"But I use a sword too! Look!" Lily fumbled the weapon from its sheath, pulling it out into the air proudly, before the hard steel leapt from her hands as the handle slipped her grasp. A loud *CLANG* could be heard as it hit the roof above them, before falling toward the ground with a few more. "Hehe..." Lily's body shrunk slightly as others in the room stared toward them, a disapproving expression coming from the clerk, Lily's expression shrinking to a small smile.

Shi

Shi tilted her head at Nazek's reaction to her age. Five? No, Shi wasn't five. She'd know if she was five. She walked over to him, watching him carefully.
"Shark okay? Shark need help?"
She placed her hand on his shoulder, trying to make sure he was okay. He looked upset or something and Shi felt that inner instinct to help.
"Shi can help Shark."

Nazzek Minara​

"Wha? Oh, uh, nah, lass. T'was just shock, 's all. Ye look like yer more than five years old, I gots to tell ye." He said, finishing his sheet. Rising from his seat, he looked towards the counter. "Oh look, the mage lad is back."

Myremon Seonag​

"I believe everything is in order, then?" The wolfkin nodded happily. "Certainly, Mr. Seonag. Welcome back to the Adventurer's Guild." She went back to her place behind the counter, while Myremon went to check on everyone. "Did everyone finish their forms?" He took the papers from everybody's hands and gave them to the attendant. "Let me see... Okay! Just a minute!" She went to the back again, and after several minutes, she returned with several necklaces with bronze tags. "Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild of Nier! Don't lose this tag, it's crucial for your identification."

The small tag had the logo of the guild on the front. It was well made and sturdy, the bronze color shining faintly when exposed to light. When the heroes turned their tags, they saw their name along with a string of numbers. Myremon showed his own, a silver tag, rather than a bronze one. "You can direct yourselves to the quest board to see all available quests. Since one of you is already Silver rank, you are eligible for Silver Rank quests." Myremon shook his head, producing a paper, much like the others in the board, setting it on the table. "There's no need, Marissa. We are taking this one." Marissa nodded and took the paper from the table. "Oh, the Owca request! Most certainly." She turned her back again, and Myremon did the same, addressing his friends. "I hope it's okay. Owca is a village two days from here, and rumours say that a group of demons is kidnapping the villagers, once every week. Plus, they seem to have blocked the roads that lead to the village, so we don't have any information. They said it was a miracle that a caravan got news from there." Marissa returned with the necessary papers, and after Myremon signed, she gave him a paper slip. "Everything's set. Good luck!" Myremon nodded. "Okay everyone, are you ready?"

Veronica sighed. Walking once more, how fun. "Yeah, I'm ready." She put on the necklace. Ash was having some trouble putting it on because of her hair but after a bit of effort, she was finally able to put it on. "I'm ready too." They both walked outside and waited on the others. "This city is way bigger than before." Ash looked around, at all the different people and building and items.

Shi

Shi looked confused at his words.
"Shi not five!"
She was quickly distracted when she was given a necklace. She looked at it before trying to put it over her head. It momentarily caught on her horns before she got it on, beaming triumphantly. She looked down and fiddled with it.

Nier - 4th Day​

Lily grinned brightly at the necklace, before looking over toward Myremon's with a slightly slanted expression. Placing it in her bag, the half-human looked back up to listen to the mission. "Oooh! A mystery! Ishi!" She smiled back at the receptionist, before skipping out of the door. As she got out, Lily jumped up toward Veronica. "Isn't it exciting Ron-Ron!? Adventure awaits! Plus, we might be able to cut down a few demon on the way!" Lily grinned nonchalantly, giggle from the thought of it. "Just think of the possibilities!"

Nazzek Minara​

"Well, I'm ready already. Hope we bring the fight back to them demons, aye?" He said, showing his bag. His swords were already holstered, and he made a scene of showing the claws on his upper arms.

Myremon Seonag​

"Excellent. Let's go." Myremon said, directing the group to the door. With the remaining money, he bought some rations, but asked of Lily and Veronica to try and hunt food for the full trip. They left the city right after, taking up to the wilderness again.

5th Day​

The roads were already darkening by the time the adventurers reached a rather crude bridge. Myremon checked the map, looking twice at the bridge. "Strange... the map is recent, yet it doesn't show this bridge..." He instantly pointed his staff at a figure approaching them from the nearby patch of forest. The creature was half the size of a normal human, its bald head, glowing red eyes, red skin and spaded tail displaying their demonic heritage. It wore nothing more than a loincloth, and walked menacingly towards the group. "Hm, just an imp. They spawn from eggs, and a-" he was thrown off guard when a rock hit him on the side of his mask. Looking behind, he saw more and more imps crawling from the trees and bushes, armed with crude weapons and rocks. "AN AMBUSH!" Myremon screamed, already blasting one of the Imps in front of him. Nazzek drew his swords, laughing. "It's a good day to kill some demons!" he exclaimed, charging towards where the biggest amount of Imps were. "LOOK FOR THE LORD!" Myremon shouted, charging to the frey as well.

