Bringing the rules in here too in case anybody forgot about them...
1. All RPN rules gotta be followed
2. Don't make everything about you
3. No over the top characters. Creativity is encouraged, but no crazy unrealistic stuff, please
4. Real face claims please and thank you! If you can't find one, just try to give a detailed description of your character in you CS
5. Be courteous to other people, and if you have a problem, come to me about it
6. Try to avoid one-liners as much as possible, there isn't a limit to how much you write, but at least a small paragraph is ideal
7. No spamming chat of course. There should always be at least two posts between yours (UNLESS we have a situation where someone is unable to reply and we have to keep the RP moving with them on stand
8. Have fun? (That's what this is about ain't it?)

Name:
Jena Lee Rose
Nickname(s):
Jen (Though most just call her Jena...)
Age:
16
Grade:
Junior (11th)
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Straight
Height:
5 ft. 3 in.
Role in Band:
Lead Bassist
Bio:
Jena was raised by Hippies. Yes. Hippies. Pot-smoking, make-peace-not-napalm, flower crown weaving hippies. Yeah, so her parents and their friends might have been a little stuck in the 70s, but it wasn't such a big deal. The day her parents brought her home they threw a party, inviting their closest friends, three married couples (Mary and Clide - Katerina and Jennifer - Delilah and David). They gathered around and sang kumbaya while passing around a baby and a bong. Sure it wasn't the most healthy thing, but they all loved that little baby to death. The group of hippie types raised her in such a way that it could have been easy to forget which couple were her real parents. They took turns watching her and each taught her different things about life. There was never a moment in her young life that she wasn't surrounded by people who loved and protected her. She got on pretty well for the first few years of her life. They all taught her to appreciate the Earth and everybody on it, all while being very, very, high. The group homeschooled her until she turned 14 and she was always a very bright girl. Though she was also severely sheltered and grew up in an extreme state of naivety. It wasn't until her first year of high school that she really realized her family life wasn't exactly normal. She was teased incessantly the first day she showed up to school, a flower crown in her dark wavy hair, wearing a too-long draping shirt and a patchwork skirt. Since then she's learned that hippie clothing is not exactly chic, but she didn't let that get to her too bad. She learned so much that first year of high school; how to make friends with people, how to communicate with humans who aren't high... She adapted slowly, but eventually, she started dressing in a way that she felt very comfortable, while not being ridiculed and keeping a close bond with her family.
It was with her dad, the biological one at least, that she found her passion for music. He taught her to sing and play the guitar. He had played the guitar for years, singing old 70s songs as him and his friends passed around the weed. He taught her too, and she fell in love with the instrument, but when a friend let her test out their bass at school, she fell harder. She spent her entire savings that she'd earned taking care of her neighbor's cat and babysitting her cousins on a used bass guitar she found online. Ever since then she's played like her life depended on it. When the band was starting up, her family was a little unsure about it. They would never have stopped her from doing something she wanted, but they were scared it would either take her away from them, or that gaining fame would swallow her whole. They very reluctantly gave her permission to go on the tour of the states when that came up, and called her every morning and night while they were touring. The topic of the band is still something of a sore subject around the family, but they try to ignore it best they can.
Personality:
Jena is, well, Jena. She is one of the most optimistic people you'll meet and is always too quick to trust. She can't help it really. She is extremely open-minded and easily excited but can go a little over the top sometimes. She also has zero sense of a 'personal bubble' or a 'filter', which can prove problematic at times. Not that she really ever has something offensive to say, but she can sometimes get too close for comfort around people who aren't used to her personality. Though, if she knows you well enough and you can't stand it, she'll do her best to remember and respect your space even if it's against her nature. Music is something that affects her more than anything. Happy songs make her happy, sad songs make her sad, and anything with a good beat can get her on her feet and dancing. She's naive and sometimes it can come across as simply being gullible, but she's still fairly book-smart; it's the 'street-smart' and 'people-smart' stuff that stumps her.
Jena cannot stand conflict. Violence, or simply raised voices, will send her cowering in a corner or running for the hills. When put in a position where she has to make a quick decision she'll often clam up on the spot. Despite this, on stage or while performing, she radiates confidence. She practically glows. Music is her 'happy place'. She also loves paint. Sure, she has no clue how to use it, but finger painting on a canvas is one of her all-time favorite hobbies. However, she is a dreadful artist when it comes to visual arts.
Being outdoors~Being around friends~The guitar & the bass~cats~performing~coffee~sunflowers~caramel
Violence~Conflict~The smell of weed or cigaretts~ sitting still~silence~
Appearance:
Jena has wavy, dark brown hair and striking, pale green eyes. She almost always has a smile on her face and walks like she's lighter than air. Jen is fairly short and thin, and usually wears a lot of small silver rings. Her clothes are mostly loose fit or lacey clothes. She doesn't wear makeup but has pristine skin and long, dark eyelashes. Generally, she is considered very pretty...
14abe6b80eaee001169399275118.gif
Extra:
Jena loves her family but has never been too fond of their lifestyle. By that, I mean she can't stand the smell of weed and has mild asthma so she tends to stay away from home as much as possible. She has a hard time following sarcasm a lot of the time and doesn't get innuendos or dirty jokes either. She can sing, but she would much rather just play the bass. Whenever she says 'family', she means her biological parents and her other nonbiological parents... Jena is a bit of a klutz too and, because of her parents her clothes always smell a little like weed or cigarettes, but she tries to cover it up with vanilla Ferbreeze...

