Lilliana2

Death is no excuse for disobedience
Setting

The morning of the quest, the witches and their apprentices are just about to wake up to tend to their usual morning routines and rituals unaware that three traveling strangers are about to be knocking on their door with a life changing request...

Lilliana

Lilliana woke up a bit before her sisters as she’s usually did, she preferred to be the first one up, while she loved the other two witches it was still nice to have some alone time in the morning. She entered her apprentices room and gently shook her awake, the girl had become a bit of Lilliana’s morning ritual. She was instructed not to speak in the morning until after Lilliana spoke to her, and to make her own tea mixture for the dark witch to drink. While it seemed harsh she really wanted to ensure that her student was paying more attention to her actions rather than trying to have a discussion and her making her mentors tea every morning allowed her to study herbs even if it wasn’t her main interest, understand basic herbs was useful to any witch.
She went down to the living room in silence and pulled out her Tarot cards for her usual morning reading. She shuffled them meticulously and then began drawing some and putting some on the table. She set them in a row and studied the cards, some days they were easier to decipher and other days she had to think a bit harder but today was an easy day. A farmer, a doctor and a knight...of that a knight would come requesting help from us since they are normally loyal to a king who is loyal to the church. I hope his request is entertaining...it’s been so boring here lately. Castila had set the tea next to Lilliana when she smiled at the girl.
“Thank you for the tea. Apparently we are supposed to get 3 visitors today who want to propose a quest. A farmer, a doctor and a knight, what fun!” She smirked “I’ve told you the story of my first lover haven’t I?...I can’t remember but he was a knight I can’t stand them. I hope he has a request for me.” She mused as she looked towards the basement wondering how much she wanted to charge today.

Castila grunted as Liliana woke her up and made her brew the tea. The summoner was many things, but a morning person wasn't one of them. She sipped her drink slowly, listening as her mistress described the people who would be coming. Interesting, most interesting indeed. I wonder what they'll be asking us for.

"Well, Mistress Liliana, if you think we have time before they get here, I'd like to practice some of my curses. Anything you were planning on teaching me today?"

Jasper
The tiny sliver of sunlight that had managed to evade the curtains hit at a wonderful angle that caused Jas to squint his eyes. He was a jumbled mess of limbs and blankets while he struggled to wake himself up to prepare for the task at hand today. 'I will never understand why that man ordered me to go along on a field trip to find 'witches'. He may as well have told me to find a unicorn while we're at it', he grumbled to himself as he made his way to the shower. The hot water did wonders for his mood and his horrible bed head for a few seconds before it had begun to stick back up. His eye had already begun to throb for no good reason like a phantom pain and he sighed knowing today was going to be a drag.

Once he had gotten dressed, Jasper did a mental check to make sure that he had everything he needed like first aid supplies, water, and a few hunting knives that were essentially useless since he's always prefer hand-to-hand combat. The swift movement of one of his Leonberger companions caught his attention before the rather large fluffball launched herself at him. 'Oooof, Leona you're lucky I'm not weak with how you just randomly jump at me girl.' The other pup named Arlo was slightly calmer than his sister and was content to roll on Jasper's bed. His babies would be going to stay with his parents until he returned so he dropped them off since the house was on the way. He spoke to those he knew and offered his signature smile while a few ladies fawned over the young doctor. Jasper was told to meet the others at the edge of the forest where his parents still lived since he was a little knowledgeable about the perimeter. He sat on one of the available stumps with his dogs while he waited for the other two sucke- participants to arrive.

Thomas awoke before the sun started to rise. He had fallen asleep in an armchair as he kept watch over his mother overnight. Victoria had taken to sleeping in the large bed by her mother’s side since the crops fell. He watched them through sleepy eyes, both peacefully cradled in each others arms, the same way his mother would cradle Victoria on those nights his father went on his walks.

Or visits.

