The World of Andos

The end of September, year 2020, the new video game, the World of Andos, had just been released world wide an was a new sensation. Being a fully in depth virtual reality game where all of the bodies natural senses were engaged was a big thing on its own, but being able to dive into this adventure and experience it as if you were the hero of the story seemed to appeal to a lot of people as well. The game had been released a few short days ago and already it had sold thousands upon thousands of copies to gamers who wanted to experience the world for them selves. While some people got a head start on others people were quickly leveling up in the world.

Currently the game has a block on which areas the player characters can visit, that being the starting area of Egrin. This was due to the fact that because it is such an immense game the servers had to be updated to hold all the information, and because they needed information on bugs and issues during the first few weeks of play so that they could fix these Issues before opening the full game. These delays expected to take about 2 weeks before the full game was opened.

Players joining the game new spawn in the city of Springhollow, a huge city and the Capital of Egrin, and while many non player characters exist in the city the city is filled to the brim with player characters, going about their business and trying to level up and gain new skills while waiting for the rest of the game to be opened up.

Egrin: Springhollow

The sun is high in the sky, about mid day game time, heat beaming down on the town of Springhollow. The town itself is massive, having a huge Guild Building in the center of the city while buildings, both tall and short surround it. The council building sits on its own plateau on the northern boarders of the city where most of the upper class people in the city tend to live. The Marketplace and craftsman areas of the city seem fairly lively as the majority of players have begun to log on after their days of hard work and social interactions in the real world. The players interact with the non player characters, buying items, taking up some simple quests like killing a pack of wolves and bringing back the pelts, or hunting down some goblins, which grants them experience so that they can level up. Players also roam the outskirts of the city and train them selves by killing monsters, and experiencing the world around them.

Avory Lyncord / Ire

Ire gave a stretch, reminding them of how useful it was to be in virtual reality. The back pains and muscle cramps of playing for hours were non existent, well that was until you logged out. Being prone for 12+ a day (counting sleeping) would surely add some sort of joint pain. But in here, that mattered little. Finishing a small side quest was quite satisfying now, never being a fan of grinding for gold and levels, the aspect of actually doing the quest physically yourself was on a whole new level. Currently Ire was in the middle of finishing a small kill and grab quest, a farmer had been over run with monstrous gophers and wanted their heads (not literally). After conversing with the grateful farming npc Ire couldnt help but look around. Usually the city gates would be empty, but this one was spotted with groups of other players and people alike, doing daily quests and business. The cluttered hustle of the world gave it a fairly warm feeling, though they knew that wouldnt last. Heading off, Ire was planning on doing some shopping. Unlike others though, they wouldnt be looking for gear. Avory was a bit of a pay to appearance and would most likely be looking for cosmetics. So in reality, this was just clothes shopping in a more virtual setting. The thought of fantasy style clothing shopping left a small skip in their step.

Walking the streets was usually a busy task, weaving through the many players trying to bargain with merchants and each other. The stalls and shops scattered against the edges of the city streets all held some sort of material or gear. Staffs, swords and shields alike, some holding rings and necklaces. Ire knew that cosmetic shopping wasnt cheap, so this store trip would be more of a 'aim to be' sort of trip instead of actually buying.

Matthias gave a yawn as he finally sat back in his seat. He was sitting at his desk, working on some of the parts in his computer. Screwdrivers and screws littered his workspace as he looked over his handiwork. A new CPU and an improved graphics card he got from his dad would help in running the VRMMO he nabbed recently. He had enjoyed it so far, opening up a small shop on the Outskirts of the game’s only major city. He sat forward again and began the meticulous process of reassembling all of the panels and screws that went into his tower. After another five or ten minutes, he plugged everything in and settled on his headset, diving into the world.

