Veronica looked up at the man who approached them. "Do not worry, sir. We will make sure to protect all of you and catch the demons behind the attacks." She smiled and looked back at to where Ash was, but she seem to have disappeared. "Huh?" She looked around and saw that Ash had gone over to the sheep, touching their wool. "Hey Ash, I'm going to walk around this place for a while longer." She yelled over to Ash and went to explore the rest of the town.

"H-hey!" The alchemist interjected, exasperated with Lily's behavior. "This root is 20 gold a piece! You better have the money to pay for it!" He says, but sighs, dejected. "...Adventurers."

---

The night started to roll in. As soon as the last rays of sunlight started to disappear on the horizon, The city started to lose what little life it had. Doors started being closed, windows barred. The lamps on the city weren't even lit, the lamplighter hid as well from the darkness. A starless night took the place of the comforting day, the full moon providing its pale light for the adventurers. They were back at the Mayor's house, where most of the villagers resided. "I hope you can help us, adventurers. I don't know how much Owca can take." The mayor said, clutching his hands together. A fast fading pain reached the heroes' heads, accompanied by a familiar voice. "Is everything okay in there? You haven't said anything the whole day. I don't see any movement from the outskirts." Myremon said, telepathically.

"Do not worry, sir." Veronica looked outside the windows. The only light that shone through the darkness was from the full moon up in the sky. She felt a quick pain in her head as she began to hear Myremon's voice. "Oh ye-" She remembered she couldn't communicate with him. She turned to Shi "Shi, tell Myremon that we're all good, just keeping watch from inside the Mayor's house." Ash was on the other side of the house, checking the windows there.

Lily's response to the alchemist was a simple wave of the hand, followed by an amused giggle. Saving their little town was payment enough, after all. Then again, if they didn't save the town, she wouldn't have to worry about the cost anyhow!

"Agh!" Lily jumped in shock at the sudden invading voice within her mind, a clang of glass filling the room as the foxkin almost dropped her instruments. "First Shi and now you!?" She gave a playful slap on the counter, with a pout as forced as could be, toward seemingly no-one nearby. Having taken the few things she needed to finish up to the Mayor's house, she looked back over to the man, holding a few vials within her hand, one of which, swirled with familiar tendrils, a smoke filling the glass of the purple liquid. "If this works how it does in my head, we'll have nothing to worry about mister Mayor!" The girl gave a reassuring, closed eye smile, her head tilting toward the man.

Shi

Shi had been following behind the group, making sure not to get into anything. The people were already hurt as it is. She heard Myremon in her head and then Veronica was telling her to talk to him back. She nodded.
"All good inside Mayor's house."
She turned to look at Veronica.
"Mayor?"
Something crashed through the window, shattering the glass - and part of the wall. It hopped to it's feet and Shi reflexively hissed.
"Demon!"

Myremon nodded to no one in particular. "Ah, great. I suppose the Mayor's House is the biggest one in the village?" He said, but already knowing the answer. "I can only hear Shi, so I'll be relying on her to relay whatever you're saying." He said, closing his book. He took flight, surveying the environment, but nothing caught his eye. "There's nothing yet from the outskirts. Keep your guard up. Ask the mayor what time the demons appear."

Nazzek Minara
The merfolk was antsy, pacing back and forth on the main hall. He spent the whole day helping on the reconstruction and repair efforts, but that sort of work didn't make him even break a sweat. Nodding at Myremon's question, he stopped pacing. "When's them demons gon show up? I'm itchin' fer a fight." He said, looking at the mayor. "They come randomly at night. There's no sound or anything of them coming, they just... show up and start killing and destroying." The mayor said, looking at the windows every so often.

As if the mayor predicted, a demon crashed through the window, spraying glass and wood everywhere, making short work of the shoddy barricade made by the villagers. The few people hit by debris cried out in fear and surprise, some reeling back from the place where the demon landed. The demon hissed at the townsfolk, a smile creeping on his face. "Master Aiala will have lots of fun with you!" He lunged for the nearest villager, but a mass of blue stood in the path of the demon. An angry snarl escaped from the merfolk as he punched the demon away from the villagers. "Yer fight with me, lad!" He said, drawing his swords.

Myremon Seonag
The wizard heard the cries of terror from the villagers, and distinct sounds on the main road. "Everyone, get to safety, protect the villagers!" He said, soaring towards the Mayor's house.

