CREATION GUIDE

PLEASE INCLUDE |
Reference Image | Name | Age | Sexuality | Personality | History | Physical Attributes | Written description and/or photos of their studios/rooms.

CODING | If you have the skills, or want to borrow a template from someone, feel free to- but I'm not going to judge your coding abilities unless your post is unreadable.

PERSONALITIES | You can either do these in bullet points, paragraph(s), or both. Please reference the traits I mentioned in the outlines below. I really want the characters to have some contrast. That being said, don't feel confined by my descriptions either. I want you to have fun and freedom while creating your character. If it strays too far from the outline, I'll let you know.

BACKGROUNDS | Most of our characters have been living together for years. They probably have exes, tragic shared experiences, best friends, enemies, and crushes within the group. After we get our characters written up, I'd like to take a minute to spice up their histories together. We'll do this in the OOC.

SLOTS | I'm not going to make my selections until I close the character sheet page, so don't feel like you have to rush the process. If two or more people apply for the same character, and I have a hard time deciding which one I like better, I may create another slot as to involve both users. If I don't end up utilizing your character right away, don't be sad- there's always opportunity later on if someone needs to drop the RP.

REFERENCE IMAGES | Drawn. This doesn't have to be "anime" necessarily, but no real photos please.

POWERS | These are negotiable. If the basic idea I laid out sparks a series of ideas from you, use them! Either send me a PM about the idea(s), or I'll review it after you post your sheet.

LIKES/DISLIKES | These are also negotiable, and we'll probably end up switching these around as our characters take form.

GENDERS | I'm not too worried about there being a perfect balance, but I'd be more inclined to accept a male character if there's already six female characters applied (or vise versa). Feel free to create NB or trans characters too- the sky's the limit.

REPURPOSING CHARACTERS | Do you already have a character you could envision in this RP? Go ahead and use them. I reuse characters constantly, otherwise I feel like I'm diluting the same idea over and over. I have a handful of characters I know I love writing as, and take advantage of that. You can definitely do the same.

THE COOP | and other locations

THE CRAFTER'S CO-OP

The Crafter's Co-op boasts six stories. With large glass block windows and high ceilings, the place has an open feel akin to most studios. The floors are all concrete, so many occupants invest in rugs or mats. Each unit feels like it's own space, as customization is common. Living spaces also serve as studios, so it's up to the member what ratio of work/live space they want. If you're friends with the Woodworker, he's willing to build in shelves, loft beds, and any other custom feature. Ceilings are lined with pipes and vents that often clatter and buzz. The building nests an indoor courtyard populated with a small fountain, sitting area, and a collection of plants. There's an intercom wired throughout the building in case of emergency.

Housing artisans and crafters, most of the objects are handmade throughout the co-op.

STREET LEVEL | The street level is occupied by store fronts, each run by members of the co-op. You can find any type of hand made object or services on the block. Each store is infused with the energy of the owner and bring in varying volumes of business. There's a garage fit for a handful of cars, meaning most members have to carpool to a location.

FLOORS 2 & 3 | The second and third floors house the newer members, and offer smaller rooms - ranging from 300-400 square feet. Bathrooms are shared- two on each floor. There's a wall of sinks, stalls, and lockable showers. There's a large kitchen (and pantry) for both floors on the third story, although most units offer a compact kitchenette (mini fridge, convection oven, small sink, and a few feet of counter space.)

FLOORS 4 & 5 |
These floors house the senior members, and can range anywhere from 600-700 square feet. Each unit has it's own kitchen, bathroom, and enough space to distinguish studio and living spaces. Depending on the owner, these can feel elegant and upscale. Storage for weapons and crafting materials are housed on the fourth floor.

FLOORS 6 | Floor six is locked. It belongs to the Painter and nobody really goes up there. It's pretty quiet so most assume it's extra storage.

OTHER NOTABLE LOCATIONS

WEATHERED WARES | Practical clothing and survival gear. If you need a few flares and a warm jacket, they have you covered.

WATERMILL ROASTERS | A quiet coffee shop two blocks over. It's a great place to go if you need some time away from work.

SECOND ROUND SUPPLY CO. | A cheap secondhand shop for crafting supplies and furniture. Their products are fine once you brush the dust off.

THERAPY | A favorite bar of the members. They usually give a neighborhood half off discount on drinks, and have live music a few times a week.

STELLA'S DRUG & GROCERY | The closest grocery store. Most members go here instead of traveling the extra distance to a chain store.

This also goes for street lamps, power lines, ect.). This character's weaknesses lie in their ability to communicate with their teammates. They are either awkward/shy or just antisocial. AVERY MAUNTELL | the psychic

GENDER | Male
AGE | 23
SEXUALITY | Bisexual

HISTORY |
Growing up, Avery's life orbited an intense focus on logic and realism. There was little room for imagination or play in his childhood, as his parents were both highly successful and expected the same of him. He was kept from socializing with families his parent didn't approve of, and was often told he was above his peers and classmates. This made him a cold and unfriendly child who only made friends through his parent's connections and wealth. Teachers often sent home letters concerned with his lack of participation with coloring and singing, as he refused to join things he though were childish or silly.

This mattered less as he entered high school and became better at socializing. Avery had a wide net of friends and the studying and pressure from his family paid off in terms of his grades. Things were looking up. He often views this as his pinnacle, as he had no doubt where his life was headed. He had ambitions to be an architect, with a brain keen and wired for mathematic measurements and the steady logic of structures. He knew his success depended on his reputation, so he constantly calculated how his actions affected how he was viewed. Avery was careful to be seen with the right people and act in the right way - never letting the illusion slip.

This came crashing down after he began having hallucinations and waking dreams throughout the day. Without warning he would experience things that happened minutes, days, or even weeks ago. Even worse, he'd experience brief inklings of what was about to occur, and these would come true without fail. This was something he tried to ignore at first, but it quickly began affecting his ability to focus and solve problems. It felt like his brain was liquifying in his head and he couldn't explain why. Eventually, he brought this to his family, hoping for a reasonable and sympathetic response. Instead, they accused him of drug use and chastened him for the issues. Word seeped into the school and his reputation quickly deteriorated along with his mental state. The stress was too much, and ironically, led him to befriend the kids who partied and became the reputation people were giving him.

After his parents cut him off financially he traveled from his home in Germany to travel across Europe in a drug fueled haze. Eventually running low on funds, he bought a ticket to America on a whim, not knowing what was waiting for him there. Meeting and enlisting the services of Tessa, the Herbalist, he grew more comfortable with his promotions and adjusted to his new lifestyle. Predicting freak accident, he saved Tessa from a near death experience and opened up to her about what he'd been experiencing. From there, he was taken under the wing of the Crafter's Co op.

Viewing it as a second chance, Avery took the his role at the co op extremely seriously - engrossed with being the best and every mission and proving his worth. It didn't take long for him to rise through the ranks, becoming a figure of authority within the organization.

He runs a psychic reading and tarot shop, only pulling in a handful of customers due to his lack of advertising. Avery mostly utilizes the space for personal use. His shop has a dark front, framed with vines and old plants. There are a series of gold engravements lining the sidewalk out front, boasting runes, symbolics animals, and references to tarot arcana. Entering the shop, it couldn't be a further contrast from his personal living space. The main area is indented into the floor, creating a comforting alcove. The walls are a deep blue, and pasted with mirrors and various artifacts. Cushions crowd the floor, making way for a single table towards the back. Shelves balance countless books, crystals, runes, and other objects. It smells like incense and cinnamon.

PERSONALITY |

Avery leads the group with an iron grip. He's intense and serious, not the type to laugh or smile for the sake of social politeness. His reputation means everything to him, so he avoids any expression of weakness or immaturity. That isn't to say he's without his outbursts, as he's been know to yell at members who're causing disturbances or not taking the job seriously. Trying to fit the image of perfection makes his mistakes more prominent. You either think he's deserving of respect, or completely conceited.

