The Vostroyan Protectorate

Death Korps of Krieg

Keeper of the Ruins
ThereSpecies Sheet]

250

Name: Vostroyans
General Life-Span (Eternal Allowed): 1,650 years
Appearance: As human as they look, their minds and capabilities betray their humanlike appearance. They are noticeably taller and more slender than humans, and are much more agile and lightfooted.
6-7 feet tall in average.
Attributes: They are all psychically attuned in some way, but only a few ever unlock their psychic power in full. These individuals are known as Seers, and they destroy their foes in battle with psychic flame, as well as guiding their allies in combat. In addition, they guide the Wraithbone automatons known as the Wraithguardians to battle, whose robotic shells have been empowered by the spirits of fallen Vostroyan warriors.

Their psychic power varies from individual to individual, but in most cases, ordinary citizens are restricted to a higher form of telepathy, and Seers use destructive psychic powers. These powers of destruction range from telekinesis of objects heavier than themselves, conjuring lightning, and coaxing the ghostly psychic essence of their fallen ancestors to empower the Wraithguardians. These essences are energies of the fallen Vostroyan's psychic power, which contain the greater part of their personality and skill in life; they can more or less be called spirits in a more or less general sense.

Wraithbone automatons are towering constructs that stand side by side of their living kindred to battle. Usually known as Wraithguardians, they are built from a highly resilient material called Strathite, which is most believed to be a nanocomposite substance of carbon, but its exact composition is rather unclear. Either way, the Wraithguardians are powerful war constructs that protect their living kindred by burning all that stand in their path. They wield long barreled weapons called Soul Reapers, which launch multiple salvos of small energy missiles towards enemy infantry and armored vehicles, burning both alike in a torrent of flame and death. They are capable of resisting damage lethal to living warriors, and still fight with brutal efficiency.

Wraithguardians of the fallen world of Etherias

The Seers are highly respected in Vostroyan society, and they are the ones that led their race during their darkest days. Wielders of potent psychic power, the Seers are both guides and destroyers. The Path of the Seer is a treacherous one, and not all survive it. Only those with the strongest minds can survive for long as Seers, and these elites lead the entire Vostroyan Protectorate.

Situation of the Vostroyans -

The Vostroyans are an ancient race of psychic humanoids, born from the ingenuity of some ancient race that modifide their ancestors to turn them to what they are now. After that said race was destroyed by itself, the Vostroyans inherited their position, eventually becoming one of the most powerful empires in existence, until their own pride proved to be their own undoing. The Vostroyan Empire crumbled under a sea of rebellion, anarchy, and unrest, and what remains holds its ancient heritage dear. While being among the most advanced nations in existence, their numbers are few, and their days counted.

Name: Vostroyan Protectorate

Type of Government: One Grand Council to rule them all.
Leader(s): Grand Councilor Kehlmon Ulthanesh
Home Planet: Vostroya

Vostroya

Population - 2.5 billion

Vostroya is a verdant civilized world, covered with cities whose halls are no longer merry places to see. While it is one of the few Vostroyan planets that survived the Fall, it still hasn't recovered, and the surviving Vostroyans shed tears of rage to see that all their achievements for the past 2,000 years have been all reduced to ash in a mere decade.

Colonized Systems - 120

Total Population - 31 billion
Morality: It is difficult to gauge whether the Vostroyans are good or evil, but it can be best to say that at best, they are more or less sympathetic neutrals, and at worst, are fickle murderers that will not hesitate to stain their blades with the blood of their so called allies if it is for the interest of the survival of the Vostroyan race.
History: The Vostroyans are a result of a series of genetic experiments carried out by a race known only as the Elder Race. The Elder Race soon perished by its own hand, and the Vostroyans moved to inherit their position as one of the greatest empires in existence. Using the Elder Race's technology, the Vostroyans quickly expanded through the stars, uplifting many primitive species and making contact with numerous space faring civilizations, causing their technology to advance even more. The empire expanded, later ruling a grand total of 100,000 star systems, and exerting indirect control over much of the galaxy. However, they proved to be unchallenged for so long that the inherent dark side of the Vostroyan psyche took over. In a single decade, rebellions, purgings, anarchy, and murder skyrocketed in various Vostroyan planets with no clear reason. It took the beleaguered Seers 6 years to realize that in their complacency, the Vostroyans sought to feel every sensation, whether painful or pleasureable. The Vostroyans are a race whose minds are fickle and incomprehensible. Their psychic potential causes them to be more darker in thought than any other race, and thus, their dark desires overwhelmed the greater part of the population. In a desperate move, the Grand Council of Vostroya ordered what loyal elements in the military remained to purge those Vostroyans that have fallen. It resulted in a massive slaughter. But bear in mind, none of them are innocent, and none of them would ever wish to turn from their dark path. Those that remained looked upon their ruined empire... and shed tears of anguish. The greater part of their race was destroyed, but it was for the greater good. In order to prevent such things from happening again, the Seers of Vostroya established a rigid lifestyle for all to follow. While some resented it at first, it was soon realized that it was for their own sakes, and followed.

