Welcome to the Dawson Creek Prehistoric Park!
Originally, the Dawson Creek theme park franchise was solely like any other: all entertainment was in the form of carnival games and rollercoaster rides. However, behind the scenes, the company had its hands in a lot of different ventures. Food, hotels, apps, and- even more secretive -more scientific exploits. When one such project completed and was found to be able to successfully reproduce prehistoric creatures through genetic engineering, Dawson Creek Enterprises was ecstatic.
So, of course, their first response was to build a park around it.
The Dawson Creek Prehistoric Park is built on a remote island, kept quiet to everyone but investors until the very last second. It was in development for 2 years, the intent to create a park filled with prehistoric creatures for all ages, incorporating both wonder and fear into their attractions. Dakotaraptors, eurypterids, mastodonsaurus, and plenty more were created with their entertainment value in mind. When the time finally came, the park was announced 3 months before its official opening.
Which leads us to now: the big preview. Investors, lottery winners, employees, reporters, and others were invited to the big event to see what the park was all about and drum excitement. A big sleep-over style event, using the welcoming center and hotel lodgings. No cell phones, no laptops, no contact with the outside world to spoil the experience. Even with phones, there would be no cell signal, and the wi-fi has only been given to those at the top of the company ladder. What could go wrong?
Time After Time is a horror-survival plot inspired by Jurassic Park. It follows the group of people invited to a preview event for a new park centered on prehistoric creatures, meant as a saving grace for a theme park company that's close to going under. A big storm is coming, though- literally. When disaster strikes and there's no help in sight, what's to be done?
The RP will have horror and suspense themes, along with a focus on character-driven plot. There will be mysteries, hidden locations, and more along the way. Will characters be able to find a way off the island, or is it a matter of surviving long enough for someone to notice they're missing?
Roles are more suggestions than anything else! Feel free to pitch any ideas you may have to me. The character sheet section will be posted after enough interest is shown!
ROLES
investors. Investors are people who have been involved in funding the park from the beginning. Being invited to the event is them being able to see the fruits of their labor...or, more accurately, their money.[/font][/border][/border]
journalists. Journalists have been invited to the event to prepare to talk about the park, hopefully in a positive light. Publicity is important when starting up a new venture, after all!
lottery winners. Lottery winners are normal people who have won the various giveaways for tickets to the event.[/font][/border][/border]
employees. The employees vary. People catering the event, tour guides, assistants, and anyone needed to work the event would fall under this role.
scientists. People who worked on the genetic experiments, engineering, or other more scientific aspects of the park were invited to say thank-you for their work.
other. Any other role your mind can conjure up that would fit! Feel free to run them by me.[/font][/border][/border]

two. No posting order, but please post at least once a week to keep the rp going.
three. Not first come, first serve; while there are no set number of acceptances at this point in time, I do want to check that characters will work in the rp. Rather than deny people outright, though, I'm willing to help fix sheets so that they can be accepted.