Avery's disapproval of boisterous or loud activities gets him some negative feelings from his peers. He's smart when it comes to controlling a situation, but not when it comes to sympathizing. His dedication to professionalism keeps him from spilling the secrets of his peers.

The handful of people he's grown close to get buried in his emotional baggage. He doesn't express himself enough, so when it rains it pours. Any questions about his past are met with hostility, as he'd prefer not to talk about the wild years he'd spent on the streets. He's afraid that wandering from his values will lead him the same path.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES |

Avery stands on the shorter side, hovering around five foot seven, but makes up for his height with a stronger build. He speaks with a nearly unnoticeable german accent that shows up more when he's distracted. He smells like cologne, but will deny wearing any if you ask him about it. He dyes his hair blue, but doesn't care enough about it to maintain it properly, so the roots are usually his natural dark color. He rubs the end of his nose when he's annoyed, which is often.

RELATIONSHIPS |

James: Avery can't pretend to understand James or his ways of thinking. As someone who values fast action and straightforwardness, Avery often feels the urge to (and sometimes does) shake James when he doesn't respond to his inquiries. He values the security James brings to the co op, but wishes he would be more engaged during meetings and missions.

Tessa: Tessa, being Avery's first impression of the co op, avoids the full brunt of his frustrations by being his lifeline if he needs something to relax at the end of the day. He knows better than to fully trust her mischievous ways, but knows she can be relied on under pressure.

Sunny: Avery's relationship with Sunny is, at best, a complicated mess. He met his idol in an unexpected way, witnessing her being attacked after one of her shows. It quickly became clear that she didn't need the help, and he recruited her into the co op. The two dated for a long period before Avery discovered Sunny's motive to use him to climb ranks. Since then, it's palatably awkward between the two.

Rod: Avery appreciates Rod's ability to keep Chance stable, although he often gets caught in the crossfire when Avery tries to keep the later in line. He keeps Rod busy with weapon orders and can be demanding of his abilities.

Eli: Avery thinks Eli belongs more in a barn than at the co op, daydreaming of kicking him out after every episode of his dirty animals causing chaos. He doesn't try to hide his distain and often blames any bad luck on Eli.

Claire: As one of the newer members, Avery doesn't trust Claire quite yet. He's quick to put her loyalty to the test and keeps tabs on her actions. After all, you can't be too careful.

Luna: With the weight of his responsibilities laying heavy, Avery often finds himself complaining to Luna about the drama and stress of running the co op. He trusts her to not fuck up missions, and tends to send her on the most important ones.

Alright guys - here it is. I'm likely going to flesh out my character sheet and make it prettier later, but I wanted to get things rolling. Message me if you have any questions, and I'll have a discord up shortly within the first post.

I'm considering adding in a creepy ass taxidermist character and/or a tattoo artist to generate more slots, but I need a break real quick.

Name:
Chancellor Valeska

Nickname:

Chance

Age:

25

Sexuality:

Pansexual

Personality:

Chancellor is the dorky, big brother figure of the group.
Usually, he’s very boyish and fun. He has a great sense of humour and is generally nice to be around. He cracks jokes in serious situations and lives to cheer people up (albeit in a questionable way.) He loves to poke fun at his peers and mess with them.
Sure, he’s as arrogant and hot headed as the devil but that’s not his greatest flaw.
The man is the embodiment of a time bomb. He holds in all his pent up rage until he finally loses it. He has serious anger issues and has a tendency to lash out.
He is by far the most unpredictable in the group.
The help of his best friend, Rod, is the only thing that keeps him from spiralling.

History:

Chancellor was born in a small town in Russia. His family moved to the US when he was 4. That was around the time they noticed something off about him. As he grew up, Chancellor constantly got into fights. He was a rowdy and explosive child who had a real problem with authority figures. However, he was still a good kid. He had good grades, a group of friends and a bubbly, extroverted personality.
It was his early teens when there really was a problem. Chancellor lashed out at his friends and family, skipped school and trashed his room in fits of rage. His father would always come home to scorch marks on the walls and the tables on fire.
One day, while swinging back and forth on the creaky metal swing of the local park, Chancellor tried to force himself to stifle his anger. No matter how much he thought happy thoughts, it was only fuel for the fire.
Just as he lost all hope, a throat was cleared next to him. It was a boy his age. They introduced themselves as Rod. As soon as he laid eyes on him, Chancellor didn't feel angry anymore. He didn't know if it was the softness of his voice or his cool demeanour but something about Rod made him feel calm. They became fast friends, doing everything together. They grew up never leaving each other's sides. Noone had ever thought such polar opposites could connect quite like they did.

They eventually each found a passion that perfectly complemented each other. Chancellor had a love for glass blowing and Rod had a love of blacksmithing. It wasn't long before Chancellor was kicked out. Why? His father had deemed him a freak and had completely cut him off. Both him and Rod moved out of their home town.
After opening shops, the two met the Psychic, who had recently become acquainted with the herbalist and introduced them. They were scooped up by the Co-op soon after.
They both lease an apartment to split the rent. Ever since their fight, a tape border has been placed to separate them.

Physical attributes:

-Chancellor dyes his hair red (He always calls upon Rod to help him with the back)
-He stands at 6 feet and 2 inches.
-He has a hint of Russian accent that becomes very prominent when he's angry
-His eyes are a startling bright shade of Amber that seems to be yellow in the right light
-He has five metal teeth as he has lost many in fights over the years (They were begrudgingly made by Rod)
-He has multiple burn marks of various sizes all over his body

Shop:

kidsfdskjdjdsd.jpg

Studio:
Located on the fifth floor
kdkskksk.jpg
kgfdkkfk.jpg

In all the rooms, there are glass light fixtures hanging from the ceiling.
ikfgdkdfj.jpg

Relationships:

Psychic- Chancellor doesn't like Avery's serious attitude and they clash regularly especially during missions.
The carver- Fire. Wood. It was doomed from the start.
The metal smith- Rod is Chancellor's closest friend and the person he regularly vents to. They are Currently fighting over an incident with the hair dye.

Powers/ Abilities:
Chance can summon fire to his hands and light things ablaze from a distance. He always carries a bottle of gasoline holstered on his thigh to help spread the fire if needed.
His powers are largely influenced by his emotions. His hands tend to crackle and pop when he's annoyed. When he's seriously mad, random things tend to set on fire around him.
During missions, Chance uses his power mostly to intimidate, trap and injure enemies and is usually the first sent to the scene. Though he cannot directly light someone on fire, he pours Gasoline on enemies and lights that ablaze. He has only done this a handful of times and only as a complete last resort.
During day to day use, Chance mostly uses his fire to:
-annoy the carver
-light cigarettes
-melt glass
-light Rod’s kiln

He is very athletic and a fast runner. He is talented at hand-to-hand combat.
However, he is mostly used for long range as his anger gets the better of him in physical fights.
Any brawl he is in ends in serious injuries for the other party.
The team sends him in for close range when they really need the enemy to get hurt.

