Fantasy The Worst Pantheon: Live and Reloaded (IC Thread) (OPEN)

OOC
Here
Inqui immediately went to Tabbris and summoned a potion from a golden ripple, she also placed a dagger with a note inside said ripple, she then crouched as she gave Tabbris the potion, which removed all of the poison on him and healed him up.
He coughed, and stood up. A small amount of blood still trickled through a crack in his mask.

"Thank you. I'm Tabbris."

Slowly looking at Merlin-tan, Ocaeril's face suddenly became one of shock and almost mild despair, almost as if he suddenly had some bad memories coming back to him. The words 'Casanova', 'bedding anyone', and 'and I mean anyone' could almost be heard as little clicks inside his head. His iris almost shined, and an expression of anger and annoyance flashed across his face. The Genjutsu suddenly was let go, as he groaned loudly. "Ugh, it seems we are not the only ones who have people like that, Tanya..." Still, for her to use the word 'tan' was curious. Wasn't it a word used in the Nekomatus empire?

Tanya momentarily raised her eyebrow, noticing the flashed expression of anger and annoyance on Ocaeril and then thus the illusion being dropped, but didn’t press on it.

Still, ignoring Tanya's weebness and remembering he has some of his own, the god scratched his cheek, before summoning a book about Chakra in his hand, and placing it on the table of Merlin-tan, now assuming it was a girl. Or...Well, 'girl.' Nekomatus aren't really female or male, are they?

"If you wish to learn more, you can always give this book a read. I'm sure you'll be mighty powerful one day." Giving words of advice to the bastard child, Ocaeril smiled,

Merlin-tan smiled back at him, showing that his teeth had a bit of a split gap a bit on the upper side.

“Thank you sir!” s-h-they opened the book and was engrossed in it, judging from its energetic legs as it swung on the chair.

before looking back at Tanya. Please excuse him, his dad senses were coming to him. "But, to return to the original topic- You'll have to specify a bit, Tanya. There are many demon slayers in the world, aren't there? Still, assuming you used it as a capital title, I'm assuming it's the Demon Slayer, isn't it? Still, I understand your concerns. As such, I'll hear your plan, and see if it is fit to both of our objectives. Perhaps we can even come with a flawless one that follows both of our objectives."

Tanya raised an eyebrow “I-I did not know you heard of the Argent Demon Slayer, the one who demons call in fear the Doom Slayer, he’s from another world, so it is surprising you know about him.

Anyway, the basic plan was this, we would use our top Casters, ranging from me, Merlin, Merlin’s newest apprentice, Gil in his Caster Class, and many more like Medea and Circe to construct a ritual that would be able to summon the Doom Slayer, the Doom Slayer would be summoned in the closest class possible, which is the Avenger, he would then fight against the Kitsune.

Now we had two diverging options depending on what happened, if the Doom Slayer was successful in killing the Kitsune, then he would be simply escorted out of this world if possible, if not, then we would’ve constructed a Boundary field around them, entrapping them in an endless loop of fighting against one another before the Kitsune eventually tires away.

However with you in the picture and thus the seal, hmm, what if you made a Seal that could make a pocket dimension or hammerspace, interlay it with the original seal to make it the prison that holds the Kitsuene with the Doom Slayer as its warden, then interlay it with another seal that’s attuned to the Kitsune’s energy that saps it away as it sends the corrupted energy to a series of arrays of seals that constantly purifies it and then turn it into an ecological-friendly energy source, could you do that?

He coughed, and stood up. A small amount of blood still trickled through a crack in his mask.

"Thank you. I'm Tabbris."
Inqui nodded, she took her hand out and helped Tabbris got up.

"And I am the Patron of Heroes, people have been shortening it to Poh, so you can use that instead, now, explain everything, what is this city, why is Hesla here, why is there monsters, and should I send in a Hero-team to exterminate a dangerous threat?"

"Oh no, I do not know about him, it seems I messed up my words a bit- I meant a the Demon Slayer, referring to someone you consider to be the greatest Slayer. I messed up my words, I apologize." Ocaeril gave a little bow to Tanya in apology, before getting up once more to hear her plan, giving Merlin-tan a little pat in the head.

...Frankly speaking, it was a tad...Confusing, to say the least, what she meant. There were at least four usages of the word 'seal' in her little explanation. No doubt, it would leave any normal person hanging in the air confused at what she meant, but, Ocaeril simply took a split second to understand what she meant. A multiple seal usage, huh...Hm, that would normally be complicated to any god, but given his ability to evolve and use any sort of spell a mortal can...Perhaps it will only take a small while, perhaps even less, considering he'll have help to his side.

"That can be arranged. In my researches with Chakra, it can be used to create Seals as well. As it stands, these seals are rather weak at the moment, but if I fuse them utilizing normal seals from the current magic system in Ocaeril, it can perhaps be used to create a Greater Seal. My only problem is that...Well, I'm not sure how this 'Doom Slayer' would feel about being trapped inside a seal. Do you think he'll accept it like that?"

