Pure Bloods get + 1 Intelligence, Half Bloods get +1 Fortitude and Muggle borns get +1 agility.

Intelligence:
Fortitude:
Agility:

(Optional: once you distributed the points you could give a short description based on the numbers above on how their character got those points or something like that.)

Here's some assistance to get an idea how the points are like:

Skills/Talents level

1 point = Beginner (1st-2nd year level)
2 points = Novice (3rd-5th year level)
3 points = Adept (You know all school level spells)
4 points = Advanced (You know and you're capable of doing them in a cinch or nonverbally)
5 points = Master (You're a true master rivaling the Professors)

Intelligence level

1 = Average
2 = Above Average
3 = Smart
4 = Gifted
5 = Genius

Fortitude level

1 = Average
2 = Above Average
3 = Tough
4 = Strong-minded
5 = Courageous without any fears

Agility level

1 = Average
2 = Above Average
3 = Quick on his/her feet
4 = Nimble
5 = Athletic

So I'm going to implement a "recommendation system", so if there's a dispute if character A could do something or maybe if character A and character B's dueling and you're unsure if he could do that then I'd try my best using those points that you distribute and come up with a winner.

If you're curious about the calculation methods/how it'd impact the RP then please refer to the Others link.

Veronica Barrios

Basics
Name: Veronica Barrios
Nicknames: Ronnie
Age: 16
School year: 6th
Academy: Hogwarts (Slytherin)
Blood Status: Muggle-born
Gender: Female
Details:
Height: 5'9
Weight: 126 pounds
Eye color: Green
Hair color: Brown
Body modifications: Tattoo 1 (left arm) / Tattoo 2 (right thigh) / Tattoo 3 (right arm)
Wand: Alder wood with a Dragon heartstring core 12 ½" and Surprisingly Swishy flexibility
(click here for a pic of her wand!)

Persona and Bio
Personality: Veronica is a clever and persuasive girl who likes to achieve great things and never gives up once she was a clear goal and a strong motivation. She firmly believes brains are more important than strength, and always thinks first before she acts. However, she can be quite impulsive, especially when she's anxious or angry, and has little to no patience for anything or anyone. She likes to be in control of everything, and can be quite bossy because of it. She's also known for manipulating and lying to others in order to get what she wants. As true horned serpent, she's incredibly proud of her intelligence and ability to make up elaborate plans in just a few seconds. The girl has a unquenchable thirst for knowledge and her curiosity is one of her strongest characteristics. She's an eccentric girl who doesn't mind standing up for her beliefs, no matter the consequences.

She's incredibly strong minded, and takes great pride and what she believes in. Known for taking action and always speaking her mind, she can be quite confrontational when she doesn't agree with someone and is incredibly opinionated in most social, cultural, political and economical subjects. Veronica is also incredibly stubborn, and it is quite hard to make her change her mind or act against her wishes.The girl holds a sharp tongue, and likes to throw one or two well-thought insults every now and then. Sometimes this leads to trouble, but it's worth it. It's important to know that Veronica is cocky and slightly arrogant, especially when she does something right.

Veronica is incredibly loyal to the ones she cares for and turns aggressive when someone hurts the ones she cares for in any way. When it comes to revenge, she's an expert. Her plans are elaborate, delicate and well thought out, and she doesn't like it when the person she was supposed to hurt leaves without any injuries. She cares deeply for her friends and family, and tries her hardest to make sure they're well taken care of and tries to help them with whatever problems they might have. Veronica likes to keep her secrets for herself and doesn't trust others so easily. It's not easy to gain her trust, and it's even harder to get her to trust someone else.