Zenix opened his eyes with a yawn. He was standing in the work area in the back of his shop, Ars Incantatio. He’d been waiting on a some customers the last time he was on and had decided to add to his stock. In his hands was a small iron dagger, a basic item that most players started with. He set it down on his desk, his nine blackened tails swishing lightly behind him, as he reached for his chisel. He began the process of inscribing the rune for “Burn”, a flame enchantment, humming away lightly to himself. The enchanted metal of the chisel dug into the iron, shearing bit and not until the symbol was embalmed on to the dagger. Now, Zenix wasn’t the most careful of Arcanists, but he certainly learned from past mistakes. He reached his hand out to the side and called for aid, “Nymph!”. In the open space to his left, a spout of water erupted from seemingly no where, leaving behind a young looking river spirit in its place. The elemental, named Nymph, bowed, “Yes, Awakener? How may I assist you?” Zenix held up the engraved dagger, “The burn rune again. Be ready in case anything catches, won’t you?” The spirit bowed as the kitsune nodded, turning back to the dagger as he began to speak in the arcane language, a feature that was a part of the Arcanist profession. His words rolled across the dagger, resonating with the carved symbol. The marking began to glow with a red light as the dagger’s blade burst into red hot flames. With Nymph controlling the fire’s spread, Zenix carefully guided the flames into the carved rune, completing the enchantment with a smile, “Nicely done, Nymph. No burns this time.” He picked up the enchanted weapon and headed toward the front of the shop to display it with the others.

"Finally!"

Kevin dashed into his tiny one bedroom apartment, throwing his duffel bag onto the bed. He hurriedly scoured through the messy room until he found the box containing a ticket to the world of his dreams. It took a whole month of pretend fighting other guys in bingo halls, but finally, he had earned enough for the revolutionary VR experience. He had spent last night setting everything up so he could jump straight into the world when he got home. Kevin got everything working and put on the VR headset.

Kevin's vision went blurry for a moment and lights took up the screen as it sent him into the world. He shut his eyes, shaking with excitement. Upon opening them he was graced with bustling city full of player characters going about their typical MMO ventures. Kevin looked at his hands, he was now someone else, he was now Leo.

Leo did his best to contain his excitement for a moment, as he absentmindedly looked around taking in the world, probably looking like an idiot. Everything felt so real, it was amazing. Leo looked began taking his first steps into the marketplace, looking for equipment to start him on his path.

Kai
(Akira Miller)

“Hmm…”

Kai hummed to himself, slightly narrowing his eyes as he focused on a pair of daggers on display at the storefront of a weapon shop. Following his where his eyes are trained at, he is currently looking over a pair of small daggers currently on display at a storefront, where a bunch of other types and forms of blades are on display. His eyes went over the weapon, thoroughly examining every detail. As of the moment, he was currently at the designated market district at the city of Springhollow, where all new adventurers initially spawn. Evidently, Kai is one of them.

Just recently, just a few hours ago in fact, Kai logged into The World of Andos for the very first time. He was almost immediately put into character creation, which had a huge amount of options and went into a surprising amount of detail. Due to this, this was where he spent the most amount of game time so far. After giving himself a name, he was then put through a quick tutorial, detailing the many unique mechanics of The World of Andos. Due to it being an extremely realistic full VR experience, there is bound to be controls that is supposed to be as simple as “opening the main menu” be executed a little differently. Needless to say, this took another chunk of his time spent before actually beginning the game. After this, he is immediately transferred into the game world, just outside of the huge main gates of the city. He was given a small amount of money to start with, and pretty much everything was up to him at this point.

Satisfied examining the weapons, Kai nodded to himself and moved away from the storefront. He wasn’t actually going to buy anything as of right now, as he already had his basic starter gear for his chosen character class. At the same time though, he figured that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to at least look around what kind of weapons and prices would be in store for him in the future as a reference.

For now though, his first order of business would be to find and buy a map. He was currently in the market district, but Kai only managed to get here through guessing and wandering around. He wanted to see if there was some sort of adventurer’s guild or something similar that you see in a lot of other RPGs for taking quests, and a map for the huge capital city would be a good start.

Maria/Arachne
The system was Judy’s, the game belonged to Matt. Manuela Maria Rosa Guadalupe-Valdez had an entire support network that was set on seeking truth and justice, and a little bit of revenge of course. Soon as Maria found out about Miguel’s infidelity, she kicked his cheating ass to the curb and went straight to Judy for a shoulder. Her closest friends rallied around her and that was that. Or, so she thought. A week later, Miguel professed his undying love and eternal regret, and assured Maria he would never hurt her again. He realized his wrong-doing and was a changed man. The week apart made him realize what he had with her and he never wanted to lose her again.