Yesterday, Thomas met a knight in the town square who agreed to let him join his quest to find a cottage of witches. Thomas was nervous to trust these strangers, but it was the best chance he had. He dared not approach the witch who cursed his family on his own.

He pulled Victoria into the kitchen to tell her of his plan. “Please, do not tell mother where I am going. Only that I’ve gone to find help,” he pleaded with his sister. “I leave tomorrow morning, most likely before you both awake, so I wanted to say goodbye to you now.” She nodded and pulled him in for a tight hug. “I believe you can find a way to end this. I will watch over mother and make sure no more harm comes to her.” She pulled away from the embrace, tears in her eyes. “Good luck Thomas.” He kissed her forehead before turning away to go collect supplies for his journey.

The sun began to peek over the broad horizon, his cue to remove himself from the armchair to meet his quest companions. Gently, he kissed the warm cheek of his sister and the cold withered cheek of his mother. “I’ll be back soon,” he whispered. As he exited the only home he had ever known, Thomas slung his pack over his shoulder and started down the dirt road to the meeting spot.

It wasn’t too far from his home, but the forest’s edge was down a second fork in the road from Landow. He had never needed to go this far before now, and butterflies beat against his stomach in anticipation of the adventure - or danger - in his near future. When he arrived to the forest’s edge, Thomas didn’t see the knight he had spoken to the day before, but a young man seated on a tree stump. His wild, silver hair rustling in the gentle breeze. Stopping a safe distance away from the stranger, Thomas cleared his throat. “I must assume we are here for the same purpose?”

Mary woke, but like normal she wasn't really in her bed. Mary was closer to nature than her sisters and thus she felt the confusion of the things that had their forms changed to suit people. It was not as though it was unnatural but still she was not as conformable as she should be in man made places. Mary happened to have slept this night next to a tree by their home, which was better than when she ended up in it's branches and fell out in the morning. While others might feel the forest was silent for mary with was a sea of whispers each tree and animal spoke to her in it's own way and word of people at the edge of the forest was slowly spreading. Mary actually ignored this news as if someone came simply to gather wood or forage for things the tress spoke of it, so it was simpler to ignore it.

Mary blinked and looked around judging that she couldn't just sleep in she got up and stretched. There were rituals and stuff to do, but Mary was far less educated in her ways of magic often just calling and for her power and using her mind to force a vision on it. Still there was one thing she needed as aside from the vague shapes and light of the area Mary couldn't make out much. She had bad eyes these days if she was in a civilized place they would just call her blind.

" Morty where are you " Mary called out her familiar was a crow she called morty.

" Stupid girl finally wakes up " He cawed often being rather insulting towards his owner, it was a good thing no one else understood him " Though you would sleep all day would be better can't do anything stupid then" He continued revealing under his words a secret care for Mary.

" Yes yes now come here i need your eyes" Mary said never getting mad at Morty

Morty flew down from his perch and landed on Mary's shoulder despite his words he never did anything to go against her just insult her " You would not need more eyes if you were not so stupid" He said leaving Mary to just sigh and head into the house for breakfast.

Adrien had awoken a couple hours before the sisters. She wanted to take advantage of the morning sun to practice a rather difficult spell without a audience. Her hand still bandaged from her last attempt at it. When she was finish she decided to gather food for mary and her to eat. Their garden was quiet fruitful. Likely because of Mary.

Adrien finished preparing their breakfast. Which was rather difficult without a fully functional hand. The burns really smart. "Crow have you finish insulting our master." Adrien says obviously kidding she never hurt Morty even if he deserved it sometimes. She didnt know what the Morty actually says but according to Mary it often insulting. Adrien then places Mary's food in front of her.

