This is a repost of an IC for an RP that is starting soon!
Hello everyone! Today we bring to you our latest idea for a fantasy RP! It's a mixed humor jolly adventure RP, where anything goes as long as it doesn't mess everything up! Hopefully! Don't quote me on that!
In this, your character is a Realworlder. They are normal, ordinary homo sapiens, like you and me, who were somehow, mysteriously bamfed into a different world, and one thing they seem to have in common is their strong creativity, and some skills with a pen/pencil. Alternatively, you could also be a native of the land. It is up to you.
This world is called the Wonderverse, as they soon discovered.
The Wonderverse is as diverse in its wonders and mysteries as it is culturally. From the ancient races of High Elves who live in their consecrated forests with such otherworldly grace, to their cousins, the Low Elves, who celebrate life with their primal (almost savage and violent at times) ideas and traditions, and human communities and kingdoms sprouting up here and there around the world, where most of you Realworlders have chose to settle, but in the end, it is your call, as a character.
Also, there won't be a class system, feel free to pursuit anything your character would be interested in, but be considerate.
This RP's gonna have:
- Comedy. Just have a lot of fun, crack some jokes, don't take things too seriously. I mean it.
- Combat. Wouldn't be a good adventure without a good fight or two, would it?
- Choices. I might've phrased that poorly, but anyways, it is the choices you make, as a character. This will cover a lot of interactions between characters or with NPCs, and it is a large part of the experience. For example, as an alternative to combat, you may choose to avoid violence, and you knows, you might succeed!
- Perilous, and rewarding adventures. Dungeons, ancient ruins, cursed forests, divers' graves, you name it. The Wonderverse is a massive world, and great distances which house many dangers and opportunities separate settlements and cities.
- Team bonding and socialisation. Teamwork magic, the power of friendship man...
- Moral dilemmas. Weird thing to have in combination with comedy, but bleak humor is also welcomed here. Do you take the time to help a group of stranded travellers and risk being attacked, or leave them to their fate and carry on?
- Magic. Now this is the stuff I'm looking forward to. Magic exists as a form of knowledge that can be quite expensive. If you're familiar with D&D, you're looking at the Wizard class. Prepare to spend all of your income on nothing but parchment, ink and textbooks in the process of expanding your brain with arcane knowledge
- Surprises. This world is not the one you were familiar with. Expect the unexpected.
- Some fun times. Hopefully.
