It was just another day in the Tower. Tests being taken on each Floor, people laughing, crying or dying the same as always. Zahard still holding his ''monarchy'' intact, Wolhaiksong opposing his methods and FUG trying to kill him. But most people couldn't care less, their one desire was to climb at the Top and have their wishes granted. It was time for Headon to search and ultimately find, the chosen Regulars and offer them the chance of a life time: to enter the Inner Tower and struggle to achieve their strongest desires. Wealth? Power? Glory? Revenge? Immortality? Enlightment? Or something that surpasses everything else? Regardless of one's desire, they could achieve it right here...in the Tower of God. Now the question is...are you willing to gamble, my friend? <img src="<___base_url___>/proxy.php?image=http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/towerofgod/images/1/1f/Tog_Da_Tawr.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110521001558&hash=b02c466fae44c9f11f46306437a89c51" class="ipsImage" alt="proxy.php?image=http://vignette2.w" /></p>

"Thirty... thirty-one... thirty-two... thirty-three..." Illiam spoke. His ominously calm voice echoed though the cavern. His voice bounding off walls and causing echos that sounded as if there were two Illiam's. The cavern was dark, but after walking for so long Illiam found himself adjusted enough to see walls and the like. Occasionally he would run into a jutting rock or trip on a small pebble. He had been wandering for long time, in search of the gate that only recently peaked his interest. "Forty-five... forty-six... forty-seven... forty-eight." As a fun way of passing time, Illiam enjoyed counting the years he had been banished for. He would count one more for every year that passed in his eternal banishment. It was a fun game that quickly turned into habit. What was a once a year even turned into a once a day compulsion.

"Seventy-nine... eighty... eighty-one... eight-two..." Illiam climbed over one more boulder, and there before him it stood, the gate into the tower. The self same gate that he had been seeking for five years. He had heard about this gate, this tower. Heard that the one who reaches the top will receive power, riches, anything their heart may desire. However Illiam did not care for that. Illiam had came for the danger climbing up the tower presents. Having his wishes granted would just be a fortunate side effect. "Ninety-seven... ninety-eight... ninety-nine." Now, Illiam was only a step away from the gate, put his hand on the gate, just to feel the stone door, all of it's bumps, groves and cracks. "At last."

The door opened quite easily, creaking slowly. Illiam entered after the door opened all the way. The darkness greeted him as his feet stepped on new ground. "One-hundred."

Before Illiam opened the gates...

Headon was searching far and wide through the tower for new Regulars. Sadness, ambition, emptiness, fury...all of these were elements which fueled the predators which were soon to be Regulars. Simply having strength and/or speed was not enough to climb the Tower. Intelligence, tenacity, strategy and the right weapons were equally important if one wanted to make it to the Tower...and survive. So Headon went to various places of the Outer and Middle Towers. Regardless of who standed before him, he asked everyone the same question:

Do you wish to have your strongest desire come true?

If they accepted they would have been teleported in the waiting area of the Second Floor.

After Illiam opened the gates...

Just as Headon finished, he felt the presence of a being which forcefully opened the gates which led to the 1st Floor...another Irregular. The Guardian appeared before Illiam in a flash of light, revealing the simingly empty ''room'' they were in. ''I sincerely welcome you to the Tower, child. You can call me Headon. I am...the caretaker'' he said. The bunny-eared creature might have seemed friendly, but Headon wasn't exactly a creature which was easy to understand.

Little did Illiam know, he was in for one hell of a ride.

@Rantos

Illiam

A bright light that appeared before Illiam caused him to instinctively shield his eyes while shouting "Shat!". After spending so long in the dark, the sudden bright light nearly burned his eyes. After the light died down Illiam heard a voice, however in his daze he could not make out who it belonged to. As the light died and Illiam was able to see again, he saw a rabbit man before him. Headon was his name, the caretaker, whatever that meant.

"Hey. The names Illiam. I don't really know how things work around here, but take me to the dangerous stuff. Or anything I can punch really." Making a show for the bunny man, Illiam then began to flex before Headon. Showing off every muscle that he could while winking occasionally.

@Azure Sky

Headon found Illiam quite amusing. Nonetheless, he wouldn't let the Irregular climb up the Tower that easily. The Irregular was rather full of himself, and the danger-seeking type. Not the first case though.

''Hooh, so you're the fearless type, huh? Good. On the other hand, if you're also reckless you may find that your life in here will be a short one'' said Headon, on a pseudo-concerned tone. ''Anyways, before you actually start your little adventure, you need to pass one test. If you manage to do so, you'll be teleported to the Second Floor. Now, let us begin!'' he added, as a gigantic fish tank appeared out of nowhere. There was no actual water in it , but there was a big yellow sphere. A few moments later a Giant Steel Eel appeared in the tank. Headon threw a dagger at Illiam and told him: "Pop the sphere over there with the dagger, while avoiding to get killed by the creature in the Shinsoo tank and you pass".

Meanwhile, a certain someone was watching them with great curiosity from the shadows.

@Rantos

Illiam

This bunny man was doubting Illiam's skills. Illiam himself knew he was not perfect, he could remember two fights he lost. But he had enough confidence to know he would last. But the bunny man did have a point. "I can assure you I will survive. I like to think my recklessness it really just a lack of hesitance." Which was something that could also get Illiam killed. But in Illiam's mind he was near unstoppable. A personal truth that was not reality.