Now, the remnants of the Vostroyans look upon the stars. Many have fallen. In a cold, uncaring universe, will the Children of the Elder Race survive?

Technology
The Vostroyans are a highly advanced race, and yet, they have lost much knowledge due to their empire's fall. They will know more of the universe than most races ever will, and still they have lost a significant amount of knowledge. Despite this, the Vostroyans refuse to give in to the universe's cruelty, and are well known and feared in the galaxy.

No other race has ever replicated the Vostroyans's unique approach to technology, nor have they taken learnings from the "primitive" races that have inherited the galaxy. The brutality and ignorance of other races appals the Vostroyans, whilst the aloof arrogance of the Vostroyan race fosters little trust in others. Vostroyan technology adheres closely to natural biological shapes and structures. This is quite understandable, as there is no real difference between technology and nature in the Vostroyan mind -- they are a single process by which the Vostroyan imbue living things with function and functional things with life. The materials the Vostroyans use in their engineering are complex and varied ectoplastics that can be formed into solid shapes under psychic pressure. In some respects they are more like living tissue than inert substances, growing and reacting to their environment in a similar way to plants. The completed device or artefact may work in a conventional manner, but is operated by psychic means. The greatest of the materials the Vostroyan employ is called Strathite: an immensely resilient substance that is grown rather than made, more resilient than steel and far more flexible. When a strathite construct is damaged, it will gradually repair itself, a process that can be accelerated by the psychic chanting of a Strath-seer. Because of this, the greatest war-constructs are made almost entirely from strathite, giving them extreme durability and strength.
Location of the Protectorate

The Protectorate is located near the galactic core of the Milky Way Galaxy, on a teetering edge with the supermasssive black hole that forms the very core. Thousands of planets lie scattered in the former territory of the late Vostroyan Empire, forever lain to ruin. However, at least 178 Vostroyan worldships are scattered around the galaxy's entirety. These worldships bore the last remaining sane Vostroyans when the Vostroyan Cosmo Navy unleashed orbital bombardments on each and every planet, purging the fallen from the face of the universe. These worldships then became the refuge of the survivors for nearly 3,000 years while the planets recovered. After this, the worldship's denizens settled on planets sufficiently recovered to resettle them. However, other worldships never resettled, as the were caught in the pull of the supermassive black hole in the galactic core. Many were lucky enough to warp out, but others were subsequently destroyed.

Military Vessels

Escort -

Pulsar Class Destroyer

250

Most notable for its simplicity, it has a deadly Pulsar Lance, highly efficient stellar drives, and nothing else. The Pulsar crushes single targets with a single deadly blow from its pulsar lance, ripping them from their base atoms. As its Pulsar Lance and stellar drives draw so much energy, its crew are usually little more than skeleton crews that fire the gun and pilot the ship. They are incapable of repelling boarding actions... if the foe can get near enough.

Terror Class Destroyer

250

True to its name, the Terror Class is a terrifying prospect indeed. While indeed smaller than the destroyers of other races, it is by no means weaker. Armed with a wave motion cannon and a hundred side batteries, the Terror is fully capable of destroying enemy ships larger than itself.

Cruiser Classes -

Blackveil Class Cruiser -

250

Arguably the most effective attack cruiser of the Vostroyan Starfleet, the Blackveil is the bane of the shipping of any starfaring empire. True to its name, the Blackveil strikes from the shadows and retreats before the foe can strike back.