Other quirks/ notes:
-he smokes constantly
-he tends to burnt team members wounds if the herbalist is busy
-He regards the younger members as little siblings
-He plays with his fire to calm him down. (When Rod’s not around to calm him down.)
-He has ODD and is on the sociopathic spectrum
-his favourite songs are:
bury a friend by billie eilish
play with fire by sam tinniesz
riot by hollywood undead
(These songs reflect his character so I recommend you listen to them or google the lyrics if you want to know more about him.)
-when he’s hot, he walks around with his shirt off with little regard for public decency

[div class="metadata"] [div class="slash"]/[/div][div class="asterisk"]*[/div]APPEARANCE[div class="filler"]--[/div] [/div] [div class="p"] James stands at a lanky 176cm (around 5'9"), though he appears smaller due to his slouch and oversized clothes. He favors chunky sweaters, hoodies and turtlenecks as he hates being cold. They're always on the darker neutral side, paired with dark skinny jeans and worn down sneakers. He almost perpetually has headphones slung around his neck, and puts them on in the hopes people get the message that he does not want to interact at all. [/div] [div class="p"] Frequently pulling all nighters, he has what seem like permanent eyebags. His skin is natural pale, only made worse by the fact he rarely goes outside. When in front of his computer, he often wears his glasses, though prefers taking them off when having to speak with others. [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div] [div class="tabcontent personal personalpos"] [div class="tabtitlebar"] [div class="brackets"]【 [/div] [div class="tabtitle"]PERSONAL[/div] [div class="brackets"]】[/div] [/div] [div class="scrollarea"] [div class="scrollbox"] [div class="metadata"] [div class="slash"]/[/div][div class="asterisk"]*[/div]PERSONALITY[div class="filler"]--[/div] [/div] [div class="p"] The first word that people think of when describing James is rude. Greetings are often ignored, if not met with outright dismissal, while attempts attempts at conversation frequently result in failure. A solitary figure, it's rare for him to leave his quarters outside of meeting clients for work. Even then, those interactions are brief. He's concise about what he needs and expects others to be the same way. Anything extra is quickly ignored and don't be surprised to find him walking away from anything he doesn't deem of import. [/div] [div class="p"] The programmer is someone whose single-minded focus is probably his strongest trait. It's near-impossible to break his concentration once he's absorbed. When he's engrossed, he forgets to do everything else. Eating, sleeping, showering - basic human functions are forgotten when he has an algorithm he needs to solve. [/div] [div class="p"] If he could do everything himself, he would. Some might call it a fierce independent streak. Others would simply call him distrustful. They're both right. Cooperation isn't something that comes naturally to him. It doesn't help he has a bad tendency to bite off more than he can chew. Pride prevents him from admitting it, even if he can recognize his mistakes. [/div] [div class="p"] It wouldn't be far-fetched to say that he has no real friends. Frankly, the closest relationship James has is with his computer, which he painstakingly built from scratch. He finds people too troublesome and untrusthworthy, past experiences coloring his view of others. There's no point in putting effort into things that will never return it. [/div]

[div class="metadata"] [div class="slash"]/[/div][div class="asterisk"]*[/div]HISTORY[div class="filler"]--[/div] [/div] [div class="p"] James is the only child of two well-known researchers. Both could explain to you high level physics and chemistry concepts, but neither knew anything about raising a child. As a result, James grew up being treated as an adult. He was expected to behave with maturity and his decisions to be governed by logical reasoning. Misbehaving was met with not firm discipline, but with words of disappoinment. Though he knew what to do and how to act, there was a lack of understanding on why it was like that. There were rare moments of affection, but they were always in conjunction with affirmation. Never as a random gesture of familial love. [/div] [div class="p"] This set a precedent for James to actively seek validation from outside sources. It was escarbated by the fact that he met everyone's expectations almost flawlessly. Academic excellence isn't a hereditary trait, but one would think so looking at how the Nats' child blew through his educational career. He might've been named a genius, but he still tried his best to gain affirmation from those around him. It was ingrained in him that his effort would always be rewarded equally. This belief extended towards people and his relationships with them. [/div] [div class="p"] He finished high school two years early, entering university at sixteen. That was his first taste of freedom, and his first real development emotionally. James made his first friends here. People he invested his time and effort to, who he genuinely thought would return the favor when the time came. Amongst them was Odette, a TA whom he'd grown particularly close to. Everything was going fine - until he got a call from his parents' workplace. [/div] [div class="p"] A freak accident in the lab killed his mother, while rendering his father disabled. But that wasn't the tragedy. There was mourning, but it was brief, especially from his father. More than losing his wife, his father was more frustrated about the program being shut down. He ignored the accomplishments his son would bring home from uni, instead talking about the loss of his passion. James motivated himself by thinking of his mother, telling himself he was working hard to make her proud. [/div] [div class="p"] That became his single-minded focus. He began ignoring the friends he'd made, choosing to spend the time studying or focusing on projects. Even his professors were worried, telling him to take a break. But for every person that told him that, Odette told him to keep going. James believed she was the only one who really understood him. But being 3 years older, she graduated and left, dropping contact altogether. He was alone. And that was when he realized that he'd been used - everytime they'd been together, it was always to ask for help for something or other. And now that she'd graduated, there was no longer any use for him. [/div] [div class="p"] The same went for his mother. He'd tried so hard for her, but it wasn't as if she would come back from the dead. His father too; he'd never been invested the same way James had once devoted himself to him. No one had ever returned the effort he'd given to him. Reality was a bitter pill to swallow, and it made James bitter himself. He dove into his studies soon after, working on his thesis ahead of time. [/div] [div class="p"] It was a design for a security system, and in one of his bouts of frustrations, typed "front-door: lock;" as a pseudocode. He was testing on his own dorm room. But when his dormmates began yelling that the main door to the dorm couldn't be opened with the key, he began thinking there was something else at work. He began fiddling with the discovery, eventually realizing that his code applied to real life. [/div] [div class="p"] He left university soon after, using the money intended for his tuition to fund his own ventures. James sold himself as a behind-the-scenes security expert. James gained a reputation for exploiting the security weaknesses of any given website or connection, and then selling the solution to it. This eventually extended to building security systems. [/div] [div class="p"] His first big job was going to wind up his last as an individual. Hired by a local figure to design his building's security system, James thought it was his best work yet. Not a week after, a group of individuals he would eventually learn as the coop would raid the place, putting his abilities and powers to the test. [/div] [div class="p"] The group failed that day, but soon after James got a message asking for his services. Another building security, this time for a place called the Crafter's Co-op. Upon arriving at the location, he quickly realized he'd been duped, even as Sunny tried to dress the situation up. But there wasn't much he could do; between the subtle threats and lowkey coercing on the singer's side, he found himself living amongst them. [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div] [div class="tabcontent coop cooppos"] [div class="tabtitlebar"] [div class="brackets"]【 [/div] [div class="tabtitle"]COOP[/div] [div class="brackets"]】[/div] [/div] [div class="scrollarea"] [div class="scrollbox"] [div class="metadata"] [div class="slash"]/[/div][div class="asterisk"]*[/div]STUDIO[div class="filler"]------[/div] [/div] [div class="p"] Most James' room is a mess. No two ways about it. A mattress on the floor serves as his bed, while the rest of the space serves as workspace. Several computers are propped haphazardly atop desks, while work in progress devices are on the floor below it. It could be that the room is too small for him, but the reality is that he just doesn't care much for his living quarters. [/div] [div class="p"]

[div class="metadata"] [div class="slash"]/[/div][div class="asterisk"]*[/div]STOREFORNT[div class="filler"]--[/div] [/div] [div class="p"] There isn't much to say about James' storefront, as he's rarely there. Most of his clients are online. A simple sign in front states the name of his business, 'Protocol'. Printed on the glass is his contact information. Behind the blinds is a simple office set-up, with a desk and two chairs for consultations. [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div]

age: 22
role: herbalist
sexuality: demisexual

appearance: she has jet black hair, though she likes to experiment with wigs and could often be seen wearing her bubblegum pink one. standing at five foot one (and a half), she has a lithe, athletic frame from her days as a gymnast which she maintained throughout the years. she has various scars on her left arm from testing some of her earlier prototypes on her own skin. her closet mostly consist of sweaters with long sleeves that partially cover her hands, leggings and worn-out sneakers, with a few dresses and skirts here and there. she can never be seen without her asymmetrical grey hoodie when she goes out, either worn or tied around her waist.