Veronica turned around to see what had broken the window behind her, only to have her cheek cut by one of the shards of glass that went flying. She grabbed her sword "Ash, protect the villagers!" She yelled at her, beginning to charge at the demons that began to come in. Ash summoned and gauntlets and stood near the villagers, smacking the imps, goblins and demons that came near.

Ash felt something, the same good feeling from when she was killing the imps. The same feeling that Myremon has forced her to feel for her training. The feeling of pride. She tried to hold it in. She tries to ignore it, trying to focus on protecting the villagers. She didn't care much about Myremon, but she didn't want to disappoint him, since he was helping her with this. She wants to be able to escape her curse but it feels so good! She wants to embrace this feeling. She grabs two demons that came close to her. Her eyes began to glow with a deep purple color. "Nyeheheh!" She smashed the two demons together and threw them aside, rushing to the front. The same wind that showed up when she was fighting Myremon, began to push away the demons towards the walls. It seemed to affect only the enemies but the hard wind was still felt by everybody.
"A-Ash!? What are you doing!?" Veronica yelled.

The demon girl ignored her, as well as the demons which were pushed against the wall, and smashed through one of the windows, crushing a goblin under the debris. She looked forward and saw a small horde of enemies. "Nyeheheheh!" She stood up heroically "You think you have a chance against me? Come on then!" As soon as she finished, she jumped up and launched herself against the horde of enemies, crushing them and slamming them into the ground, being somewhat careful to not smash them into any buildings..

Owca - 8th Day
Looking over in surprise at the sudden glass break, Lily began to stare toward their new guest, a light smile on her face. "We do love fun!" She giggled toward the creature, watching with interest as Nazzek began to square off against it. Her attention was cut off, however, by the force from Ash's blows.

Clapping her hands together, Lily began to chuckle with glee. "Oooh! Look at her go Ron-Ron!" She watched in amazement, her grin growing as more demons fell victim to the child's rampage, caring little for the destruction it caused around them, despite the fur on her body being blown every which way, covering in dust.

Bringing her hand up to her back, Lily drew her blowgun, opening her pouch before sticking one of the tipped darts within it. *vwoomp* Strong breaths of air sent darts flying toward the demon's in the sides of the building, and some perched above that had crashed through the ceiling. With each push from her lungs, there seemed to be a short pause, before another goblin or imp would fall, unconscious. It seemed between each blow, an excited sound would escape the half-human, who enjoyed the commotion far too much. As a lesser demon fell from the ceiling, face down, a dart sticking out from its backside, Lily looked out into the town below.

Casually skipping toward one of the shattered windows, the fox girl took her position, aiming down at the demons that pillaged the town, eyes glancing back ever so often to check on her comrades expectantly.

Shi

Shi set Bunny down and jumped through the broken window. Her tails whipped out and stabbed through three of the demons. She hissed at another and grabbed it's arm, throwing it into another. Filthy creatures. Attacking innocents. She bared her fangs in a snarl and threw another of the demons away from nearly tearing down a door.
"Safety! Get to safety!"

Myremon Seonag
Myremon reached the Mayor's House on the cusp of battle, entering through a window broken by the demons. Lily had that same wicked smile as always, as her darts pierced through the enemy forces. Nazzek was on the offensive, trying to kill the entry points of the demons. Shi defended the villagers, baring fangs at the demons and imps trying to get to the helpless folk. Veronica was defending the villagers as well, but the main concern of Myremon was Ash. She had the glow of Pride in her eyes as she recklessly attacked more and more, ignoring any wound she would take. "By the gods..." Myremon said, irritated. He pointed his staff at the space between the girl and her targets, hoping it would break her fight, making time for him to reason. "Ash! Control yourself!" He screamed, already casting several darkness bolts to strike the weakest enemies.

Nazzek Minara
The merfolk went on the offensive, hacking and slashing the invaders. "Where are they coming from?" He shouted to no one in particular, closing his distance on a broken window. When he reached it, He grabbed a table and wedged it on the window, temporarily closing the entryway of the demons. "They're giving me on the nerves!" He exclaimed, wedging his sword on the chest of an imp.

Ash's eyes seemed to flicker for a moment but the glow of Pride returned. "Don't worry about it Miermon, I got this!" She yelled as she continued punching her way through the horde, receiving cuts and bruises all the while, nearly getting hit by some of Myremon's darkness bolts. After receiving a heavy blow from one of the demons, she got knocked back quite a few meters away. "Heh, Nice try!" With a blast from her gauntlets, she launched herself into the air and dove back down, creating a small crater on her landing, knocking back quite a few monsters away. "Nyeheheheheh!" She smashed a nearby monster into the ground and uppercut another. "Woooooo!" Her jacket hood had come off, revealing her small horns and long hair.

