It has been 15 years since portals and large mysterious buildings appeared all over the world. These events brought upon environmental catastrophic events toward mankind. From the portals, monsters began pouring out and the only way to make the portal disappear is to clear the ‘dungeons’ inside the odd giant building that appeared in sync with the portal.

Along with the existence of monsters, there are also the awakenings of Hunters; these Hunters have the ability to fight against monsters using special weapons from ‘Gems’ and ‘Cores’ that the monsters drops and imbued with magic, the stronger the monster, the more powerful the armor or weapon that can be made from it.

Monsters ranged from Insectoids, beasts, reptiles, humanoids, demonic.

Their Ranks are sorted by E, D, C, B, A, S. And it applies to Dungeons as well as Hunter’s ranks. Humans are persistent bastards when it comes to survival but they don’t give any creativity when it comes to naming Ranks.

Healer, Tank, Magician, Warrior, Assassin, Ranger. These titles are given to an Awakened Hunter once their awakening and power had been confirmed, these titles can also evolve according to how the Hunter used their ability.

So far there are only fifteen known S rank Hunters in the entire world. A low number compared to the rise of intelligent monsters that had begun to resist Hunters.

It only took a short two years for humans to come down from the frightening catastrophic event. Nowadays, with Hunter’s ability as well as help from Hunter’s Associations, Portals can be predicted and Hunters would be sent to the area to prepare for battle.

Hell, Hunters can even ‘Buy’ a portal through the Association’s website. First come first serve.

There will be three teams for any mission regarding closing a portal. An assault team will go into a ‘Dungeon’ that will spawn near the portal and clear it, aka defeat the Boss.

A second assault team will enter the portal and secure the portal to make sure no monster will be able to go through the portal.

The third team will be Backup team. As soon as Assault team in the Dungeon beat the Boss, after an hour the portal will close.

There are three types of portal and their size varies according to their ranks. The larger the portal, the tougher the boss in the dungeon will be.

>Blue portal indicates E to D threats.

>Purple portal indicate C to B threats.

>Red portal is called as ‘The Wild’ because of its erratic nature and unpredictable spawn areas and range, its level of threats are A to S rank.

Depending on the Ranks of Hunters, they can live a luxurious lifestyle with their income and even become famous. Funny how the world is in a sense: ‘near collapsing and being dominated by monsters’ yet humans still prioritize the famous and wealthy, the same injustice system of Money over Everything.

E-Rank Hunters are considered the lowest

C to D are in the Medium Rank.

While B to A is high rank and targets of envy as well as admiration.

S is the supreme rank. They are powerful hunters ever known to mankind.

High risk, high return, even a D rank Dungeon could give each Hunter one Million per-raid.
…If they clear it and beat the Boss.

There are also ‘False Ranker’ Of the skilled Hunters, there were those that could control their own magic power if they wanted. Purposely lowering their magic power and they would receive a lower rank than they should…

Rumors had it that they are serial killers who enjoy slaughtering low ranked Hunters in low ranked Dungeons. Dungeons are the perfect place to commit a crime.

Mystic, also known as ‘Mystician’: They are Hunters whose DNA had been mutated by directly injecting monster’s liquid core into their system. This results in high resistance to several monster types.

But this came with a cost, they will constantly need to take a prescription to suppress the monster core inside of their system from going berserk, otherwise, they will die.

The risk of a Hunter turning into a Mystic is only 00.5 percent of survival; furthermore, it is an inhumane procedure. A large chunk of the Hunter’s body will be removed in order to fit a ‘Core’ to enhance their performance, mostly at the center of their chest.

[I hope that caught your interest, I've been wanting to do this for a while now and only got to post it now ^^ If you've noticed this is heavily inspired by Solo Leveling/Tomb Raider King. I just want to do my own twist~

The rules are pretty simple, be literate, don't be rude(in ooc) be active, no one liner, third person view.

Give your partners something to work with during your reply, group rp also means group effort, is it not~?

Damage calculation will be calculated by Dice tossing because we don't want people to go ham on their Hunter's powers by one-shotting everything. The higher the number you get, the more damage you dealt.]