Against Judy and Matt’s wishes, Maria took him back. Of course she took him back, he was Miguel Angel Caballero, hottest, most badass son of a bitch to ever grace Los Angeles. A real man, the kind who spent hours in the gym perfecting his curl, who dressed in the most expensive suits, who kept his hair long and slicked back, who regaled with the sexiest Spanish accent that was both soothing and exhilarating. He was every woman’s dream, chiseled from marble—a perfect specimen.

It was maybe a month after that when Maria confronted Miguel about a rumor regarding him and some cute little thang named Jessica. Jessica—she practically spat the name in Miguel’s face. He assured her they were just rumors. She was right to be suspicious, given their history, but he loved her and she was crazy to think otherwise. Of course, he had not actually called her crazy, Miguel knew better than to dare tell a Latina woman to her face that she was acting crazy. Still, the implication was there, and Maria ran with it.

Through digging on par with the FBI (or maybe more the CIA), Judy discovered the girl Jessica was an avid gamer of the virtual reality sort. Her social media profiles were decorated with post after post regarding some game that had recently come out. It just so happened that Matt owned the game, and Judy’s father had just purchased the latest console that could handle it. So, here she was, settled into the comfiest part of her couch, surrounded by pillows in case she got over excited and forgot the world was virtual and tried to react.

Maria fiddled with the contraption for about an hour before she finally put it on. She had never been into video games, other than the occasional multiplayer brawl-type match with a gathering of friends. But, she was never the one to suggest it and only participated because her friends were. This whole idea of a virtual reality was really quite the leap for someone who had picked up a controller maybe six or so times in her life. Matt had given her a run-down of the controls, and they had seemed simple enough, but getting a hang of them was going to be a different story.

The transition was weird, something she was definitely going to have to get used to, at least until she found this bitch Jessica, BabyGurlJ217 in the game. She blinked against the blurring vision, which was not really a blurring of her vision, just the screen in front of her. Or, she thought it was a screen. She really did not know quite how this all worked. A menu came up, and she practiced clicking through it, checking out the user-guide for any additional controls she might need to know that Matt may have forgotten, read through some of the disclaimer to be certain that the company was not responsible for any harm that should come to her or her home should she attempt to move around while playing. She took a breath, and logged in.

The process of creating her own account and character was relatively fast, and within the next hour she was being teleported into the game. Or, that’s how it felt. Her character did not so much reflect her as her motives. She was going into this game for one reason only, to find the bitch who took her man and exact her revenge. The Assassin seemed like the sort of person who could do it. Arachne just seemed like a badass name.

Arachne appeared at the center of Springhollow, blinking against the sun as her eyesight adjusted. She looked down, seeing that her whole body was safely transported. Next she looked at her hands, raising them up to her face and wiggling her fingers. It was all so real. Arachne turned dark eyes on the town around her, which was bustling with trade and talk. So many people, some marked as NPC with a generic name attached. Maria remembered Matt saying those were the in-game characters. The ones marked with usernames were other people. She took a step, and moved. This was great. She took another, and a wide smile spread across her lips. Arachne then dug her toes into the dirt and took off at a sprint, moving faster than she ever could in real life. She vaulted over a fence, scaled a wall, ran across some roofs, and dropped fifteen feet to the ground, landing effortlessly. Her heart raced, but she was not out of breath. She probably looked like a crazy person, but Arachne did not care. She drew a dagger from her belt, aimed, and missed. It stuck into the ground. So, she was not an expert assassin yet. She would still need to practice.

Arachne retrieved her dagger, wiping it off on her shorts before tucking it away. She turned her eyes back on the town, before heading for what looked like a sort of pub. People were gathered inside and she thought it as good a place as any to start her quest.

Charlotte sighed tiredly, as she opened the door to her bedroom. She had just returned from a stressful business party, with her 'friends' constantly prying into her life to find any potential controversy. She was sick of it, but there wasn't much she could do. Her eyes glazed over the locked drawer in her wardrobe. Perhaps it was time for some stress-relief, she smiled, her spirit somewhat revitalized. She locked the door and carefully retrieved her gaming equipment from the secured drawer, before delving into her new favourite past time, the World of Andos.