Skills/Talents: Public speaking, writing, photography
Likes: Movies, reading, writing, history, rock music, photography
Dislikes: Sports, insects, guns, heights, vegetables, dancing
Habits or quirks: Biting her nails, playing with her hair, biting her lower lip
Hobbies: Writing, photography and playing the piano
Fears: Fire, heights, guns, snakes (ironically)

Biography: Veronica was born as oldest daughter of Maria and Mateo Barrios, two Colombian journalists who made a living by writing for independent and cultural Colombian magazines. Her parents were often away because of their work, but they were incredibly doting and caring parents who deeply loved their three children. Veronica's early childhood was filled with wonderful memories and fun with her family. Despite being born in a violent country ravaged by a war, Veronica was mostly shielded from the violence due to the fact she lived in the capital city, and always saw the war as a distant problem she wouldn't ever have to worry about. However, unlike most of the other young children from the city, Veronica was not completely clueless about the war, since her parents were incredibly knowledgeable and wrote countless of articles about the war and usually shared their thoughts with their children.

Her parents were known political activists, who advocated for the creation of a peace treaty between the Colombian government and the main guerilla groups, which placed a huge target on their backs. They began getting death threats, both from the guerilla groups and the government, and began taking extra measures to protect their family. They hired bodyguards, filled their house with security cameras, and bought a house in Europe in case they ever needed to escape from their country. Veronica and her siblings knew the danger their family was in, and entered a stage of constant fear and paranoia. Yet their bravery and hope returned by watching their parents, who were in even more danger and still placed themselves under the spotlight and let their opinions be heard, never letting themselves be silenced even in the most dire moments.

Everything was fine until Veronica, who was already showing signs of magic, turned 9. Her mother had been sent on a two week trip to the mountains as an assignment to interview the people affected by the war in the more rural areas. Two weeks passed, followed by four weeks, followed by two months, followed by five. Veronica's father declared her a missing person, and the police began looking for her to no avail. Everyone knew what happened to journalists who entered dangerous territory, and her hopes of survival were incredibly dim. After a particularly horrible death threat from someone claiming to be from the government, Veronica's father decided he had to make sure what happened to his wife wouldn't happen to him or his children. The Barrios family immigrated to England and moved into their house in London.

While sad to leave her country, Veronica found herself liking the new city lifestyle and adapted to the UK quite easily. Since she had attended a private school in Colombia, she already knew how to speak English, so the language barrier was no problem. Veronica began pursuing hobbies such as writing and reading, her mother's favorite hobbies, in hopes she would grow up to be like her mother. On her 11th birthday, she received the news of her acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her parents and siblings were understandably shocked, but accepted the news of Veronica being a witch after a few ours with a teacher and Veronica was allowed to attend the school. Upon her arrival, she was immediately sorted into Slytherin, which she was incredibly proud of.

Being a muggleborn in Slytherin brough its fair share of judgement and discrimination from her fellow peers. After all, Voldemort was gone, but that doesn't mean blood supremacy went along with him. Veronica began involving herself into school proyects and groups, trying to prove herself to her fellow Slytherins and slowly gained their respect. She also got involved in politics, especially the problems regarding the Statue of Secrecy and the controversy surrounding Dick Chutney's policy. Veronica became an outspoken supporter of Chutney's policies, and the integration of muggles into the wizarding world. Writing for small papers in support for muggles, going to protests, even being arrested for alledgedly exposing her magic to other muggles by uploading a video of a simple charm on the internet (the only reason she wasn't expelled was because this happened while Chutney and his policies were still present in the Ministry). Lately, she's become an important member of MerLIn, working as an informant within the school.

Wand: Cedar 13 inches, Phoenix tail feather, Pliant

Persona and Bio

Personality:

Ever since 1, Luke has always been a curious boy, being a muggle librarian's son, he's familiar with language and books really early. When he knew how to use English, his thirst for knowledge kicked in and he grew up to be a man of knowledge, be it science, poetry, literature, engineering he reads all of them. He's a quiet and reserved individual. Most of the time people would find him pressing his chin against his palm resting on his thigh making a pose similar to The Thinker and his friends would find it extremely difficult to get him talking or even notice them. He's a rational man and always thought his moves thoroughly.

But knowledge isn't the only thing in his life, his mother's influence was significant to him. The kind woman inside of her seemed to rub off on the boy. He always tried to understand people and tried his best to solve their problems. Solveable problems are pretty rare though, most of the time people's troubles are far more complex than what he thought, sometimes he might overthink these problems and detached himself from the world even if he's in the middle of a conversation. If it's too complex, most of the times he'd just remain silent and listened to whoever he's speaking to or try to change the subject and avoid diving too deep.