persona:
personality: despite appearances, she tends to possess a mischievous streak as she likes to play tricks on the other residents, occasionally mixing some of her concoctions into their food and drinks. she's independent and stubborn to a point that she wouldn't accept help, even if she really needs it. she could be a good listener if she really wanted to be, however she's rather straightforward, pointing out things and generally speaking her mind whenever she could. she also has a tendency of wandering off on her own, when she's not working. she's observant and rather inquisitive, not really taking much to tickle her interest so much so that she would ask questions until her curiosity has been satisfied but if she was the one on the receiving end of the questions, she would either clam up with a small smile or just change the topic altogether.

when it comes to serious matters, she tones down her playful demeanor and actually pays attention to what people have to say. she would hold her tongue and keep her opinions to herself unless it was completely solicited.

once her energy has been expended, she resigns into a quiet person who would rather keep to her own company. she would busy herself with tending to her herb garden or just stay in her room, formulating recipes for different mixtures.

likes: sweets, tea, cooking, smoking, gymnastics, pulling (mostly) harmless pranks.

dislikes: spicy foods, coffee, getting called short, being touched out of the blue.
[/div] [div class="tabsContent tabsContentAbout" style="display: none;"]
biography:
herstory: when she was young, gymnastics were her life. she would oftentimes spend her afternoons, training for upcoming competitions. she enjoyed the strain on her body and the rush of adrenaline filling up her system, even if she doesn't always come home as the winner, she knew she did her best and that was enough for her.

things fell into a standstill when she injured herself during practice for the high school regionals. she lost her balance on the beam and broke her arm in an awkward landing which put her out of commission for the rest of the season. her mother was a nurse so she was in good hands in the hospital and her friends at school were supportive, helping with her notes and such. however, by the time she got her cast off and finished therapy for her arm, the team had already moved on without her so she was forced to quit the team.

she was initially sad about it, feeling like a piece of who she is was swept from under her feet when she stumbled upon the school greenhouse. she was fascinated by the wide spectrum of the plants and how they could be used to cure people. with that thought, she decided to make use of her recently open schedule to learn all there is to them and help around whenever she could, eventually coming into experimentation once she was confident enough. there was one time she cut her finger on a pair of scissors while she was pruning and out of sheer curiosity (maybe a little bit of recklessness), she dipped her finger into her mixture, only to quickly draw it back once she felt a burning sensation and watched in amazement as her skin began to mend itself right in front of her eyes, leaving no trace. she wanted to tell her friends about it but she felt like they wouldn't believe her so she decided to keep it a secret.

everything had been going fine and dandy until one fateful night pushed her off her tipping point and forced her to run away from everything. her thoughts consumed her and she just wanted to forget to the point that she would drink her regrets away but when it stopped working fast enough for her, she began taking drugs. eventually, the aftereffects began to weigh on her productivity so she made her own blends and dealt some to those who could offer a good enough price for her. eventually, she was approached by the coop, and although a bit hesitant, she took a leap and joined.

relationships:

» the psychic › she feels indebted to avery for saving her life back then, though she finds his ability a little intimidating, so she doesn't pull much of her usual tricks on him out of a modicum of respect.

» the programmer › james' apathy tickles her interest, so she's constantly looking for new ways to rile him up.

» the metalsmith › rod got in the way of her fun one too many times so she doesn't particularly like him very much, however with the current turn of events, her dislike had dwindled to a mild annoyance.

» the taxidermist › she's generally nice to eli, though not to the point of being close friends. she occasionally steals his cat, just because she can.

» the singer › she finds sunny a little bit too much at times but treats her as a friend of sorts, with some additional perks.

» the carver › with luna being a willing subject that also provides her for her sugar fix from time to time, she likes her well enough.

» the glassblower › she's currently playing actual nurse to chance, and is ridden with guilt from not being to able to help him.

» the street performer › the two of them get along just fine and she occasionally tags along in claire's marvelous misadventures when curiosity gets the better of her.

“Though your chains may be wrought of finest gold, they are chains all the same.”

Born and raised at the heart of Korea, Jung Sunhee is the only daughter of a tremendously wealthy man with his beloved wife who died during childbirth. The tragic incident caused Sunny’s father to become somewhat bitter about her existence and his detachment to his child has always lingered even after he remarried a few years later. Nonetheless, his riches provided her with everything she either could ever need or want. Because of these, Sunny grew up into a spoiled young girl who’s used to getting her way all the time.

With a problematic attitude and selfish personality such as hers, Sunny’s high school life is far from ordinary. Her personality, looks, status and voice all worked together to make everyone bow their heads in front of her. She was the prom queen, the teenage daydream, living the life of everybody’s dreams until tragedy struck one more time and rid her of her father along with his riches.

Everything went downhill after her father died. His second wife inherited everything because Sunny was barely 15 and hasn’t even finished high school. After a heated argument with her stepmother when she was 18, she ran away from home and flew off to New York. There, she discovered her special talent. It was like she found the missing piece of a puzzle she has been trying to complete for years. It was amazing how she could make a complete stranger dance around her dainty little fingers simply by the help of her voice.

Sunny took advantage of her talent and entered the music industry where she gained everything she has ever wanted: attention. Her name spread like wildfire within a year. However, fame comes with flames. A group of obsessed fans cornered her into a dark alley right after a performance and that was when she met [the Psychic]. After witnessing Sunny manipulating the attackers into fighting themselves, Avery offered her a position in the [Co-Op] to which she agreed, curious to find others who are gifted just like her. She is currently living at the fifth floor of the Co-Op as a well-known singer.

[div class=zfont]Relationships[/div]

The Psychic - Avery Mauntell; He was the one who recruited Sunny into the crew. The singer met him when she was ambushed by obsessive fans in a dark alley after a concert. After witnessing her supernatural prowess over mind, the psychic invited her to join the Co-Op to which she agreed. Sunny, fully aware of the man's affection towards her, pursued a relationship with him which lasted for more than a year. The two of them recently broke up due to unknown reasons.

The Glassblower - Chancellor Valeska has always struck Sunny as a fascinating young man. She can't deny that she found him hot (no pun intended) ever since she first laid her eyes on him, however, she made no move towards him- at least until her relationship with Avery fell off. She jumped in a relationship with Chance a month after the break up.

The Carver - Luna Saunders is probably one of the few people whom Sunny can truly count as a friend. The two girls befriended one another through Avery, and they remained friends despite the messy break up between her and him. The singer likes getting sculptures of herself made by Luna and would often seek her out for personal commissions. Although she doesn't say it out loud, Sunny appreciates that Luna's always there for her to confide on.

The Herbalist - Theresa Bennett; Although it is true that Sunny found her weird and creepy at first (and she still does sometimes), the two of them are actually friends- with certain benefits involved. The singer befriended the herbalist at first so that she won't become a part of her worrying experiments.

The Programmer - James Nats is easily the man she least understand in the Co-op. Sunny thinks that his aloof nature shrouds him with mystery and, needless to say, it piques her interest. She's aware that the programmer dislikes (maybe even hates) everyone in the Coop, but she's convinced he thinks she's the only sane one in the crew.

The Metalsmith - Rodger Solveig, with his hulking figure and metals, felt like danger to Sunny at least until she realized that he was the Co-op's very own Big Friendly Giant. She thinks that he is reliable and she finds it easy to ask him favors. However, she felt like Rod is her greatest competition when it comes to Chance's attention.

The Taxidermist - Elijah Finley; Sunny avoids him like the plague. She thinks that he's "the super weird and creepy barn boy who pollutes the air with chemicals." Avery's attitude towards him definitely didn't help to influence hers in a positive light. Nonetheless, she likes his wolf friend Duke but she won't admit that. [/div]

NAME: Rodger Solveig
NICKNAME: Rod; the iron giant
ROLE: The Metalsmith

GENDER: Male
AGE: 25
SEXUALITY: Bisexual

HISTORY:
Rodger's family was a group of Swedish immigrants who settled in the United States six months before he was born. He was always a quiet child; too quiet, some said. In his grade-school years, he seldom said much unless someone asked him a question. Some children took the silence as a sign of weakness, but soon found it was far from this. A simple haymaker was all it took to cement a menacing reputation. From that day forth, nobody bothered him and vice versa.