The whole process always seemed surreal to her, as Velettra clenched and relaxed her fists in wonder. She was now someone else, an inhuman creature with great power promised to her. Recalling what had occurred last time she was in-game, she remembered levelling up to level 2 after completing a fun little hunting quest. It really was enjoyable, she remembered fondly. At first it seemed a bit daunting; hunting a dozen speedy rabbits for the butcher on the outskirts of the city, but it was useful aiming practice. I wonder what kind of quest I'll get to go on next? Velettra thought excitedly to herself, taking a little stroll through the market district where it was as busy as ever.

Her trusty staff clinked against the ground as she walked, eyeing the various wares that were ever-changing as they were quickly bought. Although, she did have a substantial amount of gold after the few quests she had completed to level up. Perhaps she should buy something for once? Her feet stopped in front of a beautifully decorated stall, lined with all sorts of exotic staves and wands. Of course, most were way out of her price range, but there were a few simpler ones with higher stats that she could get. Velettra didn't want to be too hasty though, as she quickly took a look at her in game stats.

She was pleased at the class she had chosen. It was perfect for her stress-relief, with its high risk, high reward setup. She could've been a more aggressive Red Wizard, but the idea of self-sustain as a Black Wizard appealed to her more in the end. Swiping the stat screen away with a simple flick, she carried on walking through the districts. Maybe she'd find something interesting happening, if not, she could just go quest-hunting. The endless amount of choices and freedom she had soothed her mind, before she'd have to inevitably return to her tiresome real life as heiress.

Assassin:

Ars Incantatio. Assassin gazed at the sign fixed above the shop for a moment, before walking towards the door. From with the folds of his cloak, a thin grey limb emerged, spindly fingers pushing open the door with a near silent creak of hinges. The hand retracted into the cloak as soon as the door swung ajar.

Seemingly gliding across the floor of the shop, the white skull mask permanently wired into the Undead's skull swept across the shelves that lined the walls, more specifically at the equipment held by them. They were basic, but this was all he could afford at the moment. His efforts at killing various monsters and assassinating small groups of bandits and thugs had amassed him a decent haul, but not nearly enough to purchase the more expensive armaments. For now, he would have to make do with the less affluent gear.

The masked killer paused at the counter at the rear of the shop. As there was no one present, he withdrew a hand before lightly tapping the bell, to inform the shop owner that a customer was ready and waiting.

"And now, for the final act" Damien says, as he presses the power button on his recently modified PC. He had installed a new motherboard into it after the last one couldn't properly handle the strain of the new VR game he's been obsessed over. Thankfully though, none of the other parts suffered any heat damage. He was equal parts excited and relieved when he began to hear the fans whir to life and the word 'ASRock' appeared on his monitor. After setting up the motherboard software, everything on his desktop appeared as if nothing had happened, which he was also relieved about given it meant no memory or OS corruption took place. Immediately he began starting up World of Andos, confident that the computer could now handle the strain the game caused. It had been far too long since he played and not doing it made him genuinely uncomfortable, like an itch just out of reach of scratching that became more and more of a nuisance as time went on.

Damien laid on his bed and tried to get as comfortable as possible, letting the headset sit on his chest for the time being. Once that was done, he took the headset and slowly slid it on. After taking a deep breath, he pressed the activation button on the side of the visor, the words "Örugg leið('Safe Passage')" escape his lips before his vision tunneled and sensation in his body was lost. For a few moments, he felt very much the same as one would floating in a sensory deprivation tank: no outside stimulus, just him and his mind.

At least, this was the case until he felt his almost ethereal body being pulled towards a light that was rapidly increasing in size, eventually encapsulating his surroundings and showing the words in front of him: "Welcome to World of Andos" with a small print underneath saying "Ver. 1.002.01." Very shortly after he was greeted with the character select screen. So far he had only made one character for this fantastical world, but one he grew to admire in some ways. Her name was Kaeþunn, a level 3 tiefling cleric. She was primarily based on an NPC companion he created for one of the DnD campaigns he was a part of, with a bit of a twist.