One test, then Illiam would earn the right to enter, easy enough. Illiam listened as the bunny man explained his task. But Illiam could only register half of the things he said. But he got the important parts. Pop the ball with the knife, and avoid the bad thing in the tank. Simple in thought. He was hoping it would be simple in execution too. Illiam caught the knife that Headon threw. He twirled it in his hands a few times before pressing the sharp edge against his skin. If it could penetrate his skin, then it was sharp enough to fight with. It cut his skin seamlessly. As the blood began to trickle, a devilish grin grew on Illiam. Illiam didn't cut enough to cause worry of bleeding out, for now at least. He would fix that later.

With knife in hand, Illiam moved towards the tank. Looking back only once to speak to Headon. "If I win this in under a minute, you have to give me a cookie." Illiam was completely serious. He took his first steps into the tank, taking a good look at the Eel that stood between him and the orb. "Do you think I am trapped here with you... or you are trapped in here with me? Lets find out." Illiam then broke into a sprint, making a direct line to the orb while keeping a careful eye on the Eel. He was not fast, so he knew he could not out run it. Illiam's plan was to get the Eel to charge him while he ran at the orb, dodging at the last second, and while the Eel turned around, he would continue to the orb.

Steel Eels are usually quite passive creatures, but during breeding season, they need food and also want to protect their young, so they will eat smaller harmless creatures. Coincidently, it actually was breading season. The White Steel Eel initially watched Illiam calmly, barely moving. Once the Irregular started running towards the black sphere, however, the creature charged towards him ferociously.

For the creature, Illiam was just a convenient snack.

"Don't you think you're a bit too harsh, old guy?" asked the figure in the shadows. "I belive the difficulty isn't that high for an Irregular .On a side note, you're a little far from the 29th Floor, Helios" replied Headon. ''I merely wanted to take a long walk'' replied Helios Prime, who decided to make himself visible. In an instant he appeared near Headon. He was a rather handsome and, simingly, young man, dressed elegantly. He had a confident look on his face, and his dark brown eyes radiated with power.

''Returning to the main subject, Headon, that young man is slow. I doubt he could get away from the White Steel Eel. That dagger won't help him either'' continued Helios. ''Now, now, don't be like that. Let's belive in him. Irregulars are full of surprises after all. But you know that as well, don't you Helios? After all, you're one too'' said Headon, as within his slith the eyes were replaced by a mouth. The bunny-like creature smiled sadistically. Helios didn't reply and watched Illiam with interest. Initially acting all serious, a rather cruel smile gradually appeared on Mr. Prime's face.

It took a short time for Illiam to realize that he had no hope in out speeding the creature. As much as Illiam loved punching things, he wanted to finish this as soon as he could. The Eel charged at Illiam, opening it's ferocious maw in an attempt to gobble Illiam for breakfast. Sticking to his original plan, Illiam ran head first at the Eel. The two came closer and closer to one another, until impact was only moments away. In that second, Illiam bailed to the side. Just barely dodging the Eel's charging attack. Illiam landed on the ground, quickly getting back up and running for the orb, all the while holding in his lunch. The breath of the Eel was absolutely rank.

The Eel turned around faster than Illiam first thought. Pretty soon after Illiam dodged the Eel's first attack, it came around for a second. There was nothing in Illiam's way of the orb now. But the Eel was faster, and would get to Illiam before he could get to the orb. So Illiam stopped running, he turned to face the beast. Illiam dropped himself lower to the ground, separated his legs and put a little bounce in his stance. Soon, the Eel was upon him. As the Eel opened it's mouth and charged at Illiam, he side stepped out of the way of the Eel's mouth. As the mouth passed by, Illiam regained his footing. When the eye was right next to Illiam, he delivered a kick with all of his might.

The Eel staggered, cried in pain as it's eye seemed to pop. Illiam was kocked back by one of the Eel's horns. The Eel lay on the floor, squirming in pain. Illiam got up, taking this chance. He ran to the orb, approaching it before the Eel could rise again. With knife in hand, Illiam lunged at the orb with the intent to pop the shit out of it.

@Azure Sky

As soon as Illiam attempted to pop the dark sphere, Headon infused it with Shinsoo. No matter how sharp, a normal dagger wouldn't be able to penetrate it. Helios was not amused. "Hey, old guy, that's cheating" said the Irregular on a cold tone. "Oh, I merely wish to observe him some more" replied Headon cheerfully. Helios looked at the bunny-eared Guardian and then shifted his attention to Illiam. After a few seconds he started talking to the Guardian again: ''He'll never be able to win like this. Since you played dirty, I hope you don't mind if I give him a little help''. Truthfully Prime didn't really care about Headon's opinion regarding the matter.

The Eel somehow recovered, but it was enraged. It wanted to attack Illiam, but it stopped. It felt an unnatural amount of pressure. As the creature turned around, it was able to detect the source. It came from Helios.

"Hmph, even if it's you, I won't let him win if you enter the tank to save him'' said Headon. ''Pfft, nothing of that sort'' said Helios, as he generated a condensed sphere of Shinsoo, to which he also added a lightning effect. It looked like a baang, but it wasn't. Prime used his Shinsoo manipulation to move the ball at high speed within the tank, until it reached Illiam's dagger. At that point Helios used the lightning-effect Shinsoo to charge the dagger.