Will Probably add more to this as the RP goes...

Name:
Breyden Hendricks
Nickname(s):
Sometimes 'B', or Brey
Age:
17
Grade:
Junior
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Straight
Role in Band:
Comic Relief (Self-appointed)
Bio/History:
Breyden's home life was rocky since before he was born. Both his parents, Madison Krey and Landon Hendricks, came from filthy rich families who's only desires were to become filthier and richer... They got married in a sort-of publicity stunt. Big-business Lawer meets Heiress turned Fashion star. Breyden was a product of this loveless union. He was practically raised by a nanny in his unhealthily massive home. When he did get to see his parents, he did his best to steal their attention from either fighting each other or working enough that they wouldn't have to speak to each other. It hardly ever worked. They shipped him off to a boarding school when he was 9 years old, but after a year there, he started getting into trouble. Pulling pranks on the teachers mostly. If he was honest with himself, he probably did it to either get back at his parents or just to get their attention. Either way, when he was sent home near the end of his second year, after accidentally catching half the science wing on fire, you could say his parents were not pleased. It was probably the first time they had really spoken to him... though it was pretty loud speaking. They hired a homeschool tutor to work with him for a year, but when he turned 13 he finally was able to convince his parents to send him to a normal public school. They ended up enrolling him in the same school as this group and he found his place pretty quickly. He never really stopped trying to gain his parents' attention, but now he at least had people he could talk to and be himself around. He's never had any talent in music, being tone-deaf and 'all thumbs', but he's loved it for as long as he could listen. It was what he blasted in his bedroom when his parents weren't home, which was often, or when they were ignoring him, which was almost even more often. When the band formed, Breyden felt a little left out, but he stuck with the band and they invited him everywhere. He's practically a groupie. The group comes over to his house a lot since it's so big and his parents are always out.
Personality:
Honest, you will probably never find a more dependable guy. Breyden's sense of loyalty is practically off the charts, and probably because of his problems with his parents. He likes to feel needed and wanted and will try to make others feel the same. He is supportive and can be pretty sweet when he wants to be too, though if you rub him the wrong way he can put up a sort-of tough guy wall. As the self-appointed comic-relief character in the band, Breyden has a massive sense of humor. He will laugh at just about anything remotely funny, especially dad-jokes, and is a pun-king. Prank wars never go unfinished with this guy, and he will fight to the death to be the winner of them. Mostly, he just likes to have fun. The times when you see him down, aren't common, but when they happen he isn't great at hiding his emotions. If he's upset, you'll know. The main cause of a down-attitude for Breydon would have to be any mention of his parents or being ignored. That's probably his biggest problem; he cannot stand being ignored. And because of his history being ignored he won't do it to anyone else, so instead of 'ghosting' or 'silent-treatment' from him, you'll get a confrontation. He is pretty big on talking things out and doesn't like to fight, but certain subjects rile him up. Most of the time, if he gets angry, he'll storm off rather than fight you though, to give himself time to cool down before talking again. He is mildly intelligent, though he doesn't exactly try his hardest in school. He picks up on social cues fairly well, but also can be kinda oblivious when it comes to people flirting or something like that with him.
Extra:
He was in a relationship with a girl outside the band (her name was Kylie if that comes up ever), but she broke up with him before they went on tour because she thought (and probably correctly so) that he was always choosing his friends over her...
Appearance:
He is tall, about 6'4 and lightly muscular from years of fencing lessons and soccer. His hair is a chocolate brown and always a bit disheveled. Wears super casual clothes, though they're always neat, and has light brown eyes.