Stardeath Heavy Cruiser-

250

The Stardeath is a notorious starship that is capable of outrunning even the swiftest escorts of other races. IT combines firepower, high amounts of manoeuvrability, and tremendous speed into a single terrifying package.

Battleship Classes-

Brightstar Class -

250

The pinnacle of Vostroyan Starship technology, the Brightstar is a rare, prized, and dangerous battleship that easily obliterates lesser ships with its superior weaponry. The Brightstar is highly manoeuverable for a battleship, and are more than a match for the larger battleships of other races with its speed, holo-fields, pulsar cannons, wave motion gun, and hundreds of kinetic and laser batteries.

History: Kehlmon Ulthanesh is one of the most, if not the most powerful of all the Seers of the Grand Council of Vostroya. Born from the ancient worldship of Idharae, Kehlmon has always been observed by both his peers and elders as having high psychic potential. While such occurrences in the worldship of Idharae, as it is known for genetically engineering its populace in the past to have a higher chance of being born with Seer-level psychic powers, Kehlmon was far more powerful than most. At a ripe young age of 21, Kehlmon already learned how to use half of his power in full, and in three more decades, he already wielded his full psychic potential. With this in hand, Kehlmon soon became the youngest Seer to ever unlock his powers in full. The entire Idharae worldship held him in high renown, and the Vostroyan Grand Council soon took notice of the powerful Seer from the wandering worldship. The Seers of the Grand Council offered him a position amongst them, promising to teach him the ways of wisdom so that he will always use his powers for the good of the Vostroyan race. This he accepted, and within 100 years, he held such high respect that he effectively became the Grand Council's leader, even though it was intended that each member had equal voice. The other Seers, however, cared not, as Kehlmon was leading the empire to an age of glory. Until... it happened. Rebellion. Murder. Anarchy. All at once, these events struck entire sectors of the empire, destroying much of what was built over the last 20,000 years. With a heavy heart, Kehlmon and the rest of the Grand Council ordered the fallen to be purged. They must die, or else we will die likewise. Such was the slaughter.

Now, Kehlmon leads what remains of the beleaguered Vostroyan race. Most do not know this, but Kehlmon and his Grand Council have directly or indirectly caused or affected the conflicts amongst other races. These conflicts had the Vostroyans intervene in order to steer fate into their own favor. A hundred Vostroyan lives are more important than a tiny pinchful of the teeming hordes of lesser races that have inherited the galaxy. Such actions can be said to be inhumane or selfish, but the Grand Council knows well that every conflict that is avoided is equal to more lives saved on their own side. With few Vostroyans left as well their population in decline from the conflicts that beset them from all sides, the ends would have to justify the means.

I apologize for the delay, life is busy every so often. Your pictures need updated, but the rest seems fine, GM team will discuss it and approval will be delivered by tomorrow evening at the latest.

We apologize. The little switch the mods did made us unfollow all threads and I lost where this entire HP was at...

The grand GM council has spoken my friend!

We over all had few quarrels with your posting quality and the unfinished CS you sent us. However before we accept you into this rp we have a few things to ask of you.

You CS over all lacks detail in my opinion. It doesn't tell us quite enough about your creation.

What do you people look like? Are they green slender men? I can't be quite sure, all I know is that they are tall slender humanoids/humiforms. Sounds like slendermen to me.
What is the limit of their physic power and what does this entail for both the average citizen, and your seers? What type of psionics are we talking about here and how are they used?
Who are the seers? I'd like more detail on them.
What the hell are Wraithbone Automatons? What do they look like, what do they do, what are their capabilities, etc.

You are also missing characters. Those are quite important in this character driven rp.

Over all, add the details I've requested, create characters, and over all embellish on your creation, the people, their culture/society, technology and what ever you please. It doesn't have to be a novel or anything crazy, just enough so we know what we are dealing with and can be sure you've truly thought out your creation. Its much more enjoyable for all parties when you take the time to breath life into your work :)

Look forward to having you join us!

Can I have dimensions on their height? Seems you didnt add details to their appearances