''Hey, kid, try again'' said Helios. ''That was a rather peculiar Shinsoo technique'' thought Headon. He then watched Illiam with interest. He didn't care to stop Helios Prime from doing something like that, for some reason. Headon was a mysterious and hard to understand individual. He might have even wanted for things to turn out that way.

Since Helios stopped releasing pressure, the Steel Eel turned to Illiam again, preparing to attack.

Meanwhile at the 2nd Floor...

All Regulars who accepted Headon's invitation should have been ready for what seemed to be a battle royale with a time limit. Some of them apparently weren't well enough prepared, though. Such as those who challenged a certain turle humanoid.

Tok Stonebreaker, the huge and muscular accel-turtle humanoid, stood on top of a mountain of weak defeated regulars. ''Hmph...you snails couldn't even kill my boredom'' he said on a deep voice. He did know that there were some skilled Regulars participating in the test though. He watched some of them with interest, from afar.

When Nyra suddenly found herself being teleported to the second floor of the tower, her immediate reaction was closing her eyes tight and falling onto the ground. The transition from the pitch blackness of her underwater homelands to the dry and unbearably bright testing floor was not a gentle one. That her body didn't simply fail from the sudden change must have been another strange miracle of Headon's doing.

She vaguely heard someone's voice echoing from somewhere, but she hadn't recovered enough to make out what they said or even anything about the voice at all. She opened her eyes but immediately shut them again as the light blinded her. It was at least a couple of minutes before her head stopped pounding like it wanted to burst, and shortly after she could finally open her eyes enough to look around. Her surroundings weren't very distinct, just simple grass from what she could see from where she lay on the ground. She'd need to get up if she wanted to really look around. As she started to push herself up her own hand and arm caught her eye. She hadn't been wearing her outwater clothing when Headon had spoken to her, but somehow she was now. Headon must have done something to redress her in order for her to climb the tower. She'd have to remember to thank him after she got to the top. When she'd finally pushed herself into a kneeling position and then unsteadily rose to her feet it was with great care. And when she attempted to take her first step she fell right back onto her face.

But a simple thing like standing and walking wasn't going to get in her way for long. After a few more tries Nyra finally started to get used to moving without the weight of an endless ocean on her shoulders and could take small steps without losing her balance. She'd heard what had sounded like fighting happening in the distance. She should investigate the source and try to figure out what she should be doing. She started to walk in that direction when she noticed something lying on the ground where she'd appeared. It was an orb, just over a foot in diameter, opaque but not clear enough to see through of into very far. She walked over and picked it up, only after feeling its cool surface daring to let herself hope what it might be.

Suddenly overflowing with excitement and joy, Nyra turned to run off towards where she'd heard the sounds. Having completely forgotten that she'd barely reached competence walking in this new setting, her first attempt at jumping was immediately rewarded with a sudden reintroduction of her face to the ground. "Fiiiine, I get it. Slow." But she hadn't loosened her grip on the orb in her hands. She got back up and brushed her self off before heading again in the direction she'd heard sounds, this time taking it more slowly. Even so she still managed to trip more than a dozen times before she was able to make out the piled of regulars topped by the one who'd defeated them.

He looked strong, so Nyra's first reaction was to drop back down and try to hide behind the grass to avoid him seeing her if he hadn't already. More than anyone else, she knew she was a weakling. No way was she going to fight someone scary, and by the looks of it that regular already had a body count going. A better idea for her was to hide and wait for someone else to show up fight the scary turtle and hope whoever was left standing at the end was tired enough for her to try and take. Yes that sounded like a good idea.

“Alright! Sel is ready now!”

The sound of whirling blades surrounded Selicity as she spun her giant hook(scythe) dexterously around her armored gloves. Her one eye, not covered by the eyepatch, glinted a golden yellow, displaying her delight and excitement for all to see. Slowly, Selicity sauntered forward towards the group of regulars who had disturbed her nap, moving with the grace of lioness as she prepared to jump her prey. The humans, as if by instinct, took a step back. Selicity pouted.

“Awww…didn’t you want to play with Sel?”

Perhaps they were jolted by the her words because the humans then raised their weapons. Then, in unison, they charged.

“Yes! That’s the way,” Selicity grinned. “Come at me!”

The cat sithe lifted her own weapon, the hook given to her by her village elders, the shinsoo eater named Athlene, and dashed forward, bringing it down in a horizontal arc. In single swoosh, three bodies were cleaved in half. The other two managed to avoid Atlene’s first strike. Nice. Flipping through the air, Selicity avoided the blade that swiped at her. She tilted her curiously when she noticed the angry tears in the blade wielder’s eyes.

Clang!

As soon as her feet landed on the ground, Athlene clashed with the sword. Selicity’s orb turned black. “Why are you sad? You guys came at me because you wanted to play right?”