Amadeus is still at a bit of a loss. It's been a day or so since he'd made it to the small town, the last stop in civilization before he had to veer into the woods to get to the supposed 'witches cottage', and he still had no idea what he was going to say to get them to come along and actually follow them somewhere. He wasn't a bad liar, but spinning a detailed story definitely wasn't his strong suit. He'd been planning on going it alone, and it was lucky that he'd decided to stick around the town and stall for a bit, since it had led him to run into two others with similar quests. Although Ame had to admit that their reasonings were much more noble. When asked, he had simply stated that he was on a royal quest of great importance. When in doubt? Keep it vague.
"Well. Here we go."
Coming all the way here on his own had led his bad habit of talking to himself to get much worse. Hopefully having some traveling companions would help with that. His hand came up to rest on his sword as two men in the distance came into view, more out of habit than anything else. It became clear who they were as he approached them. "Good, I was starting to think I might have made a wrong turn somewhere," he said by way of greeting.

Jasper
Jasper had offered the first male that had walked up to him a friendly smile and wave, 'We are definitely here for same mission. If not, you'd basically be trespassing at this point.' He stood up to brush off the little amount of dirt on them and said a string of German commands which caused the dogs to run off in the direction of his parents' house. A new figure was approaching and Jas was pretty much just ready to get this whole trip over with. 'Can't blame you for thinking that, the path here is a disaster trip for those that haven't been here before. And with the addition of this lovely knight, we can begin the trek into the woods.'

Japer shifted the rucksack that was heavily leaning against his right shoulder. 'Even though we may have met shortly before I'd like to give a little introduction. I'm Doctor Jasper, Jas is fine, and I would greatly appreciate it if you two would refrain from eating anything in these woods. Not only could it be poisonous but considering the nature of our mission, we have to assume things could be cursed.' The last part of his little speech was heavily laced with sarcasm even though he felt the usual burn run through his scar and saw some kind of creature run from behind Amadeus and into the forest. His eyes had followed it but had refused to give the creature a second glance once it was out of range.

Lilliana
Lilliana smirked at her apprentice. She was so much like her when she was younger, eager to learn. She would definitely surpass her teacher one day, but not anytime soon. As much as she enjoyed her company she worried that she might be teaching a future rival.

“I don’t have any teachings planned today other than for you to pay attention to how the interactions go down with the guests. When you’re a powerful dark witch you have many enemies so you have to be careful how you deal with others, but I’m sure you know that.”
She said calmly as she shuffled her tarot’s and put them back into their small box. “You can practice your curses if you want to” she said as she got up and walked to the door.

“I’m going to say good morning to Mary, you can come or stay if you want. By the way...” she paused as the dumped the tea out into the grass “this tea is disgusting. You really need to pay more attention and respect to the herbs.”

The red-haired sorceress shook her head as her mistress dumped the teapot. Herblore was something for the greenspeakers to deal with, not black witches like herself. When Liliana mentioned the idea of visiting Mary, she perked up a little bit. She enjoyed the company of other witches- they were all sisters in power.

"Sure, I'll come along. It'll be nice to see her."

Thomas

“We are definitely here for same mission. If not, you'd basically be trespassing at this point.” Thomas breathed a sigh of relief as he wiped his sweaty palm on his pant leg and extended it to the man. “I’m-” He was interrupted by another voice behind him. "Good, I was starting to think I might have made a wrong turn somewhere." the knight he met yesterday approached them. “Can't blame you for thinking that, the path here is a disaster trip for those that haven't been here before. And with the addition of this lovely knight, we can begin the trek into the woods.” Thomas let the two men volley as they started their journey. He felt a little less prepared than his companions, though you could chalk that up to how he hardly left his home or journeyed further than the town square.

“Even though we may have met shortly before I'd like to give a little introduction. I'm Doctor Jasper, Jas is fine, and I would greatly appreciate it if you two would refrain from eating anything in these woods. Not only could it be poisonous but considering the nature of our mission, we have to assume things could be cursed.”