The imps were in a large quantity, but counting them in dim light was hard. They shouted at the adventurers, in a language nobody understood, their eyes maliciously eyeing the women and the group's equipment. "KILL THEM!" a voice emanated from the forest, but its source was nowhere to be seen.

"Yeah." Once everybody else got ready, they all bought some food with their remaining money and left the city soon after.

Day 5


"It doesn't show the bridge?" Veronica took a look at the map Myremon was holding. "You're right." She stepped back when Myremon aimed his staff at something. "Hm?" She turned to look. "An imp, huh? They're pretty ugly looking." She unsheathed her sword when Myremon yelled that it was an ambush. "Our first actual fight since we got here." She charged at the imps who were behind them, her hair becoming snakes, and began fighting them. Thanks to her snakes, she couldn't be attacked from behind. Her fighting style was more aggressive than the one Myremon saw back in Darkene when she was practicing her swordsmanship.

Ash summoned her giant gauntlets and went at them as well, throwing them into trees and smashing them into the ground. "Nyeheheheheheh!" After so long, she was actually fighting Imps, one of the races that had attacked her village along with Wraiths, Demons and Goblins. She was so proud that she could actually fight back this time! After killing a couple of the imps, her eyes slowly became a deep purple color. "Nyeheheheheh...Nyahahahah!" It was so thrilling for her, so accomplishing! This time, she wasn't hiding away scared. She was fighting them and helping! Her eyes were glowing, her attacks seemed more powerful. She wasn't paying attention though, to the injuries she was sustaining from some of the imps who had managed to hit her with the rocks and sharp weapons.

Shi

Shi didn't know what to do when they were being attacked. She held onto her fluffy creature and watched them all fighting. She wanted to do something, wanted to help. She set the creature off to the side beneath a bush, hoping it would be safe. She turned to watch them fight, getting ready to charge when a sharp pitch resonated in her ears. She hissed and crouched down. She felt weird, but powerful. It was strange and amazing at the same time. She felt the air whoosh around her and felt her bones shifting. As abruptly as it started it stopped. She opened her eyes and found her body had changed. She was now nearly three times the size she was before and her three tails had become one.
She took a moment to get her bearings before she looked up at the little demons. She let out a frightening roar and charged forward, careful to avoid her friends. She began ripping into the creatures. She felt bones crunch between her fangs and beneath her feet. She tasted the blood, but she didn't care. These things had attacked her friends. She'd defend them until she died. Because that's what she did best. She protects what she cares about. She let out another roar, tearing through imps.

Myremon Seonag​

Myremon was so immersed in the fight, blasting imps with dark energy, that he didn't even register Shi's transformation until she roared. He didn't recognizing her at first, readying a blast towards her, but the mana signature was hers. "She's a shapeshifter golem..." He thought, then retreated, flying near her. "SHI! I'LL CHARGE YOU UP, ATTACK THEM!" he said, positioning himself in between the crystals on her back. He grabbed them, channelling his mana through her, empowering the golem-turned-dragon. The mana that coursed through her was tainted, but Myremon's influence prevented the corruption from reaching her core. His theory was that her mana absorbing abilities would adapt any excess mana to her abilities. It was time to put that to the test.

Nazzek Minara​

Nazzek didn't shed a single drop of sweat, as he hacked and slashed through the imps. When he crushed an Imp's head with his upper arms, he turned to the dragon, his jaw going almost to the floor. "What the hell izzat? Shi?" He said, a smile creeping up on his face. He laughed yet again, resuming his slaughter. His swords made quick work of the imps, but their numbers seemed to maintain stable. Nazzek didn't mind, he was happy to kill as many demons as he could.

Nier - 5th Day​

"You humans put too much faith in your maps, look, it's right there!" Lily giggled at the notion, looking back from the bridge toward Myremon's expression, and his sudden reaction. Lily gazed toward the imp ambitiously, pulling her blowgun from behind her, a grin plastered on her face, which only grew as Myremon warned them of the ambush. "Hehe! Our lucky day!" She mused as she began to pull darts from her pouch, holding several between her fingers.

