my name is thich and i'm nineteen. i've been rping for just over a decade and, since quarantine, have been getting back into writing outside of rping so expect a quality boost in my posts : )
i'm currently on a gap year while i figure out exactly what i want to get out of university and, in the meantime, am working full-time doing communications stuff for a small business. work days are hellish, but i can generally get a post out every 1-2 days and i'm pretty good at letting you know if it's going to be much longer than that.
my favourite part about rps is always the characters so get ready for me to never shut up about them once we get started. because of this, ooc chatting is an absolute must. we need to be able to vibe and get excited over what we're writing about. i promise i don't bite so don't stress too hard about this part.
love of language required
minimum 2 paragraphs [if you're able to give a super engaging single paragraph, i'm down for that. i've just never seen it done lmao]
i have a penchant for realistic settings, but down for anything
thread, pm, or discord i don't have a preference
pairings -- mxm, mxf, fxf, tho keep in mind i mostly write male characters
eighteen plus --
sorry to all the underage rpers, i'm just not super comfortable w it
realistic faceclaims --
just don't really vibe w anything else
muse a is an unfulfilled, desk-bound intelligence officer that begrudgingly tends to heaps of paperwork rather than being a spy and tracking down assassins like they dream about. when muse b, an elusive, talented killer, sends shockwaves through government agencies, muse a’s fantasy meets reality.
they end up in a meeting about the string of murders committed across the continent and vocalize a far-fetched theory about the killer. everything muse a stated eventually checks out, and they are appointed head of a secret, off-the-books department to find muse b. the desk-bound agent's curiosity is finally stimulated, their dream opportunity presented.
soon, muse’s a mission turns into an obsession for muse b. But at what cost? can they actually live with the reciprocated obsession of a serial killer? random expensive gifts, cryptic messages, and strange happenings to the ones closest to muse a begin to occur and both muse a and muse b begin to lose sight of their initial objectives, becoming inextricably linked to one another’s worlds.
muse a is a family man/woman and has been since the day they turned twenty. they have the perfect nuclear family, an incredibly successful career, and a home in california. a mistaken wrong-number text sends their life into chaos when muse b enters their life—a person who essentially blows muse a's mind for reasons that we can negotiate. overall just a very rare person who muse a finds absolutely irresistable. though muse a is married and muse b is half their age, they live in new york, and muse a does have that business trip coming up soon...
in a world where when you kill someone, you gain their remaining years. of course, you have people who kill messily and end up imprisoned for two-hundred years—those are the stupid ones. it hasn’t taken society long to realize that living a long time isn’t ideal—seeing your family die is something horrible and macabre. however, a new class emerges—hitmen. they are their own class, quiet and deadly and unspoken—the highest society, hundreds of years together.
muse a is one of those hitmen. well, they're well on their way. they haven't even made it past thirty yet, but they don't intend to die anytime soon. eager to network and make their way up the ranks of the hitmen, they're ecstatic to land a job for an extremely high-profile mortal politician. they get less excited when they get their exact job description.
muse b is the rebellious child of the aforementioned political figure and the job is essentially babysitting. the business connection has way too much potential for muse a to pass up and if they have to duct tape this twenty-something to a chair in a basement so muse b doesn't get themselves assassinated before muse a gets paid, so. be. it.