Now that he thinks about it, perhaps this seal can be used to trap any type of Demon, as well, utilizing their negative energy in the same way Tanya suggested. Although, he will not mention that currently. As it stands, the seal was not even created, nor do they know if it will have any failures in its design. Before going further in this line of thought, they should ensure it is fail-proof- Or at least heavily guarded.

"As for the energy...Purification can be done, of course. Although I do think that I can fuse its energy with Chakra, perhaps. But to turn it into an ecological friendly resource, I would need the seal to be created in me- Or at least, on the planet itself so I can alter it. If not, I can do what I just suggested, fusing it with Chakra. Although I do believe that fusing it with me could be more useful, as I would have direct control over it and be able to alter it in case something goes wrong. It is demonic energy at the end of the day, and we do not know if it'll have negative or positive effects once it is done. If you deny my offer of fusing it within me, perhaps we can work together to analyze the energy once it is purified to see if it is safe for usage. I suggested it since, once more, I would be able to automatically understand it, and alter it in any way once it was inside me. It is still risky, though, I will not deny that."

Gods, this really is a long 'blah blah blah', isn't it?

Tanya immediately responded by going to a book shelf, her hand hovering the books before taking out a green book, flipping it upside down and putting it back in.

The book shelf then creaked as it slid to the side, revealing an inner circular library, various crystalline spider-like creatures tended to it, arranging the books, cleaning each one, and inscribing more and more books through telekinesis from their glowing blue eyes.

Tanya simply went inside and nodded to the spider librarians and looked over her collection of books before taking one out, she then went out as the bookshelf slid back.

She then placed down the book on the table with a thud, the book was very thick, bounded by dark black scaly leather, small horns and bumps protruding over them, it was heavily chained in transparent golden chains, Tanya simply wiped her hands over the chains, dispelling them.

"This is a book, a book that tells of the legend of the Doom Slayer"

She flipped open the book and recited the first page.

"In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood, burned by the embers of Armageddon, his soul blistered by the fires of hell and tainted beyond ascension. He chose the path of perpetual torment. In his ravenous hatred he found no peace, and with boiling blood he scoured the umbral plans seeking vengeance against the dark lords who had wronged him. He wore the crown of the knight sentinels, and those who tasted the bite of his sword name him the Doomslayer.

Tempered by the fires of hell, his iron will remained steadfast through the passage that preys upon the week, for he alone was the hell walker, the unchained predator who sought retribution in all quarters, dark and light, fire and ice, in he beginning and the end. And he hunted the slaves of doom with barbarous cruelty; for he passed through the divide as none but demon had before.

And in his conquest against the blackened souls of the doom, his prowess was shown. In his crusade the seraphim bestowed upon him terrible power and speed and with his might he crushed the obsidian pillars of the blood temples. He set fourth without pity upon the beasts of the knight circles. Unbreakable, incorruptible, unyielding, the Doomslayer sought to end the dominion of the dark realm.

The age of his reckoning was uncounted, the scribes carved his name deep into he taverns of hell across eons, with each battle etched terror in the hearts of demons. They knew he would come, as he always had, as he always will, to feast on the blood of the wicked, for he alone could draw strength from his fallen foes, and ever his power grew swift and unrelenting.

None could stand before the hoard but the Doomslayer. Despair spread before him like a plague, striking fear into the shadow dwellers, driving them to deeper and darker pits. But from the depth of the abyss rose the great one, a champion, mightier then all that had come before; the Titan of immeasurable power and ferocity. He strode upon the plain and faced the Doomslayer, and a mighty battle was fought on the desolate plains. The Titan fought with the fury of the countless that had fallen at the Doomslayer’s hands; but there fell the Titan, and in his defeat the shadow hoard was routed.

And in his terrible rancor between worlds and through time came the wretch who shall not be named, but in his heresy was loyal to his evil cause. The wretch adored the Doomslayer in a mighty armor, wrought in the fortress of hell, impenetrable and unyielding, with sword and shield of adamantine strength, the Doomslayer sent to banish all that were left unbroken by his savagery to the void.

Yet as the mighty Titan fell and dread engulfed the armies of doom, the demon priests of the blood temples laid a trap to capture the scourge of hell, insatiable, even by the vanquishing of the great one, the hell walker sought to prey in the tombs of the blood keep, and blinded by his fervor, the lure drew him in. The priests brought down the temple of the Doomslayer and in his defeat entombed him in the cursed sarcophagus. The mark of the Doomslayer was burned upon his crypt, a warning to all of hell that the terror within must never be freed. There he lies still, and ever more, in silent suffering."

She then snapped the book close and looked at Ocaeril with closed eyes.

"This man was a knight, a Sentinel if you will, his very duty was to kill demons, he was betrayed by demons, and thus he has a fury that cannot be quenched by anything, he will stop at nothing, nothing! Until every single demon is dead, every corrupted soul of theirs broken, and every demon that somehow survives, knows to tremble at fear in name of the Doom Slayer.

And that is why he will be absolutely okay with us sealing him in with the Kitsune till it dies"
"As for the energy...Purification can be done, of course. Although I do think that I can fuse its energy with Chakra, perhaps. Tanya looked at Ocaeril for a moment before slamming the table as she glared at him.