The only reply Sel received was a roar of anger. Clang! Clang! Clang! The sword wielder continued to hack blindly at Athlene, clearly lost in his rage. Selicity sighed. Ducking, the cat sithe spun into a roundhouse kick, her boot landing into the boy’s unprotected rib cage. There was a crack, as the swordsman crumpled to the ground. Selicity’s single, remaining eye flashed violet and she swiftly decapitated the swordsman, effectively ending his screams, before her the orb settled on calm blue. The last member of the human group, a female, dropped her weapon and ran away after seeing what happened to the swordsman. Selicity let her. She had lost interest in playing with them.

Stretching, Selicity stashed away Athlene in her arms inventory before shifting back into cat form, a small black and white feline with an eyepatch. Then the cat scampered in the opposite direction to find someone more interesting to play with now that she’d woken from her nap. For Selicity Fars, the second floor test had finally begun.

CLANG

A satisfying sound of metal banging on metal reverbed though the air. Illiam found his arm recoiling back, the knife bounced off the ball. What was the problem, why did the knife not go in? Illiam tried again, but to no avail. The knife simply bounced off again, and again. Maybe there was some kind of weak spot. So Illiam began to slash the ball, over and over. Moving around, trying to find the vulnerable spot that didn't exist. Illiam slashed, and slashed, and kicked, and punched, and even bit the black orb. Nothing was working, and the Eel was regaining it's ability to function behind him. Illiam had no choice, he needed to fight. Facing the Eel, Illiam began to jump in place. Short quick jumps. Honestly, he was excited. He could feel his blood pumping faster, his heart betting harder. Maybe after he killed the Eel, he could use it's horns to pop the ball. That thought alone made Illiam shiver in anticipation.

Illiam found the task up jumping becoming a harder task. Illiam stopped as he felt the pressure grow. The Eel looked at something outside the tank, as did Illiam. Headon was joined by a man, a man that seemed to resonate power. Just looking at him, Illiam felt chills go though his body. Not the excited chills of a coming battle, but rather that sensation when faced with the fearful unknown.

A small blue ball entered the tank, and rushed towards Illiam at an alarming rate. Not knowing what it was, and not wanting to take a chance, Illiam held up his knife to block. The blue orb seemed to enter his knife, it surged though it, and though the knife Illiam felt it. The buzz of power.

"Hey, kid, try again"

Illiam was planing on it. One last time, Illiam thrusted his knife into the ball.

@Azure Sky

Because the dagger's striking power was greatly enhanced by Helios's Shinsoo technique, Illiam was finally able to pop the ball. But obviously the empowerment wouldn't last forever. The energy within the dagger would slowly fade away. On the other hand, the process would take a while.

''Congratulations. You passed'' said Headon, as the tank and the Steel Eel, which the Guardian healed using Shinsoo, disappeared. Before the bunny-eared entity would have teleported Illiam, he was approached by Helios. ''Before you go I have two things to say. Firstly, the energy within that dagger should last for roughly 30 minutes. Secondly, I'd like to give you a tip: this energy I used is called Shinsoo. Master it, and you shall have the opportunity to face the top dogs'' said the Irregular as he generated a lightning-effect baang in his right hand and a fire-effect one in his left, as a demonstration. After watching Illiam, Helios belived he understood the guy's nature, and that this would give him a lot of motivation.

''You're quite the show-off, Helios. Anyways, child, take this. It will be useful. You will be teleported now'' said Headon, as he gave a Pocket to Illiam, before a pillar of light engulfed him and teleported the Irregular to the 2nd Floor.

Tok was truly not the type to space out. He was alert and ready to face whatever enemies may have come. While he could not see how Nyra looked like, he could hear the sound of something moving in the grass. Probably someone who was not confident in their skills and decided to hide instead. If they had no intention to fight him, then neither did he. But afterwards, he could hear another sound. The sound of someone moving towards him. Suddenly a girl with animal ears emerged from the tall grass, using an elusive style and attempting to attack Tok wth her spear. In front of such a situation, Tok simply...turned his back away. As he did so, his small shell blocked the spear. The Accel-Turtle then turned around again and pretended to attack with his right fist, as a means of forcing his foe to get into the defensive. But his fist stopped midway, as he drew backwards, grabbed two of the unconscious, defeated Regulars on the ground, and jumped.

Tok threw one of the unconscious Regulars towards Seefi, and the other towards the place where Nyra and Osin where hiding, with all of his might. He belived that whoever was hiding in the grass might have been waiting for a moment to strike, and that they were working together with Seefie. The thrown bodies were moving quite fast, courtesy of Tok's throwing power.

She'd been too focused on the regular she'd been watching. She hadn't even considered that just like how she was watching the turtle regular waiting for an opportunity to strike, there very well might be other regulars hidden nearby with the same idea but with her as the prey. The regular who called himself Oisin could very well have been one of said hunters, easily walking right up behind the inattentive girl wrapped in bandages without her taking any notice of his presence until he spoke and nearly gave her a heart attack. Nyra let out a startled cry that she immediately stifled, but as she spun around to face what she assumed to be an attacker her not being used to the setting got to her again and she fell onto the ground.

As she lost her balance the sphere she clung to escaped her grip and rolled a short distance away. There was panic in her eyes as Nyra looked up at the regular who'd snuck up on her. Her mind was working too fast trying to think of something. She didn't have anything to defend herself with if she had to fight. She snatched up a short stick from the ground, fully prepared to use it as an ineffective weapon should she need to. The orb was sitting on the ground behind her. Could she get to it before the regular reached her? Probably not. She hadn't even considered that the regular hadn't attacked her already or the possibility that he wasn't planning to, she was too busy panicking about what to do when he did.