One day, he met a particularly rowdy classmate: Chancellor Valeska. In a bizarre moment, Rodger Solveig decided to speak without anyone speaking to him first. His words flowed freely, and the two seemed to bond, making what many saw as either an unholy alliance or a real blessing.

After going into their respective trades, they still remained close, often collaborating and even living together. Rod was moving away from home around the time Chance was kicked out, so the two agreed to rent an apartment. However, a matter of pride caused a major disagreement that has been a headache for almost a month now. The cause was simple: Rod spilled a liberal amount of hair dye on one of his few pristine shirts while touching up Chance’s roots, while also staining the fiery glassblower’s back blood red. Rod is having trouble apologizing, claiming Chance made a sudden move.

As a member of the Co-op, Rod has forged dozens of items conducive to their efforts. Every member has at least one bracelet that shapeshifts into a razor-sharp stiletto. Mission-critical items tend to be crafted as needed.

PERSONALITY:
Rod is all smiles on most days. He finds his profession highly therapeutic. The stable beat of hammering metal soothes his nerves, and giving brings him a degree of selfless joy. Among his Co-op peers, his charity knows no bounds; all jobs for them are either heavily discounted or absolutely free; this courtesy is extended even to the programmer, one of his least favourite people in the world. He is steadfast in his ways and, like a sturdy iron fence, doesn’t budge. While he doesn’t always make jokes, he is swift to understand and laugh at them. His idea of expressing love is very physical; he sees no problem with hugging mere acquaintances, let alone long-time friends, lovers, and colleagues.

Chancellor is one of the few people in the world who bring out an especially lively streak in Rod. One goofy theory claims the former cool off by breathing fire into the latter’s soul. This proverbial fire keeps Rod motivated. Because of the strong bond, he finds himself making metal pieces to exclusively complement his friend’s glass products. He tries to hold his friend back from making risky decisions, which doesn’t always work. If Chance can’t be dissuaded, then he will merely provide backup so the consequences are dulled or at least redistributed; he finds suffering isn’t as bad when he’s not alone in a situation and figures it’s a mutual feeling.

The recent bitterness has robbed him of several nights’ sleep and a lot of inspiration. Rod seems exhausted, troubled, and spacy because it weighs on his mind. He wants nothing more than to mend the bond torn by pride, albeit on his terms. The fact that he does argue is a sign that he still cares about his friend’s wellbeing, in spite of the petty matter.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES:
Rod comes off as an archetypal modern Viking, with his hulking 6’5 frame. He generally leaves his shoulder-length blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, with a few stray locks of hair streaming down in his face. His beard is well-trimmed, just long enough to be noticeable. Gentle, rounded, baby-blue eyes are set in his head beneath a defined brow ridge that sometimes shadows them. Rod’s right ear is adorned with several piercings, while his left hand is decorated with a ring on each finger except his thumb. These adornments transform into various brawler-type weapons. Most of his clothing is torn in some way from minor accidents when transforming his accessories. He also has a scar on his left forearm, from popping molten metal.

A faint Scandinavian accent is barely noticeable on those seldom occasions he does get cross. His voice is surprisingly dynamic, ranging from his usual soft tone to a bloodcurdling roar.

"an animal's eyes have the power to speak a great language."
[/div][/div]
» BASIC INFORMATION;
Name: Elijah Finley
Nickname: Eli
Role: The Taxidermist
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Who knows?
Physical Attributes: Eli is rather pale, with light blonde hair to match. He has tired eyes and a rather ethereal demeanor. A light dusting of freckles cover his arms, accompanied by some rather rough-looking, claw-shaped scars. There's somehow always dirt (or some other substance...) under his fingernails. It's obvious he cares very little about his outward appearance, because his hair and clothes are often a bit of a mess. He stands at 5'8", but does tend to slouch a bit. His Appalachian accent tends to bleed through when he speaks, and in true country fashion, he's not too fond of wearing shoes.

» HISTORY;
Elijah grew up on the outskirts of a small Appalachian town. He dwelled in a solitary cabin in the mountains with his grandfather, a hunter, for as long as he could remember. His grandfather taught him from home, and while they would venture into town for supplies, his exposure to the world outside of the mountains was sparse.

Once he was old enough, his grandfather would take him out hunting with him--an activity he came to loathe. Animal trophies filled their tiny cabin, and while most may be a bit unnerved staring a corpse in the face, Eli grew up thinking of them as his friends. When he expressed his displeasure hunting to his grandfather, the man began to teach him the art of preserving the bodies, something he often did and sold to townsfolk. Eli took to the craft rather well, not the slightest bit unnerved by the material. On the day he finished his first project, an elegant fox, he could have sworn the animal came to life and growled at him. When he told his grandfather what he had seen, he was missed as having 'spent too long with the chemicals.'

However, when a snarling bobcat woke up and swatted at his arm, leaving behind deep scratches, he could no longer deny what had happened. As he continued his work, he began to discover that he could sometimes control the once-dead creatures, and took to keeping them around as companions for a while before returning them to their original state and giving them up to be sold. His grandfather was rather unnerved by this ability, and took to going out on longer 'hunting trips' and avoiding Eli altogether. When Eli was 18, his grandfather passed away, leaving him alone with his creatures for quite some time. Eventually, he left home, using his grandfather's death as an excuse to finally leave his solitary life. He traveled around the country for quite some time, before, somehow, ending up at the Coop, accompanied by his precious pet cat, Varmint, who, no, has
not ever been deceased.

» PERSONALITY;
Understandably enough, Elijah remains a bit socially stunted due to his upbringing. It's not for lack of trying, he'd love to become close friends with all his peers, but is painfully awkward, on top of the fact that he spends almost all of his time with dead things. He could easily be described as an observer, always present in conversations but not necessarily knowing how to contribute. That being said, he does tend to take things to heart, and if he hears someone mention something offhandedly, he may bring it up weeks later in an attempt to foster relationships. Additionally, he has some holes in his knowledge about the world, and is absolutely not tech-savvy in the least. While he does long to make friends, he's also perfectly content to stay in his room and spend time with his animals.

» STOREFRONT & STUDIO;
Taxidermy not being particularly popular, his shop takes the role as something akin to an antique store, where he sells different items made of animal remains in which he, sadly, could not recover a preservable body. For example (content warning: dead animal bits): x x x x

He lives in a smaller studio on the third floor, not minding the smaller accommodations at all. His entire dwelling is rather cluttered and dark, and the smell of chemicals is a bit too intense for visitors. (Not that he's ever had any). To say he is a bit of a hoarder wouldn't be far from the truth.

» RELATIONSHIPS;
Avery: Eli looks up to Avery and respects his authority. It's not his fault his animals don't. Homeboy's a little desperate to prove himself a valuable member of the team and figures Avery's a good place to start that convincing. He's obviously got a lot of work to do, though.
Chance: Fuckin' R.I.P.
James: While both of them seem to behave like the Coop's resident recluses, the difference is that Eli is a recluse by happenstance and James is a recluse by choice. Almost too reclusive for even Elijah's standards.
Tessa: He likes her well enough. She's one of the few that's nicer to him, but they're not super close.
Sunny: Eli is completely dazzled by her. Definitely thinks she's pretty and talented and that people should be telling her that all the time, but he gets the feeling she doesn't like him very much. All interest in her is 100% platonic.
Rod: Eli respects Rod a lot and admires his work, but is also a little intimidated by him (6' fuckin' 5"!!!!). Strangely enough, the man reminds him of his late grandfather.
Claire: The two of them are pretty cordial, though she often looks very confused any time he tries to talk to her. He likes her birds.
Luna: Friend!!!! A real, living, breathing friend!!!!

