abilities alone made her a threat. Still, Nrældir pleaded to spare her. Execution was the punishment in line for her, but deep down, a part of Nrældir thought she could be saved. If she loved him, if she missed him, then maybe she could be convinced of how wrong R'as was. Nrældir debated with the King himself, breaking down in a way he hadn't his whole life. He argued with the King of Atlantis himself over a girl that had hurt him twice. He couldn't lose her again.

And, after much deliberation, the King allowed for Aminala to be spared. She would be locked inside the Conservatory of Sorcery where her magic would be entirely suppressed. And, with oversight, Nrældir would be allowed to visit her. However, the King demanded one thing from Nrældir. Aminala had done great damage to the League and the human world, so it was his debt to repay now. Nrældir was to serve until the King felt that debt repaid. This was the new fate for Nrældir. Not an exception to the rules, but an indebted Altantean to the surface world.

Traits

Atlantean Physiology Atlanteans, although Human, have through scientific and sorcerous means developed several abilities which allow them to live comfortably under the sea:

Underwater breathing:

All Atlanteans are capable of surviving the aquatic atmosphere under the sea. Some accomplish this without the presence of visible gills.

Temperature resilience:

Resistant to low temperatures and the effects of freezing, although notably hindered by high temperatures.

Durability:

Dense flesh, although not invulnerable.

Strength:

Ranging from undetected levels to Super strength.

Toxin resistance:

Nrældir has a partial immunity to poisons of sea creatures, such as jellyfish toxin.

Metahuman Genome Nrældir possesses a slight metahuman alteration to his genome. As Atlanteans are technically humans, this means Nrældir is technically a metahuman. Nrældir is specifically powerful with Hydromancy and possesses the ability to physically shift into a form of pure water. In this form, all of his magical abilities grow exponentially stronger. Additionally, Nrældir has the unique quality of empowering his magic with his emotions.

Abilities

Atlantean sorcery: Nrældir has a natural affinity for Hydromancy and has been formally trained in Atlantean Sorcery. He graduated second in his class, only under the natural prodigy of Aminala. Nrældir was also trained by the forsaken Scholar of Altanean Sorcery known as Jirin, giving him a particularly historical understanding of his magical abilities. Altantean sorcery includes:

Electricity generation:

He has the power to generate electricity from the tattoos on his body, which he can channel through water or use as a direct offense against opponents.

Hydrokinesis:

Nrældir is able to manipulate water to serve any number of uses, e.g. water blasts, whips, waves, shields, or water spouts to lift him into the air. He can manipulate water from a nearby source, like fire hydrants, lakes, etc.. His water blasts are capable of slicing through metal and other materials. Nrældir is capable of creating massive waterspouts, surfing along water and creating immense waves capable of mass destruction.

Hard-water constructs:

Nrældir has the ability to solidify water into a myriad of different weapons for physical attacks.

Combat Prowess Nrældir has been trained from a young age to be proficient in armed and unarmed combat. While he is capable of grappling and brawling, his true skill lies in the versatility of his fluid fighting style by creating various hard-water constructs that then can be electrified. As he can transform into water and even transform individual parts of himself into water, he is difficult to damage directly and nearly impossible to do so while in water.

Combat Tactics Nrældir is no leader, but he is capable of coming up with effective, on-the-fly strategies for combat. Trained by his father, Nrældir is specifically in the mindset to analyze his opponent for their weaknesses, then neutralize them. These tactics were developed over years of fighting mutated sea creatures, making this a hunter mentality.

Multilingual Nrældir is capable of fluently speaking English and any Latin-based languages (Spanish, Italian, French) as well as understanding Greek and Latin (part of Altantean culture). He can effectively read Mandarin Chinese as well.

Strong Will Due to his extensive time being trained by his father as a soldier as well as his lifetime of coping with emotional disturbances, Nrældir has an exceptionally strong will. This was proven evident in his ability to overcome Aminala, whom arguably was the greater sorcerer in regards to controlling him in his aquatic form.

Weaknesses

Water Reliance As with most Atlanteans, Nrældir requires to be around or near water to utilize most of his real strengths. This is specifically true for his Atlantean Sorcery.

Aquatic Form Limitations The aquatic form Nrældir can take drains his life force. While this doesn't have long-term effects, it can kill him or leave him dangerously exhausted. Minor uses such as shifting out for an ability are negligible, but doing so repeatedly through the course of a battle can prove problematic. The use of Magic in this form accelerates this process. Lastly, Nrældir requires sufficient space to physically reform. Without this space, he simply cannot reform. If contained for too long, he can revert into a potentially lethal catatonic state. If the water is ever separated while he is inert, he will die. However, a magical charge could otherwise bring him new life.

Slight Sexism While Nrældir still loves Aminala and Lily to a lesser extent, he has a general disdain for women. There are exceptions, such as Wonder Woman, but most women simply make him irritable.

Disdain of Relationships Nrældir dislikes the concepts of relationships, specifically between superheroes. He will become irate and physically disgusted at flamboyant portrayals of intimacy around him.

Emotional Instability While he has a strong will, there are specific triggers that can set him off. For instance, red-hair can give him flashbacks to Aminala. This instability ties into his slight sexism and disdain of relationships. His abilities and magic can become considerably weaker if he loses this control and his focus as a warrior can drop. On the other hand, he can harness these traits to empower himself, but he first has to realize what is happening for that to happen.
