Hello and welcome to the They're Here CS thread. I just want to say thank you for taking an interest, it took a while for me to build up the world we will be RPing in. Here are the things required for your character sheet:

Backstory:
Having lived in a crime-ridden family Peter learned physical combat at a very young age. He was trained how to use guns and knives, create bombs, and much more. His father, the leader of the local gang in their town trained him to become a member. By the age of 16, after around 4 years of training, he was finally done and an expert at hand-to-hand combat. But, much to his father's dismay, he wanted nothing to do with the gang and left with his brother the moment he was old enough to live on his own. He lived a normal life, getting jobs at grocery stores to buy food and afford the apartment he and his brother shared. Right before the invasion he and his brother were out shopping, and they both set out for a safe haven (which ended up being overrun anyway) as soon as they heard it existed. On the way, his brother was killed and Peter decided to stay where he was since traveling was dangerous. Currently, he has a little camp set up in an abandoned apartment complex.

Personality:
Peter is very friendly and loyal but has extreme trust issues. He won't let anyone know him well and will push people away when shown even a little affection. He tends to be soft-spoken when approaching people and acts submissive if someone is threatening him. This is all an act though, he really just doesn't want to fight but will beat the heck out of anyone who tries to hurt him. He tends to be very protective over people that he likes and will probably take a bullet for someone if they're nice, although he hates being used, and if he is he wouldn't hesitate to smile while they bleed out in front of him. The only times he gets aggressive is when someone or something he loves is threatened, or you managed to make him angry by being a lil b. He usually is able to keep calm so it is rare to see him angry.

Extra: Peter has a permanent limp from having suffered a bullet to the leg in his past. He also has anxiety issues and is sensitive to loud noises. He carries a gun and a collection of knives. He loves his knives and will often times clean them even if they aren't dirty. He isn't very strong, like at all, if he was pinned to the ground he couldn't do anything against someone with slightly above average strength. He is hard to catch though and will use speed against others.

Danaper Williams was born into a family that had served in the military for many generations. For the early years of his life he was abused by his family, it was horrible and wrong, but there was one thing that was good for him that came out of it, he had become stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally, after many years of rebellion against his family, and attempting to get stronger to commit homicide on them. When he had turned 16 he ran away from his family, and they never saw him again. The next two years of his life was a struggle to find his place in the world, but one day when he was 18 he saw a poster for military propaganda, so he decided he would join the army. He worked for six months before finishing boot camp and becoming a toxic/poisonous environment specialist (basically he goes into enemy controlled locations filled with poisonous gas.) After serving for 6 years the apocalypse had come, luckily he was prepared for such things due to his military experience. Though it was not as easy as he thought it would be, he has survived so far for 1 year in the apocalypse.
Personality:
Danaper Williams does not talk much, he prefers to solve problems with his rifle and/or fists rather than through diplomacy. He also is very strategic and thinks of every fight as if it were a military battle, so he usually leaves nobody alive. Danaper Williams also hates those who are privileged or rich, and usually leaves their head on a spike.
In this post-apocalyptic world, Danaper lives his life as a marauder, so he needs a good reason not to shoot and loot someone before letting them live. Danaper is always repairing and improving his armor and weapons, as he hates bad looking and bad working armor and weapons. He also tends to make more enemies than friends.

Name: Logan Carter

Background:

Logan is the product of a dysfunctional relationship. Growing up her she was used to her parents arguing and rarely saw them enjoying each other's company. When she was six her father left home to pursue his dream of becoming a rock star and never returned home. Logan was never really close to her father as he often spent his time either drinking with his band bodies or arguing with her mother. Her father leaving caused Logan's mother to resent her because in her mind if it wasn't for Logan she would have been able to complete college and achieve more in life.

Her mother supported them by using men for money. Even though her mother had numerous boyfriends Logan never saw her in a stable relationship. With her father gone and her mother being physically present but mentally absent Logan was left to raise herself. This caused Logan to toughen and she quickly adopted the mindset that it was a dog eat dog world and if she wanted to survive she'd have to only look out for herself. She mimicked her mother's behavior and entered many relationships searching for the love she missed out on. These relationships never lasted long as she found herself unable to connect with people.

When the invasion started she and her then-boyfriend tried to survive together. Everything was going fine until one night a monster managed to enter their safe haven. They were escaping when her boyfriend tripped and fell, instead of saving him, Logan decided to save herself leading to his demise. Although she tried to bury what happened that night, deep down Logan still feels guilty for his death.

Personality:

Growing up with a mother who viewed Logan as the bane of her existence caused Logan to feel deep self-loathing. She doesn't believe she is worthy of love or happiness and sabotages anything good in her life. Her mother's detachment from her and her father's abandonment also caused Logan to develop abandonment issues. She fears being abandoned which is why she tries her hardest to prevent people from getting too close to her.

Logan is loyal to no one but herself. There are no lengths she is not willing to go to ensure her own survival. She can side with anyone if it means she comes up on top. Logan is charming and has no trouble striking up a conversation. She uses her charm as a weapon to manipulate people into doing what she wants them to do. She is very suspicious of other people and rarely lets her guard down because she thinks being vulnerable will always end in her getting hurt.