Oh dang, Thomas reflected. He probably shouldn’t have had to advise me against eating strange plants. His thoughts drifted to the carefully wrapped loaf of bread in his pack. Victoria started milling the flour from their farm and baking bread to make some extra money. It was her next to last loaf, she insisted he take it. “In case you need to mark your trail,” she told him with a sad twinkle in her eye.

Thomas snapped back to his body and realized he had missed the knight reintroducing himself to their party. He cleared his throat and added, “I’m Thomas. Sorry, I’ve never been out this far. I don’t get out too far from the farm.” Not the most charismatic communicator, but what can you do? “My mom is really sick and our land won’t grow our crops. Mom thinks a witch cursed us. I didn’t even know witches were real.”

Freya awoke to footsteps and talking outside her room. She rubbed her eyes tiredly and squinted into the dimly lit room. What time was it? She had no clue as she could barely remember the night before. She could barely remember what she did last. The longer she thought about it, the more the memory ran from her. She chalked it up to probably doing a big spell. At that moment a dark bluish black paw touched the side of her face. She looked up and seen that Levius was awake. "I'm up... I'm up.." She said softly as she rose from the bed, her familiar jumped off the bed and trotted into the kitchen.

Freya switch out of her night robes into her usual attire and left the room, only to see that the kitchen was empty. Usually she'd find Liliana in there or Castila. She shrugged her shoulders and made herself some jasmine tea. She used her free hand, which wasn't holding the tea, and petted Levius as he came to join her. Once she finished her tea she looked throughout the house to see if her sisters were around. But she found no one. Maybe they were outside?

The white haired witch promptly went back to the center of the house, which was the kitchen, and found Mary and her apprentice Adrien. "Oh!" She exclaimed as she made her way over to the two and took a sit. She sipped her tea as her familiar joined them and curled up by Freya's feet. "Have either of you seen Liliana this morning? I looked all throughout the house. Not a soul." She paused for a moment. "That was until I came here and saw you two." She observed her sister for a bit before speaking. "Were you outside again dear? Hopefully you were inside the tree this time."

Mary just chuckled at Adrien talking to Morty about his manner of talking. To many the way he spoke did seem mean or insulting but Mary knew better a familiar always cared for the one they were bound to and thus he cared for her, he just showed it oddly. Still Mary did have a job for her as it seemed their visitors were heading it if the trees spoke true, they would need an escort. Still as Morty looked about and let Mary see clearly she could see Adrien's burns or the bandages meaning she had lost control. The power over fire Adrien had required great control and mental discipline to fully control it like Mary's own power over nature. That actually made it more difficult to master than something that can be read out of a book and get a constant result, at least in her opinion. Mary would have to get Freya to heal Adrien as while Lilliana might leave her student with injuries to teach her, Mary didn't want to as she felt herself more at blame for not teaching right. It was right as Mary thought this that Freya came out the only one of the sister's without a current student, one day she would surely get one but not right now.

Mary didn't respond to Freya at first instead deciding to tell her about the guests coming while sending out morty. " We have guests coming today it seems Morty i need you to watch them for me make sure they don't get lost and no one messes with them" She said wanting no animals to mess with the men as the animals in the forest could get mean.

Morty looked to Mary " Idiot girl they just want things for free" he cawed always " Likely make up a story to make you do something stupid like always" he continued before hopping off her shoulder to take flight " I find them bring them but should just reject them they are fools" he continued wanting to keep Mary from people that might try to use her still he flew off .

Mary then turned to Freya " Morning sorry but i haven't seen wither i just woke up but Liliana likely already knows we have guests coming and is getting ready" Mary said before chuckling " And i slept under it not in it this time, though i think Adrien needs your help if you wouldn't mind it seems i am still lacking in my role as a teacher" Mary said needing Freya to heal Adrien as she took some of the fruit Adrien offered.

Meanwhile morty would fly faster than normal knowing where to find the intruders angry that Mary would likely again be far to kind. Morty did want her to stop and tried to get it though her head but nothing would change her mind, still he tried. Morty soon made it to the three men and circled overhead letting out a loud caw before settling down on a nearby branch watching the three. It was clear to anyone what knew anything about birds would know this was not normal.