"You said it yourself, the plan to seal it into you is risky! Even if that risk is miniscule, I will absolutely not let you seal this monster into you! I've had enough from Inqui and the Grail Mud! I will never let something happen as long as my body-no, even my spirit! Stays on this world! If you love your children, if you love the races that lives on you, if you truly love them with all your heart, then listen to my word, do not do it, even if it's not the efficient one, the slow solution that brings the rewards later but has no risk is better than the short-term solution that brings the rewards now but is incredibly! Efficiency is not just about the output that something produces and how fast and how much it gives out! But also of any side effects or lack of them! Yes risk are okay but a balance has to be maintained and let me tell you this Ocaeril! Sealing this creature, one as you noted, is very corruptive and malicious into you? I will not stand for it, even if I have to fight you I will not stand for it, because if I learnt something from my experiences in life, is that Murphy's Law will always rain supreme, so anything that can go wrong? WILL GO WRONG! Do you understand me?"

Hearing Tanya's legend about the Doom Slayer made Ocaeril seem...Curious at first. As he sat down and heard the story of the Doom Slayer.

For some reason, in the distance, he could hear the heavy sounds of guitars and drums playing.

Still...That legend made him...Sad, at the very least. From the way it seemed, this man has gone mad because of demons. A deep and passionate hatred because of them, his life objective being nothing else but to kill and kill and kill demons without a care in the world. While yes, he knew demons where malicious creatures, no doubt there would be some that would perhaps change it for the better. Ones that would go against the cycle and become a force of good. He didn't mean his objectives were wrong, no, in fact, they were honorable. But...To lose himself, to only be called by a title, and not a name, all because his entire life revolved around one thing made Ocaeril feel terrible.

"It's a sad story." He admitted, letting out a soft sigh."I hope he can find peace within himself one day."

WILL GO WRONG! Do you understand me?"

However, at Tanya's sudden outburst, Ocaeril didn't flinch once more, as he simply stared at her.

His eyes steeled, as he slowly closed them. Her words...It seemed as if...Inqui had a similar solution to this sort of problem. He could feel anger, but at the same time, worry inside her heart. The worry about the greater good, the worry about others...And worry about Inqui. He did not know what she meant by Grail Mud, but...From what it seemed...Inqui had something within her as well. Something evil. If she didn't, Tanya would not have mentioned it. She would not have bought it into this conversation.

Then, his eyes opened again, and his orbs, they were like...The planet itself, for a moment.

He slowly approached Tanya, and simply put a hand on her back. He didn't let out his 'family' energy, he didn't let out any spell, nothing. He simply stared at her with a neutral expression, but even if his own didn't say anything, his words were clear. 'Take your time, breathe slowly.'

"I have survived invasions. I have survived meteors falling onto me. Demons ravishing the land, watching my children die, I saw the world burn once, I saw the Great Light speak to me. I saw the destruction of myself drawing near. I have seen and survived a million events at once, seeing stories unfold and flip back into place through my children. Their suffering, their growth, their love. All of their sins, all of their blessings, and all of their virtues. I love my children with all my heart, Tanya. I grow and make them grow so they can survive. I feel anger at them, I feel disappointment at them, but I would never do something to hurt them. I can feel that...You went through this sort of situation before. Self-sacrifice is a thing that I...That I frown upon, yet I do it myself. As such, I promised I would teach my children to stand One with All. To not follow through their father's foolish steps."

A hero that didn't care about his own safety, yet knew it was wrong, huh...

"I wished the energy to put inside of me, not the beast itself. The purified one, that is." Ocaeril explained, letting go of Tanya, before looking back at Merlin-tan with an apologetic expression. As if saying 'I'm sorry you had to see this' to him. "Because I am afraid, Tanya. I am afraid of anything all the gods do in the world. I am afraid of Joe and his plagues, of Helsa and her corruption, of Baldur and his demons, of The Beast and his return...I am afraid of it. I know that I won't be able to stop all of this by myself, that is why I created the Tailed Beasts. Why I created Chakra. And why I wished to have the Beast inside of me- To gain power so I can hope to stop them in case they do too much one day. I am..." Ocaeril sighed and looked down at his feet.

"I am the most paranoid god there is, probably. I'm sorry."

He stayed quiet for a few moments, letting Tanya take in his words. It seems why the reason he did all of that wasn't evil. It wasn't to take out other gods or to become a force to be reckoned with. Well, the last one was, but...His intentions weren't evil, it seemed. They were the actions of love and care, and fear of the future. Because he didn't wish to let others die, hurt themselves in the process. Because he didn't want to see anyone suffering- As Tanya could remember his words when Helsa attacked, if she even heard it...

'Somewhere out there, a baby is crying.
Don't cry, your father is here.
I'll beat up anyone that tries to hurt you.
'

What a careless fool, huh...?

Inqui nodded, she took her hand out and helped Tabbris got up.

"And I am the Patron of Heroes, people have been shortening it to Poh, so you can use that instead, now, explain everything, what is this city, why is Hesla here, why is there monsters, and should I send in a Hero-team to exterminate a dangerous threat?"
"This is Arqa, I don't know why Helsa was here, and no mortal could clear this city."