Behind her back the orb that had fallen onto the ground rippled as what lay inside began to move. In a blur of golden motion a creature burst from the compressed bowl it had been stored in. At lunged at Oisin, its wide open mouth a black void of countless teeth big enough to swallow the boy in a single bite. Blood flew through the air as the eel caught the body the turtle regular had sent flying at Nyra. The sound of bones being crushed between powerful jaws was sickening. When it released the now very dead regular's body from its jaws and threw it aside with a jerk of its golden head even more blood rained down onto the ground and the two regulars who'd just witnessed the scene up close.

sssssssssss_by_beastofoblivion-d6mcgtz.jpg

The yellow eel turned to face Oisin next, its intentions as visible as the crimson blood dripping from between its needle-like teeth. It snapped its mouth shut around nothing and turned its head sharply to look at the small bandaged girl who was gripping its tail. Nyra shook her head at the creature. "No. Calm Yazi. Wait." She repeated those words at the eel in a controlling tone that sounded odd coming from a girl who seemed to barely be able to stay on her feet and was holding a twig shorter than her own arm so tightly one might assume it was some great secret weapon. And as she spoke the eel seemed to listen to her, backing off from the regular it had been so close to eating, though its yellow eyes still held the unveiled desire to consume the small horned being.

Her hand on the yellow eel's side for comfort, Nyra closed her eyes as she breathed slowly in and out to steady her nerves. She wasn't afraid of the regular attacking her anymore, not with Yazir'el coiled around her protectively. But if the scary-looking turtle regular hadn't been completely certain about her being there before he'd definitely know now. She opened her eyes again. "Excuse me, but could you tell me what this test is? I didn't hear what we were supposed to be doing for this first part."

Second floor: Battle royal

Bull shit. Unrefined bull shit. It took Illiam a moment to figure out the situation, but when he did a vein popped in his forehead. Frustration, within him was reaching new heights as he realized that he just got played. Those two, bunny man and the other man, just played Illiam like an out of tune harpsichord. Hearing Haedon talk, filled Illiam's mind with fantasy's of taking the bunny man's head and stomping it. Never had Illiam felt so used, and the feeling burned him up from the inside. What the hell was the point if they were going to rig it in the beginning. If Illiam had also known that Headon made the ball unpopable, he would be screaming all kinds of words that would make even a sailor blush.

"Yeah. No thanks to you!" This was an ironic statement. Illiam knew he passed from outside help, and that infuriated him. Before Illiam could storm off to God knows where, he was approached by a well dressed man that just seemed to ooze importance. Illiam contemplated stabbing the man right then and there, but he seemed to have something of importance to say. As Illiam listened on to what the man had to say, his agitated glare turned into a smile. The big dogs. That meant people like Headon and this fancy man. Shinsoo. Illiam would remember all of that. He took a step towards the well dressed man, and placed a fist on his chest. "Cya soon... top dog."

Caught in his own little delusions of mastering Shinsoo, then subsequently making Headon his punching bag, Illiam didn't even noticed that Headon was talking to him. A small orb appeared next to Illiam. Then, he was engulfed in light. The boy covered his eyes, and when he let his cover down, Illiam found himself in a completely different area. No longer was it some kind of cavern, but rather a plains. With a quick survey of the land, Illiam saw many people fighting, and the smell, was that of blood! Illiam got a little giddy at the sight. It was like he just landed in a murder buffet. Illiam hoped that he was not too late to enjoy the fun.

The sword that made impact with the nape of his neck would suggest otherwise.

Turning his head, Illiam found himself eye to eye with a frightened looking young boy. Illiam's snake like eyes flicked from the sword, to the boy. Seems like the appetizer came right to him. "Dull." He said, referring to both the sword and the boy. Grabbing the blade, Illiam pulled it away from his neck. Upon moving the sword, the boy could see in full how little damage he did. He left a small cut that drew no blood. The boy's grip on his blade loosened, his legs began to shake. Illiam could only guess that he accidentally made a scary face out of excitement for what was to come. For the boy looked as though he was about to piss himself. Although, before Illiam could act, the sound of yelling and pounding footsteps came from behind.

Another adversary, large, larger than Illiam really. The man came charging at Illiam, although he was slow, the way his foot steps pounded against the earth suggested he had power. Illiam let go of the boy's sword, forgetting about him entirely and embracing this new foe. The man wound up for a punch, and Illiam responded in kind. The two fists collided, resulting in the sounds of bones breaking. Bones that were not Illiam's. The pain of his hand breaking made the man stop in his tracks for a moment. A moment that Illiam used to swiftly kick the mans knee, dislocating his lower leg in the process. Now, Illiam was board. A part of him wished he was back with the giant Eel.

"I am done here." Illiam said as he left the man with the broken leg to cry by himself. There was no more entertainment in this battle buffet anymore. With a sour taste left in his mouth, Illiam walked aimlessly. Soon, Illiam found his path crossing a small animal he had never seen before. Four legs, fluffy and it had an eye patch. Illiam glared at the small furry beast, not really knowing what to make of it. After he spent a good amount of time just glaring at the creature, he spoke. "I do not know why. But I am filled with the deepest desire to rub your tummy."