Logan is selfish, her selfishness contrasts against her ability to heal people. To Logan, her ability is somewhat useless as she wouldn't go out of her way to heal someone if it didn't benefit her in some way.

Extras: Logan always carries knives with her. She isn't great in hand-to-hand combat and is more comfortable using knives and guns to win a fight. She is small and uses this to her advantage to fit into tight spaces.

Name: Jun Aphelion
Age: 23

Backstory:
His life was considerably tragedy-filled. Raised with just Jun and his father after his mother died when Jun was 7. Money was tight, so at 16 Jun dropped out of school to help his father. When he was 17, he was struck by lightning, blinding him in his right eye and nearly blinding him in the left. This made Jun quit his job and lead to him focusing on trying to echolocate. To keep from peeking, and to protect his eyes from the elements, Jun wrapped a bandage over his eyes.

He quit his job not because he was essentially blind, but because his coworkers had started to take advantage of his disability. This lead to his heavy distrust in new people being heightened and burned into him.


Personality:
Jun is on the quieter side, especially after the incident, often only nodding or shaking his head as a response. He has a gruff exterior, but once one gets to know him, Jun is quite affable. He's a natural leader, but Jun never works with anyone out of fear of judgment. Jun's fear of others' thoughts of him is what makes him hostile towards strangers and hard to get to know. It's very likely that he'll try to avoid new people.

Due to his reliance on sound for seeing, he has grown to fear bodies of water. Even though he can swim, Jun can't see and it terrifies him, just as large clearings do. If he does ever have anyone close to him, Jun often becomes clingy and borderline dependent, using them as a guide.

Looking past his walls and facade, Jun is very clingy and heavily dependant on any friend or partner he has. Often seen hugging, holding, or even just grabbing onto their clothing. If he has someone close to him, Jun will constantly seek reassurance to make sure he hasn't made a mistake.

Extra: He has scarring from his right eye down to his upper arm on the right side from the lightning strike. He's easy to startle which could easily cause a panic attack.

Name: Emerald Amore
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Ability: Invader

Background:

Emerald was born into a middle-classed family. Growing up her parents showered her and her brother with love and affection. Emerald remembers the early years of her life fondly and can't remember ever being really sad or in need of anything. Her life changed drastically when her mother got into a fatal car accident. It was as if the day her mother died she took Emerald's father with her. Her father fell into a deep depression and used alcohol to numb the pain. Eventually, social services came into the picture and took Emerald and her brother away.

Emerald was forced to live with her Aunt who was her sister's mother. Her aunt wasn't mean she was actually very loving and reminded Emerald of her mother. Her staying at her aunt was supposed to be temporary, however, her father was never able to clean up his act. As the years rolled by the contact, he had with his children dwindled. To him, his children were a constant reminder of his deceased wife, especially Emerald who was the spitting image of her mother.

Emerald and her brother Jasper grew closer as they relied on each other a lot to deal with the pain of losing their mother. The invasion caused Emerald to experience another great loss in her life. In the early days she, her aunt, and her brother lived together in a safe haven. However, a huge argument broke out between Emerald and Jasper causing Jasper to go on his own. Emerald was urged by her aunt to look for him and she was about to do that when a horde attacked the town they were staying at. This resulted in her aunt's death and put further distance between Emerald and Jasper as she ran in the opposite direction to evade the horde. To this day Emerald is unsure if her brother is alive or dead and it is something that haunts her.

Personality:

Losing a mother at a young age and also somewhat losing her father made Emerald rely solely on her brother for support. She doesn't like to rely on anyone else as she feels as if her brother is the only person she can trust. Emerald is very distrusting of new people and it takes her a while to open up to others.

It's hard to decipher her true feeling on a topic as she uses sarcasm and sass to hide her emotions. Under all the attitude she has a person will soon realize that Emerald is as brave or confident as she presents herself. Deep down she is very insecure, constantly second-guessing herself. This stems from the fact that she feels rejected by her father and if she wasn't good enough for him.

If someone is able to crack her walls and actually grows close to her she is very protective of them. Her best trait is her loyalty toward those she cares about, she isn't one to throw the people she cares about under the bus.

Extra:
Emerald can run very fast this is because in high school she was on the track team. She isn't one to face the monsters head-on and would rather take her chances running away. If she is forced into facing them head-on she's most likely to use a baseball bat with barbed wire or a knife to defend herself.

Personality: Hates other monsters for their hate and murder of humans. Has a neutral feeling of humans and stays away from them for the most part unless they are going to die without his help. He is an idealist and will help anyone who really needs it. He loves his sniper and has a sort of attachment to it, as if it was his friend.

He usually kills those of his species, and does so to protect humans, it is hard for him to communicate with humans because the first thing they usually do is feel his heartbeat, which usually ends with him begging for his life as the humans gang up on him in fear of him being a monster, This is the reason he has a neutral feeling of humans. He hates his true form so he always the same human male, a strange man in robes and a strange mask, he would never attack a human and that is why he begs for his life when they threaten him, because he believes his species has done enough to hurt the humans when they have done nothing wrong, in his eyes.