"This is Arqa, I don't know why Helsa was here, and no mortal could clear this city."

"I was here because I sensed a huge amount of energy coming from Arqa, and decided to investigate." Helsa stated.

They do not need to know I forgot about it until now. She thought.

"It's a sad story." He admitted, letting out a soft sigh."I hope he can find peace within himself one day."
Tanya lips pursed in thought.

"Unfortunately, I do not think it is possible, that's why it's not only a sad story but also a cautionary tale to demons and a tale of hope, because while the Doom Slayer has lost his humanity in his pursuit of the death of Demons, he..it's a noble desire because it his duty, for as a Sentinel, he protects humanity, it has been his duty and will always be his duty, so it brings hope in humanity, because no matter how dangerous the demonic threat is, they know that they can be defeated, that there is someone out there who when awoken will become their raging defender.

And...let's say to find peace is a lone-gone process, did you know he was a father? He had a son he loved so much, one that he cherished as a father would, but he died, as a father he distraught, and in that moment of weakness, demons struck, whispering soothing poisonous words into him, telling him that if he betrayed his kin, his son will be back.

And what did he do? Well he did what any grieving person who's loss is still fresh would do, he took the chance to right what he thought was wrong, he broke down heaven's gates and let the demons invade it, but what about his reward? To feel the embrace of his child? Well, his son, he was back, but he changed, corrupted by the very demons that made a deal with the Doom Slayer, making him an Incarnation of Sin, something that didn't even remember being the son of the Doom Slayer.

Thus the Demon Slayer broke, he became filled with hate and rage, his burning anger, one that's stronger than any force known turned him into something more, forsaking his humanity to become a destroyer of demons, never again would he trust another, all demons would die, the only demon he trusted was a dead one, even the one that was a traitor to his own kind and helped the Doom Slayer by reforging his armor, he was killed too, because the Doom Slayer trusted no one anymore, nothing could sooth his rage, nothing will, even if every single demon died, he would still wander the earth, a spirit of Vengeance that has nothing to take his rage on, he will simply exist in agony, because that is the price he took for the ability to kill any demon in his path, to forsake life itself for vengeance"
He slowly approached Tanya, and simply put a hand on her back. He didn't let out his 'family' energy, he didn't let out any spell, nothing. He simply stared at her with a neutral expression, but even if his own didn't say anything, his words were clear. 'Take your time, breathe slowly.'
Tanya shook as she felt the hand of Ocaeril, she looked back at him with confusion and suspicion, cautious of what he was about to do, she glanced at Merlin-tan to see that he looked on without any fear in his eyes but of curiosity of what's going on, Tanya pursed her lips once more as she looked at him and Ocaeril, anticipating anything.
Tanya widened her eyes before looking down in shame.
"I wished the energy to put inside of me, not the beast itself. The purified one, that is." Ocaeril explained, letting go of Tanya, before looking back at Merlin-tan with an apologetic expression. Tanya looked down without saying anything for a while, before speaking.

"Everyone is afraid, it what makes someone a person, to not fear is to be inhuman, fear and other emotions may be primal instincts and should be quelled or controlled, but to remove it is impossible and immoral, you cannot drive out something from yourself that is innate to you, to everyone, even me, I am afraid of things, I am afraid that someday a god would randomly think that it would be 'funny' to appear on the capital of my business and just destroy everything, wreaking havoc, massacring my workers, spilling their blood onto the burning streets, and as they do this, I would be helpless, helpless to even do anything"

Tanya gripped the table, making cracks as she placed more pressure into it.
"I am the most paranoid god there is, probably. I'm sorry."
She laughed, one that was almost maniacal, before looking at you with a bemused expression.

"Ocaeril, I come from another world with its own pantheon gods and I have read about gods in records from other worlds, trust me when I say that you being paranoid isn't that different from any other god, in fact, you aren't the most paranoid one, many more can contend for that title, so don't apologize, you gods have pride don't you? Don't be sorry for something that helps you" Tanya ended her words with a smirk

Tanya sighed, before she stood up from leaning on the table, she looked at Merlin-tan who beamed at both her and Ocaeril, she sighed as she produced a holographic clock and took up Merlin-tan.

"Come on Merlin-tan it's your nap time", Merlin-tan struggled in response "nooo! I'm not sleepy! More magic! More! More!", Tanya rubbed the bridge of her nose as she looked at Merlin-tan as if she was saying "you know what I'm doing is good for you, you little brat", "Come one Merlin-tan, if you don't sleep well, your body's clock would mess up and you would suffer sleeping problems later on"

"Hrumph! But magic can fix that!"

"But if you sleep well, your body would grow better naturally and you would get big and strong, if you do so, I'm sure Mary would like you then" Merlin-tan simply gasped in response before immediately nodding excitedly "sleep! Sleep! Sleeep!"

Tanya sighed as she muttered "little rascal" before looking at Ocaeril "sorry, but I have to tuck in Merlin-tan, its his nap time now, but we can start with the plan after I tuck him in"

Tanya then went out as she tucked in Merlin-tan, after a while, when Tanya returned, she was back in her royal silver-golden armor, carrying her lance beside her, she looked at Ocaeril.

