The Kitsune Siren
The Foxy with the Moxxie

Whenever Jayla said that she wished truck-kun would take her from the cruel world she lived in, she did not mean literally! She remembered simply going out with some friends and had crossed the street while talking with one of them. Then, their light suddenly changed from go to stop, and the sudden empty street had a singular speeding truck that was heading right towards them. Without a second thought, Jayla pushed her friend out of they way and white filled her vision.
The next thing she knew: she woke up.
She had woken up in a bedroom that definitely wasn't hers. With a face that definitely wasn't hers! Wait a minute....this face looked familiar. She stood up and walked over to the nearby vanity and stared into it, eyes widened at the reflection that stared back at her. This wasn't her. This was Josephine Lauren Strelitz! One of the antagonists of Sonnett of the Twilight Kingdom of Hearts! Now, normally Jayla wouldn't play anything romance generated. Especially an Otome game! But one of her friends suggested it to her since the main protagonist was a plus sized woman of color. How could she say no?
The game started with the background of the main kingdom of focus: the Edessa Empire. One of the main empires in this world. And one of the second of wealth if memory served her right. The kingdom, while the second most wealthy and had strong military, often had trouble keeping such status from other empires. Jayla remembered there being possibly a few battles going on during the game, but they weren't important to the main character, so there wasn't much to do. But she did remember plenty of things: the battles on screen, the dealings, the antagonists, the status of the main character, and the harem.
Katherine Addison Strelitz was the protagonist of the game, and this the main attention of everyone around her. Having a twin brother, the two were raised by their parents to be the heirs of the Strelitz estate. Meaning the overseeing the tradings and the trading of silks and cloth that went through their family. Katherine was a strong headed yet kind woman who went into her work with the goal of making sure everything worked for their family. She knew that even with their rich standing, she knew that it could go away with all of the fighting that's been going on. It wasn't a surprise on how she captured the harems attention. And then there was her sister: Josephine.
Josephine was younger by her sister and brother by two years, but even that was enough to make the distance between them. Yes, Josephine was given the proper teachings and attention from her parents, but she knew that with the twins born, they had succeeded in heirs to take up both titles from their parents if need be, leaving her with nothing. There wasn't much about her other than her antagonising her sister since they were young and trying to gain the attention of the harem, but she did remember the musings of Katherine. Of how Josephine often starved herself or wore smaller clothes in order to look thinner and capture the attention of a suitor.
The poor girl. Jayla-no Josephine sighed. She really did have so much potential. To see it all go to waste in order to get attention of her family.
"Don't worry, I'll take good care of us from now on." She murmured, gently brushing a hand over the mirror before a hand startling herself from her thoughts as a knock interrupted her thoughts.
"My lady? Are you awake? It's time to get ready for the royal celebration." A feminine voice, a maid no doubt, called out from the other side of the door.
Celebration? Oh! The royal celebration! That meant she wasn't that too far from the first chapter. The royal celebration was when the royal guards were welcomed back from the last war against a warring empire. It was also where Katherine met three of the harem members: the prince, the royal knight, and the friend of the royal knight. Jayla would admit that she played those routes before, but out of those current ones, she was interested in the royal knights route the first.
"Yes! I'm ready!" Josephine called out, the maid soon walking in with two more to get her ready.
That that's how she ended up in the carriage with her family, wearing one of the dresses that fit her figure better than Josephine's other clothing and her hair done in a formal fashion. As she rode in the carriage, gazing out the beautiful scenery, she mused of all of the things she had to change about Josephine. One of them being her wardrobe and diet. Even if she did eat breakfast, she could still feel her body aching for more after years of being starved from a proper meal.
She also noticed the looks her family members gave her. Josephine usually greeted them with respect except for Katherine. But when she greeted them all in respectful terms, wore more fitting clothes, and seemed happy to be in their presence, they all seemed to notice something was off with Josephine one way or another.
Oh well, she could deal with all for that later. But for now, she wanted to see the ball!!