History
Claire's early life could be easily summed up as isolated and chaotic.

She was born in Arizona to high school sweethearts that fell into love hard and fast. Her mom was a real estate salesperson, alienated from her family due to her marriage to an unsuccessful man being perceived as a family betrayal. Her father's plans for becoming a Catholic priest were also thwarted by the marriage, and he would later settle to being a deacon and a private tutor in his spare time.

Due to their finances riding on the success of Claire's mom, the small family had difficulty finding stable housing. Several times the couple moved into an apartment, then back again to living with Claire's grandparents. Her job took up much of her time, so often Claire was left in the care of her dad or grandparents.

By the time Claire was four, however, her grandparents started pushing for them to move out for good. They wanted to make serious plans for retirement, and with Claire making a habit of catching and releasing crickets and lizards into the house, she had lost a lot of her charm as their granddaughter. Not to mention, there were more grandchildren on the way.

Claire's mom had already been estranged once from her own family, and now she was feeling the pressure from her in-laws.

The woman doubled down on her job. At the price of spending next to no time with her daughter, Claire's mom was able to comfortably move them into a city apartment and further accelerate her career. Under the assumption this would be a permanent move for the next few years, Claire started kindergarten in the city's public school.

This would be a false assumption, however, as by age five Claire's mom had gotten caught up in a string of affairs with many of her wealthier clients. When questioned about where she was spending her nights, she deflected with complaints of her husband not trusting her enough. It wasn't until a year later that her husband's inquiries were adamant enough that she, with refusal to give any explanation, demanded a divorce.

Claire's mom, being able to afford a much more prestigious lawyer and prove financial stability, won the court's favor. Her mom took dominant custody and Claire's dad moved in with his elder brother. The terms of custody were set that her Claire would be pulled from the public school the next year and would be homeschooled instead, with her father using his tutoring experience to be her own tutor.

Things seemed to stabilize for a little while after that. Claire was able to keep one of her friends from school, a girl in a neighboring apartment complex. The girl's mom worked from home, and so for the time that neither Claire's father nor mother had time to look after her, she would stay over at her friend's house. There were countless sleepovers spent together. During the summer when they stayed up the latest, her friend would talk for hours about the boys from school she'd grow up to marry, while Claire thought to herself about a quiet wedding with the girl across from her.

Her friend's parents, having saved up enough money, bought a house and moved away two years later. Claire's ninth birthday was spent with her new babysitter.

The state of Claire's father was worsening as well. In spite of his newfound single status, the church continued to gently refuse his wanted advances into priesthood. He was stuck as a deacon, still tutoring kids and still living off the wealth of his brother, and on top of that his ex-wife seemed to barely give him the time of day. At first, he began asking Claire questions like how her mom was doing, when she was usually home, if Black Eyed Susans were still her mom's favorite flower.

(Claire very rarely knew the answer to these questions.)

He quickly gave up on that.

Claire's dad had always been a regular drinker in the evenings, but this progressively worsened. For reasons Claire couldn't understand, her lessons from him were becoming shorter and more erratic. While at first she didn't mind the extra time to play with her dad, she did begin to feel a sense of slipping in her own studies, and her own curiosity drove her to direct herself in learning new things.

When for the first time Claire's dad failed to show up to tutor her at all, Claire began building a shabby bat house, which she would later sit on the small porch of their apartment. (As they were in the city, the house was too small, and the porch was far from an ideal spot to begin with, the only visitors the house regularly got was Claire and the droppings of passing grackles.) When possible, Claire would ask to be taken to the library, where she would pick both fantasy novels and do-it-yourself books for several other things such as building an art farm, learning to sew and make origami. She flitted between interests, starting to grasp the concepts of one skill, then moving onto the next thing she found interesting. It was how she learned to keep herself entertained and her mind sharp.

One evening when she was eleven and her dad was particularly intoxicated, he decided to indulge Claire's requests for ice cream from her favorite shop across town. On the way there, her dad braked too late behind another car and rear-ended the person in front. The accident was minor and no one was hurt. However, Claire's dad was caught driving while intoxicated for it. On possibly one of the worst nights of Claire's night, her dad was arrested for driving under the influence and endangering a minor. With that, he was kicked from the church's clergy, and any authority he may have had over Claire's custody was lost.

Claire's mom took this opportunity to start life anew in California. She remarried shortly after to a stock broker there, but as it was just yet another impulsive marriage, it fell apart a year later after they caught each other mutually having an affair. This time, Claire was whisked away to her final destination: New York.

In California, Claire had spent her time alone at home or with her stepbrothers when no tutor was there. Now in New York at fourteen, she was old enough to confidently wander off on her own. There she saw more freelance artists and performers than she ever had before. Musicians were a common sight, both homeless and not. Every now and again, she'd find a musical playing that she would sneak into. While her mom would have happily bought her the ticket for it, Claire always found it much more thrilling to sneak into the theater. The two occasions she was caught did nothing to deter her.

On one occasion, Claire had taken a bus to the library, and aboard it was an eccentric young man performing magic tricks. She watched with rapt attention as he emptied coins from out of people's shoes and made cards vanish with a snap of his fingers. When he looked to pick a volunteer, Claire was the first to lock eyes with him, and so was selected as his volunteer. He invited her to flourish her hand over his palms, he opened them to show the dollar bill previously in his hands spill into hers as just as many dimes. At the end of the performance, when Claire came up to ask how he did that last trick, he told her "I don't know, that was all you," winked, and stepped off the bus.

Claire, of course, knew he was simply evading the question, but it was still enough for her to pick out as many books as she could on magic from the library that evening.

At fifteen, Claire's mom, for the first time in a long time, disengaged a little with her job. She'd built enough of a reputation and saved enough money that she didn't need to be so engaged in it. This free time allowed this newfound freedom, and came with it a restlessness, as she didn't know quite what to do with her hours.

Almost overnight, she went from going days without doing much else but asking Claire what she which chain restaurant she wanted for dinner, to now imploring her to binge watch this series with her or play that game with her. Claire was at something of a loss for what to do with this shift in her mom's attention, and after the first couple of months grew annoyed by it. With her mom shadowing her steps so much, she had less chances to sneak out and around the city. Her mom, as it turned out, had difficulty holding the attention to read a book, so quiet evenings reading stories together was not an option.

Claire's various tutors had tried telling her mom for years now about her daughter's negligence in her required studies and barely skimming by. A sudden pressure came from her mom one night to not be such a slacker. They fought over it, and when Claire walked to storm out, her mom burst into a fit of hysterics. She sobbed and wailed, begging her only not to leave her "just like everyone else did."

Claire stayed that night, and in the morning had a talk where she expressed her want to return to public school and be around her peers again. Her mom accepted, but the encounter from the night before left a lasting impression on Claire.

Going back to a regular school setting brought a share of difficulties that Claire wasn't equipped to deal with. She struggled with getting up early enough in the mornings to make it to class at the beginning, then when she finally dragged her exhausted self to the classroom, the setting was diluted with other students asking questions to problems they hadn't paid any attention to learn how to solve. The emphasis was on test-taking and memorizing. She was eons ahead of her peers in some subjects, while unfamiliar with the basic concepts of other curriculum.

For better or worse, there was a charm to being one of the new students, and some of her peers let her cheat off of their work. All it took was half a semester for people to start drifting from her, and so she naturally did what would best help her maintain what clout she had left: demonstrate her skills and quirks.

She took some commissions for knitting custom beanies, spraypainted designs for her school's GSA, among other niche projects. She, as with all of her experimental hobbies in the past, once again grew bored with all except the magic tricks. Consistently it was something she found impressed people, and consistently it was something she would discover new means of adding a new flair to it.

By the end of the school year, she had many people who would mutually call her a friend, but no one who would invite her to hangout with after school hours. Claire thought there was no issue with this, as she was able to pass her classes and could quantify the people she kept company with.

