Technology Rank: 7.8

FTL Travel: The Vaidans use a modified form of hyperspace technology. It does not depend upon hyperspace routes like traditional hyperspace, but the existence of them considerably speeds up the process of jumping. Hyperspace routes are found naturally throughout the Universe, but it is theorized subspace projectors could be employed to generate artificial, controlled routes. Vadian FTL uses a lot of energy, so FTL jumps take a while to charge up and calculate, which can make emergency retreat jumps pretty difficult. Small jumps between neighboring systems can only take a few minutes. Jumps across a small-moderately sized sector can take several hours. Some science ships have an advanced version of the FTL that sacrafices range to make jumps faster.

Technological Development Focus:

Exceptional Technologies:

Combat Automatons are robots that can be mass produced for about the same cost as training, equipping, and feeding the average soldier. Their performance is comparable to the average soldier as well. They have been hardened against cyberattacks or electromagnetic pulse strikes. Their main downside is the difficulty of maintaining them in the field, as they need to be kept supplied with energy and require expensive repair stations to be deployed for anything more than basic upkeep.

The Mk. II Heavy Knight walker is a 30m tall walking mech that is heavily armored, shielded, and armed with several autocannons mounted upon it, a missile launcher upon it’s back, and, on his arms, weapons the like of rocket launchers, recoilless rifles, and, a personal favorite of the pilots of the walkers, a massive blade with a chainsaw blade. The Knights are even harder to maintain than the basic Automatons. Usually, if a Knight incurs anything more than light damage, it must be taken back to a planet which has a Knight Production Facility for repairs.

The Astartes Imperial are a genetically modified cadre of elite warriors wearing power armor, and armed with a myriad of weapons ranging from smaller, handheld versions of the Knight’s chainsword, to the Heavy Kinetic Bolt Weapons, more commonly known as Boltguns or Bolters. They exist in a variety of forms, from bolt pistols to large bolt weapons that serve the purpose of a heavy machine gun. These Astartes are highly capable warriors, but are totally overshadowed and dwarfed by even the worst units of real Adeptus Astartes. Whereas subjugating a normal planet would take 100 Space Marines, it would take at the very least close to, if not tens of thousands of Astartes Imperial.

Culture: Imperial culture is a melting pot of both core Vadian culture from the capital and the many alien races the Empire has conquered. Many different customs are practiced in the Empire.

Government: The core of Vadian Government is the Planetary Government, led by the Planetary Governer. The title can either be elected, inherited, or appointed by the Sector Government. Sectors contain hundreds or thousands of Planets, and they are led by an Imperial Lord. This title, can, again, by inherited, elected (by a body of the Planetary Governers in the Sector), or appointed. Lords usually hold office for life unless they retire. The next highest are the Oversectors. There are 10 Oversectors, and each is commanded by a High Lord who is appointed directly by the Emperor. The High Lords have their own appointed advisors and command staff under them. At the top is the Emperor, and his Council of Ten Thousand. They serve like a Senate, but their power is comparable to the Roman Senate in the days of the Empire. Their primary function is to advise the Emperor on various matters, though they do have the power to run the day-to-day Imperial "Federal Government"

Military: The Imperial Military is the Empire’s prized institution. There are roughly 10 trillion active Organic soldiers in the Imperial Army, and a further 75 million Combat Automatons, with hundreds of thousands more being produced daily. There are 50 trillion in the Reserves.

The Empire operates over 50,000 Mk II Heavy Knight Walkers

The Imperial navy consists of many ships, from the uncountable Kaison Industries V29 Jackal, an advanced, flexible fighter, to the several hundred Imperator class Dreadnoughts, hulking warships packing enough firepower to subjugate a system.

The Imperial Military is commanded by career officers that are well-educated in military strategic and doctrine by the finest military academies in the Empire. The Imperial Military is strictly a meritocracy, with even the vast majority of commissioned officers rising up through the ranks. Buying your way up the ranks in the Vadian Military is unheard of. Imperial Naval Doctrine focuses on a three-pronged strategy of attacking at long range first with Heavy Mass Accelerators, large railguns mounted upon most Naval ships, then closing to range and either boarding the enemy ships or bringing the large turbolaser batteries that compose their primary weapons to bear. Fighters and bombers are also employed, with the Fighters escorting the bombers and shielding the capital ships as well as making attack runs on enemy ships with wing-mounted ordinance while bombers make attack runs on enemy capital ships and static positions.