Owca - 8th Day
Small fingers slipping into her pouch, Lily felt around for the next dart, but already with the seemingly endless waves of approaching demons, she was running low. Another imp charged, her hand fumbling toward her side, unsheathing the blade beside it and arcing it over the figure's small body. The awkward cut from the untrained swordsman caused a rough splatter over her grinning face, which didn't seem to change as the imp fell back in an agonising cry.

The foxkin continued to scan the area, watching with glee as the others continued in battle, slightly giggling as Myremon entered the fray, before she spotted a peculiar demon in the distance. This one didn't seem to be mindlessly charging forward, despite his larger stature, his mouth moving rapidly as he pointed toward the mayor's house. Head tilting slightly to the side, Lily's grin widened as she observed the creature, the perfect specimen to test her latest poultices.

The purple liquid continued to emit a foul mist of tendrils, even as she uncorked it, dipping one of the darts into it with care after placing her blade to the side. With gusto, she hopped over toward the exposed part of the house, placing the now doused dart into her blowgun. *Thwuump* Almost immediately after the strong breath of air left her mouth, the larger demon could be seen slapping his neck, like a mosquito had just invaded it, before he pulled the dart out, staring at it in confusion, before back up at the smiling beastkin that waved back at him.

An expression of confusion quickly turned to shock, and then, agony. From his neck, a thick layer of what looked like stone started to develop, gradually spreading across his body from the original point of contact. "Look! Look!" Lily yelled out toward the others, pointing toward the figure proudly, unable to contain her excitement as she hopped in place, a bone rattling scream of pain erupting from the figure soon afterwards, as the substance finally covered his mouth.

The approaching lesser demons started to grow confused, the waves of reinforcements slowed. Lily began to run around the room happily, overjoyed with this new discovery. "It works! It's better than even I imagined!" She continued to yell, her body barely dodging goblins who moved to cut at her in her distracted state. The beastkin continued to babble, but for those still watching, the victim of her poisoned dart did not remain still for long.

Cracks began to form in the substances, a thick, purple energy erupting from them. It was unnatural, and disgusting to observe, as a black pus ran down the sides of the remaining substance, one of the villagers who looked over from within at the commotion, soon turned their head back, attempting to hold themselves from spilling their guts from the sight of it. Soon, the several cracks expanded, before connecting, an otherworldly howl seeming to rumble from within.

Before the entire cocoon tore, it expanded, three feet each way, a blood red light shining from where the demon's eyes should have been. Then, finally.... "WHUUUUUUUUUEL" The... By this point it would be far more accurate to call it a creature than a demon. Stone flew in every direction as the substance shattered, unleashing the beast within, its eyes shining abruptly as they looked around. The creature ebbed corruption, a thick black steam constantly flowing from its body. Lily suddenly stopped, mid-skip, to stare at it, her entire body seeming to pause.

As one of the other demons came to approach it, slowly edging toward the creature to see if it was okay, a large hand reached out, crushing its small skull. Finally, it looked up toward the house, before looking toward the streets below, and then... It charged.

Not toward the heros, nor the humans in particular, but to whatever was closest, another imp, in this case, grabbing it by each end with its oversized claws, ripping it in two. Lily's face dropped at the sight of whatever this thing was, not in any sort of shame, but amazement. The foxkin, for what seemed like the first time in her life, didn't say a word, she just watched as the corruption fuelled creature continued its mindless rampage.

After a few lesser demons fell victim to the creatures wrath, others had fled, at least out of its sight. That was when it set its sights on the manor above. A loud crash could be heard, as well as felt, as it leapt onto the upper story where the villagers hid, causing what felt like an earthquake of an aftershock that moved the entire building from side to side. Long, putrid breaths excreted from the creatures nostrils as it stared down at Lily, before it brought its hands up like a hammer, ready to strike the girl, who remained stuck in a state of awe.

Myremon Seonag
Myremon cursed under his breath when the blast failed to snap some sense into Ash. If she continued to fight like that, she would've end up killed. He kept his assault, picking off the stragglers slipping from Shi's reach, thanks to his aerial advantage. "Ash! ASH! Stop this, you'll end up killed!" He demanded. Lily was right under him as he defended the citizens, her giggling bring a shiver down his body. He noticed the purple vial on her hand, the familiar inky darkness mingling with it. "So you finally used it, huh..." However, all of his thoughts stopped when the demon hit by Lily's dart howled.