Lilliana glanced around outside before realizing her sister must’ve gone into the house. She headed back inside and walked past Freya and Mary to put her cup in the sink.

”Good morning you two! We have some guests coming our way.”
She said as she reentered the room. It didn’t take her long to realize that Morty was not by Mary’s side. Mary must’ve sent Marty to scout out the visitors. She looked at her youngest sister, she might not have seemed very young to other beings but she would always be Lilliana’s little sister. She was protective and loving of Freya too but she knew Freya could handle herself, her middle sister had proven her resilience a million times over and Lilliana held a good amount of respect for the white witch.

In her opinion while Mary was strong she was also less used to the darker sides of human nature. She glanced at Adriens wounds, Mary was definitely going to have Freya heal her. She didn’t agree with it thinking it was better for apprentices to learn through their wounds like she had when she was young but she would never undermine her sisters teaching methods. At least not in front of her student.

”It’s a knight, a doctor and a farmer...kind of a strange trio. I think we should keep our guards up. I don’t trust people who travel with birds of a different feather.” Lilliana knew her sisters might not have agreed with her judgements all the time, but she’d seen many different groups of travelers and normally when it was a gaggle of different types of people at least one of them would have ulterior motives. She approached Mary and gently ran her fingers through her hair gently wriggling out some knots and a few twigs. She smiled warmly “Now you look perfect Mare.” she looked over to Freya. She already looked well groomed and ready for guests. “Of course you already look ready for guests, I wouldn’t expect any less from you Fey! Your tea smells delicious would you mind if I grab a cup?” She glanced at Castila and gave her a small small smile, she would grab her a cup too if there was enough.

Castila grimaced as Liliana made her crack about the tea. She went over to the pot and saw that there wasn't much there, but a simple duplication charm solved the problem easily enough. She handed a cup to her mistress, then started to sip from her own.

"Did your cards tell you what exactly they want, or is the magic not that specific?"

As someone that places family above all things, he felt a strong sense of empathy with Thomas. The thought alone caused his heart to clench and twist, and he had to push down unexpected fear. 'I am very sorry to hear of your mother's situation Thomas. If there's anything I can help with as a Doctor after this trip, please allow me to visit. I also don't believe in witches or magic for that matter, all things have a scientific explanation waiting to be unearthed. Take my eye for example, just a freak occurrence with my iris being filled blood that has no escape route and is easily visible because it was originally a light grey.'

Jasper had just taken the first step into the forest when he heard the sound of a loud caw from above. His eyes narrowed with slight irritation, he'd never gotten along with birds nor liked them. 'Damn feathered vermin, no need to scream at us.' A small piece of him had reverted back to his childish state and he stuck his tongue out at the bird. Ever since he had food taken form his hand by a bird when he was 7, he's never accepted them as anything other than thieves with wings.

Adrien was eating a really ripe juicy apple. The juice from from it dripped down her chin and neck. Her ears perked up when her master spoke about healing her hand. "No master, I dont want my hand healed for something so minor. I already treated it with aloe plant." Adrien said removing the bandage from her hand. Showing only some minor blistering and redness and then quickly bandage her hand again.

Adrien then dipped a wash cloth in some cool water and whipe her mouth, chin and neck. "Are we really going to leave our home?" Adrien says with deep breath. Adrien didnt trust people. In her experience blind trust was a liability.

Thomas

Thomas smiled towards his shoes at the kind words from Jasper. Strange for this man to journey to meet with witches. He noticed how easily he moved through the terrain. Best to just forget about that. Their skilled companion indicated towards his eye, something Thomas had refrained from really looking at. He wasn't quite sure the protocol; Manners weren't a strong skill. "Thank you Doctor. My sister and I would be very thankful. We don't have much, but if our crops begin growing again, we can provide you with fresh produce and flour." He turned his focus to Amadeus. "Both of you."