"Alright, let's do it now, wanna get Merlin and his apprentice first?"

"This is Arqa, I don't know why Helsa was here, and no mortal could clear this city."
Inqui tilts her head.

"Arqa? I do not know what this place is, and even so, if I have to personally lead an army against this city, then I will do it if it is a threat"
"I was here because I sensed a huge amount of energy coming from Arqa, and decided to investigate." Helsa stated.

They do not need to know I forgot about it until now. She thought.
Inqui looked up at that "what is this energy? What did it felt like?! What is it?"

"Alright, let's do it now, wanna get Merlin and his apprentice first?"

Ocaeril stayed quiet during Tanya's entire speech, simply keeping quiet and hearing what she had to say. The Doom Slayer's story hit deep into him, and he felt an ounce of shame as well. In a way...His story wasn't different from his. After all, what Helsa did in the last cycle gained such a reaction from him that made him act in such a brutal way...What would happen if something like that happened again? What would happen to himself? What if he became something like the Doom Slayer? A being of great power, but whose humanity was lost?

He couldn't afford that. After all, he was the Father god. He was supposed to be the wise one. One who could change the waves of sadness of his children and transform into happiness. A god who would always do the wisest choice. But his actions last cycle...The things he said, all he did, all he lost, was it truly worth having that rage again? Was it truly worth throwing all self-care and sense he had to avenge others he cared about? It didn't feel worth it. It didn't feel right. The god of humanity becoming a god of anger...Such is the Truth of himself, and every other god.

He was Ocaeril, the god of humanity and life. It was only fair he acted as one.

A low smile appeared on his lips as Tanya finished her words. He didn't say anything, as he simply watched her go and take Merlin-Tan to bed, giving the boy a little wave as he went away with her. "Sleep well." Was all he could say in this situation.

And then...Ocaeril sat down in a nearby chair and thought.

He thought of the future, of the inevitable encounter with The Beast he will have. Of Helsa, of Baldur, Ickol, even. All of the thoughts of the future and how it can be whisked away in an instant. The future looked bright, but he couldn't be sure. He couldn't be sure of anything, really. He wasn't a god of time. He wasn't a god that controlled the future. No, even Arceus, his father, couldn't do such a thing. It was all so distant, so untouchable, yet so close...

He had a desire. A desire to grow. To evolve. For his children to do the same, as well. Yet...It was a slow and steady effort. Just like Tanya had said...

It's a slow process, but...

He'll defeat the future with itself.

"Heh."

...This really was exhilarating.

Soon, Tanya returned, and now she would see the usual figure of a smiling Ocaeril waving at her.

"If you wish. I can start working on the seal as you get them, too."

Inqui tilts her head.

"Arqa? I do not know what this place is, and even so, if I have to personally lead an army against this city, then I will do it if it is a threat"

Inqui looked up at that "what is this energy? What did it felt like?! What is it?"
"An army would be eaten by the thing at the center."

Helsa blinked at Inqui's....reaction. "I don't know. I only know that it was really powerful."
Inqui ducks her head down "apologies, I got frightened about a new amount of energy, I'm sorry for distressing you Helsa"
"An army would be eaten by the thing at the center."
Inqui raises her eyebrow "interesting, although Heroic Spirits are stronger than any normal mortal, and there are some that could combat beasts out of this world or even are ones th-"

She then stopped as she heard a faint nursery rhyme.

"Ring around the Rosies~
A pocket full of posies~
Atishoo!~ Atishoo!~
We all fall down~"

When the nursery rhyme ended, she heard a giggle of a young child and felt a tap on the back of her shoulder. she looked back to see a young blonde-haired girl with naive blue eyes smiling at her, she was wearing a flowing black dress and a small circular hat, both pelted with orange and black ribbons, she giggled as she held a teddy bear in her arms.

"Hello Patron! I heard the call of this place and came here to see it!" she gasped "maybe it's even the almighty Lord himself! Oh what joy!" she said with awe and wonder.

...why is some part of me shivering at the sight of her?

Ickol Action 1 and 2

The goddess watched with interest in the dream world as she saw flashes of Arqua in the dreams of a lost people. The Sinner had found her way there after all, how amusing. Doubly so by how the Hero has joined her. They were certainly an odd couple. If their camaraderie grew, perhaps deepened, who would change the other? Or would friendship lead to them ruining each other forever? It could have been a comedy or a tragedy, even to the divine the future of such an enterprise was unpredictable. But it seemed Helsa was indeed going through changes. She was acting downright virtuous, playing a proper adventurer.

Going against her nature.

True, the show would be interesting, but if Helsa truly did change, Ickol would need to step in. A goddess of corruption, if such a being tried to create virtue, such creations would likely be flawed. A firm hand would be needed to correct such flaws. And after all this time holding back, the goddess privately didn’t think she would be able to keep herself holding back. No, when one of the pantheon did slip up and she acted, there would be no more of this performance. A pity, it was fun being the fool.