He selected Kaeþunn, and upon doing so felt his body being pulled towards her, and eventually inside of her until he was seeing out of her eyes. While the game was loading him into the world, he began testing his movements with her, making sure there wasn't any sort of bug that prevented him from playing properly. Finding no ailments to his movement, he, or rather she now, began taking several slow, deep breaths and began to shift her mindset into character. The responsibilities and worries, the meekness and low self confidence, were all fading to the far corners of her mind. Now in the forefront, a more confident, kind, and almost motherly persona is set forth, with smaller, more primitive urges holding a more pervasive point in her head.

Suddenly, she is no longer able to move her body. Although this causes her heart to race, she does not panic as this happens every time she enters the game. All she needed to do was blink three times.
Blink.
The white background around her begins to fade.
Blink.
All she sees is darkness, but now can feel the sensation of clothes on her body, the familiar tug in her hair and around her head of the headdress, and the gentle weight of a blanket laying over her body stopping just under the neck. The familiar hustle and bustle of Springhollow, and the soft rustling of cloth against cloth now enter her ears.
Blink.
Kaeþunn's vision is suddenly clear, showing the wooden ceiling of a tavern bedroom, dimly lit by the sun rays coming through the window just above the bed, indicating it's early-mid afternoon. She slowly moves a hand up to her head and feels her curled horn on the side of her head, tracing it to the band of her headdress, and winces slightly upon touching it. Letting out a sigh, she sits up and swings her feet off of the bed and onto the ground. The room overall is fairly simple, carrying most basic necessities like a drawer, a fireplace, a bed(obviously), and mannequin body to place one's armor. After stretching a bit, she gets up and puts on her leather armor, whispering a blessing of protection and clarity as she touches the staves on her shoulderpads. Finally, she sheathes her weaponry and places the shield on her back before heading out of the tavern and into the town.

She had been meaning to enchant her weapons for some time, as it's general knowledge that enchanted weapons have an easier time killing monsters, no matter the actual make of the weapon. The problem is, she's been having trouble deciding what enchantments to place on it. Should she add a basic elemental-based enchantment? Should it be something that better reflects the staves carved into it, like something that will instill great fear into the enemy and possibly paralyze it? Or something more...sadistic? Something that drains the strength of the enemy with every blow and gives it to the user? Something that could make her very...very powerful.

She gave an almost cruel grin, biting part of her lip to the point it began to bleed. This caused her to snap back to reality, making the grin drop and for her shake her head, almost in an attempt to shake her from the pure evil influence of the elder god that bound her to his will so long ago. She took a deep breath, wiped the blood from her mouth, and continued on to her objective: Ars Incantantio.

There seemed to be one other customer in the shop, however he appeared to be an interesting one. He looked practically undead, with an almost completely skeletal body and grey flesh around it, what little he had. His clothes seemed to be in tatters, with a ghastly white mask seemingly bound into his head by metal wires. She felt pity for him, and wished to help him however she could, but unfortunately her skill set is that which is used to smite the undead, not help them. Kaeþunn sees him ring the customer bell, and simply waits behind him until the smith comes to the front, pulling out her battle axe and tracing her finger along the stave she had carved into it.

Another eventless work day had passed, the same boring thing every single day. Wake up, work, go home, every single day. A long sigh escaped Oscar as he flung himself onto his chair, wheeling around to the opposite side of the room, stopping himself just before the end of his bedroom in which his desk and computer goodies were located. After switching on the PC and making sure the VR kit worked, Oscar dived into the grand world of Andos.

No matter how many times Oscar logged in, the same awe enveloped him. The surrealness of the feelings, visuals, senses and being able to be in the body of your own custom character always got him hyped to play the game again along with the engaging combat that he loved to be part of when taking on monsters. Strolling through town, he passed by many different shops and looked thoroughly at the sword sections, trying to find an section that might be selling an powerful sword over his more simple dual swords that he was wielding at the moment. Unfortunately, due to the crowds of people within certain stores, Oscar couldnt seem to locate any shops that he was interested in. But wait... what was that shop...?
one certain shop caught his eye. There seemed to be a beastkin, producing an new weapon on display that was etched with runes that he could not read. At first, Nial was skeptical, thinking of the rune to just be a visual effect, and that he would probably just be told a sword was magical and get scammed. But, after thinking it over, curiosity overtook Nial as he came up to the counter "Hello there, I'm looking for some kind of durable long-sword, could i see what you have on sale please?" Nial said with a friendly grin, taking a closer look at the runed sword.