Lily wasted no time in turning the imps into pincushions for her darts. Strong blows of air from her lungs propelled each one toward an imp, and upon striking the small demon-kin, forced them into a deep slumber near instantly. Her accuracy and reloading time were impressive, it was clear this was far from the first time using the weapon. Her smile only seemed to grow as each one fell down, her eyes rapidly darting around, gazing at the others in amazement as they fought with their magical abilities.

That was, until, she noticed Shi's sudden change. "Woh..." Lily paused for a moment, watching the beast charge down the imps. "H-Hey! Watch it you two! You're damaging the goods!" Lily yelled over toward the now beastly Shi, and Myremon, with a kind of upbeat annoyance at their destructive methods. Lily's eyes darted back around their targets, she needed to find the lord before those lot mashed it up! Still, the imps were thick in number, and the half-human only had so many tranquilliser coated darts. The foxling ran behind Nazzek, his blades doing a good job of clearing a path, if not being a tad too rambunctious. Blood splattered on her face as she got close, soaking her coat in it, her eyes continuing to peer around the oversized beastkin, her darts flying into the distance at the imps still approaching from afar.

Ash continued her slaughter of the imps, laughing all the while. "Nyahahahahahahahahahahahaha!" Her purple eyes glowed with pride. Blood got all over her clothes and gauntlets, Crushed imps were everywhere. "Nyahahahahahaha-" Her laugh was cut off when she got hit by something strong and got sent flying, her eye color slowly going back to normal. She landed near the bridge and she struggled to stand up. "Ash!" Veronica turned around but quickly turned back to try and defend herself from the onslaught of imps but it was enough time for the imps to break through her defense. One of them stabbed her leg, the other slashing at her face. She screamed in pain as her snakes attached quickly to Shi and launched her over to her. "Fuck fuck fuck fuck shit shit shit!!!" The imps had slashed her cheek, which was bleeding. While she was busy holding her leg in pain and yelling curse words over and over, her snakes grabbed her sword and used it as a shield against the rocks being thrown at her.

Shi

Shi continued to attack the demons, ripping into their small bodies. She glanced behind her at Myremon. She let out a smaller sound to let him know she heard him. She turned back and slammed a hand-turned-claw down onto an imp, crushing it with ease. She hissed as one sliced into her hind leg. She felt the silvery blood dripping down her leg. She turned around and snarled before closing her fangs around its head, crushing it and tossing it aside to attack more. She felt something else at her leg, but it was quickly gone. She tasted blood, but also pain. The pain wasn't the imps, though, it was different. She turned around and found veronica on the ground clutching her leg.
On instinct she turned around and shielded Veronica from the demons' attacks, her wings wrapping around the girl. She leaned her head down and pressed it against Veronica's head. She closed her eyes and began healing her. It went much easier because of Myremon's help. She opened her eyes and looked at Veronica, making sure she was okay. She felt imps on her back, beating at the crystals embedded in her skin. She roared in pain and turned around, trying to get them off her.

Myremon kept blasting the Imps from atop Shi, until he saw Veronica grappling her way towards the dragon golem. "Veronica! Hold on tight!" Shi roared in pain, promtping Myremon to search for the source of the affliction. Several imps started to climpb on Shi, wounding her back. Myremon grunted, letting go from the crystals on Shi and charging the attackers. "YOU DO NOT" He slashed at one with his hand, drawing four gashes at one imp, who fell over. "ATTACK!" he swung his staff at other two, knocking them off as well, "MY FRIENDS!" Energy started to bubble over, blasting outwards and knocking the rest of the Imps away from Shi. As soon as he finished, he wobbled over, spent. He grabbed on a crystal before falling, holding himself in place. "I'm down, cover me while I recover..."

Nazzek Minara​

Nazzek was too far away to aid Veronica and Shi, or hear them, for that matter. He effortlessly hacked through the large group of Imps, until they started retreating. "DAT'S RIGHT YER SCALLYWAGGERS! UN OFF TO THE HELL THAT SPAWNED YE!" He raised his right arms, symbolizing victory. A blast of arcane energy hit him square in the chest, throwing him at least two meters away. He fell over, clutching his chest, trouble breathing for a second. When he looked at what casted that spell, a large imp, double the size of a normal one, stared down at him.