Ickol distances herself from these thoughts as she continued to explore the dream worlds of the plane. She eyed a slight crack only she could see, a mark of damage to the fabric of reality. Her scars forever gouge. Idly, Ickol followed the thread of her destruction, and found herself back in the Kranksgiving realm. Only, it was a bit different from when she had entered. True, most of that was the streaks of demon-turkey gore she had left, but there was a hint of something... more. Where before the realm had a slight chill, now it was clear there was a hint of winter’s pull here. Bits of snow, new breeds of adversaries being hunted by the survivors from Ickol’s rampage. Creatures of snow and whimsy. She felt a pull and investigated.

The small bit of Kranksgiving she had carved. It had weakened the essence of the imprisonment of the dream underneath this realm. Oh, Kranksgiving was still the holiday this other world was experiencing, she hadn’t taken a hammer to the realm. But she could feel the original holiday underneath, clawing for freedom and calling to her. She reached into the cracks, and felt a hand grasp hers.

Without hesitation she pulled, and [SEVERED] the tethers restraining the figure. He smiled at her. At least, she believed so. It was hard to tell when he was grinning with a savage glee at everything. He wore a dirty red suit, and was lean with an animalistic look about him. With sharpened teeth and a dark gaze, he chuckled and regarded Ickol.

Oh oh oh? Are-are-you, perhaps, naughty?

Ickol gasped theatrically. “My...good...fellow! I...would...never...dare...even...take...action...to...raise...such...suspicion! I...am...a...proper...lady, I...shall...have...you...know!

The thing frowned. “I-I-apologize. How rude, no? You-you-freed me. You-you are forever nice! Oh oh oh? You-you-shall be spared. Like-like-all nices!”

Ickol cocked her head to the side. He was certainly an excitable chap. As she lead the holiday spirit out of his realm, she gradually pieces together the basics of his imprisonment. He had been an idea, birthed by a mad god. This god hadn’t done the best job of making the idea of this Krass Krangle or his Krassmas very stable. He was often contradictory, and his extension to his slaves confused the issue forever. The mad god would wear the face of either himself or Krass, but couldn’t keep it consistent which was the torturer of the people and which was the savior. Privately, the goddess believed this disjointedness contributed to Mr. Krangle’s... instability. Where she had been entertaining the somewhat murderous lunatic and laughing with him one moment, the next his head had spun around to a stern, plump blue face with a magnificent beard and an obese body. He had taken great offense to the laughter.

Ho ho ho! I would appreciate if you wouldn’t be so cavalier about jokes, missie! I don’t much care for them-anymore-anymore...

Also they made puns. A lot of puns. Some of which didn’t make much sense to the goddess, but she carried on anyway. She brought him with her to her realm in Ocaeril’s dream plane, allowing him and his holiday to take root in the minds of the people. Krassmas would be coming to the planet. She had started to suspect this may not be an entirely good idea, though.

And...what...makes...someone...nice...compared...to...naughty?

Ho Ho Ho! Such a silly-question-question! It’s-obvious-obvious! Not simply being good or evil, orderly or chaotic, it is action and-character-character!

Or in other words, she can’t predict what will set this freak off. On the plus side, she’s at least safe. For now.

And...what...will...you...do...with...the...naughty...ones?

The head twisted, and the form with it.

Oh oh oh? Why-why-what a silly question! I shall show them what a real slay ride is all about!

The head twisted back, and Krass clutched at his head.

Ho Ho ho! No, I will not trust that to be enough of a-lesson-lesson. We must snow them all what happens when you’re-you’re-naughty. Show a different kind of-gift-gift.

He smiled serenely in his mad conviction. Ickol smiled back. Great, so this guy’s got two minds and both are murderous lunatics. Still, this should prove to be a fun distraction. After all, of it goes too far the others will step in. And if it actually goes too far for her, she’ll correct it. And the scars on reality this time will forever be a reminder not to test her.

The two stood on a snowy country. Two workshops, one stained in blood and pain, the other wearing a facade of cheer and innocence. Krangle’s domain, his creations and minions peering out at the goddess and the powerful spirit as they felt the idea of Krassmas take hold in the minds of mortals, even if they did not understand it. And the domain rippled into a new state, it’s own realm. Not a dream. Not reality. But ready to breach into Ocaeril when the time comes.

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Krassmas to-all-all! And many-many-more.

Somewhere in the Empire, a child ran.

The rain was hitting strong that day, and the heavily forested area of the South, mixed with its natural cold weather, made the terrain absolutely dreadful to run in, let alone for a child who wore nothing but simple clothes. Cold air came from his breath, as the sounds of twigs snapping under his feet, and behind him as well. It happened so fast, so dreadfully fast for his eyes. In one moment, everything was fine. He was with his mother, simply playing in the streets...Before, before...!

He could smell the fire behind him reminding himself of his failure. The failure to see them coming- He was at the highest point, he should have told them--! The demons- They came, they took everything- Made all the buildings disappear like they were children's toys...! The guards didn't even stand a chance, they all got cut down like damn pigs in the slaughter!

Tears ran down his face. He didn't know what was going to happen with him. W-Was he gonna die? T-They would kill everyone for nothing, would they? Surely, surely they are going to keep the villagers alive, at the very least! Right?

