Everything started hundreds of years ago, during the Victorian Era. One night, Phineas' family died in a fire. Desperate to somehow bring them back, he turned to an alchemist, who claimed to be able to send him back in time to save his family. The alchemist gave him an old pocket watch and told him that the time he'd jump forwards or backwards depended on the tiems he'd turn the crown. What he forgot to mention, however, was that the effect would only show later, as soon as Phineas consciousness would fade, either by blacking out or falling asleep.
Phin tried it, but, as he didn't know it would take some time, thought the so-called time machine was broken and threw the old watch into the nearby lake.
Now, with the watch laying on the ground of the lake, the waves and currents are turning the crown, sending
him uncontrollably forwards and backwards in time.
Enter B, who has been living in the modern world we know all her life. One day, out of thin air, Phineas, drenched in water and unconscious, appears in front of het. In an attempt to help, B carefully tries to shake him awake.
He does wake up, for just a second, but as he loses consciousness again just seconds later, while B is still touching him, they both get dragged into another time.
To return to their respective times they'd have to retrieve the watch from the ground of the lake, but that's easier said than done if you wake up in another time every morning. And what happens if these two people, from completely different times, actually start to feel like they belong together?

So if you are too tired to speak,
sit next to me,
for I, too, am fluent in silence.

Phineas was currently in a bit of a... Predicament, so to say. More precisely, he was hiding in the hollow trunk of a tree, praying that the Inquisitors wouldn't find him here. A rather unfortunate row of events had led to him appearing out of thin air right in the middle of a busy, medieval marketplace, with a shotwound in his side causing a quickly growing blood stain on his white shirt and brandishing a revolver that- of course- went off from the impact of him hitting the ground.
The loud bang startled the living hell out of every soul within earshot, but who he truly felt sorry for was the poor lad whose shoulder he'd accidentally shot.
Needless to say it didn't sit well with the superstitious people of the late middle ages, who were quick to conclude that he must be a witch.
He couldn't blame them, really, and under different circumstances he would've made sure to hide somewhere until they'd give up the search and go to look after the poor guy, but having to run from an angry mob while losing more blood by the minute did force him to sort out his priorities.

There was a faint rattle to his breath as the pressed one hand to his injured side. As it came out sticky and red he furrowed his eyebrows; at this rate he'd bleed to death within the next two hours... Probably less, he concluded upon noticing the edges of his vision growing blurry.
The medical knowledge of this time, or lack thereof, wouldn't be of any help, and although he knew that he'd appear someplace, sometime else, as soon as he'd fall unconscious, it didn't make him feel any better. After all, there was no guarantee that he'd appear somewhere someone would be able and willing to help him.
If this wasn't one good reason to get the morbs... But now wasn't the time to be sulking.

The silence that had settled over the forest was a relief, although only a temporary one. Even with the mob gone, he was still, well, bleeding to death. He needed to dress that wound, and quick!
Ever so silently he climbed out of his hiding spot, but the dizziness getting stronger sent him falling.
Right on his side.
"Are you for real?!", he growled at no one in particular as he fought to get up and push on, back towards the village where he'd hopefully be able to hide long enough to stop himself from dying.

He sneaked through the narrow alleys, dodging puddles of what might have been the contents of chamber pots emptied just a couple of hours ago, and ducked into the shadow of a bakery. The cart of a barber surgeon caught his eye and he released a long sigh. He'd be safe... For now.
He hated what he was about to do, but he was kind of running out of time, so he hurried over to the everything but trustworthy looking wagon, let himself in and, in one swift motion, locked the door behind him and pointed his revolver at the dumbstruck man in front of him.
"I need your help. ... Please", he added for politeness sake. The bullet had gone straight through his side, one less thing to worry about, but when he watched the man heat up a flat iron plate on a stick he knew he had no reason to be relieved.
"W-what are you- AARGH!!"
Well he hadn't seen it coming that this doctor would save him by cauterizing his injury.

Half a minute went by with Phineas panting, trying to breathe the pain away, before a familiar voice shouted for the doctor to open the door. The inquisitor. Oh great. Just splendid.

And so he found himself standing at a pier with his hands and feet shackled with simple ropes. They were going to test whether or not he was a witch by throwing him into the water. If they'd retrieve him alive they'd burn him.
Never before had he been so glad that falling unconscious meant disappearing to another time for him.
And so, when the black water of the sea swallowed him and he felt his senses fade, he just prayed that he'd appear somewhere safe.

She had hummed to herself as she cleaned. Yes, cleaned. She had major problems with her house being a mess, since of babysitting her nieces toddler for the past week which had caused chaos and destruction, and having to take care of a shedding dog which left clumps of hair in the corners of each room. Tulip, had a busy schedule that had consisted of walking her dogs, working, babysitting and making sure that she never let anyone down. Work had kept her busy the most. At such a young age she decided that oh, why not and make it to where i have no fun and free time. She had scoffed as she thought, even though she didn’t really regret anything that she did. Her father owned his own company while her mother was a stay at home mom, but had recently divorced and nobody knew where she was; but that didn’t bother Tulip one bit.

Currently, Tulip had just gotten done grocery shopping since she had nothing to eat, and when she said nothing, she meant absolutely nothing. She maybe had a box of cereal left. Packing away the cold food and lastly the food that went into the pantry. Luckily for her, he didn’t have work for the rest of the day, nor tomorrow since she was offered to take off for a day, since she worked basically 24/7. She decided to go to the beach, as it was just a couple minutes away; walking distance.

Throwing on her swimsuit, and a simple dress used as a cover-up. She grabbed a water out of her fridge and headed down to the beach. Humming to herself as she walked down, she sat on the dry part but close enough to the water. She liked how warm it was outside, and enjoyed the breeze as well.

"Honey! Luna, look who's home!"
Phineas grinned widely as his five-year-old daughter came running into his arms, happy to have her daddy back.
"Sweetieee", he chuckled as he lifted her up and showered her face in little pecks before he pulled his wife into his arms and gave her a loving kiss.
"What have you two been up to all day?"
"I learned how to do a cartwheel!"
Smiling warmly, Eliza leaned into his arms as she gently stroked a streak of hair out of his face. "She wanted to show you before going to bed."
"Of course! Go on!" Phineas flashed an excited smile as he put his daughter back down for her to proudly show him what she had learned.
"Wooow! Awesome, sweetie", he said, applauding while the little girl beamed with pride.
He was just helping her put on her nightgown when weird flashes appeared in his field of vision.
Dizziness overtook him and suddenly, Eliza and Luna and their little house on the meadow were fine, replaced by darkness and cold.

Phineas' eyes flashed open as he realized that he was under water.
With the last bit of energy remaining in his beaten and battered body he fought to push through the pain and exhaustion, gasping as his head broke through the water surface.

It must have been quite the sight, a pale man with dark rings under his eyes and long, black hair, dressed in a Victorian suit drenched in fresh blood and soaking wet, stumbling out of the ocean like he had just appeared out of nowhere. Which he, quite literally, had.

He could feel the unconsciousness threatening to take him over again, whether it was exhaustion, lack of air or blood loss, he couldn't tell, but he knew that he needed to hold on, at least until he would've found someone who'd help him.

His tired, storm loud gray gaze landed on the person closest to him, a young woman who looked utterly perplexed by his sudden and quite startling appearance, but he could feel that there was no time left for formalities. Just where, or rather when... Was he? These people were shockingly exposed...
He blinked, quite surprised, before he approached the lady.
"Excuse me..."
His voice was barely more than a hoarse whisper.
"I might need some help..."