On the ground, Imperial tactics vary regiment to regiment and division to division. However, general doctrine usually involves the use of infantry to fix and suppress the enemy in a static position via the use of automatic support weapons while another unit of infantry maneuvers to get into an effective position and destroys the enemy unit. Air support is also heavily valued, as are armored vehicles, which are used to transport infantry, support infantry, and, in the case of the Empire's Gearson Battle tanks, seek and destroy enemy armor. In some alternative cases, infantry and armor will work in very close order to overwhelm hostile forces with a strategy of shock and awe. Space forces, be it orbit bombardments or additional troops in drop pods, are, needless to say, very useful in either of these scenarios. One of the main flaws of the military is that the Council of High Command, seated on Vadia, is, despite being some of the most experienced and loyal soldiers Vadia has, have immense power. So much power, that on no fewer than 5 times in Vadian history has a member of the Council proclaimed themselves Emperor and caused a civil war. In the field, some units of different backgrounds or planets with a particular rivalry dislike eachother and will even deliberately withhold crucial support, as happened in the Battle of Tannen early in the Reebaal war. Two regiments were fighting Reebaal forces and were poised to take a swift victory when one of the two regiments, knowing hte other was from a planet that had ceased sending food shipments to their famished homeworld (largely to prevent food shortages of their own) decided to reinforce the other regiment when they came under sudden, immense Reebaal attack. In the end, the Reebaal ended up managing to destroy both regiments as they were engaged piecemeal.

History:  The Vadian people arrived on Vadia some time long ago. In ancient times, humanity sent a colony ship out to a new planet that had just been discovered in the Milky Way. However, their FTL malfunctioned and they were flung into hyperspace for many years until they eventually emerged in the Centurion System. They touched down on Vadia, seeing as it's scans showed an earth-like environment, and set up their own new tribes, kingdoms, and nations. Eventually, a large portion of these nations joined together in an alliance known as the Coalation for World Unification. This coalation compiled the resources of most of the planet, and they began to invade the rest of the world. They managed to, over the course of 10 years, totally dominate the planet. In a bold ceremony, one of the leaders of the nations was crowned Emperor Vadius I of Vadia. They began to spread across the stars rather quickly, sinking huge amounts of money into colonization efforts. They steamrolled the various alien nations around them, with the only real fight being against the Reebaal Confederation, a group of Alien nations and races that banded together in an attempt to stop Vadian Imperialism. The two sides were evenly matched and a costly war was waged for decades until the 501st and 495th Imperial Shock Divisions were able to spearhead a costly war of attrition to take the Reebaal capital planet of Hotstantos. Now, with their region of the galaxy secure. The Vadians have developed powerful enough FTL technology to expand into the greater galaxy.

Okay, let's get going priyatel.

 • As everyone else, your FTL description will need to contain some more stuff, like a general description of range, time and energy needed, stuff like that, and especially, advantages and disadvantages/weaknesses.
 • Your are going to have to add some weaknesses in the description of your robots and knight walkers, if cybernetic and EMP attacks are out of question.
 • As for the Astartes, you will have to clearly specify the differences between them and their original forms in Warhammer 40k, since using them in the exactly same way is impossible due to their original OP-ness.
 • Your Government description is not finished.
 • Your military should need a larger description. Try to mention things like doctrine, strengths, and weaknesses.
 • Your history is well.. I would have personally liked a bigger description, but I'm someone who loves details, so that is objective. Still, you should at least end your last sentence with a period. It would also be nice if you could add some details about that Reebaal Confederation. Nevertheless, for the aliens you're mentioning, if you want to use them, you will have to create race apps for them.

Everything looks good.  Nation is accepted, and feel free to start posting.  Although, it would be appreciated if you could app the races in the near future.