Lead Singer
[div class=tag]personality.[/div] Melissa has been through alot in her short lifespan, and because of this, she's had to grow up faster than alot of her peers. But at the same time, when someone has to grow up fast like that, a part of them sometimes get stuck in a childish mindset. Some people might not be sure how to take Lissa, because at one point they can meet her and she could be totally closed off, or they could come across her and she be wide open. She does tend to open up more to people she knows and trusts, but she's also not the type to disregard someone just because she doesn't know them.

Offstage she may be a bit confusing, but onstage she puts her all into performing. She almost has a completely different persona when behind the microphone, one that people want to get to know and love watching. She wants to take that onstage persona and be more like that offstage, but it's a hard feat for the girl to manage. Impulsive and impatient, she rarely thinks things through before doing them, both onstage and off. [/div][/div] [div class="tabContents tabContents03"]
[div class=tag]bio.
Lissa grew up with an alcoholic father and a drug addicted mother. She had an older brother, Luke, who swore to always take care of her. He protected her when their parents got into fights, and held her as she cried herself to sleep. Living in that house was hell, but Luke made it okay. He made sure she had clothes on her back and food in her belly, and as she got older he made sure that she finished her homework and helped him with the chores. It wasn't his job to be a parent to her, but he took it upon himself to do.

Maybe that's why he committed suicide. Lissa came home from school one day at the tender age of twelve to find that he'd hung himself, right there in his bedroom. He'd left a note that she still has to this day, although nobody knows about it. Her screams caught the attention of her parents, who rushed in to find their son dead and cold, and their daughter trying to tear him down and bring him back.

His death straightened out her parents. For a little while. Lissa started dealing with depression mood swings and was diagnosed as bipolar at fourteen after her mood swings became so much that not even her parents could handle them. They spent months fighting with her to get her to take her pills, but it wasn't until a friend got her into music and singing that she really started to take her health seriously. She found her current band/group of friends, though she can't help but feel like an outsider still at times. [/div][/div] [div class="tabContents tabContents04"]

Name:
Christian Kaliko Sanchez
Stage Name/Nickname:
Kosta
Age:
17
Grade:
Junior
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Straight
Role in Band:
Drummer
Bio/History:
Kosta was born into a typical loving caring family. His parents Carlos and Khalani Sanchez run a fusion Mexican/Hawaiian restaurant in the heart of Honolulu inspired by both or their cultures. Kosta's father was the son of immigrant parents from Colombia he had joined the army to help his parents get by, when he graduated boot camp he was stationed out in Hawaii where he met his mother Khalani who was a native to Hawaii was working as a bartender and going to school for business. The two met at the bar Kosta's mother was working at and after weeks of talking they began dating. After three years of dating his parents got married and gave birth to him and his little brother Jaime Kelohi Sanchez. Growing up Kosta was well-aware he was cared for and loved by many. His parents would always make sure Kosta and his brother were well taken care of ,even going as far as adjusting their restaurant hours around their school schedule to make sure their sons ate before school and made it there safely
. Though both his parents were pretty wealthy his mom and dad raised Kosta to be a hard worker. When he was 14 Kosta started helping out at the family restaurant being a bus boy while still attending school. In school Kosta was an exceptional student he got mostly 'Bs' in all his classes sometimes 'Cs', getting grades that would get him by so his parents would allow him to play sports. Some would say he was your typical 'Jock' as he played Soccer and Football and most of his friends were his teammates.

When Kosta turned 14 his grandmother passed away leaving his grandfather all by himself. Kosta's father asked him to go back to the mainland to care for his grandfather. As much as it hurt Kosta to leave everything behind he eventually agreed to move into his grandfather's house and watch over him. Kosta had a hard time adjusting to his new life. With no family besides his grandfather or his friends he turned to music, he was drawn to the drums after watching a video of a drummer going wild during his solo. After watching the video Kosta went out the next day to buy a set of drums learning on his own how to play. At first it was just a random hobby of his but after hours of practice he eventually grew a strong passion for the drums

Personality:
Kosta comes across as your typical 'Jock'. He loves the outdoors and is very athletic, he enjoys being outside with his friends kicking a ball around. He is extremely nice and caring for others but it often comes out as him being a big flirt or a playboy, though he is a bit flirtatious. He's always checking up on people, asking people how they are and dragging them out to hangout with him. He loves to be surrounded by a group of friends and doesn't do so well when he's alone. He is the party type. He loves to go out and get 'trashed' with his friends and get wild. Though ever since he moved with his grandfather he has toned it down a bit. Kosta considers himself a reliable person, if you were to call his phone at 3 a.m he would pick up his phone and stay up all night if something was wrong. He is a good listener and loves helping others out rather is be emotionally, physically, or financially.

