Government: human governing is the worst plague. Never got to see the government of his people
Religion: his religion has many factions. Many of his people follow a polytheistc doctrine that can be described further in rp. The older factions are making a resurgance to back him and other rebellion military leaders as well as the prospective new Ahresh Governess. He, however, dislikes religion and is atheistic.
Technology: he is able to learn quickly and enjoys the assistance of advanced tech.
Backstory: Ha'zai grew up in prison camps. The only tales of the outside he has are from those inside the walls. The Ahresh were once a very strong people, but a peaceful one. His species hadn't produced weapons in centuries. When humans arrived, they were quickly overrun.
Ha'zai was born to an Ahresh mother and a human father, both of whom are presumed dead after their disappearance shortly following Ha'zai's birth. No one is truly sure if he is a product of a loving union or a violent assault, though the Collective Initiative advertises him as the product of a loving union.
As a pre-teen, he helped to organize his first prison break. In the end, the plans were discovered and, as punishment, he was violently mutilated by prison guards resulting in extensive scarring that covers the majority of his back. The guards, knowing that the Ahresh took particular pride in the intricate patterns that decorate their backs, destroyed the patterning on Ha'zai in an attempt to further separate him from his people.
At thirteen, after the prison he was interred in was raided and destroyed by slave traders, he spent weeks alone in the wilds of Proxima. During a scheduled sweep of the area by Collective Initiative forces, he was found by a squad of soldiers and taken in by Ka'ala Darjo- the Ahresh Collective Initiative fleet admiral. Ka'ala cared for him for a time, encouraging him to train under one of her favored commanders. He agreed and was a fully fledged soldier before his fourteenth birthday. He spent the following years assisting in prison raids by inserting himself into the prison camps and organizing the inmates into squadrons in the weeks before allied forces arrived to initiate the siege.
When he was nineteen, he found himself disillusioned and bitter towards the cause he thought was going nowhere. He fled to the massive space city of Lo where he spent his time working as an armed guard for an illegal weapons dealer. When he discovered the dealer he was protecting was supplying weapons to the human side of the war, he returned to the Fleet and continued to engage in siege warfare. Between the ages of twenty and twenty-five, he developed a signature method to destroy prison camps: landmines linked to a biometric sensor that triggered when he crossed a sensor line during the siege. It left no survivors and assured that the camp would never be used again.
Due to his upbringing, he has grown to hate humans, viewing nearly all of them as a direct threat. In every instance of interaction with a human outside of the political sphere, he is likely to respond with direct hostility. Because of his slight visible differences thanks to his human genes, and his highly public lifestyle, he has unknowingly become deified by a splinter group of Ahresh who still practice the old form of the Proxinian global religion. The group refers to him as "Taarak", an ancient word meaning "Deliverer" as he embodies the ideals and image of the savior of the ancients. Modern religion on his planet is more philosophical and didn't have a prophesied savior. But after the human invasion, the old ways began to make a resurgence, backing Ha'zai and his ability to gather rebellious forces and troops as well as Ka'ala Darjo, now the potential new Governess and fleet Admiral.