Right?

Right?!

He felt his lungs almost collapsing like they were being weighed down by an invisible force. Wheezes and coughs came from him, the tears in his eyes making it hard for him to ever hope to see anything in front of him, alongside this cold air...His arms flailed around pathetically as if trying to reach for an invisible force in front of him, asking for this forest to save him. He knew nobody would save him, he knew that deep down, he knew what was going to happen once he got caught- but he wanted to not think about it. A part of him wishes his mom is safe, he wishes that everyone is safe, but with how quick these things came, they--

Snap

!

"G-Gaah!" The boy screamed, as suddenly, he could feel his foot getting trapped in some sort of force in front of him. All went by like hours and hours to him, before, as his belly was reaching the ground, he could see it- Not a hand, not a trap, nor anything of the sorts. No, what made him fall was nothing short of a damn, miserably placed tree root. A tree root. The very thing he wished his pursuers tripped on was his downfall. The forest he wished that saved him was now being his doom. The irony was...

THUD

...Incredible.

A low whimper came from him as his face met the humid ground, he could feel rocks, some sharp, other blunt, stabbing his skin. The wetness in his skin making him confused as to whether or not it was blood or just water. He couldn't hear the footsteps behind him anymore. So either, one of three things happened or will happen: They are simply hiding right now, and playing with him, or, he actually lost them. But, with how demons are, he doubts that's the case... But the third was...

"Uungh...!"

THUD, THUD, THUD...

!!!

Quickly looking behind him, he could see a shadow coming closer. Mist surrounded him, and now, he truly knew that the first option was true. Sweat came down from his face, as he quickly tried to back away from the approaching shadows in the mist. Grabbing a nearby stick, he quickly pointed it at them, he could feel a low hiss- It felt constant, like dripping water. A part of him thought it was either a sigh, annoyance, or a laugh. Maybe a bit of all of them...

"S-Stay back!" He shouted. "I'm g-gonna beat you up!"

A part of him was also filled with rage. He wanted to beat these bastards up and make sure they never return- But he knows that isn't possible. But still...! He won't be taken by these things! Not today! Not ever!

"I'm tellink-- telling you! I--I'm gonna kill you!"

"Ffffooolish...Ffffooolish child...Accept your fffate...Iiinstead of ffffigthing it...Nnnnone can chaaaaange ffffaaate..."

"S-Say what you want, you Naga rip-off! The n-next thing I'm g-gonna rip off is-is your head!"

He could feel its hiss getting stronger. He knew that he was rubbing this thing's ego in all the wrong ways, but at this point, he didn't care! He was gonna die trying to fight the thing that's setting him here!

"Hmph! Vvvery well! Iiiif it is a prematurrrre death yyyou wish, theeeen it is what you shaaaaall receive! Nnnnow, young ssssorcerer, come oooout of your miiiiist!"

...Huh?

"Wai- Wha?" Spell? What the hell was this thing talking about?

"Yyyyou heard me! Yyyou thiiiink such siiiimple tricks caaaan stop me foooorever? Aaaaall yoooou shaaal reeceeeive is hooonor for suuuuch an advaaan--"

Then, suddenly, blood-splattered in the forest and in his face as the demon got squished by a bug.

A new voice rang out, as the mist slowly disappeared, and the boy, completely silent and wide-eyed, somehow got even more so.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't quite stand seeing him talking around like that...Any beast knows how to hide instead of boasting...

Do you need help?

On that day, the Five Tails arrived at the Empire.

"If you wish. I can start working on the seal as you get them, too."

Tanya glared at Ocaeril when he mentioned that he was working on the seal but immediately returned to a neutral face.

"Anyways, let us be off now" she took out a stone that had a rune inscribed on it and threw it on the floor, Ocaeril and Tanya immediately were transploded into a roaring tavern as a young woman wearing a tight-fitting white robe tapped dance on the bar stand as she sang a hearty chant that spurred the inhabitants and customers of the tavern into a roaring joyous crowd, a brown-haired young teenage girl in brown robes had her face on her arms as she sat next the young woman.

Helsa stared at the tiny girl that seemed to come out of nowhere.

...why is some part of me shivering at the sight of her?

(OOC: This is Abby, right?)
the young girl glanced to Helsa, and as soon as their eyes met, Abby immediately changed from the normal blonde girl into a pale albino who had a large gaping keyhole in her forehead and tentacles wrapping around her body, she grinned maniacally as she looked at her.

As she spoke, it was as if it was an eternity and yet only a moment so the same, her mouth opened and distorted in various ways and her words were of every language all at once, even ones that are of the Outer Gods.

But as soon as she spoke, she immediately shifted back to her normal self as she beamed at Helsa.

"Hello ma'am! My name is Abigail Williams! It's such a pleasure to meet a friend of the Patron!"
Ho Ho Ho! Merry Krassmas to-all-all! And many-many-more.
Just then Inqui suddenly felt a shudder on her back, someone she knew was in Ocaeril, but was it a good thing or bad? She didn't want to find out.

...what.