Although he is always cheery and loud its always hard to tell when something is up. If he has a problem with something or someone he holds it in and ignores it going about his day like nothing is wrong. If he doesn't like someone he just answers with short responses and goes out of his way to avoid that person but never directly addresses it. Though he hates conflict he has no problem getting physical when he's pushed to the edge with another male, if he feels that a physical altercation is the perfect answer then he won't back down when provoked.

Amazing, as always Goldie. Accepted!

Name: Amethyst "Amy" Johnson
Age: 17
Grade:
Junior
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Heterosexual
Role in Band:
Keyboardist
Bio/History:

Amethyst was raised in a very structured household, which is probably why she is so great when it comes to her organizational skills, and her attention to detail. Her father was an air force officer, and her mother was a librarian at the local university. Everything had a place and was to be in it's place. When she was really young she befriended some kids who were into video games and comic books, so naturally to fit in she learned a lot about it too and started downloading games online to play with them. while her parents didn't want to take away things she might enjoy because they believed that was a recipe for a rebellious teen, they also didn't think any of those things would get her anywhere in life. So a compromise was made, for every hour she spent playing a game she was to practice the piano, and for every comic book she read she had to read a novel of her mothers choice, and last but not least if she made below a C in school she couldn't play her games or read for fun at all until her grades got better. It wasn't ideal, but Amy knew better then to question her parents, and that this was them being quite fair. During the times she was grounded for poor grades, she was still made to read, but practicing the piano was so fun for her she would go well past the allotted time. This was also when she started writing more. First it was a simple diary, then it turned to poems, and slowly songs, and short stories.

Her parents were proud of the young lady she was becoming even if they still were sure which path her life would take. What they didn't expect was to be presented with a proposal to go on a nationwide tour. Mostly because they hadn't even realized she'd joined a band. Once she'd hit high school she slowly fell in with the choir and theater kids, and somehow met her current friends. When they had gigs or were practicing all she told her parents was that she was going to a friends to hang out, or tell them she was going to a concert. Which wasn't technically a lie, she just was omitting the parts about her participating in it because she wasn't sure if they'd approve. She thought that they'd think going after a career in music would leave her in their words "a starving artist' and "a dime a dozen with a dream". Neither of which was a future they wanted for her. However with a contract proving how good her band was and that they had a real shot in their face...it was difficult to say any of those things, so begrudgingly her mother signed. Her father still didn't approve and was adamant that she'd regret this.

It hurt not really having her families support, but she had her friends support and soon their fans. Being on tour was definitely more then she'd bargained for, but she never complained. The last thing she wanted was to prove her father right right now. She wanted to believe that her friends and the music was worth the struggles that it came with.

Personality:
To the outside world Amy was basically labeled the shy girl of the group while on tour. She was quieter then most of her fellow band mates especially when it came to interacting with fans or in interviews. It didn't help that even before they go their big break she didn't really talk much to people who she didn't consider her friend. Why would she, other then hello what was their to say unless she had to be grouped with them. This isn't to say she was mean or ignored people, she'd speak when spoken to and be polite, but she never just had extra unnecessary conversations with them. Most of the time you'd find her writing in her journal (usually song lyrics) or smiling and laughing with her friends. To her it was perfectly normal. She does have some introverted tendencies which when she would speak about them in interviews solidified the medias image of her. At first she wasn't sure about it all, but after some time she grew to accept it because it worked in her favor. If they didn't expect her to say much they didn't direct a bunch or weird questions at her that she honestly didn't want to answer and share with the whole world. Her more outgoing friends could have that.

However to her friends they know the truth about her, they know that all it takes is the right topics and she won't shut up about them. Talk to her about her favorite music, superheros, mythology, or Theater and you might be stuck there a while. She also loves to play video games, and can spend hours getting into the zone, and screaming at an online game, which is definitely the opposite of the shy girl painting the media believes. She also tends to be the voice of reason within the group, and tries to make sure everyone stays relatively on task when it comes to school deadlines. She'd hate for any of her friends to fail a grade and be left behind. They were a team and teams look out for one another and help each other. She's the girl with the organizer that's color coded and everything. Some of her classmates see her as a sort of nerd for it, but it's not like she makes all A's or anything. She's an average a bit above average in some subjects, due to music being her true passion.