He didn't seem to notice the political tension brewing around him. Most people, especially FML members would look at him as a distant, apathetic, individual who just don't care anymore. He's not exactly famous in MerLIn too since he always seemed to ignore them when they started talking about the crazy conspiracies they proposed.

It'd be accurate to think of him as a selfish individual since he only cared for himself, even when his closest friends helped him at a job, he never said thank you and just brushed them off. His divorced parents and the last years he spent with his father, grew this behaviour, he spent quite awhile living alone and fending for himself.

In short, he'd give up all the powers, all the riches, all the girls, everything just for an eternal life alone with limitless library.

Skills/Talents: Mathematics, Linguistics, Chess.

Likes: Reading, Alone, Calculating, Studying, Theories.

Dislikes: Rumors, Lies, Uncertainty, Zealotry, Dismissal of logic.

Habits or quirks:

He always kept his hands inside his pocket, if they're out he'd always feel insecure and his digits would just jitter like he's panicking, he'd also swing them around or try his best to hide them again.

Hobbies: Reading, thought experiments, playing chess.

Fears: Agoraphobia, public speaking, communication with strangers.

Biography:

He was born in Pisa to Carlotta Moretti (née Palazzo)and Giuseppe Moretti. Mr. Moretti wasn't exactly the best wizard, unlike Luke he had an aversion to books, he only liked ones with pictures or simpler words. When others were nosing down for the equivalent of OWLs, Mr. Moretti was reading Dracula to impress his studious muggle girlfriend. The tale of Abraham Van Helsing inspired him so much that he abandoned his education to pursue a career in vampire hunting. As you may have guessed, even after he reached adulthood, his career never really took off. Most of the vampires he encountered were literate, educated and protected by the Italian magical government. One night he shared a night of passion with Carlotta and because of an "accident", the Palazzos forced young Giuseppe to marry Carlotta. The young couple moved out of Anchiano to Pisa and spent their life there for the first year, using the wedding gifts to fund their slightly lavish life. It's also here that Luke was born.

Luke didn't talk much or cry a lot, he's mostly quiet and observant, even when he's months old he seemed to comprehend the conversations his parents were having and spoke his first word shortly after. Born prematurely, he didn't have the physical capability of children his age and his babyhood's filled with sleeps or a lot of "experiments" (more like torturing) on small animals with complex systems he crafted from toys. Mrs. Moretti saw this and instead gave her books which surprisingly stole his attention and stopped those odd experiments.

After a year passed Lucas was able to master italian and slowly began to master english as well. Mr. Moretti eventually decided they should migrate to the UK, it's not because Luke started to learn english and he needed tutor, no it's money oriented. He figured a new land presented new opportunities and he's so certain that his future would be bright. Again just like the vampire hunting career, that didn't end up well. The tough life as immigrants always put his parents at odds with each other, it reached a point where they're just a pair of strangers under the same roof. At one night, when Luke closed the chapter on Dracula, the man disappeared and he became nothing but memory. She cried her hearts out and he couldn't do anything, he regretted this and ever since then he always felt a responsibility when he saw tears trickling down a person's cheeks.

As a boy he always kept close to his mama. In the first years of primary school he'd cry or run away to the library where his mother worked and it happened way nearly everyday. Ms. Moretti couldn't even count the times she's being summoned to the school. He'd stay there until his mom's done with her works and he'd read every books that he can. When he's older he received a library card and from then on he seemed to mature a bit, the running away's gone, but still, after school's done he'd go straight to his mom.

One day, he came to the library only to find the librarian's different. He went home and saw the ambulance there, she died of cerebral hemorrhage and he's left alone as a wee 8 year old boy.

After some court proceedings the custody's bestowed to Mr. Moretti, who's now working in the Ministry as a simple janitor. The two never grew close, even after all these years, even after Mr. Moretti tried to approach him with kindness, giving him gifts, taking him for walks, just being there, Luke never bothered. He's nowhere to be found in school and after a quick search, the police found him skipping class and reading in the library where his mother used to work.