The large imp had ragged clothes, but still better than the scraps of clothing that the Imps wore. The imp had a pair of wings on his back, the same dark crimson color of his skin. His eyes were glowing purple and red, denouncing his arcane inclinations. He laughed, a screeching sound that barely resembled anything other than a voice. "Master will like these trophies, yes she will. Zazu will take you to Master Aiala, heheheh... You're strong fighters, and will be stronger when Aiala bestows her gi-" A blue fist came in contact with the Imp's face, who reeled back and kneeled on the ground. "Yer brave for babbling shit on the battlefield, demon. Or stupid." Another blast of arcane energy came from the Imp's hands as he screeched in pain, and Nazzek retreated, dodging the spell. "FOXKIN! YE HAVE ANYTHING ON THIS SATCHEL TO HELP ME?" Nazzek screamed, putting himself between the Imp Lord and Lily.

Ash was too injured from the big hit she just received and from all the scratches and bruises she sustained while fighting the smaller imps. She couldn't stand up. The most she could do now was defend herself from the attacks of the goblins.
After being healed by Shi, Veronica stood up slowly. "Thanks Shi!" She turned around and saw Ash. "shit..Hold on Ash!" Her snakes went over and grabbed her, bringing her over to them. "Shi, Heal Ash please!" She looked over to see the giant imp. "Eugh, the bigger they are, the uglier they look." She helped Myremon fight off the imps that were attacking Shi. She'd probably be unable to do any damage to the big imp with her current sword.

Shi

Shi looked back at Myremon on her back and gave him a single nod before turning back to the imps. She fought off only a few more before Veronica came over with Ash. She could taste the pain off of her and went to help her. She shielded her with her wings and pressed her head against Ash's. She worked quickly to heal her wounds. Once she was healed Shi pulled back and nudged her back to her feet. She turned around and hissed at the imps, baring her fangs in anger. She pushed up off the ground with her hind legs and started flying. It got the imps to stop attacking her so she could look at everything. She swooped down and snatched an imp in her mouth, pinning it down with her hind legs and ripping it apart. Her tail thrashed and knocked down several demons. She let out a roar and snatched another to rip into. Where did they end?

Nier - 5th Day​

Lily jolted her body to the side as Nazzek was propelled backward by a magnificent blast of magical energy. The half-human stared intently at the creature before them, her grin growing beyond what would seem like normal constraints as her eyes darted around its body. That was until the larger beastkin's fist shut it up. "Hahahaha!" Lily couldn't help but break into a fit of laughter at the scene, tears beading at the corners of her eyes.

The foxkin prepared more darts, she only had a couple left now, it wasn't clear if it would be enough for the more powerful imp. "See if you can get some of this down its gob Nazzey!" Lily unclipped a pale yellow vial from her belt, throwing it toward him in an arc. There was no doubt in her mind that such a dosage would be more than enough to put it out for hours. Of course, she had potions too, if Nazzek were to get too injured, but they were hardly as amusing as her next proposal. "Of course, if you want to try something a bit more... Experimental!" Lily grinned, holding up a dark green vial to indicate the tonic to Nazzek, before placing it back on her belt. "I'll slow it down!" She suddenly yelped out eagerly, running sideways around the creature, releasing a strong puff of air as her blowgun projected the tranquiliser tipped dart toward the oversized imp.

"Thank you." Ash glared at the imps. She won't let them do that again. She summoned her gauntlets once more and crushed two of the imps against each other, her eyes almost instantly became a deep purple once more as the thrill of being able to fight back returned.

She turned to the giant imp who just appeared. "Move over fish man!" She said, jumping really high in the air and lunged at the imp. "I don't care who ya are, but you're nothing compared to me! Nyahahahaha!" She said, flying down towards the giant imp. "Ash no!" Veronica knew that Ash was strong but she saw what that big imp did to her. In one single blow, he sent her flying. She tried to grab Ash with her snakes but she was moving to fast down towards the imp.

Myremon Seonag & Nazzek Minara​

"Guh..." Myremon said, trying to recover of the lack of mana. He committed too much mana to Shi, and weakened himself in the process. He climbed again to Shi's back, panting. "Shi... give me some mana back..." He said between breaths, until he saw Ash leaping back to battle. "Ash! Gwah... GRASP OF HADAR!" He said, the same chains he used on her when they met, right before the bludgeon of the Imp Lord reached her face. He missed by an inch, being blocked by Nazzek's swords. "YER FIGHT WITH ME, LAD!" The merfolk screamed, slashing at the Imp's hand. Nazzek grabbed the vial with a free hand, looking at its contents, a smile creeping up to his face. "BOTTOMS UP, FUCKFACE!" He said, tackling him to the ground. holding both of his hands wit his upper hands, he dropped a sword, shoving the contents of the vial to the Imp's mouth. A blast of energy knocked him back again, but in time to let Nazzek grab his sword. "Whazzat that the ugly drank?" Nazzek said to Lily, right before returning to the fight.