Helsa was really confused and kind of unnerved by what just happened.

"...nice meeting you too."

Just then Inqui suddenly felt a shudder on her back, someone she knew was in Ocaeril, but was it a good thing or bad? She didn't want to find out.

And then Helsa noticed Inqui shuddering subtly, which gave her a excuse to completely forget about what just happened. "What happened?" She asked. "You just...shivered suddenly."

Immediately as Ocaeril and Tanya were...Quite literally blown into a cavern, his appearance changed immediately. Long white robes that actually covered his entire body were now being worn, his tattoos disappeared, and so did his horns. He looked like a Sage, someone that came from the Jade Empire, almost. Although, the only thing that he found out that he couldn't change, at least not automatically like that was his skin tone and eyes. His skin was still a deep white, if not nearly blue, followed by blue irises only. Making him both have a handsome appearance, as well as an...Unnerving one. He looked like a ghost, almost.

Of course, Ocaeril's attention turned to the dancing young girl in the tavern, and a smile came over his face. He naturally didn't think of her as the one he was looking for, though she did seem of importance due to some unknown meta-knowledge that he wasn't aware of. Still, he chuckled and clapped his hands softly to the rhythm of the music, humming softly.

"So, who is the one we are looking for? Merlin, right? I don't quite see him anywhere, or at least someone who looks like him..." His voice changed to a less godly and mighty one to a softer one, too.

He was...Was he seriously not getting the hidden meaning of the lyrics?

Zeruel floated triumphantly above the new capital, her spawn herding armies of slaves to their new jobs. She was Empress.

...what.

Helsa was really confused and kind of unnerved by what just happened.

"...nice meeting you too."
Abigail beamed even more at Helsa, she could've swore that she was literally shining.

"Oh joy! I'm truly grateful!"
And then Helsa noticed Inqui shuddering subtly, which gave her a excuse to completely forget about what just happened. "What happened?" She asked. "You just...shivered suddenly."
Inqui looked at Helsa and spoke in a haunted tone.

"Imagine if that nice but creepy dude who gave you presents every December who you eventually learnt may or may not be a creepy...child-lover was somehow able to come to Ocaeril, that, that is why I'm shivering"

Tanya growled as she crossed her arms, glaring at the dancing and singing young white-haired woman.

"Yes, it's Merlin, and wait, wait till the girl's done singing and tapping like a tavern hoe"

The other people inside the Tavern noticed Ocaeril and Tanya but didn't press on as when the young girl noticed they were looking at them, she seductively sauntered towards them and places her hands over their bodies as they giggled in euphoria.

Eventually the young girl bowed down as dozens of tankards were set on her feet.

"Thank you! Thank you! Tis performance was made by yours truly! Mari-chan! Thank you for your applause! Thank you really!"

She then went down the counter and patted the brown-haired girl's head.

"And that is how you can get free drinks my lovely apprentice!"

"E-ermm t-the song's w-was a bit umm raunchy"

"Raunchy? Oh why that was part of Magical Mari's charm!" she then posed in a cutesy pose that emanated glitters and sparkles while the apprentice face-faulted at that.

Both of them then went towards Tanya and Ocaeril.

"Well, well, if it isn't the lovely queen of Camelot! How's the business going along sugar toots?"

Tanya sighed in response "yes, yes, it's doing well...Merlin" she then turned to Ocaeril with eyes as if she was saying "oh god, please kill me now", and then motioned to Merlin.

"Ocaeril, this is Merlin, the half-born of Lucifer himself"

"Well my dashing looks do have to come from somewhere~"

"The former Anti-Christ"

"Well Anti-Christ is a bit of a harsh word, I'd prefer Person who likes to delve deep into my hobbies while coincidentally related to Lucy Gooesy, mouthful I know"

"The one who orchestrated King Arthur and his adventures"

"Oh yeah I remember Arty! She was such a nice kid! Although she did turned into such a grumpy puss when she grew up, also Arty-Wartsy is actually a, wait for it, Girl!" Merlin gasped "shocking I know right?! Anyways Mordred was only made because I made Arty able to, she should thank me"

"Yeah I don't think she won't"

Merlin shrugged in response "was worth a try at least"

Tanya simply sighed in response "goodness I want to kill you sometimes, anyways, he is also! My Royal Court Magus and the person I want to stab so hard right now"

"D'aaw!" Merlin clicked her tongue "why thank you Tanny! Your words of agony fuel me truly so! Also not only am I those titles, I'm alsooooo! A Magical Girl, A cook, A cassanova, A Nekomatus, Tutor, Grand Caster, Hero of the Day, A damn hot sexy piece of buns, a hunk-a-donk, a swordsman, an amazing singer, a mystery man, aaaand a gardener! I did made the garden of Avalon!"

She then turned towards to Ocaeril before giggling as she embraced Ocaeril as would a daughter would "Daddy! Oh how I misssed you! muah! muah!" Merlin then whispered into Ocaeril's ears "I have bedded many of your children, both genders, and also Fou, how do you like me now daddy?~"

(OOC: I hate writing Merlin)

...okay, what.

"I...I am not sure what to say to that."
