Celestial Adventurer
Rules:
1. Obviously No OP characters. Keep 'em reasonable.
2. Keep your characters in the age range of 17-25.
Demon Lord ain't want no 99 year old man on death's door as a sacrifice.
3. You're character may or may not know some alchemy or magic but if they do know either of those, let their knowledge be limited.
We're all beginners (besides Gabe Gabe as he is the known wizard). We don't want Mr. Expert Wizard casting Fire Nova in the middle of battle while everybody else is just poking at the enemy with sticks.
4. Since sacrifices heroes are only sent once every year, it would be unadvisable to kill your character off.
You can. I just wouldn't recommend it. You can also let them become corrupt later on if you want if the scenario they are in allows it.
5. Type "Corruption Awaits" at the bottom of your CS just to make sure you read "Da rules"
or u know. Make it a poem or some shit idk. Make a video if you want, just make sure it's there.
6. Have fun. This story is going to have it's serious moments but it's not all the time.[/FONT]

Backstory
Veronica's family had always lived in the slums. They were a poor and weak family who hardly could afford for a meal a day.
Veronica always went out to the street to beg for food and money but everybody would ignore her almost everytime.
One day when she went out to ask for money and food, a wizard approached her and told her that he could help with a spell.
She was desperate so she accepted his help. He cast a spell and it seemed like nothing happened but the wizard promised that something would happen.
She continued asking for money to no avail and returned home. When she did, she was greeted by her parents as normal but Veronica had felt a sudden pain in her head. Right before her eyes, she saw as 2 pieces of her hair became snakes and they attacked Veronica's father. They severely injured her father and attempted to attack her mother but they soon disappeared before they could. Both of her parent's called her a freak and banished her from their home.

For the next month, she spent her days living on the streets, surviving off of stealing food from markets.
One day, she came across a girl named Celestia. Celestia offered to help Veronica and they soon became good friends.
Celestia's parents let Veronica live in their home and she soon became like a daughter to them.
With their expert alchemy abilities and mage friends, they were able to find out that Veronica had been cursed and helped her control the curse.
Soon Veronica was able to control the snakes at will and make them attack her enemies and make them turn back into her normal hair.

Soon came the day that Celestia's parents were arrested and sent to Yrin.
After their departure, Celestia became a sort of guardian for Veronica, helping her out and teaching her many things.

One day, the leaders of Darkene announced that they would start sending a group of 4 heroes to Yrin in hopes that they could purify the world and bring back peace. Veronica would never imagine that Celestia would become one of those heroes.

3 years passed and Celestia had volunteered herself to become one of the heroes.
Veronica obviously protested but Celestia promised her that she'd come back but first she needed to save her parents.

After Celestia's departure, Veronica soon started practicing swordsmanship (and alchemy in her free time) to follow in Celestia's footsteps.
She had decided that she would train as best she could so that next year she could enter Yrin and reunite with Celestia.

Time passed and now it came time for the 4 new heroes to enter Yrin. She volunteered to become one of them and began preparing along with the other heroes to enter Yrin. The week passed by and now she was ready to enter Yrin.

She is able to transform her hair into snakes, but usually only uses two
These snakes can extend up to 10 feet long and have quite a powerful grip.
She also uses a silver sword pictured below:

She has motion sickness. She can handle carriages that go at a slow or medium pace but she can't handle going very fast.
She's a pretty good cook.

Personality
Eris is highly sympathetic and always willing to help others. Her soft-spoken manner does not impede upon her determination, and in the face of danger she will persist until she sees her goals through. She is naturally amiable and tends to get along well with others, and even if they seek to put her down she can usually find the good in them and forgive them. Eris is curious about the world around her and always seeks to discover more. Her love for this world and for the diversity of the land is part of what inspired her to cleanse it of the irredeemable evil it is currently plagued by.

Backstory
Born to a wealthy family in Darkene, Eris carried the weight of many responsibilities since she was young. She was mostly kept indoors and barred from the outside world, and no matter how much she begged to explore the world around her, her parents strictly forbade it. Other than this major disappointment, Eris spent her days in relative peace, quietly resolved to complete the daily errands that were assigned to her by her family. She was given a bit more freedom as she grew older and was permitted to traverse the immediate surroundings of her household, and one day she met a man who happened to be an aspiring alchemist and who lived nearby. The pair fell deeply in love, and Eris found the moments they spent together outside of fulfilling her endless responsibilities enchantingly beautiful. Sharing a deep curiosity for the unknown, they promised to one day travel to Yrin and experience the vibrant new world together.

But as fate had it, their promise would never be fulfilled. Eris was heartbroken when she heard of the demons' plight in Yrin, but a worse fate was awaiting her lover; he was suddenly abducted due to his occupation as an alchemist, and he was forcefully separated from Eris when he was exiled into the ruined depths of Yrin. Since then, Eris has been honing her combative skills to volunteer as a Hero. She is now driven both by her sympathy for the people of Yrin and her futile hope that she might find her lover once more, and she remains faithful that her promise might one day be fulfilled. Eris has done well to prepare for the journey ahead, for...