It was like a strike right into Myremon's mind. The echoes of the demon's pained howl reverberated through his mind, making the wraith falter in his flight. His vision became blurry, and he fell down from the ceiling of the manor. The only thing that really made noise enough for someone to listen when he fell down was his mask, the heavy iron piece striking the earth heavily. Myremon's head started throbbing with pain, at first just a mild headache, but as the poison started to change the demon, the pain intensified. Soon, Myremon was screaming in tandem with the demon. He fainted momentarily when the screaming stopped, the wizard barely staying awake. The beast spoke, or at least tried to, and Myremon could hear it perfectly in his mind. He struggled to raise himself again, and took flight, although he could barely stay up. The monster charged on the first thing that came in too close, ripping it to shreds, and Myremon felt the unbridled rage that filled it, a mindless husk... waiting?

The creature charged on the house, and Myremon finally saw it as it was. The demon was deformed, black steam erupting from the joints, hollow eyes and a twisted jawline, fangs too large to be kept inside its mouth. his skin still held bits and pieces of the shell that changed him, held only by the blood that dried up on its grey and purple skin. The thing raised its brutal fists, ready to flatten Lily, but as soon as he tried to strike, Myremon's voice echoed through the whole manor. "AKKA!" The thing stopped, mere inches above Lily, and stayed there, as if a force prevented him from proceeding. "Makkuri ocha azkan!" Myremon said, his speech different, as if three instances of his voice talked at the same time. The beast turned itself towards the horde and started attacking as well, its relentless attacks driving a wedge between Owca's defenders and the demon forces.

Ash didn't even register the beast's howls, her Pride enhancing her physical capabilities as she continued to strike down the imp hordes, the battle fueling an endless loop of sin. As soon as Myremon uttered those words, however, she stopped. The bright glow of her eyes faded slowly, returning to normal, but began to flicker red, leaving her momentarily dazed. The same feeling from before came and wanted to take over, but she didn't want to fall into Wrath. Out of all of the sins, Wrath felt the worse to fall into. She stopped, retreating as her prideful attack began to take its toll on the girl. Myremon noticed that and shouted. "Shi... Ash snapped out of her trance, so uchza... I mean, heal her!" Myremon said between grunts of pain. Controlling that thing was harder than he thought.

Nazzek Minara
The merfolk retreated when the beast hit the manor, his stomach churning upon seeing the beast. He was ready to enter the fray, but Myremon's voice made him stop in his heels. The beast retreated and started attacking the demon forces, which opened up some breathing room on the manor; Nazzek could finally drive the offensive. "Ey Myremon! Whatever you're doing, don't stop now!" He screamed, a toothy grin flashing across his face. He went outside the manor and started striking down the demons as well, taking great care as to not approach Myremon's new pet.

Shi

Shi struck down imps, but turned around when Myremon called her name. She ran over to Ash and picked the girl up to take her somewhere safe. She pressed her hand to her forehead and entered her consciousness. She searched for the injury and found it with ease, pouring energy into it to heal it over. When it was all done she pulled from her mind and set her down.
"All healed."
She ran off to find any other people that were injured by the demons. She found a man with a gash along his arm. She approached him slowly and touched his arm. She started healing him like she had many times before. The man thanked her and showed her to the other injured people. She smiled as kindly as she could without showing her teeth and set about healing the women, child, and men hurt by the demons, glancing every once in a while to make sure everything was okay.

Veronica continued to defend the villagers, making sure not one demon got past her. She pulled Lily back with one of her snakes, a few seconds after she nearly got crushed by the big demon. "Lily! You have to be more careful!" She yelled, blood dripping from her cheek. The girl looked forward once more and continued to defend the villagers, her snakes protecting her from anything that would cause her harm, throwing them outside so Myremon and Nazzek could deal with them.

After Shi healed her, Ash sat up and took a moment to rest "Thanks Shi." She stood up and tried to summon her gauntlets, but the only thing that would appear was a short blue flame that would envelop her hands before disappearing soon after. She had used up nearly all her mana during her pride-filled rampage. She looked forward with a frustrated expression. She wouldn't be able to do anything. She couldn't attack, her gauntlets wouldn't appear. She couldn't risk getting hit, her jacket didn't provide any protection. "..Tch.." She went towards Shi and put herself in front of everyone. She could at least try and punch with her fists.