[Mico the Shapeshifter]

Face claim: Mostly depends on what they shapeshift into, but when they are human they (most of the time) have messy red hair, brown eyes, pretty much a normal human

Age: 1000, human form: 13

Ability: Shapeshifter, but not a creature

Backstory: Used to live in a treehouse in The Shapeshifter Realm but The Shadow King destroyed the whole realm and everyone there. Mico then went to this realm before the creatures came and all that to hide from The Shadow King, due to the fact it sucks there and The Shadow King wouldn't look there.

Personality: Mico is very friendly but avoids people a lot. She doesn't like letting other people know she is a shapeshifter. She is scared of the dark and of the creatures. She loves dragons and fire and stuff. She talks to herself a lot. If someone who is her friend is in danger she will do anything to save them. She has a pet lizard named Scale.

(I had a hard time choosing but I think this ability will best go with her personality if anyone has any other suggestions I’ll gladly comply to whatever fits the RP best)



Backstory:

From the very moment she was born Raine was cursed and was drawn to the bad things in life. She didn’t remember much about her parents, just knew that they were hardcore drug addicts and CPS took her at a young age and introduced her into the Foster Care System. It was a shitty experience. She wasn’t picked by a family until she was around twelve. Maybe thirteen.



They were known for adopting other children who were in the system, and eventually Raine was an addition to their family.



Before long, Raine became painfully aware that the family who adopted her and her foster siblings did not “take them in,” for any reason other than money. They were neglected and Physically/Verbally abused constantly, and even witnessed it whenever fights broke out between their parents.



The parents stayed in the bedroom while Raine and her three younger siblings slept in pallets on the floor and sofa. The house was always messy unless they were due for a check up by the Department of Human Services. There were never much food in the fridge and if there was, they weren’t allowed access to the food unless they were given permission. Sometimes they would go days without eating and most times they would only rely on the food that was served at school.



Raine always tried to protect her younger siblings from the abuse and neglect. Always spending time with them and creating games from the top of her head and finding a way to entertain them. She would take beatings for them and would use herself as a shield/attack her Foster mom to keep them from getting beaten. The times where her siblings would be denied food as punishment for being bad, Raine would always hide half of her plate and stash it around the house until their parents went to sleep, and give it to them so they would be able to eat.



Overtime through her experiences and the friends she made in high school, Raine learned hand to hand combat and how to defend herself. Once Raine actually started fighting back, her foster mother started to lose control and power over Raine. She then had to rely on making threats towards the younger kids and held that over Raine’s head. Whereas the father only neglected the kids and would get angry and yell if they were loud, crying, or being annoying. He never really laid hands on them, only the mother.



As soon as Raine was able to get a work permit from the school she began working minimum wage jobs and providing for her siblings. Buying their own groceries and taking them out shopping, going to fun places, and eating out. Eventually she was able to save enough money to get a car and planned on getting her own place and getting her siblings out of that house to come live with her. But then the apocalypse started.



Everything went to shit while she was at work. Raine rushed home to find her foster parents gone and her younger siblings huddled together in the corner of the room crying. She took care of them for a few months after society crumbled. But one day when she was on a run, a creature that mimicked her fooled her siblings. Raine came home that fateful day to find all of her siblings murdered in cold blood and carries that weight on her shoulders to this day.



Personality:



Due to her childhood trauma and the lost of her loved ones, Raine will be distant and won’t let anyone get close her. She doesn’t like talking about herself or her past, and won’t ask questions to get to know anyone either. Raine is extremely blunt, stubborn, and has anger issues. If provoked, Raine will kick anyone’s arse. Doesn’t matter what gender she won’t hesitate to slug someone. She’s a reckless clean freak who tends to lead people to believe that she’s a moody b who doesn’t care about anyone but herself. Little actions and gestures is how she shows her affection. It’s hard to notice unless you look really hard and realize the difference between her words and her actions. If someone is nice to her, despite her moodiness, Raine will remain loyal to them. Protecting and taking care of them. A habit she developed taking care of her foster siblings.

Raine will have scars all along her body from the beatings she took growing up. She doesn’t like being touched and is reckless in fights with the creatures because deep down she doesn’t care if she lives or dies. At times there will be things that’ll trigger her darkest memories and she may breakdown or have a panic attack because of it.

Ability: None
Personality: Hates his species for their immoral behavior, he is a lone ranger in the apocalypse and carries a double barrel revolver at his side, he mimics a cowboy/western/ranger and basically has the same personality as one. He hates immoral people and likes putting bullets between villain's eyes. He also carries a double barrel shotgun but he doesn't like to use that as much.
He doesn't take kindly to insults. He doesn't like to hang out around humans but he does hang out around bandit's trail on occasion, usually to bring some bandits to justice. He doesn't like to talk, and is usually quiet even when asked a question, which can get on peoples nerves. He is attacked by his own species a lot who consider him a traitor, which Chakarooka loves being known as a traitor to an evil organization, it makes him feel better about himself.

Extra: Carries a double-barrel shotgun and a double-barrel revolver. He has a western-ish outfit, he also never turns into his monster form.​