@QuirkyAngel @Azure Sky

The small cat that was Sel tilted her head curiously at the stranger who glared at her—a bipedal creature with black hair. He resembled a human, but he wasn’t. Sel lifted her head and sniffed at the air. The scent of blood made her nose twitch. The second floor test was in full swing. So many people. So many potential playmates. It was all so different from her small village of peaceful cats. The excitement. The thrill. It made her one eye shine a brilliant gold. Fearlessly, the little animal padded across the clearing to the stranger to get a better look at him—or rather, a better whiff.

Yep, definitely not human.

He didn’t smell anything like the group she’d fought earlier. Which species he was, Sel didn’t know. But she did know that there was something about him that was…different…than the others. Silently they stared at each other, a slight breeze brushing the tall grass that surrounded them. Then the boy opened his mouth.

My tummy…? He wants to rub my tummy?

The gold iris changed green and the small feline giggled. “You’re funny.”

Then Sel paused, seeming to ponder the matter. She paced back and forth while she thought, occasionally peeking at the boy to see if he was still there. Several moments later she stopped, her unblinking gaze meeting the black haired boy’s.

“I’m Selicity. Selicity Fars. If I let you rub my tummy, will you play with me?”

The small animal could talk. What more, it even had a sense of humor, calling Illiam funny. He wasn't trying to be funny, so Illiam blamed it on his natural charm. The small furry beast paced around Illiam, and Illiam watched it intently. His desire to pet the small beast's tummy only rose to new heights. Just what was this creature, and what was it doing to Illiam?

The small beast introduced itself as Selicity, and offered a tummy rub, in exchange for playing with her. An incredibly ominous deal, and one that on and other day Illiam would have declined. But all rational thought was being erased but the need to rub the creatures tummy. No longer was Illiam's want as simple as just that. Now, Illiam felt as though his insides would rip apart without this. The impatient foot tapping, the constant face twitch, all signs that Illiam was almost as wits end.

"Illiam! Now let me touch you!" Illiam didn't really wait for the small beast to say anything, as he began to furiously rub her tummy. It, was, amazing. The feeling, was unlike anything Illiam had ever felt before. Transcending normal pleasure and sending waves of ecstasy though Illiam with each passing pet. Illiam man handled the beast at first, put soon he was playing with her tummy, having his fingers glide softly though the glade of fur. "Creature. I don't know who you are, but may I have you?" What was prepossessed as a question actually was anything but. Illiam was not taking no. As far as he was concerned, this tiny creature belonged to him now. Illiam continued to be entranced by the soft tummy.

Tok's opponent was quite aggressive, at the very least more than the ones he fought before. On the other hand, the woman with fox-like ears was also very skilled. In her brief moment of hesitation, Tok wondered if he should use his twin Ignition Weapons, or continue to fight with the barely alive bodies of the Regulars that he defeated. But even before that, he had to know something. He had to ask Seefie a certain question. The same which he asked every Regular that attacked him before.

Osin and Nyra were also forced to reveal themselves because of Tok, but he didn't have time for them at that point, plus they simingly had other matters to deal with.

The opponent in front of him was quick to recover. With swift movements she launched a fierce attack towards the Accel-Turtle yet again. The muscular reptile-humanoid could have used his twin daggers to counter, or draw back and throw bodies again. But he didn't do either of those things. He didn't even dodge. Tok simply enhanced his body with Shinsoo, and let Seefie strike. The tip of the spear was able to superficially penetrate his skin, just enough for a rather insignificant amount of blood to come out. In that exact moment, Tok gripped the shaft of Seefie's spear tightly, with his left hand.

Tok Stonebreaker intentionally created that situation, as it was the perfect opportunity for his inquiry. He looked Seefie in the eye and asked just one question, on a calm, but rather cold tone: "Why do you wish to fight me?".

"I'm Nyra," the bandaged girl introduced herself after a moment of hesitation. She looked away from the other regular to observe the turtle regular fighting back against another regular. The turtle regular had known that she was there before, and there was no point in trying to hide with Yazi around. The regular that had attacked him was keeping his attention for now but the fight appeared to be pretty one-sided. And when he was done there it was likely he'd turn on her next. Her eyes flicked back towards the regular who had snuck up on her.

If it seemed like she was trying to come to a decision on something, it was because that's exactly what she was doing. That much was plain to see on her face even through the wrappings. She very obviously wasn't good at hiding what she was thinking at all. In all likelihood Oisin would have been able to tell her decision before she said anything. "Fine. If you were lying you should have said something to get yourself out of danger."

She spoke to the golden eel, "Not food Yazi. But you can eat him if he makes any wrong moves." As the eel brought its head closer to the regular and stared at him with one of its large yellow eyes Nyra spoke up again. "Oh, and she's a female by the way."

As Oisin carried on the conversation, the surge of confidence from having Yazi appear began to trickle away. Having a giant eel by her side didn't make talking to someone easier, at least not when it looked like she wasn't going to be threatening him. As much as her instincts told her to be on guard, this regular's disarming way of speaking was working on her. He'd snuck up on her during a deathmatch between regulars and she had Yazi at her side. She should be letting Yazi tear him apart! But instead he was making her feel self-conscious. She was so stupid.