The troupe traveled on. "At least we've got good weather for walking," Thomas said with a smile. Suddenly and with a caw, something swooped behind him and passed over his head. Thomas let out a yell, his hands frantically touching his face, ears, and neck to make sure he was alive as he turned every which way trying to locate the source of the scare. He felt silly, but slightly validated when Jasper was also spooked by the creature. Finally getting eyes on the beast, Thomas discovered it was a crow. Now, he didn't often have problems with crows, but something about this crow was giving him the willies. It's beady black eyes stared deep into his. He shook his head. "I don't trust crows, but I respect them."

Freya The White Witch

Freya heard her sister tell Morty they were having guests and she wanted him to watch over them. She thought about what her sister had said for a moment until Mary turned her attention towards her. Once again mentioning they were having guests. What kind of guests? How many? Freya hoped there wasn't too many on their way here. It was hard dealing with everyone at once if they all came at the time. She briefly pouted at this bit of news but it didn't last because Mary brought up the fact she slept under the tree this time and not in it. It brought a small smile to her lips and turned her attention to Adrien.

Right at the time Freya was going to ask for Adrien's hand, her elder sister came strolling in with her apprentice. "Good morning Lily dearest." Freya took a few more sips of her tea and focused her attention on Lillianna because it seemed she had something to say. When Freya found out how many and who the guests were she couldn't help but grin. It sounded like a unlikely rag tag bunch put together at the last minute. She offered a small laugh and agreed it was a strange trio indeed. Freya looked down at her tea and back up to her sister. "Of course you can.. though I don't believe there will be enough for a full cup."

Freya watched Castila go over to the pot and simply duplicate the tea so there was enough for Lilliana and herself. "Well, problem solved it seems." She took another sip as she moved over closer to Mary and Adrien with Levius climbing up on stool Freya left unoccupied. "Let me see your hand Adrien?" She asked softly but instead of offering Freya her hand, Adrien refused her sisters wish and showed them her inflamed and blistered hand. It didn't seem too bad, but it wasn't as minor as Adrien let on.

She softly grabbed Adrien's hand and before the young girl could protest, Freya spoke swiftly. "Do not fret, I will honor your wish and not heal it. I will, however lessen the pain and how uncomfortable it is." Freya wasn't going to heal it, but she was going to give it just alittle boost so it would healer alittle faster. That way she honored her sisters' wish as well as Adrien's own in a way. She put her tea cup down and placed her now free hand lightly over the bandaged wound. She took a deep breath and muttered something and a little light shown beneath her hand. She released Adrien and picked her tea back up to sip it some more.

"Lily, do you know how close they are? I wonder what they could want..." She looked over to her sister expectantly.

Mary was a little sad her apprentice would rather have marred skin than accept healing. The power of fire was highly destructive and sought to consume all as flames always did, yet that fire made way for new things and the same should be true of Adrien's skin. In the end Adrien made her choice and Mary would not protest despite feeling to be a bad teacher as her student got hurt. She could see through the eyes of Morty as the others spoke and she could see the three men on starting their journey. They were lucky they could not understand Morty who was telling them to go away in some rather course language, he never liked visitors.

" We will go if we can help" Mary said to her apprentice as her mind let of of Morty's vision and returned to her blurry indistinct world. Her vision was mostly gone thanks to backlash and even though she could see people most features were a blur and fine details were gone it was only with her familiar that she could function. " They are heading through the woods now it shouldn't be to long if they get lost morty will guide them" Mary said as despite Morty wanting them gone he wouldn't go against Mary's orders.