Also, I do hope all 3 people won't choose 'A-S' Rank because where's the fun of exploring when you're overpowered in a low-level dungeon. Not all Hunters are powerful, keep that in mind. Leave some room for our character to develop.

There is also 'Official License' Card that needs to be made as soon as you submit your character(s) ^^ I haven't made any 'Character Submission' or RP Thread yet because I don't know if people are going to be interested by this. I don't trust 'Character Sheets' since we're going to be strangers anyway, so just leave a Summary of your character and a picture if you really wanna join~!]

Character summary: Venari is a quiet teenager who awakened one day after being sucked into a portal that appeared one night just as he was about to cross an intersection during his walk back from working at a convenience store. Light and lithe, upon being rescued after three days inside the portal, Venari is tested and given D-Rank and the Class, Assassin

At first, he refused to be a Hunter, but after several problems occur that caused his financial status to drop, Venari turned to be a full-fledged Hunter, finding it is really profitable, as long as you don't die.

Dagger with ice attribute is his choice of weapon, as well as a white revolver with thunder attribute.

I have a few questions: Are the hunters only human? Aside from the weapon having unique abilities, can the hunters have super-human like powers? How is the battling system determined?

Thanks in advance!

SachiGrl SachiGrl Yes, Hunters are only human and yes they have access to superpowers(tolerance to pain, ect) as well as 'RPG' skills like 'Stealth' that masked their presence. However, not all Hunters have the ability to have 'slots' for their Skills. Some only have one, some have none.

>Their strength depends on their Rank, even an E-Ranker is just a little stronger than a normal human.

>Arms and limbs can be regenerated by Healers, but they cannot revive a dead person.

The battle will be determined by Dice rolling and only in battle with the Boss that this will be implemented, the rest is up to common sense.

>If you want to attack, roll the dice: If it's lower than 3 then your attack will miss,

3-5 your attack will be blocked. (accuracy and attack will be changed depending on the type of dungeons and the level of Boss, ex: an ice dungeon or misty ones will lower accuracy so the number will rise and now 1-4 means that you will miss, meanwhile stronger Boss have higher chance to Block your attack.

5-10 your attack lands (Be it normal attack or attribute-based attack)

11-12 means that it is a critical hit so your damage will receive 2x bonus

>Hunter's Block/Evasion
The boss won't just sit there and wait, it will attack as well, thus the player has to roll dice to determine if it will hit them or not. Dungeon Boss has immunity to their own 'Dungeon' side effect like lowering accuracy. But that 'immunity' has weakness, it is somewhere on the Boss's body and if that breaks then the Boss will be affected by its own dungeon.

You have to choose whether to Block or to Evade.

>Block, roll one dice, 1-2 means that you failed to block

>Evasion, roll one dice, 1-2 means you failed to avoid the attack(s)

>Hunter's Attack
> The damage will be calculated according to the dice's number. Just remember that Rank still applies to Damage.
From min-roll to max-roll without weapons
E-Ranker's damage 50-70 at most
D-Ranker's damage 100-170 at most
C-Ranker's damage 160-220 at most
B-Ranker's damage 360-520 at most
A-Ranker's damage 590-860 at most
S-Ranker's damage 940-??? (they're basically god-tier)

>Hunter's HP/Mystic
>Hunters are a human being, thus they do not have HP bar. A high fall will still break a neck if they landed incorrectly.

>Mystic has high resistance to mortal wound and status effects.

>Status Effects
>Poison
>Paralyze
>Stun

>Dungeon/Bosses
>Modern equipment such as phones or normal gun does not work inside a Dungeon

>Dungeons are unpredictable, you could end up in freezing Dungeon or for some reason a really dangerous Dungeon along with lava flowing through it.

>Dungeon doors will not open if the headcount is less than 10

>Health bar, Bosses's health bar varies by rank but they are tough nonetheless and the lowest, which is E-Rank Boss is 5000HP

Thanks for the clarification! I think I'll pass.