"It's short for Yazir'el," Nyra mumbled under her breath. "I am not paranoid! If anything you aren't paranoid enough. You do realize by what YOU just said that we're in the middle of a deathmatch between regulars right? Everyone should be running around trying to kill each other right now, so pardon me if it seems like I'm a little wary of you acting all friendly to someone you've never met before."

However irritated Nyra was with the strange boy, it was replaced by uncomprehending confusion when he suggested that they should go and talk to the two scary regualrs, and a moment later that was again replaced by shock as her mind finally wrapped itself what he'd just suggested. "Wait what! Talk to them? No way!" She took a step backwards reacting just to the idea of approaching that scary turtle-looking regular.

Her foot hit something hard: the compressed bowl Yazi had come out of. She'd dropped it when the regular had surprised her. Nyra picked it up and rubbed the dirt off if with her clothing. "Look at how many regulars that guy's already defeated. I won't let Yazi fight him, no way." She cocked her head to the side and looked up at the golden eel. "Uh Yazi, do you know how to get back inside this thing? Because I don't." The eel's yellow eye passed over Oisin and then the two other regulars nearby once more before it brought its head down to touch the sphere. The surface rippled like it was liquid and Yazi's body seemed to shrink as it came into contact with the bowl. A second later the entire giant eel had shrunk down and disappeared entirely into the orb Nyra held reverently. From that one look it was clear that the eel would be waiting to burst from the container again the moment Nyra was in danger. Usually Nyra felt comforted by the protection, and she did now, but for some reason she also felt something else as well. Like she was cheating somehow coming to climb the tower while being protected by Yazi. She wasn't any stronger than the regulars that had already been eliminated, she just had something protecting her.

"I won't let Yazi fight that guy, and he looks too dangerous for either of us to take on, unless you're hiding some super strength that doesn't show, especially around your muscles. I vote for putting as much distance as possible between those guys and us."

Tok listened to what Seefie had to say, while also overhearing some parts of the conversation between Osin and Nyra. He realised that they were not working together with Seefie and were merely hidding from something they considered a threat. He sighed, then he casually sat on the ground, cross legged. He raised his voice, but he maintained a calm tone: "I never attack first. On the other hand, if I am attacked, I will not show mercy. These individuals who you see on the ground learned that the hard way. Frankly, as long as no one attacks me, neither will I". The reason why he raised his voice was for Osin and Nyra to hear him better.

Tok took a short pause, then he looked Seefie right in eye and continued his little speech: ''I shall not respect people for the mere fact that they exist. They need to prove that they deserve respect. Only because of my appearance, these weaklings attacked me, considering me a threat. I tried talking to them, as I am talking to you right now, but it was pointless. Even after I showed them the difference in strength between me and them, they still brainlessly charged at me. They were weak, unskilled, unintelligent, and lacked survival instincts. I see no reason to show them my respect".

After he finished talking, the humanoid accel-turtle remained silent and stoic, not making a single move. He awaited the reactions and eventual replies of the other Regulars.

“Ah..hahahahaha! N-no, sto—,” Selicity burst into laughter as ticklish hands furiously rubbed her underside. She wasn’t used to being touched in such a way. It was new experience for the young Cat Sidhe. Cat’s didn’t expose their belly often and there hadn’t been anyone since her parents that touched her belly and it look all of Sel’s willpower not to lash out at Illiam. Soon though, Selicity began letting out purring sounds as Illiam’s hands slowed, gliding gently against her fur. Sel looked at the boy before her strangely. He sure said funny things.

“Have me?” Sel repeated. The small cat leapt onto Illiam’s arm and climbed onto his shoulder. “No, you can’t have me. I belong to me.”

Her claws dug into his shirt to keep herself steady. “But now that I let you rub my tummy, you’ll play with me right? You promised.”

Sel’s tail curved into a question mark as she scanned the grassy area. “I was really bored because no one would play with me.” She looked to Illiam. “What do you want to do? We can go hunting. I smell a turtle nearby. And lots of blood. Or we can fight. That’s always fun. This exam’s about fighting after all. Gotta cut the numbers down to half—,”

“All regulars cease Fighting!” A golden cube appeared in the sky. “The first part of exam has ended! Any regulars still fighting will be disqualified. ”

Sel pouted. “Already?”

“Congratulations to the 250 survivors! The second part will begin immediately! Rules are as follows: 1) Make 2 friends—no more, no less. 2)Be in physical contact with your friends, 3) Complete rules one and two before the time limit, which is 4 minutes, 4) Any who is not in physical contact with their friends when 4 minutes is up is disqualified. That is all! I wish you the best of luck regulars!”

After the voice of the examiner disappeared, a timer appeared on the cube’s screen.

The cat’s single eye widened and she pawed at Illiam’s shoulder. “Aww maaan! We’d better hurry and find someone before we get disqualified. First person we see will be our friend. Let’s go, go, go!”

"Hmm, I don't know," Nyra said without looking at Oisin. Her dark yellow eyes watched the turtle regular with contemplation. The other regular as well, but mostly the turtle. The female regular seemed easy enough to understand. The test was to fight other regulars, so that was what she did. The turtle was a complete dark spot by comparison. He was obviously strong, incredibly so, but she hadn't actually seen what he'd done to defeat so many opponents in such a short amount of time, and now he was claiming he did all of it out of self-defense. What was she supposed to make of him? It was probably her curiosity that made the decision for her.

