[This is Post End Game. Loki starts growing horns the longer he stays in his Jotun form, because I love Jotun!Loki with horns]

Death had never been an option for Loki. He had only ever accepted the option once in his entire existence, and that hadn’t exactly ended in his favor. So when he had knelt before Thanos with the intent to attack the Titan, he knew his attempt would be nothing more than a momentary distraction. It was all they had needed, those extra few minutes of distraction so Brunnhilde could get the last of their people off to safety, but he knew he didn’t have the slimmest chance of survival. The thing about Loki that so many seemed to overlook however, was that he hadn’t just /given/ himself the title ‘God of Mischief’, he had /earned/ it. Redirection, illusions, lies: These were all things that Loki had mastered better than any living being in the Nine Realms, and there were only a handful of sorcerers more talented with Seidr than him. When the moment came, and he felt himself losing consciousness in Thanos’ grip, he set off a chain reaction of spells and enchantments he had prepared just hours before, and let himself slip into the inky blackness of nothing.

He had woken up in the wastelands of Jotunheim a month later, a Jotun runt, gravely injured and without any memories of his past. He was found and nursed back to health by a group of Jotuns who had been plotting against the crown for decades. Six years later found Loki as the second in command to the new king of Jotunheim, working tirelessly to help those who had vanished and returned to rebuild their lives, as well as helping the king rebuild their kingdom. Today, Loki had been sent off-world to negotiate a new treaty with Vaniheim in his king’s stead. He had insisted on the arrangement because he had gotten word that New Asgard’s hero, Thor Odinson, was visiting Vaniheim as well. While Jotunheim and New Asgard were at peace, Loki wasn’t willing to risk the life of his king. He was currently sitting next to Vaniheim’s queen, enjoying the feast and pleasant conversation around him.