Sometimes C. When Clara gets mad her grandmother calls her “la fuega”.
Age:
16
Grade:
Junior
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Bisexual
Role in Band:
Lead guitar, back-up vocals, songwriter
Bio/History:
When she was young, Clara was a pretty quiet girl. She was shy, loved reading and playing music, and didn’t have that many friends. When she started high school she ended up bonding with this group of people, and through it all her confidence started to grow. This newfound confidence was what brought her to start sharing her poetry, which turned into music pretty soon. Clara’s parents divorced when she was 3 years old, and her mother remarried and now has two sons - twins, aged 10. Her dad lives far away, working as a lawyer,, and she doesn’t see him often as they have a strained relationship. Clara’s mother teaches music at a local elementary school, and Clara grew up with a lot of music around her. Every day after school, Clara would come home to a warm house filled with music. Her grandmother lived with them, and was always there with an afternoon snack, playing latin music on the family’s record player. When her mother was making dinner, she would blast Prince from the CD player in the kitchen, singing and dancing along. Clara’s stepfather, Steve, would listen to AC/DC and Guns’n’Roses while cleaning the living room. Basically, there would always be music, and for that reason, Clara loves basically all genres. She has a particular interest in political music, alt rock, and latin folk music.

Clara has been playing Spanish guitar since she was ten, and picked up an axe (or electric guitar) when the gang started the band. Turns out, this guitar was even more fun than the spanish kind.
As mothers go, Clara’s is super protective. She hated the idea of Clara going on tour without her parents, but through a LOT of deliberating and compromise, Clara was finally allowed to go (with the condition that she videochat her family every night before a concert and call her mother before going to bed)

Personality:
Growing up with a strict mother has taught Clara a thing or two about standing up to authority, using her voice, and sneaking around without getting caught. She’s grown to be a rebellious young woman, with a strong sense of justice.
Clara can be hot headed, especially when stressed. She loves debating - human rights, politics, music, anything really. Her family says she got it from her father, but she is an Aries so that might have something to do with it. She loves astrology.
You can always count on Clara to be honest, to the point of being rude. She has little to no filter in that way, and her preffered method of love is the tough kind. Basically, if you need someone to be brutally honest (while still having your best interest in mind) Clara’s your gal. She will defend the people she cares about ruthlessly, but people who don’t know her tend to see her as quite reserved and some even say arrogant (or bitchy, if they’re really rude). She believes in people fiercely and will do what she can to push her friends forward, while still catching them if they should fall.

Clara does have her bad sides. When she’s dissappointed in people, mad at people, or hurt, she tends to shut everyone out instead of saying what’s on her mind. This is because deep down, she has a hard time trusting people.
She can be difficult to deal with, because she has a tendency to be very loud and sometimes has a hard time listening to other people - she’s been working on it lately, but still it’s an issue. She doesn’t act like this because she doesn’t care about other people or their opinions, but because she is very passionate and gets excited easily.

Grade:
Junior
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Heterosexual
Role in Band:
NA
Mini Bio:
Kylie comes from a big family. She has two older brothers, a twin brother named Karson, three little sisters, and a baby brother. She has always been really close with them all, even if they drive her crazy more often than not. She is very athletic. She is on the tennis team, swim team, dance team, and runs cross country. Her connection to the group was solely through Breyden for a while, though she was friends with Lissa when Lissa wasn't in the band. Her and Breyden started dating freshman year and seemed really into each other. As the band got more serious throughout their sophomore year, she constantly felt like Breyden put her second to the band and, while she supported them and liked them all, she didn't like how it felt. Before the talent show last year when they basically made their debut, they ended up being short a signer and she was able to introduce them to Lissa. Then, a few weeks before they left on tour and after he had told her she would be spending the whole summer with them, she decided she couldn't stay with him anymore and they broke up. They're still friendly and she likes to support and hang with the band.
Personality:
Kylie is a really chill, down to earth girl. She likes to be active and be with friends. She has self-confidence for miles and isn't afraid to be herself, be loud, be loud, or outgoing. She loves to have fun and party and dance and is never one to turn down a good time. She is also extremely protective of her friends, which definitely comes from her family. She has a pretty short temper when it comes to people being bullies or messing with people for no good reason. She has kind of a justice complex.