Mia Bluebell / Anna

"Gotta go! Gotta go! Gotta go!"

6184857bc4b76cc2d4e49c6981316bf8.jpg

The young blue haired woman repeated as she ran down the street. After a long day of work, it was finally time to hop into the new game that had just come out, The World of Andos. The excitement was real. She had been preparing for this moment, playing all of her favorite RPGs non-stop just to immerse herself even more into the worlds that she loved. After hearing of the game back when it was first announced, she just knew there was something about it that was going to make her seriously interested in it.

Finally making it home, Mia rushed into the house, almost running directly pass her mother who had been waiting on her. "Ah! Mom... You scared me." She said, giving her a hug. After she greeted her mother, the two of them sat down and had dinner together. The entire time they were eating their meal, Mia knew her mother had something to say. She could see the worried look in her eyes. It was always the same. "I can tell you're worried mom... Is it something I did?" Mia asked, looking at her mother, as she took another bite of her food. Mia's mother nodded her head, "Yes. These late hours you've been working. I don't want you to burn yourself out, honey. The school year is busy around this time isn't it?" She asked, her tone of voice matching the look in her eyes; a worrying stare from her mother always made Mia sort of sad, because she hated making her mother worry. Mia smiled a little and nodded, "Yeah, but I was working extra hard to buy some things. I promise I'll go back to working later only during break. This was a one time thing only." Mia said in response to her mother, watching as she got up to wash her dish. "Well, if you say so." She said, giving her a kiss on the cheek and making her way out of the dining room. Mia soon finished her dinner after he mother and washed her dishes just as her mother did before rushing to her room.

Now in her room, Mia checked her console. Seems like everything was running smoothly and The World of Andos was completely installed. "Yes!" She exclaimed in a excited whisper. Getting everything started, she started the game, loading directly in. Once she completed setting up her settings to something she was familiar with, she hopped directly into the game, choosing her username and all. Once met with her character's in game name, she decided to go with a name that she used when naming all her female characters; Anna, a swordswoman who fights to enjoy the heat of battle and vanquish the evils in the world.

A little while after exploring and soloing some missions, Anna had raised enough money to do some shopping in town, so she went to a hub city where blacksmiths, general stores and much more were available. She wasn't super higher in level, but buying an upgrade or two wouldn't be too bad... And potions. Anna had tended to aggro a lot of the enemies when she was fighting due to her loud style of fighting.

(To those who are in Ars Incantantio, Zenix has not stepped out of the back yet. He is only headed there.)

Matthias/Zenix

image1.JPG

As Zenix began making his way to the front of his store, the pure ring of his patron bell sounded from the counter. He let out a sigh, not expecting anyone yet today. He carefully set the dagger on a nearby counter as he held out his arms. Within a moment, his form began to shift and change. His tails shrunk as too did his ears. His hair changed from his ashen black to a light brown, his red eyes to blue. Where Zenix had previously been, what could only be guessed as an NPC could be seen.

As Zenix stepped out from the back room, he stepped behind the counter. He pulled out an apron from underneath the counter and tied it around him, "Welcome to Ars Incantantio. My name is Allen Wandcraft. I'm the local enchanter here in Springhollow. How may I help you?" The shopkeep stood straight with the ever-present and seemingly unchanging expression. Very similar to an NPC, it would take a detailed eye to make out the differences. He looked to Assassin, the first person in line, awaiting the request.

Zenix smiled to himself in his head, his actual expression not changing. A Vampire, an undead, and a tiefling walk into an enchanter's shop. Almost sounded like the start of a bad joke. Holding his form as an NPC-esque appearance, Zenix pulled out a pad and a quill, preparing to take orders.

elf_girl_render_by_xxsweetlemonadexx-dawq1ef.pngGemma was so happy to have some free time. She had been so busy recently and really just wanted to relax and game even if it was just for a little bit. This was a world where could login and have fun she didn't want to stress out about leveling up and missions. Her game character name is Ayelen and honestly she's not much different when she's Ayelen the only maybe real difference was that didn't take things as seriously. Other then that Gemma and Ayelen are practically the same. Ayelen had been on for about 10 mins now. Ayelen and her in game friends, Bluetail, Jester, and Seeker, were planning on meeting up today. Ayelen was in Springhallow looking around at different shops as she waited for them to log on....though to be honest she couldn't quite remember if they were suppose to meet up at the town or somewhere else. She almost forgot she was suppose to get on with everyone today with how busy she had been. Ayelen was just glad there was no work....hopefully. There was chance she could get called in if one of the girls didn't show and of course Gemma would go. She never passed up on making extra cash. But for now she wasn't going to think about that. She was just going to relax and have fun.

