Within this magical medieval fantasy world that im cooking up. Titles are everything to everyone...
Originally, the gods gave this unique power to the first rulers of Aerth. For only a King or a Queen should be the one to bestow a title upon someone. For generations it was only royal blood able to gift or curse another with nothing but words.
A established ally, a worthy champion, family and indviduals close to the rulers being those lucky enough to receive the power that comes from royal words...
Criminals, pests or anyone that royalty viewed distastefully would be cursed accordingly...

But eventually the phenomenon of Royal words became diluted. It was slowly discovered that any man woman or child with a title could label another. Eventually even that became diluted...

As when enough people call someone something. It soon sticks...
This is how unfortunate souls are cursed by informal titles...

"Garfield the shit" was a cranky old man with a bad back, after 20 years of being called shit behind his back and to his face... Garfield Burbon literally turned into living shit one day. His back doesn't hurt any more but that's not the issue any more is it?

Of course this is the power and danger of informal titles.
Especially when enough people label or describe someone in inhuman ways.
"She fights like a thunderstorm"
"The strength of a golem"
"Roars like a dragon"

Its said that "indviduals with informal titles often become their title in form or power"
This rp is about a guild of warriors each with a title given to them by someone of royal blood/association "a formal title"
Or someone who was talked about alot to gain "a informal title"
Either way these characters should be named after animals, monsters and other such shit.
Lydia the thunderstorm,
Burt the golem,
Dragon Leon,
Waboe the wolf, etc etc

Said guild is one of mercenaries ranked higher than Gidguud's strongest knights. They are hired by all manner or people from royal or humble blood.

the opening quest being to catch a dangerous trio of criminals who escaped during transport to a underground prison. But much more shit is in store with optional side quests made by me or the players.

Post requirements is two paragraphs or more once a week. The cut off will be eight players but I'm happy to start if I get six acceptable sheets.