Myremon pulled Ash to him, locking her in place. "Don't... let your emotions run wild, Ash... Snap out of it!" He said, his consciousness almost fading.

"Grgh!" Ash was pulled towards Myremon and locked into place by the chains. "Hey! Lemme go! I can take him!" She struggled to break out of the chains. Myremon didn't have enough mana to keep the chains on her for long. She broke through and was going to charge back in but looked back as Myremon was struggling to stay conscious. Her eyes slowly turned back to normal, her expression changing from an annoyed to a more worried one "...H-Hold on!" She went back to him and held him. "Hold on, I don't know how to do this exactly..." She placed her hands on his chest and her hands began to glow. "I think this is how it's done???" An incredible force sent Myremon flying but had also restored most of his mana.

Shi

Shi heard Myremon and he didn't sound well. She felt another body come down to her back and then heard Ash talking with Myremon. She ripped into another imp after it hit at her wounded leg. She roared and staggered sideways, being careful not to knock Ash off her back. She gripped onto the ground tightly to stop her from falling. There weren't many left. She shook her head and went forward, ripping into another imp with ease.
After that one she collapsed onto her side, her injured leg curling up. She had lost a fair amount of blood from the wound since it was re-opened. SHe closed her eyes, forgetting for a moment that Ash had been on her back. She rolled over to make sure that she didn't squish the poor girl.

Nier - 5th Day​

The second dart let loose, connecting with the side of the beast, it definitely seemed to be having some effect. As Nazzek got the creature down and poured the vial into its gob, Lily clapped with excitement, her eyes gazing as he was thrown back. "Sleep juice!" She bursted out with glee, placing her blowgun on her back, the weapon useless without any tipped darts remaining in her satchel.

Moving a hand to her side, Lily drew her falchion from its sheath, grinning as she watched the imp lord's eyes blinking slower and slower. "Let's make this surgical!" Lily excitedly mused, skipping toward the creature happily, waiting for it to grow weary enough that she could safely strike it down.

Myremon Seonag​

Myremon felt the power returning to him as he flew away, stablizing himself mid air. "Almost." he whispered, before screaming to Ash. "We seriously need to train your self-control, Ash!" From his vantage point, he surveyed the battlefield.

Imp bodies littered the battlefield, the ones that weren't wounded were fleeing towards the village. Nazzek and Lily were near the Imp Lord, who was struggling to stay awake. Veronica, Ash and Shi were a little behind, Shi gravely wounded. Myremon saw Lily skipping over the Imp Lord, and shouted. "Lily! Nazzek! We need information! Don't kill him yet!" He said, rushing to Shi's aid. He landed near the dragon-golem's leg, examining the wound. "Hold on, SHi, this might hurt." He slowly raised the leg to close the wound, and touched it, channeling a healing spell. He didn't know about the material that Shi was made, so he accelerated the metabolism of regeneration on her leg, closing it slowly.

Nazzek Minara​

As soon as the Lord started to slow, barely keeping awake, Nazzek raised a sword, ready to kill him, until he heard Myremon's plea. He turned to Lily, taking a length of rope from his backpack. "D'ya know how long it takes before the thing he drank stops workin'? Let's tie him up, jus' for precaution." He turned the Imp over, tying both of his hands together, facing down. "Les' see if he gonna cast anymore magic, heh." He sheated his swords.

 

[RizaTiz]

"Woah!" She held onto one of the crystals on Shi's back as she fell onto one side and jumped off. "I can't help it, it just...." She looks at her hands, which were covered in blood just like the majority of her jacket. "feels so good to be better than them....stronger than them! I..." She blinked a couple of times and her eyes, that had gone somewhat purple, returned to normal. Veronica walked over to Shi as Myremon began healing her. "We're alright now. Thanks for the help Shi." She smiled at her. "Well now...." She walked over to where Lily and Nazzek were. "I wonder who's this Aiala person this fucker was talking about." Her snakes were still active, ready to trap the imp lord in case he somehow managed to break free.

Shi

Shi looked down at Myremon when he was talking. He was going to heal her leg. She closed her eyes, waiting for the pain he had mentioned. She felt it then. She felt her skin slowly closing. Faster than it would have normally, but still slowly. She hissed and tried to kick Myremon to get him off her limb. In her attempts to escape her body slowly began shifting back. Wings shrunk down into her arms and her head became more human-like. She hissed and bared her fangs at him.
"No!"
She yelled, but this time the words came from her mouth, not telepathically. It sounded weird and still inhuman, but it was clearly a plea for Myremon to stop healing her leg. His healing hurt. She didn't know if it was because of how slow it was or because she was something different, but it hurt.