As a father who wanted to please his son he took him to the magical world and introduced him to the magical community. The smile returned, but they came to visit the Ministry and he saw the degrading treatments that his father received and learnt that he's nothing more but a mere janitor. He's always told that his father was a great man, but this disappointment seemed to sever the bond completely. Luke never wanted to see his father, even if he never entered a verbal dispute with his old man, he always seemed to evade him, he hid his face, replied with a word or two and seemed to regard him as just another stranger.

Luke never showed any signs of early magic and Mr. Moretti thought of him as a squib, but the letter came on his 11th birthday and with a simple shake of the hand, an exchange of plain smiles, he left for Hogwarts.

He's pretty bright, so naturally lots of students asked him for mentoring, but he was always so critical with wrong answers and if someone asked a question he'd answer it with twisted, philosophical, nonsense pretty difficult to understand. His aloofness, his reserved nature, his rudeness and his natural quietness made him unpopular with teachers and students alike.

He was an FML on his third year but after only a year he left, someone from MerLIn approached him but he dismissed them and called them "Purposeless fearmongering machines." Academically, he got a wall of Os but received a D on Potions. The only thing that he fell in love with after the knowledge stored in his mother's library is the nature of charms. He grew fond of bending the rules of physics with the wave of the wand and focused his studies there.

Luke found it extremely difficult to even cast the Levitation charm since he never showed any burst of magical powers when he's a boy, but he dedicated nearly all those times he could be using for communication just for charms and charms theory that Flitwick himself gave him advanced materials from 7th year and beyond. Wanting to atone for his father's failure, his ambition's to be an educator, a charms master that could mould students' minds.

His charms prowess was such that a rumor began to spread. The rumor mentioned that he used a form of magic called "Everlasting Fire" to assist FML in "transforming" the missing students, it mentioned that the eternal fire burnt their backs until their minds started to distort. He simply dismissed them saying that their backs are fine. No one ever bothered to check and the rumor slowly died, but his rep has gotten worse ever since

blood status: Pureblood but uh actually half-blood
wand:

• physical

eye color: grey-hazel
hair color: dark brown
height: 5”11
weight: 155lbs

personality: Damon Callixtus is first and foremost one of those people who tries to watch everything. It's an instinct so deeply ingrained in his psyche that he has to concentrate, when he's in conversation with someone else, on not looking over their shoulder or letting his eyes dart to the right, to the left. It's perhaps the artist in him that tries to catch every little detail of a room, no matter how subtle. But it's likely also another inherent need of his, a need to know and understand everything.

Artistry can't account for all of this watchfulness; in truth Damon is a lover of secrets and he collects them as another person might quarters. It's a fixation he's had since childhood when his being confined to the Callixtus Manor (and boredom otherwise) led to him discovering all sorts of dark passageways and the key to being unseen, unheard.

Even now he'll find himself more comfortable in a dark corner then he might around a crowd of otherwise pleasant people.

But Damon has never felt the urge to let his more introverted tendencies rule him. There's always connections to be made, relationships to be forged and he knows that to be someone means you need the company of other people. And for the most part, Damon is good with other people. He knows too keep conversations safe, to keep from edging into the dangerous areas of religion, politics and other personal beliefs. But he also knows how to get under a person's skin, to rile them up without throwing a punch.

Damon has never been scared of stepping up and speaking his opinions, regardless of the predominant opinion of a room. If anything, he enjoys the heat of an argument and sometimes will be contradictory just to get one going. But he doesn't always account for what might be the consequences of anothers vindictive anger as he himself doesn't often hold grudges. He's not very empathetic in this way, most times disregarding people's emotions, calling them overly-sensitive as if that will minimize the damage.

talents: artist, though he keeps to scribbles of still-life and his imaginings in a notebooo
fears: being invisible, being powerless
hobbies: sketching, finding new/hidden places

• background

The union of Ophelia and Cassius Callixtus wasn't one built on foundations of love and trust, rather then a promise of an engagement and its fulfillment. In short, it was a business arrangement between two very closely related families whose interests were the same - to keep it in the blood.