- Her nimbleness gives her swift speed and makes her perfect for stealth-related objectives.
- Has a fragile body that is easy to knock down, but she usually picks herself back up.
- She is vulnerable to verbal assaults, and if taunted she is reluctant to retaliate.

- A pouch filled with Darkenian currency; never know when you might need money.

Backstory
When she was very young she learned to work with herbs and plants to heal and aid anyone who needed it. She never bothered with fixing her near constant tiredness, partially because others came first, but also because it didn't affect her as much as most people would believe.

Appearance
Shi is 5'7" with pinkish grey skin and bright blue eyes. She is very skinny with three long and sleek tails. Her mouth is very wide and houses bright blue fangs. On top of her head are two tall horns and white hair. She has blue gems embedded into her skin in various places. When a different "power" of hers is in use a gem lights up. The gem at the center of her chest is her "heart" and constantly pulses like a heartbeat. If it fades to black then her life is fading from her. She is cold to the touch because she is coldblooded like a serpent. She has no functioning vocal cords to speak aside from making hissing, purring, and chirping type noises.

Personality
Shi is very curious and inexperienced in nearly everything. There is a lot she doesn't know about but new things intrigue her. She is very accepting of new people and easily relaxes around them.

Backstory
Shi was created by her Master. She can't remember what her Master looked like, but she knows they created her. Her earliest memories are from wandering around Yrin, looking for people, comfort, help. She couldn't really remember which. She wanders across Yrin looking for something she can't remember. She's sure she'll remember it once she sees it. At some point she found that she could heal people and creatures. It was hard because of her appearance. People yelled at her when she offered help because they thought her a monster.
Later on she found another of her "powers". The ability to communicate telepathically. She was so excited because she could finally communicate that she meant to help and not harm. She was accepted and healed the people of a village for a few weeks. She soon moved on to continue wandering for her forgotten thing.
Over that time she found a new power: Mental Manipulation. She dislikes this power because of the harm she had caused with it. She promised herself she wouldn't use it without proper reasoning.

Strengths
Her known "powers":
1. Heal
She can heal any human or creature simply by touching them with her eyes closed. This allows her consciousness to explore the wound and repair what is damaged or even lost (missing limb, etc.), but she is not as skilled in this part. The whole process lasts only a few moments. For larger injuries, multiple sessions may be needed.
2. Telepath
She has the ability to enter another beings' mind and transmit a voice of her own to convey her thoughts or opinions. The voice is soft and gentle, cultivated to ease the person and allow her trust to be gained easier. She uses this quite frequently as it is her form of communication.
3. Mentality
This allows her to enter a beings' mind and influence their emotions or feelings about something for any reason. The downside to this ability is that she stands completely still and unresponsive while messing with their emotions. This, however, does not occur when Telepath is used.

Personality
Rowdy and brash, but knows when to get serious when the time needs. Nazzek has a high fraternal instinct, bondingquickly with the people around him, treating them like family. Smart in some things, not so smart on others.

Backstory
Son of a son of a pirate, Nazzek's life was on the seas, ever since he spawned. The life of a merfolk is hard on land, even before the demons, so it was hard for Nazzek to adapt when his crew and lots of others succumbed to the Demon Army.

He was the first mate of the Weeping Empress, one of the most known pirate ships of the Yrin sea. His father, Captain Mianra, was one of the fairest, but ruthless captains of all time, and well known across all ports of the world, even if by name. Nazzek always thinks that it was because of Minara's fame that he was the first to be brought down by the Demon King and its magic ships. The attack was swift and extreme, the ship was brought to a surrender state in mere minutes, with the Demons using both corrupt magic and underhanded tactics. Minara sacrificed himself to save the crew through a deal with the attacker, but the demon who attacked them didn't honor his part. What followed through was a massacre, to which Nazzek only survived by swimming away covered by his father's body. Nazzek reached dry land, and after burying his father and getting the former captain's prized swords, he went for dry land for his first time, to get stronger and find his father's executor.

Aside from his natural claws on his upper arms, his lower arms usually hold Ebb & Tide, the twin scimitars once wielded by Captain Minara. The enchanted blades are both incredibly light, seemingly with their own mind, parrying and striking on their own, it also has the unique ability of rusting metals it comes in contact, using the magical brine of the Yrin sea.

Nazzek also knows minor water magic, using to empower his melee attacks.


Weaknesses & Strengths
-Nazzek, like all pirates, has a penchant for drinking, and every time he's in a town, his first stop is the local tavern. His hangover often leaves him weakened for the full day.
-Nazzek is fluent in Beastfolk(Merfolk)
-Nazzek is resilient, his scaled skin providing improved defenses against physical attacks.

Equipment
Aside from Ebb & Tide, he has an assortment of throwing daggers, kives and tucked blades, ready for surprise attacks.

Miscellaneous
Aside from normal adventuring equipment, Nazzek has a piece of the Weeping Empress's flag, which he wears as a bandanna all the time.
