The World As They Never Knew It

The world was in a different state than it has ever been. A group of individuals believed it was time for the human race to reach the next level of evolution or they'd be wiped out. A group of people were chosen to be the heroes of this generation to lead the next one into the new era.

It was hope in the eyes of many. A chance for the human race to take their lives to the next level. An opportunity of a lifetime for the chosen few and their families to be well endowed for their participation. People were implored to volunteer as tribute for their country, their people but mostly for the rewards of being in the upper echelon of society. Every candidate was tested to see if they were a perfect picture of health, no long term diseases, no disabilities, no genetic misconstructions, someone strong enough to survive this.

Experimentation for the first humans with enhanced capabilities was no easy thing. They tried to narrow it down to one aspect to keep the string of DNA consistent. It was easier to blend them together if they focused each candidate on one thing. It was decided the zodiac was the proper thing to go by as decided by the board of directors since it was already a scaled chart. Each character had its own persona and abilities so half the work was already done for them.

Twelve candidates were chosen to live in this 'extravagant' facility, at least that's what the press was told, where they'd spend the majority of their lives dedicated to the cause. The facility the subjects were placed in was in the most remote location outside the reach of the public hidden strategically with technology and natural terrain. The facility was enormous but parts of it were sectioned off completely. The building was much farther in tech than the world but the subjects wouldn't know that since they have no memories other than this morning. The only thing they do know is that they are being watched over by mother and they should be grateful to be with her.

Things To Keep In Mind:
-The ONLY thing they know is that they are being watched over by 'mother' and they love and appreciate her dearly. It was already preprogrammed into their minds. They don’t know their names either, only their ‘given name’ aka their experiment name.

-They all don't know about or don't know how to use their powers. It'll either come naturally as they learn what they are exceptionally well at or will be forced.

-They don't know the location of this facility or that it is an underground bunker. They think it's just a regular house since it has its own day and night cycle. Everything seems relatively normal because what they see is what they currently know.

-They all have the same tattoo on the inside of their left forearm.

-Almost every section is blocked off except for a few right now and won't be opened unless mother allows it. The only levels they have been to are levels 1-4. Levels 5-6 are completely blocked off and only can be opened for mother to come through. They've never seen it, they don't know what's down there, and some are probably scared to. Every room and section has a door that is either left open for their convenience, closed but unlocked, or closed with a lock.

-Curfew is strict.

-There will be times when you can gamble to gain an extra power or lose your current power. Sometimes it's by random selection and sometimes it involves a bit of brainpower. Sometimes it'll affect the whole group.

-There will be certain opportunities to obtain a clue that will either affect the individual or the group as a whole depending on which decisions the group makes as a whole.

-Nothing can be accomplished alone, a team effort is better than a solo one.

Layout of the Bunker
On the surface it looks like the rest of the scenery, completely blended in with the background. Below there are spaced out levels that are sort of reminiscent to a spaceship. Stairs are used to get to each section but each new one is blocked by a door. Each set of stairs connect to the left end of the hallway.

Level 1: Training Ground
Level 2: Hydroponic garden, Storage, Library
Level 3: Living quarters, Dining room, Entertainment room
Level 4: Workshop, Infirmary, Gym, Pool
Level 5: Mother's room, Research Laboratory
Level 6: Generator Systems

Training Grounds:
Made to simulate outside and the walls are near indestructible. There are clouds in the ceiling that cycle naturally as it would a regular day along with the sun, moon, and stars. They can tear up the area as much as they want but it always returns to normal the next day. There is a short hallway with lockers right before the door to enter the room where they can leave some things so they don't have to go back and forth from their room.

Hydroponic Garden:
A large garden that actually looks like a real garden with its own watering systems and sun lamps. There are a few benches to sit for the nature lovers and a few open beds for fresh planting.

Storage:
Almost always locked unless opened by mother. She told them there were extra supplies for the house in there. They've never been inside. The storage room is in the center of the level with the garden to the left side and the library to the right.

Library:
Reading is fundamental. Period.

Living Quarters:
The rooms are divided into three bedrooms and a bathroom shared between them. The third level is a long hallway that connects to the different areas of the level. For the living quarters, it's in the center so on the left side it's the dining area and the right is the entertainment area. The four rooms are across from each other, so one and two are on one side of the hall and three and four are on the other. Each 'dorm' is connected by a single door. All the bedroom doors can be opened by their handprint on the keypad unless left unlocked or opened. Once through the door there is a short hallway that leads to the three bedroom doors and the bathroom on the side. Each bedroom contains a shelf, a desk, and a comfy bed. There are lights that line the walls that can be changed to whatever color is desired. Everyone is allowed to decorate as they please using whatever they can create in the workshop. The bathroom has an 'invisible' smart wall where the shower and tub are that can be changed to blackout, clear, or translucent/foggy. It has its own operating system so it can make video calls around the house, play music, and adjust the temperature of the shower if you're too lazy to turn around to the faucets. Unlike most showers, the water shoots out of the ceiling rather than the handheld shower-head.

Dining Room:
It doubles as a meeting room and leads to the kitchen that is always stocked. When the lights are on the room has a warm hue to it, the same as the kitchen, so they feel warm and invited.

Entertainment Room:
Has every high-tech thing one could imagine. Each little 'doorway' from the main room leads to top of the line games as well as older ones, VR station, a mini movie theater, and a play-place with a large colorful ball pit in the center.

Workshop:
A place to tinker and build. There are some interesting tools here, for example, a fabricator. All of the more advanced ones are locked away unless opened by mother. All the rooms on this floor are connected by a single hallway and are set up in a 'four-block' pattern. The workshop is across from the infirmary.

Infirmary:
Top of the line medical services. The beds from the walls can be pulled out and hover over to the examination table thanks to science. All of the pharmaceuticals are locked away in the cabinets unless given permission by mother.

Gym:
Can be programmed to do or be different things. Target practice, work out station, running track, parkour course, anything in the name of exercise. It is rather large. The gym is across from the pool.

Pool:
Heated pool feels almost like a bath but isn't. Please don't bathe here. There's also a hot tub on the side and a large mirror on the other.

Mother's Room:
Unknown.

Research Laboratory:
They don't even know this exists.

Generator Room:
Provides electricity from what mother says but they've never been in there.