Ophelia for the most part tried to see the positives in the man she'd likely be spending the rest of her days with. She entertained hopes of a storybook marriage of love and vanquished dragons. Cassius didn't think to quell his wife's 'amusing' hopes although he wasn't quite as open to actually honoring his vows.

Cassius had engaged in ephemeral little affairs with individuals as lowly as the chambermaid all through his life (much to his father - Cassius the II's distaste - although the man didn't hesitate to cover up his son's indiscretions as best he could), and his bachelor card being removed would have no bearing on his personal life.

So the day one of Cassius' little flings became pregnant was an inevitable one.

Conveniently, the still blissfully unaware Ophelia was struggling through her third pregnancy of the year around this time. The babies before this one had been miscarriages, but she was still holding out the hope of carrying at least one child to term.

Her maid, Bonnie, was privy to all of Ophelia's spoken thoughts and was the closest thing to a confidant Ophelia had in the Callixtus household. If she'd known what Bonnie and Cassius were doing behind closed doors, perhaps she would've been against confessing her yearnings to one of such a rank.

But Ophelia was lonely and in need of a kind ear.

So Bonnie heard Ophelia's hopes of a child while all the while her own belly grew rounder and she begin to dread the worst.

Unfortunately Ophelia lost this third child barely halfway through the nine months. Doubting her own abilities to fulfill her responsibilities as a wife, for the first time Ophelia eyed her maid with jealousy and a burning hatred.

This hate would only grow once Ophelia learned what her husband had done. In efforts to quell his wife's fury Cassius urged her to take the child from Bonnie, raise it as her own. It would be cleaning up two problems at once, and -

"It's not as if anyone will ever know."

Ophelia consented to the arrangement despite her better judgement. And poor Bonnie was fired as soon as the baby was delivered, paid handsomely to keep her silence.

And so Damon grew up with no knowledge of the arrangement.

His childhood was spent in the solitude of the beautiful but quiet English countryside. The Callixtus manor had no immediate neighbors so Damon played by himself rather then with other kids. But most of his time was occupied by his very high-maintenance, at times overly-protective mother. She would complain about his father to him in one breathe, in another scold him for inheriting none of her features. The irony of it was lost on him.

Only when he grew old enough to begin schooling did his father reluctantly ease into a bigger role in his life. His schooling was the center of much dissent by his parents. Ophelia naturally wished for him to attend Hogwarts as that was where she'd gone to school and she had a great many memories there. But Damon was, as his father put it, a Callixtus man, and Callixtus men all went to Durmstrang. Cassius won the argument, so Damon headed out farther from home then he'd ever been.

Home had been an idealistic bubble of same-old, same-old. He'd gotten up when he wanted, eaten when and what he'd wanted - everything was to his preferences and erratic schedule. Durmstrang was the opposite of anything he'd ever expected.

Any other person might have considered the uniforms stifling, the matches and roll-calls too uncompromising. And the rule that all of the boy's had to shave their heads - unreasonable. But Damon, despite his initial bad impression, found that it was the structure and simplicity that he needed. The school encouraged interest in the Dark-arts, wanted students to be able to protect themselves so made dueling a mandatory class.

And Damon got as involved as he could though he shied from Quidditch finding it to be entirely too athletic for his tastes. He started the Dueling Club with a friend for, as they said, 'further practice outside of class' (though it was really just an excuse to try and modify/create there own spells and practice it on each other, an activity that would've otherwise been banned from school grounds). When the political climate became all the more precarious and Durmstrang begin to be urged to open its doors to those outside of the pureblood strata, Damon was one of the first to step up and say it was a violation of the schools freedoms and there traditions.

His words as a 2nd year had no true bearing on Durmstrang's decision to ignore the outside forces urging this change but it did propel Damon into the spotlight at Durmstrang as one of the voices of change. Encouraged by his peers support, Damon started the Society of Wizard Conservatives (SWC) and led the rally at Durmstrang against Dick Chutney's initial policies. When the man's political moves came to an abrupt stop with the ministry's countering's there was a collective exhalation of the utmost relief from Durmstrang's majority and talk of dissolving SWC begin.

Damon saw no reason for the disbandment and urged his peers that the worst was yet to come.