Owca - 8th Day
Lily's body didn't move, even as the creature's fists began to crash down upon her. Her eyes permanently pried open, staring upward, a stunned expression slowly rising as it stopped at Myremon's command.

A rag-doll, Lily's light body flopped backwards by the force of Veronica's snake, the girl's words barely audible in her state. The thick corruption in Myremon's voice seemed to echo within the foxling's mind, her grin growing as she watched the corrupted demon would beck to his every call. "Heh." Lily lightly huffed, her body falling to the ground after it had been pulled back, wide eyes gazing onward at the scene. "Ha ha... Hahaha!" The half-human's state of awe turned to an uncontrolled cackle, it was as if nothing surrounding them existed, her attention completely enthralled by her own creation.

"Look at how beautiful it is! I would have never imagined such a thing possible!" She continued to laugh between her words, which were thick of a bewildered pride. The girl hadn't even taken notice of the pain it caused the wraith, yet despite his command, the creature's body continued to twist and turn back toward them in short intervals, its unbridled hatred and rage pushing the berserking body. The question still remained. How long would the concoction hold? If it wasn't permanent, that was...

Myremon Seonag
Myremon saw as the beast tore through the demon's offensive, mauling and tearing flesh from corrupted bone with ease. Myremon was starting to get accustomed with the control over the monster, even though some stings of pain were felt every time the beast tried to resume his uncontrolled attack, until the pain came back with full force. The corrupted beast howled with pain as smoke poured out of every orifice, the same wispy smoke that composed Myremon's being. The wizard screamed in pain again, in tandem with his pet, as the monster started to decay faster and faster. A gruesome and disgusting sight, parts of the monster held by pure dark magic were dislodging and falling on the floor, dissipating in smoke soon after. Each time it passed, the thing decayed more, until his arms and legs fell along with the smaller chunks. The beast toppled, the torso being engulfed in purple flames and wispy smoke, and then, disappeared, as if nothing was there.

As if a switch had been flicked, Myremon ceased movement, falling again on the floor. The mage was completely unconscious, his darkness proof that he was still alive, albeit knocked out for gods know how long.

Nazzek Minara
Nazzek finished off one last demon before looking at the light show. He whistled as he nudged a terrified citizen near him. "Fireworks are always fun to watch, eh? Haha!" The merfolk laughed as the beast dissipated, and when it finally did, the last of the offense was fleeing into the night. "We won, and without any casualties!" He threw his hands into the air, ecstatic, but the citizens were still a bit shocked. "Are they really gone?" A meek voice came from the back. "Yeah! C'mon guys, we won!" The citizens started to murmur, then cheer. The demon menace was repelled, and nobody died or was kidnapped that night.

After slaying a few more enemies, Veronica checked around for any more signs of the threat, but was relieved to see they were gone. She went outside to see where Myremon was, finding him collapsed on the floor. She stood and looked at him for a few seconds before yelling "Myremon!" She ran over and picked him up. Thankfully, he wasn't dead, just unconscious.

Ash made sure that not a single demon came close to the villagers, punching them to at least halt them for a moment so one of Veronica's snakes could toss them outside. Once the demon attack ended, she adjusted her jacket and looked happy. "They're gone!" She jumped up excitedly and cheered with the villagers.

Shi

Shi turned to look as the demon fell apart. She stuck her tongue out like a child and went back to healing the last of the villagers. They thanked her and she turned to go back to the rest of her friends. That gave her pause for a moment. She had friends. She smiled and continued walking. Her smile fell when she saw Myremon unconscious.
"Myremon!"
She went over to check and see if he was alive. She tried to shake him awake, but to no avail. She didn't know how wraiths worked so she didn't want to try healing him. What if she did something wrong and hurt him worse? She looked up when Veronica picked him up.
"What happened?"

Owca - 8th Day
The expression of awe flickered as the beast's flesh wavered, slight bouts of concern infecting Lily's otherwise ecstatic visage, until it finally dissipated, along with the girl's glee, if only for a moment. A short "Hmph." escaped the foxling, who gazed at the now empty spot where the creature had existed, a mixture of disappointment and wonder stretched across her furred face. "Needs a bit more testing..." She began, a small hand reaching to scratch her chin, before being thrown in the air, her expression following suite as a wide smile materialised. "But it's definitely a start!" Lily yelled out with joy, her eyes shutting from the strain of it, as they moved over, looking onward toward the one who had taken the reigns of her 'little' abomination.

