The Republic of Northam seems, on its surface, seems to be an efficiently run nation built upon the ashes of the Old World. This as we all know, is an illusion. If you're reading this, it means you see beyond the illusion and you want to do something about it. Perhaps the council has summoned a loved one to the tunnels or arrested one for illegal possession of rations. Perhaps you simply refuse to believe the propaganda we are fed in school when you look out into the street and see people suffering because of the council's decisions. Northam is not a utopia. The only ones who live lavishly do it on the backs of everyone else. You are special. You want to change things. It is going to be a difficult road, I won't lie to you, but it will be worth it in the end when we finally get true justice for the citizens of Northam. We are the Dissenters. And now you are one of us too.
That message was written just a few days before its author went missing. An updated introduction message from the leader for the new recruits to the dissenters. No one knows where he disappeared to, only that he left on a mission and never returned or sent another communication. Now it's been almost a full year since his disappearance and the new leader of the dissenters is the old second in command. An android produced by the council's secret labs doesn't seem like the best fit at first to run a rebellion, but they escaped the council's lab and don't intend on ever returning.
The story begins when some footsoldiers bring in a prisoner—an enemy general. Only there's one catch, it's the former leader of the rebellion, and he doesn't remember a thing.
