  • I typically write anywhere from 300-1,000 words. 300-500 words are typically reserved for role-plays where there is a lot more back and forth and frequent posts. Expect at least a reply every 1-2 days. 500-1,000 words are for role-plays where we post once every few days. Let me know your preferred posting speed and length. Longer posts will take more time for me to write.
  • I don't like excessive gore. However, character death is totally fine to write out.
  • M/M is what I typically write for both OC/OC and OC/Canon. Feel free to ask me about doubling if you're interested. There's a separate thread for that.
  • High fantasy is my go-to genre for most things, but I am open to something more grimdark, modern, or futuristic.
  • I ask that all my partners be over 18.
• 
  The War of Wrath was the largest battle seen at the end of the first era between the forces of Valar and Morgoth, the first Dark Lord. The war lasted for 40 years, and while the Valar and their allies drew closer to victory, Morgoth on the verge of defeat, released his ultimate weapon. In a torrent of thunder and fire, winged dragons; the likes never seen before on Middle-earth, tore the skies asunder.
  
  Eärendil, alongside Thorondor and the Eagles, rode into battle and defeated the great beasts. It was his blow that struck down their captain: the mighty Ancalagon the Black.
  
  Though Eärendil's success was foretold by prophecy, a portion of his story had long since been forgotten. It was an Alqualondë lord who advised Eärendil to fit one of the Silmarils on his forehead, and it was he who charged alongside him to do battle with the dragons. However, having betrayed his clan by setting foot on Middle-earth, he was banished to never return to Valinor.
  
  Following the end of the war, he vanished and disappeared into obscurity, along with most records of him. However, in recent years, a single prophecy foretelling his return surfaced in Mirkwood.
  
  Inscribed in an ancient scroll was an account of the coming apocalypse. When the wings of dragons will once more blot out the sun, and destruction rain down from the heavens, a savior will emerge; basked in the shadow of the moon, and eyes aglow. The last part of the prophecy, written in Primitive Quendian, took Thranduil and his son, Legolas, to Lake-town in search of the tomb of Nînaelchon.

  • I currently have a craving for angst and hurt. I'm honestly open to writing "bad ends" or where our characters at the end don't end up together. However, I am also a sucker for "good ends" where our characters do manage to make things work and stay together in the end. Whatever the case, let me know what you feel about this.
    • As far as angst and hurt goes, I'm looking for someone willing to write a character who ends up hurting my character in the worst possible ways. For example: infidelity and unrequited love. See my example plots for more details!

  My characters fall into three general categories:
  
  • The Stoic
    • Cool, calm, taciturn, and mostly emotionally unexpressive.
      • However, he is perhaps the most emotional of all the characters I tend to play. He is deeply affected by hurt, but his pride does not allow him to crumple into a soggy pile. He is the sort of character who would rather drown in silence than let others worry about his suffering.
    • Could possibly have a sailor's mouth.
  • The Golden Boy
    • Gorgeous, out-spoken, kind, and seemingly perfect.
      • Secretly has some amount of self-isolation and loneliness from a dysfunctional upbringing, or the immense success of his career. He is surprisingly resilient, though it would be a lie to say that it doesn't chip away at him. He is surprisingly self-deprecating who often is unsatisfied with the direction of his love life.
    • Could possibly be kind of an airhead.
  • The Villain
    • Charming, devious, intelligent, and venomous.
      • Essentially a rose with thorns who at the start of the role-play already has some expectations and barriers. He is emotionally reactive should he be betrayed, and probably won't hesitate to give people a piece of his mind.
    • Could also be rather manipulative.

  Soulmates
  The Perfect Pair
  
  • Soulmates in this universe randomly experience dreams of each other's daily life. YC believes he does not have a soulmate and either: 1) makes the most of it with someone who is in a similar situation as him or 2) engages in frequent casual encounters and short-term relationships. MC receives visions of these instances and is deeply hurt by it.
  In Our Last Lives
  
  • A rejected soulmate carries the burden of an unmistakable mark across their chest and over their heart. And this mark follows them into their next life. The mark becomes unbearably hot every time their soulmate is nearby; a reminder that their soulmate has repelled them completely. YC wants to get close to MC, but the actions of his past has followed him into the present, and he is unsure how to fix it.
  Hope You're Happy
  
  • Soulmates in this universe have their pinkies tied together by a long red string of fate. MC is the only one thus far to be able to see this string. YC and MC are childhood best friends. One day, YC reveals that he has fallen in love with a mutual friend of theirs and wishes more than anything to be their fated pair. MC holds out for the next couple of years in hopes that YC will eventually realize they are soulmates, but their relationship has not gone much further. Instead, YC and their mutual friend has started to date, and they are in talks of getting married. Heartbroken, MC undoes his string and ties it around their mutual friend who lacked a soulmate of their own. In doing so, MC inadvertently shattered his sense of being. Meanwhile, YC and their mutual friend are going through a falling out. YC is eventually horrified and disturbed to find his best friend has changed beyond recognition.
  Darkness Within
  
  • In this universe, half the population is comprised of angels who are paired with a human. For whatever reason, YC, an angel, mistook his charge for someone else. In his act of betrayal, MC is forced to undergo a painful metamorphosis and is reborn a demon. Demons in this universe are wronged humans who have been betrayed by their angels one way or another. Though some demons have reconciled with their angels and live a relatively normal life, others have chosen to spend the rest of their life, hunting down their angels for their hearts: the only known cure of their metamorphosis. MC is one of these demons.
  Another lifetime
  
  • YC is from a future where MC died young. This might have been caused by his betrayal, or perhaps an inevitable event. The moment he sees MC again, alive and well, YC openly expresses his love and does everything in his power to make his feelings known. MC is not certain why YC knows so much about him, but is blessed all the same to have such a loving soulmate. Things come crashing down when MC learns of his past betrayal, and/or is killed once again by an inevitable event.