Amadeus
So having companions maybe wasn't all Amadeus had been hoping for. When the doctor told him not to eat anything in the forest (not only a forest, but a witches forest no less) he refrained from sighing. No one in their right mind would be reckless enough. He stayed quiet for most of the conversation, feeling content to plot his own plans while the other two men made small talk, nodding along politely but contributing minimally, the knight wasn't the most social person anyway. He looked to the farmer.
"The sentiment is appreciated, but your quest seems to be a noble one. I'm happy to help where I can."
The crow had also caught Ame's eye as it watched them and he flinched when it came a bit too near his head for comfort, but he was too used to the hunting hawks they used back home to be properly alarmed by the creature.
"They're unusual creatures for sure," Amadeus responded, grinning at the bird. "Hello." He certainly wasn't behaving like a wild bird ought to, and they were in a witches forest. Putting two and two together wasn't terribly difficult. It was trained or charmed, or something, but whatever it was, it wasn't going to leave them alone any time soon. Ame dug in his food pouch briefly and came up with a small bag with nuts and dried fruit. As he took a small handful out he knew he would miss the rations on the journey but leaving an offering, whether the thing wanted the food or not, seemed to be the only respectful thing to do, so he scattered them across the path and their group began walking again.

Lilliana

Lilliana held her tea in both hands enjoying the smell. “Sadly the tarot’s only tell you want they want to. Sometimes they can be very specific but most of the time they are very vague. They’re one of those magic abilities that you either have or don’t. You can improve at reading them but if it’s not a natural talent then it’s not likely to manifest.” She explained between sips of her tea. She sat in silence enjoying the flavor as she listened to her sisters talk. She had to admire Adriens decision to reject the healing spell, even though she ate apples like a slob. Freyas decision to lessen the pain also seemed like a very good middle ground too!

Are we going to leave? I know they want to but it would have to be a good reason to leave I can’t risk our lives for something a lesser witch could fix. She watched as Mary spoken about going on the quest if they were needed. She was so trusting, maybe her sister just really wanted some adventure. ”I’m not going unless there’s a good reason or payment to leave. We have plenty of enemies and if I die we all lose immortality.” her tone was stern, but she had nothing but concern behind her motives. ”I can’t risk anything bad happening to you to because of me.” The guests would be arriving soon and she hated to spring the news on her sisters with such short notice but she didn’t want them to not know either. She turned to her apprentice ”What would you do in this situation?” she asked curious to her what her prodigy would conclude.

Adrien knew better than to argue with the sisters. She accepted freya's help. Atleast it was still her own healing. Adrien approached a bucket of water they clean with and dipped a rag in it to clean the apple juice off her face. Lilliana was hard to impress even for her apprentice. Adrien remember trying to make tea for her and failing to get the temperature right. It frustrated Adrien. "I am going to go check the morning fish traps. Maybe we got enough fresh fish for everyone. " Adrien said not wanting to be in a huge conversation about what may or may not happen. Adrien only did what mary wanted dispite any protest she may say. "Master is their anything you need before I leave?" Adrien said quietly to mary.

Calista thought for a moment about Liliana's quandary. On the one hand, this could be a very simple thing, but losing immortality was quite a risk. "Hmm... I'd say you should go, Mistress. Quite frankly, you are the most powerful witch here- anything that could kill you would destroy the rest of us, anyway. At the very least, we should hear them out. If it doesn't seem worth it, we can always tell them no."

Jasper had noticed that the knight had begun feeding the damn winged evil a while back but had tried his best to ignore it. There was something fundamentally wrong with that bird to the point that his scar had begun to throb once more. There was a trail of what he could only relate to smoky tendrils seemingly connecting it to something in the direction that they were heading.

A few more miles of 'enchanted' woods had to be crossed before the surrounding foliage seemed to shift. More herbal plants and those that had alternative uses were picked up on by Jasper. There were also a few that he could not recognize regardless of all of his training and knowledge of various plantation. He spotted one that looked like some kind purple cherry littered with yellow and green seeds. 'We must be getting pretty close to these so called witches, none of these berries look vaguely familiar.