"I think we should- Wait what? I'm not the l-leader!" For some reason being called leader made Nyra flustered. Sure she'd used Yazi to scare Oisin, but that didn't mean she wanted to be in charge of him! At least she didn't think so. Did it? Why did everything have to be so confusing. And she still had the nagging suspicion that Oisin was doing something to trick her every time he opened his mouth. Something about the way he talked, or maybe just the fact that he talked so much was putting her off her guard.

A golden cube appeared in the air informing them that the first test was done. Half of the regulars had been eliminated, and the remaining ones now had to make friends from the regulars that had just been their enemies to pass the next stage. There was only four minutes for the remaining regulars to find two partners to take on to the next phase.

Nyra looked to Oisin. He might not be much in the way of useful, but still he'd do. She doubted they'd let her count her eels as partners for whatever reasons. That left the turtle and the angry eared woman.

"Dibs on the turtle!" She yelled as soon as the voice faded, instantly appearing embarrassed about the outburst and hiding her face behind the glass-looking orb she carried. "Uh, that's not how I should have said that. Stupid me, I forgot tact." She mumbled to herself, but it was loud enough for Oisin beside her to hear.

-A reason? Is the fact that they were chosen for this not enough?-

As soon as Tok heard those words, his mind went blank for a moment. While he did technically hear what Seefie said afterwards, he did not , however, register it. Suddenly his expression changed to a fierce one, and he spoke on a tone which was a peculiar combination of sorrow, hatred, and rage: "NO! It is not enough! If people were worthy of respect merely because Headon chose them to climb the Tower, if all of them had morally correct intentions, if all of them were great people, then my entire race wouldn't have been annihilated by Inner Tower psychopaths, that you simingly hold in such high regard, you moron!". In his rage, Tok didn't pay attention to Seefie's attack. Her palm strike landed, and the accel-turtle fell on his back.

After Tok finally snapped out of it, he realised his position. For the first time ever, he looked at Seefie with cold eyes, that pierced like daggers. He no longer had mercy for her, and was about to make a completely serious attack. There were many paterns he could have used, but before he could do anything...

-All regulars cease Fighting! The first part of exam has ended! Any regulars still fighting will be disqualified. Congratulations to the 250 survivors! I wish you the best of luck regulars!-

So the first part of the test was over, and fighting was no longer necessary. Tok started breathing slowly, until he calmed down. As his usual cold, but calm expression reappreared on his face, the accel-turtle got up, convinced that the fox-eared woman in front of him wasn't stupid enough to attack him and risk disqualification. He then heard Nyra, who announced her desire to team up with him. The turtle humanoid had no reason to refuse. He casually walked away from Seefie and stood in front of Nyra.

"I am Tok Stonebreaker, and I accept to be your teammate" he said calmly, in a deep voice.

Illiam was only spurred on to further pet Selicity's tummy. So he continued to do just that, only now with a look of determination that could make one swear that Illiam was religiously devoted to petting Selicity's tummy. He continued, pushing his petting into maximum overdrive, even going as far as using two hand! The sensations, they soon became too much for Illiam. He slowed his petting, less his entire being overloaded with pure bliss.

As Illiam stopped the petting entirely, an action that he resented entirely, Selicity jumped from were she lay and landed on Iilliam's shoulder. Illiam was instantly filled with the burring desire to per her again. But if he started again, he would never stop. So Illiam had to, quite aggressively, hold back one hand from petting Selicity with his other hand. The boy had an internal war with himself. When Selicity declared that she belonged to no one but herself, Illiam had to hold back the urged to grab her and show her otherwise. Fine, she did not accept herself as Illiam's possession just yet, but she will learn, in time.

She began to ramble about the promise that Illiam had made before. Honestly he had no intent to keep it, he just wanted to pet Selicity. But the options on what to do next did sound fun. "Hey Selicity. Have you ever killed a man using the body of another man? It's something I have always wanted to try!" Illiam spoke his murderous tune with a child like tone, the words while heavy in nature came from his mouth light.

The happy train was soon cut short, though. Illiam heard a voice come from a golden cube above, stating that time was up. Illiam pouted along with Selicity, both equally disappointed at the lack of killing. However what the voice had to say held importance to just about everyone still alive. Selicity was there to further point out the importance of what the golden cube said by pawing at his shoulder. An action that Illiam wished Selicity did not cease. "Betting hang on. There are no stops on the friendship train!" Illiam broke into a wild sprint. Although, with the Amu race being a naturally slow one, Illiam had to force his body to move fast enough to catch up to someone. He moved in a straight line, he would have to come across someone sooner or later. As the clock ticked down to two minutes, many standing bodies became visible in the distance. Illiam kicked his butt into maximum speed, which was still nothing to write home about.

"fffffrrrrrrrrriiiiieeeeeennnnnddddddd!"

Illiam came running into the scene like a mad man, screeching like a banshee and foaming from the mouth, only slightly though. His eyes locked on one member, a girl with large fox ears. Curiousity filled his mind as Illiam wondered if her ears would feel as good as Selicity's divine tummy. Once she was in range, Illiam jumped into her.