Her mom continued with her bouts of randomly pining for an excessive amount of Claire's attention. Even on some school days, she would be begged or guilted into staying home for the day. Miraculously, in spite of her truancy and repeated canceled meetings with clubs, Claire managed to graduate from high school on time.

The next logical step seemed to be to go to a university after that. Claire had never really done much to think about her future, and being eighteen graduating high school had done nothing to change that.

She selected a local community college. Claire's grades nor essay writing skills were good enough to win her more than one measly 300 dollar scholarship. The rest of her tuition was covered by student loans.

College was, however, a totally different beast she had been unprepared for. The select people she had graduated with attending the same college as her were quick to fall out of touch, and with no centralized classrooms to meet people in, Claire lost a significant amount of peer support that had previously carried her through high school.

By the end of her second semester, she was feeling overwhelmed and wanting to drop out.

By her third semester, she was put on academic suspension.

Out of college now and with a substantial amount of student loan debt, Claire needed to make something work, and fast.

She started taking on a bunch of odd jobs. Claire sought out any and all posted "help wanted" signs or internet advertisements she could find. She walked dogs, served tables, anything she could find for work as long as the position could hold her attention. She experimented with entrepreneurship, finding small recurring issues with all the lines of businesses she interacted with and pitched products to amend them, but she either failed to garner investments or her net profit was negligible.

Once again she found herself leaning on show tricks for her benefit. She had some connections with the theater community after attempting choir for a year, and so built on that platform a very small following that admired the more modern theatrics she would sometimes put into her otherwise classical magic shows.

Her growing respect in the field eventually won her the attention of choice members from the co-op. The invitation she received was too good to pass. Three months ago, on the promise of stable housing and government funding, she moved into the Crafter's Co-op.

in depth

Personality: Luna is an active girl - always needing to find something to do or else she gets very antsy. She just finds herself to have too much energy to spend time sitting around. This is beneficial to people who use the common room because she can be given the order to clean something up and, if she's free, she would do so happily. Anything would be fine with her - cleaning, watching television, carving - anything that would keep her away from her thoughts. This doesn't mean she's loud by any means; in fact, when she falls into whatever she was doing, she grows silent. With her natural affinity to sneaking around, a silent Luna means a Luna that can pop in suddenly.

Casually, Luna seems to be easygoing which is a complete contrast to her very serious friend. Friendly, she does her best to get along with the people she lives with. It doesn't always work but Luna isn't the type to be openly aggressive to people she dislikes. It's a bit of a hassle to do that, a waste of energy really. She's quick to agree to new adventures as long as it seems interesting, letting the others drag her into things they like to do. Of course, there are times when Luna does lock herself up in her workshop to focus on her carvings. Most of the time, they're commissions. Sometimes, she does it to clear her head when it gets too hectic inside.

For all it's worth, Luna is an effective fighter. Brave and a bit reckless, Luna finds no problem in charging into a fight and finish it as fast as she can. She can work well with others if need be and follows orders when she has to. Incurring Avery's wrath because of 'insubordination' wasn't exactly in her bucket list after all. She's usually gung-ho during missions and would be ecstatic whenever she's finally allowed to go forward and complete her part. Luna is rather overprotective of what she sees as her family, and is quick to resort to violence when someone threatens her family. Her friends can usually keep her in line - that is, if they react fast enough before she presses a blade against someone. She's pretty ruthless in a sense when it comes to completing her missions and is willing to go to very great lengths to finish it... which does not bode well for anyone trying to keep their reputation afloat.

Luna was once a loyal soul to the co-op. She loved it there. All the heart pumping adrenaline situations they get themselves into, the tight bonds they could create with the new members, working through with her passion for carving - those were all good memories. For an adventurous person like Luna, this would have been heaven. For years, she thought that. But lately, she felt herself feeling cooped up. She was tied to the place - bound to it. What she once saw as a place of solace and everything she wanted soon felt like a cage. Luna wasn't sure when she began to feel this way but the thoughts of running away kept hammering into her mind. Just to take some money and leave everything behind. However, whenever she sees the others - especially Avery - she feels her resolve crumble. She still feels unsure.

history

Bio: Ever since she was a child, the smell of wood was something she carried. With her family being heavily involved in woodworking and wood carving business, it was understandable for her to see her brother learning the ropes. She had always been very curious about it. Carving took patience, something she greatly lacked as a young one. She remembered how she pouted whenever a simple piece took too long to carve out and she'd give up. Her family saw this as something amusing. She was just a kid after all, and not everyone in the family ended up in the woodworking business. With the rise of so many technological advancements, there weren't many people who were interested in such things but they forged on.

Luna found her love and patience for wood carving when her grandmother sat her down and regaled a story of how the family had first gotten into the business. Bright eyed and filled with wonder, Luna listened intently to the family history. Yes, it was a long process and often very frustrating but it was always rewarding. Her grandmother showed her how the clients reacted to their work. Her grandmother had slowly eased her into loving the craft. And how skilled she was, a natural talent for wood carving just as her brother was to woodworking.

School was practically just a formality by this point. Luna wasn't a particularly outstanding student but she wasn't troublesome either. While she did have some friends, a lot of her free time was spent in the school's workshop where she would carve things. You could say she became quite obsessed with it but the school didn't find it particularly worrisome considering that she did have a social life and her grades didn't slip. But maybe they should have paid attention to how well she moved with her tools and her knife and how skillfully she wielded the deadly weapon against wood. But school went on fine aside from that one time she had whipped out a knife against a bully who was targeting a friend of her. She was suspended but not expelled and maybe she garnered a bit more attention than she should have.

With a strong relationship with her brother, Luna had moved out of her house to join him in the Co-op. Of course, she had her own given talents that she could show even at her relatively younger age than the others. That was the main reason why she is in the Co-op now. But the other reason were the missions - the heart pumping activity that sent her adrenaline shooting up. It was exhilarating... addicting even. She loved it and the fact that she and her brother could work together in some projects made her even happier - both in the woodworking and in fighting. During her time in the co-op, she had met quite a number of interesting characters. Some she clashed with, some she got along immensely with, some she fell into a neutral territory with. At 16, she moved to another room so she has her own workspace.

Luna, as she would repeat over and over again, does not know when she began to feel so restricted by the co-op. They let her go on missions that were far. They let her go outside whenever she pleased. It had amplified and made itself known when her brother decided to hang up his axe and simply retire to being a simple shop owner. It's been itching at the back of her mind for quite a long time now. She just wants to go. To run away. To leave. But it wasn't going to be easy. She'd come to care for the people there.

Recently, Luna has been missing for four months after being sent on an individual mission.

miscellaneous

Shop: Sharing the store with her brother, it is lined with various examples of her own carvings along with the creations of her brother. Cabinets made by her brother are decorated with carvings of her own - and a lot of times, they work together to make designs to certain furniture to show what they can do together. There is a small assembly room in the corner when they're working on bigger projects.

Room: Because of the relatively messy nature of her work, she has decided to have a space dedicated to her wood carving. Located on the fourth floor because she wishes to be close to their storage, her room is relatively simple looking. No particular grandiose form of design and just a few shelves and cabinets as well as self-carved wooden decorations. For all the carving that she does, it seems quite underwhelming. The bathroom and kitchen are both as simple as her bedroom with very minimal decorations.

Studio: With the help of her brother, the area she dedicated to wood carving became a small room so that she would be able to clean and contain her mess easier. Her tools are usually scattered on top of a table as well as other machines for bigger projects. Designs are tacked onto the walls with most of them being special orders for her clients.

Transportation: Luna owns a modded, sleek, black motorcycle given to her by the grace of Avery for personal use and individual missions.

Relationships:

Avery Mauntell:

"He's bossy, aggressive, kind of an asshole sometimes and really bad at this whole feelings thing. I wouldn't exchange him for anyone else."