Alicia had been studying for about 2 hours and finally finished. Luckily, she had finished in time to meet Seeker and Ayelen. She walked through the doorway from her bedroom leading to the kitchen, then to the living room. Alicia put on her headset after turning everything on. After a few seconds of the game booting up, words popped up on the screen. “Welcome Fluffy_IceCream” the words said, along with ‘Start’ at the bottom of the screen. Alicia selected start and the game quickly loaded in.

Soon enough Alicia had now become Jester and in Springhollow, where she had last logged off. “Okay! Time to find everyone!” Jester said to herself. She started to walk toward the shopping district of Springhollow and after about five minutes of looking she saw Ayelen. “Hey! Ayelen! It’s me Jester!” She said as she ran up to her.

Whilst tapping his foot for a few minutes, Nial got bored. He was fed up with these slow newbies coming into the game. He just wanted to get a weapon and quickly get into a quest rather than having to deal with a long wait. With Nials Grimace and impatience coming in to play,he now had had enough.

Taking confident strides
forward, Nial then barged in front.
Earlier when examining the beastkins actions closely, Nial noted that this shop seemed to be ran by an NPC.

‘Well, there’s my worry of being scammed vanished, now onto what I may want..’

“I was hoping that you could interest me with an enchanted longsword?”

After an extra moment to think, he quickly added.

“Oh, possibly 2 of those please, with enchantments based on the online forum guides on my class”

One benefit of NPC’s, Nial now remembered, was that they could so quickly take orders and gain information such as from the main forums whereas normal shop owners controlled by players would usually not have the knowledge. He was glad to have met one, It makes things a lot faster.

‘It must be my lucky day’
he thought, grinning to himself.

Lena logged onto World of Andos. The game she had been spending most of her freetime playing. She was supposed to meet up with a few of her friends.
One of the good things about playing in an online mmo was that nobody knew who you were in real life and nobody seemed to care either. It generally either whether you were just skilled enough to play with or were fun enough to be around. She couldn't imagine what people would think if they knew she was the heir to one of the biggest magazine companies in the world. It was always some coverage and publicity for musicians, or other famous people the media thought were attractive or popular that she had to sit through with her family or their hired reporters.
Welcome Snowy_Owl.
Bluetail arrived in Springhollow. And noticed her friends were already there.
"Jester, Ayelen! It's me bluetail!"

Kaeþunn looked around the shop as she waiting, trying to find anything that looked like a list of custom enchantments she could request, but to no avail. 'This place may not have the enchantment I'm looking for after all,' she sighed, 'Although, it still wouldn't hurt to find out what they do offer.' The only enchantment she could see that was somewhat obvious was the ones that appeared to be glowing with a hot orange color around the edges, which most likely meant something to do with fire or burning.

Not long after, the vampire that had been standing behind her for a bit seemed to grow impatient and began to move his way to the front of the line in what appeared to be a very cocksure manner, shoving a few people out of the way including Kaeþunn. Being slightly annoyed by this, she put a firm hand on his shoulder, saying "You can wait in line like the rest of us. A little patience never killed anyone, especially when it comes to buying items."

Nial's grin quickly disappeared, taking on the form of a frown. Swatting the hand off his shoulder, he turned around to face the tiefling and got up close.

"I wouldn't pick a fight with me if i were you"

He said, with an threatening look, turning back to the NPC.

Although, now thinking about it, Nial now realised that he was kind of in the wrong. Everyone was in the same situation as him and didn't push in, they were probably just as busy as he was.

Nial, unintentionally now leaning on the shop counter, now twisted his head to the side to look at the tiefling.

"Actually, never mind, I will admit that I may have been in the wrong to push in I just don't have much time today"

He said, with a nearly apologetic grin. Although that may have been a bad excuse, he didn't want to lose any pride.