"How did you do that anyw!..." Lily began, excitedly, before noticing the wraiths body strewn across the ground. Whatever it was he had done, it had clearly taken its toll, just when Lily had started to think there was nothing that could stop the former-human. Lily smiled at the townsfolk as she began to skip down toward Myremon, though most were clearly unsure of her after her strange rant. If not for the half-human's less than threatening physical features, they may not have returned a glance at all.

Reaching his body, Lily glanced between Veronica and Shi, the wide smile still sprawling across her cheeks. "Little wraithy's probably just worn out! Don't ya' worry a bit about it!" The Beastkin giggled, looking down toward Myremon, before drawing a vial from her belt. "It's just a healing tonic, calm down! Not sure if it'll do any good, but it... Shouldn't... Do any bad!" Lily giggled, before popping the cork, bending down to reach for the Wraith's mask, her grin clearly growing in anticipation of the sight of it. She had no idea how wraiths worked either, much to her dismay, but the foxling wasn't advertent to finding out.

"He's just unconcious." Veronica responded. She looked over to Lily, who skipped over to them. "I don't know if a healing tonic would do anything. He doesn't seem to have any physical injuries."

Ash walked over to Nazzek, who was celebrating with the villagers. "Hey, Nazzehk, What do we do now?" They had defeated all the demons and saved the villagers, but how are they going to find where they came from?

Myremon Seonag
Lily had opened the mask of the wraith and poured the supposed healing potion inside, but after a while, nothing happened. Myremon remained unmoving. If Lily would examine him, she would see that Myremon was intact, and by order of deduction, she would realize that his damage was psychic, a byproduct of the forced connection and disconnection with the corrupted beast.
Nazzek Minara
The merfolk was cheering with the townsfolk when Ash approached him. "Well, I dunno... I was thinking of licking my wounds then waiting for Myremon to wake up. Seems like they teleported in here, so, don't you guys have any magical thingies to make the spell show up? I dunno, the only magic here are these muscles!" He laughed while flexing. "Sorry kid, I've got no idea. In the meantime, let's grab something to eat and rest. The mayor offered more cash for us helping fix the damage the demons did to the manor."

Owca - 8th Day
Lily stared, intrigued, at the wraith's open mask before pouring the substance in. If it was physical exhaustion, the substance would at least help, but in the state Myremon was in, it didn't seem likely, there was clearly more to the link than she had first realised. "Amazing!" She simply concluded, continuing to watch him, before overhearing Nazzek's words from afar. "Neither do I!" The foxling's eyes closed as she giggled her words out, staring back over toward the group.

"How 'bout you set the spooky wraith somewhere safe Nazzey! Surely something in my bags will work! No harm in experi... Tryin' 'em out!" Lily grinned from ear to ear, skipping over toward the large beastkin as she spoke, glancing back over to Ash and Veronica. "So! What reward 'we lookin' at here!?" She wondered aloud cheerfully.

Nazzek Minara
"I dunno... Hey, Mr. Mayor!" The mayor looked up from a wounded woman. "What do you need, Mr. Minara?" Nazzek grinned, showing his rows of sharp teeth to the mayor. "Mr. Minara was the cap'n, so call me Nazzek. Anyway, fox over here wants to know about the reward over fixing the place." The mayor thought about it for some time. "Well, I'm sure we can scrounge up something, but right now I can't think about rewards. I need to help the citizens, especially the wounded." He pointed at a girl with a broken arm, the dirt around the wound a clear indication that debris hit the poor woman hard. "Can the tailed one help us once more? I'll need some help tending the wounded." He looked at the adventurer's expectantly. Nazzek scratched his chin, then turned around. "Ay, Shi! Mayor gots some jobs for ye!" He went to where Myremon was, and hoisted the wraith up. "Hah, he's lighter than I expected..." The merfolk put Myremon on his shoulder with one hand and went towards the cots, placing him on an empty one. "There, now let's get t' work." He clapped both pairs of hands and set out to grab the biggest debris he could find, aiding the other citizens with the repair efforts.

Veronica began helping Nazzek with the repairs, with the help of her snakes, lifting up debris and boards, helping repair some of the walls and windows. Ash attempted to help with what she could, carrying small rocks and boards to the other villagers. Her mana still hadn't recovered so her strength was only that of a small child's.