Luna has come to trust Avery's leadership. Sure, he's bossy and is almost always angry, but he's effective enough. So when he was rising to his position, Luna supported him all the way. This forged a strong bond between the two and they soon became close friends. Because of Avery's cold exterior, he has a lot of things he needs to dump to avoid boiling over and Luna would always be there to listen to him. In turn, his trust in her gives her more confidence in what she can do.

Jung Sunhee:

"She's definitely a handful, spoiled to hell and back. But she's a good friend of mine and honestly, I don't regret it one bit."

Being Avery's girlfriend is a surefire way for Luna to befriend the living hell out of you and that was exactly what happened with Sunhee. Arguably one of the closest people to Luna now, she's willing to go above and beyond for her. Even after the break up, Luna still kept being a good friend to her and talked with her about it. To this day, she still remains to be a close friend to Sunhee.

Theresa Bennett:

"She's pretty cool. She has this habit of spiking things with her concoctions so every day is a surprise."

Luna isn't really all that bothered by Theresa's pranks. Sure, sometimes it's a bit dangerous and a bit weird. And sure, it worries her to some extent that it made her rethink drinking something pre-prepared but it's usually interesting enough. They've fallen into a habit of exchange. Luna sometimes asks for some poison for their missions and she would either offer herself up for experimentation or offer her a bunch of chocolates and sugary treats.

Elijah Finley:

"He's a bit odd. He smells of formaline wherever he goes and he has those 'pets' of his. Overall, he's pretty friendly with a bit of an odd streak. Nothing too bad."

Luna really doesn't mind his presence, surprisingly enough. He's a very awkward boy but Luna does notice that he does try. He just has odd ways of showing his appreciation and friendship. She feels bad for him sometimes so she makes an effort to give him a gift every so often. He seems to appreciate the thought. Of course, she is a tad bit worried about his lifestyle considering he isn't the most... physically capable person.

Eyes: Green-gray ice

Height: Five foot nine

Clothing Style: Futch Fancy. She tends to lean a bit more femme for fun, and a bit more butch for work. Her pictured outfit is a favored one of hers for work purposes.

Hair: She has black hair that she almost never wears down.

Combat Details

Skills: She is an efficient, callous, and cold fighter.

Strengths: She is dangerous when called for, and utterly ruthless. Where a normal person might hesitate for a moment she moves with surety. She is also extremely good at hiding her intent, and you will usually only know you are in a fight when she hits you.

Weaknesses: She doesn’t really have much brute strength, although she isn’t weak either. While she is agile, she doesn’t really much use it, preferring to be more proper. She has other less shown weaknesses

Personal Details

Likes: Solving mysteries, learning secrets, cold cozy places, and a few other things

Dislikes: People, warmth, people invading her personal space

Bio: Ash is the daughter of a man of certain conflicts. To her, growing up, he was an idol. He told her countless stories of journalistic daring and encouraged her voracious reading and fledgeling interest in writing. To everyone else he was Chad Kane, one of the nastiest propagandists and shadiest tabloid runners around, with a special interest in paparazzi. Unfortunately illusions don’t last forever. Hers broke right around when her gifts came in, and she could feel that little tinge of wrongness in her father’s stories. Her teenage years were a dramatic mess, much moreso than usual, not helped by the fact that her personality is all her own.

In the end there was a tenuous peace in the Crane family. Ash works for her father as one of his many journalists, but she gets to say no to stories she doesn’t want to take and find her own. In the end journalism, the finding and crafting of stories, was too close to her essential nature to walk away from, and there wasn’t another newspaper in the world who would take the daughter of Chad Kane, especially if he blacklisted her.

Personality: Ash is not the nicest person, which most people who really know her will happily tell you. Albeit that usually comes with somewhat more colorful descriptions, and often comes with rants. She is not a person with many, or any friends, and she has few allies. She is however the kind of person who is extremely good at what she does. Her job is her life, and her job is the slightly shadier side of investigative journalism. She is a deeply curious person with absolutely no inherent moral compass. She does have her own sort of code, that she built herself and keeps to herself.

Fears: Nothing, openly at least.

Goals: She just wants to keep chasing stories, mysteries and secrets.

Misc

Relationships: Enemies in high places, low places, and everywhere in between.

CHRISTOPHER HEMSWORTH| the sculptor

GENDER | Male
AGE | 24
SEXUALITY | Straight

HISTORY |

Christopher was born the third child to a middle class family. His parents, a school teacher and a Geneticist were considered respectable members of the community, and the family's economic situation meant the young Chris was free to explore and experiment with all kinds of subject matter. He very early on showed an interest in sculpting, something that his Uncle had introduced him to. From this age, his intelligence and thirst for reading had also become apparent. Christopher was the child-prodigy, scoring straight A's throughout most of elementary, receiving praise from everyone... Except his peers, of course. He spent all these early days as a quiet, lonely kid. Not because he did not want the company of others, but mainly because it was the other way around. Everyone wrote it off as just a bad quality of classmates, and assured themselves their little prodigy would find his way in Life.

Of course, wishful thinking never got anyone anywhere, and Chris was not exception. The years passed, and yet still he remained lonely, mostly bullied, scorned, or simply ignored by his peers. It all began to take a toll on the boy's mental health. Now being in the early stages of depression, Chris tried to find solace in the only thing he could really shine: Sculpting. He spent more and more time in his Uncle's studio, making statue after statue, his skill growing along with him. His grades suffered, and his parents took notice. Their wonder child, who could read flawlessly at the age of 6, who could sculpt way beyond his years, who was praised by every teacher, was now a hollow husk of his former self. His parents, unsure as to what they were supposed to do, began pressuring him further. Chris now had no respite, neither from his home, or from the outside world. His sanity deteriorated further and further, to the point where his family sent him to rehab, seeing how his love of sculpting had turned into a full-on addiction.

It was there that he met some friends and actually even managed to form a relationship. For once, life seemed to go his way, and it showed, he started once again making effort in school. He would go out with fis friends and girlfriend, and slowly the time he spent (TBC)

PERSONALITY |

Chris is a bundle of mental issues, emotional baggage, and traumatic experiences which all come together to create a truly disturbing individual. How he still manages to function remains quite the mystery. No matter how hard he may try, his problems have reached a point where hiding them is nigh-on Impossible, and thus he has considerable difficulties with making friends, as most are either alarmed or annoyed by his troubled personality. He has a very grim outlook on life, believing the world to be an absolute cesspool that is extremely difficult to fix, however he does not often share this view with other- after all, why make them sad?

Yet buried underneath all that bundle of problems is a good, or at least not an evil man. While he has done some morally questionable acts, there are several lines he will not cross. And while violence is something he revels in, it's not violence that comes from Malice, but rather a deep need to somehow express his anger at the world for torturing him. If one can get past his rough exterior, Chris makes for an extremely loyal and supportive friend. Obviosuly, this is quite the daunting task, as Chris is potentially both a frowning Doomer, a Cackling madman, and a screeching beast all at once.

Finally, he is rather cocky in his ability to confront danger, and that, combined with his lack of self-preservation makes him very willing to try all sorts of things. Alcohol? Sure. Drugs? Definitely? Violence against a Kingpin's gang? Sign him up! Such behavior can be politely described as reckless, and more bluntly put dangerous. Of course, you can always try to reason with him-and for the most part, he'll try his best to listen.

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES |

Chris stands at the intimidating height of 6"3, and this, combined with his Athletic Mesomorph build and usual familiarity with violence, make him quite the spectacle in fights. He has currently four tatoos: A skull with an ornate eye decorating his right arm, An army of masked men dressed in anarchist gear taking down a large Giant in a two-piece suit covering his chest, a chessboard with some loose pieces on it on his right shoulder, and some runic arrays as a sleeve over his left arm.
